Introduction
"Orders are to terminate ex-agent Azure on site. Subject is considered to be of medium threat, as he is of the first generation of M-Types. His ability is Blade Summoner, so resort to long range combat if possible. He is not to be taken alive. Terminate and retrieve the body."
With that, the members of LIMIT have a choice. Continue to work with LIMIT and destroy the rouge agent, or join Azure's rebellion. A new war is starting, fought with the power of Magitechnology.
This RP is set in the distant future, in the last remaining city on Earth. Characters are allowed to have up to two abilities, such as controlling an element, controlling technology, ect. Be creative, with both powers and codename. If you haven't guessed, codenames must be colors, the color of your magic to be exact.. With that, here is a skeleton:

It seemed, however, that a confrontation was brewing. Narrowing her eyes, Citrine leveled a liquid amber stare at Onyx. You forget that Azure is the most experienced agent alive, she replied, attempting to hold off a possible fight with reason. It is highly doubtful that any of us could take him on alone, especially not at the rate we have been operating for the past few weeks. Unless, perhaps, you have managed to do so?
Her point made, she turned to Vermillion, having observed his abrasive response (including the rather unflattering thought) and sighed internally. This is neither the time nor the place. I understand that losing Sable is difficult, believe me, I do. But that is the very reason we must abandon our internal squabbles and find her. Apparently, he understood this well enough, for he was soon off to do his investigations.
Following suit, Citrine hailed a cab, typing a message into her phone and showing it to the driver. Invading a civilian's head-space would likely not go over well. She arrived outside City Hall, the second-largest building in the Neo Elysium after LIMIT HQ, and slipped out after paying the driver for his trouble. Flashing her LIMIT ID was the only necessary action to gain her admission, and it was here that she would find the archives of residency of the city. The woman doubted very much that Azure would have bothered to register with the bureaucracy, but anything was worth a try.
What seemed like only a few minutes later but in truth amounted to an afternoon of painstaking records-searching later, Citrine's phone buzzed in her pocket, and she started sharply before withdrawing it. Reading the text message from Vermillion, she half-smiled and shook her head. Dinner did sound nice right about now; she hadn't eaten since her small breakfast that morning. She had a feeling nobody had informed Onyx of what was going on, so she sent him a message. Not much here, gone to meet V. Will update if we find anything. Good luck.
About half an hour later, she pulled up in front of the building her fellow agent had named, and stepped inside. Immediately, she felt the proximity of Sable, and her eyes widened at her extreme stroke of luck. Vermillion, seemingly oblivious of what he was doing, was apparently talking to Crimson. Deciding for the moment to play this as cool as possible, she opened a single psychic connection, allowing Vermillion only to hear her projected thought. Do not react to what I am about to tell you, she warned, making her own way casually over to an unoccupied table, looking for all the world as though she too was unaware that Crimson and the nearby Silver were traitors. The woman you speak to and the man with gray hair at that table are both with Azure now. Sable is upstairs, with someone I do not recognize, but doubtless has an engine of some kind as well. Be careful.

Standing there, frozen at the prospect of interacting with the formidible m-type, Ivory wondered what the heck she should do now. If I follow him, I'll be involved, but if I ignore him, I might miss out on something important... Why was all of this stuff happening now?

"Well have Vermilion tell it he's the toughest mofo LIMIT's ever seen. I thought he'd be able to take down Azure (and every agent with a similar shade) with one hand behind his back."
Vermilion brought things back to business, suggesting how Citrine and Onyx should go about searching. Not long after that the three of them split ways. Onyx didn't like the idea of following an order from him but if it led to him being the one to capture Azure so be it.
He made his way towards the elevator to get to the ground floor. When the doors finally opened his father stepped out. Onyx sighed in frustration at the sight of the man.
"Rael," He said inspecting his son, paying particular notice to the wings. "How many times have I told you not to misuse your engine? I didn't get you in LIMIT so you could--"
"You put this damn thing in me, I'm just doing the best I can with it okay?"
Onyx tried to continue past him but the man put a firm hand on his shoulder. "Whens the last time you slept? You need to get some rest. We'll talk in the morning."
"I'll rest when I have Azure. I don't see what you're complaining about. Isn't that what you wanted? To be the father of the best agent in LIMIT? Well this is my chance, I'm not going to blow it."
"You're still getting used to your engine. You're going to kill yourself. Go to your quarters and go to sleep... Agent Onyx thats an order."
Onyx hesitated for a moment and then turned and walked back to his room. He entered and closed the door behind him locking it manually. He'd follow the order, sure, but he'd do it on his own terms. He opened his window and dove out, gliding over the city. He found a nice short building to rest on a ways away from HQ. He settled on the roof and got comfy.
Sleeping actually had some unique advantages for gaining intelligence. His drones spread out a little further when he was experiencing the ultimate relaxation of unconsciousness. Also his mind could better handle loads of data while at rest. The bad thing was information usually came in the form of confusing dreams and he had to determine himself what meaning they had if any.
He stuffed one last handful of chips into his mouth and then laid there on the hard cold roof. The sun was coming up spilling sunlight over him but it didn't take long for him to fall asleep.
The short building he was atop was ideal place to listen. It was elevated so his drones had a better view point, but it wasn't so high that he'd lose the detail of what was going on on the streets beneath. He intended to sleep only 30 minutes or so to fulfill the order and then search manually but once he was unconscious the hours quickly started to slip by.

"Dammit! If she's her, then she knows about everyone. I must get Sable out of here." Quickly moving downstairs he opened the door to the lady's room. "Aresenic, you need to get Sable out of here. Find someplace safe, and I will contact you later. Now go!" Azure ordered. He knew that time was short, and for them to escape, he would have to remain as a distraction. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a small device, placing it under a table, then activating it. This device was sort of a mental EMP, one that would cripple Citrine's detection ability, and allow for the others to escape. Then, pulling out his phone, he sent a message to Silver and Crimson.
You two must escape. I will remain to by you time. Follow Arsenic and make sure to keep Sable safe. She has little to no combat prowess, and no harm must come to her. Go, while I distract them.
After the massage was sent he casually walked downstairs. Walking silently past Vermillion, without him noticing. Then without stopping, he softly spoke to him. "If you are looking for conflict, come outside. I know this is what you want." Stepping twords the door he noticed Citrine looking at him. He gave a small smile then whispered. "Outside please. There is no need to cause damage to this place." Walking casually past he he stepped into the street turning tword the entrance of the pub. Holding his hand out a katana formed in it. He would need agile weapons to face these two. However, even Azure knew he stood little chance. Still, he would hold them off for as long as needed. Suddenly he chest pulsed again, and Azure gripped it, coughing.
"Not now. This cannot be happening now!" After a moment he regained his composure, ready for the attack.

Instinctively, a faint red aura flared up from Vermillion's skin. "Azure."
-----------------------------------
Arsenic had been contemplating how exactly to psychologically browbeat her new toy when Azure burst into the room. She activated her engine and grayish steam hissed from her body upon seeing the alarm on Azure's face. His warning came in a blur of words that were only just barely comprehensible, but Arsenic nodded all the same. "Ah! Bl-I mean Azure! Hold my hat!"
Quickly tossing the snow-cap to her leader, Arsenic shifted from human to liquid form. Her clothing dissolved in moments within the grasyish blue mixture--hence why she wanted her hat spared from a grisly death. Adopting the faintest impression of human form, Arsenic walked through the wall of the building. Literally. Her acidic body burned a woman-shaped hole in the wall, leading outside. Similarly scorched footprints marred the carpeting. Leaning back into the room, Arsenic reverted back to her human form. She hadn't been shifted long enough to require sustenance, but was plagued with needle-like pain all over her body. She ignored the pinpricks and, now standing naked in front of the dusky backdrop, the striking woman grasped Sable by the hand and leapt from the building dragging her along for the ride. They hit the ground, Arsenic tucking the younger magitech user into her roll and popped up running. The brisk evening air sent chills across her skin.
"Say anything about my birthmark and I burn your eyes out twerp." without another word she lead Sable on to yet another hideout. As an afterthought, Arsenic remembered leaving her phone in her pocket...and cursed. It was nothing more than goo now.
----------------------------------
"If you are looking for conflict, come outside. I know this is what you want."
Vermillion just barely kept his cool, turning on his heel to follow Azure out the door. He stopped just outside the building though, allowing Azure to gain some distance. Without looking back he said; "You already confirmed your orders, commander. You should get moving."
Vermillion looked upon his opponent with a mixture of hatred and pity. Azure was clutching his chest in pain...and Vermillion decided that wasn't going to stop him from beating the man to a bloody pulp. He dropped the coat to the ground and dropped into a wide stance. The chill air did nothing to his unfeeling, unprotected torso. The aura around him grew into an intense blaze as level four boost was activated and several gashes split open upon his chest and ribs. He didn't even flinch. Covering the gap between them in less than three seconds Vermillion raised his booted heel to bash Azure's jaw from below. The attack, amplified by superhuman speed and strength, would send the man flying into whatever was behind him, if not break his jaw outright. Die.

At this point, several things happened at once. A painful noise began to build in her head, causing a splitting ache to blossom behind her temples, and momentarily severing every mental contact she had in the place, even the one with Sable. The woman's eyes flew wide, and she fought hard to reconnect, trying to push past whatever was interfering with her engine. Sable! the shout was loud in her own mind, though if it reached the girl at all, it would likely be the faintest of whispers. Panicking at her enforced silence, Citrine focused all she had into remaking the tenuous link between herself and the dark young woman upstairs, to the detriment of being able to communicate with anyone.
She could not 'talk' to Sable, but she could still track her, and that would have to be enough. Citrine's eyes snapped to Azure as he appeared and made his proclamation. Vermillion seemed about to comply, and his present partner lamented her enforced voicelessness. He's baiting you. Of course you know that, so why the Hell won't you forget about your damn grudge and remember the real objective here?! Spectrum's daughter realized that her hands were beginning to smoke, and made a flash decision.
Glaring pointedly at both Azure and Vermillion, she bolted out the door ahead of them, in hot pursuit of what she could feel as Sable's dimming presence, fading from her mind as the girl and whomever she was with got further away. Dammit! Not again! I won't lose you Sable. Just hold on a bit longer. Years of physical conditioning made her well-suited to spending inordinate amounts of time at a breakneck sprint, and she was counting on that to help her out here.
Rounding a corner, she could see the two just ahead, and Citrine summoned a flame to one hand, swearing mentally when she realized she could not let it loose without risking hitting Sable, and that was not a risk she was about to take. Healing properties or not, the girl could still feel pain, and it was the furthest possible thing from the blond woman's mind to even think about it. Her father spoke sometimes of acceptable collateral damage, and she had to admit it was an area in which the two of them had never been able to come to an accord.
There was no such thing as acceptable collateral damage.

Her answer came, after a fashion, in a tiny exhaled word that the back of her mind. Sable. That contact, it couldn't be anyone else.
"Citrine," the girl murmured softly, and was immediately torn between the desire to run back to her friend and the one to stay outside, just a little longer. It seemed the choice was being made for her, though, and a starkly-unclothed Arsenic was tugging her along so hard that Sable was quite glad her shoulder would put itself back in place should it end up wrenched.
The sounds of a fight reached her ears from not too far away, and again she wished to stop and find out what was going on. It wasn't right, that she should be the cause of this, even in part. Maybe, just maybe, though... if it was discovered that she was too far away to recover, Citrine and whomever she was with (Sable guessed Vermillion, but could not be sure) would leave, and not get hurt.
It was the best plan she had at any rate, and so she ceased her futile efforts to resist Arsenic's grip and ran along beside her, heedless of the numerous small cuts her feet were picking up from the rough concrete beneath them. Please, please... do not get hurt for my sake.
Glancing behind her, Sable caught sight of a head of bright blond hair that could only belong to one person. Citrine was wearing a harder expression than the younger woman was accustomed to seeing from her, and for a moment, she faltered in her pace, snapping back to reality only due to the relentless tugging from her present captor. A flame appeared in one of her friend's hands, and Sable wondered for a moment if she would fire it. To do so would make sense; Sable herself would recover easily enough, and Arsenic probably would not. Yet Citrine did not fire, though she was getting closer.

Ruling out possibilities Cyan deduced that it was probably vermillion with her and in such a place more then likely more agents were to meeting up. "This is the perfect opportunity, I don't even need a distraction. If Citrine is inside a pub more than likely any agents with a chance against me will either be with her or handling important tasks," he thought. walking into a near alley Cyan fired up his engine and headed strait for LIMIT HQ.

Spotting at least one competent individual in the milieu, he strode over at a brisk pace. "Lieutenant, report." The man, presently yelling at a rookie soldier who was apparently destroying part of something marked off with yellow crime tape, snapped to attention at the sound of Spectrum's signature clipped baritone, and fell into a salute before continuing.
"Mr. Spectrum, sir," he replied, before dropping the hand from his forehead. "We've activated emergency protocol. The entire building is on lockdown. Any unregistered personnel will be shot on sight, and we've pulled the reserves from third shift to assist in the protection of all remaining LIMIT buildings.
"Remaining buildings?" The leader's voice dropped to a low volume, dripping venom in a smooth monotone, and the soldier swallowed audibly.
"Er... yes, sir. As part of what we believe was a diversionary force, the rebels managed to destroy one of the satellite towers as well as the warehouse that was reported earlier. We believe that ex-agent Silver was responsible, sir." The man's eyes wandered nervously about the area, unable as he was to hold his bespectacled commander's harsh gaze. He really, really wished he was reporting all this to Citrine instead, as most of the day-to-day operations were done when she was around. It was a lot easier to keep contact with her warm eyes than his unspeakably cold ones. Although... there was something to be said for the fact that Spectrum couldn't read his thoughts. Something to be said indeed.
"I see... get this cleaned up and sent to the lab. I doubt they will find much of use. Also, place restrictions on the acquisition of the Life Engine's blood. I want none of that leaving storage unless I personally tell them it can. Understood?"
"Y-yes sir!" the Lieutenant saluted again, then hastily went to convey the orders to the lab rats, glad of any excuse to be away from his boss. Spectrum, for his part, turned to Niles. "Contact Onyx. Pull him off whatever it is he's doing and bring him here. I want at least one of the MagiTech agents besides myself in this building at all times." With that, he strode past the clumsy guards and took the elevator to his top-floor office, setting his briefcase down on his desk before moving to a large computer console, the interface of which had been designed by his brother, Saffron.
The machine whirred to life at a verbal command, and Spectrum immediately directed it to track his daughter. Chances were, if someone had located the Life Engine, it would be her.
Niles, meanwhile, had sent the following message to Onyx. Agent Onyx, Mr. Spectrum requests your presence back at HQ. Please come immediately. Though it was phrased as a polite request, it was explicitly an order, and the agent would have to know that. Any LIMIT member who expected to have their engine the next day never disobeyed a direct order from Spectrum, no matter how rebellious they might be otherwise.

"I have to admit...that hurt." He said. As he held his hands out, azure blue energy pulsed, and two katanas formed. Not missing a beat he rushed forward, slashing like a blur. Unfortunately, even he could not match the speed granted to Vermillion by his boost ability. Azure jumped back to avoid any counter attack. "You are fast, faster than I expected anyways...However it will take more than speed to stop me." Azure gave a grim look to Vermillion.
"How long must you get in my way? What you do has nothing to do with me. Is it your loyalty to that man, to Spectrum?" Azure clenched his hands, and the two swords evaporated into dust. Then, six large claymores formed around him, all swirling. "I will ask you but once. Leave me be, and leave LIMIT. You have no idea what is going on..." Azure paused for a moment, then sighed. "No, I can see you have no intention of listening to me. Well then, take this!" All six blades rushed twords Vermillion, but none hit him. Instead, they hit around the ground at his feet. With a wave of his hand, the blades exploded into a burst of azure energy. All he could see was smoke, and yet he knew this would not be enough to stop him.
"Come!" Azure challenged, another sword forming in his hand.

"How long must you get in my way? What you do has nothing to do with me. Is it your loyalty to that man, to Spectrum?" Despite his seemingly proclivity for a peaceful end to the battle, more blades were summoned.
"My loyalty is to the people."
"I will ask you but once. Leave me be, and leave LIMIT. You have no idea what is going on..." There was a short period of silence, in which Vermillion chose not to dignify him with a response. "No, I can see you have no intention of listening to me. Well then, take this!"
Blazing blue armaments parted the air, seeking out Vermillion's position. He coolly regarded the swords as if they were nothing more than flies. In truth, with the power to increase one's skin density to a level comparable to diamond, they might as well have been. Ready to dodge, the agent was put off by the sudden change in course of Azure's projectiles. Not realizing the danger of the earthbound weapons until it was too late, Vermillion only barely managed to toss one of the blood vials high into the air before the blades released a large pulse of energy. Concrete split and massive damage was wrought in the concentrated area. If Vermillion's nerves hadn't been destroyed ten times over, he might've grimaced at the pain. Yet, both combatants now stood obscured in the gritty cloud of dust. The force of Azure's blast had crushed the second vial of Sable's blood and the life-engine's power washed away what damage had been inflicted.
An palpable force could be felt, an increase in pressure that blew away the haze on the battlefield. When Azure looked upon his opponent, he would find....nothing.
"Boo." Vermillion reappeared seemingly out of thin air just within Azure's guard. His face was a mask out of a nightmare, his skin having been burned away to reveal bone and bleeding muscle, leaving only a horrifying skull glaring at Azure with baleful eyes. Of course, he wouldn't have more than half a second to process what he was seeing before Vermillion's fist hammered into Azure's face with the force of a wrecking ball.
Vermillionsimply stood there, watching his foe go flying once more. It would be a miracle if he didn't die of the sheer amount of force, much less get up again. The agent placed a hand in his poket, the other hanging at his side. He looked much like a demon now, nothing but raw, bloody muscle and bone showing on a skinless body, all of which was silhouetted within the flaming glare of his red aura. His teeth and jaw stood out in stark contrast to the dripping crimson of his facial muscles, bone white against a red backdrop in a macabre parody of a smile.
Behold, level 7... He would have said something witty, but Vermillion's vocal cords were torn to shreds. Instead, he settled for catching the first vial of blood in a flashy fashion.
-------------------------------------
Shit, shit, shit! Arsenic picked up the pace despite the cuts forming on her bare feet. "C'mon you brat!" she hurredly pulled Sable forward, risking a glance back atthe pursuing Citrine. Where the hell is everyone?
Swiftly they rounded a corner--drawing a startled cry from a pair of drunks as well as some cat calls at Mika's state of nudeness--and continued down the alley until reaching another corner. Here, she unlatched a rusted door and shoved Sable into yet another rebel hideout. "Stay." her voice was cold and even, with not even the slightest attempt at hiding the threat.
Spinning on her heel, Arsenic feel into a crouch and prepared herself for Citrine. Acrid steam began to rise from her pale skin.

Azure... he's being thrown again... He might die! Instictively, an ivory wind blew in from nowhere. It swept behind Azure, spreading itself out in a net-like fashion.

"You...are strong....Of that I have no doubt...However...I cannot let you past..." Azure again coughed up blood. He then noticed as Vermillion was lifted up in the air by Silver. He knew this would not last long. Then, something caught his attention, a girl standing nearby. "Her...its...the one...they've been watching. No..she must...leave...before she is hurt!" Azure continued to cough. He held his chest as his engine went haywire. "N-no...Not now!" He cursed his Engine. If he couldn't fight, then there would be nothing stopping them from killing his friends and taking possession of Sable and Ivory, making them pawns to be used. No, he would not allow that to happen.
"Vermillion! Even if you grind my bones to dust, rip off my limbs, gouge out my eyes! I will never stop! I will not die until Spectrum and his cursed organization burn to the ground! Until that day come...There is no one...No one! Who can stop me!" With those words azure flames swirled around him, yet, he was not burned. The pain in his chest had stopped, as if it was finally functioning properly. "So...this is it. My Engine's true potential..." Azure muttered as solid objects formed on his body. Across his arms dark blue gauntlets, and shin plates formed on his legs. On the upper half of his chest a small blue chest plate formed, and across his brow a horned circlet. A large nodachi formed in his hand, which Azure used to cut the flames, showing his new form. "Kusanagi, activate." He said calmly as he disappeared. He reappeared behind Vermillion, slashing upwards, this time hitting his mark. After the hit he disappeared and reappeared many times, slashing each time. Finally he reappeared once more, stabbing Vermillion through the chest. However, as he pulled the sword out he smashed a glass vial of Sable's blood into the wound, as so he would survive.
"You have fought hard, Vermillion, but not even your strength can stand up to the Spacial Control Engine, the power of Kusanagi. With this power I can control the other 70 percent of my Engine, be it for a short time, and allow me to control space and time. This...is the power that can kill even a god if need be. With this...Spectrum will fall." He turned to Silver reverting back to normal. "We must hurry to the others. Citrine is after them, and they will need help." Azure said. He then looked to Ivory. "You are coming with me. It is the only way I can protect you. I know it was you who saved me, and LIMIT will punish you for that. So please." He grabbed her arm, gently rushing her along so that they can pursue Citrine.

But these things were trivial, pale in importance to her true objective: the retrieval of Sable. Outside the area-of-effect of Azure's... whatever he did to disrupt her abilities, Citrine was once again at full functioning capacity, and so it was no difficult thing for her to locate her bond-sister's presence. Sable, she thought gently, not wanting to frighten what might already be a fearful young woman, depending on how things had progressed thus far. Do not worry. I am coming for you.
With that short message, she turned honey-colored eyes to the rebel who dared to stand between her and her friend, their captive, of all things. I know not who you are, nor what your purpose is in doing this, but I ask that you leave now and peaceably. If you do, I will not pursue you, but Sable comes home with me. Citrine was never one to make her threats or displays of power overt, but there was still something about the sensation of having your mind contacted by another that tended to unnerve those that were not used to it, and she could make it a good deal less comfortable if she chose.
Regardless of the woman's answer, Citrine activated her engine, making all thoughts, no matter how private, within a seventy-five foot radius as easy to know as if they had been dictated aloud to her. Lighting a fire in the other hand to supplement the one already in her left, she stood in a loose, ready stance, equally suited to all directions of movement. Her ability did not make her stronger or faster than others, but when applied correctly, it hardly mattered. What good would any of that do when your every move was telegraphed as you devised it?
Of course, she was not without disadvantages, and one of these was that her powers were difficult to control simultaneously. It was not always a simple thing to deal with an incoming flux of emotion and thought while maintaining an even-enough keel that the fire didn't risk getting out of hand, but she thought that for the moment at least, it was doable.

Vermillion realized, with a mental groan, that Azure was talking. Again. Spouting more self-righteous egomaniacal rubbish that supposedly justified his actions-- What the fuck!? It was about that time that he realized that he was several feet off of the ground. He thrashed and flailed wildly in a vain attempt to resist the enemy magitech. It was useless, however. Silver had guessed right in his assumption that force against force would fail against Vermillion. Had the boy tried to apply pressure instead of reduce it, he'd have been on the floor in a bloody mess already. Put me down you limp-dick son of a bitch-
An otherworldy wail rose up from Vermillion as some unseen force sliced into his back. Before he could twist around to find out what had hit him a blue of cerulean radiance flashed past his vision leaving yet another score across his exposed muscle. Again and again the blur razed his flesh, somehow the pain being felt fully by his non-existant nerves, each flash of blindingly horrid, acutely felt agony keeping him on the verge of conciousness. It wasn't until Azure stopped, pulling his vurved blade from Vermillion's chest did he realize what had happened.
The next thing he knew, Vermillion was on the ground, his skin and tissues reknitting until he was--for the most part--whole again. The blood had stopped it's magic though, leaving several scorched patches of flesh and slice wounds. He was thankful however that his hair and skin were back to normal. Again though, his thoughts were interrupted by Azure's ranting. When Vermillion finally worked up the strength to speak Azure was already running off. "You...just explained your powers...like some cartoon hero..." he coughed up a small amount of blood. "This isn't a game you fruit..."
Not having enough energy to continue, Vermillion closed his eyes and rested on the cool concrete. Citrine...dunno if you can here me...but Azure's coming. Bastard...I don't know, he...he evolved or some shit. That or he was hiding his true power all along... he was rapidly losing his grip on conciousness. And don't get hit...did you know getting hit hurt? It's been so long since I felt something so...painful...
At that, Vermillion was out. Somewhere in his mind, he realized he was getting sick of blacking out.
------------------------------------
Arsenic's eyes widened as the enemy M-Type's voice intruded in her mind, then narrowed in understanding. You're that bitch Azure warned us about. The mind-fucker. I'm guessing you know by now what my power is, and how little you can affect me with heat.
My name is Mika, although they tell me my real name is Helia Smith.
Her body liquified, burst into a caustic cloud of vapor the scorched the alley walls with deep chemical burns and reformed into a humanoid figure of grayish liquid. Just to prove a point. Vaporization ain't gunna do shit to me, hot stuff. Arsenic grinned and rapidly slithered to stand inches from Citrine's face, her liquidous eyes boring into hers. And if you've read my mind...even a little, you know that i'm not gonna fail Azure. She honestly hoped that Citrine would be foolish enough to use her powers in such a restricted space. Arsenic mentally pictured herself as an acidic, venomous mist that burrowed into the woman's skin and seared her lungs from within until she was no more that goo on that ground. Yet, she kept Azure's orders in mind, not to engage enemy M-Types unless provoked. I suggest you run. I'm not too good with following orders.
Azure tells me I have a brother, but how come I don't remember him? I think he's just saying that so i'll feel better.

Whew, good. I caught him. The ivory wind dissolved, for the most part, after catching Azure.
'Ah! He- he's transforming! Is Vermillion okay? Why is he floating?!', were basicly some of the many thoughts that ran through Ivory's mind. Eventually, however, Vermillion was knocked out and Azure won. Ivory was about to turn around and begin walking away when she heard Azure's voice behind her.
"You are coming with me. It is the only way I can protect you. I know it was you who saved me, and LIMIT will punish you for that. So please."
Alarm rose in Ivory. "C-coming with you?!", she stuttered out as Azure got a hold of her arm. Then the rebel leader's word sunk in.
This guy... must know who I am. Ivory shot Azure a questioning look as he began to pull her along. LIMIT will punish me? Just because I helped a guy out? That's... The young M-type decided to drop it. The orphanage, LIMIT, it was all too much.
Might as well go with him, for now at least. "Where are we going, anyways?", she sighed.

What she had seen of Mika's ability as well as the rather distasteful little projection she'd been presented with just now had given her some insight into what was going on. Citrine was not Spectrum's daughter for nothing, after all, and she did have a larger knowledge of science and other such subjects than one might expect. Her opponent appeared to be able to dissolute herself into some kind of caustic gas, and while she was likely correct in saying that ordinary heat would do nothing to her, Citrine's fire was not ordinary heat.
Nevertheless, she had no wish to engage in battle here. The chemical reaction that would be caused by superheated flame against a volatile vapor was not likely to be pretty, and it was true that Sable was inside the range of her thoughts, which meant that she among others would likely be within the effect radius of whatever blast resulted. Citrine had no wish to harm bystanders or innocents, nor would she intentionally provoke this acidic personality.
Instead, her mental train was as calm and rational as possible, all things considered. She stood straight and quenched the flames at her palms. I reiterate that I have no desire for a confrontation. We have come only for Sable, and I suggest that you comply. The result of a match between you and I would be irrelevant. LIMIT's wrath would be swift and much less cooperative than I, surely you know this. Allow me to take Sable, and we will leave you to your freedom this day.
Even as she was saying this, a mental transmission from Vermillion reached her, though it was weak, and she could sense him losing consciousness. Oh, fantastic, she thought only to herself as she also sensed Azure and company enter her range. Just what I always wanted. An entire rebellion to deal with at once. Dry and acerbic as the thought may have been, Citrine knew her chances of victory in such a confrontation would be slim, even if some of those coming did seem a little overworn. She had to think of a way to get Sable, wake up Vermillion, and leave, fast.

This, she could not claim to be entirely comfortable with, and she was quite honestly contemplating overcoming her instinct for safety and trying to put a stop to whatever was about to happen when the selfsame woman's voice entered her consciousness. Rather than reflecting the hard look she had seen in her friend's eyes before, the tone was much closer to what Sable was accustomed to, and the words assuaged her fear significantly. Citrine wasn't unreasonable, at least not until she was truly upset, and Sable had only ever seen that happen once.
She was also strong, and though the dark girl could not say she knew enough to stack that strength against what she had seen of Mika, she was almost certain that Citrine would have the advantage. Whether this was out of blind faith for someone who had cared for her- and who she considered a good friend also- or from some more solid rationale, she could not say.
The room she was in was too dark for her to see much of anything at present, and so Sable sat against a wall, curling her arms about her knees, which she had drawn to her chest. Resting her head on them, Sable closed her eyes, though she was not intent upon sleep, or even rest. Rather, she understood that she had several decisions to make, and a good number of implications to sort through before this would be possible. Of one thing she was certain: she would never do anything to hurt Citrine or Vermillion. But what about LIMIT? The organization had given her her engine, but it had also kept her imprisoned for a number of years. Now that she was outside again, Sable did not know if she would be able to recommit to captivity, not that her present state was much better.
So what do I do?

Making his way up a few flights of stairs and down one of the corridors which led the storage area his engine reacted more and more to Cyrus. After passing two other storage room one he believed to carry the blood of agent "Sable" he made his way in front of a room where his engine resonated almost as if it were complete." no question Cyrus is here," he said. as Cyan opened the door to storage room delta, there were 5 guards to his sword, without hesitation he knocked them out." i didn't think it would be this easy to infiltrate LIMIT," he said as he pulled his sword out of its containment shell.

"I have prepared various safe houses across the city. We will be going to one of those." He stopped and looked over at Crimson, who was unconcious on the street. Azure held his hand out, and using his new powers, warped him to LIMIT HQ. "It's the least I could do...Vermillion." Sighing he looked forward. "Come. We must hurry to the others." He turned to Silver. "Let's go." Running down the street he pulled Ivory behind him. Because she had saved him, he made a silent promise to protect her in return. Ivory, the secret project, known only to the highest of LIMIT officials.
Up ahead he could see Arsenic and Citrine, each ready to fight. Letting go of Ivory he calmly stepped forward. "That's enough...Citrine." He smiled. "It's been awhile." Holding his hands up he gave he a calm look. "I'm not here to fight. No, I actually have quite the opposite intentions. I know you two are here for Sable, that you especially were close to her. However, I cannot allow you to take her. For one, no one should be subjected to the pains she had to go through, and to heave her back would hinder my mission. I do not intend to send you away empty handed." Reaching into his pocket he pulled out two objects. One was a data disk, the other a phone.
"On this disk...will explain everything you need to know. The reason why I chose to leave LIMIT. I know you will find the information disturbing, and it's likely you might not believe me. However, I have no need to lie. What is on that disk is the truth. Also, if you find the need to contact me, you may do so using this phone. I will meet you if you need me to. All I ask is that you keep these from your father. I know this is a tall order to ask, especially coming from an enemy, but I ask that you believe me. That is all. Farewell, Citrine." Putting a hand on her shoulder, he also teleported her to LIMIT HQ. He then turned to everyone around him. Come let's get inside. It's time I have explained the true purposes of LIMIT." Leading them inside he looked over to Sable sitting on the ground. He walked over to her, helping her up and into a chair.
"Forgive me for the rough escape. It was necessary to keep you out of LIMIT's hands. I will try to make our next one more comfortable..." Azure joked as he too pulled up a chair to the large circular desk in the middle. Snapping his fingers a hologram appeared in the middle, with the title Human Population Control Poject. I do hope everyone is listening, for this is a story you will not want to miss. As you all know, throughout the last five years there has been enexplained attacks by unknown creatures, who we have deemed Magispawn. These attacks are usually devistating, resulting in the deaths of dozens of people. At first, you may write them off as a byproduct of ancient magic, normal animals transformed into hideous beasts by the excess of magic outside. However, as I have found out, this is not the case. If you look at the attacks they follow a pattern. Whenever this cities population reaches a certain high, an attack happens, lowing the total population to a set standard. I have learned this by searching the highest of LIMIT's secure server, accessable to only Spectrum himself, and a few others. This form of control was created by LIMIT, and the entire purpose of the M-Types is to clean up the mess, and make LIMIT out to be heroes. Its a continuous cycle that we have followed unknowingly for years." Azure took a breath, and stood up.
"Spectrum thinks that he can use this creatures that he has created to kill innocent people, all in the name of population control. When I learned this, I knew that the cycle had to end. I am sorry I had waited to tell you, yet there were things I had to clarify, and know, I know where the Magispawn creation facilities are located." Snapping his fingers again the hologram changed to a map of the city, with three points highlighted. "These will be a points of attack. Unlike previous missions we will not attack indiviually, but as a unit, seeing as these are the most guarded buildings in the entirety of LIMIT." He stopped and looked at Sable and Ivory. "I do not expect you two to join us. Instead, I will escort you to another safehouse, where you two will be safe from LIMIT." Suddenly, Azure's vision became blurry. "I apologize...but I need to...rest." He said, falling unconscious to the floor.
---------
In the deepest reaches of LIMIT HQ, there was a room sealed with five foot thick steel, guarded by twenty guards. Inside, a contraption lay in the middle, consisting of chains and steel bars, wrapped around the form of a person. A small giggle could be heard coming from the form.
"Isaac...you have gotten, strong...How fun..." A female voice said, followed by a light laugh.

Inscrutable eyes behind which lay the greatest, most logical mind in generations of humanity narrowed ever-so-slightly. In truth, the only thing that had gone slightly awry was the timing, but then, even this could be worked with. What Azure did not understand was that all of this had long since been accounted for. The understanding of those involved could not break the fourth wall, so to speak, but Spectrum had done so long ago.
"Computer, connect me to Level 0," he ordered, and the screen flicked to the image of a young woman, perhaps but a shade older than his own child, bound by restraints designed to keep her from harming herself or anyone else.
Spectrum spoke, knowing that the words would be piped into the cell of this particular prisoner. "001," he cut into her rambling smoothly, "I have a mission for you..." He debated having her deal with the obvious intruder first, but there were other people to put on that, and as soon as Onyx got back (which he hypothesized should be but momentarily) that would be his task.

Citrine had accepted the items Azure offered her, but not without suspicion. Whatever he was trying to tell her would in all likelihood make no difference. Still, the part of her conscience that nagged repeatedly at the little gaps in her knowledge of who her father really was would not afford her the opportunity to refuse such an offer, though she still had no intention of leaving without Sable.
She was about to point out that keeping her forcibly with them made the rebels in no way different from LIMIT, but Azure was too close for comfort. She might have moved away, but the hand on her shoulder produced a lurching sensation in the pit of her stomach, and she blinked only to find herself once again in front of LIMIT HQ, a very-unconscious Vermillion on the pavement beside her.
You know, she remarked, though she was fairly certain he could not hear, I feel like we've been here before. Turning the disk over in one hand, she placed it and the phone in her pocket surreptitiously before moving to the side of her fallen comrade. It was obvious from his condition that he'd overexerted his engine yet again, and she shook her head with frustration. Dammit, Vermillion, is it really so important to kill him? She understood, of course, that Azure was a rebel and needed to be dealt with as a danger to LIMIT, but there was nothing saying that it had to be done in single combat, especially not when you had explicit orders to the contrary. Vermillion was going to get himself killed one of these days, and that bothered her more than she cared to admit.
Of course, one never liked to hear that one of one's comrades had been killed in action, but in all honesty she didn't know most of them too well, all things considered. Perhaps that was a fault, to privilege a few over all, but nevertheless it was one she could not help, and in the end it did not much affect the way she went about her job anyway.
Sighing to herself, she directed one of the perimeter guards, who was looking at the pair with a confused look, to help her transport him to the medical bay, where he was settled onto a hospital bed. Sable's blood seemed to have saved his life, but he would still need to recover the energy he had lost. For a while, she hung around the bay, just to make sure the doctors thought it was only a need for recovery, but eventually she grew restless and left, wandering about the halls as she had seen Sable do so many times before. Eventually her musings led her to the thirteenth floor, which was a sort of group rec area for the agents. One room therein contained little but a large grand piano, and it was this that Citrine situated herself in front of. Playing was a lifetime pursuit of hers, and one that usually helped her mood considerably, and it was not long before the mournful strains of a classical piece were echoing off the walls.

She wasn't honestly sure what to do; she understood well enough that she was not any freer to leave than she had been at LIMIT, but there was no reason to be resentful for this. Perhaps some people were not meant to be free, and she was just one of them. She could not bring herself to dislike any of the people about her, even Arsenic, and thus she would cooperate as far as she could without hurting anyone she cared about. No that there was much she could do, mind: she was not a combatant in any sense of the word.
"I apologize...but I need to...rest." Sable's eyes immediately snapped back to Azure. That hadn't sounded right at all, and she knew she was right a second later when he fell to the floor. The girl was the first to her feet, and walked calmly to his side, kneeling and placing her first two fingers to his pulse point. His heart was beating, but weakly, and it was obvious that he was drained. the medical knowledge she had gained from so many days spent reading informed her that he was likely bleeding internally, and her powers confirmed it.
There was little to be done in terms of replacing depleted energy, but she could heal his insides for the moment. If his engine continued to malfunction, though, such abuse to his body might kill him if not monitored carefully. Frowning, Sable gently rolled Azure onto his back with surprising strength for someone of her stature, and settled back onto her legs, tilting her head just a bit to the side. It would be worth a full examination, just to determine exactly what had been ruptured.
In so deciding, the girl placed her hands, palm down, so they were hovering a few inches from the rebel's chest, taking a deep but quiet breath and closing her eyes before activating her engine. Passing her hands in the air over Azure's vital organs, she picked out the injuries one by one, and an ethereal, opaque black aura formed over her hands, sinking at the force of her will into Azure's body, knitting vessels together and siphoning off excess blood even as the same color spread from her iris to fill the entire shape of her eyes. It seemed this man's engine was staging a rebellion of its own, one much more violent than his.
Everything was put back where it went, for now, but Azure's vital signs were still weak, and Sable made the decision to strengthen them with her own. The transference of energy was brief, but she felt its effects almost instantly, in the form of a vertigo that she only ever got from this procedure. Still, another check of her patient's heartbeat indicated that he was in much better shape now, and it likely would not take him long to awaken once more.
Standing, she swayed on her bare feet for a second before steadying, blinking rapidly to clear her vision of the swimming sensation, even as the whites returned to normal. She said nothing even as she proceeded to a far corner of the warehouse, wherein lay a number of supplies, including blankets. Of these, she took one, and returned to Azure, laying it gently over him. Sometimes, such extreme exhaustion could be accompanied by a loss of heat, and the building wasn't exactly warm.
That done, she made a passing glance at the rest before settling herself back into the corner she had occupied before they had shown up. She'd need to sleep soon, too, given the expenditure of energy this had required. But she didn't feel safe enough for that, not yet.
It wasn't for the first time, then, that she wished for even one familiar face.

When she returned to the small group the mind-reader was nowhere to be seen. Sable, however, was kneeling over Azure and forcing some black energy into him! Arsenic hissed and lunged at the dark girl...and came to an abrupt stop as Sable withdrew, leaving a much healthier looking Azure. Fuck...you dumbass. She's the healer... Scratching the back of her head, Arsenic's face flushed and she glanced away in embarassment. A quick survey of the room brought her exactly what she required. Reaching into a small crate near the mini-fridge near the dust-botted window, a small orange object was retrieved.
Arsenic approached Sable with a purposeful, almost intimidating stride that spoke of punishment to come. Yet, she stopped just in front of the girl. Lowering herself onto her haunches and refusing to meet Sable's gaze, Arsenic placed the tiny package on Sable's lap. It read Reese's in yellow and black letters.
"Thanks..." her words of gratitude were barely audible as Arsenic arose to sit down next to Azure. She absently stroked his hair, staring at nothing in particular. After a few minutes a look of realization dawned on her;
You didn't catch my hat, did you Blue?
-----------------------------------------
The world was little more than an enveloping darkness interrupted by momentary periods of lucid glimpses into the waking world. It would have been a long, comfortable sleep had not Azure interfered. A sudden lurch accompanied by a sense of falling snapped Vermillion out of his stupor just as the spacial transport dropped him off at HQ. He looked around in panic for a moment before realizing where exactly he was. With a sigh, the beaten man leaned his head back and closed his eyes in defeat.
I lost. Fuck. Spectrum's presence going unnoticed, Vermillion rested on the cool ground looking very much unconcious while contemplating his utter humiliation. By the time Citrine arrived he had reached an ultimatum; Level 10 would be required to even think of matching Azure's new power. Sadly, that would result in near-instant death. As Citrine's mental voice resounded in his skull, Vermillion made sure to banish the thoughts from his mind just in case she skimmed over his thoughts. In fact, no mental response was given at all. The only thing Vermillion thought of was darkness, as if to simulate a dreamless sleep. It wasn't until he was rested into the medical bed and placed on an IV drip did he even deign to open his eyes. Alone. Again.
Three minutes of silence was all it took before Vermillion couldn't stand it. Thanks for the lift, hot stuff. The smile in his mental voice was almost a visual thing.

I should have known you weren't actually out so cold; whatever Azure's new trick is, it is not a comfortable sensation by any means. More seriously now, she lapsed into a bit of silence, contemplative. Once, she might have been able to focus on the music and drown out the rest, but she'd become far too good at multitasking for that. Do you think- no. Perhaps I shall have to ask father and see. He will doubtless wish to see us soon, so rest as much as possible between now and then. Please, she added after a pause.
There was much to consider, now. The disk Azure had given her was still in her pants' pocket; she would definitely take a look at it when the time came, but she was unsure if she wished to do so alone, or tell Vermillion of it as well. In all likelihood, it was a moot question, since it would not contain anything true; or if it did, it would only be things she already knew. Well aware was Citrine that LIMIT could not protect everyone, and innocents died every day because there were not enough agents. The organization could hardly be blamed for this: MagiTech or not, they were still human. Even Spectrum himself.
Sighing, Citrine stopped playing and gazed out the large window in this room. Night would once again fall, soon, but somehow the haze of uncertainty that for reasons unknown was choosing to strike her at this moment made that fact a bit more frightening. Not to say that she was literally afraid of the dark, of course (though in truth she would probably have to say that to a certain extent she was) but because she feared the possibilities of what it might conceal.

Well, that's not true, but this story doesn't feel like it was meant for so small a pool of writers. But! If you two are still interested me post whenever~
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
But anyway, Dante's purgatory is I think slightly more interactive, but then it's Dante, not some theological authority, so who knows?
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
I shall read now...
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
We thought it would be the best way to make some sense out of that mess. (^_^)
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
;-; and I dont take things seriously either! People feel that they need to force belief on me though.
And yes. Post. Go have fun with Sable~
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
And the whole 'people who can't understand faith thing... I think I'd want to be kickin' it in purgatory anyway. I mean think about it... it's where all the cool pagans get to hang out. Who wouldn't want to hang out with the ancient Greeks or Chinese or whatever? It would be totally badass.
I fail to take things seriously at all times. (^_^)
And yay! Post!
Re: [OOC] LIMIT: The Last City
Hehe. Got em real riled up with that one. And the question; "Where does a mentally disabled or braindead person go when they die?" Since they either have no clear concept of morality or true faith, or maybe even nothing at all, are they sent to hell, or purgatory, or what? And even then, mentally handicapped people(at least those i've met) are really sweet as a whole. Nice people. They don't get no heaven? Like, wtf?
Mk. I'm ranting. And I had a day out today sooo, i'll post tommorow morning ^^;

Some arguments are best left alone, dude.
But yeah, that's how you use forthwith.

Just kidding, of course. But you almost made Kiku sad. Don't you just feel like a horrible person now? Unless you ant to make her really sad, you should post in Revelation, too, ya bum! XD
