Lanmo reached the stairs leading up from the dungeons and began to proceed up towards the light once more, leaving the dark hallways and the screams behind him. He was currently wiping off the last blood spots from the tip of his right gauntlet. Humans had so much blood in them and after hitting them hard enough, blood usually ended up all over the place. He had been toying with the rebel for two whole hours with his awful torture techniques before the fool had decided to give him some information before he died. These rebels were vigilant and their loyalty to Sir Gar Locke and the rebellion was most impressive, but everyone who dared to oppose Skorn would die by the hands of Lanmo. Sooner or later.
The shade moved swiftly through the once great corridors of the Palace and he didn't stop for anyone or anything. His news was more important than anything. When passing servants they dropped what they had in fear and remained still minutes after Lanmo had disappeared out of sight. When passing soldiers they too were left stuck to the ground in fear. Their very bones turned to ice when the shade was only a couple of meters away from them. This was a special occasion and he had no time to be stealthy when moving back to Skorn.
When he finally reached the large doors leading to the throne room he didn't bother to knock and opened both doors in a swift move and closed them quickly again. Before him was an amazingly big room and in the end of it sat the undead former king on his throne and on the chair next to him sat Skorn. Lanmo made his way to Skorn and bowed deeply before him.
"Master." He said with his bone chilling voice.
"General." Skorn replied and Lanmo rose from his deep bow.
"I have essential information which I obtained from our newly deceased prisoner." The general began and now he looked Skorn right in the eye. "They've captured your apprentice Spectre..."
The look on Skorn didn't seem to change but never the less, it was not Lanmo's duty to see how his master reacted to the newly acquired information he brought with him.
"But that's not all. The prisoner also told me that one of the most popular Inn's in town, the Red Blossom Inn is under the influence of the Rebellion. In fact, he told me that the owner named Thorwulf Doggarson is a loyal rebel himself. He had provided shelter for the group who captured the Prince before they travelled back to the Rebels camp."
There was a short silence between the general and Skorn before Lanmo spoke once more.
"What do you wish to do with this information, Master?"

"I must congratulate you General, for I have never been able to find any guard willing to wander the night with a shadow witch and yet you have found four." To which Lanmo only nodded slowly. He would have smiled but alas, he had no lips. The guards could choose between tampering with a Shadow witch or a Legendary Shade that's known for killing people for the smallest mistakes. The girl kept on speaking.
"Although I confess myself curious General. First of all, why is it that, when my father himself has no concern whether I live or die, you should be so concerned about me having supervision? And secondly, where do you get the authority to 'let' me wander the city?"
The general stood still for a moment or two, scanning the girl with great suspicion in mind. She seemed so eager to fight against him instead of next to him. She could become a great Necromancer with enough training but only if she stopped to refuse her fathers teachings.
"I am only caring for my masters bloodline. Should my master--" Lanmo began but cut himself off. He should not be speaking of this to anyone and least not with Skorn's own daughter. If she would discover that with the right magic she could seize control of Lanmo after killing Skorn there would be a pain for him. "Well, that's a discussion for another time." He said and chuckled slightly before leaving for the dungeons. But before he left entirely he stopped and faced Alessa once more.
"And you'll find that I have more authority here than you might guess. Now make your choice for I have to leave you."
With that he left for the dungeons. He had business to attend to.

Arriving to the Dungeons he was meet by a horde of guards and his elite squad; The DeathBringers. All of them but one walked pass Lanmo. The General stared at the man and awaited his report of the secret meeting at the Blacksmith area. After a short quiet moment the man spoke out.
"We caught a man who was walking around the blacksmith area. He's in Cell Block 43."
Lanmo laughed and put his hand on the man's shoulder. A spiky ice cold feeling ran through the mans body but he resisted it swiftly. "Good job, Derek. Dismissed." And with that the General walked off. But before he was able to leave the man asked for permission to speak once more wich was accepted.
"The man we caught ran around and shouted for a person named Alessa" Derek said before leaving the General in the stairs leading down into the dungeons. Lanmo only stood there, staring at the leaving man. He had been right all along! That betraying little brat! He was going to torture her for hours and then slowly kill her! After swiftly calling for the royal guards and giving them their orders about Alessa he made his way down into the dungeons to visit some new guests.
When he got close to cell block 43 he heard a voice that was very familiar to his ears.
"I suppose father will still be busy..he seems terribly busy lately....I suppose trying to run the kingdom must take a lot of one's time." the woman who was named Remora said. The general only laughed insanely and stepped out from the shadows.
"You're right Remora. It isn't easy to rule a kingdom when there are fools who tries to destroy what a man has spent his entire life to build up." Lanmo said and glanced at Thorwulf and the man his elite squad had captured. "Now, who wants to go first? wait scratch that, I'm in charge here." He said and laughed while pulling out the man named Saraf with his strong fist around the mans throat.
"We're going to have a fun time in the torture chamber, now aren't we?" Lanmo finally said, ignoring any statements coming from anyone else as he walked off with Saraf.
