Country

Nelly (Rai) found herself rushing back to her cabin. She had completely forgotten that the two men coming to live with her where going to be there today, and at any moment. She gently pressed the heel of her boots into the side of her horse, Valentine, trying to make him go faster. He sped up a bit, but not fast enough for her taste, he was her newest horse and she was still trying to train him, and he was turning out to be quite stubborn. By the time she got back to the cabin a car had already pulled up to the front. Instead of getting off of Valentine she just decided to go up to the car on the horse. She had the horse trot up to it and she waited to see who would get out of the car. She couldn't tell if she was excited for these men or annoyed that they didn't know how to live life like they should. At the moment her short black hair was all disarray and she had dirt on her from riding Valentine through the mudded trail in the nearby woods, but she could really care less what their first impression of her looks were.

Jason slid out of the car in a nice button up shirt and a pair of slacks. He didn't particularly mind the horse or much of anything else for that matter. He figured he'd be in and out of there soon enough. He'd get back to his flowers and other things. He'd submerge his life. All would be well for him again. He admired the horse, but didn't care too much. He stood for a long time and didn't even watch the car drive away, and he found himself unable to really say anything to her. Talking to people was difficult unless it was on business terms.

Absentmindedly, he reached out a hand to the horse. He didn't like the time they were wasting by standing there. So, he broke the silence. "I am Jason Sanders, nice to meet you," he said calmly and a little quietly.

Nelly looked at him and got herself up and off of Valentine and flicked up the front of her hat so her eyes shown. "Pleasure to meet you Jason, I'm Nelly." She gave him a smile. She watched as Valentine pressed his muzzle into Jason's hand, "you might wanna be careful with this guy, he likes to bite, he thinks it's funny, don'cha boy?" She said stroking Valentine's neck. "You can go inside if you want. Once the other man gets here i'll take y'all out on the horses to look at the grounds if you wish." She looked at him and noticed he seemed somewhat quite, she knew she'd have to fix that, she liked to talk and if he was going to be quite the entire three months there, well she just wouldn't have it. Valentine stomped his back hooves a bit created a cloud of dirt and she coughed, "oh calm down boy." She patted his neck until he stopped moving once again, "sorry if he got'cha dirty."

He looked at the light covering of dust. Due to his time spent over flowers and gardening, it didn't bother him. He'd ruined much more expensive suits on his own. "It's alright," he said, shrugging "Nice to meet you Nelly." Jay Jay walked to the house. She seemed like a talkative person. He realized that he was going to have an interesting time to say the least. That was, assuming he got through it without anything happening. He didn't particularly like the idea of staying with a woman and another man. Especially not if they were going to be socialites.

He sighed. Already he missed his company. However, he was glad that it wasn't going to any of the Darcy side of his blood while he was away. Instead, it was in the hands of a competent young woman. That didn't make it any easier to be away from his work. His precious flowers. All that trade. He sighed and walked in, hardly even noticing. His mind was running through new trade options, new supplies, and other similar things.

She nodded and watched him walk off and she tied Valentine to a post she had out front made just to tie horses to. He wasn't very happy about this and she laughed, "hey don't worry Valentine, if either of the new guys act up, i'll tie them out here with ya." She was of course joking, but it made the horse snort in what seemed like a strange attempt at a laugh. She walked back to the front and watched as she saw the second car pull up to the cabin and she walked up to it.

Lucas rolled up to the house in a nice limo like he always travels in and sat up. He was wearing a nice colored button up shirt that half way unbuttoned from the girls he was with in the limo and some expensive designer jeans with some expensive shoes and his oakley sunglasses. As he stepped out of the limo he looked back and waved to the ladies. He grabbed his bags from the trunk and set them on the ground. He saw the women that was providing a house for him and she was kind of cute. Lucas lowered his sungalsses to the edge of his nose and looked her up and down, "Hey cutie I think we will get along just fine." He said as he pushed his Oakleys back to his eyes and walked into the house. He looked around and saw a guy in a business suit. "Hey buddy whats up your butt your so still relax man, I think your belts to tight." Lucas said to his new roommate. "So wheres my room are are we bunking together like back in camp when we were little cause if so I call top bunk." Lucas said with a laugh as he plopped down on the couch.

Nelly walked into the house just as he made the comment about getting the top bunk, "no, you boys each get your own room." She looked at the newest guy, "you never told me ya name." She looked at their bags, "i'll show you boys to your rooms so you can put away your things. Then we're going riding around the property." She turned to go down the hallway and turns to look at them, "if ya boys don know how to ride, then you'll just hafta learn fast, now won-cha?"

"The names Lucas." He said as he got up off the couch and followed her to a room and dropped his stuff in it and plopped down on the bed all sprawled out. "Finally a bed...I'm so tired. "Have fun trying to get mr. pint up to ride a horse, i'm going to sleep." He said as he wrapped his arms around a pillow and put it under his head, and with a yawn he passed out.

Nelly gave him a glare, already this guy is going to go against what i say? She thought to herself, i think not! She looks at him and walks over to him as he passed out and leans down to his face and smacks him on the side of the head, "once we're done riding, you can sleep. Now then, Lucas, you're going to listen to me or you're going to sleep with the horses." She gave him a fake smile and stood back up, "now come on."

Lucas opened his eyes and pulled her on top of him. "Dam your feisty." He said with a laugh as he pushed her off of him and walked out into the hall towards the bathroom.

"O just one problem here though I don't take orders from anyone lady so the more you tell me to do something the less likely it's going to happen." Lucas said as he stood in the doorway to the bathroom.

Nelly folded her arms across her chest and rolled her eyes at him, "well you better learn to listen to me boy. It's easy for someone to get lost out in these parts." She looked at Jason, "come on, your room is next to his." She showed him which door it was.

He followed. "Thank you Miss Nelly," he said. Jason didn't react to Lucas. It just didn't seem worth it to him. He was the kind of person who got a lot of money and ran around with girls and threw his money at useless things. He knew that he sometimes threw his money at some questionable items, but probably not to the degree that Lucas did. Regardless, it just wasn't worth it to try and engage in an argument with him. Jay Jay liked peace too much.

She nodded, "of course." She somewhat sighed to herself, so she was stuck watching a guy who seemed nice enough but didn't seem to talk much, and some guy who basically annoyed her and could care less what she said. Well this should be fun, she thought to herself. She looked back at Lucas, "fine, we won't ride horses tonight, but we are tomorrow if you like it or not." She was determined to get him to actually do what she said.
