The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 13 authors

Where the only places for kids, teens, and young adults, to get a way and hang out is on the rooftops of the tall skyscrapers or in the small town close by the big city or the schools.
Our stories start in any one of these places.
The Rooftops.

The Small Town

The School

Now how does your story start?
Chase
Chases story starts in the city. On the graffiti decorated rooftops. He sit's on the edge of the building. Hanging his legs over the edge. To the right of him is a pop can that's taller than a normal pop can. It's a Monster energy drink. He grabs it with his right hand and bring's it to his lips to take a sip. Then, he places it back down in it's original spot.
Sitting on the edge to the left of him is his cell phone. He had a phone that the keyboard slides out to the side so he can text better. He picks up his phone and cecks his texts. he had only one from Jordan saying "Yo! Where r u? U missed da first hour o skool man! If u aint here by lunch imma come look for you dude!". He didn't want to go to school. He had a black eye and a fat lip from when he was jumped in the ally by two gang members. "Ay! I'll b right dere! Dont go all gangsta on me now im on my way" He text back.
Then, Chase stood up. He stood on the edge for half a minute. Just looking down thinking about what he's going to say if anyone ask about the black eye or the fat lip. I'll just say I got in a fight or something. He thought to himself. Then he reached down and picked up his Monster can and cell phone. He put his cell phone in his pocket and through the can over the edge. Then he pulled the hood of his baggy grey jacket over his head and walked over the rooftops until he got to the rooftop across from the school. Then, he climbed down the fire escape and got to the street then walked in the school. Some people may think he's in a gang with a old grey jacket that was zipped up about half way, his hood over his head casting a shadow over his forehead eyes and to the middle of his nose, old warn out dark ripped up baggy jeans, old faded navy blue tank top that he wore under his jacket, and old wore out faded grey Jordan's. He really didn't want to be here, at school, and he really didn't want to talk to anyone. But, that didn't stop people from talking to him.
Jordan
Jordan just finished texting Chase when she walked in the front door of the school. She had a big bruise on her right arm about an inch or so below her shoulder. She didn't want anyone to see it so she wore he jean jacket that had the sleeves that she rolled up to her elbows. It was the perfect cover. She said he to some of her friends as she walked to her locker. She put in her combination 3-8-1-7 she thought as she put it in. When she opened her locker, anyone who was close by would be able to see a picture of her and Chase from her seventeenth birthday; on of the rare pictures that had Chase smiling; a Nicki Minaj Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded CD album cover, a Rihanna Loud album cover, and a picture of her mother and Izzy her pet hedgehog.
Jordan smiled as she looked at the pictures, and that motivated her for the day. She took a math text book out of her locker and headed to class. She didn't have any classes with Chase, but they had lunch together. So Jordan looker in her little notebook that she uses to organize her life. It was so crowded in that little book. The only person that would ever be able to figure out what was going on in that little book was Jordan herself. In it for lunch she put down Find Chase at lunch. She had other people she was defiantly going to talk to at lunch, but she could just find them. She needed to remind herself of Chase though. She wanted to see why he didn't want to come to school with her today.
Jordan then felt the sharp pain of her bruise. She looked around real fast to see if there was anyone else in the classroom. When the coast was clear, she slowly pulled her sleeve up to look at the bruise. "Shhhhhh!" She winched at the pain when her long finger nail scraped the bruise on accident. "Ouch." She said aloud quietly. There was tears in her eyes, but she held it in. When she heard someone come in the classroom, she quickly pulled her sleeve back down and opened her notebook and just stared at it.
Her tale starts with a near-death experience, or so she would like to call it. Freya was bringing her bony figure to the limits, climbing the trees in the town park while attempting to take pictures. Her fair hair was pulled up and she was dressed to be comfortable. She was standing on what seemed like a sturdy branch, on her tip-toes and trying to take photos of the bird nest that was hidden in the higher branches. Her body was pressed against the trunk in an attempt to keep her balance, however when she moved a little she lost her footing and slipped.
Freya let out a scream as she felt her body move in downward direction. Clutching her expensive camera in one hand - a gift she bought herself with the money she won in her last pageant ever; Freya attempted to grab onto anything that passed near her hand. Lucky for her, she managed to grab onto a branch just as about she was to hit the ground. Letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding, Freya let go of her camera after checking that the strap was securely around her neck and jumped down from the branch.
When she was securely on the ground again, Freya inspected her camera for any scratches or breaks. Relieved that the camera was unharmed, the girl looked over her body. She had a few scratches and might have a bruise or two later on, but she was in one piece for what she was grateful.
"I'm not climbing trees ever again." Freya muttered to herself, glaring at the tree like it was guilty of making her fall.
She decided to stroll through the park and take pictures from the safe ground level. Maybe some people wouldn't mind starring as models in a few pictures that she would take today - most of which would either go in her portfolio or onto her blog.
Easy going as ever, Andy was laid down on the rooftops that were scattered over the city. With his head up in the clouds and earphones in his ears, he didn't care if there was a natural disaster or the apocalypse going on around him. He was relaxing and in a state of near nirvana without the use of anything but the music made by the band of the same name.
He has finished his shift at his dad's motocross bike renting companty about an hour and a half ago and was glad to get away from prissy customers with stupid questions and even stupider ideas about motocrossing. After three hours of saying 'Yes sir we do sell motocross bikes' to people who apparently forgot their reading glasses from home, he was worn out. He also had another three hour shift later on in the day, but was considering to talk his dad out of having to do it.
Andy was a laid back kid and he didn't like being told what to do. He felt like going to some sort of party later on, however he knew of none coming up. Apparently everyone was still worn out from the weekend. Shrugging, Andy went back to listening to his music, noticing a group of people a few rooftops away from himself, staring and pointing at him.
Her story starts with no special beginning. The large two story mansion like house was quite perusal, but it never felt like home to her. Even though she had lived there her whole life. Only the sounds of the radio and her Great Dane Quinnβs snoring could be heard, she was home alone with only the maids, but that was nothing new. She sat in front of her vintage looking vanity as she put her make-up on. She loved school, for the simple fact she got to see people who actually cared whether or not she was alive unlike her parents who at the moment were in Paris and never even bothered to ask there only daughter if she wanted to come along, in fact they hadnβt even told her they were leaving. She gave a saddened sigh as she thought about it, never the less she painted her pouty pink lips with a pale pink gloss and brightened her face with a fake but yet selling smile. She pushed a black lip ring through the whole in her lip, as she grabbed her book bag throwing it over her shoulder. Quinnβs head shot up, he was very protective of her. He hopped up following her down the stairs. He would sleep by the door until she got home.
She pulled into the school parking lot her eyes darting around the lot as she looked for a place to park She smiled seeing her usual spot open as she pulled her 65 mustang into the spot, the group of usual preppy rich jocks standing by their trucks, cat calling Rome as she got out. Of course she knew every one of them and didnβt really take their cat calls seriously. She was a part of the in crowd, but somehow she still felt completely alone. She gave them a simple wave.
βYou guys coming to my party this weekend right?β She asked stopping in front of them.
βYeah of course, We wouldnβt miss it for the world Romieβ the quarter back smirked as he made an obvious look over her body.
βYou boys should head to class before your lateβ she smiled not noticing as she continued into the school.
She walked through the as she said hi to a few of her friends though not stopping to talk like she normally did simply heading to her first class. The day going by slowly like usual. Finally it was lunch. She thought to herself, normally she would head home for lunch being a senior she had off campus privileges, but today she decided to head to the library and study a bit. She was apparently too caught up in the text her mom had sent her to realize she was about to walk into someone. She continued walking bumping hard into Chase. Her IPhone falling out of her hands.
βDamn itβ she mumbled under her breath βIβm so sorry!β She said looking up to his face, her eyes widening a bit seeing who it was.
βChaseβ¦Iβ¦How are you? I havenβt seen you all year.β she said giving him a smile before realizing his face. βAre you okay?β she asked worried. They hadnβt talked in close to a year, but she still cared about him. She actually really missed him being in her life. He was the only one she had ever really been able to talk to.
Lunch, thank god! Chase thought as the bell rang for lunch. He didn't feel like going to lunch, but he had to because Jordan wanted to talk to him. He thought of Jordan as the little sister he never really wanted, but he put up with her anyways.Β
"Ayy!" Chase yelled, a bit too angrily too, when someone had bumped into him in the hall. He was about to throw whoever did it against a locker, until he realized it was Rome. "Oh, hey, Rome." Chase said with a slight awkward smile. Yeah, he even had trouble talking to girls he's know for a long time, but they haven't talked in awhile so it's normal.Β
"I'm good. I'm bout to go to lunch. Imma met up with Jordan if you wanna come?" Chase said. His hood was still up, so no one really couldn't see his black eye, but anyone could clearly see his fat lip. And with every fat lip comes a matching black eye when ever it comes down to Chase.Β
"Speak of the devil." He said loud enough for Kennedy to hear, but he was really saying it to himself. He said this as Jordan walked up. For some reason Chase didn't think Jordan and Rome would get along. Jordan was part of the group that always bumped heads with the in-group, witch was the group Rome was in.
Jordan was walking down the school hallway going to lunch as she looked for Chase. She stopped to talk to one of her friends, Courtney. When they were talking, she saw the girl run into Chase. Yeah, she knew the girl but they never really talked much.
"Ay, Chase! Where the fuck were you, boy?" Jordan said as she steamed over to Chase and the girl. "Cee, what happened to your lip?" She added as she noticed his fat lip and she gently put her hand on his chin, using her thumb to gently feel the small cut on the bottom lip where it was fat and bruised.
Then she pulled his hood down revealing his black eye. "Of course." Jordan said quietly and a disappointing look washed over her face. She didn't like that he had gotten in a fight and got beat up. It made her feel like it was all her fault in some way.Β
Jordan then turned to the girl that ran into Chase. "Hi, I'm Jordan." She said shyly with a shy smile and held out her hand to shake. Witch was awfully weird considering that Jordan had practically yelled at Chase just a moment ago. Then again, it is Jordan we're talking about.
Kennedy simply watched the interaction between the two, she felt a little out of place, a slightly jealous when the girl touched him. But she quickly shook the feeling she had no right to be jealous. This girl had obviously known him well and that was more then she could say, in a way she had kind of betrayed Chase, it wasnβt like her parents had told her she couldnβt hang out with him. In fact he was the only friend they actually like, when they choose to pay attention. She sighed slightly upset seeing the black eye and fat lip. She gave him a small sad look.
Before turning to the girl βJordan Walters right?β she smiled βWe have English together.β She said in a friendly tone that she was worried sounded to fake, but in all honesty she was being sincere, most people thought of her as fake because of her money and she always had a smile, people normally suspected her of being a bitch and she hated that.
She shook Jordanβs hand, trying to make it as sincere as possible. She glanced back to Chase βMaybe we should get you some Ice for that.β She offered, before looking back to Jordan βMaybe after we can all grab some lunch?β she asked, trying to hide the nerves in her voice, knowing this wasnβt exactly her crowed and she didnβt want to impose. She know she would get crap from her friends if she actually did have lunch with them, but she wasnβt the type of person to judge others and she would probably be the one telling her friends off if they said anything. "Oh...I'm Rome, by the way or Romie, whatever you choose is fine by me" she said giving her a smile.
Jordan listened to what Rome had to say. She was mildly shocked that, one they had a class together, and two that Rome actually paid attention enough to remember Jordan's first and last name. "Yeah." She said quietly, as she tried remembering all the people in her English class. Jordan sat in the back with two other friends of hers, Kayla and Nick. Rome must sit in front with all the bitchy kids. Jordan thought to herself, slightly smiling at her own remark.
When Rome said that they should get some ice for Chases eye, Jordan just nodded. She looked at Chase sadly, tears almost starting to form in her eyes, but she wasn't going to say anything. She didn't even want to know what happened.Β "Okay, let's go." Jordan said as she grabbed Chases wrist and started walking to the Cafeteria. She stopped almost mid step after they walked a few feet from where they were once standing with Rome.Β
Personally, Jordan didn't want Rome to come to help with Chases messed up face, but she couldn't find it in her heart to just ditch her in the middle of the hall like that. "Wait here." She told Chase in a strong yet quiet voice as she put a hand on his shoulder and look him in the eye. Then she walked back to Rome. "I can't believe I'm doing this." Jordan said quietly to herself as she walked over to Rome. "Uhhβ¦your coming too." Jordan said as she stood a little too close for her own comfort in front of Rome. Then she grabbed her wrist like she did chase and pulled her to where Chase was standing.
Jordan then let go of Rome's wrist and turned Chase around where he was facing the way to the cafeteria. "Let's go!" Jordan said loudly where both Chase and Rome could hear her over the crowd of students. Then Jordan pushed Chase along to the cafeteria.Β
Chase just went along for the ride and had basically a blank face the whole time. He knew that Jordan was defiantly sad, mad, and disappointed in him. And he was pretty sure Rome felt the same as Jordan in that part. But he defiantly knows that this isn't going to end well. He's afraid one of the girls are going to end up snapping. And if it's Jordan. He ain't going to know what he'll do. Yeah, Chase knows Jordan can be nice and caring, but he's met the mean side and he doesn't want Rome to be on the other end of that mean side.
Rome smiled to Jordan βI uhβ¦I really donβt have toβ she said nervously as the girl pulled her along. Soon the three of them getting to the nurses office.
βIβll get the iceβ she said as she set down her book bag, heading to the nurse grabbing a pack of Ice, her volunteering in the office a lot knowing exactly where it was. βThis should help with the swelling.β She said in her naturally sweet voice as she wrapped the pack of ice in the brown paper towel.
She gently placed it on his lip. Taking a small breath as she looked to Jordan βHere you shouldβ¦β she trailed off, trying not to make it as awkward. She knelt down digging through her bag pulling out a small bottle of Tylenol, handing Chase two of the pills and a bottle of water. βShould help with the painβ she smiled.
βHey, Candy, what the fuck you doing with these losers?β The voice was familiar to Rome, her ex-boyfriend, who if you asked anyone was still completely in love with her.
She was almost positive that he had been the reason she stopped hanging out with chase now thinking about it. She stood up seeing him of course with a football in his hand. Itβs not even football season. She thought rolling her eyes.
βWhy donβt you mind your own business, or are you still too busy obsessing over me Derrick?β she asked irritated with him.
βWhatever babe, you know you still want me.β He smirked grabbing her by her wrist rougher than necessary. It was evident that he had been drinking, which in all honesty wasnβt hard to get away with at this school.
She rolled her eyes βYouβre lucky I donβt tell the couch youβve drinking.β She threatened, causing him to shake his head and leave the office before he caused a bigger scene. She knew how to deal with him even if he scared the shit out of her.
She tucked a strand of her long dark hair behind her ear trying to get her composure, remembering she was still in the presence of Chase and Jordan. She gave them a smile as if nothing had happened, grabbing her book bag. βI should get going.β She said trying to keep the fact that she wanted to cry under control. βIt was nice seeing you again and Nice officially meeting you Jordan.β She smiled as she started to head out of the office before turning back to the two.
βHey, uhβ¦Iβm having a party at my house Friday night, you guys are welcome to come.β She said in a casual tone choking back tears. βYou still know where I live right Chase?β she said glancing to him.
In the end, Freya's stroll through the park resulted in her ending up in front of the school. With her camera in hand, she smiled at the place - only a year ago she was still a students of the school, although now it was only a distant memory. She had bittersweet memories of the place - she loved some things, but would much rather forget some more. Thinking of how her friends from the year below as well as her favourite teachers were fairing, Freya decided to see if she could get in. She remembered that it wasn't too difficult, the faculty not caring last year if some of the graduated students came back to visit.
After making some small talk at the reception, Freya was given a visitor's pass and was free to walk around the school. It wasn't too difficult, the woman on reception knew her and didn't make too much of a fuss when Freya asked her. Pocketing the pass into her pocket and with the camera hanging around her neck, Freya walked the corridors trying to find some people she knew. Remembering that most likely they would be having lunch at that time, she went in the direction of the cafeteria.
It turned out that those kids pointing at him were just wanna-be bad boys way too young to be trying to start a fight with him. They told Andy to get away from 'their place' and even threatened him! The nerve. If Andy was anyone else, those boys would be in hospital with broken limbs and swollen lips. However, he was a man of peace so he just let it slide and walked away. He was twenty-four, he wouldn't go about fighting sixteen year olds. Ridiculous.
Andy rolled his eyes as the kids were shouting at him - "Yeah, walk away you pussy!", "Coward, we showed you who's boss!". "You gonna go cry to mummy now?!". With his back turned towards them and walking to put even more distance between them, Andy flipped them off and went down to the street. He had work in a couple of hours, so he wondered if Rome's going to be there. At seventeen, she was still a kid in his eyes but it was amusing to see all those guys' expressions when she answered their bike-related questions perfectly. She had spunk, and he liked that about her. She was as much a little sister to him as Freya was.
Jordan took the ice pack from Rome as she gave it to her. As Jordan gently padded the ice pack on Chases lip she looked him in the eye. "Your a dumb ass, you know that?" She said quietly with a slightly sad look on her face. Chase just simply nodded, rolling his eyes slightly. "Uhhuh! Now don't you go rolling your eyes, Cee." As Jordan said this, she switched to padding Chases eye with the ice pack.Β
Jordan stopped with the ice when she heard someone defiantly call her and Chase losers. Normally, she would give that well known football player a piece of her mind, but he was too busy messing with Rome. Jordan being the person she is just looked away. She didn't want to see anything bad happen.
When Derrick left, Jordan looked at Rome. Jordan and Chase were sitting next to each other on the doctor like bed. Jordan was just holding the ice pack in on hand while the other one was resting on top of Chases hand. Jordan looked at Chase, wanting him to say something. When he didn't say anything and looked at Jordan then nodded his head to were Rome was standing. "You don't have go, Rome." Jordan said in a small quiet voice knowing that's what Chase wanted her to do.
When Rome mentioned the party, Jordan looked at Chase with a pleading look. Jordan just loved parties, but there was no way she was going to an in-crowd party with out Chase by her side.
Chase looked up when Derrick came in the office and called, most likely, him and Jordan losers. Chase flinched, wanting to get up and pond the living shit out of him for, one, being drunk and touching Rome while he was drunk, and, two, for calling Jordan and him losers. When Rome made Derrick leave, Chase eased up a bit.
Then, when Chase heard Rome say she should leave, he instantly looked at Jordan. Sure, Chase would have said something to Rome, but he honestly wanted Jordan and Rome to get along. The only way that'll happen is if they become friends. And Chase is taking it upon himself to fulfill that action.
Now, when Rome said party, Chase let out a kind of annoyed sigh. He knew if he said he didn't want to go to no party, Jordan will just keep begging him until he says fine. He looked at Jordan then rolled his eyes. "Okay, we'll try to make it. And yeah, I remember where your house is." He said standing up.Β
Jordan said "Yay!" as she watched Chase say that they'll try to make it. Then when she noticed who else was there, she coughed a little and said "Uhhβ¦I meanβ¦cool." She said, a slightly awkward smile came across her face. Then her and Chase laughed a little.Β
"Hey, let's go to lunch now." Chase said as he looked at Jordan. "You wanna grab some lunch with us, Rome?" He added, turning to Rome. He wanted her to have lunch with him and Jordan. He wanted to catch up with her and he wanted Jordan and her to get to know each other. He thinks it'll be good for both of them.
She smiled when they said they would try to come, maybe they would show the people she called her friends how to really party. She thought for a moment when they invited her to lunch, in all honesty she wanted to go to the bathroom and pull herself together after what had just happened. She gave a small sigh looking between the two friends.
βIβ¦umβ¦I guess if you donβt mind.β She said in a small voice.
Soon the group heading into the cafeteria to get some lunch, Kennedy sat quite for the most part not wanting to interrupt them, though she seemed to feel more comfortable here with Chase and Jordan then she ever felt with her own friends, even though they were getting weird looks. It was completely uncommon for the two groups to intermix. She pressed the calendar app on her IPhone. Of course she had work right after school, which she honestly didnβt mind. She didnβt have to work, but it was something that got her out of the house and she really liked working at the Motocross shop. She glanced up to the two as she tucked her phone in her pocket.
βSo I know chase likes to rapβ¦what about you?β she asked making casual conversation with the girl. Before glancing to the door way of the cafeteria seeing one of her old classmates. Freya and she had been photography partners and they actually got along fairly well. She gave her a small wave.

Jordan sat next to Chase and across from Rome at the round cafeteria table. When Rome said that she knew Chased liked rap and she asked Jordan what she likes, Jordan gave a small smile and glanced at Chase then back to Rome. "I like rap and R-n-B." Jordan replied with a smile and a slight laugh. This was the first time anyone actually asked her what type ofβ¦anything really, that she likes.Β
"What type of music do you like?" Jordan said with a smirk, folding her hands that were stretched out on the table as she leaned in a little on her elbows. She was expecting country, or screamo, or any type of music she doesn't like. She narrowed her eyes a little bit, small smile still on her face.
As she waited for a reply, she could feel people staring at her. She could also hear people whispering stuff. She looked around and was starting to feel a bit nervous. She didn't like when people stared at her like that. Jordan's smile faded from her face and she scooted a little bit closer to Chase with wide eyes and a slight frown on her face. Then she looked back at Rome, and waited for the reply to her question.
The train rattles to a stop and the doors open at the subway station. Tori's stop. She slips off the train and walks up the steps to the city streets. Not her favorite place to be, but it was a start since she wanted to be famous. The city was where all the important people were so she figured, sooner or later she had to get noticed.
As she walks down the street, she weaves in and out of the large crowds of people with a black guitar bag on her back. Finally she reaches a park in the center of the city. She sits on a bench and sets her guitar bag down, unzipping it and taking out an acoustic guitar setting it up against the bench as she opens the guitar bag wider so donations could go inside. Once it's open, she takes the guitar and sits on the bench, beginning to play and sing a song.
The phone rang and Joe got up to answer it as Shawn put the tools away. "Alright sweetie, Shawn will be there in a minute ok. Alright, talk to you later princess." Shawn turned when Joe mentioned his name. "What's up? Your wife wana see me again." "Kid, that's your auntie, she used to change your diapers." "Yea I know, was trying some garage talk, didn't work huh? Where am I going." "Beth is sick, your parents are working. She needs you to go pick her up." "Anything serious?" "No, no, she said her stomach hurt, probably just skipping." "I taught her well, I'll be back later." "Don't bother, I got the rest of the day. See you tomorrow." With a wave Shawn unzipped the top of his garage, navy blue, jump suit and threw on his green marine corp. T-shirt as the top half of his jump suit hanged at his waist.
It wasn't to long till Shawn actually got there. He was a little afraid that his beat up 71 challenger wasn't going to make it. It had been having some problems lately with it being so old. Even in a garage couldn't make up for the money that this car needed but it was a american classic and his car, his car that he was gonna repair over time. As he parked and walked past the parking lot he looked at some of the kids going to different periods or some trying to skip. He didn't hate school but he definitely didn't like it. He walked in and asked for them to call down his sister to the office as he waited. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, tell her I'll be in the cafiteria if she gets her." The receptionist nodded as Shawn walked his way down there. As he was passing the cafiteria he did a double take. "Freya?" Shawn asked as he saw the framiler blond with her camara. They had been in the same grade since middle school, he had a crush on her all throughout those three years to. "Hey!! Freya! Good to see you!" Shawn was about to go in for a hug but he noticed he was still a little greasy and stopped himself. He was needless to say a little greasy. "Man, it's only been a year but it feels like a lifetime huh? How have you been? Still taking pictures I see." Shawn said wearing a big smile as he talked to her. He was really happy to see her actually.
Rome smiled thinking for a moment βI like everything reallyβ she shrugged taking a drink of her water βKaty Perry, Nicki Minaj, Drake, umβ¦really anything that you can dance toβ she smirked βDancing is my life, contemporary to be exactβ she sighed thinking about it. βThough I would have to say Sarah Mclachlan is my favorite artist to perform to.β She smiled nervously βIβm sorry am I talking too much, I tend to do that when I get nervousβ she admitted taking another drink from her water bottle.
βYou know Iβve heard Chase, and Iβm sure your amazing, you two should put something together for the talent show I hear thereβs going to be scouts there. You never know might be your big break.β She said looking between Jordan and Chase.
She sighed as she looked down to her notebook that she had out jotting things down like she always did. She liked to keep her mind always occupied. Even though the things she wrote down didnβt really make sense to anyone else, her short poems made sense to her. βIf I didnβt have such stage fright Iβd try out for the talent show.β She frowned looking down at her notebook.
Jordan looked around, still not really like the attention, then she turned her attention to Rome with a small smirk on her face. "What kind of dancing do you do?" She said. "Do you do like ballet or something?" Jordan added with a small laugh. Jordan likes dancing too, but not the kind of dancing that she would do on stage or anything. Yeah, she likes party and club dancing, figures.
Then when Rome said that she had stage fright, Jordan said "I used to have stage fright too." with a reassuring smile. "Then I met this guy underground." She added with a smile pointing her thumb at Chase. "That was the funnest time I've had underground." She said, looking at Chase, but still telling it to Rome. "I think doing the talent show would be fun." She said with a huge smile looking down as she put one of her legs over the other. "Don't you think so too, Cee?" Jordan added, looking at Chase with a smile.
Then when Chase just got wide eyes, Jordan laughed. "I ain't doing anything I write up, though. There ain't no way I'mma do that." She said shaking her head a little. Then she looked around at all the students in the cafeteria. They were still looking at them and whispering. "You know what. I don't feel like going to the rest of the classes today. Ay, you guys wanna ditch?" She said, shifting eyes between Chase and Rome. She knew Chase was going to say yeah, but she didn't know about Rome.
Chase widened his eyes when Rome mentioned that him and Jordan should do the talent show. He was okay with it, he just didn't want to me the laughing stock of the school. Chase thinks that he's a horrible rapper. But, he'll end up needing to do it anyway now that Rome had to go and mention it in front of Jordan. "Well, we ain't doing anything I write up either." He said, looking at Jordan.
When Jordan mention ditching, Chase stood up right away. "May we go?" He asked Jordan, holding his hand out to help her up. "We shall." Jordan replied, taking Chases hand and standing up. "Your coming too. Weather you want to or not." Chase said, looking at Rome with a smile. His smile faded a little when the smile made his lip hurt a little. But he was still smiling.
"You can't force her to ditch, Cee." Jordan said, trying to keep a straight face, but failed when she laughed and shot her hands over her mouth to hide her smile and laughter. "Oh well, she going." Chase replied, looking at Jordan. Then he turned his attention to Rome. "Come on, Romie." Chase said, helping her up. "Let's go to the roof tops!" Chase said a little too loudly once they were out of the school. He went and pulled the ladder down from the fire escape and let the girls go up first. Then he lead the way to the top of the escape and helped the girls up on to the roof top of the building.
First, he helped Jordan up. He was already on the roof and was going to pull the girls up. He reached down and grabbed forearm of her right arm with his right arm and she did the same. With Jordan's free hand, she pulled her self onto the rooftop as Chase had his hand on her back, making sure Jordan wouldn't fall. Once Jordan was on the rooftop, he did the same and helped Rome up.
Once Jordan was on the roof, she went all the way to the other side of the plane sandy white rooftop and sat on the edge with her knees up to her chest and her arms around her knees. She just stared out over the other rooftops of the city while Chase and Rome were left alone. "May the lord protect me as the world gets hectic...my voice projected, my life reflected." Jordan said quietly to herself, closing her eyes as she said it and went into her own little world for that moment.
βI really shouldnβtβ but it seemed she had no chose in the matter.
Rome thought about using the excuse she would get in trouble if her parents found but, but she knew full well Chase knew better than that, in fact anyone who knew Rome knew she was always alone, in that be house Which didnβt exactly make her comfortable. She smiled when he called her Romie, it felt god to her him caller her that again after so long. She followed them up the latter to the roof tops. Enjoying the view once she got up there. She glanced to Jordan with a small worried look. She didnβt know her well but Rome had a tendency to worry about everyone.
βItβs been forever since Iβve been up hereβ she admitted giving her old friend a smile. She use to come here all the time s she wouldnβt have to be home alone. βIs she okay?β she finally asked, glancing from Chase to Jordan.
Chase smiled a little as Rome smiled at him. Then when she asked if Jordan was okay, he glance over to Jordan. "I don't know. She does that all the time when ever we ditch and come up here." He explained. "Whenever I try asking what's wrong, she just blows it off and says she's fine then she starts joking around, so..." He paused. Thinking about what to say. "I'm sure she's fine." He added, swinging his arm and snapping his wrist. Then he laid down on his back. "Why don't you try talking to her?" He added before he put his ear bud's in and turned on a really strong rap Eminem song. Not one of the meaningful ones raps, but a very strong cruse langue song. Tuning everyone out.
Chase personally wanted to know what was wrong with Jordan, but when she keeps blowing him off and saying nothing's wrong and she fine, he has to believe her. He's not like Jordan and can make them do stuff. Well, with her anyway. "Just talk to her!" Chase said loudly looking up at Rome. He couldn't hear a thing over his music. There could be a shooting going on right by them, and he wouldn't notice. He closed his eyes and put his hands behind his head and laid there listening to music in his own little world. Just hoping that Rome goes talk to Jordan in the real world and finds out what's up.
Rome jumped a bit when he yelled at her not that she was scared it just caught her off guard. She sighed, what in the hell was she supposed to say to her, she had just barely been formally introduced to her more or less an hour ago. She walked over to the girl sitting down next to her hanging her legs over the edge. She didnβt say anything. She kept running different lines through head on what to say.
βI know I donβt know you very well Jordan, but itβs obvious something is bothering you.β She said in a soft concerned tone. βAnd you donβt have to tell me, I really have no business asking. But, sometimes it helps to have someone to talk toβ she said not looking at Jordan, but looking out across the roof tops. βI would never say anything to anyone.β Her voice was faint almost too quiet to catch, she wasnβt even sure if Jordan had heard.
It was quiet for a long moment, before Rome decided to speak again. βIβm sorry, for my weird imposition today.β She sighed βButβ¦thanking for inviting me, I know your group and my group donβt exactly get along.β She said in and honest voice.

Jordan watched as Rome sat down next to her. At first, she wanted to get up and find another place to sit, but something told her it'd be mean and rude. Jordan hated being mean and rude unless someone was like that to her first. She just stared out over the city. Not saying a word.Β
Then, Jordan finally spoke when Rome said something about their crowds. "Don't be sorry." She said in a quiet and slightly shaky voice. Jordan hated that. Whenever she's feeling like this she can make it seem like she's fine, but the voice. She can never change the voice to fit the act.Β
Jordan closed her eyes and took in a big breath and let it out. It was a very shaky breath. She still had her knees up and her arms around them. "Oww." She said in a very quiet slightly shaky voice. Of course my arm would start hurting now, at this moment, in the worst place, at the worst time. She thought to herself, winching a little as she touched the spot on her right arm right below the shoulder through the jean jacket she was wearing.Β
A small tear came from Jordan's eye. She just hoped Rome didn't see it. The last thing Jordan wanted to show was weakness. "Hey, do you have any pain-pills?" She asked Rome, her voice still slightly shaky. She didn't even look at Rome when she asked this. She was scared she would start crying or something. And that was the last thing she wanted to do. It seemed like her whole arm was hurting from the pain.
Then, something occurred to Jordan. "Whyβ¦" She said, her voice quiet and a little hoarse. She gave a small cough, then continued. "Why are you talking to me?" She added. Her voice was quiet, but not shaky. "I mean, I know Chase told you to talk to me, but you know as well as me that you don't need to listen to what he says soβ¦why?" Jordan explained. She was still holding her knees, but she was looking at Rome this time. Then a small smirk came across her face. "You like him, don't you?!" She practically yelled, throwing her legs down over the edge, one leg over the other, and both hands on either side of her palms faced down on the edge. She just stared at Rome with this big smirk like she found out someone's big secret.
Kennedy glanced over seeing her touch her arm. She wasnβt stupid she knew something was seriously wrong. She didnβt say anything as she reached into her bag to get the small bottle of Tylenol she always carried on her giving her two and handing her water bottle. She saw the tear, but she knew girl code, if you donβt like being asked when youβre upset, you donβt ask someone else. Then the question came, and then the accusation. She stayed quiet for a long moment, it almost seemed endless.
βIβm talking to you because you obviously mean a lot to Chase, and you must be a pretty great person in his book.β She smiled to Jordan βSo if you mean something to him, you mean something to me.β She said in a calm tone.
She thought for a few moments about how exactly she was going to word her next answer.
βChaseβ¦ha, Iβve never thought of him as more than a friend. Heβs really cute of course, but even the group of girls I hang out with think heβs cute.β She laughed at the thought.
βBesides, even if I like himβ¦WHICH I donβtβ she smirked βI would never want to screw up whatβs left of our friendship.β She spoke with Jordan as if they had been friends for years.
Rome glanced down to Jordanβs arm βWhoβs doing it to you?β she spoke in a hush tone as she glanced back up to Jordan βYou may be able to hid it from Chasey, but, Derrick use to do that to me.β She said taking a small breath, swallowing hard at the thought.

Jordan got a small soft friendly smile on her face when Rome mentioned that Jordan must mean something to Chase. Jordan took a glance at Chase, looking like an idiot lip singing whatever song he was listening to. Then when Rome asked who hurt her, Jordan looked down at her arm, hanging her head for a moment. Then looked up over the city again. She was to shocked by the question to go back into her knee-to-chest position. So she simply just tightened her grip on the edge.
"Uhβ¦" Jordan started then paused and swallowed then coughed. "Uhhβ¦no one's doing anything to me." She continued, her voice shaking a little. Now I remember why I never hang out with any girls anymore. She thought to herself. And it was true. Sure, she had girls that were her friends, but she never hanged out with them outside of school because of days like this when she was practically ready to break down. She really did hope that Rome would just drop the questions about her arm though. It was bad enough Chase coming to school with that black eye and fat lip. She didn't want anyone worrying about her. She could handle herself, right?Β
I ain't gonna cry. I ain't gonna cry. I ain't gonna cry. I ain't gonna cry. Jordan kept saying over and over in her head. It was only a small bruise. That's it. Nothing to cry about. She added to her little chant. Wait. What was that? Jordan thought as she took her right hand and slapped what she felt running down her check. "Ow." She said quietly when she slapped the tear a little to hard. "Shit." She added in the same quiet voice. She wanted to go home and hide her head under her covers in her room. But all she could do was hang her head. So, there she sat, next to Rome, on the edge of the building. Her head looking downward and her eyes forced shut. She had her head facing slightly away from Rome so she couldn't see her face. Her hands were starting to hurt from holding on to the edge so hard. Why now?! Why today?! Why here?! Jordan thought as she sat there. Knowing that Rome was going to either try to say something to make her feel better or that Rome is going to go get Chase to take care of everything. Jordan thinks she'll do the second one, honestly.Β
Rome took a deep breath, she had a saddened look on her face and whatever was bugging Jordan was causing her to cry, which made Rome physically hurt from the inside out. She swallowed as she took a drink of her water.
βListen Jordan, Iβm not going to pry and telling Chase is up to you.β She said in a quiet voice. βBut, you shouldnβt just keep everything bottled.β She regretted the words as soon as she said them. She was surprised she didnβt choke on her own advice. She kept everything bottled up, she wasnβt exactly trusting and she didnβt want to burden anyone else with her problems. βI just would hate to see you get hurt and it would kill Chase.β She frowned gently.
She sighed as her cell phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out rolling her eyes when she saw a text from her mother. βOf courseβ she mumbled under her breath, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes. Before opening them back up seeing the time. She hadnβt realized how late it had gotten.
βShitβ she said tucking her cell phone back in her pocket and pulling out her note book, jotting something down quickly. Folding it over once and handing it to Jordan.
βI have to get to work.β She smiled as she headed over to where Chase laid giving him a soft kick, then giving him a playful smile waving by. Before quickly taking two steps at a time as she climbed down the latter, running to the school parking lot and getting into her car. She wanted to beat the traffic.
Keep your head up there will be better days.

Jordan looked up and watched Rome leave. She can't believe that she had just cried in front of some girl that was from the crowd of stuck up bitches. "Why?" She said to herself as she looked to the sky. She quickly wiped away her tears before Chase could see that she was crying. Chase, that idiot, hadn't even noticed at all what was going on, but that was a good thing in Jordan's eyes at the moment.Β
She stood up and walked over to where Chase was now sitting in the middle of the roof. "What'd I miss?" Chase asked Jordan, looking a bit confused about what just happened. Jordan gave a small sweet smile to his confused look. "Nothing, just some aliens came and abducted some stray cats from the ally." She said as with a smile and a slightly sarcastic voice. "Really?! And I missed it?!" Chase said, smiling. "No." Jordan replied, shaking her head a little and smiling. Then she leaned her head on his shoulder.Β
"Wait. Where did Rome say she had to go?" Chase said, feeling very out of it. "Work." Jordan replied, her head still leaning on Chases shoulder. "Did we ever eat lunch?" Jordan added. She was starting to get hungry. "No, I don't think so. Let's retract. We were in the cafeteria, we didn't get any food because no one was hungry at that moment and there was too long of a line. Then, you said we should ditch, so we all came out here." Chases said, remembering what had happened before they had ditched. "So we never had lunch." Jordan asked again, not really listening to what Chase had said. "No." He said clearly like a robot. "Let's go down to the diner and get some food." Jordan said, patting Chases stomach twice then standing up and walking to the fire escape. "Okay let's go." Chase said, stand up and jumping on to the fire escape. Chase didn't have a car like most students. Nope. He had a Harley-Davison Motorcycle Jordan didn't have a car because she couldn't afford one. She she just got rides from Chase or walked places.
So, Chase and Jordan went down and got on Chases motorcycle. Chase always hade two helmets with him. A black helmet with red flames that say Cee in flame letters, and a bright pink one that has little prints of Oreo cookies all over it that says Jay in sliver letters with black tented shadows for the letters. Yeah, pretty rad.

Freya smiled and waved at Rome, a friend of hers before the girl left the cafeteria. Talking to her old friends was bliss, at least in Freya's opinion. She truly missed them, considering that after her graduation everyone went their own way. Those were the people who stuck with her through everything, starting from her battle with anorexia and fighting with her mum about pageants to anything else like boy troubles or photography contests. It was nice to see them again.
She heard someone calling her name and turned, to see no one other but Shawn Falkner. "Man, it's only been a year but it feels like a lifetime huh? How have you been? Still taking pictures I see." He said, grinning at her.
Freya smiled sincerely. "Hey there Shawn," She said. She knew him for years and he was another friend that stuck with her through thick and thin. She used to have an on and off crush on him for years, which stopped after graduation. However seeing him again still gave her butterflies in her stomach. "Yeah, you know that I won't stop taking pictures, ever." She noticed that he was covered in car grease and giggled, realising that it was the reason why he paused when he went to hug her. Moving her camera so it won't get dirty, she hugged Shawn tightly. "What's with the car grease, you've been working at the garage or something?" Freya laughed.
Bored out of his mind, Andy mindlessly walked through the town. He found himself in the park, remembering that Freya said that she might be there for a couple of hours. He decided that he might as well find her and annoy his little sister for a while.
After about fifteen minutes of not being able to find Freya, Andy noticed a girl sat on a park bench with a guitar. She was playing and singing some song unknown to Andy, he was more of a fan of foreign music than anything sang in English so it wasn't a surprise. The girl was quite good, not perfect, but good. She was young, probably his sister's age and Andy thought that she had some guts to sing in public. Andy was familiar to music and a trained voice - his father had an obsession with music, so he could tell that her voice was not trained. Yet, it was nice to the ear and he enjoyed listening to it. She had talent for sure.
"Nice voice," Andy commented, talking to her."What's the song called? I never heard it."
