Name: Mari Levesque
Age: 30
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Clothing: Usually either a short sleeved button up blouse and a short skirt or a sleeveless white lacy dress and a white lace choker.
Offense: Murder, she actually killed only two claiming self-defense, but officially she was blamed and tried for a total of eight murders.
Likes: Talking, getting to know people inside and out
Dislikes: Being seemingly cursed with an unintentionally manipulative personality and causing others to lose their sanity over time with the usually turning on each other before turning on her.
Issues: Diagnosed with psychopathy, however seems to only partially fulfill the criteria as she does feel some remorse and understands emotions pretty well. Objectively she is quite manipulative, usually tries to manipulate others into befriending her, has narcissistic bouts, has an altered sense of morality, is kind of superficial, can turn violent if she is threatened (not the loud type of violent though, but rather physical), is however aware of her faults and makes an effort to change herself. Some suspect atypical autism with psychopathic traits.
Personality: At first glance, Mari is friendly and social, however sometimes she says things that are off-putting. She desparately seeks friendships, because she never really had actual friends. She is quite manipulative and something about her changes people. Understands feelings of others well despite not having much capacity to feel the way others do. When she does something wrong, she has a hard time recognizing what she did wrong herself and usually would need someone to explain it to her so she can improve her behavior. Loud higher pitched sounds like glass breaking and being held when not requesting it can make her aggressive. She tends to use a bit formalistic vocabulary.
Background: Mari was always odd from when she was an infant. Her parents couldn't deal with her and gave her up for adoption when she was seven. Even at orphanages, her caretakers had difficulties with her. No one wanted to be around her, so she found enjoyment in books. She excelled in school and even skipped two grades. But even in school, she had no friends. At the university, she found people who could have been considered friends, but by the time she finished her studies, strange things had happened to them. Otherwise happy and energetic people committed suicide or people stopped talking to her and treated her as if she was a ghost. One former friend even attacked her with a knife. She didn't understand why. She continued on with her life mostly avoiding relationships for many years. She found work as a counselor at a prison. But then things started happening at the prison. Violence between inmates went up, suicides skyrocketed. Finally she voluntarily resigned with the reason that she had failed as a counselor. She moved to a suburb of Drummondville and did work from home avoiding lengthy verbal contact with contractors. In the suburb, her neighbors were friendly and invited her to barbeques and other events. It made her happy. But after a couple months, neighbors started acting strange. They started to become violent towards one another. Then the night of horror happened as tendencies grew so violent that neighbors actually killed each other, two of which broke into her house and tried to kill her. One held her, making her freak out and bite him and hit him before strangling him. The other came through the back and accidentally threw over breakable dishware making Mari freak out even more. She grabbed an envelope opener from her desk and lunged at the woman and stabbed her repeatedly. Once she had realized what she had done, she called the police and confessed to them on arrival. However her neighbors were quick to blame the other murders on her. The overwhelming testimonials sealed her fate. The judge ordered a psychological evaluation of her and she was found to have severe mental faults and therefore ordered to be treated at the criminal ward of the mental hospital. A couple charges were dropped so that the length of her sentence was rather light: Mental treatment until deemed safe for the public at minimum with good behavior, otherwise five years confinement and at least 10 years of supervised probation. So far, she has been well behaved and only caused minimum problems so far and getting decent therapy so far with a therapist who seems to be capable to mentally withstand her.
