"Life's pretty good, and why wouldn't it be? I'm a pirate, after all."

a character in “Living a Life of Piracy!”, as played by Sameshitdifferentday

Name: Kristopher Bevrande
Age: Kristopher thinks he's about 20.
Ship Member of: The Dark Avenger*
Captain: Alexander Ngor*
Role: *

Appearance: Kristopher stands at about 6' 4", and weighs a bit over 200lbs. He has an athletic build, from years of fighting. He almost never wears a shirt, and wears the same pants and cloth boots just about every day. He has a black bandanna covering his forehead, with graying hair poking out. When he was young, his hair used to be jet black, but over the years, it has gotten lighter and lighter, matching his cloudy eyes. He also has two loop ear rings in his left ear. He has a long, vivid scar running from his left chest to his right waistline, which he got from a nasty bar fight. He also has another scar on his left forearm, which Kristopher reckons he got somehow when he was drunk. On his right hand, he has a double banded sterling silver ring.

Kristopher is a sarcastic, loud mouth, slob. He almost always has a witty comment for every situation. He takes almost nothing seriously, and thinks everything is just a game. He used to earn money by fighting and taking parts of the bets, and sometimes he would just mug people. His years of fighting has made him superior in hand-to-hand combat. Although he doesn't feel this life is too bad, he'd like to do something more with his petty life. His hometown was near the sea, and he always used to watch the sailors port in and out on their ships. He'd never really thought about becoming a pirate, though, until he heard that a crew called "The Dark Avenger" was recruiting.

Kristopher's mother passed away, giving birth to him, and his father wasn't a total drunk. They lived in a small hut, kind of away from a town, called Sophleton, near the sea. Every couple of months or so, his father would take him to the town and they'd see what all was going on. His father would also sell the skins of the animals he hunted back home, so he could earn some money to provide for himself and Kristopher. When Kristopher was about 13, they went to town, just like any other time. Now, every time they went to town, his father would go into the local tavern and purchase some ale to tide him over until they returned to town. He would always tell his son to wait outside and make sure nobody stole their belongings. The last time Kristopher saw his father was outside that bar. He waited for hours before finally going inside to look for him. When the barkeep saw him, he told him to leave. Kristopher tried to ask where his father was, but the bartender had already shoved him out. By that time, his stuff was gone. Kristopher went back to the hut, hoping his father had gotten drunk and forgot about Kristopher and stumbled on home, but he wasn't there. Staying there for about one more year, before having spent all of the last bit of money his father had left, Kristopher set off. Past Sophleton, and past many other towns, begging and stealing money, until at about age 17, he arrived at another sea side village. There, he has resided, earning money from fight bets and mugging people. He purchased all his equipment he has now. He also has quite a reputation within the town-- Not a very good one, having been thrown in jail numerous times. But his cheery attitude, and ability to talk to ladies easily, he has gained plenty of friends.

So begins...
