J'aime l'Am??rique, mais je fais depuis longtemps pour la France

Description

My Name Is Sebastian Feoure.

Image

I Am 19 Years Old.

I Am A
Male.
I’m called the… Foreigner

What Am I Like? Well... I’m a (devilishly handsome ;D) charming but awkward sort of person, always complimenting everything in ways some people find strange, though I pride myself on my flirtatious side. (Though my friends call me a shameless flirt) I have a good sense of humor and am a bright student studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, though I’m on a term of leave to put together a special portfolio. I tend to see the world differently than other people, which to some label me as strange. I like America, my home country France, blueberry pie- well, anything blueberry-, photography, ice cream, helping people and painting. Though I don’t hate or dislike much, I don’t particularly like bullying, invasion of my space, pressure or ham and cheese sandwiches..

My Life Has Been Interesting. This is How it Went… I’m basically your typical spoiled French boy, with a rich family of artists going back a long ways. I grew up in a big house all by myself excluding the staff, while my parents often went on elaborate trips, or attended art shows. Like the rest of my ancestors, I showed promising fine art skills, not to mention prodigy material intelligence, and starting in Primary school I was expected to excel in everything. However, it was in my younger years that my parents noticed there was something off about me. After having me checked out, they discovered I had a neurological condition called Synesthesia, spurred into activating from several non-severe temporal lobe epilepsy seizures.
At first my parents thought I would be normal, but I hear sounds when I see certain things, and see beautiful arrays of colors sometimes when they shouldn't be there. It’s hard to explain, but sets me off as different and unique, and reflects in my paintings(and sometimes Photography) I moved to America in my teens on an early graduate scholarship and am Study at the Art Institute of Chicago. I love America, but I also long for France.
.

I have some favorites…
Cake: Blueberry Coffee Cake
Drink: Brown Sugar Caramel Latte with Blueberry Drizzle

My Crush would have to be… Unknown(TBA)

So begins...

Sebastian

Honestesly, Sebastian hated waking up. Not because he was groggy, or didn't want to do anything with his day, but simply because his dreams where a place where he could control what he saw and heard, make it so it was only the good ones. Well, he would like to think he controlled them, though in reality, his mind probably made the choices itself.
His is awkward for him to think of his Mind and Personality as two separate parts of himself? Even though they were so closely linked? Maybe. Oh well.

Sebastian sat up on his bare mattress- his sheets were across the room again. He was often told by female friends that he slept adorably, though Sebastian didn't see how when he seemed to kick so much.
He got up and scratched his bare chest, wishing his light abs were a bit more defined, then shrugged it off. He was a photographer not an athlete. Sebastian yawned and kicked open his bedroom door, meandering through the living/kitchen/dining area. Already he was beginning to hear music from the familiar sights of his two room one bath apartment. He was able to push them to the back of his mind, being so familiar, but it was still annoying. Unless he closed his eyes, silence didn't exist to Sebastian. And even then there was the dull thrum that nothing ness brought on. He really hated his 'neurological condition' sometimes, though he was glad he could see some beauty no one else could.
Casting aside his morning life thoughts, Sebastian jumped into the shower, quickly scrubbing down before stepping out again in less than five minutes. He really didn't understand why it took girls so long.
He didn't bother drying his hair, just pulled on clothes, grabbed his messenger bag, slung his camera around his neck and set out.
______
The tall figure, nearly 6', paused, leaning against a post as he winced. He hated walking through town, especially when it was busier like this. It was such a mental strain. Every sight sent a mash of badly matched music in his ears, every honk and yell a splosh of ugly color to frame his vision. Synesthesia was so annoying sometimes.
He moved his shoulder bag and unzipped a compartment, pulling out soundproof headphones. They were meant for music, but Sebastian usually just tucked the plug into his pocket, preferring the silence so his vision was clear. The music from his sight still played, but at least now he could concentrate where he was going.
Not that he really had a plan today. He was on more of a wonder and take pictures mission. Though, he had skipped his morning Latte, so stopping at that little cafe would be a fun excursion. The french boy pushed off the post, tugged his headphones cord into his pocket and set of again with a new purpose for his morning.

A few minutes later, after stopping to take some pictures, Sebastian entered Slice 'o Heaven with a good nature smile. He pulled his head phones around his neck and glanced at all the people in the singles area. They all seemed nice enough, judging by their music, and soft voices from the building spurred pleasant colors on the edges of his vision.
His black hair stuck up everywhere, except some of his bangs that fell over his forehead. He was wearing his usual black v-neck, blue hoody, and skinny jeans. He took up his camera from where it hung around his neck and took a picture of the forms backs sitting at the counter. It'd be a quaint picture if he could edit it.

A girl suddenly slammed her phone on the counter in the 'Singles Area' causing a few people to jump, and she apologized. Better than sitting alone! Sebastian thought cheerfully, moving to the stool next to her.

"Bonjour!" He said happily to the girl and the Waiter. He wouldn't order until he was asked what he wanted, but already did know. Brown sugar caramel latte. Always. Every morning since he was 12. With blueberry drizzle if available. Best drink ever.
He moved his casual lopsided grin to the girl, noticing off-handedly she had an eye patch that spurred a tinge of electric around a lazy harp melody.

"Are you always that cruel to technology, or did it say something mean?" He joked casually, a bit awkward with his English, French lilt all to obvious.

Alex heard Arrow walk through happy as always. His name was fitting for the god of love hence his weapons being a bow which was kept in his room. “Will the regular batch do for today or do you want anything special done on the side?” Alex thought for a moment. "Regular for today but just incase make a few cakes with just a dash of Grá." he said then turned to Zachary. "Oh, hello....Alex? It's good to see you too, and... I'm sorry about yesterday. However, I have come to the conclusion that my wallet might double as a ninja. In any case, I made sure my wallet was with me today, so I will pay for yesterday's previous order." Alex smiled and shook his head. "No, no, no it's fine just pay for today's order and we'll be even." he then heard a girl walk in dressed in a nice dress. It was quite pretty in his opinion but she seemed stressed. “One coffee, black, really strong please.” Alex nodded then heard Zachary again. "Oh yeah.... I would like the same as her, as well as a Dr.Pepper." "Very well I'll be back with your drinks momentarily." he said then went in the back. He pulled out a glass and filled it with the strange drink. He didn't care for it but humans seemed to like it. He then poured black coffee into two mugs. He remebered the girl was feeling quite stressed so he decided to help. He opened up a vial from the cabinet and poured half in each. They still looked as black and would taste as so but they would feel elated beyond belief.

He emerged from the back and placed the drinks infront of the boy then put the other black coffee infront of the girl. "Drink up." he said then heard a crash which almost made him jump. The girl with the eyepatch slammed her phone onto the counter. "Sorry" came out of her mouth and Alex shook his head. "It is fine" he said then heard a boy enter. "Bonjour" he said then Alex nodded and began to speak. "Bonjour, mon ami ce que tu veux? " he said in fluent French. He spoke every language for his philosophy. "Love is an international language."

Aria Christiansen
~The Nerd~

Aria smiled as the owner set the cake before her "One Cacen Brecwast freshly made"
"Thank you" she said softly, and opened her book. It was only moments later that another man came through the doors and sat in the singles section. She could hear the music pounding in his ears and she identified the basic rhythm as Avenged Sevenfold though she didn't really know many of their songs. It was interesting to watch the man and the owner interact. 'So he's been here before' she thought, seemingly entranced by their conversation.

A petite girl came walking in a few minutes later and sat near Aria. "A strawberry smoothie please' she heard the girl say. Aria raised an eyebrow. "May I have what she's having as well? That looks delicious" she said very quietly, almost as though if she said it louder she'd break the beautiful ambiance. Her attention was pulled again by another, what she could only assume, staff member. "Good day and welcome!" Aria smirked at his obvious cheerfulness. 'What do they feed their employees...?' she thought.

Aria picked up her book again and started reading, getting lost in her book once more. She barely heard the next woman come in, something about a strong black coffee, but Aria wasn't paying attention. The only reason she looked up again was because the girl drinking the smoothie slammed her phone on the counter, but even that didn't distract her for long. She plunged back into the pages of her book. She didn't notice at all when the french man came in...at least not until Alex spoke in french. It was beautifully said. ' Je parle français aussi!' she thought, but she didn't dare say anything.

She was staring at Alex as she put her book down and knocked her smoothie over onto her cake and her book. "Crap" she said under her breath. She pulled off her zip up sweater and started wiping her book off. The smoothie was seeping into its pages and she mentally cursed at herself.

Theo heard the French from the guy next to her, and understood it. She didn't say anything, though, just sort of waved in his direction. She was too busy wondering if she'd managed to break yet another phone.
The next comment was interesting. Since he was a foreigner, she could attempt to be a little polite, at least until he accidentally pushed her buttons. She frowned. "Mean to technology...I think this is my seventh phone in six months. And nothing my phone says is ever good." It was true. Theo didn't have any friends to give her number to, so all her texts and calls were from her parents or other relatives. Or a teacher, though those were formal.
She leaned back slightly, her eye closed as she mentally reorganized her schedule to be free for her appointment. She looked back at the phone, yawning a little, which miraculously only had a slightly cracked screen. Maybe buying a solid cover had been a good idea.
She settled down again, lazily sipping her smoothie and managing to relax, even though people kept coming in. Theo didn't realize what was happening, but anyone else would notice that she was growing steadily sleepier.

Sebastian

"Bonjour, mon ami ce que tu veux?"
Sebastian immediatly broke into a broad grin, delighted the man spoke French.
"De sucre brun caramel café au lait avec bruine bleuets," He ordered cheerfully, always happy to converse in his native tongue. "If you have the blueberry that is, sans que ce serait bien trop."

He settled his elbows on the counter to wait, cocking his head sideways at the girl beside him as she answered, "Mean to technology...I think this is my seventh phone in six months. And nothing my phone says is ever good."

He tutted playfully still smiling a bit. "Why, how unnaturally cruel." He said, making sure his teasing was obvious. "It's not the phones fault..." He trailed off when he noticed the girl seemed to be gradually dozing off. He poked her lightly in the hand, carefully not to cause her to spill her smoothie.
"Hey jolie, ne vont pas à dormir maintenant. It's only morning, dreams can come in the day too," He coaxed pleasantly.

Sebastian wasn't one to feel awkward when, well, he was being awkward, so it never occurred to him maybe she wanted to sleep. He just figured sleeping in a cafe in the early morning was a strange thing to do, especially when they're was a half full smoothie in front of her.

He noticed as he leaned that further down the counter a girl had spilled her smoothie all over her cake and her book. Sebastian felt bad for her, and wanted to get up and maybe offer her a hand to get cleaned up, or his own sweatshirt since she had discard hers to wipe at her book, but he didn't want to leave this poor sleepy girl. When he thought about it, Sebastian supposed he had a bit of a thing for helping people when he could. He waved at the man who had spoken French to him to take his order.
"Pardonnez-moi, mais pourriez-vous peut-être apporter cette fille-là des serviettes ou quelque chose? If thats not to much to ask, thank you!" He grinned awkwardly and refocused on the girl in front of him, prodding her gently in the shoulder when it looked like she was still nodding off.

Theo made a slight face, forcing back a yawn. "I know, but it's worth it to see my parents get so annoyed whenever I wreck a new phone. They know it's their fau..." She trailed off without finishing her sentence or her word.
It literally took her only a couple of minutes to fall asleep, as she thought that she must seem so rude and she probably was going to get in trouble for falling asleep while her head hit the counter.
Waking up was the harder part. This time, at the very least, it was one of her shorter attacks and she woke up about ten minutes later, waiting for the paralysis to wear off. She really hated not being able to move, but at least she didn't have the hallucinations some people did. She saw the French guy, who probably thought she was weird by this point, and also saw a spill of pink liquid which looked suspiciously like her own smoothie.
"Di' I drop tha'?" She asked drowsily, rubbing the sore spot on her head from her contact with the counter and readjusting her eyepatch.

Alex nodded at the girl then shouted at the boy "Bien sûr, un moment" he said then went in the back into kitchen. He started up a kettle of the tea then started the latte to brew. He dashed to the garden to get some kiwi, apples, strawberries, and guava then cut them quickly and put them into the bowl. He pulled out a warm pastry. It smelled divine. He heard the tea squeal then took it off the heat and put it in a small cup and put it all on the tray. He dashed out and put it infront of Gwen. Without a word he went back in and started back on the latte. He pulled out some brown sugar then mixed it into the drink. He then poured in a tablespoon of melted caramel and blue berry syrup into it the lavished the top with whipped cream and topped it with blue berries. He then took it out the the boy and pulled a few towels out from under the counter and put them infront of Aria. He then looked at the girl with the eyepatch and shook his head. "No you're fine and if you have another attack tell me I'll get you something to lay your head on." he said smiling.

Sebastian

The French boy gaped in shock as the girl with the eye patch completely nodded off, head landing on the counter with a thunk. Her smoothie toppled over and Sebastian hurriedly put it back up before it could spill any more.
He blinked as he looked at the girl, seriously concerned for a moment she had died. Then he saw she was breathing, and her head didn't seem to be bleeding from the contact, so Sebastian let out a revealed breath of air. He supposed he would just let her sleep. None of his buissness anyway, though he was quite curious why the girl had collapsed so suddenly.

He took a long sip of his latte which had just arrived, thanking the employee. It was quite the best of the drink he'd ever had, and having been drinking the same mix for years and years, that was saying something.

He let out an an appreciative hum and muttered, "Si bon." He would have to make this cafe a regular stop in his morning, if only for they're wonderful drinks. Not to mention the place was actually quite quaint. The type of place Sebastian liked. He had grown up in a rich family, in a huge house in France, but if anything, that seemed to spur on the love of cozy, homely places.
Especially now that he refused to accept money from any of his family, except to pay for his schooling when necessary. He preferred it that way, even if he didn't particularly like his part time job at Macy's Photo Portrait Store. He was just glad they were closed for a few weeks to remodel.

The French Native looked around at the other forms in the cafe, feeling slightly more elated than usual. He was usually a very upbeat happy (and incredibly awkward...) person, so this feeling shouldn't have been unnatural, except, well, it was. What on earth could have caused the flowering warmth to explode inside of him?
Either way, Sebastian threw it to the side, deciding not to dwell on it and simply enjoy the feeling.

Sebastian glanced up out of his thoughts as the girl next to him slowly raised her head rubbing her head from where it had hit the counter and starring at the small spill of her smoothie suspiciously.
"Di' I drop tha'?" She questioned drowsily.

"Oui, but don' worry about it. Are you alright? I seriously though you had died." He voiced with a dead serious voice, a small frown over taking his face. Then it split into a slight lopsided grin.
"I'm glad your alright though, jolie fleur."

Sebastian looked up as the waiter told her "...if you have another attack tell me I'll get you something to lay your head on." before meandering away.

Sebastian raised an eyebrow at her. "You can have my jacket if you're going to pass out again, " He said, taking another sip of his latte. Whoops, there he'd gone again and made an offer that would probably seem awkward to the girl. Oh well.

"Mon nom est Sebastian, et le vôtre?"

(jolie fleur- Pretty flower;)
(My name is Sebastian, and yours?)

Theo made a grotesque face. "Died from what? Drinking a smoothie?" She was always cranky after waking up. Probably because she never meant to fall asleep in the first place. "And I don't like being related to flowers...I've not got petals, have I?"
She shook her head quickly, trying to get rid of the sleepiness. "That was uncalled for. Sorry." She was always apologizing for something or the other. Usually falling asleep, but still...
She almost fell off the chair when the waiter mentioned her attack. How did the waiter...? Her face turned extremely pale. "How does he know that? He shouldn't know that."
She barely heard the boy next to her as she stared at the waiter's back. She quickly snapped herself out of it by paying attention to what the boy next to her, Sebastian, was saying. "Theo."

"Died from what? Drinking a smoothie? And I don't like being related to flowers...I've not got petals, have I?"

Sebastian burst into a fit of chuckles. This girl was amusing, he couldn't help it it. Even though she was probably meaning the two statements in a mean way. Still, Sebastian was way to much of a laid back guy to let something let that deter him.

He stilled his laughs as she apologized briefly and Sebastian just grinned cheerfully.
"Il est va bien, You've got, uh... what is it in English... cran? Uh... pluck! No?"
The boy got lost in his thoughts for a moment, trying to figure out exactly what it was he was trying to say. Despite living in America for awhile now, and that he'd like to consider his English as good as it was going to get, he still managed to stump himself sometimes. He heard the girl fretting about the waiter knowing something he shouldn't but shrugged it off as coincidence, then perked back into the conversation as she introduced herself.

"Theo," He tested it out, and it came off his tongue much like 'Tea-ooh'. Ah curse his accent. He took another sip of his latte as he took in her appearance. Though obviously a bit antisocial, or cranky, she still sent pleasant enough music and colors in his senses. He liked to think that his Synesthesia was a good judge of character.
She was also quite pretty, if he did say so, with light colored stark hair and a clear delicate face. Her one eye that showed was a pretty color, though the other was covered by an eye patch. Hm curious.
Sebastian still had his smile, wanting to ask about her sudden bout of sleep, but not knowing if he was permitted to after she had been so shocked the waiter knew. So instead, though the subject was probably equally as touchy, he decided to ask about her eye patch. After all, when awkward Sebastian got curious, he liked to find things out.
"So, Theo, I like your eye patch. I had a friend once, with an eye injury, who decided to wear an eye patch. She insisted we call her Captain Jackie Sparrow for months when she first got it." He chuckled watching her closely as he sipped his latte, hoping he hadn't crossed a line.
"What about you jolie? Any preferred pirate names?"

Oh God... Sebastian internally cursed himself.. She probably thinks I'm making fun of her, Bon sang ne, I meant that playfully. Bah! I'm so useless.

Theo just smiled wryly. Her and her 'pluck' gave her a reputation. A mostly nasty one. She did not like people...
The way Sebastian pronounced her name was odd in a funny way and she resisted the urge to smile. And then he mentioned what she referred to, mentally, as one of her taboo subjects. Her eye patch. Mentioning it only tended to make her angry.
She looked at the ceiling, a deep scowl on her face. "I had an accident." She replied shortly. She could still remember unpleasant details and shivered slightly. The leering face. The taste of blood that wasn't her own. The feeling of going downhill. The agony when she woke up at the hospital. And the intense looks of revulsion she got from the people who had been her friends. Getting used to seeing with only one eye.
Theo turned to face Sebastian, her voice tense and cold. "I really don't like to talk about it."

"I had an accident. I really don't like to talk about it."

Sebastian glanced away, feeling guilty he'd brought it up. "Sorry jolie," He apologized briefly, trying not to linger if she didn't like talking about it. "I'm often over stepping comfort zones, Une habitude de la mienne, je m'excuse encore une fois."
He glanced at the door as more people steadily filed in, including an interesting figure that tried to barge into two 'singles' before being pulled away by the head waiter. There was something off about these people that his Synesthesia screamed, but it didn't seem bad. Except that girl. She seemed like trouble.

"I have a neurological condition." He said simply to Theo, smiling slightly, trying to change the subject. He wanted to talk to her, she seemed interesting, but he just wasn't used to dealing with such shy people.

((nah, s'okay. i have evil control freak parents. they react to b's the way most parents react to f's...))
Theo didn't want to talk. "Really, what kind?" She asked, distracting him as she started to subtly fiddle with her phone. And...cue! The phone rang with the tune she had chosen. She had thought 'Hurry Up and Save Me' was quite the appropriate tune for her get-out-of-awkward-situations phone call. Which was calling her cousin. Of course, her cousin did the same thing with her. Mutual benefits and all that.
She gave Sebastian the one minute sign, flipping her phone open. "Hello? Yeah, went out...no, you never told me...haven't seen you in ages...no, I can't believe it...no need to get prima on me, darling......I'll break it off......oh, okay. Love you too, Nick."
She snapped the phone shut. "Sorry. I have to go. I've just set myself up for a date."
In an ordinary circumstance she would feel sad. For the person mentioning her eye patch, she had no pity.
She waved over a waiter. "How much?"

The French boy shrugged as Theo announced she had to leave, then asked about the price. He quickly raised a hand to wave her off, still smiling.

"Don't worry 'tea-ooh', I'll pay," He blinked happily at her. "Maybe I'll see you around if you don't hate me to much. Adieu."

Sebastian glanced around at the other people in the singles section. He didn't particularly like sitting alone, which is why he had tried to start conversation with Theo in the first place, though that hadn't gone to well all together. So perhaps he shouldn't approach anyone else. That might end up better.

He fished a twenty from his messenger bag, bumping his camera. Huh, he'd forgotten he'd had his camera! Anyway, he wasn't a fan f carrying a wallet. Everything was to organized in those things, not like he had credit cards or that much cash to line one with. He preferred to keep everything in the secret pocket of his bag, which he always carried with him.

As the waiteress neared he held up the twenty. "I'll be paying for that girl whose just leaving as well, et aussi, another latte for me?" He smiled in thanks, throwing Theo a backwards wave.
If she had things to do he wouldn't beg her to stay.

Mei

“Hmm?” Mei murmured in a bored tone, as if nothing in the least could startle her as she felt some weight applied on her left shoulder. Turning her head slightly, she sighted a familiar looking soufflé upon her shoulder, serving as the reason for the extra weight she had managed to pick up on despite her head being occupied for the time being, rummaging through observations of human interactions. A possible couple was forming; that of a brown haired boy possessing a strong aura of a troubled soul sitting with a girl with radiant long hair carrying flowers as decoration. The corners of her mouth twitched slightly to that of a smile before resuming a blank expression as she placed the tray of drinks on the counter seeing as no other customers wanted water at the moment. Also because she was aware that she was becoming distracted which would heighten the chances of a coordination error that could start an avoidable mess. She had smiled because the possibility of a couple forming was fortunate, if there was any cure for a troubled soul.. it would surely be love.

The neatly made bun of Mei’s hair seemed to bounce with life as she turned around noticing one of the customers call for her attention. With Cupid pet’s in soufflé form tagging along, she wasn’t sure if it would be wise to continue her duties.. wondering if humans could see the creature or not. It would be a startling sight and she was a rookie angel afterall causing her to doubt what humans could and couldn’t see that angels could easily discern. Figuring everything would work out and Cupid wouldn’t be so careless to let his pet roam free given the circumstances, she went on a whim and carried on. If all went well, humans would think she was just a very good balancer, managing to carry a plate of a pastry on her shoulder with no trouble at all. It was at that moment, the conclusion of her to-be actions, that she detected a pale girl with an unusual eye patch walk past her, leaving the very customer she was about to attend to. The girl’s aura was unmistakably that of a troubled soul, not as strong as the other boy earlier but it still caused Mei’s eyes to instinctively shift to the corner for a quick glance at the girl’s departure whilst continuing to make her way and carry on with her job. As much as Mei disliked sensing troubled humans that filled her with a natural desire to alter their lives for the better, she was also aware it may not be the right time for that or wished upon. Perhaps another time when Mei had polished her angelic abilities and understood more about the human world, she would consider intervening. For now, she was a rookie angel who had been serving under Cupid’s guidance for a week so far since the opening of Slice O’ Heaven and it was quite a worthy position indeed for someone like her of little to no experience of meddling in human affairs.

She halted at the table, maintaining a reasonable distance between her and the male customer where personal space would not be an issue but close enough for her to be able to hear even the quietest of voiced requests. Neatly entwining her fingers in front of her lap, she awaited to hear what orders she would be taking from this particular male individual. He had messy black hair and an accent she wasn’t familiar with that almost seemed alien- a funny comparison for an angel but she hadn’t really been out and about to have heard much accents to begin with. Certain customers were discernible through their manner of speaking, it was fairly intriguing. Mei knew she had much to learn but one thing she had definitely learned from the work experience was that every human was different in good ways, bad ways and neutral ways. Despite the accent, she understood his general orders and bowed her head slightly in respect. “It shall be done.” She said rather formally, albeit a little too much for the atmosphere of a café but nonetheless it was a part of her personality. “Will that be all young sir?” She clarified, her head lifted back upright as her flower hairpin glistened against the sun’s rays touch beautifully stretched beyond the café curtains.

Theo just shrugged. "Suit yourself." She'd find a way to pay him back eventually. She hated owing people.
She gave a sardonic smile as she walked away. She did kinda hate him at the point. If she liked the eye patch, she would talk about it.
She headed towards the train station, where her cousin was at the minute. She had no idea that Nick was going to be visiting at all. As she slipped inside, she immediately found her cousin. She just had to search for bright blue hair. She waved. Nick ran over, grinning. "Theo!!!"
Theo frowned. "Why do I get the feeling you're out to drag attention over."
Her cousin smiled widely. "Not at all. What awkward situation did you wiggle yourself out of?"
Theo glared with her good eye. "Eye. Patch."
Her cousin winced. "Ouch. By the way, I'm staying overnight."
Theo shrugged. "Let's go."
Her cousin followed, chatting about this and that. Theo was trying to avoid the cafe, but her cousin saw it. "Ooh! A cafe! Theo, you're taking me there, right?"
Theo glared, dragging the words out through clenched teeth. "Not at all. That's where the annoying boy was."
Wrong thing to say. Her cousin shrieked in delight. "It was a boy? C'mon, we're going in." Theo scowled as she was dragged into the cafe less than ten minutes after leaving it.

Sebastian

Sebastian smiled at the pretty waitress as she accepted his money and request, rather formally.
"Will that be all young sir?”

He knew the formality was probably mostly for the job, though perhaps it was her real personality, which would be interesting. It reminded Sebastian of his old butlers, maids and chauffeurs. Not in an 'I'm better than you way'. Being an only child, and often being alone in his house back in France, Sebastian had been friends with the staff since he was young. They all got along genuinely well, except for when Sebastian decided to pull pranks on them, but this waitress brought on a pang of sadness at the memory.
It had been a large step to leave France and set out on his own in America, especially since he refused to accept money. This had been his way to pursue his passion in his own way, away from his families influences. Despite that, he was often plagued with homesickness for his country.

"Oui, c'est tout, merci," He said absently, lost in a memory of the plentiful little cafe's in France. He followed the glimmering pattern of the waitresses hairpiece as the morning sun cast it into pretty sparkling patterns. He slowly drifted back to Slice O Heaven, looking over the waitress. She was quite pretty, and couldn't have been older than him. If anything, she looked a bit younger, though her calm sophisticated persona added age in wisdom on her delicate form. There was sort of a higher presence lingering around her, that made Sebastian feel as though he were in the company of someone very high and important. But then, perhaps that was the latte.

He snapped out of it quickly, scratching his head awkwardly. "Er, sorry, thank you," He gave the little lopsided grin he so often had when feeling awkward and held out the twenty he had offered earlier for her to take.

His head turned slightly to the side as the bell on the door jingled, signaling new arrivals, but didn't pay it much attention, wanting to get out some sort of compliment to the waitress about her professionalism or something before she maneuvered away.
'you're quite professional, that's a good trait for working, perhaps you're way this place has so many costumers, aside from the great food and drinks of course,"

Of course, that's how it sounded in his head, though it came out more like,
"You're, uh, nice, and pretty, er, you must get a lot of customers. The foods good too though..."

At this he actually felt heat creeping up in neck, feelings probably akin to someone who had just insulted the Queen in someway.

Mei

Oh..? Mei turned her head slightly to find Cupid’s pet missing from its perch. She sadly didn’t have enough time to give the pet a bit more attention with the orders piling up in the café and hoped the creature and herself were not on bad terms from that. Returning her attention to her current customer, the human appeared lost in thought in a strange way. The further he dwelled in thought as the silence consumed the two, the more a troubling aura was forming around him. It wasn’t as bad of an aura as Mei had sensed before lessening the concern towards the situation, just a memory perhaps? "Oui, c'est tout, merci,” The customer seemed to be talking to himself a little so Mei just stood at her post patiently in case another order would spring to mind. It would be rude to just wander away even though in her perspective, he was taking quite a while to zoom back into the current reality. "Er, sorry, thank you," he grinned, offering the 20 dollar bill towards her. “No need for an apology sir, it’s quite alright.” Mei responded politely, unexpectedly lingering as her fingertips touched his in order to retrieve the pay. Hm.. yes the aura isn’t so bad. she analysed during the brief touch before pulling her hand away and returning back to her original standing position by the table following her personal rule of not intruding in a customer’s personal space.

Mei! Can you hear me?! Someone's hurt outside!
Mei heard her fellow angel’s plight loud and crystal clear as it passed through her mind, causing Mei to close her eyes for a second as if confirming what she heard was authentic and not just her own thought imagining things up like being ‘needed’ despite her rookie status. It was certainly not the sound of her own voice which served as confirmation enough. It was just a highly unusual thing for Mei to experience- someone trespassing or setting foot into the organisation of her mind. Maybe there were angels that could read her thoughts, but for now she was a bit of a stranger to what the other angels in the café were capable of which made this telepathic message come off as a bit of a surprise. She reopened her eyes as her hand remained grasping the money offered, arm loosely hanging by her side as the customer had something else to say besides the average order. "You're, uh, nice, and pretty, er, you must get a lot of customers. The foods good too though..." The male stiffened uneasily before her eyes after saying his compliments which made her smile genuinely at his courage. It was not every day she would receive a compliment. Of course, she hadn’t forgotten Corinne’s plea and Mei was aware that the situation must be serious with such a panicky tone of voice applied In the communication trail but it was in her personality to remain calm and professional no matter what situations the human world could toss her in. The only thing that would make Mei a little jumpy, would be slacking off on her duty as both an angel and a waitress as it would mean she was not applying her personal best and doing all she could do, should do.

“Thank you sir—“ Mei was cut off from her sentence as Corinne burst through the café doors, hurriedly picking the fire extinguisher off the back of the café wall. The angel was very much in a panic which although seemingly not right for the mood of the situation, made Mei smile again to see such care and concern alight in her eyes. The world certainly needed more of that. "Sorry to disturb you guys, but we need some help out here?" Corinne said, apparently not noticing Mei present in the room before rushing out the doors from which she came with the fire extinguisher firmly in hands. Sigh. Mei thought to herself, although she was the quiet one of the bunch.. this was definitely not a professional display. Corinne was the head waitress which meant Mei was working under her and probably had no right to speak against her but she didn’t think the racket and fuss was necessary at all. If the situation outside was that drastic, all the more reason for less attention. Mei could not perform miracle healings while everyone stood outside and watched, gawking and in awe. It was not proper. Mei cleared her throat before raising her voice for a change, “Please stay seated and allow the authorities as well as staff to take care of whatever matters are in need of our attention outside. I assure you..” Mei’s eyes narrowed to show she was very serious as the words continued passing through her mouth. “That everything will be alright.. enjoy the rest of your meals and drinks.” She bowed after finishing her slight announcement then turned to the customer she was engaged in conversation with. “My sincere apologies sir, but there may be a delay of approximately 5 minutes with your order as café staff are becoming unavailable given the circumstances. In the case I am still occupied beyond 5 minutes, I am sure another waitor or waitress will attend to you. For now, please excuse me and enjoy your stay.” Mei concluded as she pulled out a pen and notepad from her uniform to jot down his order and left it along with the $20 on the counter in front of Alex otherwise known as Cupid her employer. She bowed her head to him respectfully before exiting the café to find out what all the fuss and mayhem brewing was about.

Mei turned her head almost in a mechanical fashion as she took in the scene for what it was. A human girl and Corinne were attending to the car crash in an attempt to save the driver while the troubled boy with brown hair Mei had noticed earlier was sprawled out on the ground in a blood display. Her eyes softened as she took in everything that had happened before kneeling down gracefully beside the boy on the road. He was alive, she was certain of it but her attention was also drawn to the sound of the authorities getting closer to the cafe in which she had a very limited amount of time to work with. Mei placed her hand gently over the male’s injuries, deciding to take away the pain the poor boy was feeling but leave the bruises and such as they were as to not make the miracle so obvious to the prying eyes that would shortly arrive. They were undercover angels after all, it would do no good to reveal themselves so easily. The least she could do was remove the pain from him. As her hands worked over the injuries, it would give off a slight glow only visible to angels and to further help him.. she began to sing to soften the human’s heart. Mei was attuned to emotions so no doubt he must be feeling overwhelmed or panicky at the state of him and everything else that continued to move around him.. unconscious or not, his body would be very aware of it all. Her singing was smooth and delicate, like an angel’s should be which acted as a method of calming him while removing the pain, trusting that Corinne and the other human was doing just fine with the driver.

Sebastian

Sebastian, while everyone else had been rushing about the accident, had pulled out a sketch book and was doodling little comics of the eccentric people in the cafe. It wasn't that he didn't care about the boy who'd been hurt, it just seemed to be taken care of already. He glanced up an nearly made eye contact with a familiar eye.
Oh, so Theo's back..? He smiled a little, then it fell when he realized she might still be mad at him. He made eye contact with the Theo's blue haired friend and smiled, giving a little salute in hello before looking back down to his sketch book.

He wondered where his waitress had gotten too. She'd rushed outside to help deal with the accident. Luckily the boy who'd gotten hit was now fine, eating cake and talking to a pretty girl.
Sebastian refocused on his paper, actually bursting into a little bubble of laughter when he saw what'd he'd drawn. It was basically a chibi rendition of most of the people in the cafe, including a cross looking Theo, the workers and their treys of goodies, his waitress looking all, the large buff boy tripping into another girl- Basically a comic of everything that had taken place in the cafe that morning.

He found it rather amusing.

Miki Rin

After the crazy effort to get the driver out of the car, and a short question-answer session with a paramedic about the crash, the dancer was finally able to grab her dufflebag from where she'd thrown it and meander into the small cafe every else had flocked to. It was kind of crowded, but Miki didn't mind. Despite constantly thinking about dance, she was a social person. Speaking of dance, she began running her routine in her head again, shuffling over to the singles counter with half effort swaying. As rude as her next thought would seem, Miki didn't want to be stuck waiting for an order. She wanted to get to school early, run her dance once, and do all the homework she had put off because of dance class.

So, without a second thought, she meandered over the the door that obviously led to the kitchen, tapping the guy standing there on the shoulder just as a dark haired man sped by, demanding "Arrow keep her inside for as long as possible I have an idea."

Miki raised an eyebrow, forgetting about her rush to get cake and leave in curiosity. "Are you holding hostages in your kitchen or something?' She asked the guy named Arrow. She assumed he worked there.
She stood on her toes to peer over his shoulder trying to see through the kitchen doors little window.

Corinne smiled seeing the the girl was going to deliver the cake herself. After the girl walked off in Zach's direction, Corinne giggled quietly and silently clapped her hands in joy. She was genuinely happy for the two. They were cute together. A few moments followed where Corinne's eyes simply followed the girl and watched her and Zachary converse, but she soon realized that it wasn't right for her to do so. She knocked her skull with her knuckle. What are you doing you idiot. She thought to herself. Sighing, she walked away, not wanting to invade on the two's privacy.

The head waitress made her way back to the counter and stepped behind it. It looked like Alex had stepped out, and Arrow was busy taking care of the girl she had seen outside. Oh, that reminds me.... She hadn't thanked the girl for helping Zachary and the driver yet. When she was done talking to Arrow perhaps she would pull her aside and treat her to one of Arrow's cakes. Of course Corinne herself would be paying for the treat. Although she was a worker at the café she didn't believe in getting free good whenever she wanted to give away.

Pulling out a cloth from underneath the counter, she started to wipe down the area. She needed something to occupy herself with before she started staring into nothingness and embarrassing herself. As she was wiping down the counter, she looked over at a boy with a sketchpad. It looked like he was laughing about something he drew. Unable to contain her curiosity, she leaned over to take a peek. It brought a smile to her face. He had drawn some sort of cartoon version of the café. It was adorable. "Cuute~" She said quietly.

Miki Rin

Miki raised an eyebrow at the emplpyee's comment.
"No we don’t hold hostages at all much less in the kitchen. My kitchen is sacred why on earth would I do something so tainted in it like that?”

"Dunno, I suppose it could serve to make things more interesting?" She shrugged and he turned to vanish into the kitchen for a moment. Her eyebrows dropped annoyed. Her reason for rudely not waiting her own turn and bothering the man in the first place was to get cake more quickly not have to wait for him. Luckily he returned before she cold really get annoyed.

“Alright, I’m done. Sorry you had to wait. Now, how may I help you?” Miki blew out a sigh, letting her annoyance leave with it, and sat onto a a stool next to her, propping up her sneakers to retie them.

"I'd just like a little piece of cake please, Red Velvet if you have it," She glanced around at the lively cafe, eyebrows quirking once more at the 'singles' and 'couples' signs. Well, that was one way to avoid getting hit on.
"What the idea behind this place anyway? Playing matchmaker?" she kept the comment short, since he was probably about to be off and get her cake. Glorious, magical cake. Nothing better for breakfast with a morning of dance coming up. Bring on the calories!

Sebastian

"Cuute~"

In surprise, Sebastian jerked in shock, slamming his knee painfully into the bottom of the counter. He rubbed it with a little groan, looking up to see another female waitress who was wiping the counter and had paused to look at his drawing.
"You startled me bel ange!"

He voiced with a chuckle, always quick to compliment in his native language. Though Sebastian would shamelessly consider himself a flirt , expressing compliments in English was always much more nerve wracking. He liked to stick with French. It was the language of love after all, some girls seemed to like it.

He spun his sketch book so it was right side up in her view from behind the counter. "You like it?"
He studied his own picture again, now from upside down, mouth quirking up again. It was rather cute if he said so himself.

Sebastian spontaneously reached out and seamlessly ripped the page from his book. He pulled it back for a second, signing his name with a flourish in the corner before holding it out to her.
"Here, think of it as a momento of me joli, and personification of this lovely cafe." He tilted his head and glanced at her. All the waitresses he'd seen so far seemed to be extremely pretty. Maybe it was a job qualification.
This girl was tall and slim with exotic purple hair and clear violet eyes. She looked a bit older than him, though not by much, and her heels and height probably just added to that visual.
"I'm Sebastian, just so you know. Now can brag to your friends about the amazing artist who drew that for you, eh?" He winked and laughed, mentally making a note to make an effort to still his accent. His 'th' and 's' were sounding very much like prominent 'z''s at the moment.

Corinne gasped hearing him bump his knee. Did she startle him? She smiled hearing him compliment her in French. "Ah, excusez-moi. I didn't mean to scare you." She said apologetically. "Ton dessin est mignon~" She cooed again. French wasn't her most prominent language, but she liked it. Her accent was a bit off when it came to sentences she didn't use often, but with short little phrases it usually wasn't very noticeable, especially when she used a more high-pitched voice when she got excited. When he flipped the picture over so she could get a full view she smiled and nodded. "Oui, je l'adore."

She gasped when he ripped the drawing out from his sketch book. He was actually giving it to her? She clapped her hands in joy, actually very happy that he was giving it to her. "Pour moi? Thank you so much!" She said happily. Taking the drawing from him carefully she put it aside in one of the drawers, making a mental note to frame it somewhere. It was actually very adorable and she knew it would make her smile to be reminded of this crazy day. Returning her attention to the boy she smiled and replied, "Sebastian is it? I'm the other waitress that works with Mei, I'm sure you've met her seeing that you've drawn her in your drawing."

"Ah, where are my manners. Sorry my name is-" Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a break in her mind. This feeling was familiar, but she hadn't felt it in a very, very, very long time. But she definitely would never forget the feeling. Boss must have shot her with his arrows again. He had done so by accident many years ago, and he had promised to never do so again. She growled, knowing what was going to come, but she only had a few moment of sanity left. She would just have to wait until Alex reversed the effects.

Soon her mind went blank and her eyes grew hazy. Dammit. She was going to get Alex for this. The first person her eyes had set on was the boy who had given her the drawing. Giving a sweet little smile she leaned forward and eagerly grabbed his hands. "Je m'appelle Corinne~" She introduced with a sweet voice. All she seemed to want to do was get closer to the boy. "Thank you for the drawing, that was so very kind of you." She said to Sebastian. All she wanted was him. She heard a distant voice shout for some service, but at the moment, she could really care less. "Est-ce que tu m'aime?" She asked softly.

Alex

Alex was rummaging through his cabinet looking for a vile. He hated the vile with his every being but he knew it was the onl way to reverse the affects of his arrows. He finally found it, a bottle of Casineb. He opened it up and gagged smelling the scent. It was oderless to most but to him it was putrid. He went and grabbed a cup of coffee and put in a single drop. He then gagged and closed it up quickly. He then dashed out and tapped Corinne on the shoulder. "Corinne drink this please." he dashed back in the kitchen and into the bathroom where he proceeded to vomit from the smell of the liquid.

Drake

Drake lowered his head ashamed when Trixie called out. He lowered his head and sighed silently. "Oh dear." he said under his breath. He never remembered how he got into this relationship in the first place but he knew she was the leader. She was the singer, and the only reason he was getting any more attention. He sighed then looked up and smiled at the girl happily acting as if nothing was wrong.

Mei had originally planned to attend to the boy's order, the one of which she had been speaking to prior the incident with the car crash involving the troubled child however it was at the doorway that she noticed her human form started to feel strained as her hand reached out against the wall to steady herself. Keeping a straight face and straightening her posture as to not cause any unnecessary commotion and in her nature being quite independent, she as casually as possible walked back to her room. Upon reaching her room, she collapsed backwards on her bed breaking out in heavy sweat. The strain on her body was intensifying moments before she plopped a pill in her mouth and closed her eyes waiting for it to take effect. Mei was an amateur angel so there was a limit to how much she could do and take, however the incident appeared to have overexerted her abilities. It was the first time she had combined two abilities; her singing and healing yet at the time it hadn't crossed her mind of the consequences that would follow after. Minutes later the strain disappeared and she sat back upright mechanically as if nothing had even happened. It was back to work for the waitress.

Fixing up the bun of her hair, she returned to her post in the cafe and already she was at a loss of what was going on. Her immediate attention was directed to her last customer to check if his order had been attended to in her absence. Finding Corinne there served as reassurance however she was acting rather.. 'touchy-feely'. It had happened before, causing Mei to frown slightly. Not again.. Holding back a sigh, Mei decided not to interfere as usual as her attention drifted some more. A girl with pink hair was impatiently calling for service but Corinne was ignoring it for the moment more interested in the boy in front of her that she was already attending to. Was she even taking an order or was it informal talk again? Mei held back another sigh knowing her place. Corinne was the head waitress and she had no right to order the girl to go back to work, if she decided to use her time socialising with a customer then Mei was going to allow- no, let her continue as there was nothing more she could do or say in the matter. It was frankly, out of her hands and position.

"Hey!!! Some service over here!! Thank you!!" The pink-haired customer was growing restless and it appeared she had company as well, an easily identified bodyguard of sorts and another male who was lowering his head and sighing. You and me both.. Mei thought as she caught sight of the sigh and spared a glance at Corinne's direction, a sight that had made her tempted to sigh a few times if she hadn't already let it out. Mei quickly turned away, walking calmly towards the group where the girl seemed to be the leader of the lot. "I apologise for the wait.." Mei said politely, bowing her head to all three persons to show she had noticed all of them rather than focus purely on the girl alone. "How may I help you?" Mei asked in a neutral tone, again splitting off her gaze to all three individuals rather than just the girl. In the back of her mind she was worried about what was going on between Corinne and the customer, hoping it wasn't going to turn into anything indecent or commotion worthy. They were angels after all and human affairs were to be kept separate, not personalised at least in Mei's viewpoint. She's the head waitress for a reason, I'm just going to have to place my trust in her as well as Alex in assigning our positions in the cafe.. I only hope the customer can handle Corinne's straight forward nature at most. Awaiting orders, Mei tilted her head slightly whilst attentively observing her current customers. The girl seemed to have a wild attention-seeking nature calling out like that while the boy accompanying her seemed to dislike her behaviour. Hm..

Corinne was still grasping on to the boy's hands when she felt a tap on her shoulder. A low growl was emitted from her, turning to the person who was trying to distract her from her new love interest. But then as if a switch was flicked, her anger immediately dissipated and she let go of the boy's hand, now focusing her attention on Alex. She tilted her head curiously, wondering why he was telling her to drink something. Would he like her if she did? Before she could ask he had bolted to the back of the store.

The angel stared at the cup, wondering what to do. She might as well drink it, assuming it was a gift from a boy. With a smile she drank the mixture, immediately feeling her mind clear. Now that she was no longer under the effects of Alex's arrows she carefully put down the cup and quickly slammed her hands on the counter in anger.

"Why you... I'm going to get you for this...." She muttered under her breath.

Remembering the boy that she was temporarily in love with moments earlier, she looked up ad offered him an apologetic smile.

"Uhmm.... sorry....? I don't know what came over me. Excusez-moi pour un moment." She apologized quickly.

Ugh! How embarrassing! She was all over a customer in front of the whole café, and she was acting like an idiot. Oh, dear, Mei probably thought less of her now. Mei's opinion of her was already bad enough. As a head waitress she needed to be a role model to her.

Upset and infuriated she stormed to the back of the café where she saw Alex run off to. Kicking open the bathroom door, she saw that he seemed nauseous and sick, but was too angry to really worry at the moment. It was probably because he had to make the antidote, but it was his own fault for shooting her with his arrows.

"ALEX!" She screamed, breaking her habit of usually calling him 'Boss', "You promised to never shoot me with those things again! Do you know how much trouble I could of caused? I was practically about to kiss that boy!"

Breathing heavily after shouting, she tried to calm herself down and took deep breaths. "What were you doing with those arrows anyways? It's been decades since you last used them."
