It's been a week since the marriage between Liam and Mariah. Though many people would have things to say about this situation just because Liam is nineteen years old and Mariah is forty-five with a daughter who is Liam's age. They even went to school together. But honestly, Liam couldn't care less. He loved Mariah no matter what anyone says and nothing would ever convince him to leave her. But the thing is, he has feelings for Kelsie, Mariah's daughter and there is no way that he'll be able to keep this a secret for very long when he lives with the girl now.

As much as he enjoys living with Kelsie, he honestly hopes that she will be able to move out soon so that he didn't have to deal with this heavy feeling in his chest of being terrified that either or both of the women will find out what he is hiding. Liam awoke in the morning, finding that Mariah was at work and left him a letter on the bedside table.

Liam,
There is breakfast in the oven for you and Kelsie, feel free to cook something or order takeout for dinner tonight. I'm going to be stuck at work late. Take care, I love you.

And with that, he knew the day was going to be completely awkward. This was the first time he was going to be home alone with Kelsie. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves before standing to his feet and pulling a pair of jeans over his legs. He walked out of the bedroom, still shirtless and made his way downstairs to eat some breakfast. Liam opened the oven and pulled out the plate of pancakes and hash browns before starting to make a plate for himself.

Kelsie couldn't understand her mother. From when Kelsie was very young, her mother might use her to get to a boy's father. Now, is was kids she actually liked, and she hated her mother for it. All she did was work or have some type of relations, and it bugged her so badly.

She woke up later, as usual, and since she wasn't in school at the time, she lazily got up, in her short shorts, and half cut-off t-shirt, the ends braided, so they bounced off of her as she walked. She sighed heavily as she walked down the stairs, and saw her new... step-father... had beaten her to breakfast it seemed. At least she told him how to survive.

"Dear God." She moaned as she walked in the kitchen. "Why are you here? Can't you just stand up to my mother, and tell her she is 30 years too old for you?" Kelsie opened the fridge clumsily, and got out the milk, chugging some from the gallon, then grabbing her leftovers from last night, and sitting at the counter. [/center]

Liam turned around towards her when he heard her voice and sighed at her comment. "I don't care how old she is, I still love her Kelsie. I'm sorry that you feel that way but I'm not leaving her," he stated to her before sitting down at the table with his plate and started eating his food.

All Liam wanted to do was make amends with Kelsie. Ever since she found out he was seeing her mother, whatever kind of relation they had to each other slowly began to dissipate and now there was pretty much nothing there between the two of them. They lived in the same house and they can't seem to get along. Of course, Mariah doesn't know that because they always seem to play nice around her just so she wouldn't have anything to worry about. But when she wasn't around, they were always at each other's throats.

Liam just sighed as he sat there in silence, trying to ignore Kelsie's company so he wouldn't end up saying something he would later regret. That was by far the last thing he wanted to do.

Kelsie rolled her eyes in disgust, and snickered as he tried to stick up for his and her mother's 'love'. She sighed as her phone was going off with texts from a guy named Dylan she'd just met at a party.

She let out a laugh, and finished her food rather quickly, leaving the milk out on purpose to irritate her parents. "I'm going out, Liam. Have fun rotting in this house, 'Dad'. " She barked, and left after pulling on some jean short shorts. She squealed out of the garage, and flew off to a major party at the beach, not too far away. There, she met Dylan, and they had the time of their lives. Steamy makeouts, underage drinking, and other things.

- Later that night -

Kelsie stumbled into the house, with now boyfriend Dylan, who was holding her, as he wasn't tipsy, and she was. He took her upstairs, and then got some water downstairs quietly. He didn't know her parents, and soon, she came down the stairs, and giggled. "Hey baby!" She hiccuped, and pecked his neck as they talked in the kitchen, Kelsie sitting atop the counter.

Liam just sighed and rolled his eyes at Kelsie's words, honestly not caring that he was going to be in the house alone all day. It was honestly a relief. It gave him some time to be alone, which he was wanting all week, at least for a couple hours. He stood to his feet after he finished eating and started to wash the dishes before putting the leftovers away.

All day, in the back of his mind all he could seem to think about was how Kelsie was doing and if she was getting into any trouble. Honestly, he didn't care that she was at a party, that was something he would be doing right now too if he didn't feel like sitting around at home. Though the only thing that sucked was that he wouldn't be able to have as much fun as he was originally planning if he were to go out to a party. He was never the type to cheat on anyone and now that he was married he was more tied down, which he didn't mind. Liam really did love Mariah, no matter what Kelsie thought, he knew what he was feeling.

Later that night when Kelsie came home, he was upstairs in his and Mariah's room sleeping. When he heard noises going on downstairs, he stood to his feet and stepped to the stairs before finding Kelsie in the kitchen with a male. He sighed as he made his way down the stairs, just to grab a drink. He was in no position to tell Kelsie what to do, so he just figured Mariah would take care of this whenever she got home if she ever found out about the two of them.

Though he couldn't help but to feel the sudden urge to punch this guy in the face because of the way he seemed to be acting around Kelsie, which was the same way he acted around girls in the past. But he was in no mood to pass judgement or do anything stupid. Instead he just stood there, drinking his water.

By coincidence, Dylan attended the same school Kelsie and Liam had. Kelsie filled him in, right before Liam came in. Dylan laughed, and drank some more of his water. He stayed silent, and kissed Kelsie's neck a majority of the time, as she stood in front of him, leaning on him.

A small part of her, the tiniest 1% of her brain told her to kick out Dylan, in all his ravishing glory, and forget about her mother, for just one second. Just so she could see what it felt like with him. She had never not liked him in high school, but now that he was married, he was off-limits, and she hated it.

She knew she could have prevented this from ever starting. Maybe if she had tried harder to not let Mom look at her yearbook, or tell Liam her father had come back from the dead.

Kelsie was standing there, Dylan all in her neck, his arms around her, and Liam was just there, right in front of her. Too bad he didn't know... about her feelings.

She caught herself staring at him, and glanced away, wanting to rip off his shirt, or his pants, or anything for that matter. She held Dylan's hand to remind her... that it wouldn't happen.

Liam found himself catching Kelsie staring at him while her boytoy was eating her neck. At the time of catching her, he gave a slight smirk and just started to go back upstairs to leave the two of them alone. This was none of his business, but he couldn't help but to want to punch the guy in the face. He knew how Dylan was and that was what bugged him more about it than anything. Once Liam found himself upstairs, he set his drink on the bedside table and climbed back into the bed and pulled the blanket over him. With a sigh he stared up at the ceiling, listening in onto what was happening downstairs. If at the slightest he heard that Dylan was being stupid, he would definitely meet him downstairs and beat the shit out of him. No woman deserves to be treated the way Dylan treats women.

Kelsie watched her real crush leave the room, and go upstairs to his wife's and his room, and she snorted. Dylan, then grinded up on her, and Kelsie squeaked. "Um.. Dylan.. no." She said softly, and Dylan kept at her neck if not anything else. After another 5 minutes, Kelsie pushed him away silently so Liam wouldn't hear.

"Look, here's a $20 for your troubles. Just go home, okay?" She kissed his cheek, giving him one last kiss before quietly shutting the front door, and sitting on the couch in the living room. Maybe one day Liam might think just the slightest of her romantically.

Kelsie had fallen asleep on the couch soon after sitting, and then she woke up around midnight, stuck in her own hazy reality of Liam kissing at her neck slowly.

Liam found himself not being able to sleep and eventually got up out of the bed and slowly opened his door before peering down from the balcony to see if Dylan was still around. With a soft smirk he made his way downstairs, just to check on Kelsie. He could tell that she was still downstairs because usually he would be able to hear her very soft snore coming from her bedroom just down the hall.

He stepped into the living room, unsure about how Kelsie would feel about his presence. There was no denying how awkward he was feeling. "Um...are you okay?" he questioned after clearing his throat. Liam hoped he wasn't overstepping his boundaries, he just wanted to make sure she was alright. Even if she started yelling at him, at least he would know what she was feeling. Though as the two of them were alone in the living room, he couldn't help but want to ask her straight forward how she felt about him, hoping that she would feel the same way.

"I know I'm probably the last person you'd ever want to talk to, but just know that I'm here if you need me. I've always cared about you and just because of the situation we're in now, that doesn't change how protective I am over you," he stated before turning around and making his way back upstairs.

"I know I'm probably the last person you'd ever want to talk to, but just know that I'm here if you need me. I've always cared about you and just because of the situation we're in now, that doesn't change how protective I am over you,"

"I.." She started, and wanted to say the same thing back to him.. but he was gone, just like that. "Liam.." She stood, and walked slowly, hoping to stop him before he was halfway up the stairs. "I don't know your intentions in marrying my mother, and understand it's none of my business, but.." She looked up at him with her big eyes. "What we had, developing, was starting to blossom into.. something I had never felt before. " She stopped, and muttered under her breath. "I just paid off a guy, for not wanting you to know I might move on." She sighed, running a hand through her hair.

She wanted to leave the house, but decided to go to her room, having to go up the stairs, and she looked at Liam, making eye contact with him, and slowly squeezing by, in case he wanted to reply to her.

Liam turned around when he heard Kelsie starting to speak to him, just before he started to go up the stairs, but before he was able to say anything she was starting to go up to her room. After hearing her words, he couldn't seem to stop his next actions. Liam reached out for Kelsie and pulled her towards him, locking her in a passionate kiss, one that they have never shared before in their lives. He loved Veronica, but this kiss was nothing like he had ever shared with her. Immediately he knew he was in love with Kelsie, a lot more than he was with Veronica. He just wasn't too sure about how he was going to deal with this situation.

Then it happened. As she tried to casually go to her room, Liam took her by the shoulders, and they were in an embrace, Liam's lips on hers.

And she loved every second of it. There was a new feeling in her that longed for that feeling for the rest of her life. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and tilted their heads to the side, deepening that kiss, and then finally pulling back. "Liam.." Her eyes grew in fear. "What are we gonna do?" She felt a feeling of urgency, and her mother was at the front door, the key unlocking it.

She let go of him, and looked away, and started back on her original path to her room, when she was at the door, she mouthed, "Meet me tonight." She winked, and shut her door as her mother was in hearing distance.

"I," he started before he heard Veronica starting to unlock the front door. Before he was able to finish his sentence, he noticed that Kelsie had already made it up to her room and stepped inside before telling him to meet her tonight. With a soft sigh he turned his attention towards Veronica, trying his best to act like nothing had happened while she was gone. "How was work?" he questioned as he wrapped his arms around her in a hug and placed a kiss to her lips.

"Oh, it was alright. Was everything okay here?" she questioned as she began to walk upstairs towards their bedroom and Liam followed behind her. "Oh, yeah, everything was fine," he stated lying through his teeth. He needed to keep this to himself, Kelsie and Liam were definitely not in the position to be having Veronica know what was going on just seconds before she stepped inside.

Kelsie hid in her room, and as she heard her mother and Liam walked into their bedroom, she laid back on her bed, and sighed. In an effort to look normal, she grabbed her phone, and started texting her friends, waiting for hours for the day to turn into night, and her mother was fast asleep.

She wondered if Liam was playing her, and as she sat up in her bed, she wondered if he was going to actually meet her tonight.

If he did, she'd beg him to leave her mother, and runaway with her. If not, then she'd probably pay off Dylan until she was broke as all get out.

Liam sighed as he slowly climbed out of bed when he heard Veronica starting to snore, signaling that she was in a deep sleep. He quietly slipped his ring off his finger and placed it down on the dresser before writing her a note. "I'm sorry, but I've fallen in love with someone else. Don't come looking for me." He stepped out of the room and made his way into Kelsie's before quietly closing the door. Liam made his way over towards her and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Will you...run away with me?" he questioned, hoping she would take the offer. He couldn't stand being in the house with Veronica, pretending to be something he wasn't. If she accepted, he would end up going to the courthouse and fill out divorce papers and all Veronica would have to do is sign them and she would be a free woman again. If she declined, he would have to figure something out.

Kelsie couldn't believe her ears at the moment. "Liam.." She looked down, and slowly took his hand, only the moonlight coming in her room. "I never want to leave your side." She smiled, and touched their foreheads, kissing him slowly. Those blonde locks looking infinitely white in the moonlight, and his eyes were brighter than usual, and she was lost in them for eternities.

Still holding his hand, she looked at him. "Get what you need, and then we'll leave this place." She smiled purely. "And never look back. " She let go of his hand slowly, savoring each second their skin touched. Her suitcase was next to her feet, since either answer he gave her, she was leaving.

Kelsie had yet to realize that she would lose any family she had, and all she would have left is Liam.

Liam couldn't help but to smile after hearing the response he was hoping for. He immediately stood to his feet and glanced down at her, "Meet me at the door, I shouldn't be long," he stated before making his way out of her room and heading back to his and Veronica's and stealthly began to back his suitcase with all of his belongings, thankfully he didn't have much to begin with so he was able to grab everything that belonged to him and place it into the one suitcase.

Before making his way out of the room, he glanced over at Veronica, who was sound asleep and completely clueless about everything that was going on he left. Kelsie waited by the front door as she was instructed to do so, and smiled as she saw Liam's quick figure, and he kissed her lips. "Of course. Here." She handed him the keys to her car, and they had quickly packed everything up into it, and hopping into the passenger side, holding his free hand as he drove.

They hit up the courthouse as he said, and after that, she turned to him, kissing him. "Where should we go?"

Liam took the keys from Kelsie and climbed into the driver's seat after packing his suitcase in the car and began on his way to the courthouse. The entire ride his heart was beating out of his chest from happiness and fear that Veronica would hunt the two of them down after realizing that Kelsie had left to. He tried to remove the thought from his mind because he wasn't even sure if that would happen, but he would deal with it once they crossed that bridge.

After he filled out the paperwork at the courthouse he climbed into the car with Kelsie once more and glanced over her when he heard her question. "I don't know, but I think for right now we should at least stay in a motel so we can get some sleep," he answered before pulling out of the parking lot to the courthouse and heading down the road, looking for the closest motel room they could find. He was really starting to get exhausted and he knew Kelsie was tired too and neither of them should be driving while tired they could fall asleep at the wheel.

Kelsie nodded in agreement. "Please." She smiled as they parked the car and checked into a motel a ways away from her old home. "This feels so right." She murmured as they walked in the room, and she locked the door behind him, and then pulled him to the bed, after they dealt with their luggage. "Liam.." She started, and touched their foreheads. "Thank you." She then slowly pressed her lips to his, leaning back.
