Varthur


"Aah-chuu!" Varthur sneezed, staring at the pavement as he walked on through the school gates. A few cherry blossoms had fallen on the shoulders of his navy blue school blazer triggering his allergy to his dismay. He was re-adjusting his woolen scarf around his neck as he entered the school hall and to his surprise was greeted by an empty room. For a moment he wondered if he was in the right place. He had expected at least a few teachers to be around to supervise the seniors putting up the chairs and preparing for the arrival of the juniors on the first day of school yet it appeared his assumption was wrong. Perhaps they were running late. "I was pretty sure it's the hall.. and this day when they were.." he paused his out loud thoughts to welcome another sneeze. "Aahh-chu", the sneeze slightly echoed through the hall although much quieter than the first as he was no longer outside where the cherry blossom trees were.

He leaned against the wall by the doorway waiting for the other students to show up, not really particularly enthusiastic about the day or helping out in the school's activities yet the wait seemed to take forever and all he was doing was sneezing the duration of time away. "Aaah--chu!" Another echo as still nobody showed up. "Am I that early.. gosh." he muttered to himself, scratching the back of his head before turning to the doorway as if expecting someone to pop up and yell, "Sorry i'm late!" or "Don't go pulling a muscle Varthur with your allergy working up, here let me carry that!" But it was only wishful thinking. He wasn't even sure if the other seniors cared or noticed him. "Ugh what the hell.." he murmurred to himself before picking up one of the chairs from the stacks at the very back of the hall and starting a front row silently waiting and wishing for others to show up so he wouldn't look so stupid handling this on his own.

Coming back to school felt awkward. Not just because he was on his own for now but also because the blue and white uniform looked..awkward somehow. Maybe because that morning when he stood in front of the mirror, he knew next year he'd be in college. It was a realisation that kinda scared him as he wasn't sure what to do or pursue in his future but he figured he'd take the challenges one day at a time; for now that was setting up these chairs.

Akihisa

Akihisa Yoshii was always a late person but never this late. He was running down a side-walk covered in blossom as he looked at his watch again to find out that he was almost an hour late. He continued to run through the gates and towards the front entrance. As he walked through the auto-sliding doors he noticed that the school was silent apart from the faint noise of what seemed to be the janitor. As he looked around he located a poster on the wall that read 'Hall -->'. He decided that he should follow it to see if there was anyone still there. As Akihisa walked around the corner and down the short corridor towards the hall he cringed and figured out that the noise must of been the chairs being cleared away.

Akihisa walked into the room to find one man not putting away chairs but putting them out. "You don't look like a janitor?" He claimed. It was at that moment he noticed a clock on the wall that was one hour behind his. Akihisa screamed mentally as he face palmed to display his shear embarrassment. "Who are you?" He said in the direction of the man (Varthur) putting out the chairs. On closer observation he noticed that it was not a man across the room but a boy who looked old enough to be one of the elder pupils in the school.

Momo


The cherry blossoms at this time of year are so beautiful..
"Have a good day at school darling." Her adopted mother said as the small somewhat broken family of two hugged each other outside the car. "Thanks mom, I'll cook dinner tonight okay!" Momo offered as they pulled away from the hug. She brought an excited fist in front of her chest clearly looking forward to her first day at highschool. Mrs Yakamoto smiled sincerely, "If you say so dear, see you tonight.. I better get going or I'll be late for work." she concluded, hopping back into the driver seat and closing the door. Momo leaned closer to the driver's window with her school bag dangling at her knees as she stared at her mother with slight uneasiness. "Take care mom, have a good day at work..." Momo said before leaning back to strand up straight again. Mrs Yakamoto could read the unease in her daughter's eyes but simply smiled reassuringly before waving and rolling up the window to drive away and disappear in the distance. Momo waved after her, even though she knew her mother was out of view, it brought her comfort.

Momo sighed, her school bag hitting against her knees lightly before she skipped towards the school hall having remembered the school layout by heart with her pink hair gracefully bouncing in rhythm with the wind. The night before, she had read all about the Junior and Senior program. Although the term 'nerd' was distasteful.. she could be considered one to the eyes of some as she greatly preferred to be informed about such things. She came to an abrupt halt however as she arrived a few feet away from the hall entrance as she started to look around for more juniors growing more nervous by the second. She glanced at the simple pink watch on her wrist to find she was a few minutes tardy causing her mind to panic. Oh no! She continued skipping to the entrance and through it, again coming to an abrupt halt at the realisation very few people were present. Her head turned left and right and all over the place as it was seemingly deserted or empty. She sighed, her hands gripping her bag's handle tighter before looking up to notice she did recognise one of the two boys in the room.

Momo yelled in her head, outraged to be attending the same school as that good for nothing jerk but had managed to calm herself down not wanting to lose her cool already on the first day. She looked up again to stare at the small amount of company, observing what was going on. Varthur hadn't noticed her, apparently occupied setting up the chairs in a neat orderly fashion which strangely eased her nerves as it helped confirm that she was at the right location. She turned her head to the second boy (Akihisa) who looked around her age and apparently new as he started questioning Varthur and checking that he wasn't a janitor. Momo raised an eyebrow before placing her bag to the side of the hall and pulling up her sleeves. Her natural instinct despite Varthur of all people being the one setting things up, was to follow the responsible course of action; to help. She grabbed two chairs with each hand gripping one and dragged them behind her across the floorboards to set up a second row. For now, she would ignore the pompous idiot attending the same school as her and do what she could to contribute to the high school she had been longing to be a part of. Placing two chairs down and dusting her hands off, she turned her attention to the other male (Akihisa). "Hey you over there, you should lend a hand." she suggested, pushing her glasses closer to her eyes before she set off to the back of the hall to grab more chairs.

Akihisa

As Akihisa noticed the girl (Momo) setting out some chairs he looked her over. Long pink hair, flowing freely behind her head. A pair of classes, that accompanied her blue eyes, giving her a smart look. Her kind looking face that gave Akihisa a good feel about her personality. The school uniform complomented her figure and made her look great. This look over could be considered as checking her out but Akihisa doubted ever her or the other attendant noticed his actions. Although, the thought that she may notice made him blush slightly and turn his eyes away. When the girl suggested that he helped them set out the chairs he gently stroked the back of his head. "Um, yeah." He replied rather clueless as to the planned formation that the chairs were meant to be in.

As Akihisa walked over to the chairs he devised a plan to just work on the lines the others had already started, so that he would not look like the idiot he really was. "Why hasn't anyone else done this? We shouldn't be." He whined to himself as he grabbed a small stack of chairs off the pile. He dragged the chairs over to the two rows and begun to help the girl finish off her row. On closer observation he noticed that the guy was wearing a scarf on a day that was not particularly cold, this didn't bother Akihisa but it did make him slightly curious. By the way he laid out chairs and his appearance Akihisa came to the decision that he was a Senior. Once they had finished the row Akihisa stood there gormless waiting for a command. He really didn't like doing anything he didn't have to but it got him closer to the girl so he was fine with it.

JACK MCCOY


"Alright. I've gotten up early. Now, I can peacefully rest my head on a new, soft desk…Well, at least until there's work, or a teacher decides to throw a hissy fissy bitchy fit. I wonder if the school lunches are any good?…never mind, they probably aren't, as usual..."

Those were the thoughts of Jack McCoy, considered to be the resident 'sloth' in town, dressed in a crumpled red t-shirt, with a fresh, clean new sleeveless dark blue jacket, and ironed dark blue pants, and throwing on his brand new hitop sneakers, colored black and red, with a shine, and the smell of an anti-odor spray his mother was trying out. This was followed by the young man greeting his mother, sliding down the rail downstairs and receiving a rather light breakfast of some scrambled eggs, and a wild berry flavored pop tart, currently the teen's favorite. He munched away on the meal, and washed it all down with some cold milk, wiping his upper lip, and tossing the dishes in the sink. He ran back upstairs to make sure he had everything he needed, assuming he did, and rushed into the bathroom, taking two minutes to start brushing his teeth. That was followed up by the gargling of some mouthwash, and a spray of some 'manly' cologne that his father got for him recently to use.

A couple months or so earlier…

"Jackie? :D" Greeted Jack's father, Ryo, who had just finished up some training. "Whatcha thinkin' about?"

"Oh, uh…nothin,' pops. Nothin' at all."

"Ahhh, Son! that look in your eyes tells me everything! you have that fiery desire, the need…"

"O_O"

"…To have a girlfriend. :3"

"D: Uh, dad, no It's not- Damn it, it is, could you not get into my private life, cool with that?, okay?, thanks!-"

"Son, as your father, I can totally help you. Just use this"

And the man produced from his Karate Gi, a shining bottle of some manly, affordable cologne.

"Yep. Just spray some on, kiddo. From there, just work your charm. Hell, work whatever you have!"

"Thank you, dad! :O"

"OSSU!" Ryo Roared, punching a block of ice into pieces.

And Jack stumbled into a tree near the school building, yawning, and dropping like a rock for a moment. As he drifted farther and farther off into sleep, Jack's mouth opened, and a bit of drool found its way past his lips, and slipping past his chin as he dreamed of the most bizarre things, including screwdrivers underwater, and flying circus tents with rocket propulsion systems sending it skyward. Well, that is until he'd start to take control again, things got detailed now, and he'd dream about the same thing he had every night, for the last three weeks: a girl covered in shadows, standing near a bright light, the end of a long tunnel of torture and various challenges that related to his everyday life issues, with Jack running towards her, and facing various obstacles, usually failing, and unable to usually catch a glimpse of her face. His current obstacles mostly consisted of monstrous, yet comedic versions of his grandfather who happened to put him through brutal physical conditioning everyday, Jack unable to grasp what the point was of whether or not he filled his father's shoes…

But this time was different. In the end, he had gotten a little closer to her, feeling a strange aura about her, and seeing a smile curved onto her lips, just before the dream ended, and he found himself on an endless grassland, which later became an endless desert, then a desert of sand and camels, ending with a sea, and Jack on a rowboat. These areas confused him, until he thought about it some more, and realized, he was searching for someone. Why, and what for? He was tired, and had to beat up some dragons on Skyrim once he'd gotten home.

Jack emerged from his nap to find a woodpecker attacking him for some reason, as he quickly saw the drool, and in a rush, wiped it with his sleeve, as he dusted himself off, and looked around in a frenzy, trying to figure out what to do, and where to go, as he hurried inside to the hallways to start searching, and ending up eventually in a few areas, asking around, and also getting a couple papers, as he stopped himself in one hallway...

Kei Takeda

One more year, that was all he had left, the last bit of time before the real world would take hold of him and the rest of his life would truly be decided. That meant he couldn't slack off this year. As he entered the front gate to the school campus, Kei found himself looked around, the cherry blossoms a calming sight and it helped put him at ease. It was nice to feel at ease for a moment, his mind being burdened with thoughts that this was the year his entire life changed, not just because it was his last year as a high school student but because there was quite a bit he would have to accomplish and he didn't really know how he was going to do it. He knew he would figure it out though. Kei turned deciding to walk around outside for a moment, finding himself looking off in the distance at things that were only in his head. As he stared off into nothing he couldn't help but wonder just what was going to happen this year, because it was going to be different from every other year by a long shot. So many things awaited him, a Junior partner which was going to be a bit of a pain seeing as he never socialized with anyone, as well as a academic oriented year, one in which he would really have to focus on studying if he wanted to get into a good college because his ability to succeed with athletic ability was no longer an option. It was going to be hell as far as he was concerned.

Kei gave himself another few moments to think and stare off into nothingness, letting all the thoughts that burdened his mind take over for just a moment. Then Kei began to count down in his head, '10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...' and finally when he reached the end he closed his eyes, as if resetting himself and when the opened again it was time for him to start the new year and all the thoughts while still there were buried. With that he turned around, a rather emotionless look on his face as he turned and walked to the school building, though inside he was a bit nervous and his heart was beating at an elevated rate. As he entered the halls of the school he found it slightly odd as nobody was around, the only signs of anybody even being here were the opened doors that suggested a teacher had unlocked the classroom and the occasional light from one of the windows as he walked down the hall. It was a bit spooky actually, though Kei could only assume he was really nervous because of his own problems. That wasn't of concern at the moment though, he slung his bag over a single arm and began heading towards the hall where the senior and junior meeting would take place, wondering what type of person he would be assigned to. It was not something he had much of an opinion on, though he hoped whoever it was didn't flood him with questions, though whatever happened he would manage.

Soon enough Kei found himself at the hall, looking at the doors for a moment. He gave brief pause as he pulled his shirt by the bottom, which was easy as it was never tucked in, and ran a hand through his messy hair. "Gah... A senior... This is going to be different..." he muttered to himself before walking forward and into the hall where he and the other seniors would be meeting their junior partners, hoping that he was not the first person to arrive. When he entered into the room he quickly spotted three people and while that was better than finding nobody he couldn't help but think he had expected more to beat him to the punch. Of course he knew one of them, Varthur, a fellow senior whom he had seen before, though never said a word to, which wasn't really uncommon for Kei seeing as he stayed mostly to himself. Even without being well acquainted it was nice to see a familiar face, it let him know he was indeed in the right place at the very least. Of course there were two people he didn't recognize, a girl (Momo) and another man (Akihisa), both of whom he assumed to be juniors since he had never seen them before and he liked to think while he didn't really strike conversations with people he never missed someone completely.

He blinked after a moment, realizing that he had been staring at the three people slightly and feeling a bit embarrassed about it, the expression on his face not changing much. It was a bit awkward though, he wasn't talkative and he didn't know what to say as he entered the room which almost always lead to him saying nothing. He walked over, determined to give some sort of greeting, and gave a rather low "Morning" to all of them as he went and sat his bag on the front row without hesitation. Usually he enjoyed sitting farther back, but with these chairs they never seemed to leave enough space in between rows so he needed the extra leg room, being 6'1" making it hard to be comfortable otherwise. Sitting just didn't seem right at the moment though, not before he was sure they were all set up and that he wasn't needed to help do anything, besides standing there was much less awkward than being the only seated individual. Plus it gave him a chance to look at the two Juniors without being too obvious, simply making note of their faces and wondering if he should introduce himself. Finally he decided to try to do things differently this year and actually talk to people, especially when he would have to talk to one at the very least, might as well just go for it. Looking at the other few people in the room with them he finally spoke up, "The name is Kei, I assume the two of you are Juniors" (Momo and Akihisa)

Moki

"Moki...Moki....Wake up!" The faint voice of his elderly grandmother caught the boys attention as he laid awkwardly spread on his bed still wearing his blue leotard from the local gymnastics tournament he was apart of yesterday. Luckily, he won, with a large gold medal to prove it, yet gymnastics is very competitive, and Moki doesn't just win because of luck. He practices, a lot. He might be one of the best gymnasts locally, but that's only within a few schools. Semifinals was in a week, that would determine the competitors for the grand district tournament that was coming up in only a month, and he had to practice a lot if he wanted to win that. Moki rubbed his pink and purple hazel eyes softly as he looked out the window and saw that it was a little bright outside."Grandmother---What, what time is it?"

"8:00, you've been sleeping like a log---"

"8:00!? Why didn't you wake me earlier, Oh my, I'm going to be so late!" Moki quickly jumped out of bed, putting on his large light blue hoodie that was messily placed on the boys wooden floor, it had his schools name in big white letters. He grabbed his gym-bag that was just outside the doorway to his room, he also used as a backpack, since he was always busy being field-tripped out of school for his talents."No time to explain grandma-ma,"He said swiftly, giving her a kiss on the cheek,"I'll be home after school-,"Moki paused, and thought. He has plans afterschool. Plans his grandmother, or anyone for that matter should know about. In only a few seconds, his tone changed from hasty to a little weary,"I'll be home later on tonight. Love you Grandmother!" He yelled. As he ran out the door he grabbed a piece of toast and his worn out sneakers as well as a pair of white knee-high socks.

"I swear that boy is going to be the death of me." His grandmother said with a smile on her face as he walked out the door. Then, she went off to her mini-greenroom, where she kept most of her plants and herbs.

Moki attempted to hop on one foot as he put his shoes and socks on. After the success, he begun to eat the piece of toast as he ran through the early morning, between people in suits and children who were just getting off to school.'Hey watch it kid!' and 'Watch where you're going' was being yelled at him from people he didn't even know. The morning felt a little breezy, the only thing he was wearing was the hoodie over his leotard, which was short on its own, stopping at his upper thigh. Though this is what he usually wore to school, it was just convenient."I'm going to be late, I'm going to be late." He chanted to himself as he begun to do flips and high jumps to avoid hitting things. A couple blocks down, he could see his school. Airdalen High, where he has spent the last few years learning, and making a title for himself---whatever that title may be. A brief smile crossed his face."Only a little further."

He rushed through the front door, scratching and messing with his choppy purple hair to get it at least somewhat decent. He didn't feel as prepped, since he really didn't do much to get himself ready that morning, although Moki had a natural attractiveness about him, which people notice more rather than himself. He was still a little tired from yesterdays tournament, which caused him to oversleep, if it wasn't for his grandmother, he'd probably still be snoozing away in bed. The boy knew exactly where to go, he felt as though he could find any class in the school with his eyes closed. When he arrived at his destination, he hoped to have the opportunity to sneak in, yet he realized that not everyone was even here. Did he get the time wrong? He didn't mind much when it started, he just let out a sigh of relief that he wasn't late. He saw a few familiar faces, yet a few people he didn't recognize. Moki put his gym-bag in a seat and plopped in the chair beside it. His light, golden brown face had a glow of red in it from him running. He didn't feel too tired from the run, he just wasn't prepared to have run such a distance with such little preparation. He unzipped the large back he had with him, and pulled out a small lollipop with the word 'SWEET MINT' on it, he took the wrapper off in put it in his pocket, then begun to suck on the sucker, observing the people that got there before him.

He noticed that there was a group of people talking amongst each other. A couple of them were fellow seniors, maybe he had a couple classes with them, though never really talked to them. He didn't really get noticed by many people in his grade, because of his height and appearance, which caused most people to assume he was younger, maybe this event would help him branch out a little more. Aside from the other gymnasts, and a few other athletes, he didn't have many people to talk to. Well, this year things were going to be different. At least, he hoped.

Kairen

“Kairen, sweetheart its time to get up for your first day at your new school” Herr mother called from the other side of the bedroom door. Sitting up Kairen got out of bed and grabbed her glasses “Mom!” she called out her door “Yes sweetheart?” “Can you help me with my hair?” the sound of her mom’s heels coming up the Marble staircase once again. “Alright Kai, sit. Braids or ponytail?” Kairen smiled at her mother “Braids” her mother fixed her hair within a few moments and was out of the room again.

Kairen now walked over to her closet and picked out a pink and white striped short sleeved shirt, black mid-thigh length black skirt with lace trim and a pair of black boots cut low in the front. Putting on a white Beret she smiled at her appearance as she finally put on her glasses. Her mom and dad had asked her countless times if she wanted to wear contacts but all she would do is shake her head and respond “I don’t want to change for anyone, I like myself just the way I am, glasses and all.” To which her mom and dad just smiled and nodded their heads in understanding. She grabbed her backpack and ran down stairs “Bye mom, bye dad” she called running out the door.

----At school—

“Wow, this place is so big” her eyes were wide as she walked down the hall gazing all over the place bumping into a few people here and there “Sorry” she would say profusely and continue walking. All the kids at this school seemed to know what they were doing and where to go, there were groups of kids all over the place and she could pick out the popular kids from the nerds because the popular girls all wore skirts that barely covered their underwear…then again her secret weekend life was a bit like that…well aside from the skanky clothing style and the obviously dyed hair.

she followed the chalk drawn arrows down the halls looking for where she was supposed to meet her senior partner, or guide or...whatever ""I wonder what My guide will be like, I really hope they aren't a total jerk" she eventually wound up at the assembly hall.

Walking in the noticed a few seniors...or so she guessed... setting up chairs and what not "Um...Not to interrupt but do you guys need any help?"

Tomoyo


"Hey Tomoyo, wake up." Those were the first words he heard the first day of senior year. "Hey, wake up!" Tomoyo opened his eyes tiredly and saw that it was his mom who was calling him. Then he closed his eyes again. "Tomoyo you're late, it's already 10am!" Tomoyo jerked up. "What?" He exclaimed. Tomoyo quickly got on his pants and uniform and scurried down stairs, while putting on his socks. He grabbed his backpack and a rice cake.
"Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" Tomoyo whined. Tomoyo's mom stood silently, trying to conceal her laughter.
"Seriously mom, do you not care if your son is late or not?" She burst into laughter.
"It's not funny" he said while putting on his shoes.
"Ahh, my little Tomoyo! I was just kidding!" His mother said still giggling.
"What!" Tomoyo exclaimed. "MOM! Stop doing that to me. You almost gave me a heart attack."
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it" Tomoyo's mom said.
"So what time is it really?" Tomoyo said slouching down eating his rice cake.
"8:10"
Tomoyo smiled "Common mom, I am not going to fall for your tricks again."
"No it really is, look." Tomoyo's mom picked up the table clock shaped like an egg and put it in front of Tomoyo's face. Tomoyo looked at the clock for another ten seconds. She's right! Tomoyo's heart leaped, and so did he out of the house. The school was about a mile from his school, and his record for a mile was 4:50 so if he was to push it, he could get there by 8:16 fourteen minutes before those juniors come.
Tomoyo sprinted as fast as he could, dodging people and things with great speed. In five minute he was there, at school all sweaty and breathless. "Well that's no good" he said to himself. He took off his school jacket revealing his toned arms and pumped chest. He walked to school. Yup this is going to be a goo- SMACK! What the hell. Tomoyo took the towel off his face. "Who did this?" He raved. In front of him was a bucket with a sign: "Tomoyo floor cleanup." no! Not again! Why is it always me? I done nothing wrong except come to school late every now and then, and hit on school girls, and sometimes throw paper balls at teacher's faces, but everyone does this every now and then. He thought as he got on the floor and started wiping the floor from one end to the other. He night have knocked over a few things and people but he was so preoccupied in moping he didn't notice.
After the painful ten minutes of work, he dragged himself down the hallway to where his class was suppose to be, but stopped because he saw, his good old friend, and how else would he greet him other than with his usual greeting.
"Asher!" He yelled as he left the ground to do a jump kick. It hit him (Varthor) right in the face. Head Shot was the first thing he thought followed by an Oh crap. and then a crash. "OH YEA! HEAD SHOT!" Tomoyo said as he quickly recovered. He looked down at Varthur "Wait you're not asher!" He said, and then he realized that Asher moved away last year. "Oh heh, sorry about that." He said as he picked up Varthur from the ground.

Akira rubbed her eyes with a long extended yawn. She then sighed and began tugging at her jacket unhappily. She got mistook for a boy when she went to get her uniform, so she really didn't enjoy the fit of it, it was baggy in all the right places to make her look even more like a male! On the bright side, yes, think on the bright side Akira.. at least you can join the boy's teams now. The girls teams were far too easy last year... how did she even get mistaken for a boy!? Well...her short hair and anti-feminine clothes may have not helped in the slightest, but she decided it may make for an interesting year. It would at least stir up some controversy. All the seniors knew she was a girl so it was bound to catch someones attention. Her junior teachers did as well, but the senior teachers were a whole new ball game, ha, ballgame. Speaking of that...what sport was she going to try out for this year? Track maybe, or perhaps basketball. Then reality set in, she didn't actually know the rules to basketball...If nothing else, she would be on the track team. Running was fun...sorta. She looked up to see she was at the main gate, running for the school building excitedly. This was the first day of a new year, it was okay to be excited right? New grades, New teachers, new people, new everything. This year had to be perfect..it was her senior year afterall. Akira walked into the building, would she get a cool kid to show around, or one of those geeky-book worms? Either way, they'd best be able to keep up, cause she wasn't one to walk slow... Where was she supposed to help out again..? Then she remembered, instantly running off to the hall, skidding to a stop to open the door, opening it slowly, "Is there anything left for me to help with? I know I'm late... Sorry, sorry~"

"Wow this looks great mom!!" Bishop came down stairs wearing his new school uniform, with the blazer off and collar undone. "I'm glad you like it, I thought you'd like something special. So I made an American like breakfast this morning. Bishop seemed to drool seeing the plate of delicious chewy bacon. He liked his bacon chewy. "Uh, I noticed.." He began to dig in, having a full spread breakfast laid before him. It was actually enough to feed 3 people, but due to his high calorie burn and fast metabolism he ate for two people. "Your father will be Skyping us with his meal as well, so don't eat too much ok?" He nodded and slowed down, when his mother's laptop got a Skype call and their father came up on screen. He was wearing his Naval Working Uniform, with a Styrofoam box filled with food in front of him as he sat in his office. "Good morning dad! How's it going?" Bishop smiled, seeing the joy in his father's eyes as he smiled and looked at him and his mother. "Well hello there.... Don't you look sharp in your uniform. You need a haircut though kid. Hello dear." His father Alex smiled to his mother, who blushed. "Dashing as always dear... Its good to see you." Bishop blushed a bit, hearing the emotion in their voices. People always wondered how they could pull off being separated for long periods of time. But both of his parents said, that the distance keeps them closer emotionally. "You're filling out that shirt nicely... About time puberty kicked in." "Dad!!" He blushed at his father's teasing with his mother laughing in the background. So that when they are together, there's nothing but love. They discussed and talked over breakfast until they had to leave. Bishop put his blazer on, and rolled the sleeves up. The weather was too nice to have long sleeves.

In the car, they were still talking to his dad discussing plans for his return. "You excited for school son?" His mother casted him a glance. "Eh, more or less.... Its just going to be different. You know my Japanese isn't perfect... And I have a funny accent." Alex laughed, but reassured him. "Oh come on... Girls love accents, how do you think I got your mother?" She blushed and giggled. "He's right dear... You'll be fine. Now, just in case i got you a small map with a highlighted route back to our house, and a pocket translation book." Bishop got a blank look, with a sweat drop at his forehead. "Loving the confidence mom...."

Both of his parents laughed, as they were just a few seconds from the front gate. "You have enough food dear?" "Yeah mom, I should be fine. If not... Lesson learned." Bishop turned to marvel at all the cherry blossoms around. There was nothing like it in the world, and he absolutely loved it. "Well, here we are!" His mother Yoko smiled looking at him. "Have a great day ok sweety?" "Thanks mom I will..." He hugged her close and unbelted. "Give'em hell son! I expect a girlfriend by the time I return." "Aye cap'!" He smirked and winked at his mother who giggled and waved goodbye just before she left. "I love you!!"

Bishop turned to see the school, and marveled at the spectacle of it. "So this is it... Here we go!" With that, Bishop started to go over his Japanese which was almost second nature to him... Almost, there were only certain words he didn't know about different topics. Which made things difficult at times. He walked through the front door, surprised that it was sliding and looked towards the sign. How Bishop got here was a bit of luck, he got a swimming scholarship for the school and gladly excepted. He was a natural born athlete, having played numerous sports. He wasn't amazing at all of them, but cause of his natural abilities he had a little more than the basics. But swimming was his true sport, seconding that was track & field. The junior followed the signs giving a quick jump as some douche sprinted past him.... But he was fast! Bishop assumed that he was heading in the same direction and followed. "Excuse me..." <This should be the right room...> He cleared his throat, seeing several people setting up the chairs in rows inside the hall, and glanced back at the guy he walked past (Akira) though he looked a little effeminate for a guy, oh well. There weren't too many folks, so he just scooted over to the side not wanting to seem weird or something. That's the last thing he needed on his first day. He debated putting in his headphones to listen to his Ipod, some Drake sounded really good right now.

Silas yawned, the hot water collecting in his mouth. Nothing quite like a hot shower in the morning to wake up. God I hate mornings. He sighed, leaning his head against his arm on the shower wall, letting the torrent spill over his head. First day of Senior year. His last year at Airdalen. Silas frowned, remembering why he got up at all today.

Juniors.

Little. Tiny. What? 15-year-olds? And He was assigned babysitting duty. Just... Wonderful. Finishing up washing his hair, Silas stepped out and dried off... Pausing to take a deep breath and run his hand over his face heavily. If it wasn't for the fact the Junior + Senior program was required of him for graduation, there would be no way in hell they would get him to do this. Silas' eyes fell on his frown in the mirror, and he tried to crack a friendly grin. No. Bad Idea. ... It just looked scary. He sighed, letting his face fall back into a grimace. Too early for this shit. Pulling on the school's uniform, he scratched the head of his German Shepherd absentmindedly. He mussed his hair, leaving the short blond strands in their usual disarray. Damn it. Where is my jacket? Opening his closet, pulling it from the hanger and slipping the school's dark blue jacket over the white shirt.... Silas caught sight of himself in the mirror and scowled. ...Too... Fricking presentable. Pulling his tie loose, as well as the first two buttons of the uniform shirt, he smirked. Much better.

Throwing his gear into a sport sac, Silas grabbed his school bag as well and stalked out of his room into the kitchen. Five minutes, and it was as if the world were a completely different place. The good kind of place. One filled with sparkly rainbows and unicorns and shit. Yes... Everything was fine now. Silas had his coffee.
He sipped it as he fed the dog, making himself some toast and eggs. It was his morning ritual. Shit. His life ritual- caring for himself. You had to learn how to do things yourself, when all you had was yourself to fall back on. Eating slowly, Silas stared at the clock. He stabbed another piece of egg just as the clock struck 8. I really... Do not... want to go.

The door opened with a bang, Startling both the young man and the dog. "Guten morgen."

It was his father. The man shrugged off his business coat with a sigh, looking at the clock and back to Silas. His deep voice was full of german inflection, but emotionless; "You will be late." Silas hadn't seen his father for three days. He turned away, disposing of his plate in the sink. "It doesn't matter. Nothing important starts until fifteen after." He turned back around, refusing to meet his fathers eyes and shouldered his bags. There was a pause as the two men stood facing each other, before Silas made to move around the man. "I'll be leaving-" "I will take you." Silas froze. His father was going to drive him?

Five minutes later, Silas was at school. The car ride had been smooth and silent, as was Silas when he exited the car. ".... Tschüß Vater." His father nodded, already pulling away, and Silas turned to enter the gates of his school. So much for a relaxing morning. He ran his hand through his hair, grinning up at the sky, squinting against the sun. At least here... Here he was free.




It was amusing to see the halls part for him. Though, if they hadn't, Silas would have just shoved his way through them anyway. One could tell who the returning students were- those chatting about the upcoming year excitedly. Then there were the little ones. The "fresh meat", and whatnot. Silas had a sneaking suspicion these Junior + Senior pairings were not only for academic benefits... Rather, the Seniors were now 'bodyguards' of sorts... Responsible if anything happened to these hopeless sniveling creatures. He chuckled. What? It was how he learned. You want to be on top, you fight for it. You fight dirty. If the teachers thought these cozy little pairings were going to stop hazing well... good luck.

He winked at a Junior girl, before entering the auditorium. It was filling with students, slowly trickling in and breaking off to their respected sides. All the chairs had already been set up. Dropping his bags in a seat, he recognized the short brown bob, standing near some other seniors.

"Hey~ My man." Silas strode up to the group, leaning an arm over Akira's shoulders, and grinned down at her; "Been working out much?" His eyes traveled pointedly to her chest then back up to meet her gaze playfully, "I see you haven't changed, and neither have your... "pecs". " He knew she hid them on purpose, but what was the fun of teasing someone if you didn't get a reaction? Besides, he was known for shooting his mouth off. ... A lot. He smiled, blue eyes roaming over the crowds of new students, disinterested; "Well… Looks like I didn't miss anything interesting after all."

"You don't look like a janitor?" Varthur heard a fellow male voice call out to him. He didn't seem to recognise it though which made sense seeing as whoever it was had been comparing him to a janitor. Do I really look that stupid helping set up by myself? He couldn't help but wonder with a slight hint of irritation as he set one more chair down that squeaked against the hall's floorboard, "Who are you?" Varthur turned around about to respond to the (Akihisa) boy's question. He figured the kid was a junior since he was in uniform, at the hall, and not familiar in identity but ceased his mouth from opening as his eyes came across another person in the room. Holy craa--p! Varthur's head turned away almost at the speed of lightning at the unmistakenable face of Momo Yakamoto. It had been exactly 3 years since the two had last seen each other and it didn't go too well...
"Hey you over there, you should lend a hand." Varthur gulped thinking Momo had drawn her attention his way and was more than ready to twist around and yell back defensively: "speak for yourself! I'm working over here!" but.. it turned out he was wrong. Momo had been talking to the othe junior as he facepalmed himself for being so ridiculous. Of course she wasn't talking to you, why did you think she was talking to you?! Do you want her to talk to you?! Of course not! he reconfirmed in the confines of his mind before continuing to set up the chairs rushingly to not allow the situation to get more tense or awkward. It wasn't long before another senior showed up which brought a great deal of relief to Varthur. Although the fellow senior Kei, wasn't someone he knew particularly the company was greatly appreciated. He had his hand ready to wave his fellow classmate over and to say "Heyyy Keiiii" in a friendly cheerful tone but instead felt an invisible force of fail come into contact as the senior started talking to Momo and that other Junior. Kei, you have launched yourself over to the dark side. He contemplated with his head hitting repeatedly against the wall of the school hall as he was trying to at least have someone he could build up forts and defences with from the woman's rage. Yet his effort at socialising was going to go to waste with Momo managing to get the attention of others like that; much better than he could anyway.

"Um...Not to interrupt but do you guys need any help?" a female voice snapped Varthur out of his thoughts. Looks like a junior. (Kairen) The young girl looked pretty cute with her black hair in two pony tails like that but checking her out was easily dismissed as he went right to addressing her question. He was a senior, so he figured he might as well act like one. Maybe Momo would leave him alone and get intimidated with his senior superiority at work.. yeah that was it! "Sure.." Varthur replied, rubbing the back of his head. "I've finished all the chairs but you can help clean up the stage area for when the teachers get here and announce stuff.." he concluded casually, moving one of the chairs slightly with a tap of his shoe."Asher!" Varthur heard someone yell behind him as he was about to remind whoever it was that Asher was no longer attending Airdalen until the recognisable brown-haired freak of nature of a fellow senior's feet left the ground through the air about to.. Cr-aaap! Varthur managed to swear in his head before the kick landed square on his face sending him flying to the next wall. "OH YEA! HEAD SHOT!". With Varthur's back sliding against the wall and his cheek red from the incident. "Screw you Tomo.. Screw you.." he muttered quietly so only he could hear, rubbing his sore cheek thinking what on earth he could have done to deserve this. "Wait you're not asher!" Tomoyo replied, helping Varthur up. "Ugh seriously dude.. not cool." Varthur remarked, still rubbing the redness of his left cheek feeling a bit embarrassed taking a hit like that in front of some of the girls already present. Akira, another fellow senior dashed in. "Is there anything left for me to help with? I know I'm late... Sorry, sorry~" Varthur placed a hand to the side of his mouth to yell back, "Oi it's alright, the teacher ain't here yet.. just help finish cleaning the stage!" he directed, somewhat pleased with seeming like the responsible one around here. Maybe THAT would keep crazy little Momo off his case. Varthur turned back to Tomoyo, wanting to return the kick with a special punch of his own but who was he kidding.. he couldn't even climb up a rope in P.E class.

"Hmm.." Momo watched observantly as the student (Akihisa) dragged a few chairs over from the back and started helping her set up the rest of the chairs in that row. He seemed to look at Varthur a bit during this time leading her to be suspicious that he was a senior too and the two boys were acquainted already. He really didn't look or act like a senior though, as when she spotted him earlier he was just standing around as if waiting to be told to do something.. or maybe seniors were like that these days; irresponsible. Then again, maybe he was clueless because he was a fellow junior.. one that wasn't quite aware of what to expect from high school and just like she had, walked into a somewhat eerily empty auditorium confusedly. Not that the hall was empty now, flocks of students seemed to pour in from all directions tempting Momo's nerves to resurface but she managed to contain herself. This school year was going to be much different sure, but she was prepared for anything having done all the research. Momo brushed back a few pink strands of hair away from her forehead, feeling satisfied that she had contributed to her new school almost forgetting entirely about Varthur attending. Her blue eyes shifted to the the guy who had been helping her as he seemed to just be standing there again, clueless. Or maybe simply waiting for something entertaining to happen.

"The name is Kei, I assume the two of you are Juniors" Momo almost toppled over the row she had just finished, taken off guard by the sudden approach of a senior who she hated to admit, was somewhat intimidating with that tone of voice. She could depict that he was confident, having asserted his name so casually which was somewhat impressive but then again, what did seniors have to fear about juniors anyway? They were practically at the very top of the food chain. Momo adjusted her glasses, trying to play it cool as she believed impressions were everything.. especially since today was the very first day afterall. You assume correctly.. say it! "You assume correctly." she replied, looking up only now to really glance at the senior's appearance which lead her to feel even more intimidated. He was quite tall and frankly, looked quite tough and strong too. Momo wasn't quite certain what aspect of him had lead to the conclusion he was 'tough and strong' but she was nonetheless pretty sure he was. She probably appeared to be a midget in size compared to this guy.

Despite everything, she was pretty used to keeping a deceiving calm demeanor in front of others.. even when she was panicking on the inside or unsure of what to do or what next to say. She deemed coping with such an elegant composure as one of her best qualities. It was really only her mother who she couldn't hide it all behind. Her mother could read her as clear as daylight so it was not of any use trying to sneak off or keep secrets. Mrs Yakamoto might as well have been telepathic. "My name is Momo and this is.." She turned, looking over at the other assumed junior (Akihisa) not yet knowing his name. At least he wasn't a senior, and therefore not a possible friend of Varthur's... Oh snap, but Kei could be. she thought, folding her arms with a bored expression deciding to let the guy introduce himself but in the meantime... May we help you? "May we help you?" she asked Kei. The question came out more stupid than it sounded revised in her mind but she wasn't quite sure what else to say. In one way it seemed only right to ask, as he had approached them in the first place. On the other hand, it looked utterly stupid.. a junior asking if they could help a senior. Her thoughts were interrupted by a rather loud 'crash' she thought she heard.. and she wasn't mistaken as she quickly turned her head to scan her surroundings if there had been some sort of accident. Her care for the situation diminished quickly as the source appeared to be Varthur making contact with the wall..painfully so. The only thing she regretted was having not seen how the accident had happened. A devilish smirk surfaced her face as she turned back to her company, though she was highly unaware of it. It had just appeared rather naturally at best.

" Wake Up.... Wake Up!!!! I Said "WAKE UP!!!!"

The loud roaring of Kida opened the tired eyes of Kumi. She gave a yawn and a stretch and turned her head to look at her alarm clock. It was an hour early before she had to wake up. Kumi sighed and glared at her brother.

"What did I say about waking me up early Kida?"


"Sister I couldn't sleep and Seshiru hasn't made food yet. I'm hungry!...."

"Fine I will make you some eggs. Okay?"


"Yay!"

Kida ran out of the room and clomped down the stairs. Kumi rubbed her temples as she sat up in bed. She threw on her robe and slipped into her slippers. She slowly walked over to her bathroom and turned on the faucet. A quick splash of cold water and she was wide awake. As she dried her face with her soft towel she remembered about her school uniform. She dreaded the day she would have to wear it. She walked over to Seshiru's room and banged on the door.

"Seshiru we don't pay you to sleep!"


Kumi giggled and walked down the stairs to her hungry brother. He grinned and held up his fork and knife. Kumi walked over to the fridge and grabbed the eggs and cheese as well as the toast. She started cooking everything and spiced it up. When she designed it on the plate for Kida and set it down in front of it he dug in right away. Kumi then smiled and receded back upstairs. She hopped into the shower and after brushed and straightened her hair. She then went to her closet and opened to see her uniform. She frowned as she pulled it out. She accidentally ordered several small uniforms that showed every detail of her body that she didn't want people to see. She was quite embarrassed when she put it on and looked in her mirror. Her face grew red and she held her face. The uniform was tight and outlined her boobs and butt. It made them so obvious.

"Aww Crap!"

Right then Seshiru came in on her and grinned, "My gosh Kumi. That's really.... revealing..."

Kumi freaked out and grew as red as a tomato. She then threw a book at him that she got from her shelf and ran over and shut the door. After she finally excepted her uniform she got her bag together and looked at the clock. She was going to be late! She ran down the stairs and kissed Kida on the forehead and told him to get ready for school. They said their goodbyes and Kumi ran out and hopped into the limo. Kumi hated those rich schools. She wanted to go to a normal high school so she did. Seshiru hopped into the car and started the car up right away. They arrived at the school shortly.

"Damn where do I go..."
Kumi spoke in a wondering voice as she arrived. She then saw directions and ran towards the area she was supposed to be in. She then opened the door and turned red as she saw all the people. She then looked down at her revealing clothing and sighed. She hoped she would fit in. For a girl with revealing clothing and green hair she might not get a great reputation. She stood there awkwardly taking in all the people. She was blushing still and didn't know what to do.

Akira blinked and placed a hand over her mouth when she saw a boy walk in she nearly accidentally trampled, "Sorry there...uhm...?" he was a junior so she didn't very well know him, she'd apologize to him later, it'd be hard to miss a blonde at that school (Bishop). She ran a hand through her hair, trying to fix it, boy, she slightly beat from running around the school, this felt pretty pathetic, because this was only the beginning of her exercize, she still had a junior to show around.. Hopefully she got one that wasn't too disagreeable or weak, she didn't want to walk at a snails pace. More importantly, she'd have to do a lot better if she wanted to join the sports teams as a boy. Taking care of grandma must've thrown off her training routine and whatnot.

Then she noticed someone else, Oh god Silas! He was definately going to poke fun at her! She looked up at the tall boy whom now had his arm draped over her shoulder, "Hello there. Silas." She rolled her eyes, "H-hey! You have better things to do then scope me out, like help me clean the stage!" she snapped after hearing Varthur give her the order, "Yes sir Varthur, sir~" she smiled a goofy grin, her cheeks turned a light pink from Silas's comments, but she shook it off. They'd been friends for a while, she was getting pretty used to his comments, "Can I vote you most likely to contract an STD, or most likely to end up in prison, Silas?" she smirked at him, literally dragging him over to the stage, handing him one of two brooms she'd aqquired on the way, "Sweep. I'm sure you know how, right?" she asked quizically. She began sweeping herself, rather quickly actually. She did it every day around the house for her sickly grandmother, or her grandmother who at least claimed to be to sickly to take on any of the family chores or even work. She needed to get a job since her grandmother quit.. or she wouldn't be able to afford living in her house. This was all so troublesome. As Akira realized she'd made a decent pile, she bent down and pulled the pan off the broom, sweeping the junk onto the pan. She never realized how dirty a highschool was... ew. And to think someone else had already began cleaning on this stage? Highschool was disgusting.

"Oi, Silas, what sport are you going for this year?" she asked tilting her head to the side, she was undecided, so she'd keep her mind off it for a little while... her main talent was sports, if that went away, she didn't know what she'd do..Her smarts weren't terrible, she got decent grades, it was probably her next best skill, sure she wanted to improve her grades, but most of all, she wanted to improve how she talked with others. She was a dud when it came to being a salesperson, and all the way up to talking to boys...well, she looked at Varthur and Silas, boys she liked.

"H-hey! You have better things to do then scope me out, like help me clean the stage!" He frowned at Akira; "Well thanks for volunteering me. You suck up." She wasn't listening; yelling back at some kid named Varthur. Sounded… Familiar. Silas turned, his eyes settling lazily upon the boy. Oh him… He was fairly well known wasn't he? Mr. Smarty-Pants or something? … And he was cradling his head. Weird. Kind of cute... In a pathetic, lost puppy sort of way...

"Can I vote you most likely to contract an STD, or most likely to end up in prison, Silas?" He glanced back down at her, an evil smile coming to his lips- challenging her own smirk. He didn't miss a beat; "Only if you're the one willing to infect me, babe. ... And put me in cuffs..." Silas' deep laughter turned heads as he followed her, letting himself be pulled along by the wrist. Oh girl, you asked for that one.

"Of course I can sweep" He took the broom from her, setting to work, sniffing in mock offense and mocking her british accent; "A man who cannot sweep, should not be called a man." He danced away from any retribution that may come from his teasing. Akira was good fun. Hothead that one... And she threw a good punch.

He looked out over the growing crowd of students, the juniors sitting awkwardly in their seat, as the older students either conversed or cleaned. "Oi, Silas, what sport are you going for this year?" "Hm? Oh... Same as last year." He smiled, tipping his head back towards the general direction of his seat; "Football. I brought my things with me today to practice after school." Come to think of it... "Hey Akira..." Silas stopped sweeping, leaning his chin on the broom as his eyes narrowed, studying her. "You don't have a set sport do you?" A slow smile curved on his lips; "Wanna.... Try out?"

Silas waved his hand nonchalantly at her attire "Looking like that, I'm sure no one would notice you're not a guy." He smirked. "You're always complaining about not being challenged enough." Silas chuckled, turning away from her to finish sweeping up the corner of the stage; "Making the team is difficult, but if you do... well... you'll have plenty of challenge." He looked over his shoulder, winking at her; "Mainly, trying not to get squashed by people like me."

Bishop


Bishop had eventually taken a seat on the very left side side of the rows second last from the back. He had opted to listen to some music, why not try and play cool right? Be that mysterious bad boy or something or........ Anyways! He bobbed his head unashamedly side to side, up and down and back and forth subtly lip syncing the lyrics to the rap song. He looked around, trying to people watch which he always enjoyed but didn't keep his music too loud so that someone could grab his attention when needed. It was then he noticed a green haired girl (Kumi) or rather... Noticed her body. <She looks good... Don't be a creep.> He looked away after checking the girl out. She didn't need THAT kind of attention especially on her first day, Bishop was just being a guy. He observed around taking in everyone. Some pink haired girl talking to two guys (Momo, Kei and Akihisa), with the guy that nearly trampled him talking with some other guy (Akira and Silas)... Was he German? He's been to Germany, and knows what the people look like tall blonde and generally pale. His was minimal, but found it to be a cool language. Finally after scanning the crowd, he looked up the two who seemed like good friends (Varther and Tomo).... Or so he thought. He'd let his friends flying dragon kick them in the face, or rather. He would be excepting if his friend did that. No one here he thought could be his partner for the day.

His mood switched and he swayed to the tunes of a piano playing a hip hop riff. It was easy to say, he really got into music nodding his head rhythmically with his blonde hair swaying delicately in the peaceful morning light. He was glad to be sat by the window, so he could enjoy the view. "Good song..." He spoke softly, as a Chris Brown song came on featuring Keri Hilson. His mind suddenly wondered to when swim practice would start... Certainly not on the first day! Right? Also, would other teams let him practice with them? He enjoyed soccer recreationally, and needed to stay active during the off seasons or else he went nuts! He always thought he got his energy from his lively mother. Bishop's free floating mind was anchored back to reality, as he noticed more and more people shuffling in and thought of moving. <Ugh... When is this thing going to start? I'm getting restless!!> He fidgeted and sighed as the song coming through his headphones changed again.

TEACHER ALERT: Mr Swato


The English teacher who was very well dressed, walked inside the hall with his footsteps so light and his height about the same of any highschooler that he was hardly taken notice of by anyone including juniors and seniors alike until he reached the stage, tapping the microphone. "Testing...1...2...3" He said in his usual boring monotone voice before turning his head amazingly slow towards the direction of the two senior students (Silas and Akira) on stage along with him. "You may get down now, thankyou.." He said to the two of them politely before continuing to talk into the mic. Grasping his hands behind his back, his shoes seemed to rock him back and forth as he spoke to address everyone in the hall. "Welcome Juniors to.. Airdalen High... and Welcome back Seniors to..Airdalen High.. you may clap now." he said awkwardly yet in all seriousness. When the applause was finished right down to the very last clap, he moved on. "As you all know.. or should..know.. this year we're doing things differently with a Junior and Senior..program.. right.. Seniors please come to the front." he directed straight forwardly, the mic falling down off the stand causing a loud screechy sound to echo throughout the whole hall. Not that Mr Swato seemed bothered by it at all on his merry way to the hidden cabinet backstage. He pulled out a few keys from his pocket, opening the cabinet with ease which contained a bunch of different colored boxes. Mr. Swato picked up a rather heavy blue one, slowly and difficultly to the point it looked as if he could collapse any moment, moved back to where the microphone was on the ground and dropped the box right beside it.
One senior came over to which Mr. Swato very slowly maybe even precautiously handed out to the girl the first plastic sleeve from the box with materials inside it. At the front of every sleeve was a sticker of a Junior's portrait photo on the left and the right hand side included that Junior's name. Inside every sleeve was a few pieces of paper, two pens and.. that's just all. Mr. Swato wasn't in charge of the program though with his intellect, he could think of several ways the paper and pens could prove useful. Nonetheless he dearly hoped he wouldn't have to put up with it. Actually he wasn't interested in it at all.. He was simply here to perform a favour as it just so happened that teacher he owed was running late. He really didn't want to be here.. he would rather be in his study reading shakespeare.

Kei Takeda

Kei was glad that more people were arriving and a bit happy that he had introduced himself, he needed to make a few friends from the school, most of his friends being neighborhood kids or guys from his gym. Of course he was also kind of feeling bad about knowing nothing but names of even his fellow classmates, something that he would try and change over the course of the year, knowing he had to try and talk to people instead of staying to himself. Not that it would be easy, he liked silence and being alone a lot of the time. With a Junior being assigned to him though he would have to do some talking, so why not go a bit further with it and step out of his usual self and get to know some people. "You assume correctly." One of the two Juniors (Momo) finally answered him, though it wasn't what he had expected. Not that it really bothered him, it was the kind of response he would have given under the circumstances as well, though when she gave her name he was glad that he hadn't come across too scary for her to introduce herself, "My name is Momo and this is.." He gave a slight smile, nodding his head and looking to the other Junior (Akihisa) whom seemed to be awaiting orders. "May we help you?" Kei's attention shifted back to Momo with her question, the look on his face once again remaining almost constant, nothing really phasing him due to his rather laid back nature. "Nope, just thought I would introduce myself, though I am sure that introductions of some sort will be taken care of when the pairings are given out." He spoke as if he was thinking a bit out loud, answering the question and going on just a bit.

He didn't continue on though, giving Momo a nod before he looked at some familiar faces as well as some new faces who entered into the room and went about their business. Honestly Kei felt a bit left out at the moment, he knew some of these people but he wasn't close with any of them in particular and most of them seemed to be talking to another or at the very least easily making introductions. He knew it was his fault though, his school life here had always been very little actual socialization, his only interaction with anybody being through sports and even then the main thing he did was boxing which wasn't really a social sport, nor that popular. The thought of boxing made Kei sigh, he hadn't been allowed to do that since the surgery over the summer, nor would he be allowed to do so for another couple weeks at the very least. He had tried to keep up with the same conditioning routine even if he had no practices or matches though, choosing to stay in good shape for when his shoulder was healed enough to allow him to pick up boxing again. Though while that was no wishful thinking neither was it guaranteed and he had to be cared, although the injury did open quite a few opportunities for him this year whether he liked it or not. He was a sports scholarship student, not stupid but not dedicated enough to get in with grades, and his mother made nowhere near enough to send him to any private school, especially this one. So when he got into the accident over the Summer he was given an ultimatum, either find at least one new sport to participate in besides boxing, which was a bit too much for him to handle until cleared to fight again, or lose the scholarship. It was obvious he had to find another sport to him and to his mom, who while supporting him even if he lost the scholarship by sending him to another school wanted him to stay. Of course it was a bit worrisome, the surgery had been a success but he hadn't tested it yet at all, he had kept in shape and done some shadow boxing but no contact and no overly strenuous movements. So he would have to see how tryouts for the different sports went and he would have to be careful of his injury, be careful not to let it get in the way or for it to get worse.

So for Kei this was going to be a very hard beginning of the year. He had to worry about finding another sport or more, which would be the least of his worries as he was a pretty good all-around athlete, and he had to make sure not to injure himself further. That was a lot of stress, but his mother told him to use it like an opportunity, explore academic options and other sports, try to make the best out of a bad situation. She was no doubt right and in the end Kei agreed but the most pressing matter was something different, that of the pairings. The Junior and Senior event would be interesting to say the least, he was dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time. He would hope for someone who he could relate to and get to know a bit but no matter who it was he would have to do his due diligence as the Senior and make sure his Junior figured everything out alright. So his attention was back on that, pushing aside the thought of sports until the teams actually began holding tryouts and waiting for a teacher to come get the show on the road. Of course it was awkward just waiting, others getting along just well with others, or at least that was how he saw it as he stood there. It would pick up though, for now he would simply stand and watch everyone assemble, there would be plenty of time to talk and if he didn't run around and engage random people in conversation he would be available if anyone needed anything, or so he rationalized.

It seemed it didn't really matter though because before anything else could happen Mr. Swato walked in. "Testing...1...2...3" He looked up as everyone else probably would, ready for whatever was to happen "Welcome Juniors to.. Airdalen High... and Welcome back Seniors to..Airdalen High.. you may clap now." It was almost funny how dry it was, giving permission to clap just seemed ridiculous, especially with the amount of seriousness Mr. Swato always exhibited. "As you all know.. or should..know.. this year we're doing things differently with a Junior and Senior..program.. right.. Seniors please come to the front." With that Kei did as he was instructed, finding his way to the front and awaiting the handout of who his partner would be. He took the plastic sleeve when it was offered, his eyes looking down at the picture on the front and who else but the girl Momo with whom he had already spoken. It didn't make things much different but it was nice that he had already at least said something to her. With that he turned around, looking at Momo and then back to the plastic sleeve. Well, she didn't seem so bad, he was a bit nervous about it being a girl but still, he was a Senior and this was part of it. Since the teacher didn't seem to care much he figured there was no need to stand in front after receiving the plastic sleeve and so he walked over to his Junior, figuring the others would do the same and there was no reason to hesitate. "Hi again, hope you still remember me. Just in case, I am Kei and I will be your Senior partner..." he said, feeling stupid the second he spoke, Of course she remembers... Sometimes I can be a real moron...

Maya Kenkon

"Dad! Put the pedal to the metal, we're going to be late",Maya exclaimed, poking her father's side with a pencil. They had both forgotten to turn on their alarm clocks the night before and unfortunatley were late. "I'm moving, I'm moving!" The older male grabbed his thermos of coffee and quickly chugged it before slamming his foot down on the gas,causing both them and the car to lurch forward. Maya didn't even let out an 'ouch' as her head slammed against the dashboard, only shaking herself slightly and buckling her seat belt.

After a death defying car ride that broke the laws of gravity and certain traffic rules, they finally made it to school. "Bye Dad!",she chirped,tugging on her book bag and hopping out of the car."Bye bunny" He gave her a large smile and backed the car up, a loud ding echoed throughout the courtyard as he backed into a 'NO Parking' sign. "Whoops",he muttered, glancing around for any witness's before speeding away.

Maya had to glance around herself as well, no one was there. It seemed a bit like a ghost town. That could only mean that she was way beyond bieng late. "Dang it",she hissed as she rushed off, trying to find where she had to go. This was usually a bit of a common occurence for Maya, bieng late for one reason or another. "Oh yeah, there was that orientation thing",she muttered, quickly changing her direction and heading down the hallway to the auditoreum. Taking a deep breath, she slowly opened the door. The brunette didn't want to draw attention to herself, especially to the fact that she was so incredibley late. "So far so good",she mumbled,slinking around in the back. Maya had apparently spoken to soon and ended up catching her coat on an abandoned stack of folding chairs, the metal objects sliding down and slamming against her legs. A crash resounded along with a small curse. Managing to pull herself up, Maya quickly realised that she had definatley drawn attention to herself. "Umm...sorry",she said quickly, untangling herself and pushing the chairs back in their original position." Carry on!" A small smile adorned her face as she slid down in an available seat, trying to push the slightly embarassing situation out of her head.

Akihisa

Akihisa heard the overs talk and simply carried on putting out a few chairs to embarrassed to say anything. He dragged the chairs slowly across the floor displaying his anger and boredom clearly. After he finished putting out some more chairs he sat down and begun to think of a way to introduce himself. "Hey, I'm Akihisa Yoshii and clearly a junior. I don't know anyone here so I guess in the odd one out." ~Why did I have to say Yoshii? Now I sound like a geek. I'm so bad at this!~ Akihisa lifted his legs up onto the chair beside him before he rummaged his hand through his hair to sort it out. ~Wait I get a partner today... Better not be one of these guys.~ Akihisa sat quietly on his chair, observing people as they entered the room from the main hall doors. ~I had so better get a girl...~

His train of thought was interrupted when a man stood in front of them tapping the mic. The man just liked like any other student and could of been one until Akihisa heard him welcome everyone to the school. When he had finished talking Akihisa joined in on the quiet and slow clap. Soon after this Akihisa threw his head into his hands at the sound of the mic falling from the stand. The screeching noise made him cringe but he slowly picked up his head to see some students walking towards the front of the room. As he handed out envelopes with student's pictures on them Akihisa bit his lip. ~Please give mine to a girl! Please...~ As he sat down in his chair Akihisa wondered if he should get up and wait for someone to approach him but instead he just remained seated as he thought he should. ~I didn't even make any lunch... And I bet you have to pay for them here!~ He sighed in realisation of his lack of food and crossed his fingers still hoping for a female partner.

Momo


The senior Kei reacted to her name by wearing a small smile then nodding his head before looking at the other Junior with her. Momo sighed inwardly which perfectly matched her bored expression but inside she was growing nervous by all the noise created inside the crowded hall. It made her feel insecure, noticing some people demonstrate outgoing qualities and being able to socialise so freely while Momo had that need to build a calmer, composed exterior of a shell until she came along the right people she could call good friends. She used to be like that, pretty outgoing and fun to be with but things drastically changed since..that day. Starting at a new school whilst not really knowing anyone.. Varthur of course excluded, at this point was very nerve- racking for her. In previous years when she was young, she had been picked on for her glasses; teased, ridiculed, called names and even beaten up. Probably the reason why that shell was developing so naturally; because she felt she could hardly trust anyone. Behind the glasses and expression displayed on her face in this situation, she was a nervous wreck but she had too much pride to admit it. This year was going to be different.. it just had to be. For one thing she had matured and acted more confident than she truly was which she hoped would keep people from picking on her again in high school. She had secretly been taking up an interest in sports, thinking it would also help develop her physical ability and therefore allowing her to work around a violent situation much better than she had experienced before. Flashing back onto those times made Momo gulp uneasily but other than that, she looked as normal as could be. "Nope, just thought I would introduce myself, though I am sure that introductions of some sort will be taken care of when the pairings are given out." Kei replied to her question as Momo abandoned thoughts of her past to focus on the now, the present. She waited for a while for him to say something or for the other Junior (Akihisa) to finally come around to introducing himself but neither happened. Kei simply nodded before staring off into the distance of the rest of the hall. As the boys were distracted, Momo raised a pumped up fist in front of her chest trying to regain her excitement about her new school. "Ganbatte!" she exclaimed to herself with a bit of enthusiasm, making sure not to overdo it so she wouldn't look crazy talking to herself. "Hey, I'm Akihisa Yoshii and clearly a junior. I don't know anyone here so I guess in the odd one out." Momo looked down at where Akihisa was sitting before she had mentally slapped herself at him saying he was 'clearly' a junior due to her uncertainty about that the first time they talked. he wasn't as tall as the other seniors but there was nothing wrong or dumb with mistaking a junior for a senior right? He had been staring at Varthur for a while suspiciously so.. maybe he's homosexual. Momo pondered secretly to herself though she was only really half joking. She was well aware that just cause a guy stares at another guy.. doesn't lead to that conclusion.. entirely.

"Testing...1...2...3" Eh? Momo turned around fully to face the front of the hall where the stage was spotting a well dressed, dark haired man with the strangest of red coloured eyes standing there by the microphone. Gosh, he reminded her of Itachi from the anime series Naruto. "Welcome Juniors to.. Airdalen High... and Welcome back Seniors to..Airdalen High.. you may clap now." Momo blinked as it was far from the welcome she had originally expected to receive but nonetheless clapped to be polite about it. She could very well guess that the man was a teacher or at least some member of the high school staff yet he hadn't even expressed his name for them to identify him. Wasn't that the norm for first day introductions? As the clapping ended awkwardly as she would say, the man had more to say and it appeared his lack of spirit for the event was unaltering. "As you all know.. or should..know.. this year we're doing things differently with a Junior and Senior..program.. right.. Seniors please come to the front." Momo nodded, though she knew the instruction wasn't directed at her as she was a junior and so she patiently waited for whatever was to come next once in a while looking over her shoulder and at the front. Sitting down was rather tempting after setting up those very chairs. Akihisa was still around just sitting there and for all she knew could be sharing the same set of classes with her but the fact alone that he was a boy made her hesitate so she stayed standing, fidgetting with the ends of her blazer sleeves. At least the weather is fine today.. she drifted in thought to herself rather lonesome. "Maybe my partner will be a girl and we'll get along really well.. like sisters! she added, trying to have a positive outlook as her patience with each passing second grew thin. "Hi again, hope you still remember me. Momo just like the first meeting, nearly toppled over the chairs. She recognised that intimidating voice rather well by now already. "Just in case, I am Kei and I will be your Senior partner..." She raised an eyebrow, overcoming the shock of being assigned to him and thinking carefully on what to say next. Her usual self would've replied with: "You were just here a few minutes ago..." to support that of course, she was able to remember him. Unlike some, she hadn't met all that many people yet so names weren't hard to get a grasp of so far. Preferring to be polite and show some respect to the senior rather than point out the obvious, she instead responded with, "I see. Should we sit somewhere?" she asked, her eyes catching glimpse of the plastic sleeve he was holding before turning around to where Akihisa was. "Hey Akihisa was it? See you later then.. goodluck with your partner." she said before once again coming face to face with Kei. "You should lead the way, I'm not really sure what we're going to do.." she said, even chucking in a few innocent gestures such as a smile and tucking a pink strand of hair behind an ear without meaning to. What is this?! Junioritis? She scolded herself, knowing full well what they were going to do having read every piece of information on the school site relevant to her. Oh well, she figured she'd give the seniors the benefit of the doubt. Information was power afterall.

JACK


The Junior was sitting in the area he'd been instructed to follow, laying his backpack down on his lap, eyes open, and unable to sleep, despite having planned to use it as a pillow. After some amount of time, he was to be discovered by one of the bloody upperclassmen, whom he was to partner up with. As much as he wanted to nap again until the senior arrived, and his energy was restored so he could confront the other students at this new school of his. But that was also his undoing: or at least he thought so because a bit of paranoia kicked in, and Jack didn't want to wake up with something being done to him, perhaps a vile wet willy like in elementary school, being kicked in the stomach while his eyes were closed, getting his wallet stolen, being drawn on his face with marker…Now, he knew this may not happen for sure, but he'd never been to this school before, and it made him all the more cautious being there on his first day.

He thought about the arrows that had led him to this 'waiting area' of sorts, and even saw himself walking onto a huge red 'X' and having an anvil, or a piano dropped on him, like on some of those older cartoons, Tom and Jerry most fitting to his current situation. He'd have been Jerry the mouse, some Senior, likely the one assigned to him, being Tom the cat, and dropping an anvil, or a piano or something onto his head and laughing about it like a smug bastard. Oh, how it was so fun to imagine these sorts of outrageous scenes as explanations to even the littlest things in life, from old beliefs such as the easter bunny really actually being a chicken, or rudolph the red nosed reindeer a terminator sent back in time to kill Santa Claus, before being reprogramed to protect him. Yet These are merely just a few of the thoughts of a fool like Mr. McCoy.

The teen got up a little, and peeked around for someone to come to him, before sitting up on his back to wait, sighing when he looked into the floor, ceiling, and the walls before him, which were reminding him that he was stuck here for another few hours today, and it'd also be his prison for the rest of the week until the weekend, that is unless the school didn't believe in weekends.

"That'd be totally harsh…what kind of nut doesn't give us weekends?! When the hell else would we sleep in during the morning and stay up late to play video games or something? Would they still have winter and spring break, or do those just not count?…I wonder if this school has a mini-cafe with some coffee?….I need coffee like, more often so I don't fall asleep like I usually do. I wonder what Grampa has planned when I get home?…"

The young man's mind began to drift off as he went through various matters which were mostly of little importance...

Moki

It was not long before people started to walk into the hall sporadically. Moki could smell the different musk and perfumes collected amongst the bodies of the students surrounding him. He had a bad habit of not associating himself with others he didn't know very well, he'd perfered to be approached by other people, it just dismissed any awkwardness that might have been brought on his behave. Oddly enough the unexpected happened Silas Fuerst walked in, which made Moki's eyes widened. Out of all of the students at Airdalen High, he didn't expect Silas, THE Silas Fuerst to walk in the room. Ever since Moki saw Silas in his earlier years, Moki had always had a crush on him. The problem was, he never had the courage to speak up on it. He knew, first hand, the dangers of THAT boy, the one who consumed many hearts of Moki's friends. The flirt.

Moki bowed his head, hoping that he wouldn't be seen by the boy. It worked out perfectly, yet, Moki seemed to be invisible by almost everyone who walked in. Little did he care, this was his last year of high school, and he didn't want to go by unnoticed."Hey there, kid." Moki heard from beside him, looking over to the left of him there was a tall student who looked more like a man than anything. The 6'4", 260 pound man-child, put his big beefy arm on the backrest of Moki's chair, as he plopped down beside Moki. His name was Ri, at least that's what he was known as amongst the Gymnastics team, being the biggest member on the team, as well as Moki's so-called 'best friend'. Ri curled his hand around Moki's shoulder, and with his free hand scratched though his buzzed cut hair. Moki pulled his hood over his head in embarrassment."Stop Ri! You're going to attract attention to us!" Moki whispered with hostility in his meek voice.

"C'mon, what's the harm in a little hug action?" Ri pulled Moki closer to him, moving the entire chair. Unlike Moki, Ri was embarrassed by his leotard, and only wore it when he absolutely had too, he usually wore the school uniform like most people."Been there, done that with you," Moki said pushing Ri's arm off of him, and removing his lollipop from his mouth,"We've both moved on from that, remember? Besides, aren't you STRAIGHT now, Hm?" Moki said teasingly, taking the hood off his head, staring up at Ri, getting in his face. Ri only laughed, scratching the dark stubbly hairs on his chin looking up at the ceiling."The term is bi-sexual, Kiki. I like the best of both worlds," Ri said in response with a big smile on his face,"besides, after that one night, how can we just leave things unsaid like it never happened?"

"First off, don't call me Kiki. Anyone who has EVER called me that came up missing in three days notice. And second, what are you even doing here? I didn't know you signed up for this." But before Ri could answer, a voice came from the stage. It was the voice of Mr. Swato, an English teacher. He asked if the seniors would make their way to the front of the stage. Moki and Ri seemed to have got up at the same time and found themselves standing side by side, being total opposites. Here you have Moki this short, long haired, feminine boy, and Ri, this tall, masculine, short-haired guy with facial hair. Mr. Swato handed Moki a piece of paper with someone's name on it."Kairen Saito?" Moki said softly to himself, he was happy that he had gotten a girl. Some guys were jerks, and he didn't want to end up with one of those. Though out of nowhere, a hand grabbed the paper from Moki's hand.

"Hey lets switch. I hear my guy is a total creep, and you have a girl. You like guys right? Maybe you can help him with his hormonal issues and stuff." Ri said looking at Kairen's name and her picture. Moki just snatched the piece of paper back and put it in his hoodie pocket,"No way, loser, I'm not going to put an innocent girl in your hands, that's homicide." Ri sighed, and begun to whine about something, but Moki wasn't paying attention, he looked around the room for the girl as everyone begun to couple off. He put his lollipop back in his mouth and he was on the move. Eventually over the course of seconds, he had found her. With a big smile on his face he approached her, taking the lollipop out of his mouth again."Hello," Moki said in a cheerful voice," Are you Kairen Saito? I'm Moki Ken, and I'm your senior."
