a character in “Living in the Limelight”, as played by Celedia

Groups

Technical brutal death metal band reminiscent of Suffocation and Cryptopsy. Led by a certified psychotic. Everybody is an alcoholic.

Description

Full Name:
Edei (pronounced Eee-Dee) Delanore

Stage Name:
Edei, sheā€™s not very creative. On her stuff she always shortens it to the letters ā€œEDā€.

Age:
24

Birthday:
January 8th, 1988

Appearance:
Edei is, if nothing else, an individual... Just like everyone else, right? She rarely wears any colors other than black/red/blue, usually mixing up styles and wearing her steel-toed boots with everything from frilly dresses to corset tops and leather pants. She dyed her naturally blond hair an unnatural shade of black and wears heavy eyeliner, dark eyeshadow and either deep red or black lipstick. Her pale features are accentuated or perhaps, overshadowed by the makeup and she has a plethora of piercings. Four hoops are looped through each earlobe, an industrial piercing in her right ear, an eyebrow piercing through her left brow, a labret piercing and two separate tongue studs as well as a ton of tattoos. Sheā€™s surprisingly tiny, standing at a whopping 5ā€™2ā€ tall and has a lithe build with a bit of muscle from lugging her equipment around.

Image

Role:
Psychosis (Band 1)- Bassist

Musical Style:
Her style has grown over the years and sheā€™s been influenced by everything from The Offspring to Amon Amarth. In Flames to Journey. She tends to zone out a bit when sheā€™s playing, one of those musicians that likes to feel the music sheā€™s playing rather than force it. Give her a good drummer to work off of and you can layer any sound you want over her.

Influences are: Lemmy of Motƶrhead, Cliff Burton of Metallica, Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, and many more.

Instruments:
Primary: Custom-made Neil Moser Arachnid Ultra Bass!
Image

Backup: B.C. Rich Widow WMD Bass
Image

Personality:
Edeiā€™s a jokester and never takes anything too seriously, which tends to piss people off. Sheā€™s learned that everything you have can be gone in less than a second but that doesnā€™t stop her from living life to the fullest. Social and friendly, she tends to be one of those people that you either love or hate. Depending on her mood, sheā€™ll either speak her mind or allow others to lead the way and she tends to be more bossy than not.

In short, she is never emotionally stable which isnā€™t helped by her love of alcohol. Thankfully she has never touched drugs or else she would probably be worse off than she already is. Her friendships, true friendships are few and far between whereas her acquaintances are many. Sheā€™s one of those people that can roll into a new town and by nightfall sheā€™ll be able to tell you the best places to eat, what local bar has the best beer and possibly have an invitation or three to a party somewhere. Her loyalties are fluid, always changing and never stable though when she does find someone worth sticking with, sheā€™s stuck for good. In fact, she still has monthly video chats with some of the people from high school that dragged her into the music scene.

Edei has a habit of never keeping still. If sheā€™s bored or restless her leg bounces or her fingers tap repetitively upon any nearby surface. Her eye twitches when sheā€™s stressed and she tends to find new catch phrases and then use them to death. Oh, and she threatens to stab people quite frequently but donā€™t worry. She doesnā€™t usually mean it.

Biography:
She used to actually be a Disney-loving all-American cheerleader-esque girl until one day in high school she suddenly fell out of the ā€˜popularā€™ crowd after a football star started spreading rumors around about her. Her popularity declined and the only friends that stuck around were more or less outsiders. Guys and girls that didnā€™t give a shit what anyone else thought about them and they had no extracurricular activities aside from jamming out in garages. It was at these jam sessions that she learned how to play a few instruments and her musical influences shifted from Top 40 to punk, rock, and metal.

A few of the bass players in the group noticed that she had a knack for the instrument and they were accepting of her at that point so they took her under their wing, showing her that heartbreak and agony could be used to fuel her music instead of dragging her down. As soon as she graduated from high school, she stuck with the scene during college where she went for a full four years to get her degree in Marketing, a ā€˜fall backā€™ plan just in case her love for music didnā€™t grant her a paycheck.

All throughout college and even after, she was in a string of bands and even hooked up with a local studio to set up as a studio musician but she never really tried to make it big. In fact, she didnā€™t even really try to become a part of Psychosis either. For Edei, it was just another studio gig, a chance to fill in for failed bassist number eight hundred or whatever they were up to now. Although instead of ending the session and parting ways, she was informed that she was the new bassist and to show up again at the next session while Izzie thrust a phone number into her hand. Turns out, it was actually Izzieā€™s cell number and she wasnā€™t bullshitting her. Never one to question a random stroke of luck, Edei showed up at the next practice and has been hanging around ever since.

Edeiā€™s attitude towards Psychosis was eerily relaxed considering the way that they flew through bassists. Rumors abound and if she were to believe any of them she was either bassist number 7 or number 213. Most of them kicked out and a few of them simply leaving because of ā€˜irreconcilable differencesā€™ with the band. Sounded like divorce. The only way she would stay sane was to take it one day at a time and enjoy it while it lasted.

It was a pretty lax way of handling it but then again how many people got to live out their dream? Sheā€™d take playing music in any form, even if she was just a back up or studio bassist and despite all the bios written about the band, she had to admit that she was beginning to like most of them. Sure, Izzie was a hard ass at times but she was passionate about what they did. Craig was thankful to be in Psychosis and tried desperately to please everyone enough to retain his position- something that Edei should emulate if she didnā€™t want to be seen as a slacker. And Cormac wasā€¦ Well, Cormac. Irish to the bone, stereotypical, but then again these were all just basic impressions. Itā€™s not like the band had hung out a bunch outside of the random sessions she had been to so she didnā€™t know any of them that well.

And that was about to change. Stick anyone in a cramped room for hours a day and everyone would get to know each other real well. Something that would probably be made worse by the fact that another band was going to be jammed into the same cramped quarters with them. Watch, with their luck it was going to be some goddamn pop group or something. Or worse, a group that had history with those in Psychosis which would mean fireworks. A metric fuckton of fireworks.

Yet, as stated before, Edei wasnā€™t the type to let things get to her. She had a more easy going approach to life, most of the times and currently she was strolling down the street towards the studio. Her apartment was less than a half a mile away from the joint so she wasnā€™t going to waste the gas to drive over. Though heaven knows what anyone wouldā€™ve thought of the petite woman clad entirely in black with her raven-hued hair falling loose around pale shoulders, lugging a case that was almost as big as she was.

A burgundy hoodie thrown over a lace-front corset top over black pleather pants tucked into knee high boots was her outfit of choice and tucked into her ears were a pair of bright red earbuds, the noise emanating from them just loud enough that anyone passing by would be able to hear the faintest hint of music. Not like theyā€™d need it though, Edei was doing a pretty damn good job of belting it out for everyone to hear.

ā€œIn life I have no religion, Besides the heavy metal gods! Wear nothing but black skintight leather! My skin is clad with metal studs!ā€ As she walked, the backpack-style straps of the case slung over her shoulders, she used her free hands to play a mean air guitar before continuing on, ā€œAm I a wannabe? Have I no dignity? Iā€™d give up all my life to beeeeeeeā€¦..ā€ A brief pause and a serious look crossed over her face before she belted out, ā€œIN THE BOOK OF HEAVY METAL!ā€

Still singing along, though using a dramatically lower volume, Edei caught sight of one of her bandmates climbing the stairs towards the studio and with a practiced hand she deftly pulled the buds from her ears. Just in time to catch the tail end of Izzieā€™s comment to herself.

ā€ā€¦.and the jackasses are still fuckin' with me,"

Her pierced brow arched momentarily and then a grin swept over her painted lips as she chimed in. ā€œYeah! Jackasses!ā€ Her fingers worked to coil the cord and stuff it into the pocket of her hoodie as she approached the steps as well. ā€Punch ā€˜em in the throat and show ā€˜em whoā€™s boss!ā€ She had no idea who or what they were talking about but violence was always an acceptable reaction.

During the next few minutes, Edei remained completely silent which was a surprise. Usually she wasnā€™t one that would shut up easily but too much was going on at once. Izzie was ranting in a mixture of Spanish, English and quite possibly another language or four. More people showed up which seemed to exacerbate the situation instead of making it better. In fact, her only communication other than the stunned and slightly amused look on her face was a brief nod and a ā€˜Heyaā€™ to Craig and Cormac as they approached.

Another door slammed and everyoneā€™s head turned towards the sound- a girl who Edei honestly first pegged as either a girlfriend or groupie. If anyone other than Izzie had bothered to speak out loud about how the blonde didnā€™t look like she belonged, she mightā€™ve agreed but she didnā€™t want to get Izzie going again. Lord knows that they probably wouldnā€™t be playing for like, an hour now as it was. There was probably going to be more angry yelling and quite possibly some violence depending on how the rest of the morning went.

To break the tension, as the blonde approached, Edei let out a wolf whistle, grinned, and then ducked inside the studio as ā€˜Cormyā€™ and the hot chick proceeded to start chattering. Seemed like everyone knew everyone else in this damned band because as soon as she caught up to Izzie, the towering woman began to rant and rave again. This time overā€¦.

Edei peeked her head around Izzie for a moment to see who or what had drawn her attention this time. Unfamiliar, which meant the guy was probably a member of this Cor Leonis group and a sudden grin swept Edeiā€™s face as she silently made fun of herself.

Brilliant deduction skills, detective! But she obviously kept the comment to herself, not wanting Izzieā€™s bad mood to erupt in her direction for any reason today. For Godā€™s sake, she wished she knew some sort of soother for Izzie. Everyone had a weakness that could be exploited so that their mood changed for the better. For some people it was coffee, some people it was as odd as a piece of candy, others it was as simple as a hugā€¦.

She peered up at Izzie and laughter escaped her lips. The thought of someone bear-hugging Izzie into a better mood was hilarious! Maybe if they got in tight and held on like a cowboy at a rodeo, it could work. She might tire herself out before she got them away and itā€™s harder to punch things that at clasped around your midsectionā€¦.

Oh, the thought amused Edei and the laughter switched to a snicker then faded to silence as soon as she realized that she had laughed out loud. ā€œIā€™m going toā€¦ā€ She jerked a thumb towards the door and then backtracked, her steps taking her back towards the rest of the band and away from Izzie and the dude for Cor Leonis. Looked like they had shit to work outā€¦ She told herself and then grumbled, ā€œI need a goddamn drink alreadyā€¦ā€

The case he was carrying seemed to get heavier and heavier with every step he took, but Victor just kept walking. "This is my last chance, isn't it?" His fingers ran through his hair as he brushed it out of his face. He wasn't talking to anyone, but in order for him to remember his thoughts, he had a habit of speaking out loud. Some people found it weird when they were close to him and could hear it, but Victor tried to do it as discretely as possible. Sometimes he just forgot though. The cars that were passing by, the people that were walking or running past him were nonexisting to Victor. He was walking in his own little world, wondering what was going to become of him. This really was his last shot at life, going to this studio and hoping to be something else than a homeless, recovering drug addict. You'd never suspect it of Victor, that he had used drugs, because of his gentle and kind nature. His life had just fallen apart, and that had broken him. He looked up ahead briefly to get his bearings, realizing that he was on the right track and new that he should turn right up ahead. "If I have to be honest... I don't know what the hell to do if this fails." His voice sounded, though inaudible from the noise of his surroundings. And he didn't. Victor didn't have the energy to go somewhere and ask for help. That was his problem. He couldn't ask for help, even though other people could easily see that he needed it.

The road wasn't very long, up to the studio where the ad in the paper had told him to go. There was no hope to be found in his heart, or in his mind. Victor was sure that they would laugh at him and tell him to fuck off, and he already felt a little embarrassed because he'd actually thought it would work - if even just for a brief moment. He looked up again. "What if they laugh and tell me I'm worthless?" He asked himself, frowning as a lock of dark hair dangled in front of his eyes. "Well, it's your best bet. It can't get any worse than it already is." That was motivation enough. Granted, it was unrealistic that the musicians at the studio would even think about giving him an audition, but anything would beat living on the streets. Plus, Victor was good at playing his instrument. As he came closer, the dark haired Irishman started to hesitate. He neared the studio but doubt crept up on him like a cold shadow. "Fuck it, come on!" Victor said to himself, a little louder than before. He grasped harder around the handle of the case that held his Gibson Thunderbird, taking determined steps towards the door of the studio. There were nice cars parked outside (though Victor Holden didn't know anything about cars. Or cared for that matter), but he didn't really see them.

Hi, I'm Victor. I saw that thing in the paper and I thought you might...No, that won't work. He frowned again and shook his head, almost at the door. Victor didn't notice anything or anyone as he was focused on what exactly he should say once he had knocked the door. Hi, I'm a homeless guy who wants to be in your band, how's that? He stopped, turned a little and almost started walking back to where he came from. Eyes closed, breathing steady, Victor forced himself to go on and take the chance. What if something did happen? That might pull him out of the pit he was in right now. "Fuck it." His knuckled rapped against the door and he took a step back, feeling himself calm down a little as he waited for someone to answer it. "Here goes nothing." Victor set the case down on the ground, holding it with one hand. His mind raced through possibilities of what to say, thinking that his situation right now was pretty unusual. At least he didn't look like he'd just come off the streets. And he didn't have to tell them that he was homeless, unless they asked. Victor had a little stubble on his face, but he was clean and his hair wasn't greasy. Well... Not that much. "Man, I wish Edei was here."

Edei hadnā€™t run out of the studio yet, which was surprising considering how well she seemed to deal with drama in general. The others had funneled into the studio from outside, though, which didnā€™t really give her a good reason to head outside so she stuck around, peeking her head around to survey the sudden influx of people.

Once again, an amused grin slid over her lips as she studied those surrounding her. If she were shooting a cover for ā€˜Hottest People in Musicā€™, she would probably choose this crew. Well, if she could convince Izzie to wipe the scowl off of her face for five minutes or so, though she had to admit that the band leader looked more bad ass when she was pissed.

"I guess I should introduce myself. Edward Marubini, guitarist and now-singer of Cor Leonis, alias Edward Sturm. You can call me Ted."

ā€œNice to meetcha, Ted.ā€ She called out, not wanting to tick off anyone but not wanting to be rude and she pointed towards herself.

ā€œNameā€™s Edei.ā€

A couple of people chimed in, agreeing with her decision to go drinking and before she could gesture towards the door and say Well then, letā€™s go! I know this bar owner down the streetā€¦ a knock came upon the door leading into the studio.

ā€œIā€™ll go get that!ā€ She exclaimed, calling dibs on an excuse to leave the hostile environment before anyone else could speak up and she almost tripped over the hot chick that had settled herself onto the floor.

ā€œOops, sorry.ā€ She apologized on her way out, taking careful steps this time around and with a quick tug, the door flew open and she peered at the source of the noise- a man who was apparently talking to his self.

ā€ā€¦ was here."

She cocked a brow, looking around the outside just to make sure that he wasnā€™t talking to anyone else before her gaze settled upon him. Tall, dark and handsome. Not a surprise, it seemed most musicians were. But more than that, this guy seemed familiar. Edei peered at Victor intently for a few moments before her jaw dropped in recognition. He was older, a bit of stubble on his chin but otherwise he looked the same as he had a few years ago when they last saw each other.

ā€œVIC?!ā€ She exclaimed, barely giving him a chance to respond before the petite bass player launched herself at him. Her slender arms wrapping around his neck tightly, which forced him to either pick her up or lean down because of their height differences. Time and time again, she had tried to contact him but heā€™d seemingly cut himself off from everyone. She didnā€™t even know he was alive, until now.

ā€œHow in the hell have you been? WHERE have you been?ā€

Ted put his head in his hands. "Christ, don't tell me they booked this place for three! Or is Psychosis a quintet? Or do we just have a trespasser?" He wouldn't normally be this...prickly, but he was a bit annoyed right now. There was still no response for his call for bassists, he was going to be sharing a studio with the most volatile guitarist since Dave Mustaine, and now this...person, at the door. What on Earth did he want? Was he visiting Edei? Was he confused? Or was he part of a third band?

Ted had no idea of the answers to any of these, and if there was one thing he hated, it was not having a single damn clue what was going on. What was he to do? Why, ask, of course. He stepped around Bey to the door. "It seems you and...Edei...know each other," he said carefully to the new arrival. He glanced down and noticed a long case. Too long for even a guitar. Was it even possible? "Are...are you with Psychosis? Or are you here about the advertisement for a bassist?" Ted glanced back over to Charlotte and Bey, then back to the newcomer. He seemed unaffiliated with the other band, so it was possible. Before he could get a response, Ted walked over to his two bandmates. "Alright, ladies," he announced, hating how pimp-like it sounded, but having no other real way to address them, "I think we might have someone new. I'm going to talk to him; I want you two to start warming up. If he's here to audition I'm going to ask for a full band rehearsal. We'll do some jamming, maybe run through some songs from the first album with him. Cool?"

Victor leaned down as the girl who had opened the door launched herself at him. He hadn't expected it at all, and she had taken him by surprise. What the he- He thought and looked confused as she asked him questions. It took a few moments before he actually understood what she said. Her voice sounded familiar, but he couldn't place it. It rang a bell somewhere in a dusty corner of his mind, and slowly it came back to him. At first, Victor refused to believe it. It simply couldn't be that life had taken him back to her after all these years, and after what he had done. Victor had cut all connections and not even let her know that he was still alive. His life had fallen apart, yes, but the least he could have done was let Edei know he was still there. "E-Edei?" He stammered and let her go, still with his hands on her shoulders though. Victor just looked at her with a strange expression. Now that he actually looked at her, the girl he'd known back then looked the same. Edei looked more like a woman now, though she was still small, but other than that he could easily recognize her from high school.

"I'm here for the bass... Thing." His eyes moved from Edei to the man in the door, and a vague smile found it's way to his face. Wait.. That means... His clothes, his looks, his personality. There was no way they would even consider to let him play, but apparently it didn't matter what you looked like. In a matter of seconds, his life had taken a turn. Seemingly for the better. The man in the door walked over to two girls and talked to them, which left Victor with a strange feeling. He had asked him two questions, and then left. And Edei was there. She was actually there, within arms reach! "Edei, I'm...." He was almost tearing up. To have the only person he actually missed from back then, stand in front of him after such a long time, was incredible. He only hoped that she wasn't mad at him for the way he had disappeared. "I'm sorry." That felt like the right thing to say. It was, wasn't it?

Head spinning and feeling dizzy, those were the effects of all this. Victor couldn't believe that Edei was there and that he maybe had a chance to play with Cor Leonis. Furthermore, he wanted to talk to Edei more than he wanted to rehearse right now, but playing with these guys was his last shot at life as far as he was concerned. Victor's grey-ish eyes moved back to Edei's, but he didn't know what to say. Part of him wished that she would hug him again, and another wished that she would slap him across the face for the way he'd left. The homeless, hopefully soon to be bassist of Cor Leonis swallowed hard, trying to push emotions away. He had to stay calm right now, if that was possible at all.

What a weird fucking day.

That was the first thought that flowed through Edeiā€™s mind after she stepped back from hugging Vic, her smile faltering briefly as he mumbled an apology before being swept away by Ted. Being pint-sized, she was used to being overlooked but she also didnā€™t want to assert her presence if her old friend really was here for the bassist position. He was damn good at what he did and if she just stepped back and let him play, he would bag the spot in Cor Leonis easily.

Reaching over, she captured his hand and squeezed it gently, it smile growing into a grin as she inclined her head towards Ted. ā€œGood luck with the bassā€¦ Thing.ā€ She mocked him lightly, letting out another soft bout of laughter before breaking away from the two guys and wandering back over towards where Izzie and Craig were standing.

ā€œSo, we going to start up too? Or did you really want me to go grab a fifth of something to make today easier to handle?ā€ She kept her tone playful and light, trying not to piss off Izzie anymore than necessary but on the other hand... Well, Izzie was incredibly easy to piss off. Dragging her lower lip between her teeth, Edei tried to hold back amused laughter at Izzieā€™s infuriated countenance. ā€œIf it helps, I donā€™t know Sweet Cheeks either.ā€

Casting a quick, conspiratorial wink at Craig, she wandered back towards her hard case so that she could drag it to whichever room they moved into, her eyes drifting for just a moment towards Vic to see how he was holding up.

Victor laughed a little nervously at what Edei said, watching her leave and go to her bandmates. Apprently they were going to play as well. The homeless and hopeless man tilted his head and wondered how any people they could fit in the studio. Victor had no idea of how big the place was. It was a bitch of a dilemma he was in, to be honest. It was almost impossible not to go after Edei and just pull her into another embrace, and just sit down and talk. Then there was the band thing, which was probably Victor Holden's only shot at getting somewhere. Somewhere better. Save your own life first, then catch up with Edei. His mind went and forced him to snap out of the trance-like state of mind he was in. So many thoughts in so little time made his head spin, though Ted's words came through. It took a moment before he answered the man, and Victor looked around at the people that were there. It was clear that he wasn't used to this and that he was nervous, but the man remained where he was and let his gaze fall back to Ted.

Since when does a band have a leader? The idea was a little strange to him and he wondered what he really meant by leader. Did that mean that Ted made all the decisions or was he open to suggestions. Victor had always found that it made a band work much better if every member was allowed to say their part. Pushing that aside as he didn't even know how rehearsal was going to go, and frankly, Victor didn't have his hopes up. When the man held out his hand in greeting as they had stepped inside, Victor looked at it for a second and then patted him on the shoulder instead and smiled slightly. "I'm Victor." He said simply, not really wanting to shake Ted's hand. It was nice that he was polite, but Victor knew what he looked and smelled like. If I was him, I wouldn't shake my hand. I wouldn't touch me at all. That thought brought a smile to his face although it was quite sad to think of the reason why. A bath, new clothes and a shave. He would die for that. But he had no home and no money for clothes nor a shave.

It was impossible not to look around though his eyes never met anyone else's. When the circumstances were brought into consideration, added to the fact that Victor was a little shy, looking someone directly in the eyes wasn't exactly a comfortable thought. It'd be a lie to deny that he was scared if they would judge him. "Hmm?" Victor looked at Ted and tried to figure out how to word his next sentence. "I'm... Quite familiar." He said and shrugged, already feeling like an idiot. "I can play." Although the words trust me came to mind, Victor didn't say it. He wouldn't ask that of anyone. "I... I guess there's only one way to find out? What kind of amp do you have?" It was clear that it was an attempt to lead the subject of discussion somewhere else. Every single time he'd been asked about his playing or how familiar he was with something, he felt like a fool. Part of his inability to explain himself properly. "If you say Orange AD-200, I'll fall over." For the first time so far, Victor gave one of his crooked smiles. Whatever this was going to end up with, he was at least going to be playing some bass. Hopefully with a good amp as well.

She shouldā€™ve phrased her requests a little more clearly and not back to back because Izzieā€™s "Yes." Didnā€™t really help clarify anything for Edei. Yes, she wanted to get started or yes she wanted a bottle of booze? Being the type of person that she was, Edei took it as an affirmation of the latter question. Booze, it is!

ā€œAye aye, Capā€™n!ā€ Edei responded and in a move that she hoped wouldnā€™t get her fired anytime soon, she smacked the lead singerā€™s ass and instantly shot out of reach. Craig asked her a question next, his fingertips landing softly upon her shoulder, attracting her attention.

"Hey, where do you know that guy from anyway?"

ā€œFollow me and Iā€™ll fill you in on the story!ā€ She cast a quick glance back at Izzie and laughed before starting to move once again. Lord help her if she ended up on Izzieā€™s shit list but the other woman was just so incredibly fun to mess with. Resting her hard case back against one of the walls, she raised her hand, gesturing towards the door in a universal follow me signal and as Craig shuffled through the studio beside her she began her short story.

ā€œVic and I met back in high school- a large, horrible public school with all of the cliques and whatnot. I sort of fell out of my circle of friends and into his.ā€ She jerked a thumb back towards the room where the rest of them were as she pushed open the front door so they could make their way out onto the street. The bar that she had spoken about earlier was only a block or two away and though it wasnā€™t technically open this early in the morning, the owner lived right upstairs and Edei knew him well enough to go pounding on his door for some discounted liquor.

ā€œAnyway, he ran with the crowd that jammed out in basements and whatnot. Heā€™s the one that taught me the drums and bass though I stuck with the bass because it doesnā€™t involve as much flailing around as the drums do.ā€ Laughter fell from her lips then and she cast a sideways look at Craig to see if he was still breathing. Damn, the man was quiet at times. Not that she had known him long enough to make a solid judgment of him, of course, but up until now he had barely spoken a full paragraph in front of her.

ā€œSo what about you? Whenā€™d you pick up your first guitar?ā€

Edei laughed at Craigā€™s Rock Band admission and made one of her own. ā€œI have to tell ya that I can only play that game on easy, no joke. I blame it on the bright, flashy, distracting colors that whiz by at a mile a minute.ā€ Casting a quick sideways glance at the guitarist as they neared the run down brick building which housed the Winnerā€™s Circle bar, her face lit with a quick grin and she tacked on, ā€œIā€™ll blame it on my A.D.D.ā€

Instead of marching to the front door, which was quite obviously closed and locked with steel bars blocking the darkened windows, Edei curved a path around the building where a fire escape led to a second level.

Speaking of A.D.Dā€¦.

ā€œYou think Izzieā€™s going to murder me when we get back?ā€

A snicker left her lips as she pulled at the chain to lower the metal staircase and she sprung onto the bottom step as soon as it was within reach so that her weight could lock it in place. Ascending quickly, as if she had done this a dozen times before, Edei wandered to the nearest window and rapped a fist upon it rapidly.

ā€œAYE! Z!ā€ Edei yelled, shielding the sun from her eyes with a hand raised over her brow so that she could peer within the window to see if there was any movement.

ā€œGet your ass up! We need some stuff!ā€

A minute passed, then two, until a partially-clad bearded man with shadowed eyes unlocked and slid open the window for them.

ā€œWhat in the hell do you want this early, Edei? Fuckinā€™ ā€˜ell. I just rolled into bedā€¦ā€ He stared up at the clock hung upon the wall, moving back a few steps to allow the two band mates into his apartment. ā€œAn hour ago? Shit. Get whatcha need and get outta here. Iā€™ll tack it on with everything else ya owe me. Keep this up and youā€™re going to owe me a shift at the bar with all your tips.ā€

Edei swung in first, her petite frame easily slipping through the rickety window and the moment her feet touched the floor, she was already off in the direction of another door. As she passed by the large Queen-sized bed, a blonde stirred from beneath the covers and peered quizzically at the source of all of the noise.

ā€œThanks, Z!ā€ She called out, tossing open the door that led from Zā€™s apartment to the bar downstairs and she waved Craig over, afraid that he was going to double back and run for it.

ā€œOh and Z, meet Craig. Craig, Z.ā€ She had no idea who the chick was so she wasnā€™t about to even attempt introductions there, better to ignore the blonde so they could go grab the alcohol and get back to Izzie and Cormy before they lit the studio on fire.

Taking the steps two at a time, Edei made her way down the steps and flicked on a light switch which slightly illuminated the bar as they entered. Dim lights were supposed to be some sort of ambience but Edei knew the real reason for the Winnerā€™s Circle being so dark was the fact that Z was too damn cheap to buy more than a handful of bulbs every year. If one blew out, fuck it. Heā€™d replace it when people were crashing into each other or breaking shit but not a moment before then.

ā€œWhat does the boss lady like? You know?ā€

Edei made her way behind the counter, picking up a few unopened bottles and setting them up on the marred wooden surface.

ā€œWell, I have no idea what Izzie or Cormac prefer so Iā€™ll grab Jack, Jameson and Joseā€¦ā€ She spoke as she plucked bottles of the Jack Daniels, Jameson whiskey and Jose Cuervo from the shelving behind the bar, tucking them beneath her arm as she moved out from behind the counter and headed towards the back wall. There was a silver door with a large handle and she tugged it with her free hand, balancing her liquor against her hip. A large walk-in fridge was revealed since she assumed Craig was more of an American beer drinker than a German beer drinker, meaning he preferred it icy instead of warm. With a swift gesture, she motioned him over and pointed to the cases of beer stacked upon each other.

ā€œGrab whatever you want, muscles, and letā€™s go! I donā€™t want to piss off Izzie by taking our time shopping.ā€ Though she probably should be terrified of the lead singerā€™s reaction to everything she had done thus far, Edei couldnā€™t help but grin. Life hadnā€™t been dull in the short amount of time since she had joined Psychosis that was for sure.

Rounding her way around the tables until she was near the stairs once more, Edei shouted at Z to thank him for the goods and surprisingly she didnā€™t go out the same way they had come in. Instead, she cut a path straight towards the front door, wrenching it open and holding it for Craig so they could make their grand escape back to the recording studio.

More to herself than to Craig, she inquired out loud, ā€œAre we alcoholics if weā€™re drinking this early? I mean, seriously. Iā€™ve had drinks at this specific time before but it was usually when I was winding down instead of just getting started.ā€

A frown set upon her lips as she maneuvered the three glass bottles in her arms again, trying to make sure that none of them shattered upon the ground as she shut the door to the bar behind them and began walking.

It didnā€™t take them long to make their way back to the studio and Edeiā€™s ears were immediately greeted with music that was both aggressive and powerful and she practically sprinted ahead so that she could get back to the band.

Knowing she wouldnā€™t be heard over the music, she simply held up the liquor in her hands and then bowed both deeply and dramatically towards Izzie. The trio of bottles was then set down onto the nearest flat surface so that Edei could wander off and grab her bass to set up the ā€˜jam sessionā€™.

Everytime that Edei played with these three, she was impressed. Though she had started with them on songs that were already hammered out into perfection, the longer she stuck around showed her that they were more than they seemed. Izzie was quite literally a demon with her guitar, looking half possessed with the way that she played but no one could deny that the shit that blasted through the room was intense and bordering on epic. Craig and Cormy easily kept up with her and when Edei finally joined in with her bass, she too had high hopes for the band.

Perhaps they could play some live shows or something. Edei always did enjoy the energy of a crowd and if they hit up a few venues it would draw out their creativity for the studio. A win-win situation in her mind and perhaps it would also take away Izzieā€™s tension/anger about playing in the same studio as her friend/arch-nemesisā€¦ Whatever the Ted guy was to her.

With the impromptu ā€˜jamā€™ session coming to an end, everyone began to go after the alcohol that she and Craig had scooped up from Zā€™s place and the ensuing conversation had her lips tilting into an honest grin.

ā€œI only smell like whorehouses on Sundays. Saturday nights are 2-for-1 specials down there by the docks, yā€™know.ā€ Casting a wink in Izzieā€™s direction, she wrapped her hands around the necks of the two bottles that were left over, Jameson and Jose, and held them out towards Cormy.

ā€œIrish or Mexican? Take your pick,ā€ she offered, overhearing Craigā€™s comment about being kicked out. In reply, she rolled her eyes at the guitarist and stuck her tongue out at him before another bout of laughter rolled from her petite frame.

ā€œCraig, youā€™ve been around longer than I have and Iā€™m going to wildly assume that youā€™re sticking around for the duration. Hope that doesnā€™t ruin any future plans for ya.ā€

Once Cormy had chosen his poison, she popped open her own bottle and took a swig. Alcohol and metal in the morning. What else could anyone ask for?

Edei continually grinned and/or laughed during the conversation that followed and though she didnā€™t say so out loud, Izzieā€™s threats towards her wearing frilly dresses just made her want to do it even more. Internal organs be damned! She could probably run faster than the singer, right? ā€¦Hopefully? These internal musings kept Edei quiet for a few moments as the rest of them talked and she drew back her Jameson from time to time, drawing large amounts of liquor with each pull which could be frightening when considering her weight but she was a seasoned drinker. Perhaps too seasoned and her liver had more than enough practice to let her drink as heavily as she did with without making her knock down, drag out drunk.

The conversation turned back her way for the moment as Cormy asked, "That dude back there your long-lost brother or somethin'?" Her gaze dropped to the bottle in her hand for a moment and a grin stretched her lips while she shook her head. ā€œNo, definitely not a brother.ā€ She began, laughing as she lifted her eyes from the Jameson to Cormy once more. ā€œWe actually met in high schoolā€¦ Heā€™s the one that taught me bass.ā€

What a small world they lived in. Everyone had their own ties to everyone else with Izzie knowing that Ted guy and Cormy chatting up that hot blonde from earlierā€¦ If Vic got a gig with Cor Leonis then maybe they could all tour together! The thought made Edei smirk randomly, which might look a little crazed to anyone paying attention but she shook the idea away, knowing that Izzie would never go for it. Hell, with the way the singer seemed to get along with that Ted guy, she would probably prefer setting Cor Leonis on fire over performing on the same stage as them.

Popping back to the present conversation, though, she shrugged her shoulders and continued on. ā€œHe left abruptly though. Never said bye or anything so it was sort of a shock to see him again.ā€ The whole town, of course, had heard what had happened and it was tragic to say the least. But instead of coming to his friends and seeking comfort, Vic had simply split.

Craig looked over at Edei uncertainly as she spoke, apparently curious about what he wrote. Still, he really wasn't sure he wanted to hand it over quite yet...granted, she probably wouldn't be as severe about it as Izzie would if she didn't like it - hell, he might actually show it to her later if she wanted. The fact his frontwoman even asked was still a shock to him because she very much had her way of doing things - and she didn't want anybody to fuck it up, which he respected. All in all, Craig wanted to stay on Izzie Martinez's good side if possible, which meant he was willing to oblige to what she asked of him in order to keep his place in this band since he quite liked playing for Psychosis. Still, he still thought his pieces needed more work before giving them to someone to review. "Edei, I'm not really sure they're ready..." He said, skeptically but with a small smile despite the fact he felt like the spotlight had just been put on him but he wasn't irritated with the petite bassist in the least for it. "Like I said, it's not done yet." Craig told them, shaking his head. Whenever he had the balls to show Psychosis his work he made damned sure he was content with it because Izzie wasn't exactly the type to encourage him to work at it a bit more if she didn't like it.

As it turned out, Cormy didn't have anything to show either which left Craig the only one with material. Great. He looked over at Izzie and sighed a little. He highly doubted he could talk his way out of this - and that belief was only reinforced as she fixed the young guitarist with one of those looks that had always made him a little uncomfortable. When Izzie began to speak once more though, Craig couldn't help the smirk that crept onto his face. Apparently unable to remember the full quote and if it made sense or not. "Speak now or forever hold your peace." He thought, but dare not as for fear that Izzie would use her guitar as a murder weapon on him. Still, in spite of it Craig wanted to laugh - but he didn't as he had a feeling Izzie wouldn't appreciate it too much. Once she finished, Craig wiped the smirk off his face and nodded once at her. "Right, well...Most of it's some real technical stuff...I've got some riffs I really like." He shrugged as he looked at the group.

Charlotte watched as Ted and the new guy messed around with the piece they had been talking about, overall impressed with the guy so far. She liked what he was doing with it - it was different. Yeah, I think we can work with this guy. She thought, smiling. Not long after that, Vic hit a bad note and Charlotte struggled not to laugh as he swore. Yep, he's definitely Irish. The blonde, shook her head a little in amusement, not at all offended by the profanity. I wonder what he can do with that piece with more time... She thought and then turned her attention to the bassist and smiled. "Why thank you. I quite like you as well." She replied, winking and then looking back over at Ted as he replied to her. Charlotte was glad he seemed to approve of the idea. "Thanks Ted." She said, pleased and eager to show them some of what she had in mind. She moved back to her kit and played a few beats, not really having anything concrete yet since she had wanted to run the idea by Ted first but she had a basic idea and she wanted to show them that. She could fiddle with it later. What she played wasn't quite jazz but it had a pronounced enough influence that it was noticeable, which Charlotte thought could be fun to toy around with.

Edei had quieted down, the occasional twitching of the corner of her mouth proving that she was still listening despite not being an active participant in the conversation at the moment. Though her silence was mostly a form of self preservation. The first words that had been about to slip out of her lips was the correction to Izzieā€™s floundering attempt to recite the old adage Speak now or forever hold your peaceā€¦ Wasnā€™t that from weddings anyway?

Her eyes slid over to the band leader, scrutinizing her for a moment while she continued to pluck away at her bass. She couldnā€™t imagine Izzie going to a wedding quite honestly and what she did imagine brought an even broader grin to her mouth. She cast her eyes down at her fingertips trying to shoo away the image of Izzie decked out in full on bridesmaid gear standing there with a bunch of flowers in her hands. It was almost like imagining Cormy in a dress and she nearly laughed. Biting hard down upon her lower lip, she instead stifled her reaction and just stood there, shaking slightly with the barely contained amusement as her bandmates continued to speak.

Though he seemed to relent slightly, Craig still didnā€™t seem like he was willing to show whatever it was he had been working on so Edei broke the momentary silence by responding to Izzieā€™s earlier comment. Reaching out, she pushed on Cormyā€™s shoulder slightly to gain his attention and then she scoffed indignantly. ā€œYou hear that?! Weā€™re a bunch of pussies! I guess thatā€™s a challenge for us to write the next big Psychosis hit.ā€ Looking back towards Izzie she winked and let a soft, rolling laugh finally escape her small frame.

Charlotte smiled at Ted's reaction to her playing, laughing a little. No, playing in a jazz style wasn't exactly expected from her - she'd almost always played heavy music, only on occasion experimenting with other things and that usually didn't last very long at all. So far she liked where this little experiment was going though and if she wasn't mistaken, so was Ted as he and the new guy played along. The whole thing might turn out rather well if she continued to run with it - she was a bit curious as to what Ted and Victor could come up with as well. Ted then stopped soloing and signaled for them to stop.

Charlotte paused her playing and brushed a blonde curl that had escaped it's bun behind her ear, looking over at Ted to see what he had to say. "So, I assume that means you liked it?" She asked him with a grin before looking over at Victor and nodding at what her frontman said. Victor seemed like a creative guy and she thought that might make working with him quite fun. "You seem creative. I'd like to see what you can come up with." Charlotte told him, before glancing toward the door after Ted, wondering what might be going on. "He's probably trying to find Bey..." She thought, aloud. Hell, she herself wondered where on earth the other girl had gone...She had seen her earlier and she didn't think it would be like Bey to just bail on them like that.

Charlotte couldn't quite catch what was going on and so when Ted reentered the room, she immediately walked toward him, about to ask what it was he'd gone out for when he broke the news. "She what?" Charlotte demanded, her blue eyes wide with surprise. "Why would she do that?" She asked him, unable to understand why Bey would leave. She had been a founding member, after all.

Craig couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought of Psychosis becoming a punk band - he could never imagine Izzie having any of that. "If you ever convert this band to punk, I'm on my way out." He told him, having never been a big fan of punk. He'd had never found it very interesting to play as he quickly became bored with such styles of playing. When Izzie replied, he sighed and nodded once, picking up his axe. Before he could even pick a single note though, the door was thrust open and suddenly, as the young guitarist looked up; the frontman of Cor Leonis was standing in there doorway, looking quite pissed off. Damn... Craig thought in surprise, however as Ted continued to explain, he understood why he was over here. He would be pissed too if one of his members had quit because of something someone had said, but the fact he seemed to have grown enough balls to stand up to Izzie Martinez - was quite shocking. He kind of wanted to pat the guy on the back for it because he didn't exactly know many people who would say that to her. Craig quickly brushed the thought aside however, and was now a little concerned Izzie was going to beat the shit out of the guy and so he took a step forward, watching the Psychosis frontwoman who was now telling Ted off. It seemed he wasn't going to be needed though, he thought, a little surprised as he watched Izzie Martinez's face. What the hell is August 24th of 2006? Craig wondered. She had suddenly gone pale as a ghost, as if what Ted had said made her recall something.

He cocked his head to the side, still looking at Izzie as the Ted guy shut the door (Probably wanting to get out of there before she recovered from her shock) before glancing at his other bandmates, Cormac seeming as clueless as he was about the whole thing. She didn't exactly answer the drummer's question and Craig wasn't entirely sure if that was because she wasn't comfortable sharing or if she just was still in shock. "I have no idea." He told her, still impressed by the fact Ted had the nerve to do that - whatever it was he had on Izzie, it had to be pretty bad to make her react like that. "So, then what the hell is August 24th, 2006?" He asked her, curiously.

Edei had set her bass back down and picked up her trusty bottle of liquor once more. An arched brow and incredulous glance crossing between Izzie and Craig then back again as the two dueled it out over whether or not Craig would play whatever it is he had planned. He seemed pensive but Edei believed in him and Izzie just wanted someone to play something to prove that her momentary benevolence was worthwhile. However the good times ended when Ted pushed his way into the room and began dressing down Izzie like a child in front of her band. A move that Edei didnā€™t think that the man would live through but apparently whatever in the fuck happened on the date that everyone kept repeating was some serious shit. Izzie fell silent and Cormy shot a glance in her direction, which almost made her laugh. How would she know what it was in reference to?! She was the newest member of the band and she barely knew what their fucking last names were much less anything that had happened in their pasts.

So she shrugged when glances were cast her way and another awkward silence fell over the band as they awaited Izzieā€™s response. Dragging her smartphone from her pocket, Edei typed in August 24, 2006 and searched for results, mostly for shits and giggles but it actually landed on something and the petite bass player decided to go with it. If nothing else then to break the tension that had threaded through the band once again.

She held the phone aloft as if offering proof and she scoffed indignantly. ā€œAugust 24th, 2006ā€¦.ā€ Her eyes flashed to Izzie, brow arched as she tried to keep a smile from her lips as she read the article: ā€The International Astronomical Union (IAU) redefines the term "planet" such that Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet.ā€

ā€œFucking really, Izzie? You had a hand in that shit?ā€

Her lips twitched and she sidled over to hide behind anything that might block the lead singer's rampage should the jest be taken in the wrong direction. If she was going to be eviscerated anytime soon, at least she was going to make the woman work for it.

Charlotte couldn't believe that Bey would quit on them like that. Why would Bey quit? She was a large part of the band, a founding member...She had always helped Ted out. It was just as much her band as it was his. All in all Charlotte wouldn't ever think that she would leave. Charlotte cast a glance at Victor, wondering what he was thinking on all of this. So far they hadn't had quite the best welcome - Lack of soundproofing, a loud seemingly angry lot next door to them and now their second guitarist just quit. She wanted to assure him that they were usually much more put together but just then Ted explained what he thought had happened. The huge Psychosis singer? That's what brought this on? Charlotte groaned and rubbed her temples. "Really? God, I had hoped she was just loud." She said, shaking her head. She would have thought that Bey would have just kept walking and ignored Izzie as best she could and told Ted about it, but she didn't really blame her for being intimidated by the Psychosis singer. "When you start - What?" Charlotte gawked at that. Where the hell had that one come from? As far as Charlotte was concerned, Ted was always looking out for Cor Leonis' best interest and from what she had understood they had always gotten along..."Where the hell did that come from?" She turned and walked a few paces before stopping and shaking her head. "I just don't get it...I never would have thought she'd leave. And you two always got along, didn't you?" She asked, closing her eyes for a moment and trying to clear her mind before turning back to Ted. She had no idea what they were going to do now, since Bey had been such a large part of Cor Leonis. "Well, I assume you don't want me to try to sing." She told Ted, trying for a small smile. It was a good thing Charlotte had pursued the drums instead of a singing career which she was sure he could attest for with all the times she had come into the studio singing something she'd just heard on the radio - badly. Luckily they had managed to find a bassist - but now they would have to try to find a replacement for Bey.

Izzie for once seemed at a loss for words, just standing there silently and for a minute Craig didn't think she was going to respond to him but then he quickly realized he had never been more wrong as the Psychosis frontwoman wheeled around on him like she was going to fucking decapitate him. It took a lot of restraint for the young guitarist to not take a step back. He held his ground, however his eyes did widen significantly. "Alright, jesus fucking christ." He muttered, holding up his hands as if to fend off an attack before shaking his head and finally taking a single step back just to give her a little space. He didn't doubt her ability to make good on her threat and so he didn't respond, deciding to just leave it at that.

Edei, however began to speak. Craig's head popped up, about to tell her to shut up if she knew what was good for her and he was completely unsuspecting of what she said next. "The International Astronomical Union (IAU) redefines the term "planet" such that Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet." Craig couldn't help it, he burst into laughter along with Cormac and for a minute he had to struggle to stop. It seemed even Izzie Martinez herself found Edei's comment amusing, as if he wasn't mistaken he saw a hint of a smile on her face. Shaking his head, he himself smiled and straightened his B.C Rich glad that the bassist had decided to try to lighten the mood. As he listened to his frontwoman speak, he gave a mental shrug. He himself had no problem with that and he had a feeling that was more directed at Izzie than anyone since he didn't think any the rest of them would exactly be an issue for the Cor Leonis group - however he was guessing Ted Marubini saw them more as Izzie's little ragtag gang than anything so he probably assumed the worst of them. Oh, well. He'd mind his own business.

It seemed Cormac decided to take Ted's comment literally and Craig couldn't help but smirk, looking at Izzie for her reply which made him chuckle a little. "So..." He paused, gesturing from the drummer to himself. "We're we're free to do as we want then?" He asked no one in particular, deciding that Izzie needed some time to just unwind (Not that he was sure she was capable of doing that).

Edei grinned, pleased that she had gotten the tension to die off and as everyoneā€™s laughter died down, the mood seemed to have altered. Thank God because if there was one thing that she couldnā€™t deal with it was drama. Or angerā€¦ Or confrontation or pretty much any negative emotion, really. Laughter and humor seemed to suit her more which was odd considering the type of music she preferred to play.

Cormy spoke up, taking Izzieā€™s warning quite literally and his comment had Edei laughing again. Laughter which continued with Izzieā€™s utterly amazing comeback and accompanying exasperation. Craig seemed to be following along the same train of thought as Cormy had because his "We're free to do as we want then?" had Edei arching her brow in his direction as she took another swig of liquor before setting the bottle down.

ā€œAre you going after Charlotte too?! Hell, I think I better go warn the poor girl if sheā€™s going to have you two battling over her.ā€ Snickering to herself, Edei cracked her fingers then flexed them back and forth as she cast an eye over the group, frowning thoughtfully as she gave one last glance at her iPhone before tucking it back into the pocket of her hoodie. It was already getting halfway through the day with all the drama, the liquor trip, and the impromptu jam session. Were they going to try to get anything done after all of that or were they going to call it quits for the day?

Lifting her gaze, she cast a look at each of the other three band members in turn but decided to keep her mouth shut. It was Izzieā€™s band, after all, and after the rough start to the morning she didnā€™t want to ask anything. If worse came to worse and they split for the day, perhaps sheā€™d stick around long enough to kick out a song or two. She had Motƶrheadā€™s ā€œAce of Spadesā€ stuck in her head for some reason.

Charlotte smiled at the bassist when he chimed in that he wasn't going to be singing either. That meant it was going to fall to Ted of course and she wasn't sure how happy he was going to be about that - it also meant he was going to have to write the lyrics probably too as Charlotte hadn't much experience trying to write lyrics at all as she normally left that to others. Hopefully Victor was good with lyrics - or maybe someone Ted knew of? She hadn't tried to write something since she was...Shit. Nineteen? Ted sighed and laughed, although to her ears it sounded rather bitter which disappointed her a bit. He then voiced her thoughts and she wondered if he had any idea of what they were going to be doing now. Bey had been a rather intragel part of Cor Leonis and she wasn't sure what Ted was planning to do to fix this - without Bey it was just him and her...and...Maybe, well, maybe Victor. Come to think of it, Victor suddenly making an appearance like he had could be very lucky for them so they wouldn't have to look for a bass player as well.

She was about to ask Ted what they were going to do when Victor suddenly spoke up. She quickly looked to Ted then, hoping to get an idea of what he was thinking. He was silent, taking a few steps away to think, probably without her and the bassist staring at him. Then he turned and looked to her, doing something she was rather used to now, although she hadn't seen it in a while - Ted's silent messages which had confused her when he had first seen him do them but she now found easy to read - the question was simple - Want him in?. She was quiet for a minute, thinking it over. Victor seemed a good candidate, she liked his playing style and he seemed a good fit for them, she thought. She nodded to Ted and then turned to face the bassist to see his reaction.

Once Ted announced their decision, the blonde's face lit up with a grin. "Welcome to the family, Vic!" She told him, cheerfully before turning and hugging Ted. "I think we made a good choice." She told him, honestly, looking up at him with large blue eyes before finally releasing the frontman and walking over to Victor. She hugged him anyways, despite the fact she'd rather do that after she knew he'd had a bath. And maybe been spritzed with her Dior perfume. She made it a short, but warm hug and then took a step back and decided to ask him a question she'd been dying to ask since meeting him. "Say, Vic...do you, ah...Have any place to stay in town?" She asked him, curiously. Judging from the state of him, he really didn't...

Izzie verified that she didn't care what he or Cormac did, so long as they kept it outside of the studio, however he chuckled quietly when she elaborated, saying she didn't want to walk in on anything that could be uncomfortable. "Good enough for me." He said and then turned and looked at Edei with a sheepish smile. "Ah, well..." He shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "Not necessarily... I just wonderin'." The young guitarist told her, honestly before busying himself with retrieving his pick from the top of a nearby amp before Izzie seized his attention and he found himself raising a brow at her words. Jersey Shore love triangle? Honestly, he didn't know where she came up with some of this shit, but hey, it was Izzie..."I don't mean to crush your dreams of making Psychosis a free jazz group -" He both inwardly shuddered at the prospect of Psychosis turning to jazz and at the same time wanted to laugh at the idea of Izzie Martinez playing something like that. "but I promise there won't be any Jersey Shore love triangle bullshit." He told her, shaking his head and then turning to Edei. "And there won't be any battling." He promised the bassist with a grin. He found the Cor Leonis drummer rather attractive but he wasn't going to risk starting anything with Cormac if he had any interest in her because he genuinely didn't think it was worth it if his drummer took it badly - knowing Cormac, the next time he got drunk would start pointing fingers at him and Craig would really like to avoid any conflict with his bandmates if possible.

Craig was called away from his thoughts by Izzie's voice, turning his head to look at her, just as she stamped out the cigarette on the floor and declaring that progress was to be fucked today. Oh well. He thought, wondering if he should bring an ash tray next time so the floor wouldn't get destroyed. "Alright, jam day works for me." He said, and then cocked his head to the side at her words, raising a brow. "...I don't think I even want to know, Iz." He told her, shaking his head. He actually liked jam on his toast and would like to continue to be able to eat it... and if something could drastically alter Izzie Martinez's view on it, he didn't know if he would ever want to put jam on his toast ever again after hearing it.
