Al gritted his teeth in disgust as the man explained what he had done to Sander. He glanced quickly at Drake, and instantly saw the hostility in his eyes. We can't risk anything right now, the situation is too delicate, Al thought, his mind whirring as he pondered the various courses of action they could take. Who knows what Malfoy might do if we kill one of his minions. He shot a quick glare at his half-draconian colleague, warning him to calm down.

"Should I give you a moment to think about it?" Jim asked, pointing towards the door, as if to indicate that he could leave for a while.

"There's no need," Al said, drumming his fingers on the arm of his chair. "We've already decided that we're not telling you anything. No matter what you do, you can't get any information out of me, or my friends."

"There's no need," Al said, drumming his fingers on the arm of his chair. "We've already decided that we're not telling you anything. No matter what you do, you can't get any information out of me, or my friends."

"Then you're of no use to me," Jim shrugged, his voice slightly high-pitched, indicating boredom. Glancing over at Sander, he raised a slight eyebrow in thought. "Well. He doesn't have long," he nodded towards the werewolf. "He'll either die of fright or turn into a wee wolfie on instinct within the next few minutes. If there's anything more, ring the bell," he gave a wave with two fingers and turned around to leave the room.

Sander didn't seem to be lucid at the moment, and showed no signs of reacting to anything spoken outside his own little bubble. His eyes were focused on a spot above him, as if the danger he was so afraid of was somewhere above him. His lips were trembling slightly, and his left eye twitched, as he drew in a breath of air.

"By the way," Jim said as he stood by the door, "if you were wondering, once Mr. Mathiasen is done throwing his little tantrum, I do believe you're next, Mr. Wendsleydale, if you survive. Unfortunately, Mr. Nightwing over here is expecting visitors," his expression turned slightly grim for a the first time, before returning to its usual smile. "Goodbye."

And with that, he left the room.

Drake caught Al's glare, and simply nodded. While Drake's look of hostility was still glanced over at Jim, the young half-dragon still made no move whatsoever from his position on the floor.

"There's no need," Al said, drumming his fingers on the arm of his chair. "We've already decided that we're not telling you anything. No matter what you do, you can't get any information out of me, or my friends."

And with that, he left the room.

...Drake blinked upon hearing and seeing that, his cold facade suddenly dropping with one of both confusion and alarm. ~What did he mean by that? Is Ryu...?~

He suddenly started fearing for his cousin's life, unaware of the true nature of the situation that was about to unfold.

OOC: For some reason it won't let me get to the OOC page so I'm posting here. Sorry for my absence of late but it's midterm/project season and I'm incredibly busy. However! I'm thinking I may be able to write up a quick post later on today :) Getting ready for school/dressing up right now. I'm being Robin Hood for Halloween and my cohort in Education (basically the group of people i'm with everyday) have decided to dress up! weeeee! What are you all being?

((Well, I was going to be a french person (striped shirt, fashion scarf, beret, etc...) but I changed my mind and decided to stay home. I actually came down with a rather nasty sore throat, so I'm glad I am. And btw, here's something sort of funny: the county I live in apparently has a law that doesn't allow people to trick or treat on Sundays, so my neighborhood is doing it tonight.))

"Goodbye."

Al glared at the man as he left. As soon as their captor closed the door, however, he rushed over to Sander's side. The poor werewolf was huddled up against the wall curled up in a ball. His glazed eyes stared at an unknown monster, the source of his insecurities. "Come on Sander, wake up!" Al said sternly, shaking his friend's shoulders. When that had no effect, he tried snapping by Sander's ears. Then came a variety of simple and advanced healing spells, all of which had no effect.

"Dammit!" Al growled in frustration. "Why can't I help him?!"

OOC: I can’t remember the exact words in Al’s message and since I can’t check back a page I’m going to… uh… improvise?

IC: Evelynne was vaguely aware that someone was kneeling next to her, but didn’t bother to check who it was. It could have been zombie!Voldemort and she wouldn’t have moved an inch. After her outburst her body seemed to have shut down completely, creating numbness from her head to her toes. Her body was trembling uncontrollably from the grief and rain soaked clothing that clung to her lean body, but her tears had stopped. Her face was streaked with the drying tears and her eyes were wide and bloodshot with little to no life left in their deep emerald glow. She lowered her arms to her sides, hugging herself as she lay on the grass shaking, and stared blankly up at the night sky (which was beginning to clear).

"...Right." Hermione stated, after a good moment and turning over to Kreazil, her eyes narrowing as she grasped the red potion. "We're onto you, Kreazil. I know I agreed to work for you in getting you my cousin's blood, but I'm seriously beginning to regret ever agreeing to your fanatical schemes here. Now that we know which one was the poison, I don't think we have to play your little guessing game anymore."

Harry stood up as Ryu kneeled next to Eve and made his way back towards Kreazil, having to use all of his willpower not to attack the wizard. He smiled weakly at Hermione’s statement, thinking that they may have a chance now, but unfortunately that wasn’t true.

[i["The game ends when you stop drinking and asking. I said there was one bottle of poison, I never said anything about the effects the other potions have. As I said, next potion, next question."

“We’ll ask our question from this potion in a moment.” Harry said shortly, not bothering to look at Kreazil, and stared at Hermione. He was about to speak when Ruy stood up and made his way towards Kreazil.

"Right." Ryu stated, withdrawing one of his knives and getting to his feet. "That's it. I know I agreed to help you for my father's sake, Kreazil, but this is just going too far for my tastes. I'm beginning to regret ever--"

He paused, as the silver form of a Patronus could be seen on the horizon.

"...the hell?" Ryu asked, his original statement dying in his throat as he registered what he saw.

Harry turned around wide eyed as a silver patronus raced towards them. It leapt over Evelynne’s rain soaked form on the grace, and padded to a stop in front of the group. Then, it looked directly at Harry and Al’s voice emanated from it.

Harry listened carefully, feeling dread rise in his stomach as he listened to Al speak through his Patronus. They were captured! Sander would be changing any time now! This was not good… not good at all.

Evelynne was still in shock, but the warm silver glow of the patronus brought her partially back to reality. She turned her head in the grass and forced herself to listen. She heard what Alphonse said and it took a moment to register what was happening. They were in danger? Lucious had them? Her mind raced through all the terrible possibilities of being locked in a room with a werewolf and she forced herself to stop before rising shakily to her feet. They were in danger and they needed help immediately. She wasn’t about to let anyone else die. Her heart thudded quickly in her chest, quickening pace as she thought about Drake’s kind smile and gentle touch. She couldn’t let him get hurt… not after Charlie had been killed. She should have gone with them! Maybe she could have done something to keep them from getting captured…

“H-Harry.” She spoke, shocked at how raspy her voice was from her screaming, “I’m going to go help them. Sander isn’t going to be able to last much longer before giving into the transformation.” She explained, moving closer because her voice was so quiet and weak. Eve knew, just by one look at Sander, that before they had left he didn’t have much time. She would be lucky if she got there in time. “I’m an animagus. I can run there and hopefully sneak up on them. If any of you take a broom they’ll see you.” She said, hoping she sounded convincing. Though it was the truth, Evelynne really couldn’t bare the thought of anyone else getting killed. If anyone was going to get hurt it would be her, not any of her group.

Harry listened to Eve and noticed the way she forced herself not to look towards Charlie’s lifeless body, focusing on her feet instead. He looked back to the animagus and frowned, unsure of what to do. He couldn’t very well leave Drake, Sander, and Alphonse nor could he leave Kreazil after Charlie had died for their question.

“Okay, go. But don’t be foolish, Eve.” Harry warned, though he was certain Evelynne was going to do whatever she pleased.

Evelynne muttered a quick thank you and then knelt down into the grass to clumsily pick up her wand. She stood back up and glanced towards Ryu, forcing her eyes to stay on his face and not flicker to Charlie’s body behind him, “Would you like to… join me?” She asked awkwardly, all grace gone from her voice, “You can run along side or… climb on my back.” Eve suggested, shifting from one foot to the other, and stuck her wand through her matted red hair that sat at the nape of her neck in a bun. She was quite large in her animagus form, an adult sized tiger, and would easily be able to support Ryu’s weight.

Ryu, Hermione, and Ron were all shocked as well to hear the news. Ryu grunted, his grip on the knife tightening. He glared at Kreazil once again, but turned as Evelynne spoke.

“H-Harry.” She spoke, shocked at how raspy her voice was from her screaming, “I’m going to go help them. Sander isn’t going to be able to last much longer before giving into the transformation.” She explained, moving closer because her voice was so quiet and weak. “I’m an animagus. Evelynne muttered a quick thank you and then knelt down into the grass to clumsily pick up her wand. She was quite large in her animagus form, an adult sized tiger, and would easily be able to support Ryu’s weight.

Ryu blinked, staring a bit. Sliding both of his knives back into their proper holsters, and making sure he had his wand, the young man nodded as he moved onto to climb onto Eve's back. It did feel a bit awkward, but he knew four legs were better than two. He had seen Drake drop down into a quadrupedal stance while running and had seen him double his speed easily. Ryu would never have been able to keep up.

"Heh. I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks." Ryu smirked. He bit back a crack about maybe letting him return the favor and have her ride him...though this was not the time nor was it appropriate to make such a suggestion. His family and their friends were in danger.

Hermione and Ron glanced at each other, then to Harry, and back at Kreazil.

"Heh. Looks like it's just us, then..." Ron bitterly sighed, a hand on Charlie's back. "...just like old times."

“We’ll ask our question from this potion in a moment.” Harry said shortly, not bothering to look at Kreazil, and stared at Hermione.

Kreazil watched as Ryu and Evelynne prepared to move out. At least the others did not pay heed to the part of the message which said to give them a few days. Perhaps they could learn, even though it seemed that they needed harsh lessons. Such as this one.

"I don't mean to rain on your parade here, but I answered the question given to me. Ronald wanted to know the contents of the vial his brother took, I told him it was poison. Charles did not ask any questions, so that one counted as the question I would answer. It is not my place to only answer the good questions I get, you decide what to ask."

He gestured to the remaining vials. "Mr Smith does not have all night you know."

(( Aw. I didn't get the chance to celebrate Halloween properly. My roommate and I rented "A-team" and ate the candy we bought for the kids. They avoid our house, for some reason. I was disguised as Batman, disguised as me. We all know Batman is a master at disguises, so why not? ))

Sander's eyes remained unfocused as Al tried to reach contact. His only reaction was a slight whimper. Suddenly, his usually grey eyes turned into a dark shade of purple, almost black, spreading from his pupil and covering the iris and almost the entire eye, before they turned back to normal. His breath hitched as he fell over, his hands letting go of his knees in order to keep every ounce of self-control focused on keeping the wolf at bay.

"Lucy, m'dear?" Jim called sweetly as he came up the stairs. "Unfortunately the prisoners aren't too willing to co-operate. We should, however, expect a visit from Mr. Potter and friends any time soon, if my theory is correct. Also, do you really need the werewolf for anything? Because that may prove to be difficult in the immediate future."

Al looked over to Drake. Why wasn't he helping? Well, Al thought, pausing in his efforts to help Sander, that guy did say something about a visit. And considering where we are, it won't be a friendly one. He must be sick with worry... Al was pulled from his thoughts by a small yet audible whimper from Sander.

Suddenly, [Sander's] usually grey eyes turned into a dark shade of purple, almost black, spreading from his pupil and covering the iris and almost the entire eye, before they turned back to normal. His breath hitched as he fell over, his hands letting go of his knees in order to keep every ounce of self-control focused on keeping the wolf at bay.

"Drake!" Al called, beckoning his friend over. "Sander's in trouble, I need your help!"

---

Lucius was standing in the entry hall, extremely bored, when he heard James returning.

The dark wizard sighed, slowly turning to face his cohort. The man could at least try to say his name correctly. "Yes, we need the werewolf. He could prove to be a valuable ally if we can break him. Not only is he on speaking terms with Potter, he knows Bartholomew Kreazil as well. He could be a good spy. As for any more visitors," he said, turning to look at the pouring rain outside, "I believe we can handle them"

((It is still raining, right? It makes for a much more dramatic atmosphere.))

"Drake!" Al called, beckoning his friend over. "Sander's in trouble, I need your help!"

"Shit!" Drake snarled, having seen the entire thing. Immediately jumping to his feet, his mind immediately began racing on what to do. Being without his equipment meant he couldn't brew anything up, and he didn't feel comfortable utilizing his Earth magic in order to keep things a surprise from their captors...and he wasn't going to open his own flame breath on his friend, unless he had absolutely no choice.

As it was, it didn't matter. The solid steel of the room appeared to be reinforced all around. However, perhaps--

A thought struck him. The entirety of the room was encased in metal. Metal, as he recalled his former mentor teaching him, nothing more than simply refined earth. Perhaps if he could rip off the sheets of metal--no. No, there was simply no time for that. Flashing Al a somewhat panicked expression, the alarmed gaze he gave his companion clearly said he didn't have any idea on what to do.

Drake closed his eyes for a second, then opened them again, staring at Sander.

~Maybe a solid application of force...~

"This didn't work on the doors," Drake softly stated, more to himself but still audible, "But perhaps...! Sander, forgive me!" Taking a few quick steps, Drake whirled around to swing his thick scaled dragon tail around to the side of Sander's head. The scale like armor would be impervious to the bite. Hopefully, Drake thought, a sharp quick strike to the side of his head would knock him out. If he were unconscious, then perhaps he would pose no immediate threat...

"Fine," Hermione spat, fingering the green potion, having set the red one down. For some reason, the odd color of the potion did little to ally her fears. Knowing that the clear potion was poison, the red color had reminded her of blood...and had thought that was a bad omen. Instead, she took the green one instead...but didn't down the entire thing, only drinking a small portion and keeping the rest in the bottle. "Where is Mr. Smith and how do we prevent his death, precisely?"

He turned around to go back into the dungeon. Taking the effect off of the werewolf would completely ruin the interrogational effect, but if they really needed the kid..

As Sander slipped into unconsciousness, a small crackle of energy appeared by Jim's fingertips. He almost jumped away from it, retracting his hand and staring at it.

"Oh. Right. No problems there, then," he said, happily. The effect on the werewolf had ended - either the poor child had fainted from the fear or the two others had knocked him out. Quite frankly he hoped for the latter option - it would make the situation a lot more hilarious.

"So, what are your orders, bossie?" he turned back to Lucius with a smile.

Hermione growled, her hand clutching her wand tightly. Kreazil had, unfortunately, caught on to her plan...and she seemed like she was rather angry enough to go ahead and attack him anyway. Snarling a bit, she jumped when Ron touched her skin.

"Hermione..." Ron stated. The young woman stared over at him, her eyes wide--partially because it seemed that it felt...it was odd to describe. It was as if she could feel him a bit better. Like her sense of touch had gone a bit more sensitive. As Ron shook his head, Hermione snorted a bit, tipping back the rest of the green potion to drink the rest of it down.

Al jumped a bit when he saw Drake's tail swing dangerously close to his own head and knock Sander out. He remained stationary for a few seconds, shocked by the events that had just taken place. Once he recovered, Al released a loud sigh of relief.

"Good decision," he said, standing up and turning around to look at his friend. "Sander will have one hell of a headache when he wakes up, but that's better than the alternative. Lets just hope his little panic attack will be over by then."

---

"So, what are your orders, bossie?" he turned back to Lucius with a smile.

"Well, currently we must wait for dear Natasha to return," Malfoy drawled, looking extremely bored. "We should also prepare for Potter's arrival. Would you like the pleasure of setting up some traps for our future guests? Miss Romanoff isn't here to receive them this time, and this kind of weather does horrible things to an old man's bones." Lucius smiled knowingly: he was sure James would accept. His subordinate was one of those slightly insane types that was good at setting up torturous obstacles and enjoyed it.

((Sorry for the wait, I've been REALLY busy with a research project. And sorry for the crappy conclusion, I couldn't think of a good finishing sentence.))

"Heh. I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks." Ryu smirked.

Evelynne furrowed her brows at Ryu, reading his mind, and smiled slightly in spite of herself. Instead of responding, however, she shut her eyes and felt her self immediately transform into a tiger. She stretched, arching her back and extending her claws once to get used to the feeling again. It wasn’t often that she took her animagus form, so she needed a second to adjust.

Ryu climbed onto her back and she momentarily felt awkward but brushed it off and glanced back towards the group, her eyes still the same bright emerald, and then took off into the darkness with Ryu on her back. Her heavy paws hit the earth with great strength; her strong and agile body propelled them forward at considerable speed through the thick wet forest.

"Heh. Looks like it's just us, then..." Ron bitterly sighed, a hand on Charlie's back. "...just like old times."

Harry watched the pair take off, but spared no time thinking about it and turned back to offer Ron a friendly smile. The smile was weak, however, and it was clear Harry’s heart had taken a toll that evening.

"I don't mean to rain on your parade here, but I answered the question given to me. Ronald wanted to know the contents of the vial his brother took, I told him it was poison. He gestured to the remaining vials. "Mr Smith does not have all night you know."

Harry sighed loudly, clenching his fists, and then muttered, “Fine.” Hermione echoed his words a moment later and selected the green vial, taking a long sip. He watched her hesitantly for any effects.

"Where is Mr. Smith and how do we prevent his death, precisely?"

Kreazil smiled. "Mr smith is in town, close to the hotel. and he needs two separate potions to be free from the afflictions I imposed upon him. I will give you the exact details when you drink the rest."

Hermione looked incredibly annoyed at this comment and jumped when Ron touched her. Her reactions seemed weird to Harry and he hoped the potion wasn’t going to do anything terrible to his best friend. He stood silently as she finished off the vial of potion, waiting for Kreazil to respond.

OOC: Sorry gang. Absolute crap but I wanted to post so you didn't think I died. :P I'll do natasha in the next one. by the way, I started my teaching practicum! Yaaaay! I'm teaching grades 9-12 band/jazz band, helping organize the musical (Beauty and the Beast), and teaching grades 10 and 11 english :D so much fun.

Kreazil watched as Hermione finished the potion. That girl would have an interesting few hours.

"Mr Smith is located in a house two doors down from the hotel, the front door is smashed in, you can't miss it." He took out two potions and handed them to Ron. "The blank potion will restore his internal organs to a state where they can sustain him, and the green one will remove the poison. You should wait a minute or so between them. I would give them to Miss Granger, but..."

He looked at Hermione. "... I think she will be busy handling the potion."

Would you like the pleasure of setting up some traps for our future guests? Miss Romanoff isn't here to receive them this time, and this kind of weather does horrible things to an old man's bones." Lucius smiled knowingly.

Jim's eyes lit up with the excitement of a child on christmas eve. He could make many traps that wouldn't affect someone travelling by portkey, thereby making sure that Natasha wouldn't be hurt on her return. Potter's little gang of misfits on the other hand.. Oh, the ideas were piling already. Lucius would perhaps not be to happy with all of them, but that was his loss.

"I'll get my tools," he sing-songed, moving up towards his room in the upper floors. Reaching his bedroom, he picked up a large, black, bag, before making his way up towards one of the higher levels. He needed to have a full view of the forest for some of these traps.

The first trap, or curse, or whatever one might want to call it, took the longest. At the lower levels of the ground, surrounding the castle itself, a wizard would be able to spot the large keys of a piano, all of them around the size of a human male. A certain song would have to be played in order to pass. A wrong key pressed in the wrong rhythm or at the wrong time could have.. deadly results. James was quite happy with this one, and almost hoped they wouldn't be able to pass it - to see them fail would be interesting enough in itself. However, this was only the second time he'd tried it, and the first time it was on such a large scale. It could very well be faulty. The song in itself was very easy, though. After all, Jim was a sucker for theatrics, and he wouldn't want it to be too hard.

Humming the melody to himself, he then set onto making the next traps, running down through the castle. He would need to actually be in the castle for these. His suit was already drenched, as the first trap had taken him an hour to make, so he didn't bother to bring his umbrella. Stepping out in to the forest, he decided not to break into song this time. He would have to focus.

(( OOC: I hope the description of the trap is understandable, otherwise feel free to PM me and I'll try to explain it better. Guh xD And congratulations to you, Kenzi! ))

*(Sorry for the late reply, everyone! Been busy with life over here myself!)*

"Right," Ron stated, grasping the potions, turning over to Harry. "I'll go ahead and get him then." With that, he turned over to Hermione. "Are you going to be alright?"

"I...think I will be." Hermione stated, looking rather...she seemed...something seemed off about her, but Ron wasn't able to precisely figure out what.

---

Ryu hadn't expected Eve's feline form to be so powerful and graceful. A small feeling passed through him, as he silently thought Drake was somewhat lucky, but he had to focus on the situation at hand. Gripping Eve's fur lightly, yet firmly to keep a good grip, Ryu laid down against her to keep as low a profile as possible as well as to keep them as aerodynamic.

---

Al jumped a bit when he saw Drake's tail swing dangerously close to his own head and knock Sander out. He remained stationary for a few seconds, shocked by the events that had just taken place. Once he recovered, Al released a loud sigh of relief.

"Good decision," he said, standing up and turning around to look at his friend. "Sander will have one hell of a headache when he wakes up, but that's better than the alternative. Lets just hope his little panic attack will be over by then."

"I hated to do that." Drake mused, his tail curling around his waist. "But it was either that or resort to my magic, and I'm trying to keep that as much of a trump card as possible." He sighed.

"I'm sorry for earlier, but as far as I can tell, they know you can cast magic, but I'm not sure if they know -I- can. If they don't," he turned to the half-elf, "Then possibly we can spring something on them. I just...I'm not sure what precisely they mean when they say I'm going to have a visitor. Did they capture Ryu, too, I wonder...?"

Harry nodded to Ron, "Alright, be careful and get back as quickly as you can." He said, glancing a distrusting look towards Kreazil.

He knelt beside Hermione and took a good look at her. There didn't seem to be anything physically wrong, but that didn't mean nothing was wrong. "Do you feel sick or anything, Hermione? Did you want me to get you anything?" He asked, looking at her hesitantly.

Evelynne raced through the forest, trying not to think about how weird it was to have Ryu pressed against her back. He was a tall wizard and was very fit, so Evelynne had thought he would weigh a fair amount and was surprised to find that he was considerably light. She tore her mind away from him and back to the task at hand. Her body was straining to keep the break neck pace that she had started off at, but she was slowing down a bit. Thankfully, in the horizon, she could the outline of a castle in night. The rain had stopped pouring, though it was still sprinkling enough to blur the outline of the castle.

She growled lowly in her throat and came to a stop, her muscles aching from the long hard run on the wet earth which was covered in tree roots and rocks that she constantly had to dodge. She felt her control on her animagus form dwindling from her lack of strength and only barely managed to make it under the cover of some thick tree branches before she was unable to stop herself from changing back into her human form.

She immediately collapsed under Ryu's weight, after changing back, and wound up face first in the mud. "Ugh, that's nice." She muttered, using the side of her shirt to wipe off the mud from her face. She turned over, slipping smoothly under Ryu's body due to the rain and mud, and looked up at him, "Sorry if the ride wasn't very smooth. It's hard to run through all this." She managed to say, forcing herself not to blush at the fact that she was pressed under neath him still. She always felt uncomfortable being close to guys, especially in comprimising positions such as this.

"Uh, so anyways, we should probably find a-- what on earth is that?" Evelynne's eyes had caught a glimmer of white through the trees. She narrowed her rich green eyes and squinted through the misting rain and was surprised to see that it was a huge piano keyboard. What on earth was going on?

------------

The heat of the afternoon warmed Natasha's cool skin immediately as she appeared just off a beach. There were a bunch of children playing on the beach and adults walking through the sand and chatting on picnic tables. She slipped the glass ball in the pocket of her belt, making sure not to drop it, and leaned against the rough palm tree behind her while observing the area.

Everyone was tanned and looked at home on the beach while Natasha, if anyone had seen her, would have stood out like a sore thumb with her ivory pale skin (Not to mention the guns hanging at her hips). Lucius hadn't been kind enough to offer her the name of the lizard's family members, so she'd have to do some asking around first. Well, if she wanted to do things descretely she would... but she didn't have the time or patience for that at the moment.

She walked out of the trees, smoothly snatching a long black sarong from the back of a beach ware booth on the board walk, and wrapped it around her waist to hide the guns for the time being. She'd take the time to ask one person, after that she'd just do it the quick and dirty way.

OOC: Sorry gang, been crazy busy. BTW, I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 last night. SO EFFING GOOD OMG. They did a fantastic job

*(Gah, one again, apologies for the late response.

I seen Deathly Hallows myself last Saturday. Not as much action as the other movies had, though it was great nevertheless...and I suppose Part II is going to more than make-up for the lack of action that Part I didn't have. Still, regardless, I will admit--for all his ten seconds of screen time and one line, Neville was badass.)*

Ron immediately began rushing off, making his way towards town as quickly as he possibly could, disappearing around the corner. ...A second later, the sound of squealing tires could be heard as Ron once again shanghaied a vehicle for an emergency purpose. Hermione's head snapped around just in time for the Jeep to roar away, causing her to groan...but, then again, lives were hanging in the balance.

Hermione shuddered, as the wind picked up and caused her to shudder.

"I'm f-f-fine, Harry. Just...something doesn't feeeel right." She seemed to be squirming lightly in her own clothes, the sensitivity of her touch amplified to such a degree that everything registered in a way that it shouldn't. "EVERYTHING doesn't feel right. I think something in that potion...warped my sense of touch or something..."

---

Ryu had also largely ignored the fact that he was essentially riding a large tiger that had once been a very beautiful young woman. To his credit, it didn't feel much different than riding his Thundercat, except for the fact said purring was coming from an actual cat. And that said cat was running on all fours as opposed to two legs, and didn't have any mechanical parts.

On further reflection, thought Ryu, he realized that he wasn't very good at similes.

She managed to say, forcing herself not to blush at the fact that she was pressed under neath him still. She always felt uncomfortable being close to guys, especially in compromising positions such as this.

Ryu blushed as well, having practically been thrown into the mud as well, not having expected that to happen. Immediately hopping to his feet. Wiping the mud out of his face and hair as best he could, he extended his clean hand down to her with a nod...checking them both for any injuries.

"It's alright. You got us here, and that's all that matters." Ryu stated. "I kinda wish I had my motorcycle, but I doubt it would've gotten us this far."

The young man squinted, his sharp blue eyes peering through the mist and the branches. Taking a step forward, he noticed--"It's a giant keyboard."

There was a pause.

"Bloody hell." Ryu sighed, crossing his arm. "Talk about your unusual defenses." While Ryu prided himself of being a master thief and being able to break into nearly anywhere, he had never seen this particular defense before. A giant piano keyboard. "Well, if I had to hazard a guess, I'd...suppose we might need to play a certain tune on it to get past. But, the problem is...what do we need to play??"

---

Indeed, as Natasha had observed, there were many people having fun as far as the eye could see...however she wasn't COMPLETELY alone. There were actually a number of tourists who were just as...well, not as tanned as the rest of the natives--although, admittedly, none of them were really seen at that particular moment. The Russian muggle wouldn't get very far when a woman DID spot her, coming up to her wearing a grass skirt, a lea, woven sandals, and nothing else. She was holding a bunch of additional leas in her arms, a multitude of colors, and her blue eyes were bright with happiness and a welcoming warmth.

"Nocsemo!" She greeted, a melodic tone in her voice as she suddenly tossed a lea around her neck, and just as immediately grasping her arms to plant her lips against the muggle's face in a greeting. "Welcome to the Dragon Islands. You are a tourist, yes? Welcome! It is always nice to see a new face to our shores. Please, have a wonderful time!"

The lady immediately let her go, gave her a smile, and promptly headed off to go assail another hapless tourist.

Meanwhile, Dimitri yawned a bit as he rest upon the shores. His friends had since headed off for other things, with the young boy having promised them he would join them momentarily, but had wanted to simply bask in the sun for a little bit. His eyes closed, he had no worries of anything, save for how his elder brother was doing--when he had suddenly dropped in to pick up his swords for a special mission he was supposed to be on...and wondering if his pet Paracaw was helping out as well.

He was on the beach, not too far from where Natasha was--about 30 meters, and completely oblivious to other people's presence on the beach.

*(I apologize if that seemed like a bit of god-moding there. I just found the temptation of Natasha getting jumped by a local welcoming native too amusing to resist.

Also, up until this post I had completely forgotten about Dimitri's pet bird that he sent to go help his brother. Of course, I realize that the birdie is still at the dragon reserve with Harry and Hermione, just...I can't believe I had forgotten about her until this point. >XD LOL!)*

"I hated to do that." Drake mused, his tail curling around his waist. "But it was either that or resort to my magic, and I'm trying to keep that as much of a trump card as possible." He sighed.

"It's alright, Drake, I'm sure Sander will understand," Al said, attempting to be comforting. "Good call on the magic, though."

"Seriously?" Al replied, raising an eyebrow at Drake. "Your cousin is a veritable ninja, and you're worried about whether they caught him? Don't worry, they can't get to any of your family. Other than Ryu, all of your relatives are on the other side of the world. They're completely safe!"

((Oh, the irony...))

"EVERYTHING doesn't feel right. I think something in that potion...warped my sense of touch or something..."

Kreazil picked up an empty vial. "One potion left. One more question. You up for that Mr. Potter? If not I will be taking my leave now."

He looked around a bit. "Many lives depend on me being where I am supposed to be when the full moon rises. And you know I won't hesitate to let them die, if you hinder me."

He pointed to the last potion. "Your choice."

A small tingle in the air told them that their guests had arrived. Soaked, but still smiling, Jim turned to peer at them from his position by the castle. He was done putting the traps up, and could finally return to the warm inside. He hoped they would get pass his first little gadget. Hell, he somewhat hoped they would make it all the way to the castle - that would be so much more interesting.

A blue light formed beside him at eye-level. A small pixie grinned at him, chewing happily at a small gift he had offered her in order for her to do him a favor. Jim gave her a small prod, nodding for her to be on her way. It was time. The small creature was on her wings in no time, making her way to one of the trees above the place where Ryu and Eve were located.

"My fair lady," the pixie surprisingly enough shouted out in a sing-song voice, "to press the wrong key would result in a lot of falling down!"

Back up by the castle, the insane wizard wondered if they would get the hint, or spend a lot of time trying to have the pixie reveal her secrets. In truth, a pixie was only able to communicate with other pixies. The message given was in his own voice, enchanted so that the creature could bring it on.

He walked inside, shaking the water out of his shoes. "They're here," he informed Lucius as he passed, going to get changed. "Just thought you ought to know."

Ryu snorted lightly, gazing around the keyboard, walking from one end to the other to determine how to bypass this. However, a voice spoke out, bringing him out of his reverie.

"My fair lady," the pixie surprisingly enough shouted out in a sing-song voice, "to press the wrong key would result in a lot of falling down!"

The Australian wizard snorted lightly, crossing his arms. "...Well, bloody hell. I suppose I was right to a certain extent." He bit his lip, gazing over at the keyboard again. "Great. And I'm no classical musician..."

Ron himself finally managed to get back to the town in one piece, stumbling towards the house that the captive wizard--Mr. Smith was it?--was said to have been held. A quick glance towards what once WAS a Jeep told him that he likely wouldn't be using it to get back to the reserve. It was overturned, the engine hood crushed in with the front bumper torn clean off, the entire left side caved in with the remains on fire.

He briefly wondered how he didn't wind up causing that the last time he was behind the wheel...then again, he had to remind himself he wasn't trying to save anybody's life in a panicked state that last two times. He made a mental note to take driving lessons as soon as he was able. Withdrawing his wand, Ron turned to the building to storm into the location, potions in hand.

"Mr. Smith!?" He called out. "Where are you! I'm here to help!!"

*(Don't think I'll post anything for Hermione or Drake right now...)*
