"So reality begins again, how wonderful..."

As to be expected, Mr. Drone was a bit distracted from the makeshift torpedo. The side effect, the monstrosity of the man was enraged by the action. They needed to leave now. Grabbing hold of his axe, Aeon saw the other male (Kei) closing the door as if to provide a means of protection. However, they all knew that it would not be enough to stop that creature from smashing it into bits. He heard him (Kei) shouting to run and that was accompanied by the door being destroyed and sending the other senior (Kei) to the wall without much of a hassle.

Aeon glanced briefly towards the window where the others were using as a means of escape. They were almost out of here. Time is needed and that would mean another means of a distraction. This is why it is troublesome to be around people for him. The leg pole which the girl (Akira) was holding was now in his hand. He looked towards the red-head boy (Jonathan). “Take care of her and go.” He stated while pointing at the other girl (Akira) who was still there. After saying that, he advanced towards the malevolent form of Mr. Drone. He then used the leg pole as spear and jabbed it to the creature’s arm and leaving it there.

This definitely took Mr. Drone’s attention completely as it roared with such great ferocity. Aeon narrowed his eyes and knew that whatever was about to happen would be very painful for him. But, he has to go to where the other senior (Kei) is and to get that man to safety. Why? He did say earlier they were going to leave together. This is truly cumbersome for him but, what is done is done. Mr. Drone swung his arm towards Aeon who docked at the last minute and then rolled towards the unconscious male (Kei). The male (Kei) was undoubtedly hurt from the impact but still breathing. In the end, this guy (Kei) needs medical treatment now.

Grabbing the unconscious male (Kei), Aeon dodged another attack at the last second from Mr. Drone who rushed towards them like a high-strung bull. The wall which the monster hit was reduced into a pile of debris. It is good that they were able to avoid that. In any case, he has to move now for it seemed that Mr. Drone is stuck at the destroyed wall. Well, he was not much of an intelligent being even before. Draping the male (Kei) over his shoulder, he went towards the window and handed the senior (Kei) to the others. “Handle him.” After ensuring a safe transition, he faced Mr. Drone once more who was angrier now. In addition, the target was him without hesitation. How lucky he was right now.

Mr. Drone once more ran towards him as Aeon run away from the windows leading the creature away from the others. He exited the room and Mr. Drone followed without difficulty. Holding the axe in his hand tightly, he was now running towards a horde of dead students. It seemed nothing was going his way. Well, there was no use complaining now. He slashed his way through the zombies while Mr. Drone did help by wrecking through the others behind him. However, it seemed there was no end to them and he was but human. He could feel the exhaustion finally catching up to him. The adrenaline which aided him was now disappearing within his system.

Soon enough, Aeon reached the kitchen of the cafeteria as he tried to escape the onslaught of the undead upon him. However, everything has an end. He was cornered as Mr. Drone was finally able to reach him. He leaned on one of the stoves. Actually, it was getting hard to breath. Why? Well, he had managed to turn all of the gas from the available stoves. Furthermore, he was bleeding all over. He has some bite wounds on his arms, shoulders, and legs. He even lost the axe along the trail. Mr. Drone was about to crush him with those monstrous hands. “I am sorry...” With that said, he lit the matchstick which he found as it ignited the entire kitchen into flames engulfing him, Mr. Drone, and the others in a sea of fire.

The explosion rattled the entire school grounds as the smoke and flames could be seen scorching through the sky.

It seemed that something heavy was pressing on top of him. Aeon was not sure. He remembered there were an explosion and the feeling of searing pain. Yet, it was not there anymore. He opened his eyes as those deep violet eyes of his saw a familiar face hovering before him. Those crimson eyes looked at him with disbelief, then relief, and lastly extreme happiness. “Aeon? Aeon... Aeon!”
It would seem that the person he had been looking was now right before his eyes. Cassiopeia embraced him with such great attachment. What was going on? He glanced around him and noticed that the desolate landscape of the school had returned to normalcy even the student body that was looking at them with such embarrassed looks were now comprised of living people.

Furthermore, it seemed that he was at the hallway. The last location where he remembered being in before losing consciousness and waking up to that demented reality. Perhaps, that was a dream. How strange. If that was so, his arms found its way around Cassiopeia who was still clinging to him with such urgency. He managed to sit up with her still embracing him. The girl seemed very relieved of something and the same could be said about him. Although, he did not let it show with his indifferent façade. The looks and the audience they were having right now was not his concern. “I am here.” That is all he said as he stroked her silver white tresses to comfort the girl who had taken the title as his fiancée. Right now, she needed his presence and if that is something he could provide that. He would do so.

Image Akira was taken aback when Aeon spoke. She remembered his name thanks to Cassiopeia introducing him and herself to her prior to the mess. The tall male had never spoke much until now. On the bus was the first time she noticed him, and she hadn't heard a word come from his mouth even when she was conversing with Cassiopeia. Though right now he was speaking at normal rate. She watched him get Keiko to safety, smiling a bit. At least he isn't abandoning her. She seems to be attached to him somewhat.. Though she wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon. She was worried about Kei and Jonathan.. not to mention Silas..whom she still hadn't seen. She gripped the leg pole as she got even more worried, but heer eyes widened as she felt it move in her hands. What the..? She looked up only to see Aeon, jumping out of her skin a bit. I-I zoned out.. She thought to herself, shaking her head in attempt to collect herself, "B-but.." She stammered, unable to explain she was waiting to find her best friend, unable to explain her crush was still somewhere out there.. Dead or alive she had to know. He was always there, regardless of her flaws. How could she abandon him now?

Then she froze, he (Aeon) told her red haired companion (Jonathan) to get her out of here? What the hell?! I'm a senior too.. Just cause I'm a girl doesn't mean I need protected by you guys! She was growing flustered, face red in irritation and embarrassment. Though she fled as soon as she realized everything was going to hell. She fled through the window, but promised herself she'd find a way back inside.. That she'd look for Silas. Though she felt herself waking up before that happened.

--- End Dream ---

Akira gasped, falling out of her seat as she awoke. She now sat in the floor of her classroom, witnessing several students waking, some still sleeping.. or whatever just happened. It was weird.. Though she noticed one student in particular, Kei. She walked over once she'd composed herself, rubbing the back of her neck, "Hey.. it's probably time we talked about yesterday... I've got work soon.. but can we walk together and talk about this...?" She asked giving a smile. If anything, the dream reminded her how quickly someone could be snatched away. Life was like a balloon waiting to pop. She didn't want the fight and events at the drunk party to be the last thing she said to Kei. She wasn't sure if they could ever be friends again, especially due to his growing interest in Devone, but she at least wanted to apologize, bring a little clarity to the situation.

"I realize I've been overreacting a lot this year, and I promise I'll have a handle on it soon.. I just want to explain everything and apologize properly." She replied nervously, "I might not get another chance for awhile.. I've got a lot of stuff to do for Ms. Roselle to make up for pretending to be a boy.. and I work.. So I hope you're free." Her tone was awkward and nervous, and her eyes hadn't met his since she first approached. I've got to get in control of this or everyone is going to hate me...

She gripped her bag on her shoulder, awaiting the taller senior's response. At least this way, she could say she tried to mend her mistakes. Plus she wanted out of the building as soon as possible. The dead bodies, the inhuman groaning, the fights.. It all felt too real. She was definitely done with zombie movies. She felt jumpy as hell. Well there goes my pride.. I'll jump like the girliest of girls at the next zombie flick I watch..

"Is this what they call new beginnings?"

Ooooh
I shouldn't have fallen in love with her
It’s been nothing but trouble till now
I shouldn't have fallen in love at all
But I couldn't stop myself
(I gotta let her go)
Who gives you the right
To tear up my life?
How dare she be so perfect
What did I do to deserve this? (woooh)
(I gotta let her go)
How dare she be so perfect

With a beep, the music stopped playing. The ear-buds were removed and a silhouette entered the gates of Airdalen High. It was of a statuesque male wearing an overflowing black coat. Coal black hair gently swayed by the breeze. Eyes were hidden behind those sleek black-tinted sunglasses. Overall, he looked like a model who stepped out of a rock star-themed magazine. A guard inquired about his purpose and he answered with a lackadaisical tone. "To finalize my transfer documents and to get my schedule." The guard looked at the much taller male in question and in curiosity. This person was young but, would fit more as a college student because of his height, the way he carries himself, and even the unique earpiece he has. So, the name was inquired. With it, the guard could check in the database the authenticity of his claim. "Ryou Giou." The name checked out and the seemingly new student was handed a temporary ID to enter the premises without much of a hassle.

Ryou entered and went to the area which the guard told him to go to. This was actually his first time coming here. His Aunt handled the first part of his enrolment here. Now, it was his turn to finish up. The school itself was nothing extraordinary in his opinion, but he was only looking at the school from the outside. Anyway, he soon arrived at the registration office where the personnel were swooning over him. He was oblivious about it and simply processed his papers. One of the staff asked his reason for transferring. It made him pause and removed his sunglasses which revealed his silver grey eyes. That action of his made a lot of hearts fall literally but, he had no idea. "Personal matter, is there a problem?" His tone was edged with a degree of annoyance. The topic was not something he liked to discuss so; it ended there when the staff shook her head.

Once everything was finished, Ryou left the office and decided to go home. He had nothing else to do here and officially he will start his classes on Monday next week. He looked at his student ID. He will be a Senior in his attendance here. He was also informed that he will be entered into a program where he will have a Junior who will be his partner, much like an apprenticeship thing. Well, he has no issues about it as long as it doesn't hog all of his time. He had a lot of things he needed to do. He didn't go into the details of it and decided to just go with the flow when it happens. He looked at his watch. It was about time for him to go to his part-time job. After that, he would need to visit someone important to him as well.

He passed by the guard and handed the temporary ID he was given earlier. The guard nodded. He then left the premises by hailing a cab. His Uncle told him not to use his personal vehile while attending Airdalen. Well, he doesn't understand the reason, but he would do so. It was not that big of a deal anyway. As the cab stopped before him, his phone rang. He answered it. The voice on the other line was his little brother. Hikaru, what's up? Yes... I'm done." He listened as he entered the cab and once inside, he covered the mouthpiece. "Eden Drive." The driver nodded, knowing the place and went off as Ryou continued his small talk with Hikaru. He was unaware how much his life will change once he begins to attend Airdalen High School. Totally Unaware.

Bishop Trander

Bishop's eyes widened as suddenly several people seemed to be jumping out of a window and onto the ground below. Looking at them through a crowd of zombies was a bit difficult but he could've sworn that he recognized some of the shouting voices from the distance. "Oh crap! Guys, I think that's them... Something's wrong." He stood up leanign out from behind the wall more to try and get a better view. <Crap! This is not good, they're going to be trapped between a horde of zombies at this rate... We have to do something.> He looked back to his friend Silas and the other junior Natsu worry written across his face. "Guys... I don't think that are reunion is going to happen. He looked around trying to think of something since they seemed to have to put him in charge for this hellish nightmare. He looked out to the fields right next to them, across was a fence they could climb with moderate ease. Well, at least his group seeing as they all seemed to be athletic in some department. "We gotta go guys... You two take Varthur up over that fence and wait for me. If I can lure this horde away from that group, maybe they can break through..."

He turned to see what appeared to be Silas and Natsu hesitate. "Just go!" When they ran off, he would go with them except part to the right shouting and making as much noise as he could. Bishop slammed his staff against a metal pipe watching as the dead turned their heads, and grotesque eyes in his direction. "Hey hey!! That's right, over here! 100% U.S. prime rib, come on!" There was something disturbing about calling himself a dish, with the fact that it could very well happen. He backed up seeing a huge number of undead swarm in his direction. "Heh... I wonder if they'll be upset if they find out I'm not pure American..." Bishop turned to run towards the fence ducking and dashing around zombies having too may close calls. He was beginning to realize that he was more fatigued than he thought, or would have liked to believe. As he ran, he got slower and the zombies seemed to get faster. Bishop's eyes widened as felt hands pull on the back of his shirt just as he started to climb the fence. "No no no!" He looked back seeing several trying to pull Bishop down.

To his worst nightmares, despite how hard he fought and seemed to gain ground the fence felt like it was just getting taller and taller. Until Bishop's strength waned and he fell back, feeling dozens of hands grab his body beginning to pull his body in every direction. He didn't scream, but let out a loud cry as he fell to his death into a bed of strong hands and human jaws.
(end Dream)
______________________________________________________________________

Bishop woke with a gasp and scrambled to a sitting position. His body jerked and squirmed until he was up against a locker in the hallway holding his arms close to his body. His chest rose and fell as he practically hyperventilated looking around with wide eyes like a terrified rabbit. Bishop looked back and forth in the hallway seeing everything was empty... Just how his dream was. He was still terrified as ever until the final bell rang and the doors to classrooms opened up, revealing.... Normal healthy students. Bishop looked around as children walked past giving him weird and suspicious looks, avoiding the small pool of blood that was on the floor. Bishop realized that there was a strong yet dull pain on his forehead and he reached up to touch the spot only being greeted withe a stinging sensation and dry crusty blood falling off. "I fell?..." He slowly stood up and placed a hand on the side of his blonde head, placing a hand on the wall for stability.

Bishop looked down reflecting on everything that seemed to have happened. <Was it a dream? Or am I just really dead and this is... Hell? My hell would be never ending school. No, summer school... I hate summer school more.> Bishop managed to pull himself together enough and walked back to his homeroom to gather his book bag and left. As he began to notice more and more, the teacher wasn't there he was on his own. Bishop decided to stop by the nurse's office to get his head looked at.

Bishop walked out of the nurse's office with a blush across his cheeks and a bandage on his head. He approached the exit ot the school seeing another blonde haired boy he'd never seen before (Daniel). This peeked his interest, and as he got closer he heard the boy speaking English with an older gentlemen.... A teacher? Counselor? They both had American accents so that was reason enough for him to try and talk to them, switching over to English easily. "Uh, excuse me? You're American right?". He waited for the boy's reply (Daniel's). "Where are you from?"

ImageArietta was sleeping in the car when it came to a complete stop. Her grandmother shook her, "Dear, you've got to get your schedule today." She laughed cheerfully, "You can't sleep all day Ari-chan." Mrs. Hakushiro told her granddaughter. Arietta's blue eyes fluttered open and she sat up. Rubbing her eyes the blonde laughed as well. She didn't realize she even fell asleep. A new start huh..? She thought to herself enthusiastically. Well.. bright side no one knows me here.. She ran a hand through her hair, eyes lowering as she felt the absence of her pendant, "Arigatou Baachan." She giggled before getting out of the car, closing the door quietly behind her, "I can walk home. I've got my cellphone." She reassured her, wishing to get fresh air. It hadn't been too long since the incident, and moving to a new school didn't change the fact it happened.

She kept her pace slow as she approached Airdalen high school, eyes wandering loosely over it. Sugoi.. it's beautiful.. She thought in amazement. As she approached the building she noticed it was still full of students. Strange.. school has been let out for a while now hasn't it? She shook off her nerves before opening the front doors, strutting through the halls confidently, albeit faking the entire show. She felt uneasy about starting at this new school. It was risky switching schools in high school, what if she fell to the bottom of the social pool? She dismissed her uncertainty for now, heading to the principal's office to get her school schedule. Once inside her mood changed toward the secretary, "Hakushiro Arietta... I'm a new junior and I wa- I'm here to pick up my schedule." Her voice changed compared to how she spoke to her Grandmother, she practically preformed a 180 flip on her personality. Mid-sentence she became cold, eyes staring at the secretary in a demanding manner. This is my bad habit... She thought to herself, smirking when the woman handed her schedule to her, "Finally." She scoffed, turning to leave. I'm rude to people by accident.. and I lie about things that don't really matter.. but somehow all my lies matter to me..

Arietta's eyes landed on someone she truly didn't intend to see, "R-Raiden?!", In the same room stood a very familiar brunet boy (Raiden). Why is he here..? She thought wide eyed and stupefied. She stared for a moment, noticing the small girl beside him. She didn't recognize her, but she knew Raiden would recognize her. They knew each other. Though she couldn't believe they'd switched to the same school. What were the chances of this? Why does stuff like this happen to me? This is an absolute disaster! She thought, frozen in place by shock. There seemed to be a moment going on between the two (Raiden and Mai), so she couldn't help but assume they were involved or something. He has a girlfriend?

She waited for him to say something, baffled by his presence, "What are you doing here?!" it wasn't glee in her voice, but surprise was evident. She was more shocked and angry if one had to define her tone. She even pinched her wrist behind her back, just to make sure it wasn't just some bad dream.

I can't believe this is happening to me. School sucks.

"Well then sir, I just received a message stating that your mother has went out. No specifications however." Caleb said, scrolling on his phone.

"All the better, maybe we should go out and have a bite to eat? That is, if you know any restaurants in the area worth going to." Caleb took a few seconds to think before tapping at his phone.

"You really do depend on that thing a lot, don't you?" Daniel joked

"No, of course not. It just comes in handy, that's all..." Caleb continued to tap at his phone in exasperation. "There is almost no signal here, this is taking a while."

"What if you had no signal at all? You know what the outcome would be? I'd have to starve, you know who starves? People with no money starve. Sooner or later, I'm going to have to suffer because you relied too heavily on a slab of plastic. You really need to find a more reliable alternative."

"No...wait, it's loading..."

"You really are too young for this, aren't you? Taking interest in the latest smart phone's and such. Maybe we should have acquired someone a bit more mature?"

"Alright, alright, it's loaded. Aperantly there is a delectable sushi restaurant not 8 kilometers from here. It has a five star rating." Daniel cocked his head slightly.

"How many miles would that be?" But before Caleb had a chance to answer, the two were interrupted.

"Uh, excuse me? You're American right?" Daniel turned to see a boy, about the same age he presumed.(Bishop) The boy had blonde hair, much like himself, and his face seemed a tad bit familiar. Still the two sort of stood there, a bit surprised from hearing English from someone other then themselves.

"Where are you from?" his peer persisted. Caleb rummaged inside the pocket of his slacks, and found a picture. He quickly flashed the picture to Daniel, and to his surprise, it looked just like the person in front of him.

"He's the relative that your mother has been speaking about." Caleb whispered. Realization dawned on Daniel.

"Oh, hello Bishop. I'm Daniel Trist, I must express that I am ever so pleased to finally make you acquaintance." Daniel held out his hand for his cousin to shake. "My mother has told me all about you. Would you like to go someplace to eat?"

"I need to find her." Keiko’s grip on Aeon’s arm loosened as a realisation registered in her brain. She had been doing backflips on what her senior Aeon was like, if he really was alone like she was or just had a cold personality. Now, she finally knew. Aeon is not alone. He has someone.. As the chaos unravelled with Mr Drone’s sudden appearance as a morphed monster leaving Keiko paralysed on the spot in fear, she couldn’t help but think, So if I were to die, nobody would cry for Keiko.. would they? Keiko.. has nobody. No family.. no friends.. no memories to see her life flash before her eyes. Nothing.. just.. static—"Misao." Keiko’s eyes blinked being brought back to reality and swiftly turned their attention to Aeon again. Even the impersonal way he referred to her, was a reminder of how distant she really was from everyone present. What surprised her was how he softly held her hand and clasped it. It just didn’t make sense to Keiko. Why would Aeon..? She glanced down at the gesture that linked them, mildly distracted by questioning thoughts as Aeon continued to reassure her. "You're safe." Her hazel eyes started to fill with water just as her senior lifted her up causing her to gasp in shock. She had been picked up before too by Kei after breaking down. In fact, perhaps she had been just the –freak out- one in this apocalypse but being picked up by Aeon was much stranger. Kei had a warm personality that was easy to trust and open up to while Aeon was the opposite in that regard. He was cold and hard to understand, not leaving his emotions open for interpretation. "Take her." “Take me?!” Keiko had dropped back to her feet, with a hand to her chest still trying to process what was going on.

Another hand had clasped around hers and she couldn’t help but get lost in the dangerous moment. She had been protected, carried by and held hands with a few different guys in such a short amount of time. It’s like being in the movies!!!! Keiko’s eyes went starry eyed and she swayed side to side in her excitement at the idea. It wasn’t because ‘they were guys’ or that she was ‘hopelessly romantic’. She just always had some kind of desire to be living like a movie or tv show series or really, anything on tv. Keiko had this perception that such a life was better than her boring one. Although, she had never watched a zombie flick before or at least, not long enough to know how many people die in them. "Stay together." Keiko shook her head, forcing herself out of her daydreams to realise she was holding onto Kaoru’s hand which made her smile. He was a very small boy and if not for the fact he was a student at their school, she would have mistaken him for a grade schooler. Even though, he was much braver than she had been. She admired that. "If we stick together we'll make it, I promise.." Keiko reached out and patted his head with her free hand after hearing his promise. It was just something she felt like doing on the spot. She no longer felt afraid of what was to come, or how uncertain it was…

--End Dream—

Keiko’s body felt uncomfortably positioned and she was seeing pitch black. The last thing she could remember was patting Kaoru’s head.. so where was she now? She opened her eyes slowly, the school grounds in front of her a blur but still somewhat recognisable. Her stomach growled loudly as she arched her back and both her hands came on top of it as if to suffocate or drown out the noise it was making. “So.. Keiko was only dreaming?” She blinked several times unsure of how to feel about her dream. On one hand, she was happy there weren’t any monsters in sight and that nobody had died or been ripped apart. On the other hand, she was sad that she hadn’t gotten any closer to her peers. “Food will make Keiko feel better!” She said to herself with a fist pump to the air before picking up her hand bag and easing it onto her shoulder. She started walking towards the school gates before unconsciously eavesdropping on a conversation occurring between two students. “Would you like to go someplace to eat?" Keiko’s head turned rapidly to the two students (Daniel and Bishop) as she ran to them in a sudden dash, stopping right before a possible crash and tidying her hair. “Hi hi, Keiko heard something about food?” She head tilted innocently with closed eyes then realising, she recognised one of them. “Oh…” She poked her bottom lip before pointing at him (Bishop). “Bishie. You are?” She had gravely mistaken his name with her poor memory.

Bishop Trander

"Oh, hello Bishop. I'm Daniel Trist, I must express that I am ever so pleased to finally make you acquaintance." "Eh~?" Bishop's expression was shocked as the other blonde American (Daniel) outright spoke his name as if he knew the boy. <What the hell?> Bishop was on the defensive at first seeing Daniel extend his hand forward. He was totally confused. Mostly because he had no idea who this person was (Daniel). "My mother has told me all about you. Would you like to go someplace to eat?" "Y-Your mom? What?" opposite to Daniel his parents had failed to tell him anything about any possible relatives, it honestly slipped his mother's mind with all of her antics. Bishop somewhat reluctantly reached his hand forward to shake Daniel's. He was curious to why the other student was so formal. Looking him over he was dressed quite well, a lot of students were actually because of the school uniforms. But from his experience so far dealing with other people, he had the air of a prince about him. There were a few other he knew that had a similar behavior as well as mannerisms. Devone being one of them.

"Food sounds good.. Sure." Bishop drew his hand back to scratch the back of his head closing his eyes. “Hi hi, Keiko heard something about food?” "Hm? He turned to see the curious girl he met earlier, Keiko. He smiled happy to see her, in the back of his mind he noted to himself that she wasn't in his dream. “Oh… Bishie. You are?” Bishop blushed a noticeable amount when she pouted up to him. <Gee, she got my name wrong. No big deal.> Bishop sweat dropped rubbing the back of his head again as he easily swapped to Japanes. "Ahh, yeah. It's me Bishop. Good to see you Keiko." He turned to Daniel wondering if the boy spoke any Japanese at all. He was getting the idea that he didn't. "Uhhh, this is a friend of mine. Keiko." He gestured to the shorter junior next to him (Keiko). "Keiko, this is another friend of mine... Daniel." The last part of his sentence was questioning, after that his cousin Daniel just introduced himself and claimed to know him. "she asked if she could get some food with us. Would you mind if she came? Keiko is good company." He watched Daniel while casting a glance to Keiko his kind smile never fading for a moment.

Raiden flicked his pocket knife about for a bit not wanting the blood from the zombie to dry up and stick to it otherwise, that would make it rusty, and in turn not as sharp or effective should he need to use it again. He didn’t know how to feel about the current circumstances apart from deep worry. “R-Raiden y-you okay?" "Raiden, are you alright?" Raiden looked forward to where his female companions were and gave a brief nod response. That was all he could manage before the ground started to quake underneath them. "We should go. Now." Cassie said urgently to which Raiden started to run behind the rest of them. “I second that!” He replied, trying to disguise his panic when he spoke. It all happened so fast. A building was crumbling right over them caused by a gigantic creature Raiden knew a pocket knife wouldn’t be enough to handle, Mai had nearly been crushed if not for Cassie’s sacrifice and he had lost complete sight of Momo.
Raiden gritted his teeth and rushed over to analyse the debris covering Cassie’s body for a way to help her out before she was completely crushed under it. “Y-you said *hic* th-that everythin-ing would be *hic* fine. Were-Were you *hic* lying *hic* to me? Wh-Why did you even push *hic* me aside. We only just met so why? *hic* Cassiopeia do-don’t die!” Raiden looked over at his cousin as she started to cry, as she was attempting to move the rubble with her small hands and although the situation was so dire, he was a bit happy that his cousin had made a friend. And she’s not going to lose her now.. Raiden rolled up his sleeves and started to pull his own weight in helping Cassie out. He knew he wasn’t exactly strong or fit but Raiden just knew they would make it in time, somehow. There was no way Mai’s new friend was going to die on them now so soon after they had just become acquainted. "I'm glad, you're safe..." Raiden almost froze in place as he heard the girl speak. It wasn’t what he expected to hear. Maybe a ‘help me!’ or ‘hurry!’ but the girl didn’t even seem to be concerned on her own well-being. Mai continued to call out her new friend’s name as Raiden picked up the pace at moving the rocks in the way understanding that every second counted. “You shouldn’t say things like that. You’re going to be safe too!” He kept yelling over the noise for two reasons, he really believed and meant what he was saying and he wanted Cassie to stay awake. Just as he had reached out for Cassie’s arm, he awoke.

Opening his eyes, Raiden lazily turned his head to where he felt his sleeve was being continually tugged. It was of no surprise that it turned out to be his dependent cousin, Mai. Instead of being annoyed though, he gave her a soft smile that the nightmare had only just been, a nightmare. “I’m up, I’m up.” He said before sitting upright in his chair to make sure he didn’t doze off again. It finally occurred to him that they were indeed in the school. That part hadn’t been a dream he concocted from his subconscious. But then did he imagine Momo and Cassiopeia up? He slowly stood up from his chair feeling groggy from the unexpected nap before looking behind him where Mai was. His cousin looked worried for some reason but he just shrugged it off as a ‘new kid, new neighbourhood’ ordeal. “Let’s go home.” He was ready to walk out of the room with his cousin in tow before somebody familiar called out his name, causing him to stop in his tracks completely.
”R-Raiden?!" “Auh—“ Raiden let out a small sound expressing surprise as his shoes suddenly felt glued to the ground. Oh holy shit.. He stayed still in position completely with his back facing her (Arietta), not exactly prepared to see her again after everything that had happened between them last time. "What are you doing here?!" Raiden’s eyes wandered to the side for a distraction then wandered to the other side for more distraction but his imagination wasn’t good enough for him to pretend he didn’t hear her or realise her presence at all. He couldn’t just pretend she wasn’t actually there for real could he? He surely tried to. “I—“ He turned around slightly, his left side facing the familiar girl as he cocked his head at a head tilt angle before looking away again, a hand playing with the tips of his hair while he tried to think up an excuse. No excuse was coming up so he lowered his head and looked away. “I’ll be attending here as a student from now.” If Raiden couldn’t come up with an excuse, then he would just state the truth. Turning his back on Arietta again, he pocketed his hands before taking another step away from her. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep out of your way. Let’s go Mai.” He said in the most monotone voice he could muster.
Despite Raiden not having a lot to say, his emotions were torn and conflicted. He was sure Arietta was really angry at him and even angrier to be bumping into him again. If he was being entirely honest with himself though, there was a fraction of him that was relieved. A fraction that thought maybe a part of their relationship could be remedied, clarified and maybe even salvaged. At the same time, the possibility of fixing things between them was slim to nil and he understood that her wishes were if any, for him to stay away. He closed his eyes briefly as he walked deep in thought, one hand’s fist clenching in his pocket as a tension was awakening in his chest that he didn’t want anyone to read. Everything happens for a reason. I just have to believe that..

“Attention everyone!” Raiden looked over his shoulder to find that the voice was coming from an intercom speaker. The female voice coughed before continuing. “Airdalen High would like to apologise for its most recent sleeping gas incident. After thorough investigation, we have discovered the school janitor Miss Morrison had released a homemade fragrance in the ventilation systems as a quick means of performing her duties as cleaning lady, as well as to serve her own means as she has always had a strong disgust towards body odours. Unknown to her, the fragrance also served a second function as a sleeping gas that has worked on a selection of students and staff alike. This specific concoction also possessed a trace of the smell of roses..” “It is unfortunate that one of our senior students has passed away on our grounds due to his severe allergic case.”
“Airdalen High does not tolerate pranks of any sort for any reason given. As a result, the school janitor has been fired and apprehended by the police. Due to this incident, after school clubs will also be cancelled for today. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Varthur Laurence..”

The other boy(Bishop) was seemed shocked at first of Daniel being able to identify him, but calmed down. "Food sounds good.. Sure." Bishop replied.

"Excellent!" Daniel's face brightened. He had always wanted to meet this cousin of his(Bishop). Suddenly a girl(Keiko), about his age also approached rapidly without warning. Caleb's hand instinctively shot inside of his inner jacket pocket and closed around his custom .40 caliber automatic pistol. It had optional 3 shot burst, metal jacket ammunition, and an extended clip. However, Caleb relaxed as the girl(Keiko) came to a stop not far from them.

“Hi hi, Keiko heard something about food?” "What is up with this girl..." Caleb thought. He could speak and understand Japanese almost as well as a native. After all, his father was Japanese. Bishop seemed to know the girl as they engaged in conversation. Daniel really couldn't understand much of what they were saying, but the girl(Keiko) seemed to speak...in a strange way.

"Uhhh, this is a friend of mine. Keiko." Bishop said gesturing towards the girl(Keiko).

"Ah, so I was correct! Bishop knows the girl."

"she asked if she could get some food with us." Bishop continued, "Would you mind if she came? Keiko is good company." Caleb stayed silent,

"It's time for Daniel to make his own decisions now. Obviously he'll say no, he doesn't even know the girl(Keiko). Not to mention, her manners seem quite...underdeveloped. She also seems to have some sort of mental disability of some sort...people like that, you never know what they'll do next." Caleb looked back down at his phone, waiting for Daniel's response.

"Of course she may come along!" Caleb dropped his phone and it hit the floor with a horrible cracking sound. Caleb couldn't believe what he'd just heard, Daniel shouldn't have invited the girl(Keiko) and the boy knew it.

"WHAT!" Caleb exclaimed in disbelief. Daniel in turn turned to face the older male and fixed him with an icy glare.

"I'm sure there aren't any objections." Caleb was dumbfounded.

"Surely sir, you jest!" This was the most irrational decision Caleb had ever seen Daniel make. This girl(Keiko) could be anyone, but yet he persists?

"Caleb," Daniel softened his expression. "I'm sure you are well educated on the fact of how important a first impression is. However you choose to degrade your own. Remember, you do not only represent yourself, but myself as well. Please do represent me well."

"Jesus, the boy really knows how to get his way, doesn't he?" Caleb reluctantly submitted. "Of course sir, my apologies."

"Now," Daniel faced the rest of the group. "shall we make our way? Please, allow me to offer my own automobile as means of transportation." With that, Daniel began to make his way to the parking lot, exiting the building. Caleb on the other hand, grudgingly picked up his now cracked phone off of the floor.

"I knew I should've gotten the insurance on this thing!" Caleb thought as he followed Daniel out.

Sera

What happened next seemed like a blur, everything bleeding together as panic raced through Sera. She watched as people began moving, being pushed towards the window and finding responsibility thrust upon her. Sera swallowed, the only thing she could be thankful for was the fact that nothing had happened to anyone in the group, that they seemed to be surviving and there was a chance that everyone else was okay, though she knew how unrealistic that belief was, how not everyone could be okay. However nothing seemed to stay constant that day, it all went to hell soon enough. Before Sera could process what was going on the beast was rushing into the room and Kei was being smashed, tossed aside like a ragdoll before the monstrous creature that had once been Mr. Drone. Sera’s mouth went dry and her eyes looked to Kei, he was a calming influence, his sureness and rather kind demeanor had made things seem alright even in the crazy situation they had all been in. Yet as he flew against the wall and didn’t get up things seemed a bit more hopeless and Sera couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by it. Even as the hulking zombie moved further into the room, even as it got closer and closer, she looked over as Kei was handed off to her and the others by the window, his breathing still there but it seemed shallow and weak. He seemed fragile and it took Sera a moment to realize Aeon had led the undead Mr. Drone away.

That feeling that had been scratching at Sera for the duration of this nightmare started feeling all the more real. She stood there, at the windows, feeling as alone as she had ever felt in her life, as if she was detached from people standing mere feet away from her. She couldn’t help but feel out of place, desire to be back home washing over her and she felt absolutely stuck, looking out the window into the world that resided outside their school. It wasn’t going to be any better, nothing was going to change by escaping this room. Kei was hurt, Aeon had run off with the giant monster on his tail, Momo, Bishop, Silas and the other students she had met were out there and Sera had no clue if they were alright. Here she was, people who didn’t really give a damn about her, in a situation that had no real possibility of ending well, and none of her loved ones were anywhere within reachable distance. Sera just felt hopeless and she found herself slinking down the wall, hands running through her hair and eyes shutting tight. She wasn’t sure what to do, what could be done, Sera just wanted it to all be a bad dream, a nightmare she could wake up from and forget. Yet would she ever forget? Even if it was a dream, even if her prayer was answered, she had already found out something about herself that made her heart sink. She was alone. Sure she had a friend in Momo, other people were nice, but being sent away from home, from her friends and family, it was crushing Sera and while she did her best to ignore it she felt desperately alone.

- - - - -

When Sera’s eyes opened she was no longer in the hellish nightmare she, instead she was sitting on the floor slumped against a desk. In her arms was little Momo, still sleeping and looking adorable in her arms, and yet she didn’t smile or find herself thinking how lucky she was to be waking up with a beautiful girl in her arms. No, Sera was drowned in her own bit of self-pity, the loneliness that had plagued her in whatever sick twisted world she had just been in hadn’t left. The dream had been so real it was not something she could shake off so easily and even as the warmth from Momo’s little body came to her attention she still felt rather distant, thoughts of back home swirling through her head. Sera sighed, slowly rising from the floor with Momo in her arms, taking the girl and sitting her back into her seat, patting her head gently before turning and grabbing her things. Sera didn’t feel like sticking around, not after that, she needed to decompress and get a hold on herself, return to reality where things weren’t as desperate as the realistic nightmare she had just woken from.

First though she pulled her phone out of her pocket, a small smirk playing at her lips as the screen reminded her of Devone. Her elevator partner, not that Devone did anything to make anybody feel welcome or did a damn friendly thing in her life. Sera just sighed, pushing Devone out of mind and checking her phone for texts or phone calls, something, anything from her friends or family back home. Yet there was nothing, in fact she hadn’t received a single call or text from anybody but her sister since she left and even that was a rarity and generally initiated by Sera. She felt abandoned almost, tossed into a strange country with unlimited funds but no support. Part of Sera was devastated now that the flood gates were open, she wanted to call and ask her friends and sister why they didn’t keep in touch, yell and throw things to get her frustration out, to reach out. Another part of her wanted to retreat, to put more distance and say ‘fuck it’ to go ahead and turn back into the girl that had brought her family grief, the irresponsible partier. ’Heh, like they would even know.’

A sigh escaped her lips as she thought about her friends back home, how it hadn’t even been that long since she was out enjoying time every night with them. Sera was the type of person who needed constant companionship, to be around people, she didn’t like large amounts of alone time if she could help it. “Some friends they are…” She muttered, looking over to Momo and thinking about how much she liked her little friend, her first real female friend. She was sweet and innocent, but did they really know each other? Sure they were friends but the school year had just started. Sera didn’t walk out though and instead she slumped back into her seat, sighing as she tried to think about what to do, she really didn’t want to go home to that damn empty apartment, but what could she do? She looked over to Momo and smiled gently, she had spoken so fondly of her mother. If it wasn’t for her sister Sera wouldn’t have been all that happy back home either, her parents loved her but they weren’t exactly close. “Guh…” She groaned running a hand through her hair and leaning back in the chair, she was just going to have to get used to it.

Perhaps she could just make a little extra effort to get to know some of the people, such as Bishop, she still felt bad for missing their initial surfing meeting. Even Akira, she was a bit intense, and perhaps it was just the nightmare influencing her, but Sera didn’t think she was a bad person, she was honest and up front and while they both seemed to have a thing for Silas she wasn’t opposed to having a rival of sorts, not that she actually had much of a chance against the long-time friend, she read manga, she knew how that always ended. She finally laughed, a weak laugh but a laugh none the less, at least that would be interesting. She just sat there, finding herself relaxing slowly, shifting back from that damned hell and into reality, which while not being the most comforting of places at the moment was a hell of lot better than a zombie apocalypse.

With everything in the last few minutes had passing by as a blur, Jonathan had effectively blanked out, losing track of what was happening around them and what was being said had been dulled by the roars from an enraged Mr. Drone.

The beast of a man, now zombified, was obviously angrier due to what Jonathan had launched at him, but the makeshift rocket served its purpose at buying the group a few precious minutes to get the hell out of dodge. All Jonathan knew was that this Takeda was seriously injured after being flung into a nearby wall, but the group were scrambling through the now opened windows.

To freedom, hopefully.

However, the group had seemed to ignore his suggestions of finding a way to the rooftops, the ragged students dashing as quickly as they could across the yard away from the school, however their sudden movements had attracted more zombies towards them. Jonathan had noticed a student (Bishop) a few couple of yards away from them calling out, trying to distract the incoming horde, but Jonathan realized that it was futile as more infected gained ground behind them.

They had to make it past the fence that stood before the students... now.

Scanning the surrounding area beyond the fence, searching for a particular building, Jonathan refused to give up hope just yet. But, no matter how hard he looked, the Tower was nowhere to be seen. Deep in his gut, the red-haired junior realized that something was wrong, that something was out of place regarding these recent events.

The zombies. Students that he had just recently met and have never seen before. CyberTech Tower not being in view whatsoever...

---

Jonathan bolted upright from where he was laying down, a slight panic settling in. Unfamiliar surroundings and with no recollection of how he got there- "Take it easy there. You took a nasty hit on the head, and another student brought you here to get fixed up. Your belongings were brought here as well." Recognizing that he had been taken to the school's infirmary, a male doctor standing next to the gurney that he was occupying for the time being, Jonathan noticed a feeling of déjà vu when the room had appeared identical as it was in his dream, despite never have been there once.

After spending a few minutes getting his relatively minor flesh wound checked out and brought up to speed as to what had happened, Jonathan was allowed to leave the infirmary and another awkward feeling of déjà vu settled in as a blonde haired student (Bishop) entering the office as Jonathan grabbed his personal belongings to leave - it was the same student that was in his dream. Shaking the feeling off, the redhead continued on his way... his thoughts interrupted by the intercom speaker, explaining about the recent events that had transpired.

Sleeping gas? Now that's a thought, the boy quietly said to himself as the speaker finished with the "...after school clubs being cancelled..." message. Pulling his phone out, Jonathan thumbed in the number for his residence, a female voice (almost) immediately answering the phone. "Fenix residence, this is Black speaking. How may I help you sir or ma'am?"

"Hey Mira, you-" Jonathan softly talked on the phone, speaking in English rather than the local japanese that the students had commonly communicated with.

"Oh, it's you. Do you need somebody to pick you up?" The voice had interrupted Jonathan, as if the woman on the other end was annoyed at him calling her by her first name. "That won't be necessary. There was a little accident at school, but it's nothing to be worried about-"

"Nothing to worry about? It was on the news about how your school's janitor made a sleeping agent and knocked out a good portion of the school. How is that nothing to worry about?" Again, her voice having that hint of annoyed caretaker tone to it. "You know, you really shouldn't be interrupting me when I'm speaking. Anyways, can you check out this... Miss Morrison... some more? I'm sure whatever she did to make that stuff could turn out to be a real gem," Jonathan replied in his usually playful tone before continuing, "Plus, I can walk back, it's not that far," He didn't wait for an answer from the woman as he ended the call, making his way past another blonde student (Daniel) towards the main office...

I wonder what's going to happen next. Awkward students, zombies, a janitor making sleeping gas, and now a student with blonde hair in two different places? Today has to be at least an eight on my weird-stuff-o-meter.

Mai

A relieved smile spread across her face. It almost seemed to light up her features and make her seem a bit more welcoming than she let off for others to believe. Mai’s bright eyes followed Raiden as he stood up but she herself stayed seated, all she could do from her position was look up. “Let’s go home.” Flashing her pearly whites at him, Mai simply nodded and slid of her seat. Well jumping down was more like it, even if her feet hung only an inch or less off the ground. Sometimes her small stature irritated Mai, sometimes she wished she were as tall and outgoing as her cousin but she knew how hard that would be for her.

Brushing off any dust that may have been collected on her bum while sitting there, Mai jumped upon hearing an odd sound escaped her cousin’s lips. In doing so she bumped into him and instinctively grabbed for some sort of reassurance that she wasn’t alone. Mai gently took hold of the bottom of Raiden’s shirt making sure not to grab too much so her action wouldn’t be considered bothersome. Looking up she searched her cousins face with curious eyes then realized someone (Arietta) was talking to him, at least she assumed so. Unless there was another person by the name of Raiden who was also waiting for their papers. She watched as his eyes wondered from one side to the other, Mai couldn’t help but tilt her head in sync before briefly glancing in the direction he was looking at.

Raiden turned to face this person but only enough so his eyes could see her. And so Mai did the same but it was a bit harder for her considering she was somewhat dwarfed by her cousins obviously larger frame. Placing a finger to her lips, she began to nibble on it while looking around Raiden. Who she saw was a girl no older than Raiden. Mai didn’t recognize her but she thought the girl was very pretty. Stepping a bit to the side so she wasn’t quite hiding behind him, Mai watched the two interact with one another. All the while wondering why Raiden was acting the way he was before this stranger.

“Don’t worry, I’ll keep out of your way. Let’s go Mai.” Still in thought, Mai barely managed to catch onto his last few words and scrambled to catch up to her cousins longer strides. As she passed by the girl she paused just long enough to bow briefly, “G-Good-b-ye Mi-iss.” her eyes wide with awkwardness, Mai grabbed the bottom of her shirt and quickly walked over to where Raiden was walking. A shy smile played at her lips as pride warmed her insides, I did it. I spoke to someone. However her happiness was short-lived the moment a female voice began speaking.

Tilting her head, Mai paused to listen to what the intercom lady said. As the lady finished speaking Mai’s happiness was replaced by sadness and what she guessed was pity. To think on my first day someone would die. Rubbing her eyes Mai walked quickly to make up the distance between her and Raiden. Once she reached his side, Mai looked down to the floor her finger back at her lips as she nibbled on it. Without realizing it she took hold of Raidens fingers, making sure to hold onto them lightly so as not to be a bother to her cousin.

ImageShe noticed the surprise in his voice, her anger lessening as she realized he was as clueless as she was. It seriously is just a coincidence that we chose the same exact school? She felt nervous, sad, scared, and angry all at the same time. She was panicking. She never imagined seeing him again, especially so soon.. He didn't answer either of her questions yet, but he wasn't moving to escape either. What was going on here? She couldn't help but glare at the small girl next to him, but she ceased her gaze almost as quickly as it happened. I don't know who she is... I can't get angry with her for no reason.. She repeated that thought in her head over and over, making sure that she wasn't rude to his guest. It isn't her fault. She probably doesn't even know.. She canceled that thought as well. This is a fresh start, don't ruin it for yourself... even though he might..

He finally spoke up, after looking just as nervous and terrified as she was, "I—" He spoke, causing her eyebrow to quirk as she awaited his defense, “I’ll be attending here as a student from now.” He finally informed her, causing her blue eyes to widen in shock. She gripped her schedule, chewing on her bottom lip, "Yeah.. me too..." She spoke softly in disbelief, shaking it off. Then she noticed that he was beginning to leave, “Don’t worry, I’ll keep out of your way. Let’s go Mai.” His voice was uncaring and distant, it still hurt, considering. She closed her eyes and let out a soft breath before calling out, "Raiden." She spoke first, hesitating only a second since he was fleeing, "I'm sorry it had to be this way. I'll stay out of your way as well." He voice was bleak and impassive, but she definitely meant it, whether he believed her or not. She watched him leave, smiling at the girl who was with him (Mai), though it wasn't exactly a happy smile, "Goodbye." she replied to the girl (Mai), not offering any further attention. She ran a hand through her blonde hair, shaking her head and returning to her cold exterior. I'm not going to let him ruin my junior year. She felt more determined and confident, aside from the underlying fear that Raiden would ruin her. She was escaping the events that took place at her last school, namely the reputation she received.

She was waiting for distance between them before leaving, counting to twenty in her head, but her thoughts were torn from her counting as the intercom rang through the halls.

“Attention everyone!” Raiden looked over his shoulder to find that the voice was coming from an intercom speaker. The female voice coughed before continuing. “Airdalen High would like to apologise for its most recent sleeping gas incident. After thorough investigation, we have discovered the school janitor Miss Morrison had released a homemade fragrance in the ventilation systems as a quick means of performing her duties as cleaning lady, as well as to serve her own means as she has always had a strong disgust towards body odors.

Someone died!? She turned to the secretary with disbelief, "If this sleeping gas thing happens again.. you'll be hearing from my Grandfather. I was promised a safe environment when I switched to Airdalen." She stated harshly before exiting, though she wasn't angry for her own safety.. She shook the thought, deciding she was merely sad for the boy who died, she didn't know him.. but no one deserved to die so soon. She opened the door to the office, paying zero attention to where she was going. That could really happen to any one of us.. It's unreal how fast a life can vanish. It's like blowing out a candle. I suppose I was lucky to be a late arrival.. not that I have allergies..

She was in mid thought while walking, something her grandfather informed her time and time again was a nasty habit she really needed to toss, she was always receiving injuries due to her inability to keep her attention on the real world. Her mind was in the clouds when she wasn't worrying about her grades or reputation. Though just as she was about to laugh at herself, she bumped straight into someone, and thanks to her fast paced strut, she fell straight backwards.

"H-hey! Who do you thi-" Then she noticed the boy, blinking surprised, "I suppose that was my fault, I'll be more careful next time." She didn't offer an apology, but she did at least own up to her error, "I'm Arietta Hakushiro. What's your name boy?" She asked the red head (Jonathan), considering she didn't have friends yet, this seemed like a decent place to start. Please don't be a computer geek.. I need positive points on the social ladder, zero is bad enough, I don't need to descend into the negatives. She thought, one hand on her hip, the other holding her new schedule. She was still chewing on her lip, still upset due to her previous encounter, but was keeping the best tough face she could manage. She was doing her absolute best to keep her lip from trembling and her attention on the boy in front of her

Kei

The longer Kei sat in his seat the more he thought about that dream and what had happened. It hadn’t exactly felt like a dream, in fact it felt quite real, the pain and emotion had all been incredibly realistic and he even reached down to feel his ribs. Nothing was wrong though, there were no marks of any sort and as he looked up at the clock it was obvious that he hadn’t even been asleep that long. Not that Kei doubted it was a dream, the idea of zombies being real was insane, not to mention he just didn’t want it to be real. The idea of all those people dead, even if he hadn’t seen a friend dead. Yet it had felt real and all of that washed over him, especially the people he had seen inside the dream. So when he heard a familiar voice and turned to see Akira standing in front of him, rubbing the back of her neck and seeming a bit nervous. "Hey.. it's probably time we talked about yesterday... I've got work soon.. but can we walk together and talk about this...?" At first Kei was nervous about what was coming his way, about what he had done to Akira and how she had a right to be angry. The whole situation had been so absurd, people had become angry for no reason, emotions had run high, and Kei had ended up snapping at someone he really liked and never should have spoken to in such a way.

As if his regret wasn’t already enough Kei thought about that damn dream and the realism touched on what happened between himself and Akira as well. In the dream that dispute between them, Kei’s inappropriate outburst, didn’t matter and they had been more like previously. In fact that had been better than previously because Kei wasn’t hiding in the corner any longer and they hadn’t been angry, and if Akira still had been the situation had taken precedence. "I realize I've been overreacting a lot this year, and I promise I'll have a handle on it soon.. I just want to explain everything and apologize properly." She wasn’t the only one, Kei had overreacted himself, even Momo had overreacted in her own right with Silas about Kei’s shoulder, apologizing and clearing things up was the right decision, on both of their parts and she wouldn’t be the only one apologizing. "I might not get another chance for awhile.. I've got a lot of stuff to do for Ms. Roselle to make up for pretending to be a boy.. and I work.. So I hope you're free." Kei chuckled slightly, not making fun of Akira but finding it rather hilarious that people actually believed Akira was a boy. It was probably just because Kei had always been paying attention to her but she had always been a cute girl in his mind. Not to mention he still found the idea of her dressing in a certain way getting her into trouble ridiculous, though Kei found a good deal of this fancy school rather odd.

That wasn’t the point though, the point was Akira wanted to talk and it gave Kei some hope and he quickly nodded. “Of course, I think we should talk as well.” He stood from his desk, grabbing his stuff and tossing it over his shoulder. He needed to grab a few things from the store before heading home anyways, and even if he had nothing to do he wanted to talk with Akira, to make sure they were on speaking terms at the very least, even if he had lost all chances to actually becoming friends with his momentary lapse in judgment. He made sure that he had everything before looking back to Akira with a small smile of his own. “I have some things I need to apologize for as well, so let’s walk and we can get all of this off out chests.” Kei gave one more nod and then motioned towards the door, “After you Akira.” Kei wasn’t exactly sure what the conversation would yield but he was glad they were going to be talking and he couldn’t help but feel happy underneath it all to be walking with her at all. Now it was just up to him, to make sure Akira understood how sorry he was and listen to what she wanted to say, because while all of that craziness had happened on the trip it didn’t change Kei’s opinion of her, even if it was all a bit hectic and surprising.

“Airdalen High does not tolerate pranks of any sort for any reason given. As a result, the school janitor has been fired and apprehended by the police. Due to this incident, after school clubs will also be cancelled for today. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Varthur Laurence..” Kei’s eyes widened as a message aired and ended, everything coming to a halt as his face turned, eyes looking towards the intercom as he found himself confused, not truly giving a damn about the so called ‘prank’ but about the last sentence, what the intercom voice made seem so unimportant. Varthur was gone? While Kei didn’t know the man well he sure as hell had seen him around enough and during the past few days to be more than a little concerned, especially with the way it was said. Was he dead? Could that really be what was going on and if so why in the fuck would they all be informed in such a careless way? Kei looked over to Akira with shock on his features, “What the hell… That’s some sort of joke don’t you think? There is no way this is the way they would tell us such serious news right? Not a single sentence over an intercom.”

Akira was just as nervous, honestly she regretting approaching him altogether, but she knew it was necessary to return back to a healthy school environment. I really got to stop digging myself a grave, this apology stuff is more hard work than I'd like to deal with.. it's just plain uncomfortable. She wasn't used to this stage of communication, mostly because Akira didn't really have friends at her last school back in Britain so she wasn't sure how to go about apologies. She began playing with the edges of her short hair, well, short for a girl. She shuffled around, thinking back on the dream. She embraced Kei like nothing had happened, she wasn't sure why, but she was starting to feel a little awkward now. Not to mention that they were back to reality, Devone was her tormentor again, and Kei was becoming best buds with her. Regardless of her feelings for the friendship between the two of them, she still owed him an apology, even if after this conversation they found friendship impossible, she had to make things right again. They couldn't avoid each other all senior year, and honestly hating him was exhausting. She had been lost in thought waiting on his opinion, but sprung to life as she heard his voice, chocolate eyes returning to Kei.

“Of course, I think we should talk as well.” Kei responded and rose from his seat, Akira couldn't hold back the urge to smile, a grin appearing on her face when he mentioned that he agreed that they should talk. Well at least he agreed to accompany her, she couldn't care less as to why he chose to. She already had her things over her shoulder, adjusting the position of her school bag's strap on her shoulder. She was ready to escape, still shaken from the events of this week. A weekend seemed like the peace she needed. Relaxation and reflection, Akira planned to indulge in both and returned a changed girl the next week. Plus she'd begin her servitude to Ms. Roselle. More like slavery.. She thought to herself as it crossed her mind, “I have some things I need to apologize for as well, so let’s walk and we can get all of this off out chests.” Akira blinked a little, having spaced out again, thankfully Kei didn't talk enough for her to miss his side of the conversation, "A-alright." She replied, laughing a bit nervously. She wasn't sure about this conversation, it meant bearing all and explaining her actions on the bus.. She'd have to explain her feelings for Silas. That wasn't going to be pleasant. She didn't even realize Kei's feelings for her. She was completely in the dark, "We all were a bit strange this week.." She responded, not wanting Kei to take a lot of the blame. He didn't do as much as everyone else. He was more like the cherry on top if Akira's problems were a sundae. Devone was definitely the ice cream. She followed him to the door, quirking an eyebrow at his gentlemanly action, “After you Akira.” It was a bit odd, seeing as she was typically one of the boys and neither her nor her male friends went to such lengths to notice chivalry. She didn't argue however, or make much of a spectacle, "Thanks.." she replied a little awkwardly, not used to the treatment. Then she thought to Silas, a smile crossing her lips. He wouldn't have said anything like that unless he was teasing her. She almost laughed, but held it in. Thankfully she hadn't indulged in her moment of happiness, because the announcement that came next would have ruined it entirely.

“Attention everyone!” “Airdalen High would like to apologise for its most recent sleeping gas incident. After thorough investigation, we have discovered the school janitor Miss Morrison had released a homemade fragrance in the ventilation systems as a quick means of performing her duties as cleaning lady, as well as to serve her own means as she has always had a strong disgust towards body odors.

Time froze for Akira. Who was going to run against Kei for class president? Varthur wasn't allowed to die. She hadn't apologized.. she never got to ask him why he was so rude at the bonfire. She never got to ask him much of anything.. She wanted to study with him to bring her grades up.. He's too young to die... that can't be true.. She didn't realize it but her knuckles were turning white. If she wasn't with Kei she probably would have been beating in a locker to vent her emotions out. She could barely contain her grief, her anger for the informality. They spoke of his death like a morning announcement. It wasn't until Kei spoke up that she submerged from her anger, enough to speak at least, "Yeah.. only it's not funny.. He deserved a much longer explanation than that. Do we even get to go to the funeral?" She asked, not to Kei in particular, but mostly out of disbelief.

Cassie was certain that she was going to be scolded by Hotaru with full flames and arsenal once they see each other later. She already had a sample through the phone earlier. She truly believed that her ear was going to come off from the non-stop barrage of scolding. It was good to know that Aeon was able to pacify Hotaru. It seemed that her guardian trusts Aeon more than her which was rather odd. Well, she understands though. It was because her tendency to exceed her prescribed limits once in a while which leads to the occasional trouble. There was also the issue about Airdalen earlier on the news wave. The death of a student due to anaphylaxis, Varthur Laurence, it was the announcement which rattled the school done through a PA system.

She was saddened about this development. She has no idea who Varthur is but, it is always a depressing matter to hear that someone died, especially if it was a fellow student and also a fellow Senior. Speaking of which, she had heard that name from Akira earlier when she asked who to vote for president. She was going to vote him. How sad. He wanted to meet him even once. Her bright red eyes dimmed with sadness and it does not take a genius to notice that she was depressed. Her concern about being scolded by Hotaru was completely forgotten as she focused on that death. She wondered if the school would hold a funeral ceremony here or could she go to offer her condolences to Varthur's family. Moreover, she felt the PA announcement was done aloofly and distant in a sense. But, it couldn't be helped, right? She wasn't sure anymore.

It is true she hasn't even met Varthur but, dying… She remembered her nightmarish dream of that brutal world and shook her head to dissipate such an image in her head. Dying was never a wonderful thing, no matter what or who goes through it. “Aeon, I want to go to Varthur’s funeral.” She was walking slightly behind him as she was thinking about certain matters. They were going to meet Hotaru at the front gates, after that, she would need to do some medical check-ups as insisted. “I don’t know him personally and I bet he has a lot of friends. But… I’m really sad he is gone.” She stated as she could feel the tears about to fall from her eyes. She was rather unstable probably due to the mental experience she had earlier along with her personal issues. She knows of this. Earlier, she was happy because, it was just a dream, and Aeon was with her. Now, she was depressed because of Varthur’s death. But, she simply is very open to her emotions. She doesn't hide it and has no care who sees it.

She stopped from her walking and right there, the tears fell. She began to cry. She gripped tightly at the front hem of her skirt. She didn't care if she was making a scene again. Well, she did already made one where she was on top of Aeon and embracing him. It was probably going to cause more gossip about the two of them, but it was not an issue for them at all. But now, it looks like that Aeon had made her cry, of course, it was not true. Just like that, she continued to cry silently. The tears continued to fall without fail. It just wouldn't stop. She stood there at the middle of the hallways, just a few meters away from the entrance and where a lot of students were now being a curious crowd.

Image

“I’m…. sorry…. The tears…. Just won’t stop…. So sorry…” Cassie managed to say in between. Just like that, she was completely unaware of the fact, that the two people she met at her dream were real persons. Because, the little girl named Mai and Raiden were coming up behind her. It seemed like that dreams are actually another side of reality.

Well, Cassiopeia was able to calm down from her mixed emotions of relief and happiness. Aeon was not certain what caused it. But perhaps, the girl had a bad dream, just like him. Although, it was highly unlikely that the two of them had the same dream. In any case, he was able to return to his feet and judged her condition. It appeared the girl was fine and there were no concerns in terms of her health. Ignoring the looks they were receiving from other students and curious peers, he stoically aided the Argyris Princess. Furthermore, he also intervened with Hotaru who called Cassiopeia. He was standing beside the white-haired princess and could hear the bombardment of scoldings and concern. In addition, there had been an incident at their school which was reported to the news media.

If Aeon would take a guess, it would be about the mass sleeping event. It would seem that the entire student body was incapacitated. Soon enough, the school had declared through the PA system what exactly happened. It seemed the cleaning lady who simply wanted to make her job easier caused an unintentional death to one of the students, Varthur Laurence. He has no idea who that person is. That is because he is not acquainted to that man. Thus, the news was simply passing information to him. Of course, a death was a sad thing. He knew well what it feels like to be left behind. However, everyone alive would eventually die. There was no use being overly concerned about it. They must move on.

Yet, this could not be the same for the red-eyed princess Aeon was escorting to the front gates to meet with Hotaru who would take Cassiopeia for some medical check-ups. It was going to be done for further assurance and at the same time some health maintenance. After all, it was not a secret to him what her true condition really is. Regardless, he does not see the need to overly protect the girl who desires to experience life as it is. In that light, he would not impede her. With that trail of thought, he was disturbed when she spoke. As to be expected, the girl was far too empathetic and too kind for her own good. She declared that she wanted to go to the funeral. He did not stop from his pace nor did he turn around. Regardless, her words were not being ignored by him. He heard them but, it was not enough to be bothered or to deter him from his walk.

The only time that Aeon stopped was when he finally noticed that Cassiopeia stopped from her pace. He turned around to look at the white-haired girl who was now crying at the middle of the hallway. In truth, he was uncertain whether he should be annoyed that she was easily affected or too much open in terms of her emotions. However, that is how she simply is. Unlike him, he had always been indifferent and had firmly decided to cover such feeble emotions in a brilliant stoic mask. Experience wise, it was more effective especially when dealing with troublesome people. It also aided him never to be bounded. He has absolute freedom. But then again, Cassiopeia appeared to be the same, she has freedom. What is the difference between them then? Perhaps, that is why he had agreed to this engagement of theirs. No, it is one of the reasons.

Aeon knew that the scene would appear that he had made Cassiopeia cry. Actually, he could already hear some of the murmurs from the gathering crowd about him doing just that. They were labeling him turning Cassiopeia down. How unreliable, really. People easily conclude from what they see, but not from what they know. Well, he could care less about them. He walked towards Cassiopeia and placed a hand on top of her head. Of course, this was a comforting gesture of his even if, his facial expression remained completely neutral. “Don’t apologize. Just cry it all out.” That was all he said. There was no use stopping her from those tears. She should let it fall until she could not cry anymore. Until then, he will be here… Until then…

Akira was having a go back at her and Sera shot over glares that could kill, but Devone only continued wearing her trademark smug smirk. Such reactions only proved she still had a bit of influence in the dire situation. A conceited part of her even dared to think that those two owed her, considering her little ‘talks’ gave them enough strength to open their loud mouths in Akira’s case, and look a little harder in Sera’s case. Although they were under serious stress conditions and it was a matter of life and death.. maybe even a matter of time, Devone didn’t want to go down as anyone else but Devone. That meant not getting soft just because. Before she could continue feeding on their reactions towards her though, the room was no longer safe to occupy. "Everyone get to the windows and get them open, that door isn't going to hold!""Move!" Devone made a beeline for the windows, uncaring for those that seemed frozen in place (Keiko). It’s a cold cruel world out there, pigeon.

Devone spotted Sera opening the windows and by the time she reached her, the girl was gazing back at her. Oh, so you do care. Devone thought to herself sarcastically before taking the time to blow a kiss and make a move for out the window. "Kaoru, lead everyone to safety.” “Thanks Sera. Alright everyone get through one of these three windows. Quick and orderly! Sera and Kaoru will lead you away from harm." There were so many voices screaming over the mayhem their previous and most likely now retired P.E teacher Mr. Drone was causing that Devone was losing track of who was saying what. All she picked up on was, she was going to escape this hell hole.. and someone actually believed the little runt who was nowhere near a man (Kaoru) could help keep them safe. Or.. they just know he’s not useful against that lump Drone and wanted to toss him with the women without being harsh. As if being insensitive matters now.. In a split second, Devone lost her footing and reached out for something to grab on or for someone to grab her. Not like anyone.. would.

-END DREAM-

Devone woke up in one of her most unsightly poses ever on the tiled floor of one of Airdalen High’s female bathrooms. Thankfully, no one was there to see it. By the time she had woken up, she had managed to catch onto a bit of the school announcement. “--After thorough investigation, we have discovered the school janitor Miss Morrison had released a homemade fragrance in the ventilation systems as a quick means of performing her duties as cleaning lady, as well as to serve her own means as she has always had a strong disgust towards body odors. Unknown to her, the fragrance also served a second function as a sleeping gas that has worked on a selection of students and staff alike. This specific concoction also possessed a trace of the smell of roses..” “It is unfortunate that one of our senior students has passed away on our grounds due to his severe allergic case.”
I always thought an allergic reaction to flowers was quite idiotic.. Devone mused to herself.
“Airdalen High does not tolerate pranks of any sort for any reason given. As a result, the school janitor has been fired and apprehended by the police. Due to this incident, after school clubs will also be cancelled for today. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Varthur Laurence..”

Ugh, that’s why I prefer butlers over maids.. Devone mused to herself again, standing up and flicking her hair over her shoulder. Glancing at the mirror, she furrowed her brows in disbelief that of all places she had to collapse in a bathroom. In plain sight, was a darkened bruise to the side of her right eye, probably an area she had collapsed hard onto. “Darn.” She traced the affected area with her fingertips and left the bathroom still concealing it underneath her hand. Her other hand made the necessary call to Atsushi. “Hello?” “Atsushi..” Devone actually felt relieved to hear his voice which made her feel both nostalgic and disgusted all at once. “Nevermind..” Devone murmured to herself. “The incident at Airdalen was on the news. I attempted to make my way on school grounds to retrieve you but the police insisted I stay away from the premises--” “I DON’T HIRE YOU TO MAKE EXCUSES!” Devone yelled into her cellphone out of impulse. Maybe the nightmare situation had only been a silly nightmare but… Devone still felt, weak. “I need…” Devone hesitated before biting her lip and admitting what she really needed as she leaned against a wall. “I need help.” There was silence on the other end of the phone line for a while to the point Devone immediately started regretting it. She almost felt like she had said a truth that didn’t need to be said, and that was bad to say at all. “I’m coming.” Atsushi confirmed before the call was ended and Devone could only wait huddled against the wall of a hallway of students with some giving her strange looks. She wasn’t sure if they had heard her plea as it wasn’t loud at all. She just hoped the stares were due to her previous anger fit. If by chance they had heard her plea and thought she was going all soft, they'd have another thing coming to them worse than simply inhaling innocent sleeping gas.

While most of the other students who seemed to have their spirits dropped from the news of a fellow student passing away on school grounds, it hadn't bothered Jonathan all that much. He just didn't know this Varthur that everybody had on their minds, and the topic of death was certainly not something that Jonathan deemed worrisome. Everybody dies in the end.

He dismissed the thought, focusing on the present and the future. With rallies for class president starting tomorrow, and with Valentines coming around the corner next week, Jonathan needed to find a way to entertain himself for the next week or so, as he had always deemed rallies unexciting. There's always that new arcade center that's not too far from here, he thought to himself, deep enough in thought that he had zoned out his surroundings to a bare minimum.

Maybe I can ask Kaoru and Momo-

Bump.

Somebody had walked into his back, the second time today. "H-hey! Who do you thi-" Breaking away from his thoughts, Jonathan turned around, slightly startled. His eyes had met those of the female student (Arietta) that had rushed into him, hers an aqua blue? She was the third person that he had seen with blonde hair within five minutes of each other at the most, the fourth for the day.

She quickly apologized for walking into him, but it was more of a statement or mental note that a true apology, before intruding herself as a certain Arietta Hakushiro and [almost unknowingly] demanded what his name was. "Well, aren't you a feisty one? Name's Jonathan Fenix, and it's quite alright, nice to meet you," brightly chuckling off the demanding tone of the student's voice, despite that he was slightly annoyed at how she acted. By judging that he hadn't seen her at neither the beach excursion or when they returned, and that the student before him was holding what he assumed to be her schedule, he would assume that Arietta was a new student. "So, are you a junior or senior?" he politely asked, not wanting to have any misunderstanding. "And I do apologize for my somewhat sloppy appearance, today's been a really... interesting day."

Kaoru finally brought himself to getting up, retrieving his school bag before waving to Sera, "Hey, I'm heading out.. if you and Momo want to get into something this weekend here's my number.. I know I'm going about this backwards, but I'm kind of in a rush.. I've got chores to do or I'll be in trouble." He grinned mischievously, "If that woman comes home and sees they're not done.." He muttered under his breath, shivering at the thought of his roommate Kyoko coming home to his chores undone. Sure she wasn't of any relation to him, but he still listened to her like an older sister. She was in college and helped keep his life normal.

"Ja ne!" Kaoru replied once he realized he was still standing in front of her. He sped out of the room after waving again, about to use the back entrance for his escape. Most students exited through the front of the buildings, therefore the back doors were much less crowded. He saw Jonathan bump into some blonde chick (Arietta), well, it seemed like she bumped into Jonathan.. but the girl was cute.. So he blamed Jonathan. It's just the way Kaoru's mind worked. Perhaps where he grew up around all women? Though he didn't have time to say anything, seeing as the announcement came through the intercom

“Attention everyone!” The female voice coughed before continuing.

An allergy to flowers? I wonder who died... He thought to himself, feeling grief before they even read off the name. He wasn't sure who it was, but if they were a student they were too young to die as far as he was concerned. Though as they read the name it nearly brought tears to his eyes.

“Airdalen High does not tolerate pranks of any sort for any reason given. As a result, the school janitor has been fired and apprehended by the police. Due to this incident, after school clubs will also be cancelled for today. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Varthur Laurence..”

He felt like he was falling down an endless whirl. He knew he was standing still, but suddenly it felt like he'd fallen into the rabbit hole. This had to be what the physical sensation would feel like.. Eiffel Tower died? He thought to himself in disbelief. I just saw him this morning.. I don't understand.. He thought as emotional flood gates threatened to slam against him. Everyone around me seems to die.. Kaa-san.. Otōsan.. Oba-chan.. Varthur.. They all died.. everyone around me keeps dying.. He gripped his bag in attempt to keep his tears in check. Though his entire body was shaking as he stood there, he felt alone, but he knew there was an entire school waiting for him to show signs of weakness. They were waiting for him to give them a weapon to rip him apart with.. especially his senior partner Devone. She practically promised to bring his demise into reality. Again.. Though she didn't know that. He wasn't allowed to cry, especially here. He was a boy, he wasn't supposed to cry. Not even at a time like this. No one would understand, he'd get made fun of.

He decided to get his mind off of it. Jonathan and Momo were still alive, Sera too. He would pay his respects to the family if they weren't allowed at the funeral. He just felt Varthur deserved a little more than a single line about himself. Though he couldn't do anything about it. He approached Jonathan and the pretty blonde (Arietta), "Well you make quick time, don't you?" He teased Jonathan, nudging the red haired male, eyeing the blonde girl nonchalantly. He checked her out as if it was something casual, as if there was nothing wrong with his blunt behavior, "She's pleasant to look at." He smirked, before lowering his arrogance level, "Hi, I'm Kaoru Inoue. Junior. What's your name?" He asked with a foolish grin on his face, whiched seemed to be an iconic expression of his.

Then he looked to Jonathan again, "Man, I just started coming to school into town.. I invited some girls to hang out.. but I'm completely out of my league when it comes to ideas on what to do." He laughed rubbing the back of his neck nervously, "Wanna come too? You know any cool places to go??" He asked practically hanging on a thread as he awaited Jonathan's next response.

Then he smiled to the blonde (Arietta), "You can come tooo!" He chimed with excited laughter, "A cute girl is always welcome, ne?" He nudged Jonathan again. Getting the wrong idea about their conversation (Jonathan's and Arietta's), seeing as he hadn't been paying attention. Kaoru didn't realize what kind of girl Arietta was exactly.

Arietta was instantly speechless when Jonathan straightforwardly tilted her as feisty. There was little she could manage at first other than to stare at the red haired male in stupefaction. She blinked her blue eyes rather fast in the moments following his statement, before she responded externally. She shook her head rather quickly, cheeks a light pink before crossing her arms. She was nervous, attempting to hide behind her cold outer walls, eyes avoiding his before recomposing, "Not particularly. I have a busy schedule that isn't pleasant to disturb and the ladies in the office are simply incompetent when it comes to a speedy retrieval of something even as trivial as a schedule." She laughed confidently toward him. She bit the inside of her cheek before closing her eyes letting out a calm breath, "Let me try that again.." She replied in a softer tone, before she was smiling brightly at him, "It's nice to meet you." She held her hand out for him to shake, obviously quite formal, and from her designer attire, quite wealthy to boot, "I'm a junior this year. I switched classes last minute." She lied pretending she wasn't new, dropping her harshness, though she was still somewhat off. I'm doing it again.. I just lied directly to his face for no apparent reason. She didn't show any indication on her features though, barely even batting an eyelash. She was so accustomed to these pointless lies she told everyone around her that it was almost convincing to even her. She was about to wave and make her leave, but they were approached by a rather eccentric cerulean haired boy. She was nearly staggered by how incredibly the boy was vertically challenged. She was two inches taller than him, and she was in tennis shoes. She couldn't imagine standing next to him in heels.

"...Pleasure..." She smiled, though there was a lot less effort than she posed with Jonathan, obviously not impressed by Kaoru's flirtatious attitude. She uncrossed her arms, folding her schedule and carefully pocketing it. He's too short to be hitting on the likes of me. She thought, mentally amusing herself as the boy continued to talk about her looks, irritating her a bit at his blunt behavior, but a compliment was a compliment, she'd take it, even from a pipsqueak. Geez kid. I'm 5'2''.. you're 5'2'' with shoes on? Have you ever heard of this miracle called milk..?

She then returned her interest, quirking an eyebrow. Oh they're hanging out this weekend.. She thought to herself excitedly. She would have jumped in glee at the invite, but she was still surrounded by people who'd judge her every move. She couldn't act a certain way until she identified the popular crowd. "Depends.. send me a Facebook request and link me the people who's coming. I'll consider it." She smiled to the two, giving a friendly wink as she made her way out of the building, "See ya around guys.. maybe. I've got to run." Honestly she was just fleeing before they detect her bad habit of lying. She had to get used to the environment before she'd settle on a group of friends. She proceeded down the hall, smiling to herself. Score. I got an invite on my first day. Please don't be the tech nerds..

She answered her ringing phone, "Gramps. I already told Nan that I was walking home. No! Do not send a driver. I'm fine, it was all over before I got here. I'm alive and well. They got fired. No. I want to get out and experience a few things on my own. I've got two legs. I need the exercise." She rolled her eyes before hanging up on him. She knew it wasn't wise, but they hadn't been on good footing for quite some time. I want to make friends.. Real friends this time.. but I keep trying to impress people on accident..

Momo had started running when all hell broke loose with collapsing buildings and certainly unnatural earthquakes started to take place. She could feel her adrenaline pumping despite the intense moment, like a tough survivor enduring the hardships of an apocalypse. In saying that, it was just the beginning of the outbreak of zombies and she hadn't run into the issue of going hungry or being nibbled on just yet. There was also no telling how much worse things were going to get at this rate but a part of her felt good to be useful, and able rather than purely reliant and helpless like she would have been a few years ago before she changed for what she perceived to be for the better. After a bit of running though, she realised something was definitely off. She hadn't heard footsteps in a long while. Turning around and checking her surroundings, a sweat broke out. Where is everyone else? She had assumed they would be able to keep up as no one looked out of shape and she had also assumed the role of a leader but what kind of leader would she be if she had lost the entire group? She gritted her teeth and started running back to the chaotic scene, angry and frustrated with herself knowing if something went wrong, she wouldn't be able to forgive her shortcomings. A series of potential bad outcomes raced through her mind such as if someone got bitten or eaten alive, if someone got severely injured or worse, if someone was to be found dead. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Momo bit her lip as she scanned her surroundings again to find fallen debris, and her previous group trying to dig something from under it. When Momo saw the scene, she froze with nothing else to say but, "This is all my fault.."

-end dream-

"Ajskdsjdss!" Momo awoke, spluttering out gibberish when her eyelids fluttered open to realise she had just been dreaming. It really annoyed her that she had let a mere fantasy or illusion get the better of her emotions to the point her eyes were watery with sadness. She wiped off the tears and yawned, faking tiredness in case she wasn't alone although somehow that nightmare had left her with a well-rested feeling. Looking around, she caught sight of Sera and smiled widely as she leaped into an exaggerated greeting hug. "Hey Sera! Sorry if I seem weird it's just really cold.." she lied, trying to make excuse for the tightening arm wrap and the way she buried her head to hide her emotions. Momo was just really glad to see Sera. In the realistic dream world, she hadn't been able to save her and had failed those she did come across. Even though it was just a 'mere fantasy' or 'illusion' a part of her honestly felt responsible, because she still made decisions she would have done in the event of a real zombie apocalypse and she didn't feel proud of it. She thought she could be a somewhat hero or maybe even a group leader helping others survive but in the end, she had failed drastically. Momo felt that she still needed to change more than she already had and be the best she could be or she was no better than those that bullied her or turned away when she needed help. She was forcibly pulled out of her thoughts when the school’s PA system sounded:
“Attention everyone! Airdalen High would like to apologise for its most recent sleeping gas incident. After thorough investigation, we have discovered the school janitor Miss Morrison had released a homemade fragrance in the ventilation systems as a quick means of performing her duties as cleaning lady, as well as to serve her own means as she has always had a strong disgust towards body odors.

Momo’s heart beat slowed as her eyes widened in shock. “Did I just.. hear that?”

Keiko decided to put the nightmare behind her. She had had many.. many bad dreams before. Most of them were about losing someone, being dead, or the more reasonable one, being unable to ever get her prior memories back. "Ahh, yeah. It's me Bishop. Good to see you Keiko." "Oh." Keiko poked her cheek as it puffed up with determination to think. Bishop.. Bishop.. isn't that a priesthood kinda.. thingy? Bishie is a priest? Her eyes widened and shook in their sockets as she jumped back, gasped and covered her mouth with her hands in an exaggerated shock manner. But Bishie is so young! "Keiko, this is another friend of mine... Daniel." Keiko composed herself as best as she could before waving with a closed eyes smile towards her new other blonde acquaintance. "Heyo! howdy do?" She blinked, hand still floating in the air before blinking a bit more as Daniel and the older man discussed something seemingly important. Keiko head tilted, watching their conversation play out. It was hard for her to understand what their relationship was except that the younger one was calling all the shots. "shall we make our way? Please, allow me to offer my own automobile as means of transportation." Daniel stated simply as Keiko watched him walk away from the school.

"Ohhh." Keiko said to herself, blinking before fumbling with her fingers as if something was bothering her. "What's an.. automobile..." she mumbled to herself as it wasn't a term she had heard of before, slightly blushing as she followed after him. "Oh." She stopped in her steps and sashayed back to Bishop, pulling him along by the arm. "Come on, food awaits~!" she said energetically, laughing playfully.

Daniel stepped outside "The weather wasn't half bad here, well so far." he thought. The boy waited impatiently for his bodyguard, tapping his foot in the process. However, when Daniel turned on his heels to continue to the parking lot, he heard the intercom crackle on from inside of the school.

Daniel saw as Caleb literally froze mid-step, his body frigged as if he had been frozen in a split second. "W-what?!" Caleb's face distorted in horror.

"Yes I agree Caleb," Daniel replied in a concerned tone. "This is quite the peculiar turn in events..." The boy allowed a smile to takeover his face. "However, your physical condition has taken the top priority of my concern!" He was almost laughing now, trying his best to hold it in.

"Sir!" Caleb took on a most serious expression, but was still recovering from his initial shock. "This is hardly a joking matter! Someone was killed!"

"Oh calm your nerves Caleb," he said regaining his composure. "Did you not hear? This 'Varthur' fellow had some sort of allergic reaction. Nothing to be worried about." As if to emphasize his final statement, Daniel continued his walk to the parking lot as if nothing had happened. "Are you coming Caleb?" Daniel hollered back. "Or do I need to call an ambulance?" Sticking his hands in his pockets, the boy strode away, allowing a chuckle to escape his lips.

Caleb felt like he had just been hit in the head, twice. First the announcement, then Daniel's behavior. The man shook himself out of it. "I'm on your heels sir!" he called back, jogging to catch up. He knew he would have to talk all of this out with Daniel, but maybe after a little something to eat. He really was growing hungry.
