Asalie Reever

I intend to carry out my duty to the queen and her daughter with an owl on my shoulder.

0 · 369 views · located in Earth

a character in “Lost in the Universe”, as played by Lacare

Description

Yes, she looks like a sim character because that's how I originally made her and I don't particularly want to find a picture that is exactly that just in RL form. That might even be nearly impossible, so yes. On to the important stuff:

Asalie is only nineteen years old, but an excellent warrior all the same. She likes to dress in dresses, or shirt and skirt combo, with flats. For some reason it just works for her. Besides that, she throws knives and adores using the simple bow and arrows. As a young girl in training for being a royal guard and warrior, she was injected with something that gave her control over her chosen element. They gave her two options: water or earth. They told her that her temperament, calm, smooth, and silent as it was could not handle the rage of fire, the extremes of light or dark, the fury of air's tornados and vicious storms, and the power over time was certainly not about to be given to just anybody. Out of her options, she chose earth because she had always felt one with nature anyways and it seemed only natural that she choose it. Now, she is fighting with her power, alongside the other warriors hand-picked for this mission, to find the princess, regain the young lady's memories, and bring her back safely to her home on Sonata.

So begins...

Asalie waited for what seemed like far too long to be teleported down to Earth, lonely besides my owl, Crestor. She had already determined that he will travel with her because he is from Earth, so he will look like any other old barn owl. Finally, one of the queen's servants entered the room, motioning and reminding her that she should be ready for teleportation. She nodded and generously curtsied to him before going over to the teleporter to wait. Not long after the servant came, a teleportation expert followed.

"Now, remember to keep very still and keep your bird still too, otherwise neither of you will teleport right and something bad could happen to you." The gentleman reminds me before hitting a few buttons. He glances up at Asalie and she taps Crestor's beak once, telling him to stop moving around and to make no motions. She then allowed her own body to find a comfortable position before also freezing, watching the expert press down on the main button of the operation.

What seems like only seconds later, but really it was more like hours later, Asalie found herself on the edge of a deep forest and saw a few houses nearby. They wouldn't have sent her there unless they had a purpose to send her there. She pauses for a moment and wonders if one of those houses is where the criminal himself lives or where the beloved princess lives. Either way, she thinks she should begin to scope them out and hopefully soon she will meet up with the other warriors. Throwing Crestor up into the air, she began to walk over to the homes, watching him fly far above her head. As it was daylight when they arrived, he was not exactly appreciative of being awake and she knew she would have to let him sleep soon or his eyesight may be injured.

Sebastian stopped watching the castle of Sonata through a mirror generated by the flame generated from his hand. He narrowed his eyes, pondering Soren's words. His mirror shifted over to Asalie's location.

"Earth, Fire responding. I'm sending you the coordinates of our location. You should be able to track my heat signature through tectonic activity if we move. Be careful, I don't believe that the enemy is acting alone," he said grimly.

Sebastian observed Astra's status, "It isn't possible that he figured out my location, so another warrior must be close by. There also shouldn't be a reason he has discovered your identity so easily, Mireille. Something isn't right." He seemed to be pondering to himself, moreso than he was talking to Anna directly.

He looked over at Anna, "What does the future tell you about the outcome of this?"

Right when he asked the question, a call came in from Sonata to him. He conjured flames again, this time greeted by the face of one of the Queen's maidens.
"Fire Warrior. I'm sending you orders from-" she began
"Save it," Sebastian spat, "I know what the Queen wants. Tell her I will not honor her request. I gave Astra's father my word that no harm will come to her. This promise is held in the highest esteem; it is the Dying King's Vow that I uphold. None shall break it."
"But Seb-"
"None shall break it," he stated harshly. Then he ended the call, extinguishing the flame in case of Astra's sudden consciousness.

Asalie listened intently for the call as Crestor rested his eyes. Finally, something came in from the fire warrior. "Thank you!" She spoke into her watch, before turning back to the watch portion of the watch and checking the time once again. She then pressed a button on it and turned it into the coordinate map and waited for his coordinates. They came in after a moment and she gently poked Crestor to wake him as she stood up. Holding her arm out for him as she finished clasping her watch back onto her wrist, she watched him fly up to her. "Ready to find the others?" She softly asked him, touching his wing.

She started off, paying close attention to the coordinates and the tiny map that had appeared on her watch. Finally, she reached the area. Following the heat registers from the tectonic plates, she was able to find them not far off. She slipped near all of them and evaluated the situation for a moment. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly at the young man who was not of their contingent. Preferring not to say anything, she stayed a few feet away from them all, waiting her chance to step in.

Frederick yelped as he was kicked to the ground, glaring up at the princess. "To kick a flower like me," he sniffed, "your manners are unsightly, my dear princess," he stood up wearily, brushing his clothes into place and then grasping hold of his hair, inspecting it closely. "Aww, and you messed up my hair which I spent so long on making it look decent..." he continued, gazing at her accusingly, "you're a little boy-girl, aren't you? There's quite some power in those pretty legs of yours." he trailed off and paused as she asked who he was. "I'm Frederick Smith..." he mused, "not that you would know who I am, I'm new to this town," He yawned and then waved his hand in dismissal. "Darling, I'm too old for you... any of you, really, but I suppose love has no boarders!" he ventured dramatically, "ah well, possibly not for dear Bassy, over there, but I do not think he has a preference in men... does he?" Frederick winked at him before turning back to the princess, "no, I have no interest in your party.. though, perhaps my brother would..."

Sebastian ran a hand through his hair, sighing. A Masquerade sounded problematic. Too many entrances and exits, and every member would be anonymous. There were too many variables to account for, and much too many for the three of them.

"Well, I'd rather just wear the clothes I have on to the thing. I'm not much for dress up these days, so just a mask would probably be fine," he said, exasperated.
Truthfully, his current outfit provided adequate armor in case of an ambush. He'd much rather avoid exposing himself more than necessary. His insides turned over as he looked at Astra. Sebastian could recognize that expression anywhere. Queen Soya got it when she used to worry over Astra's father. In fact, she still got it from time to time. He could only imagine who brought about the look in Astra.

"If it's alright with you, Mireille, I'd like to help decorate the Masquerade. It's not like I have anything more important to do anyway," he said as casually as possible, suppressing his concern.

Frederick shook his head. "I told you, I won't attend the Masquerade," he mused, turning around and starting to saunther away, ignoring all other comments but... he turned his head a little so that he was eying them from profile, holding his jacket over his shoulder and smiling slightly. "Believe me, I am a flower. But every rose has its thorns, and some cut deeper than others," he chuckled softly, "... see you all later, someday... I wish you all a good day, until then," he waved his hand slightly and then vanished down the street.

Asalie watched everything unfold, noticing how no one practically seemed to acknowledge her besides the fire warrior. Although, he had been expecting her. She watched the young man start down the street before glancing back over at the others, then she made a quick decision and followed after him down the street. As she walked, she thought about the masquerade party, knowing that parties of the like never end well in legends. Someone is always kidnapped or murdered... She shook the thought away and continued after Frederick, making sure he knew she was following him.

Frederick stopped in his tracks once he noticed someone was following him. He paused and glanced at her, a slight smile of amusement playing on his lips. "What is on your mind, my sweet?" he asked in a gentle tone, stuffing his hands in his pockets and turning around to face her, "there is something you do wish to say, no? Otherwise you wouldn't be following me, correct?" he trailed off and took his right hand out of his pocket, a snowy white rose suddenly in his hands. He drew in the dizzying, wonderful smell of the rose with one deep breath before twirling it in his hands. "White is a beautiful color, you know..." Frederick mused softly, "one of purity but also wisdom... and yet these two things contradict one another. White is a color of life... and yet it is the traditional color of roses at a funeral...white is the color of happiness, and yet it is the brother of black... so close and yet so far away from what is dark. Where does the line between good and evil really go? What is more important, truth or ideals? Why do some pele get to live and others get to die? Why does the sun rise at the beginning of the day and the moon rise at night?" He chuckled softly and then blinked, looking surprised as he was pulled back to reality. Frederick swept a slight bow. "Oh, forgive me, my lady... I got carried away in my thoughts... that does happen sometimes," he gentle grasped hold of her hand and tenderly kissed it before letting it fall back to her side. "Your name is Asalie, no? You are the warrior of earth..." he held out the rose to her and smiled softly, "then you should know all about roses..."

In shock, Asalie brought her hand back close to her. How did he know her name? "I am both of those, and yes... I know all about roses and every other flower. Kind sir, you know who I am, so who are you really? You are not from here, are you?" She asked, clasping her hands together in her own thoughts. What was on her mind was the idea of who he was and how he knew so much and if we was safe to be around or not. Holding her other hand out towards him, a daisy appeared. "It's simple, nothing else but a child's flower. A flower of joy and wonder, but it can wither away and be forgotten as easily as the simplicity of a child's life, yes?" She allowed the flower to dry within her hand and fall to the ground, beginning to speak again as it hit the road. "However, sometimes people choose the right side, the one they are meant to be on. The side that allows another daisy to appear, yes?" She asked, looking down to where the flower had fallen only to see a new one had reopened. "So, sir, white is also the color of simple and naive because that is but what a child is..." She trailed off and brought her eyes back to his, smiling ever so slightly. She wandered back to her own thoughts as she brought her outstretched hand back to her body and as she stepped slightly closer to him.

Frederick smiled at her reply, a genuine smile for once. The way she spoke was beautiful, very much to his liking. Yes, possibly he had found another colorful poet in this gray and withering world. It warmed his heart and ears to hear her voice, and her words. "Oh, that is very true, as well as well spoken, fair lady," he replied softly, "but how is that someone supposed to know what side is right? Besides, something that has once withered, or was born dead, will never be alive... so why should the flower struggle to become pretty and living, when it is for nothing? After all, once something is truly lost... you can never get it back again. And some are indeed, truly lost," Frederick said softly, sadly, as he gazed at the rose in his hand. Slowly a midnight black color started spreading through it, until all the petals had changed color. "The question is... is there really anything that is truly dead or alive? Do the colors black and white truly exist? Or is it just an illusion made up by the mind... everything are two sides of the coin; black and white, day and night, man and woman... how could you ever chose between any of them, without feeling like you have lost an important other? What if we exist in a world between death and life; what if we exist in a world where there will never truly be night or day; what if we live in a world where black will never be truly black, and white will never be truly white? What if all we know, all we are... are shades of gray. Dark gray, light gray, medium gray... yes... but shades of gray. There is no good or bad side... everything is just a point of view, at the end of the day... and even if you possibly wouldn't like to admit it, the fair lady does know it is true. Within our hearts, we all do," he smiled softly, twirling the white rose between his elegant fingers, watching as it slowly began getting white dots.

"I am Frederick Smith," Frederick introduced himself, glancing up and smiling softly, "though some know me as the 'Demonic Demon Slayer'... or simply by my name; Zephyr..."

Sebastian smiled, "As you wi-" he stopped himself. That phrase was one he used, out of habit, whenever Astra offered him a suggestion. Avoiding triggering all of her memories at one time may prove challenging.
"Sorry," he admitted, "Yes, I would like a ride." As he walked towards the car, a bad feeling sank into the pit of his stomach. Something was happening with Asalie, but he couldn't quite make it out from where he was. It felt slightly hotter in her direction. However, the was little he could do for her, should a fight break out. He could only hope that Mireille could get to her if it was something she couldn't handle. He shook the feeling away as he opened the car door.
"Wow, nice ride." He exclaimed.
