Kayden Granen's Story

Kayden let out an annoyed with as his little sister kept on pulling at his shaggy black hair. "You need to cut you hair." She teased, sticking her tongue out. Kayden snapped his head back to face her as the car stopped in front of the airport. "Careful sis, or I might just have to rip out your tongue and shove it up your-" "Kayden!" His mother exclaimed before he could finish. 

As he turned back around he caught a glimpse of his sister sticking her tongue back out. "Ugh, see you later." He exasperated. "By honey, have a good trip!" She said, grinning ear to ear. "I call shot gun." Mandy exclaimed and jumped up front. 

"Yeah, I'll miss you guys too." He murmured sarcaatically and grabbed his back pack from the trunk. Not owning a suitcase he walked into the airport. Sticking his middle finger at his sister as they drove off so his couldn't see. She returned the favor. Yep. Family love.

He set the bag into the carrier and walked through. It beeped as he forgot to take out his lip piercing. After the little check in he reput in his lip piercing.

He looked at his ticket and made his way to the other kids from his class. Taking a seat.

"So little sis any last words before you vanish into the Bermuda triangle never to be seen again?" asked Roy, ever since he had got his driving license he suddenly decided he had the right to start patronizing Lisa as if she was a 8th grader and this really ticked her off.

Lisa had prepared for this trip for the passed three days; apart from her traveling bag Lisa also had a new suitcase for the rest of her stuff. Lisa had taken the hard learned precaution of rapping anything water could damage tightly into water tight bags after a few open water bottles and being pushed into the river by her brother's type disasters. Lisa had said goodbye to mom and dad yesterday evening during dinner but only Roy could accompany her to the airport.

As Lisa walked into the airport Roy gave a slight punch to her shoulder, he might be a pain but he was still her brother and even with all the teasing Lisa still loved him. Among her brothers punching was the only method of really expressing an emotion, a light punch was done in affection, as teasing or even a warning; each had its own special meaning.

"Hay sis relax! Enjoy yourself ok? You are going to a tropical paradise and not to the grave ya know."

Lisa returned the punch, slightly stronger as she and her brothers had done since they were kids. "Well that’s not what you said a few moments ago Ro"

Roy laughed "ok then suit yourself, you are going to a tropical grave, happy now?"

"Oh yea I can hardly contain the tears in my eyes" remarked Lisa, Roy could never say goodbye outright but at least he knew how to cheer her up.

As they parted ways Roy could not help but get the last word "guess what bet we have on you this time!" he said while tossing towards her a large envelope. Lisa picked it up and put it in the traveling bag; she wasn't in the mood for her brothers' nonsense at the moment and there was plenty of time to have a look at it later.

Lisa didn't have too much of a hard time in the security check but looking for the meeting place did take longer then she had expected.

Eventually Lisa noticed Matt and then the rest of the group, it didn't make Lisa walk any faster but she did wave as she approached the group.

Lisa could not help but smile, she was exited and there was no point in hiding it. As she sat down on the bench Lisa said to no one in particular "ho there, what's up in groove town?"


No one had the time to answer before some one rushed ahead from no were and shouted "check point"

Lisa turned to look at the source of the voice, if she wasn't so quick on her nerves she would have gasped at this "surprise attack" but even so she could not conceal her irritation.

It was Connor, not surprisingly and all Lisa could do was close her eyes in embracement when dozens of other passengers gazed at their group.

Connor was really and artist if you considered ticking Lisa off an art as some did, not only had he forgotten his luggage he also had the cheek to make suave passes at Lisa and the other girls.

Lisa could not contain herself she got up from the bench and punched Connor lightly… well possibly harder then she had intended but he deserved it.

Lisa wasn't about to waste her time sitting and waiting for the next half an hour or so before the boarding of the plane. Lisa sighed and said to Connor with more then a hint of agrivation in her voice:

"Ok Connor I will help you get your damn stuff if you really need the help, I am guessing a few of us are lost out there so we might as well keep an eye out for them."

((sorry if the first time I screwed up I was in a hurry and didn't rlly read.) arriving at the airport, Justin hugged his sister tight. And passed her to his aunt. "Promise me you won't be bad. "he said. She gazed up at him with her sweet eyes. "I promise"she gave him a slight smile. For a 14 year old she was more mature than he ever was. He shook his head. "You don't -"she cut justin off "Shut up I know what you mean. Don't become a stuborm bastard like you. "he looked at her. "Kidding! "she said. Jane flipped her hair and poked our aunt. "what sweetie. ". "Justin is Sooooo annoying. "she giggled a bit"I can't wit for you to leave, then i will get your room. ". "hey! "justin shouted playfully. "I'm not dead. "Jane poked him in the ribs. Justin rolled his eyes. "And your calling me annoying. ". Justin watched as some of the people he knew from school enter the airport. He hasn't really talked to them since his mother passed. He sees Kayden And chrissa enter. as it stands he knows Chrissa quite well and likes her a little bit. He knows kayden and he is more of an a mutual friend. Jane takes the phone out of Justin pocket and goes through it. "OH MY GOD! justin! ". He looked over her shoulder and see that Jane is looking at a picture of Chrissa from a week before when they were hanging out at lockers. His face got beat red. "Tell anybody and i will kill you. Understand? "he rips the phone out of her hand and shoves it in his pocket. "My god. You have a crush. Don't worry I won't tell. "she smiles and looked over at Chrissa. Justin hid his smile. But waited for their plane to get called so he could board.Justin hugged hs sister and his aunt and walked away to the area where everybody was supposed to meet. And sat down at a seat near Chrissa. "Hey "he said softly.

Kayden was sitting right next to the wing when it exploded. He felt shards of glass and metal hit his face. Kayden tried to stand up after the wing exploded,but ended up falling over. As he struggled to get up, he felt a slow numbing in the left side of his face. He felt his face with his hand but they're was no feeling in it. Then he realized something disturbing. Kayden couldn't see out of his left eye. This fact didn't have much time to sink in though because as he thought it the plane hit the water.

He was jolted forward into the seats in front of him. As he made contact with the seats he heard a sickening crack. Damn, there goes my arm. thought Kayden as he screamed out in pain. The plane started to fill with water and Kayden had no idea what to do. He went to grab his overhead luggage. As he reached up but the weight of the luggage was to much for his injured body. He collapsed. He now knew that his condition his life is the only thing he had to save. He began to crawl one of the exits. Each move was more painfull than the last.

The water was now up to his nose. He knew he had to stand up. He grinded his teeth and took a deep breath. He focused all his energy into his legs. With one huge cry of anguish he stood up. Kayden started to walk very wobbly. He heard Lisa cry for help on the other side of the airplane. He knew that in his condition he would be no help them and continued forward. Then there in was, the water. Kaden had never seen something so beautiful in his life. He knew that if he jumped in all of the stress on his legs would disappear. He turned his back to the water and fell in backwards.

Unfortunately for Kaden two things were wrong with this plan. 1) The water was salt water so his open wounds on his face burned like acid and 2) the exact spot where he fell back onto had been covered in debris. Now floating in the water Kaden was in unimaginable pain. His back had been punctured by the debris in the water and was being burned by the salt water. "MOTHER OF GOD, THIS BLOWS!" screamed Kayden after making contact with the water. He began to float on his back trying to ignore the immense pain.
