Name: Yuu
Age:21 (Appearance-wise, though Yuu has been around many years.)
Gender: Female
Likes:
Water: Yuu is constantly dripping water, leaving wet footprints behind wherever she goes. She likes to be cold and damp, and is in her element in water.
Animals: Yuu, in her original incarnation, had a soft spot for the creatures of the later, and those that used it as a water source. Now, corrupted as she has become, Yuu has become carnivorous, and feels the inclination to hunt, something she struggles to reconcile with her affection for other creatures.
Dislikes:
Humans: Yuu in singularly hostile and aggressive towards humans. She dislikes their presence, how they smell, and how they look. She is also very suspicious of them. She is less unpleasant towards half-spirits, though still finds their appearance unwelcome.
Hot weather: The spirit becomes very uncomfortable in hot or dry weather.
Personality:
Yuu's persona is tied very strongly to the state and condition of the lake that she represents. The first time Yuu visited the amusement park it was as a patron and she both far more friendly, and far less hostile. On her second appearance however, the lake spirit appeared to take a job role, and appeared bitter and hostile.
Yuu has become a strange, rather morbid individual who seems to regard those around with a distinct air of pessimism. She is cynical and suspicious of the motives of others, and tends to suspect ulteriour motives in things. She has also become very possessive, with a tendency to hoard items and money and highly carnivourous tendencies.
Despite the spirit's evident instability, she is a very practical and reliable worker, if not very personable or polite toward patrons. She is very diligent and puts a great deal of effort and perfectionism into work, surprisingly so.
Due to being a spirit, she has little understanding of concepts like family of friendship, tending to get bemused by others becoming upset over such things. Yuu has become accustomed to a largely solitary life, and sees little wrong with that.
History:
Yuu is a lake spirit, having inhabited a small, remote, rural lake for many years as its guardian. The lake itself was Yuu's soul, and determined both her health and her nature. Many years previous, the spirit appeared quite human-like, and interacted freely with the humans who inhabited the region, as well as caring for the wildlife. Yuu's first visit to the park was as a patron, and the visit was perfectly pleasant. the water spirit was friendly, talkative, and generous with her money. She'd collected numerous valuables and offerings that had been dropped into the lake over the years, and she parted on good terms with those there.
Things changed for the worse however when Yuu witnessed a terrible event. One human killed another on the shores of the lake spilling their blood into the water, and throwing their body in as a means to dispose of it. As the body lay beneath the surface, the blood and death within the water began to poison Yuu's essence. She began to become progressively more monstrous. Yuu's frightening appearance made her attempts to alert the locals of the murderer fruitless, and they came to believe that it was her who had killed the missing resident.
The combination of the body in the lake, and the abandonment and accusation by the community caused Yuu to change, causing Yuu to become something altogether nasty. As hostilities rose she feared that her lake might be destroyed, and so she sought to distance herself from it, seeking out work at the amusement park.
Other:
As a full spirit, Yuu is able to manipulate water, and take on a monstrous form...both are quite taxing upon her, particularly as the lake she embodies is tainted.
