LOST AT SEA
A tragedy happens on The Irish Spirit, a cruise ship built in 1964 in Ireland, when the cruise ship sinks for mysterious reasons. On a beautiful starry night, the night of a traditional ball open to anyone and everyone on board, a loud booming noise is heard and the ship jerks violently. Everyone is screaming, panicking, pushing each other, throwing others overboard, falling overboard and it's complete madness. Seven lucky strangers find themselves washed ashore on an island early the next morning. As far as these seven strangers know, they are the only survivors and they have no way of getting help from anyone. Will they find a way to survive until help (hopefully) comes, or will they be forever Lost At Sea ?

|| 25 years old || Female || Elementary School Teacher || From Toronto, ON || On cruise with her parents ||
Image (FC: Antonia Thomas) T A K E N
Adelaide was raised in a decent home, but with some financial issues. Her parents loved her and each other, but work took a lot of their attention away from her and she only ever had one parent or the other at home. Adelaide was explained at a young age from her parents that they had financial problems and it also created some mental problems. From a young age, her parents had always been completely honest with her and after hearing about these problems, she immediately knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a psychiatrist. She wanted to help people with their problems. However, after getting a psychology degree, she couldn't find a job and wound up becoming a teacher. After three years of being a teacher, she knew she hated her job and didn't ever want to be a teacher in with children that she couldn't mentally help. Her parents recognized that she was unhappy for some reason and brought her on a cruise.

Christopher Thorn
|| 33 years old || Male || Doctor || From Lansing, MI || On cruise to fix broken marriage with his high school sweetheart ||
Image (FC: Bob Morley) T A K E N
Christopher had been married to his wife ever since their first year of university and have been dating since freshman year in high school. Everyone knew them as the power couple, with Christopher becoming a successful doctor and his wife becoming a successful lawyer. However, behind closed doors, they had been having problems for a few years. His wife didn't want to only experience one man for the rest of her life and started cheating. Sadly, Chris found out but wasn't prepared to give up on them, so he payed for a getaway trip for just the two of them to spend time together.

Carrie Fable
|| 21 years old || Female || Tattoo Artist || From Vancouver, BC || On cruise because she won a free trip ||
Image (FC: Hannah Snowdon) T A K E N
Carrie grew up with a life of problems. She never knew her real parents and was always in and out of foster homes, never having anyone to call family or a place to call home. She found herself escaping her cruel life through art and became inspired to one day put her art all over her body, and do the same to other people who saw tattoos in the same expressive and artistic way as she. However, her depression and anxiety always finds a way to hold her back and makes living an everyday challenge. Winning this trip was a blessing for Carrie... Or so she thought.

Anthony Rein
|| 30 years old || Male || CEO || From New York City, NY || On a cruise for an important business gathering ||
Image (FC: Ryan Reynolds) R E S E R V E D
As soon as Anthony was born, he had his life laid out for him. He was born into a wealthy, business owning company family and life was easy for him growing up. Well, if you'd call not having a relationship with your parents because they're always working an easy life. Sure, he had the money, the looks, the charm and the athletics, but was he really happy? Anthony finds happiness in one night stands and long work nights but this business trip of his would change things. If this deal went through with the Germans, there would be less work for him and more time to... Well, sleep around more, but that's not the point.

Saga James
|| 27 years old || Female || Actress || From Los Angeles, CA || On a cruise to get away from a scandal ||
Image (FC: Tara Lynn) T A K E N
Saga was born to beautiful middle class parents in Sydney, Australia. As a child, she was recruited very early for a modelling career and that modelling career turned into a singing career, which turned into an acting career. It's easy to say that Saga didn't have a normal life and was almost always treated like royalty by everyone she talked to, even her parents. Having been the type of person to get everything she ever wanted in life, it came as a surprise to her when people started hating her because she's a "homewrecker". The scandal brought so much stress on her poor little soul that she just had to have time off from her hard, hard life.

Finn Keahi
|| 31 years old || Male || Chef || From Honolulu, Hawaii || On a cruise for a chef opportunity ||
Image (FC: Jason Momoa) T A K E N
Finn was born in a small town on the coast of Hawaii with his mother and his grandmother. His father was never around because he had just been a businessman from America, passing through and sweet-talking his mother into sleeping with him. However, despite her foolishness, she still was happy to have a child on the way and loved her baby before he was even born. They didn't have much money growing up, so Finn's mother and grandmother were always working, leaving Finn to cook and clean. This is how he found his passion for cooking and eventually became an expert at it. After high school, he worked and worked and continued to pursue his passion for cooking. An opportunity to board a cruise ship and cook for a year for them arose and the paycheck was amazing, so Finn gladly took the opportunity.

Yuki Mendoza
|| 35 years old || Male || Kindergarten Teacher || From London, UK || On a cruise to simply get away

Rules:

Please no Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus and no godmodding, metagaming or powerplaying! This is in about every single roleplay ever and you've most likely already learned that, but still. Just in case!

I don't expect your posts to be like a novel, but I also don't expect it to be a single sentence. Try to make at least a paragraph, if even more. This isn't necessary, but try decorating your post a little! Add a picture, maybe change the font around a bit or something, trust me, even if you aren't all sophisticated or whatever, it sure makes you seem like it! I understand that some of you are busy and have lives, I get it, I do too, but please try to make some time for this roleplay. I don't want someone to not post for a week and miss out on a bunch of stuff. If you have even a bit of time, try to use some of it for posting. I'm not saying neglect your duties as a... human, but just please make an effort! At least once or twice every 6 days would be lovely.

Go ahead and pick which ever character floats your boat, I have no problem with that! But, only pick one character for now, 'kay? I want to wait for more people to join and choose their favorite characters too! If there are still some remaining roles at the end, then just ask in OOC or PM if you could take that character as well. To properly ask for a character, please reserve them first! I wouldn't want somebody to work hard on their character, but someone else already have it reserved without them realizing! Sorry, but I'm not accepting original character right now! The pass is this smiley face at the end of your reservation: ^Ο‰^

I'd appreciate it a lot if you all stayed OOC active, that makes things so much easier for everyone if something happens to change or there is a discussion going on. I want us all to be in this together, so please just don't forget to check in once in a while. Also, please don't even bother joining if you're going to lose interest right away. I know that sounds kinda mean, and I'm sorry, but I really don't want people that aren't going to be dedicated to this.

If I make a mistake on something, then just correct me or something politely. And you can't be mean to anyone else either. I'm not saying that I'm more important or anything, but I really want people to correct on my mistakes because I just... yeah. You can be mean character to character, but not in PM or OOC please!

I allow all kinds of swearing, but keep the swearing in character. I mean, you wouldn't have your super innocent character to sound like a sailor, right? That just wouldn't make sense. Sex is allowed if you want to but we still have to follow the site rules, so just black it out or take it to PM.

Possible Questions?
~ Roleplay Full? ~
If all the roles are taken, but you really wanna join, no problem! Just PM me or ask in OOC if we could figure out a role for you!

~ Changing Face Claims? ~
I kinda like the face claims I chose, but if you really must, then go ahead and ask to change yours and I'll either accept it or not.

Adelaide Bailey
Adelaide smiled softly at her reflection in the mirror of her cabin and pulled back, shutting her peach colored lipstick with a slight pop. She moved a strand piece of flat ironed hair from her eye and blinked her mascara coated lashes a few times before, chuckling at herself in the vanity and spinning around on the bench she was seated on. The brown haired girl grabbed her black heels an buckled them on her feet giving her the appearance of being three inches taller than her normal five foot one self.

Adelaide stood in front of the vanity and flattened down a few random creases on the tight short sleeved red dress she wore. She inhaled, exhaled and walked over to the night stand in her cabin and grabbed her hand purse. She unplugged her phone from the wall and walked out of her cabin. Outside, it was sort of chilly but she'd be going inside soon enough anyways so all would be fine. The moon reflected beautifully on the open sea and she couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. Things were going so well that whole and sadly the trip would be finished in a few more days but she'd enjoy herself until then.

Adelaide pulled her hazel eyes away from the beautiful sight and walked confidently down the deck. There was a sort of "ball" happening that night and it was a free for all event, so Adelaide and her parents were attending. She walked past a group of men and women in dark clothes holding very expensive looking cameras in their hands and raised her arched brow at them. They were either perverts or paparazzi and she hoped for the latter. But why would there be paparazzi on this ship? Adelaide wondered to herself as she walked by them, but shrugged and continued.

After walking for a while down a flight of stairs, her and a handsomely intimidating man made eye contact and smiled at each other. The man open up the door for her into a huge ballroom and she flashed him a pearly white smile.
Thank you so much.
she thanked and walked inside and somehow immediately spotted her parents amongst the big crowd of formally dressed people. They saw her as well and waved her over, so Adelaide walked up to them happily.

The night was running smoothly, Adelaide was mingling, dancing, laughing and drinking with her parents and even some new people. While she danced with her father, there was a sudden loud booming sound followed by all the lights flickering and the boat jerking roughly to the side. Many people fell over, including Adelaide, but her father was luckily there to catch her and prevent her from hurting herself. The music stopped and the mindless chattering stopped and for a few brief moments, there was complete silence. And then there was chaos.

The boat jerked to the side again except this time the fall was much harsher and both Adelaide and her father took the tumble. People began to yell, panic, run and shove and Adelaide's body just happened to be a carpet for many passing people. She covered her head and squeezed her eyes shut while people trampled her short self. Adelaide felt herself beginning to have an anxiety attack and she couldn't breathe properly. Luckily, her father finally managed to get up and to pull her up as well, taking her out onto the deck where everyone was running and screaming while the boat rocked, jerked and began tipping.

Adelaide leaned against the wall and her chest heaved painfully, her breathing becoming a chore and standing even more so. The young woman could feel the bruises from being trampled forming all over her skin, but that was the least of her concerns for the time being. Her father had ran back inside the ballroom to try and find his wife, so Adelaide was left alone. A small child came by crying and she shakily held out a hand to the little boy, trying to offer some sort of help but couldn't even form a proper sentence without breathing heavily and stuttering.

The boy ran past her, still crying and alone and she gripped her chest, shutting her eyes tightly and fearfully.
Fuck!
she cursed under her breath and that was the last thing she said before another jerk in the boat caused her to slam her head painfully against the wall behind her, knocking her unconscious.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Adelaide's cheek was pressed up against something... Moist? A sudden splash of water in her face jumped her into action and she sat up, coughing and hacking out salt water. For a few moments, she coughed but that cough soon turned into violent vomiting of purely water. She groaned in disgust and fell back on her sore behind, rubbing her eyes rapidly. Adelaide slowly peeked her eyes open and found herself blinded by the sun, so she tried again but even slower. Once her eyes were finally open and clear, she took in her surroundings. What the hell? Where am I? she wondered fearfully and tried standing up, but ended up falling right back down on her sore butt.

The teacher cringed and held her tailbone in pain, then looked down and saw that she had heels on. She groaned and quickly unbuckled them then threw them behind her, hitting a palm tree. She slowly got up and took in the sight of herself. Adelaide had bruises all over her arms and legs and she had a throbbing horrible headache. When she touched the back of her head and felt dried blood behind her damp curls, she finally recalled the night before. She blinked and looked around in fear, wondering if she was all alone on this island.
Hello?!
she screamed to no one in particular while limping painfully down the beach.
HELLO?!

ImageCarrie still felt incredibly lucky that she had won the trip. She had never been on a boat before or had truly seen the ocean. She had also never been to a ball before. She knew it wasn't as grand as it sounded. There would probably be no ballgowns and fine dances, but there would be music, food, and people. Her mind paused at people. She wasn't a huge fan of people... but what's a party without people and she does love a good party.

She looked into the mirror and added her final touches to her look. Soft pink lips, natural make-up around her eyes while accenting her them and making her lashes look darker and fuller. A light brushing of blush on her cheeks to add color to her pale face and, finally, some shimmer dust that she added to the exposed parts of her skin, save her back. She couldn't reach and had no one to help her with it.

On her ears she wore black bow diamons studs which were classy and cute. Around her neck she wore a black choker. And a white dress with an open back and shoulder straps to show off her artwork. She also wore comfortable flats that would allow her to dance without pain longer and keep her from falling flat on her face. She stepped back, took in her reflection, and smiled. For probably the first time in her life she felt beautiful. She didn't have to wear anything grand like a ballgown either.

With a deep breath, she opened her cabin door and stepped out into the night. She made her way to the "ballroom" of the ship, stopping a moment to admire the beautiful water in the reflection of the moon. It was chilly, especially in her short, backless dress, but it was a welcome feeling after the stuffiness of her cabin. Then she made her way past the cameras, posing for anyone who asked, though few did. She was probably the poorest person on the ship. The only reason she was here was because of that contest. She refused to allow the thoughts to hinder her mood. She would have fun tonight even if it killed her.

As the night continued, Carrie was enjoying herself. She had been dancing for hours and her feet were finally starting to ache so she decided to take a break for a moment and watch the others. That's when she noticed how much younger she looked than everyone else. They all seemed a good ten years older than her at best. She frowned. Who would want to be friends with someone so much younger. She grabbed a glass of champagne and downed it. Her brain started to grow fuzzy and she stood up to continue to dance.

She must've had more to drink than she thought because almost as soon as she took a step, the boat seemed to tip and the lights flickered. Or wait... was that really happening? There was a loud bang and the boat tipped once more, harder this time, sending Carrie falling into a table. Glass broke beneath her, cutting her arms. Those running went around her--thank god-- and she found herself hiding under a table. She felt her anxiety rising up in her chest, beginning to choke the air from her lungs. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to calm herself down. The last thing she needed was to panic. The space beneath the table began to be too much and she crawled out, heading towards a wall. The boat tipped violently once more and her head slammed into something hanging on the wall. She fought for consciousness for a moment, before succumbing to it.

When she thought about having fun if it killed her, she hadn't meant it literally.

ImageThe soft sound of waves crashing onto the beach filled her dreams. She suddenly wished to be there. On a tropical island under the sun, salty sea air spraying her face. Cold water splashed onto her face instead and woke with a start. She couldn't breathe. She coughed which turned to vomiting as the water that had filled her chest erupted from her throat leaving it raw and aching. Once she was able to breathe, she took deep breaths and looked around her. She was covered in sand which was making her itch and her dress was soaked through making her shiver. The cuts from the glass stung painfully from the salty water. She pushed herself up to standing, her legs wobbly, but she pushed towards a tree. Her shoes were gone and so was one of her diamond stud earrings, but that was the least of her problems. Where was she and was she alone?

The latter thought made her dizzy and nauseous with panic. She took deep breaths and decided to explore. Maybe there was a beach house nearby... or something. She hadn't been walking for long when she heard someone call out, "HELLO!" Relief swelled in her and she ran towards the sound. There was another woman just down the beach equally wet and nicely dressed. She seemed to be from the same boat. People might not be her favorite thing, but she was so happy to see this woman that she ran forward and practically tackled her to the ground. She was shaking from fear and relief. Then, once she realized what she was doing, she pulled back and ran her fingers through her wet, tangled hair. "I'm so sorry," she apologized, "But I thought.. maybe I was alone and I was scared... oh god I sound like a child." She turned her attention to the woman as she looked her over. "Are you alright? You're not hurt are you?"

Anthony was simply sitting at the open bar, scanning the dance floor for a potential lay. Sharply dressed in one of his fanciest, and most expensive suits, it wouldn't be hard. He was a very handsome man after all. Well... His appearance was handsome. His attitude was not, having just gotten out of what seemed like the hundredth meeting with the Germans. Why couldn't they just go with what he wanted and make things simple and easy for him? Well... If things were easy he wouldn't be where he was right now.

But. As of right now. He was done with meetings. One more tomorrow to go and he should have them eating out of his pocket. So he decided that it was time for an early celebration. As much booze as he could pour down the latch and hopefully (most likely) someone to share his very expensive cabin room with. This was the hard part. Because you had to find someone who wasn't with their lover, which was usually the case for these things. But. Get someone drunk enough and you could at the very least be someone's "Biggest Mistake". Which in all honesty, Anthony didn't care if he was or not. He wasn't looking for eternity. Just a one night fuck. Maybe two night if they were good enough in the sac, but that was rarely the case.

Anthony also had to make sure that he didn't start chatting up one of his business associates. That would only make this trip longer than it was. He was 101% ready to just go home. Actually. He was ready to go home the moment he stepped on the boat. Of course he didn't realize the boat had other plans for him that he didn't approve of in the slightest.

Just as he was getting some pretty lady drunk and practically in his lap (to be fair... She was practically in his lap before he offered her a drink), Anthony felt the boat move funny. Boats weren't supposed to do that he was pretty sure. Not unless they were... 'Oh shit...' He thought before verbally voicing the same statement once the boat started to fall sideways, "Oh shit!" With a lurch of the boat, Anthony was practically thrown off of his bar stool. The babe on his lap, she was thrown off. Off of him. And he would have followed her path had he not got down on the 'dirty and revolting' floor and clung for his life to the bar underneath the stool.

A thing that only helped him so long. Because eventually the boat, and he, were completely perpendicular with the ocean water below him. He was quite literally hanging for his life, gravity pulling down at his feet. And he could only hold on for so long. While people below him were screaming, drowning and dying... It was only a matter of minutes before his grip slipped and he was following their fate.

When Anthony did finally fall, thankfully no one or thing was underneath him. But the fall against the cold water wasn't exactly the most... Pleasant. In fact, had he not grabbed on the a piece of wood floating close by, he probably would have drowned. The CEO clung to this piece of wood for life as he watched the death and destruction as well as he could in the light of the moon.

Anthony wasn't sure how he passed out. But his best guess was from the cold of the water. He was freezing now... But alive. But fuck did his body hurt literally everywhere from hitting the water like he did. He groaned loudly as he rolled his face out of the sand, processing a moment before having to spit the leftover sand out of his mouth.

Once he realized his was alive, he was happy. Once he realized everything else... He was not. Anthony struggled to his feet and he start cursing up a storm. Cursing the boat! Cursing the water! Cursing his job! All the way down to cursing the fact that his expensive suit was completely and utterly ruined!!! Not to mention that he had to curse the fact that literally everything hurt. Including his head from the hangover his body decided to delightfully bestow upon him. To say he was making an awful lot of racket was an understatement.

Anthony ran his hands through his hair, trying to flatten it down a bit before brushing off as much sand as he could. "Alright... Now where the hell am I?" He wondered, looking around the island to see if there was maybe some form of civilization so he could find his way home. No... Just sand, sand, trees, rocks, a person or two, and look... MORE SAND! Anthony decided to settle his attention on the people he found laying there. Dead? Maybe.

When he heard a shout of Hello!, he swiveled his head to see a girl in the sand and another getting up to run towards her. Okay... So alive people then. And as of right now it was his best shot... He ignored the sand in his (also extremely expensive) shoes and stalked his way over to the two young ladies.

"I'd say good morning but it's not very good." Was how the male started, "Please tell me either of you two know where the hell we are and how to get out of it." He'd smile... But he wasn't exactly in a smiling sort of mood.

Yuki sat at the vanity in his modest cabin, carefully fixing his bowtie and making sure his shirt was tucked in. He smiled at his reflection, and thought about how wonderful this week away from the gremlins would be! Now, he loved his gremlins, don't get him wrong, but one could only take so much of cleaning runny noses, and settling play time disputes everyday!

Yuki giggled to himself out of excitement and kicked his legs around under the stool. Aah! Maybe I can find some cute girlies to dance with! Or a handsome man to take back to my cabin, ohohohoho! Yuki blushed and giggled to himself some more, before finally getting up and making his way to the ballroom.

---

It was quite dark outside at this point, and Yuki's cabin exited to an outdoor hallway, facing the water. Ugh... I should have booked earlier, then maybe I wouldn't have gotten a cabin facing the water... Just don't look at it, Mendy, and you'll be okay...
Yuki repeated this mantra to himself as he made his way to the ballroom, being careful to not look at the water, but also to not bump into anything or anyone.

Finally, he arrived at the ballroom, and took this much better view in.
Oh! So many pretty girls! Ah! And there's a bar here! Ohh yes... come to papa!
He rubbed his hands together cartoonishly and made his way to a bar, sitting a few stools away from a grouchy looking man in a suit.

---

A few drinks later, Yuki was relaxed and enjoying the party. The music was fun, and the view of short dresses and tight dress ants was nice. Yuki was definitely enjoying himself! Just then, the boat lurched suddenly, ending quite a few people tumbling from the dance floor, and Yuki's drink tumbling from his hand. Instantly, panic set in. All of the worries from before the boat launching returned full force, and he remembered all too vividly when he almost drowned at 12 years old.

Oh my god, I'm so stupid! Why did I choose a cruise as my vacation! Why does this have to happen to me?? Why, why why...

Before Yuki could finish his though, the boat lurched a second time, this time flipping almost all the way onto it's side. Yuki was so panicked and lost in his paranoid thoughts, that he didn't have any time to grab onto to something. Yuki was thrown from his stool, headfirst into the icy water now filling the ballroom.

---

Yuki awoke to the sounds of seagulls and waves.
Nii-chan! Nii-chan! Come play in the water with me!

Haruhi.....?
Yuki sat up and blinked the fatigue from his eyes. Suddenly, he was very aware of a pounding in his head, and how cold he was, despite the sun.

Oh my god... Oh my god..! O my god, oh my god, oh my god...

Yuki got up as quickly as he could with a splitting headache, and discovered that his arm was in severe pain. Was it broken?

As panic set in once again, he heard people talking to his right, and relief washed over him.
Oh, thank god!

Yuki hobbled over the group, and recognized the man from the bar, but the two lovely ladies he did not know.

Ah! Oh my god! Are you guys okay? What happened?? I think my arm is broken! Where are we?? Why did I go on a cruise!?

Yuki began to hyperventilate in front of his fellow refugees, and promptly fainted due to his panic attack.

ImageFinn was playing cards with a few of the other kitchen boys. Sadie the dishwasher who couldn't keep mouth shut and the prep boys David and Michael. Finn always got those two confused, which was fine so long as no one ever asked him which was which. Instead of money they were playing for stale chips leftover in the kitchen supplies. Of course the group had been invited to attend the dance being held for all on board. Finn had been adivsed by his kitchen mates that it wasn't anything special. In fact the only good thing about it was that since all the guest were occupied in the ballroom the usually off-limits deck was free. Which is where they were, enjoying the sea air. Sadie was even sitting with her legs dangling overboard.

"Check out red dress," Either michael or David said eyeing up a girl in a short red dress as she walked past them on the way to the ballroom no doubt. The other prep boy made an appreciate whistle.

Finn shook his head with a good humored smile and a puff on his cigarette. "Keep your eyes on the game boys,"
He said with a slight laugh. Those two fancied every girl they ever laid eyes on. Though Finn couldn't help noticing the red-dress girl was something special. They group went back to their poker game and fell back into their easy rythym. It was one of those night that was so peaceful you'd wish it'd last forever.

Finn was just openning a new packet of cigerttes when the boat lurched suddenly. Finn's struggled to keep hold of his cigarettes, which was his main priority. Whilst the two prep boys grabbed for the stale chips the were using as chips for their card game. "Shit." Finn said pocketing his cigarettes safely in his pocket. "We should get inside." He sad moving to get up.

All the other three just grinned carelessly. "Don't be such a scaredy cat Finn," Sadie called with a laugh as she slipped under the gaurd rail and hanged over the edge. "It's just a little wavey. Happens all the time." She grinned and grabbed his hand pulling Finn to join her over the edge. Her carefree behaviour caused Finn to relax. This was his first cruise rotation as a chef on this boat, but these guys had been working in the boats kitchen for years. If they said it was alright who was he to say anything.

He realised immediately that he should had of said something at the boat lurched even more and a waves crashed over the side of the boat. Then when the waves subsided and rolled back into the sea Sadie was no where to be seen. "Sadie!" Finn called leaning over the edge, the waves were more choppy than Finn had ever seen in his years surfing. He couldn't see anything down there it was too dark. Then before he could call for help the boat practically turned upright and Finn was flown from the boat into the dark, cold sea.

Finn has no clue how long he struggled into the wavey water. Everytime he found his way to the surface a waves crashed over him sending him tumbling back down into the seas icey depths. Then when ever he tried to swim anywhere the debris from the boat kept slamming into him sending him sprawling in all directions. All he knows is evetually it all went dark.

When Finn opened his eyes next, he was pearing up at a blue sky. After a few second of piece he immediately rolled over and spewed out what felt like a lake of salt water. He coughed a few times to make sure the salt was all out of his system before he sat up and examined his surroundings. A desserted Island. How original.

By now surely someone had recieved a mayday call from the ship. They had to be search and rescue people searching the nearby waters. Hopefully Sadie, Michael and David had all gotten their way to safety like Finn had. Finn got to his feet but groaned at the pain going all the way up his right side. Putting his hand to the pain he discovered his side was covered in old blood. No doubt some of the debris in the ocean and torn open his side. They same way it seemed to have cut open almost the entire of the rest of his body.

He wandered off the beach into the more dense foresty area to take a piss and when he returned to the beach he heard voices. Which when he followed brought him to a group of people who were either from the same ship as him or the best dressed Island people he'd ever met. He made his way across the beach to them rather slowly. His muscles were still very sore, and he wanted to be sure not to open his side wound back up.

"Boys. Girls." He greeted with a croaky voice then usual. He tried his hand at a half-hearted grin. "Could be worse. At least we got some pretty girls to looked at," He joked with a cough to clear his lungs. Michael and David would be angry if they could see him marooned with Red dress. Then he looked down at the fainted guy at all of their feet. "Is that guy all right?"

The gala was a magnificent event, although Chris and Ally hardly noticed anyone beyond themselves. They were in a world all their own, created by the charming atmosphere and the champagne bubbles swirling in their heads. Whatever it was, they danced, held hands, kissed and chatted like they were at their senior prom.

Running low on bubbly Chris went to fill their champagne glasses, while Ally pulled out her mirror to reapply her lipstick. A loud thunderous sound echoed throughout the ballroom, the flickering lights didn't seem to cause concern, until the ship violently jolted to one side. Chris stumbled, spilling the champagne down the front of his suit. The ship again lurched sending many people toppling to the dance floor. Chris looked in Ally's direction she had fallen hard to her knees. Tears started welling up in her eyes. He threw his glasses down and began to run towards her, but the chaos was ensuing throughout the ballroom stopping him in his tracks.

What was delightful a moment ago, was now a dangerous scene of running panicking people. The soothing music was replaced with wails and screams. Chris hurriedly tried to help the people around him off the floor, but instead he was being pulled down. The ship continued to violently jerk to one side. He got up once again and jumped over the people on the floor making his way to his love. Ally was holding on tightly to a pole, as mascara ran down her cheeks, with an alarming look on her face. Their eyes locked. She reached her hand out towards Chris. He tried to grab it, when suddenly the ship forcefully threw anyone standing upright to the floor The lights flickered, then dimmed, and finally there was darkness.

Face down in the hot sand was suffocating Ally. She fought to roll over but her body denied her. She tried to slow her breathing and remain calm. Every time she breathe the sand would shift into her nose, threatening to snuff out her life. She struggled to moved her face to the side, but her entire back was in excruciating pain. So she laid still and listen intently to the people further down the beach, hoping someone would notice her and help.

He slowly drug his water soaked body to the shore. His face had a gash across the cheek and his head hurt like an elephant stomped on it, but all in all he seemed okay. Sitting on the warm sand he took a moment to warm up and energize. All he could remembered was reaching for Ally's hand, then the ship tipped on it's side. He recalled going under the water several times and fighting his way to the surface. The debris from shipwreck was scattered for miles. People were scrambling for anything to hold onto before the next wave pushed them undered. Finally, an ornate chest floated his way, he draped himself over it and passed out before he could yell for Ally.

Chris' legs were a bit wobbly as he stood. He surveyed the shore, down one side in the distant he saw what he assume were castaways, but they were too far away to hear. Turning he took in the devastation of the shipwreck as endless debris washed up on the shore. Squinting to see if Ally or anyone else was in that direction, but all he saw was the broken up cruise ship. Chris called out for Ally, but his voice was barely above a whisper, because the salt water had made his throat raw.

Walking towards the castaways he saw movement on the beach. With what energy he had left he slowly jogged towards the movement. Once there, the shock of what he saw caused the bile to build up, until he turned and puked. This person's back was mutilated. There was very little skin left and the spine was exposed from neck to tailbone. They looked like a voodoo doll with debris and bone sticking out all over the red infected flesh. "Lay still. You are going to be okay. I'll be back in a minute." He mumbled. He quickened his pace to a wardrobe closet grabbed some cotton shirts and ran back to the victim. He knelt down beside the person, blew as much sand off their back as he could, then swiftly pulled out what debris and bones he dared. Low moans came from the person with every removal. Chris took the shirts and laid them gently across their back bandaging the flesh from more injury. The shipmate's irregular breathing became a concern and Chris knew he had to turn them or they would suffocate. He cautiously rolled their back towards him, then he stuffed some shirts under their side so they would not roll back into the sandpit or on their back. Scooting to their face side, he brushed the hair back off their face....tears streamed down his face, as he recognized his own beloved. Ally's eyes fluttered open, she tried to speak but words could not form. Chris tenderly took her in his arms and held her till she closed her eyes never to open them again.
"NOOOO OH my Ally"wailing and cursing at the sky, Chris stooped over in despair.

Adelaide Bailey
Adelaide looked around her desperately, feeling like she was beginning to lose hope but then she saw a tattooed beauty running towards her. First there was fear, then shock that there was actually another person on this island and then there was pain from being tackled into such a strong hug. She looked up at the girl and couldn't help grinning at her words and let out a small chuckle.
I've felt better, I'll admit, but aside from a questionable head injury, I only have bruises on me.
she told the tattooed girl honestly before slowly and painfully getting up to her feet, holding out a hand for her to take.

I'd say good morning but it's not very good.

Her attention was quickly turned to the voice and cursed herself for not having seen him approaching earlier. She'd have to be very careful of her surroundings from now on, as she wasn't entirely sure of what this island was. The brunette shrugged at the grumpy man and crossed her bruised arms.
Sorry, I'm just a teacher. I have no idea what the hell happened-
Her mind suddenly wandered to her parents and their possible death, causing her to go silent. She watched the Asian man come up to them and watched him faint, her eyes going wide at the sight.
O-Oh my gosh!
she said in shock, the thought of her parents still in her mind but she chose to hide that for the time being.

Adelaide looked around at the other two in shock, unsure of what to do with the fainted man in front of her, when suddenly another man came up to them. She couldn't help but crack a grin at what the guy said about "pretty girls" but quickly turned her attention to the fainted man when the new guy brought him up.
I have no idea what happened to him, he just ran up and... Fainted? I hope he's not dead...
she muttered the last part almost to herself and ducked down to his level to feel for a pulse.
Well, he's not dead.
she informed them but couldn't help being extremely worried about not only the fainted man but the situation they were in. Sudden desperate screaming increased her already rising anxiety and she looked around at the group, her eyes landing finally on the tattooed girl.
That did not sound good.

Carrie Fable
Dialogue Color | #996633 | Thought Color | #bf80ff
Face Claim | Hannah Snowdon

Image Carrie smiled at the woman before her, glad that her newfound companion wasn't hurt too badly. She opened her mouth to ask where the woman thought they were or what she thought happened to the ship, when people started appearing like spectres on the beach. One moment they weren't there, the next they were. The first was a man who looked as if he had been quite well dressed back on the ship, but his clothing hung loose and in tatters. The second man was full of anxious energy that led to him fainting at their feet. Carrie stepped back, not knowing quite what to do. Part of her wanted to help the man, but another part of her wanted to hide behind her companion. She opted for the latter and moved.

The Last man made her tense. His voice was rough, though she knew it was probably from the salty water and he looked at her and her female companion with an interest that made her uncomfortable. She grabbed on to the back of the woman's dress as if to alert her to her distress. It was strange she had latched onto someone so soon. Possibly because she was the only other woman on the island. At least, that was the case so far.

Then there were the screams. They came from the same person, probably a man based on the sound. It was pure anguish and pain that rang through the air. Despite her fear, she let go of her companion and ran down the beach. The man clearly needed help and she couldn't stand there and listen. When she found him on the beach, he was clutching another woman to his chest. It was clear she meant a great deal to him and that she was no longer of the living. Carrie sucked in a surprised breath at what she found and she ran up to the man. She kneeled in the sand before him. Then she realized, she didn't know what to do. She couldn't raise the dead which was clearly what would've made his pain stop. The only thing she could offer him was words.

ImageShe reached out and cupped his cheek in her hand, raising his head just a little so he would look at her. "Hun, she's gone. You need to let her go." She released his face and continued, "And by that I mean physically. You can hold on to her here," she poked a finger at his chest where his heart was. "as long as you need to." She knew they probably weren't the best words of advice, but there was no bringing her back and if he was going on be their companion on this island, than he had to let go of the body and give her a proper send off. Otherwise, he would be stuck on this beach alone and they had no idea where they were, or what could possibly be in the forest behind them. As if realizing for the first time where they were, she gazed behind her with a slight fear in her eyes. It was probably just a normal island, but she had seen enough movies to know that not everything was as it seemed. She didn't believe in magic, but she did believe in monsters of the very real kind. Animals much larger than her who could kill her in the swipe of a paw.

ImageHis pain hung in the air, like a dense fog on a cold winter's night. Waves of sorrow hit
Chris like a thousand knives continuously stabbing his heart . He couldn't breathe.
He couldn't think. At least, not about anything but his loss. His throat thicken from
the salt water and wailing, making his verbal sadness subsided, leaving him silently
clutching Ally to his chest.

The doctor in him understood he was obligated to check on the other castaways.
His husband side knew the moment he got up, it would be the last time he would
ever hold her in his arms again. "I don't know how to leave you Ally,"he whispered
through his tears.

He closed his eyes.............
Image
Meadows of orange poppies dance softly in the wind while Ally frolic among them, skipping and
spinning merrily. Occasionally her flowy white dress clung to her baby bump. She radiated beauty.

Image

Summer after their junior year Chris carved their names in old
oak tree for their second anniversary. It was under the same tree
where they first confessed their love for one another the year before.
They lingered on a plaid blanket under the their symbol of devotion,
kissing and slowly making love under the stars, for the first time.

Image
Chris breifly smiled remembering their
graduation present from their folks, a week
at the beach with no grueling deadlines.
After their vacation they would pack-up
their lives and move across country to the
West Coast, as Doctor and Lawyer. Until
that time they danced on the beach
every evening at sunset.

Image
Valentines Day was always a competition for Chris and Ally. It was all about who could outdo who. In the beginning of their relationship they would exchange handmade gifts; then they had a money cap, but as they grew in their careers the sky was the limit. On one such Valentines Day, Ally gave Chris a treasure map that lead him around town from clue to clue. Finally he found her with a picnic breakfast by a creek. They ate bagels and drank sweet juice. Afterwards they walked hand and hand over a steep hill right into the backyard of this beautiful storybook house. Ally wanted to peek in the gingerbread windows but Chris kept pulling her away. They walked to the front of the house where there was a huge heart across the front door. There was a note on the heart, "Welcome home Chris." Chris was speechless with delight. She had won that year. It was the best gift he had ever gotten for Valentines Day.

He stopped his loop of memories when felt a shadow blocking the sun. He struggled to open his eyes. A petite brunette stood before him.She reached out and cupped his cheek in her hand, raising his head just a little so he would look at her."Hun, she's gone. You need to let her go." She released his face and continued, "And by that I mean physically. You can hold on to her here," she poked a finger at his chest where his heart was."as long as you need to."

Chris shook his head with understanding, kissed Ally's forehead and gently laid her down in the sand. " I need to bury her. Will you help me?" He asked with a quivering voice. Chris left her and began looking around for something to dig with. He found a dented up metal teapot. Cleared a spot not far away and began to dig.

Saga looked in the mirror with a small smile. For once in her life she was able to pick out her own clothing, she didn't need an assistant to help her. The Australian woman fixed her dark blue dress, giving her outfit another once over before grabbing her small clutch filled with nothing but lip stick, and some perfume. Walking out of her luxury cabin Saga decided to take the outside walkway to get to the ball, which was the main event she was looking forward to. The wind was a bit chilly, causing Saga to shiver and hold her exposed arms across her chest, rubbing them slightly. However she smiled wide, saying hello to whoever she passed, giving little waves. She stopped smiling, however, when she noticed the paparazzi waiting outside one of the doors to the ball. She stopped walking, her face dropping into a annoyed look. 'They seriously bout an expensive ticket to a cruse just for some pictures?' Saga thought, glaring. After a few moments she decided that maybe walking outside wasn't the best idea.

Back tracking a bit, she walked into one of the hallways, and into the ballroom. Her smile was back as she looked around the elegantly decorated room. There were a lot of people, some recognizing her while others were too drunk or busy dancing to notice her. Thankfully there were no paparazzi, only guests allowed. Saga mingled around for a bit, grabbing some punch and sipping it. Hopefully it wasn't like in the TV shows where the punch was always spiked. After a while of just smiling at people who made eye contact with her, Saga started to feel a bit lonely. No one went up and talked to her, other than to confirm that she was in fact Saga James, from all the movies. Most of the people were drunk, and the others just awkwardly nodded before walking away. She frowned into her drink and started to move through the people to get back to her cabin. She stopped, however, when a man suddenly came up and stopped her by stepping right in front of her. He was tall, three or so inches taller than her, and he had the most handsome grey eyes. Saga stared up at him for a moment before her eyebrows furrowed together. "Excuse me," She mumbled, trying to slip past.

The man stopped her by holding a hand out. "No, no! Sorry, I froze, I didn't realize you were even more beautiful up close. I saw you standing alone, you looked upset," The man said. Saga stopped and looked up at him. She didn't know how to feel, the pick up line bothered her, and the fact that she visibly looked so upset that a stranger from across the room could tell bothered her as well."Well I'm okay. Sir can I please get past, I want to leave," She mumbled. The man frowned, and didn't move. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you... Here, let me get you something stronger," He took Saga's drink from her hand, "I thought maybe we could hang together, seeing as I'm rather alone as well." Saga looked at the man a bit longer, confusion in her eyes, but nodded. "Okay, but if I feel like you're trying to get into my pants, I'm leaving." The man smiled, and held out his hand. "I promise I'm not interested in that... My name's Derik, by the way, and you must be Ms. Saga James. I love all your movies, by the way." Saga shook his hand, smiling at the man. "I'm glad."

There was a clashing of glass as Saga laughed hysterically at on of Derik's jokes, taking a sip from her glass of whisky, which she'd been drinking the entire night. "I'm still astonished you're a whisky girl! Are you sure you're not a sixty year old man?" Derik asked with a wink. Saga laughed more, shaking her head. "I like a bite to my drink, what can I say? Isn't there like some saying that a girl likes a drink that's the opposite of her?" Saga thought for a moment before shaking her head. "No, there's not, but that's a creative saying you just made up there," Derik laughed. They went silent for a while, both of them taking a sip from their drinks. Suddenly there was a very noticeable shudder, and a loud boom. Saga put her drink down, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she looked around. "What was that?" Derik was also looking around. "I don't know... Turbulence?" Derik joked, his voice one of the only sounds being heard. Saga frowned and looked at Derik. "That's on planes, Derik, this is a boat. We shouldn't be able to feel a-" Saga was cut off by another, much more powerful, shudder. The entire boat rocked, and soon everyone was screaming and running. Saga was holding onto the edge of the bar, trying to avoid anyone who was blindly running.

"What the hell?!" Derik exclaimed, getting up. Saga watched as people got trampled. She gasped, putting a hand to her mouth in shock as one man fell, no one stopping to avoid him, he just kept getting run over. Quickly Saga got up, shoving through the screaming crowed, and grabbing the man. He didn't even say thank you, just shoved Saga away and sprinted. The only reason Saga didn't fall back and end up just like the man was because Derik had followed her, catching her and pulling her out of the sea of people. "Stay here, I'm going to go see what's going on!" Derik said, rushing away without another word. "Derik, no, don't!" Saga yelled, reaching for him, but he was already gone. Cursing, Saga ran out of the ball room, and out onto the deck. It was even worse up there. People were rushing around, some fell into the pool, some fell over bored. Freaking out, Saga turned and tried to go back to the ballroom, not sure what to do. However, there was a sudden jolt sending Sagas head flying into a door frame. Her vision blurred, and she could instantly feel the blood pouring down her face.

Saga groaned, holding her face, stumbling backwards. The pain was distracting and burning, causing her to not even realize she was falling off the side of the boat until she landed on one of the life rafts, which were hanging about fifty feet below the deck. Saga grunted, her back now screaming in pain as well. Saga looked up, listening to the people scream before her vision went blurry, the last thing she remembers is Derik calling down to her from the deck before she passed out.

[center]It took Saga hours to wake up. And when she did the only thing she saw was the bright blue sky above her, some birds circling the boat. The only thing she felt was pain. Her lips were cracked, her face was sunburned, her temple probably had a massive gash on it, and she could tell her back was going to be soar and bruised for a long time. It took her a while to realize that she was actually moving, kinda. Saga could tell the boat she was in was hitting up against something, rocking backwards before moving forwards and hitting a hard surface. Slowly she sat up, groaning and wincing. Looking around, Saga saw that she wasn't even close to the boat. In fact there wasn't even a boat. Just a bunch of debris floating on the water. Saga looked in back of her to see something she totally wasn't expecting. An island. Her eyebrows furrowed together as she stared at the land mark for a while.

Slowly she scanned the shoreline, she was hitting a gathering of rocks only a couple of yards off of where the waves break. Saga couldn't see any sign of anyone, causing her heart to pick up with anxiety. There was no way she was staying in the boat, that was pointless, but she didn't want to jump into the water either. The first thing she tried was going to the front of the boat and pushing it away from the rocks. That, however, didn't work. If she even tried to get close to the front of the boat, it wobbled dangerously, threatening to throw her in. She then tried to paddle with her hands. Of course no such luck, the only thing she succeeded in doing is getting her hands wet. Frowning Saga stared down at the water for a long time. After careful consideration, she simply jumped into the water. It, of course, was cold, causing Saga to break to the surface gasping in shock. She freaked out for a split second, getting pushed away from her boat by the current, and the water kept splashing her in the face.

Soon, though, she was past the area where the waves broke, and on the shore, stumbling onto the soft sand, falling to her hands and knees when she was a good distance away from the water line. There was washed up shrapnel everywhere, but no sign of people. Huffing, Saga took off her heals and started to walk. For a hour or so Saga had managed to start to think that she was simply walking on the beach for fun, but that idea was thrown out the window when she noticed there was someone laying face down on the sand. Saga froze, and ran over to the person. She crashed down, kneeling next to them, quickly rolling them over. Instantly she pulled away, and threw up all the whiskey she had drank before. The person, a young woman, had her entire chest and stomach ripped open, all her organs mysteriously gone, no sign of them anywhere on the beach. She'd clearly been dead for multiple hours, her skin pale and bodily fluids leaking out of her, such as puss and other unmentionable messes.

Getting up in a hurry, Saga stumbled away from the woman, tears starting to flow down her sunburnt face, trying to ignore the image that was now burned into her memory. She then walked for what felt like days, although it was only a few more hours, when she suddenly realized she could hear something, aside from the constant movement of water, and birds chirping. She could hear... Crying? Saga's eyes went wide as she broke into a fast jog, running around the corner of the island to see a man, alive, holding a person on the ground. Around him were a few people. Saga's heart skipped a beat seeing that there were other people, alive and with their organs still intact, with her. "H-Hey!" She called out, her voice hores from the salt water. Breaking into a sprint Saga rushed down the beach, over to the people, starting to slow when she realized that the person the man was holding was dead. Her face dropped as she slowed to a stop, eyes wide as she stared at the dead figure. The people were talking as the man set the body down, and started to dig a grave. Saga stood there, her mouth open as she just watched.

People were just popping up left and right. While Anthony was kinda glad so many people mad it, he was still highly annoyed. Three other live men and three live women. Plus one dead girl. 'Well this sucks...' The CEO couldn't help but think, 'I wonder if there's actually a chance of us getting off of this place.'

To say he didn't care about the death of the girl was only... Partially correct. He knew she meant a lot to the guy. And people all had loved ones. But he didn't know her. Or him. So he wasn't sad. Plus... Hundreds of other people are probably floating along the sea floor dead by now.

Anthony kept his mouth shut while he watched the guy bury the girl, even though in his opinion it would have been easier just to push her into the ocean. Burial at sea was still a thing, right?

He decided to let the guy bury his... Whatever she was. Loved one. And turned his attention to the people standing there gawking at the dead body. "If you ask me. Funerals aren't my thing. So I'm going to go either look for other alive people, because there seem to be a lot of them. Or a way off of this island. Any of you are free to join me. Or stay here." Anthony stated simply. Deciding not to sound entirely like an insensitive ass to the upset man, he turned to say a simple, "Sorry for your loss." Even if he didn't exactly care, he still knew how to be polite.

Fuck. He really hoped he wasn't going to be stuck here.
And that's kinda how it was looking...

Adelaide Bailey
Adelaide watched the tattooed girl immediately break out into a run towards the sound of the scream and despite the fearful situation behind her eagerness, she couldn't help but smile slightly at her running figure, as she seemed like a trustworthy companion who is eager to be of help to people. Speaking of helping people... Adelaide looked down at the passed out man again and exhaled. She didn't care too much that almost everyone left to see the man, he seemed to be in need of help so she decided to do what she could to help this guy before her. Adelaide frantically looked around for anything to use to wake him up when a wave splashed her feet, causing her to remember throwing it all up.

Her throat still burned from the feeling of puking up pure alcohol and salt water and her stomach began doing flips again. Adelaide hated puking with a passion and was quite scared of doing it, so much so that she would sit there nauseated for hours on end instead of simply puking out whatever was infecting her from the inside. She decided not to use water as a way to wake up the Asian man and bit her lip, looking around. Her eyes landed on the giant man that still stood before her and suddenly became aware of just how short she was compared to him.
So, what do you think? Should I wake him up harshly or go easy on the poor guy?
She asked, trying to make light of the situation despite her obvious anxiousness about the whole situation.

Image Finn watched as in response to his question, the girl in the red dress bent down to check the Asian man's pulse. After a few seconds she confirmed, "Well, he's not dead." Finn nodded little bit reassuring himself that everything was okay so far, despite the ache in his side. The he heard some loud wailing from down the beach a little. The small girl in the white dress was off like a bullet followed by a few others. Finn didn't dare move a muscle. He had an idea of what they were going to find and he personally had no interest in confirming it. Plus, there'd surely be enough hands on deck over there, they didn't need him. Though suddenly the boat crash felt a lot more real.

"So, what do you think? Should I wake him up harshly or go easy on the poor guy?" Finn blinked a little when he realized he wasn't the only person who hadn't gone running after the anguished screams. He gave a croaky laughed when he realized red dress had made a joke. Though Finn didn't exactly feel like giving out a full bellied laugh right now. He awkwardly ducked down to a crouch beside the fainted guy. His aching muscles and fresh wounds making his movements rather awkward and clipped.

He gave a look to the girl in red, before looking down at the Asian man. He brought his hand up and clicked a few times in front of the man's face. "Wakey, wakey,"
He said. After a few seconds though he decided to step up his efforts to wake the man. He grabbed the guy's shoulder and shook him a little. "C'mon man," He said a little louder, before lightly slapping him a few times on the cheek. Finn got to his feet deciding that he'd done enough to wake the guy up.

Finn straightened up and looked over the rest of the group. The cries had stopped and now there was a guy, in what once was probably a nice suit, leaving the group. "Any of you are free to join me. Or stay here." Grinning, Finn turned to the red dress girl with a 'what can you do?' shrug and then turned back up the beach. "Hey, wait up," He called as he attempted a jog to catch up with the guy. Though the pain in Finn's side immediately turned his jog into a walk. He was just happy to have a reason to move away from the wreckage of this beach. "Let's go," Finn said in probably the most relaxed voice he'd had since waking up on this beach. Perhaps there was a chance he could just pretend he was on an adventure hike with some friends back in Hawaii. He clapped the guy on the shoulder and headed along the beach.

Carrie Fable
Dialogue Color | #996633 | Thought Color | #bf80ff
Face Claim | Hannah Snowdon

Image Carrie smiled softly at the man and nodded. "Of course." She started to look around for anything she could use to dig a hole. There were bits of wood, a few broken shards of porcelain, probably from pots. The only thing she found that was in tact and could possibly help her dig was a metal tray. She frowned at it, knowing it would probably bend with enough force, but hoped it wouldn't come to that. Looking around her, Carrie realized that they were alone on this part of the beach. The girl from earlier had stayed behind as well as the man who made her uneasy. The once sharply dressed man had followed only to turn back in disgust. He would definitely be someone she would watch. A man like that could easily become a threat if it meant saving his own skin. She scoffed at his retreating figure.

She stuck one end of the tray into the sand beside the man, and shoveled up the sand. Then she thought for a moment. "Maybe we should bury her a bit further up shore. I don't know how high the tide comes in and we don't want her body to wash away. It would undo everything." She looked at the woman with sad eyes. Such a shame whatever happened had taken her life. She hadn't lost anyone she truly loved. So hadn't felt anything similar, but based on the look on the man's face, she knew it wasn't a good one.

"Have you thought of maybe cremating her?" she said softly. "I mean... obviously this isn't something you've really been able to think about considering it just happened, but that way maybe you could even take a bit of her home with you." She openly cringed at her words. They were almost an oxymoron. The morbid with the hopeful. If we ever get home She thought.

"By the way, I'm Carrie. I know that's Ally. What's your name?"

The blistering sun threaten to drain him of his already limited energy. Digging in the sand was torturous. Every time he'd make some headway, cascades of sand would tumble back into her grave. He had asked the tattooed brunette if she would help. She softly responded, "Of course." He slightly raised his head, barely able to speak "Thank you" Digging a little more, Chris became frustrated with his progress, he threw his digging tool across the sand, it cluck as it bounce off a part of the ship's siding. "Damn it! I can't even bury her right!" Stooped over, hands on his knees, trying to calm himself, his thoughts were interrupted "H-Hey!" he looked up and saw a battered lady sprinting towards them. She stopped short of the makeshift grave and stood there with her mouth opened. Chris nodded at her. then walked over to his digger and started moving the relentless sand again.

Not long after a man sauntered over. One might assume, from what use to be his costly suit, that he was some sort of businessman or someone who was trying to impress others around him. He stood there for a long time and neither offered to help or say a word. Almost like it was beneath him and he didn't want to get dirt under his fingernails. Finally, he turned his attention to the people standing there gawking at the dead body. "If you ask me. Funerals aren't my thing. So I'm going to go either look for other alive people, because there seem to be a lot of them. Or a way off of this island. Any of you are free to join me. Or stay here." The guy in the expensive suit stated simply,"Sorry for your loss." Then the suit walked away.

Chris looked up and shook his head in disbelief. The redhead lady was still standing there in shock. In that split second of a glance he took, she looked very familiar to him. At the moment he didn't have the desire or energy to want to know more about her and kept digging. The tattoo girl came over and started helping him with a metal tray. She was a hard worker and didn't complain. "Maybe we should bury her a bit further up shore. I don't know how high the tide comes in and we don't want her body to wash away. It would undo everything." In his grief he had not thought about that possibility." Have you thought of maybe cremating her?" she said softly. "I mean... obviously this isn't something you've really been able to think about considering it just happened, but that way maybe you could even take a bit of her home with you."" The impact of her words hit him hard. He was burying the girl he loved for the last 19 years. "By the way, I'm Carrie. I know that's Ally. What's your name?" With Ally's name floating in the air, Chris lost looked conveyed all his feelings. Chris......Chris Thorn. Chris forced a small smile and they continued to work in silence.

After some time pass Chris cleared his throat "Your ideas, were good. I just thought you should know" They dug until the sun was past midday closing in on the horizon. "In a few hours it would be too dark to find or build a shelter." It was time. The grave was deep enough for his beloved. Chris gently lifted her already rigid body off the sand and walked his last walk with her. Lowering her into the dampish sand pit, he brushed her hair to the side and straighten her dress. Standing with his hands clasped in front of him he turned to Carrie, "I would like to say a few words if you don't mind. I asked my father once why all the best people die. He said, when you are in a garden which flowers do you pick first....the beautiful ones." Ally you were beautiful inside and out. I will always hold you here " he put a hand over his heart " forever."

Image

As an afterthought, he bent down into the shallow grave and took the necklace off Ally and handed it to Carrie."I don't have the words to express my feelings, but thank you. I wouldn't of made it without you today " Without delay he began covering her body with the warm sand. It didn't take as long to fill in the grave as it did to dig it. "Carrie was right. The tide might wash Ally to sea or animals dig her up" Then he started foraging among the rubble. Carrying as much heavy stuff as he could to put on her grave. When he was done he made a cross out of two spindles from the ballroom and lashed them together with a shoelace and it became the place marker for Ally Thorn.

Carrie Fable
Dialogue Color | #996633 | Thought Color | #bf80ff
Face Claim | Hannah Snowdon

Image Carrie smiled softly at the man, a little impressed at how well he was holding himself together. She felt a movement to her left and turned. She jumped a little in her skin at the sudden appearance of the woman. "Uh... hi." Was all she said. The woman was staring at the scene before her and seemed to be in shock. Carrie thought that if they weren't on some strange island, she would've looked for a blanket or towel to wrap the woman in and have her sit. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

After the hours of digging in the sun, Carrie was sure her shoulders would be red and sunburned and her palms stung with possible blisters from digging with the tray. At some point he had commented on her ideas, but it had been so long after the fact that she simply smiled and nodded, but didn't say anything else. Also, she discovered, his name was Chris.

She could tell by the set of Chris's shoulders that the hole was finished and it was time to bury Ally. She thought to offer her help in moving her, but he seemed to be doing alright and he probably figured it was his burden to bare. She took a step back, allowing him all the space he needed to set her inside and say a few words. When he finished, she stepped forwards and said, "I wasn't given the opportunity to meet you, but I'm sure I would've liked you." She glanced at Chris before looking back down at Ally. "I saw the two of you dancing last night and thought you looked very happy. You looked lovely in your dress. Farewell and Fairwinds." She took a step back and allowed Chris another moment. He reached into the hole and plucked a necklace from around Ally's neck. Then he turned and handed it to her.

She stared down at the beautiful locket like ball in her hand and then up at Chris, back at the necklace, up at Chris, back at the necklace, and then back at Chris. "I can't accept this. Don't you want to keep it? Something to hold on to?" Her voice was quiet and confused. At first, he didn't seem to hear her. He was busy finding heavy things to keep Ally's grave protected. Without another option, she attached the chain together around her neck and went to work helping him out.
