{Personality}
|| Stubborn || Brave || Intellgient || Blunt || Loner ||

Hani is stubborn and to be fair you have to be in order to survive 5 siblings in one house. She is known for never backing down without a fight even if she knows she is in the wrong. Her stubborn nature comes from her mother, who is equally if not more stubborn than everyone put together. Being easily swayed isn't a good thing and having the determination to not change her attitude is a pretty good thing in some cases. Even so, Haniisn't impossible to change and despite her stubbornness can show change if there is a good enough reason to do so. They say bravery is a good trait to have and alongside courage, Hani has grown up learning to be brave. She didn't become brave immediately, on the contrary, she was always a scared little girl running to her siblings when there was any sign of danger. However, learning how to endure pain and stand up to her fears was something she learnt with the help of her family.

Hani has always been a bright child and raised by her family as the 'genius' of the household. As her brains is something she highly depends on, it is no wonder she is intelligent and seeks out new knowledge to remain so. Her hardworking efforts ensure that she'll always be at the top or at least where she wants to be. Her love of learning makes her want to do more and her teachers would see her much like a sponge being able to absorb information well. From learning languages to writing dissertations Hani finds new knowledge enriching and necessary. Furthermore, as someone who has never quite felt like she fitted in with her fellow peers in the social sense, she puts a lot of emphasis on her intelligence as her determining characteristic and tries to push away her social flaws by emphasis her brains.

However, Hani can be quite straightforward and blunt at times without a filter in her brain stopping her from thinking about her what she wants to say. A part of her believes she's like this because she knows how people view her as this nerd or even a weirdo at times since she much rather remains alone. As a way of attacking these people back and defending herself, she remains sharp-tongued and tries to be unbothered by those around her.

{Place of origin}
Busan, South Korea

{History}
Hani was born on the 24th of December in Busan, surprising her family. It was during Christmas Eve where all her relatives were had come over to the Park's family home for dinner when her mother Hayoon felt sharp contractions and in the middle of the dessert, her water broke. Although a little bit rushed and not expecting the birth for another month. However, she came into the world smoothly and greeted by her older sister Hana who was 5 at the time and grew up in a busy household with a language teacher for a mother and an engineer father. The family stayed in Busan for a few years before Dongwoo, her father got a promotion in New York which caused the whole family to uproot and move much to Hani's dismay.

Hani was only 12 when she had to move and had already grown attached to the South Korean life. She had just become comfortable in her all girl’s secondary school and fought stubbornly with her father to remain in the country. Of course, that didn’t work, even when threatening to run away and the Park family moved to New York. The huge culture shock of coming to America really changed Hani from being a friendly and outgoing girl to becoming more withdrawn and cynical.

The only way Hani could adjust was to get distracted in her education, picking up extra curriculum activities to remain first in her class and even skipping a year because she made so much progress. In fact, having a teacher as a mother pressured her more to stick to her 4.0 GPA so she became obsessed with keeping her title as the number one student. She learned languages, mostly because her mother had signed her up for several classes and so became fluent in French, Spanish, and German. She kept her head mostly down during her school years as she stuck out like a sore thumb as being one of the few minorities within the whole school body. People either viewed her as an Asian stereotype of being no fun and naturally intelligent or found her weird when she would roll her eyes at her classmates and pretended not to care about anything.

During high school, she remained on the top in her academics, aiming to become Valedictorian which she did end up getting. Regardless of her high status with her teachers and shining recommendations that lead her to Columbia her social life was more than lacking. The only people she talked with that were her age were her lab partners and those who were paired up with her during classes. Funnily enough, the only time she was ever popular was during these projects because her fellow peers found that they could end up with a good grade with little hard work.

When her sister Hana passed away Hani was 18. It was probably the worst time since her relationship with her parents was already strained and graduating high school only made the strain worse as she planned to leave home and keep it that way. The guilt that Hani experienced was immense because she knew she was expected to replace Hana and remain the perfect intelligent daughter but she started questioning whether she was even truly happy the way she was. During college, she started living more and even started dating. Her boyfriend for almost her entire college years yet again built up that faΓ§ade of the perfect girl since Eric was the perfect law student with straight A’s and a bright future. They became a power couple on campus and yet another reason to suffocate Hani's life. Her decision to break up with him caused trouble amongst her peers and questions which ended up leading to false rumours of her cheating on him and Eric agreeing with the rumours made it worse.

Her final year of college was a lonely one and even when she graduated with the highest honors she ended up skipping graduation and taking a trip to Europe to run away. The job at iPear was given to her while she was in France by one of the executives who was a Columbia alumnus and recognized her. Hani wasn’t really going to accept but ended up taking the job offer last minute as a part of the legal department.

So begins...
