Luca dropped his bag in front of the door of his new appartment. His new home. He bit his lower lip nervously and got out the key to unlock the door. He still didn't know whom he would be sharing this flat with as he only talked to that one guy via e-mail, but he remembered him saying something about several other people, five apart from himself, he thought. Well, that certainly would get interesting, though Luca had already made up his mind to stay out of anything his flat-mates might get up to. He had heard the most crazy stories about young people living together and he really was not the type for such antics.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door and stepped inside after heaving his bag over his shoulder again. "Hello?" he called unsure of whether he should wait for the guy who had made the advertisment or if he should just enter. Slowly, Luca made his way inside and looked around what appeared to be the sitting room. It was rather nicely furnished, a big couch standing across from a TV. "Not bad..." he thought, a smile slowly appearing on his face. Luca put his bag down in front of the couch and sat down on it to wait for the rest of the people he would from now on be sharing his life with.

How weird this was going to be. Till this morning, he had been living with his parents, in his old bedroom and now he was here, in a completely new city, living with people he had never met before. What if they didn't like him? Or what if they were some weird people? Criminals? Drug-addicts? Dear God, how ever should he cope with that? Luca felt his hands getting sweaty with nervousness and he took a deep breath. Fear of the unknown...that was quite normal for him. But it would be alright. This Mathis guy who had placed the advertisment and whom he had been mailing with, had seemed nice enough. So how bad could the others be? He would have his own room to himself, so if things got out of hand he would just withdraw there.

A bit calmer now, Luca leaned back against the couch and closed his eyes for a bit. He had taken an early train to arrive in this city before noon, so he was quite tired. He pulled out his headphones and turned on some music, to make his wait shorter. It would probably be really cool to live with different people, an adventure you could say. And maybe he would meet some pretty girl ... or handsome guy? Who knew.

Fletcher had been out and about for most of the day. For the most part he was technically working. Somehow in the midst of his daily duties he had forgotten about the new housemates showing up. Remembering in the middle of picking something up, he rushed home on his motorcycle.

Upon reaching his familiar home he realized that someone had already arrived, somewhat early too, seeing as the door was left slightly ajar. He walked up casually to his door and entered his home, seeing that there was someone standing in the living room. "Ah, Hello there." He said while walking into plain view and removing his helmet. "Luca McAllan right" He asked, a warm smile on his face. "Welcome to your new home. "

Startled out of his thoughts by a voice that carried through his music, Luca's eyes flew open and he pulled off his headphones. In front of him was a young man, probably a bit older than himself, talking to him. He was quite good-looking and seemed rather nice so far. "Erm.. hi...and thanks. The flat looks really nice." Luca awkwardly got up from the couch and held out his hand to the older boy, a shy smile on his face. "Yes, I'm Luca. Nice to meet you. Are you Fletcher Mathis? The one I have been mailing with?" he asked.

Just now he noticed the helmet the guy was carrying. He had a motorbike then. Luca smirked slightly, he had always wanted to get a licence for motorbikes, but his parents thought it would be too dangerous for him and forbade him from learning how to drive, so he always had to use public transportation, like busses and trains to reach his destination.
"Are the other ones going to arrive soon too?" Luca wondered aloud.

Fletcher reached out and shook the younger mans house. "I am indeed Fletcher. I do hope you'll grow to like it here." Fletcher said with a smile. He walked over to the coat rack in the corner of the room and hung his helmet on one of the hooks. " Well i hope they get here soon, they might miss dinner if they do." Fletcher sighed. Missing dinner certainly would be a shame considering he had hired top chefs to cook for everyone, seeing as he wasn't too great of a cook himself.

Suddenly all that could be heard was the pitter patter of wobbly puppy feet on the floor. A rather young Doberman came bursting through the doggy door and ran straight into Luca's legs. The young puppy stared up at him for a second with a confused expression then barked and trotted over to Fletcher. Fletcher simply squatted down and gave the young dog at few pats. "This is Kyra. Dont worry shes very friendly most of the time."

Luca's smile widened. So the other man was friendly after all, excellent! At the mention of food, he grinned at Fletcher. "That would be a pity, there is nothing better than to get to know new people over a good meal." he said with a wink. Then hopefully, everyone would be relaxed and open to accept the others in their lives. Excitedly, he looked over to the other boy, his eyes lightening up. "What will be served for dinner, may I ask? Or is that a surprise?" At home Luca often cooked for his parents when they were working late and he also enjoyed trying new things.

Suddenly, there was a noise from the hall and Luca spun around just in time to see something dark running straight into him. "WOA!" he exclaimed, more startled than actually frightened when he noticed that it was a young dog which was now walking over to what was probably his owner. "Ah your dog..." he thought that it may have been mentioned in one of the mails, but he must have forgotten. "She's looks rather cute." Luca loved animals, though he had never owned a dog, only a cat. "Hey Kyra! Nice to meet you." he called over to the dog, trying to make his voice sound friendly and soothing. "How old is she? She's still going to grow a bit, right? Such dogs can get quite large. Is she sleeping out here or in your room?" he asked as an afterthough. Not that he disliked her, quite the contrary, but one should always be careful around other dogs when they didn't know you. Especially such big dogs.

" I actually dont know whats for dinner yet, I'm not the one cooking." Fletcher said as there was a knock at the door. Four chefs scurried into the house and took over the kitchen immediately. " As you can probably guess, im not much of a cook. " He said, standing back up from petting the dog. "She will be sleeping in my room. And shes only one month old, so yes, shes got a lot of growing to do." Fletcher stated.

Meanwhile Kyra was practically trying to lick Luca to death, seeking to be loved up by her new friend. "Well she certainly like you." Fletcher stated with a slight chuckle.

Gripping her coat closer to her, she shuffles down the street closer to the building. She had a gut wrenching feeling that maybe it was a huge mistake making an agreement to live with ... Quite a few other strangers. Her dark eyes flicker towards the building as she came up to the door. She hadn't necessarily met the owner yet, only responded to the flyers posted outside... So, it could have easily been some trap set by the white coats to capture her and put her back in that small cell... But for some odd chance and reason, she decided to trust it...

Shuddering at the thought, she fiddles with the keys and opens the door to her new home. She pushes the door open slightly and stares into the house, "H-hello?" She murmurs, more to herself than to anyone else. She detects noises going on in the kitchen and she slinks through the half-opened door and closes it hastily behind her. She instantly comes in contact with two people and four men in white hats and aprons, her eyes dart this way and that...

Maybe it was a trick.

The young girl is a mess of awkward, she looks as if she hadn't slept well in years, dark circles hovering around her dark hazel eyes; her torn, dusty jeans have tears and seem to be falling apart. Her ragged black t-shirt cover her frail figure, and a long dark blue wind breaker jacket.

Her sensory becomes overloaded with new information about the home, quickly scanning if there were any true threats lurking around.

Katherine Greyford

Katherine stood in the alleyway that separated her from being exposed to the prying eyes of strangers, especially of the human kind. What was she supposed to say when they looked upon her? "I have a furry disease? I'm wearing a costume made of real fur?" She questioned herself sarcastically. What about the little kids when they pulled her tail and didn't find that it was just a pin-on? Would she just wag it and hope that they thought it was some advanced alien technology? She ground her teeth and felt her upper lip curl baring her fangs. This was ridiculous! This was why she stayed out of the city and lived in a rural little country house that her friend owned and ran a general store in. However, since that store had human customers she had to be collared and kept like a pet. She would run around with a collar and leash on all fours when she had just gotten used to walking normally. Normally happened to mean two-legged walking. Katherine snorted sourly. She hated to be degraded in such a manner but that was the only way she was seeing getting up to her new home without causing a panic.

Katherine stripped down to a collar and although being mostly covered in fur it didn't count for much, she leaned down letting her hands touch the ground. It was filthy in the alleyway and repulsion filled her thoughts with curses but she fluffed up her fur and raised her tail haughtily. She was so above this act. Nevertheless, she gathered her dignity and pranced out of the alley and onto the sideway. An older woman coming down the street squinted her eyes but Katherine sped up and approached Creston Manor. The newspaper had said something about many roommates but Katherine had expected to be one of the first to arrive since she was usually precise about time.

Katherine peered about before raising herself to a more comfortable position of standing on only two legs. She brushed her hands on her leg fur and quickly pulled on her loose black yoga pants and form-fitting white shirt that depicted a multicolored cat wearing glasses. Katherine liked to be hip and in-style and her love of online shopping didn't help. Once she felt presentable enough, she walked to the front door of the manor and peered inside. The owner who lived there had left the door open and a clutter of noise could be heard from inside. One noise in particular raised the hairs on Katherine's ruff but she stifled the uneasy and irrational fear of dogs and continued inside towards the kitchen. "Hello? Anybody home? Your new roommate has arrived!" She announced nervously, still slightly troubled from the dog. As she neared the noise, the four aproned chef's didn't even seem to glance at her arrival. Nearby stood three strangers who she supposed would be her roommates. Time for the introductions... Katherine thought wryly.

"Hey. I'm Katherine, uh-" She paused wondering if anything needed to be said about her fur. Nah. "You can call me Kat or Grey since my last name is Greyford. I'm pretty nice most of the time, although I can get cranky. I think it's nice to know who you're living with so who are you?" She asked bluntly. Katherine was unfazed by the girl's messy appearance nor the way the second male oozed a kind of creepy danger, and as for the third male well he seemed normal albeit too happy to be here. She reasoned that she had plenty of hellish days and her fur was hard to brush into a nice style, she could be creepy with the way she looked with all the fur and fangs, and well everybody needed to be happy once in a while. Perhaps she could get along with everyone. Katherine grinned, pleased with the idea.

Luca raised his eyebrows in astonishment when suddenly the door opened and four cooks came inside to start in the kitchen. Wow, he thought, that guy must be pretty rich. "Well, I love cooking, but I bet these guys will create something great" he said with a grin and then started to rub the little dog's fur, laughing loudly at her enthusiasm. "She's so cute!" Luca beamed up at Fletcher, he sure would enjoy having a dog in the house. Maybe he would be allowed to walk her sometime when Fletcher was at work or so, he thought.

Again the door opened and a young woman slipped into the room, her bearing slightly frightful and looking rather worn down. Carefully, Luca went over to her, a concerned expression on his face. "Are you quite alright? Maybe you should sit down for a bit, you really look quite unwell." he said gently, forcing a warm smile on his face as not to scare her even more. "I'm Luca by the way, one of the new tenants."
He was just about to propose that she might take a seat on the couch to rest a bit, when for the third time the door opened. What came in though wasn't anything Luca had ever seen before and he quickly took several steps back. "What on earth..." he exclaimed, shock making his voice higher than usual. There was a fox-like creature standing! ... yes standing in front of them as if it was completely normal for animals to walk on two legs and speak! Because the ...girl? for she definitely had a female voice, was actually talking to them.

Luca shook his head, maybe he had fallen asleep on the couch and was only dreaming? Yes, that might be possible. He tried to focus back on the fox in front of him. She was talking like a normal person, introducing herself, if rather bluntly and asking for their names. Confused and sligtly helpless, Luca looked over to the others to see their reaction to the girl.

All the sudden chaos made Alyx uncomfortable and she began to attempt to shrink away when a man begins to speak to her.

"Miss? Are you alright? Are you one of the new housemates by any chance?" -- Alyx nods -- " I'm Fletcher, its a pleasure to meet you. " The man gives a slight bow towards her.

Suddenly, a huge dog lurked over to her and she quickly backs away as it sniffed her shoe and began licking the hem of her pants. Near tears, she tried to stop it, but before she could the dog scurried off to the kitchen.

Just when she thought her fears were over, the door swung open again and a part female, part cat sprung through the door and Alyx backs away immediately, in fear that she might be another creature from the lab here to take her back. She had seen these "Feline Creatures" before, and none of the turned out to be nice.

"Hey. I'm Katherine, uh... You can call me Kat or Grey since my last name is Greyford. I'm pretty nice most of the time, although I can get cranky. I think it's nice to know who you're living with so who are you?"

Alyx was about to explode from all the different things going on at this point, her breath became short and ragged as her eyes dart from this way to that when the other male came up to her, a concerned look spreading on his face.

"Are you quite alright? Maybe you should sit down for a bit, you really look quite unwell..." A genuine smile spread across his face and Alyx locks eyes with him, they scream that she is extremely uncomfortable, "I'm Luca by the way, one of the new tenants."

"A--A-Alyx..." She stammers, her voice is fragile, sounding as if she had never spoken a lick of any kind of language in her life, "I...I should go to my room." She crosses her scarred arms across her frail frame and she turns and scuttles off to one of the open rooms. Maybe this was a bad idea afterall.

Cian shouldered his bag and leisurely walked down the pavement to his new flat. His face wore the typical expression of a superior smirk and glinting hazel eyes. Today morning he had checked out of the hotel he had been staying in before going to work. It was his first week in this city, but he already realized that he was by far the best lawyer in his office. Not that it was a big surprise with all of his experience, but after decades it became it bit boring to always be the best, as Cian loved to be challenged by other people. Especially humans. These creatures often were rather amusing to him and he loved to play with them whenever he felt like it.

Today though, he would just check out his new flat mates. Five others, as far as he knew. Well, maybe at least one or two of them would spike his interest, he thought, his smirk widening predatory. The house itself looked rather average from afar, though the neighbourhood seemed to be acceptable for now. Cian winked at a young lady who passed him by, making her blush furiously and start to giggle. He snorted and rolled his eyes. Young humans were always so easy to unsettle, he thought, bored by the predictable behaviour. Sometimes he was so immensely tired of it all, of humans, other vampires and just life itself. That was actually the only reason why Cian had decided to try out something new and sent an answer to the advertisement.

Upon reaching the entrance of his new flat, Cian's superior senses quickly picked up voices and the smell of humans as well as some other races. Ineresting... he thought, his eyes lightening up, Very interesting... He pushed open the door and soundlessly slipped inside the room, quickly taking in the Anthropomorphic, standing right in front of him, the two young man, the dog and the cooks that didn't seem to care one bit about what was going on around them. Cian could smell the slight stench of death coming from the blond man. The shock on the other man's face was plainly obvious and the fox in front of him seemed to be the cause for it. He could also detect the presence of another being in the flat, a female...obviously scared.

A low chuckled came from his throat, as he stepped further into the room. "Now, now ...what a very amusing little group you are?" he said smirking, amusement colouring his voice. "I presume that I will be sharing this flat with you then?" he inclined his head slightly. "My name is Cian, a pleasure to meet you."

Before Fletcher could ask any other questions the young woman, now identified as Alyx, ran off towards the empty rooms. He turned back around to see a fox woman standing at the door. She introduced herself quite bluntly, Fletcher enjoyed the forwardness. "Well, welcome Kat, If you didnt already hear, Im fletcher. I hope you enjoy it here. " He said with a large smile on his face. Fletcher looked over at Luca, who seemed simply frightened. Fletcher didnt understand his fear. "The young fellow whose simply standing there is Luca." He stated then walked over to pick up his dog. "This is Kyra."

Another man walked in, talking about how amusing this little group was. "Welcome to the house, Cian. I hope you like it here." Fletcher said warmly. "Alright, i believe we are just waiting on one more person then...Oh, dinner is at six, Im not sure what exactly we're having but im sure it will be great. During dinner, along with getting to know one another a little better, we will go over some basic house rules. Theres only a few so dont worry about that. For now i suggest you get your rooms set up." Fletcher said as he set his puppy down and it ran outside. Fletchers phone went off and he checked it, it revealed a name and an address, "Please make yourselves at home, I've got a few work things ive got to settle. I'll be back in about an hour. It was nice meeting you all. He said then grabbed his helmet and sped off on his motorcycle.

Katherine Greyford

She definitely expected that. Why should she have been surprised? Katherine resisted the heavy feeling in her throat that was the start of a growl. No need to scare the lot of them anymore than they already were. She flippantly let her hands dangle at her sides before she decided to rest them on her hips. Her tail twitched, sweeping from one side to the other before she could force it still. Her ears lay back, just a little, as Katherine was unable to hide her irritation. At least the one male who had said his name was Fletcher seemed to openly receive her. “Alright. Pleased to meet you Fletcher.” She was happy that one person was pleasant but the other made her huff under her breath as the startled rabbit-boy, or Luca as Fletcher announced, couldn’t mutter a word. As for the girl, she hurried off to her room without a real goodbye. “Well then. So much for introductions and pleasantries there.” Katherine muttered, verging on pouting. Katherine’s gaze fluttered back to Fletcher as he held his dog up for her to see. Her pelt raised but she kept her position and remained still enough to hear his dog’s name. “Kyra, huh?” She gave the dog a stern looking-over before giving a joking smile. “I suppose since your still a pup that maybe we can be friends. After all, you don’t look like one of those flea-brained hunting dogs.” She carefully raised her hand for the dog to sniff but not to close as to let the pup bite her before placing it back on her hip where it belonged.

Katherine looked to the entranceway of the manor as a new man entered. So far, she had gained little ground with her housemates and well the vote was still out on the dog although it looked nice enough. It would be ironic if the dog got attached to her since she was an animal like itself but she took baths like a human and her usual soap smelled like cinnamon, acted like a human, and walked like a human. Although the underling scent would still be animalistic she reminded herself. The new housemate had a scent that was unusual and Katherine narrowed her eyes as a sort of discomfort settled right between her shoulders causing a tension that the other scents that had been in the room didn’t cause. She sneezed and moved her left hand to pinch her nose to make the itch go away. The man introduced himself as Cian and although he smelled weird, that wouldn’t stop Katherine from making as least one more housemate like her from the start. What was that humans said? Like at first sight? She thought amusedly.

“Hey. Katherine Greyford. I’m pretty nice but I can get crabby. You know? Introductions aside, you’ve got a strange scent on you buddy.” She smirked, revealing a row of fangs without thinking about it. She would have extended a hand if not for Fletcher’s departure. He said he was leaving for work and that dinner was at six. Also, that it would be a mystery. Oh how she loved mysteries Katherine mused. “Well, I’m going to assume I’ll get a room to myself? Because I’m not sleeping on a cat bed or at the foot of someone’s bed,” Katherine lightheartedly joked though she was relatively serious.

Still staring, Luca barely registed Alyx running out of the kitchen, nor the young man entering shortly after. His whole mind was filled with the fact that there was a talking fox standing in front of him. His other flat-mates didn't seemed to be the slightest bit bothered, though and he wondered where the hell he had ended up. This was like some anime movie where the people were half human and half animal, though whether that was actually the case with the girl in front of him, he couldn't possibly know.
Fletcher seemed to have no problem with her and welcomed her in the flat before leaving for work or something like that. Luca had only half listened to his words. Still, for now he thought that the best way was to play along with the madness and tried to calm himself.

Plastering a nervous smile on his face he turned to the girl, Katherine, she had introduced herself as. "Erm...hi...I'm Luca. Sorry for staring at you like that, I just never saw someone like you before." he told her honestly, hoping she didn't feel insulted by his behaviour. "But ... I mean ... what exactely are you?" he couldn't help but ask. Maybe there was a completely normal explanation for her appearance after all. Right...a speaking furry girl with a tail...how could you explain that? said a sarcastic voice in his head.

Out of the corner of his eye he threw a calculating look at the boy who had introduced himself as Cian, but he seemed normal enough, though Luca couldn't understand how he could remain so completely unfazed.

Trying to hide his amused smirk, Cian inclined his head slightly at Fletcher before the man rushed out of the room. This sure was quite the unique group of people, he thought and ran his tounge over his front teeth as he was wont to do when his interest was spiked by something or someone. It had a slightly predatory quality, especially matched with his glinting eyes that surveyed the remaining two people in the room. The boy seemed to have caught himself again, at least to some extend, though the shocked expression that had been plastered on his face earlier had been quite hilarious, Cian thought smirking.

He bowed slightly to Katherine, afterall he had over a century to establish his good manners, even if usually he did not bother to display them. This was the first day, though, so he decided it wouldn't hurt to start off the right way. "It is a pleasure, Katherine. And I do not think I will have problems in dealing with your crabbiness." he said amiably, though he was quite serious. Should anyone decide to piss him off, they would soon find out that it wasn't a good idea to mess with a vampire. Luckily though, Cian usually kept his cool in most situations, his age giving him the wisdom and patience to deal with those around him.

The mention of his scent, made Cian chuckle lowly. Of course the Anthropomorphic would pick up the difference in his scent, though that she did not recognize it immediately told him that she had never dealt with a vampire before. "Yes..." he drawled, baring his long fangs in a fearsome smile, "I fear I am not quite human myself." Cian let out a short bark of laughter. "And I should hope that non-humans will get a decent room here as well, for I do not make a habit of sleeping in coffins."

Fletcher had finished his "Work" Rather quickly. It didnt take long to get there considering the person lived a few blocks away. He hurried back to the house, probably smelling like new death to the trained nose. "Sorry i had to disappear, sudden shift change where i work.." Fletcher announced as he walked through the doors. No one had really moved, but the young girl who had run off earlier was now sitting on the floor eating something. Fletcher decided it was best not to bother her. One of the chefs announced that dinner had been served, and that each dish was specially catered to the guests tastes. Well assumed tastes. Fletcher stretched a little, put his helmet away then made his way to the large dinning room table where everything had been set up with name plates and everything.

"Oh, you'll all have your own rooms. Dont worry about that we can discuss it over dinner." Fletcher stated as he sat in his chair, waiting for the others to join.

Cian was rather surprised to see Fletcher come back so quickly, but maybe it was for the best because he definitely was looking forward to his dinner. Together they seated themselves at the table and their meal was served.
He looked up at Fletcher and raised his brow slightly. The stench of death was clinging to the man and it intruiged him. "What kind of job do you do, if you don't mind me asking?" he asked, keeping his voice smooth, as if not overly interested.

Luca watched the interaction between Cian and Katherine while his confusion kept growing. He reeled back in shock when they both bared their fangs at each other. What the hell were these two? He wondered. Well. At least they seemed to be friendly enough and didn't seem about to attack him in any way. That was good, right? ... RIGHT?
Naturally, Luca was more than relieved when Fletcher returned early and he quickly went to sit down next to the older boy. "Do you often have to get to work on such short notice?" he asked him.
Luca was glad to hear that they would each have their own room. Sharing his privacy was really not his strong forte.

"Oh! Well i work at a morgue, part time, they call me if they need me. Like they did today. " Fletcher said. It wasnt completely a lie, fletcher did work at a morgue, usually just on the people he himself had killed. by doing this Fletcher was able to obscure evidence, keeping himself from being caught. Fletcher eyed his food suspiciously. He had been poisoned before and it was unpleasant to say the least. He decided it was probably fine, but dropped poison neutralizers into his food when no one was looking. He may have hired the chefs, but that didnt mean he trusted them. "What about you two?" Fletcher asked. He was curious about their jobs too.

Fletcher was however very distracted by the young girl, who seemed frightened of almost everything. She was now sitting on the floor and eating. Fletcher got up, and walked calmly over to the young woman. He knelt down in front of her and with a warm smile asked if she would like to join the rest of them at the table.

Fletcher was happy that the young woman decided to sit down with the rest of them. The happiness however faded when the girl mentioned that his drink had been tampered with. "I hadn't gotten to examining the drink. Thank you for pointing it out." Fletcher said in a very displeased and quiet tone. He took the drink and poured it down the kitchen sink. Then while the chefs weren't looking, fletcher walked off into a separate room, returning with a bright red brief case. From that brief case, he took out four, rather long, extremely sharp needles. In one swift movement he positioned them in his hand and threw them at the four chefs. Each needle hit its mark perfectly, the backs of the chefs heads, piercing they're brains, thus killing them instantly. "Well thats unfortunate. Sorry i had to do that in front of you all, especially on your first day here." He said, sounding rather sincere. Fletcher removed the needles from the 'chefs' heads and places them in the sink for later cleaning.

Fletcher began moving the now deceased men into a separate room, dragging them rather easily across the floor. He pulled them into a room, a freezer of sorts, hidden by a fake wall. Fletcher sighed, closing the door and replacing the wall panel, then returned to the rest of the group. Luckily the needles were spall and didn't cause much bleeding at all. Fletcher cleaned the few drops of blood up then went to washing his hands. " Well, as you can all probably tell by now, im not exactly a simple morgue employee....I'm a highly trained Assassin. I was hoping to be able to hide it to avoid scaring you guys off but im afraid its not easily avoidable. Do not worry, you all are perfectly safe, people are after me, not you. You people will be fine....And i doubt that any of your food or drink has been contaminated with poisons or heavy sedatives. " Fletcher spoke as he cleaned the needles and his hands and placed them back in his briefcase. He then sat back down and texted his boss with news of what had happened, and hoped that it wouldn't scare anyone away.
