Arietta woke up bright and early, rubbing her eyes with a yawn. She remembered calling her grandfather to pick her up, but wasn't so sure how she got to her bed. The last thing she recalled was falling asleep in the back seat of his driver's car. She sat up, letting her feet dangle off the bed as she stretched. A loud yawn came from the blonde as she groggily reach for her phone, "Oh..look... One friend request from Kaoru..." she added him, and quickly looked up Jonathan, adding him as well. She didn't bother to look at their pages yet.. She felt icky and definitely wanted to shower before she officially started her day. She grabbed a change of clothes, before making her way to the bathroom. She intercepted her grandfather, rushing inside and locking the door behind her. She heard him cursing her from the other side of the door, but she just continued her routine. It took an hour, but she eventually released the bathroom to her fuming grandfather, a giggle escaping her lips as he continued to speak foul towards her until he'd shut the door on her. (Just on Arietta's face claim of course.. Couldn't find an outfit Sena wore that would be funeral appropriate.)

Glad to see Gramps is already in a good mood. She thought to herself sarcastically. Grabbing her phone, Arietta locked her bedroom door, going to the living room and giving her Nana a kiss on the cheek. The energetic woman smiled to Arietta, and looked over her attire, "Where are you going..?" She asked concerned. Arietta smiled a bit, looking down to the floor. Her Nana handed her a cup of coffee, finally guessing the answer based on the look of her granddaughter's face, "Are you going to that boy's funeral..? You didn't even know him Ari-chan.." She put her hand on the blonde's shoulder, smiling gently.

"Still, it would be wrong to ignore it. We're not the richest family in the area, but for me to attend Airdalen and not show my respects to the Laurence family.. It would be rude and reflect badly on the family as a whole.." She never felt comfortable at funerals.. She never got to meet her parents, so she was almost terrified of loss.. her own, or otherwise. Though her Nana gave her a big hug, handing her a decent amount of money, "Here. Buy the family something nice."

She smiled a bit, though she really wished that her Nana would have left paying up to her.. She took a long drink from her coffee before sitting it down, "I'm also going to the Arcade later, but I have my own money for that." She smiled. Her Nana's eyes brightened up, "You've already made some friends?" her mood became almost overly chipper as she leaned in towards Arietta, as if she were in high school herself, "Have you met any boys??" She asked with a huge grin on her face, asking quietly as to not alert Mr. Hakushiro.

Arietta frowned a bit, her mind going back to the four guys she'd met the day before.. First she was reacquainted with Raiden.. then she bumped into Jonathan and met that inappropriate kid Kaoru... and finally Daniel.. She wasn't particularly fond of any of them, but maybe it was because of the incident.. She just didn't feel ready to give someone a chance after what happened.. She didn't put her life on hold.. but she wasn't looking at anyone as a potential boyfriend candidate..

"I made some friends... but nothing more than that I assure you, Nana." She smiled, checking her phone, "OH! I gotta go. I still have to buy flowers and get directions. I'll call a driver once I pick up the flowers and know where I'm going." With that she chugged her coffee and was out ther door like a yellow flash of lightning. She decided to not actually buy flowers, instead she went to a card shop. The boy died from an allergy to flowers.. They are probably the last thing his parents wanted to see..

She put the money in the card after writing a personal apology. She didn't know their son, but she felt it was her duty to the Hakushiro family to attend. She then messaged Jonathan and Kaoru, "Hey, I don't know where the funeral is... directions..?? I can also arrange a car pool if you want to go as well.."

Mai

Glancing around the tall man it seemed the commotion she caused alerted another employee. At the moment Mai felt bad that she made the guy take time away from work, but it seemed the two were on good terms and the tall man returned his attention back to her. In doing so Mai made sure to avoid eye contact. All the while Mai certainly did wonder what was going through the giants head. He must still think me a child, but I’m not. If she had the courage to then Mai would probably be pouting and throwing a tantrum at being thought of as a kid. Letting the tall man take the list he nodded his head in a thoughtful manner. "I see..."

Head tilted to the side ever so slightly Mai wasn’t sure what to make of his words. Standing to his full height Mai took a step back and forced her eyes to follow him. Seeing him speak with the co-worker from before Mai began to nibble on her finger averting her eyes from the two when she couldn’t bear the notion of being seen staring. From where she stood, which wasn’t that far really, Mai could hear snippets of what they were saying and when the giant took his apron off Mai’s mouth opened slightly.

He turned to face her then the words "I'll take you there." falling from his lips. At first it didn’t register what he had said and then there was a short moment of confusion. Take me where? To the market? Shaking her head slightly realizing the stupidity of her own question Mai brought her hand back to her side pulling at her jacket. Glancing up at him it was then that she noticed his outstretched hand. "My name is Ryou and what's yours?"

Mai’s mouth opened and closed and for a minute or two she stared at his hand. It had been a long time since anyone had ever offered their hand and introduce themselves, let alone ask for her name. She could feel the corners of her lips curl slightly at the idea of being acknowledge even if he saw her as child. A light blush spread across her cheeks and with a shaking hand Mai reached for his. Taking the ends of his fingers Mai shook his hand and was shocked at the difference in size. Had she taken his entire hand Mai’s would have disappeared within his own grip. Turning her head away Ryou Mai pulled at her jacket again before finally introducing herself. “Ah I-I’m M-Mai. P-Pleased t-to ma-ake y-you’re a-acqu-ain-tance.”

Pulling her hand away quickly so she was no longer in contact with Ryou, Mai wasn’t sure why he was helping her. While she did want to ask him the small girl decided it would be best to just take this offer of charity. Hopefully this time she'd be able to remember the route to the market. She knew the way that led her to this store but to the market was an entirely different matter.

Yesterday

"Well" Daniel said to the girls (Devone and Ariettta). "Meeting the two of you was the highlight of my day, but I'm sure you have many a topic to discuss privately." The boy began to turn away. "Oh yes...and if you ever decide to for whatever reason..." He flicked two cards with his phone number on the table. "Please feel free to contact me."

With that, the Junior walked over to sit with his own group (Bishop and Keiko). The meal was good, nothing short of what the price stated. He had Caleb take care of the group's bill before having him drive Bishop and Keiko home. Daniel provided his companions with cards as well, before saying farewell.

Today

The next morning, the blonde awoke from the sound of a rapping on the wall of his room. "Hello sir, are you awake?" It was undoubtably Caleb's voice.

"I am now." Daniel replied groggily. He sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "What time is it?" The boy asked.

"Right around 7 am sir. You know it's a good practice to awake at regular times."

"Yes, yes. Of course. I understand." Daniel climbed out of bed and dressed himself rather informaly. (A black T-shirt with khaki slacks, and a red blazer) He wasn't going anywhere in particular today, so he refrained from anything more formal. The two then strolled out the door, and into their car.

"Same place? Or are you feeling adventurous?"

"Same." The aristocrat looked out the window, watching as the buildings and padestrians zoomed by. Then, an idea hit him. "Maybe Bishop would like to kill some time together. After all, it's quite lonely to be a murderer without an accomplice." The boy pulled the phone from his pocket and tapped the icon with Bishop's name on it. "And from the way he's been eyeing these seats, I'm sure he wouldn't be dissapointed by the car we'll be taking." Smiling at the thought, he put the phone to his ear.

"And then, we met."

ImageMai, so that's her name. It fits her. The handshake she did was short and rather odd. She just shook his fingers, but that also made it obvious to him again how small she really is. It made him wonder if she was getting enough nutrition or what not. One thing he could say though, she acts nervously but, it does make her endearing to him in a way. She's cute. This is based on his sole belief that she's a kid. "It's nice to meet you Mai." His tone considerably kind which matched the gentle expression on his face.

"Here." He handed her back the grocery list. He then pointed at a certain direction. The market is that way." He said before starting to lead the way, but then he remembered something. His pace was rather considerate. His long legs could get him anywhere faster than any average person especially against his current companion. That's why he slowed his pace to make sure that she won't feel the need to catch up with him. Instead, he matched his with hers.

He also took the easiest and safest route to their destination. He would also occasionally tell her directions which would be easy for her to recall along the way. He would even add a few landmarks for easy recognition. Then, they finally arrived at the market. There was a huge crowd and it was understandable. It's during around that the market is abuzz. It would not be hard to get lost in that sea of people. Still, it's remarkable as the wave of people circled around them because, they couldn't help but admire him in all of his glory.

He couldn't just up and leave her here. It was like throwing a piece of meat into a sea full of sharks literally. The noises and hype of the market created a very lively scene. "What do you need first?" He asked as he looked at her. It would be best to assist her in shopping as well, but before he could hear her answer. "Ryou-kun?" He looked at the person who called him and it was an elderly. It was one of the meat vendors, Fuwa-san. He did some shopping with his Aunt, so he was a familiar face to some of the vendors. "Good day, Fuwa-san."

"Good day! So, what do you need?" Ryou gazed at Mai. "She's the one in-charge." He stated with an amiable tone as Fuwa-san looked at her and smiled courteously. "I see, so what's does the cute missy needs?"

Raiden had woken up earlier than usual due to the sound of knuckles rapping against his door but he was too tired to get up and answer it after staying up late gaming. Tossing and turning in bed, he eventually drifted off again. When he woke up for good this time, it was 11 pm and he rushed his morning routine worried about showing up late to his tutoring session. When he was dressed in his previous school's uniform as the most formal item in his wardrobe that he had available, he made his way for breakfast to realise that it had already been prepared yet Mai was nowhere in sight. "Hmm.. Mai?" After searching the house a bit, he found her note pinned up that said she had gone to buy groceries. Still a little worried, he scratched the back of his head before writing under her note, "Okay, if you come back and need me later here's my number."

The trip to the library was uneventful as he settled himself down at one of the available tables with some recommended reading textbooks to the side along with his own book of notes. He tapped his pen against the desk before checking the time. He still had half an hour to go before the agreed session time. Looking around to see that the library wasn't busy today, he stretched and leaned forward to bury his head in folded arms still groggy. Staying up late was probably a bad idea.. I don't know how Lumi does this all the time. Unlike his online friend, Raiden needed his 9 hours of rest. Last night, he had only gotten 5 hours and a bit. It felt horrible.

A bit further away he noticed a couple giggling to themselves by a shelf and it got on his nerves. Both because of the annoying sound that made it harder to take a nap and the fact they were a couple. Instead of saying anything though, he put a hard-covered book up in front of him to block his vision and went back to plopping his head sideways on the desk. Raiden was a patient guy, always had been but he was also hoping his latest pupil would show up soon to distract him. Before he could wait anymore though, he had drifted off to sleep. His chest inhaled and exhaled slowly while his eyes and mouth were gently shut.

Akira was dreaming about running in a track meet. All the track team was there, and they were finally down to the 300 meter dash, Akira's strong point. Just as the whistle blew and she left the starting line, she woke up. A loud scream had Akira throwing herself out of bed and sprinting for the door. Her socks slid on the wooden floor and eventually caused her to fall flat on her face after a minute or so of flailing and slipping. She rubbed her face as she sat up and stretched quickly. She rubbed her eyes as she approached the sound, blinking dumbfounded at her grandmother. The old woman was sitting in the hallway, a laundry basket on her head and all the clothes were spilled out on the floor.

Akira sighed to herself, shaking her head. She can't even carry a laundry basket? She thought irritated. This is getting ridiculous. No matter how many times Akira scheduled her grandmother a doctor's appointment, all her tests came back healthy. There was nothing wrong with her, other than perhaps chronic laziness. Akira rounded up the clothes and put them in the basket before helping her grandmother up. She looked her over, making sure her grandmother wasn't actually hurt for once. Once she got her in the kitchen, Akira cooked her breakfast and looked to the clock. She had time. She did the dishes and the rest of the laundry and about an hour before she needed to be at the library she took a shower. She planned to run to the library, she needed the exercise anyhow. What with all the strange occurrences this year, Akira hadn't kept herself in as good of shape as she would have liked.

She threw on a purple sporty sweater, some spandex shorts, and a plaid skirt over them and she combed her fingers through her hair. It wasn't her typical attire, but she already promised to quit pretending she was a boy. She even left the chest binding materials on her dresser. She slid on her converse before checking the time. She had less than thirty minutes to be there. She skipped eating and stormed out of her room, giving her grandma a rushed kiss on the cheek, "See you later Obaa-chan!" and without any further explanation she was out the door. She found the sidewalk, greatful it was a clean sprint to the Library from her house. She got in sprinting position, checking the time before dashing off. She hadn't had a practice yet, so she took it upon herself to time her sprints. She typically could do the 300 meter in 39 seconds, but she wanted to get better at it. As soon as the clock switched to the next minute she was off. She ran clean down the street, hoping she wouldn't bump into anyone as she ran. She had one or two close calls, but she made it. It wasn't exactly record time, but she made it. She wiped her forehead, spritzing herself with a bit of perfume she'd pocketed just in case. She brought a pencil and eraser, but she hoped he had books because she'd forgotten hers at the school.

She went up the steps to the library and slipped inside quietly, scanning the room. She looked to her phone, then the Library. There weren't a lot of people there, so she assumed it wouldn't be hard to find Raiden. At least luck is on my side, I have no idea what this guy even looks like... She thought with a mental laugh, rubbing the back of her neck nervously. Okay.. There's the Librarian, over there is just a couple.. ew.. gross.. Then her eyes fell to the book shelves. A few nerdy girls scanning the shelves, and her eyes finally fell on a black haired male sleeping at one of the tables. She checked the time, sweatdropping a bit. I don't think a minute late is...that bad. She approached, seeing as he appeared to be the only guy in the room that fit the bill of being the person she planned on meeting.

As she got closer she grew stumped. He didn't have a nerdy vibe like Varthur, and actually the way he wore his clothes reminded her of Silas. They were formal clothes, but appeared to be adjusted more for comfort rather than coming across as black-tie material. She said nothing about it though, perhaps he wore glasses? Had a stutter? Braces? She so far couldn't fathom why someone like him chose to spend his weekends tutoring the unfortunate, paid or otherwise. Then she noticed the book. The couple made him uncomfortable too I guess.. At least I know he isn't going to be a a creep..

She took a seat across from him, leaning over and poking his shoulder, she did this a couple times before whispering to him, "Oi.. Are you Raiden?" She asked curiously, big brown eyes blinking a little faster than average. The way she chose to sit in the chair at the moment was definitely frowned upon, but she didn't feel like crossing the table just to wake him up, "I ran a minute or so late... Gomen ne." She laughed a little, finally leaning back in the chair once she was confident she'd woke up the dark haired boy. She saw no glasses on his face, but she remained quiet about her assumptions.

Though getting closer did make her realize one thing about this boy (Raiden). B-bishōnen.. She closed her eyes and let a tomboyish grin cross her features to mask her embarrassment. She nervously rubbed the back of her neck, reminding herself that he might have braces or a stutter that made him less intimidating. There is still time to for him to stutter or have braces.

"Hi, I'm Akira." She stated, realizing she forgot to re-introduce herself and she offered her hand for him to shake. I think I made a fool of myself again.. Though she had to admit it was nice meeting someone outside of Devone's clutches.. Someone who hadn't attended the beach party..

Raiden was dreaming that he was running away from something or someone through a forest at night with only a mere wavering flashlight in hand. He felt scared, desperate, out of breath as he wasn't fit but he knew he had to keep running even though for some reason his shoulders were killing him. It was only when he was caught that he realized that he was dreaming of Slender Man. This is ridiculous-- Unknown to him, the pain he was feeling during his dream or nightmare were just harmless pokes from the waking life. "Oi.. Are you Raiden?" Raiden's eyelids slowly and lazily opened to find himself face to face with a brunette with complementing brown eyes set on him. "Uhm..." Raiden's first word if it counts as a word, came out as a confused murmur. "I ran a minute or so late... Gomen ne."Oh, she must be the one who called yesterday. He cleared his throat before picking himself up off the table, feeling a little awkward that he was found sleeping like that. It wasn't an often occurrence for him and he definitely preferred dozing off at home than in a public place. It was also more comfortable to do so at home than anywhere else. It was never embarrassing to be caught sleeping by family members. Fortunately for Raiden he wasn't the snoring or drool type of sleeper. He looked across from where he was seated as the girl chuckled to herself and returned to sitting properly at her own seat.

"Right, sorry." Raiden apologized straight-forwardly with a slight bow of the head before picking up and clicking his pen, marking the appointment in a notepad. He personally liked to keep a record of his tutoring sessions including the free trials. He was organised when it came to both tutoring and school work. It was a habit of his and he wasn't quite sure where he picked it up from. "Hi, I'm Akira." Raiden's eyes lifted focus from the paper to the brunette's outstretched hand and introduction. It was a very western gesture compared to his bow of the head but he accepted her hand in his gently familiar enough with it. "Raiden. As you know, I'll be your tutor this session. Thanks for coming." He said politely enough as he released her hand from his grip. Despite his serious demeanor, he was shaken deep down at the thought of having to tutor a female on a more frequent basis. He was usually requested by other males as in his opinion, they were the target market for study help. He didn't have anything against Akira though. He was just extremely rusty dealing with females since his previous highschool where things went terribly wrong. Mai didn't count in his rustiness in communication with females as he had known her for quite a long time despite lack of contact and how they were after all, blood related.

He picked up the top textbook from his prepared pile and set it on the table between them, scan reading over it to check it was the right one before rotating it and sliding it more towards Akira for her to look over. "Do you know which of these topics you'll be covering this semester in advance? These are the usual in each school I assume..." He leaned back slightly, still composed. "Also, any chance you brought sample homework? Just so I have a better understanding of areas you need help with. Otherwise, just let me know and I'll do my best to assist you." It was only then that Raiden fully recalled his conversation on the phone with her and how she mentioned her attendance at Airdalen High. He debated with himself, unsure if he should mention his recent enrollment to her or if she'd even find it relevant. It did mean they could study together conveniently though if she asked for more sessions...
"You're an Airdalen student, correct? I hear their entrance exams are tough..." he said before scratching the back of his head and looking away, still debating if he should disclose his recent enrollment with her or not. There was a chance she was a junior or sophomore, and they wouldn't even bump into each other. It was a big school. It wouldn't be lying to not say anything either. To hell with it...
"I'm going to be studying there myself come Monday..." As soon as he said it, he regretted it. He had just met the brunette and sharing that he was going to be there as well made him feel like he was hitting on her somehow. "To clarify, by then I'll have a better idea of what you're studying or going to study if you're not a senior yet and I'll be able to help more." he tried to save himself. Raiden also noticed he was talking a lot but tried not to over think it. Talking was part of the job description of a tutor but it just plainly felt awkward for him in that moment.

Kaoru sat his phone down next to his plate as he ate breakfast with Kyoko. It was rare for them to get this meal together so he decided to enjoy it. Usually their busy schedules took this luxury from them. He swallowed his last bite when his phone started buzzing. He glanced over, but it was just Arietta accepting his friend request. He smiled to Kyoko, but it was weak. One look outside reminded him that today was Varthur's funeral. The clouds and the upset winds.. It was the perfect reaction to yesterday's events. Even nature was against his untimely death. Kaoru eventually sighed as he grew depressed, remembering he'd have to rent another suit.. The second one within a year's time. He pushed his plate away from him as he listened to Kyoko talk about her college classes and her exams, though he was only half paying attention. How was he supposed to concentrate when a boy he knew died before he even got to finish high school? It just wasn't fair..

He stood, putting his plate in the sink before waving to Kyoko. She however quickly grabbed the boy's wrist before it was too late. The brunette put a few bills in his hand before letting go, "Did you forget, Kao-chan? I told you I'd give you some money to buy the family some flowers." She shook her head, "You're so air headed." She teased him, waving him off.

"See you later, Kyo-chan." He waved goodbye one last time before leaving the house, walking down the street to a flower shop, which he missed Ryou and Mai at by about an hour, tops. He quickly bought two white bouquets and made his way to the nearest rental store. He grabbed the same suit he wore to his Grandmother's funeral and tried it on, scoffing as he realized it still fit him perfectly. He threw some of his own cash down this time at the girl working there before walking out of there as well.

-Buzz- ... -Buzz- ... -Buzz-

"Okay, sounds coo00ool. I'm making my way to Varthur's funeral atm... :("

Kaoru read the message shortly after pulling his vibrating phone from his suit pocket. The message was sent a long time ago, perhaps shortly after he'd messaged her, but his 3G just registered the message. He quickly unlocked his phone, responding quickly. So she's going too? At least I'll know someone there... He thought disconsolately to himself. Despite the comfort of knowing he wouldn't be among strangers should have been, nothing seemed to shake his mood once he caught a glimpse of his reflection.

"Glad to have you on board. I'm headed there too.. My cousin insisted I buy flowers, but I don't find the gift appropriate.. ._. See you there."

-Buzz- ... -Buzz- ... -Buzz-

"Hey, I don't know where the funeral is... directions..?? I can also arrange a car pool if you want to go as well.."

Kaoru's blue eyes blinked at the message. He'd seen Varthur walk home before, so he knew where he lived, but he wasn't sure how to explain it to Arietta. He then noticed it was a group chat. Jonathan was in the chat too, so he just messaged back, "I'll explain the directions. Are all three of us going?" He asked, not bothering to flirt with her when given the chance. In all honesty he didn't really feel like smiling at all.. let alone putting the moves on anyone. He wasn't even sure if he'd be able to shake his sadness by the time he got to the arcade. He hoped he could, for the sake of the evening everyone planned. His blue hair waved gently in the wind as he awaited an answer... from any of the three really. messaging Momo, and having a group chat with Jonathan and Arietta was a bit confusing, especially since he dreaded today's first event. He really didn't want to see Varthur in a coffin. He'd seen far too many people he cared about in those god forsaken decorative boxes.

Mai

His voice and expression were so kind; it made the small girls stomach flutter. It was an odd sensation for her to experience for she never really received such kindness especially from strangers. It must be because we're strangers. Had it been Raiden Mai knew she wouldn't feel funny but she never expected her cousin to be incredibly kind, just enough to not hurt her feelings, at least Mai hoped so.

Taking back the grocery list when Ryou pointed to the direction of the market for a brief moment she thought he was only going to tell her. Almost ready to panic she realized he was walking away which meant he was leading the way. A small smile on her lips she had to jog a short distance to catch up to him. Looking up at him Mai was thankful he had slowed his pace but she also felt bad for making him do this. I must thank him later, but how.

Ryou was kind enough to tell her where they were going as well as pointing out the landmarks that would help her. Nodding along with his words Mai made sure to store all the information for later use. For the most part they didn't come across much trouble and soon they arrived at the market. Mai had hoped it wouldn't be so busy but it was a false hope. Considering the large crowd of people walking this way and that Mai saw Ryou's hand swinging at his side and was tempted to grab it for support. However the idea of grabbing a stranger’s hand let alone a man's hand that wasn't Raiden seemed outright terrifying to her.

Stepping closer to her giant guide Mai was ready to answer when someone called out his name. It turned out to be an elderly woman who made Mai relax slightly. Elderly people somehow calmed Mai down, she preferred their company over anyone else’s. Startled slightly at the fact that the elder woman, who she guessed was Fuwa-san by the way Ryou called her, asked her the same question Ryou did. Mai blushed at being called cute and missy and it was surprisingly obvious too despite her skin tone.

Averting her eyes from Fuwa-san Mai dug into her coat pocket and pulled out the list. Getting closer to the woman Mai handed the lady the list, "Ah I-I j-just n-ne-ed a f-few c-coo-king i-in-gred-ients." The elderly woman smiled at Mai's stutter and took the list from her small hand. "Oh I see well then you can already cross off something’s. You'll find what you're looking for right here." She said pointing to her own stand. Mai smiled back shyly and looked around for what she needed. The way she went about it most certainly would make them question her age. Mai examined the meat as if she had done this many times before. Taking a few things Mai had her selection of meats and so she paid Fuwa-san.

The next items on the list were seasoning and spices, vegetables, fruit and some cleaning supplies. After an hour or more passed Mai's money was just about spent but she got what she needed. Carrying quite a few bags Mai made it known that she wasn't as weak she looked. Even Ryou had to carry one or two bags which made Mai feel bad, however that feeling of guilt was overrun pride knowing she got what she came here for. They stepped away from the bustling market and to a somewhat quieter section of the area. Focusing her attention on Ryou Mai glanced away as she had been doing for the most part of their trip to the market. “T-Thank y-you f-fo-or c-com-ming w-with m-me, b-but I-I m-mus-st g-go ho-ome n-no-ow.” In saying so Mai thought of reaching for the bags he carried but she decided against it least he physically stopped her from doing so. They had enough physical contact during introductions as well as when she was bustled about in the markets crowd.

"I might as well..."

Not helpless as he thought she was. Ryou watched Mai with keen interest. He thought he might need to intrude in some of her shopping or even provide insightful tips once in a while. There was no need for that at all. Mai seems very familiar with the things she wants to buy. It was quite impressive in his opinion especially from a kid like her. He still thinks she is around the age of his little brother. It seems that kids nowadays are smarter. That's a good sign for the future really. Back to the topic, he accompanied her throughout the market. He was more like a bodyguard making sure that she was not lost among the sea of people, taken advantage of, and would even haggle for some of the prices on her list. It was something he had learned from his Aunt. One must always find ways to save money of course.

The rest of the shopping trip went without a hitch. It was relatively peaceful and relaxing in a sense for him. There were a few who would approach him and start small talks. He casually ended it before anything would start. It's a good thing they aren't persistent as those who always come at Paradiso, so he could say well, that it was not much of a trouble. He didn't want to involve Mai in it because someone just finds him attractive or something along those lines. Speaking of which, it seems that they had everything on her list. He was once again impressed that she could carry more than one shopping bag. She was not weak as she appears which reminded him never to judge a book by its cover. He did took the some of the heavier shopping bags, but didn't took it all. She seems to take pride in the things she does on her own. This is from his observations and so, he would not take that from her. They were soon in the area of the market where there are little people.

She then thanked him and stated that she has to go home. That was a given. His concerns were the shopping bags she has to carry. She is stronger than she seemed but, it would be a bit hard to walk back to her home or even by commute by herself. He was about to speak when--- "Nii-chan! Nii-chan!" His attention was instantly taken as he looked at the direction behind them. There his Aunt, Trixie, and Hikaru were walking towards him, well the latter was sprinting. "Hikaru..." The little boy instantly latched onto his legs and looked up at him happily. "Nii-chan! I'm so happy to see you! Did you come and see us?" Hikaru asked brightly that was then he noticed shopping bags on his big brother's arms and then there was another person with white hair near Ryou.

Anyone could tell right away that Hikaru and Ryou were brothers because of their facial similarities. It also means that Hikaru will grow into a handsome man as well, the difference he has the bright golden eyes. "Ryuu-nii!" This time a tad bit taller than Hikaru latched to his other leg. It was none other than his cousin Trixie who had long blonde hair and green eyes. She was a year older than his brother. "Trixie..." He noted. This is something he had anticipated. There was a chance he would bumped into them. "This is a surprise, Ryou-kun. Aren't you supposed to be at work?" And there was his Aunt Margarette whom Trixie clearly took after. She then took note of a white-haired girl beside his nephew. "Oh, who is this lovely friend of yours?"

Ryou took this chance to properly start the introduction. He did wonder if Mai was bothered by the sudden appearances of his family. She did appear not to be too good with people unless she was focused in what she was doing. "Aunt Margarette, I just took a break. This is Mai. She got lost in front of the shop, so I offered my help." He stated as he glanced towards Mai and then he did the same thing to his family. "Mai, I want you to meet my Aunt Margarette." His Aunt gave a small wave and kind smile on her face. It was apparent that she was not Japanese at all. "Hello Mai..." Ryou then proceeded to introduce the two kids who were still latching on his legs. "This is my little brother, Hikaru." The said boy simply gave a nod of a head and then tightened his grip on his brother's pants. "And this is my cousin, Trixie." She was different from Hikaru. Trixie released Ryou's leg and went towards Mai with a bright smile. "Nice to meet you!"

Margarette than looked at the shopping bags Ryou and Mai were carrying. "Are you done with shopping?" Ryou gave a nod at this. "Yes." He then asked his own question. "How about you?" Margarette shook her head as the kids looked away a bit ashamed at this. He could already guess. They probably stopped by the toy store and got caught up with that. "Ryou-kun, sweetie why don't you help Mai here with her bags to her house? Would it cause you problems at work though?" Hikaru was about to say something about that. He didn't want his brother to go. Ryou noticed this and patted his head. "I'll be back soon. See you at home." Hikaru nodded happily at this. "Okay, Nii-chan." He released his brother's leg. "I already had it covered Aunt Margarette." He then looked towards Mai. "So, where are we off to?"

"Is this really necessary, Miss Kim?"
"Yes... I won't have it any other way."
Atsushi frowned at his mistress' idea but as the limousine driver, his expression was out of her view as they talked through a hardwired intercom system. Devone also recently had a tendency to cut him off anyway if he ever talked too much. Meanwhile, Devone looked out the window with her hands cupping her chin, leaning forward as she continued to be deep in thought about her zombie nightmare. It still troubled her. She was by no means superstitious, but maybe it was a bad omen of things to come. She had begun to look into the cause of her mother's passing and there was no telling what she would uncover. Devone didn't believe that her mother committed suicide at all but even if she was correct, it didn't lighten the news or necessarily make things any better.

The limousine halted out of town by long stairs leading up to an old but well maintained shrine. "Are you sure this is where you want to learn? There's nobody around. It's probably not that popul--" Atsushi said dubious while opening the door for his employer as she stepped out, cutting his words off with a hot tempered tone. "I booked it for the day and it's the best of the best." she glared at him for doubting her better judgement as a bead of nervous sweat dropped down the side of his forehead. "I can't rely on you forever you know. This is something I have to do." Devone stated matter-of-factly before looking away with her arms folded, nose to the air with a pompous air about her. "Alright." Atsushi let the topic slide with a subtle smile on his face as Devone had clearly made up her mind. They started to walk up the steps, with Devone a little further ahead as usual. It was only suitable for the pair and their standing arrangement. She was the master and he was the loyal dog at her beck and call.

A long silence had come between them until, "Miss Kim?" "What?" Devone snapped, appearing irritated but Atsushi continued to voice his thoughts to her. "Are you suggesting the need for this has come... because you are planning to let me off the leash?" Devone not once looking back started to chuckle under her breath, flicking strands of hair over her shoulder in a lady-like manner as she continued walking. "Don't be ridiculous." She smirked with a shrug. "I still have some use for you. This is simply a--" They had reached the top and witnessed the shrine in all its glory. It was big, beautiful and fancier than most other shrines due to generous donations to keep it afloat. "--a precaution." Devone completed her sentence as Atsushi opened the double doors for her to go through. A shrine maiden noticing their presence greeted them from inside. "Ah, you must be--" "That's right, Kim." Devone cut the woman off and walked right past her uncaring.

Devone only stopped walking when she reached who she was looking for in a room further in. "You must be the head honcho now." she smirked with folded arms as she stood in front of a man only a few years older than her whose built made his strength undeniable. "Ha, I never thought I'd see the day I train a Kim." The man laughed in her face but Devone took it as a challenge that fed her smirk further. "It is really out of the blue... but don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're a female." He warned as he turned around to retrieve his gear. "Of course, I expect nothing less from you Arata." Devone spoke confidently, barely managing to catch the wooden sword he had tossed over suddenly. "Eh?" She looked at the stick confusedly, waving it around in front of her with her knees knocked together. "What is this? Seriously?" she whined with her eyes closed in the most childish display. Arata sighed. "This is going to be a longgg lesson."

"This time, I do not mind."

Image
Initially, Aeon had decided to leave as soon as the flat-rate discussion with his Father is done. Instead, he was now donned in a traditional black kimono matched by a tabi and a zōri. Andrew had been persistent saying that as a Shirokami, he must dressed as one in the Main House. He would have not relented if Brinx was not thrown in the mix. To him, it was inconsequential, though, he could notice the light blushes staining the faces of the servants who saw him, especially the females.

In any case, he began to trail to the meeting he had with his Father. Personally, he believed that a written message would have sufficed for the topic they had talked about. It was the usual trend, brief and concise, no different from those message cards being delivered to him. Well, he did not expect anything more than that. It was the nature of relationship he has with his Father, pure business. To that man, he is more of a tool than a son from his own flesh and blood. It was the same for him. He is a Father by blood and as written in his birth certificate.

His thoughts were disrupted when his cell phone alerted him with a message. He took a look and saw it came from Cassiopeia. The woman he will marry in the near future. Yes, that is what his and her family believe should happen. Judging by his Father's action, he could notice a bit of wariness. It was probably because in the past he would have turned it down by hook or by crook. But now, he was accepting of this arrangement. Perhaps, it is why the announcement had been hasten in the part of his Father of course. He was certain a different reason was behind the Argyris Duke's, Cassiopeia's father, insistence.

Reading the text message, his expression softened for a subtle amount. She was telling him to take it easy and to extend her greeting to Brinx and Andrew. It was nice thought, but he also could see the underlying meaning why a message was sent. “I will tell Brinx and Andrew. I am fine and you will as well. Be careful on your way. I will see you soon." He replied. It was clear to him that she was probably in need of an assurance that everything will be fine as she was on her way to Varthur Laurence's funeral. A fellow student at Airdalen, someone he barely recalls about. Death is inevitable and that is really there is to it.

“Oniisama! I will be practicing Kendo too!" Aeon returned to his current reality and the main reason why he still lingered at the Main House. It was to be with his little brother who was also wearing a kimono much similar to his. “Otousama approved of it! I can't wait to be as good as you!" Brinx stated happily as he walked beside his brother with a skip in his steps. Andrew was trailing closely behind the two as he added another fact to Brinx's statement. “It is a good thing that the school which Brinx-sama will be attending has a Kendo Club."

Brinx nodded happily at that. “I'm going to attend school too like you and Oneechan!" He was really excited for the opening of the new school semester. “That is good to hear. But." Aeon paused in mid-sentence which prompted for Brinx to stop as well from walking. He placed a hand on his little brother's head and looked at him with sincere gentleness. “Do these things because you like them. Not because of anyone else, including me. Do you understand?" Brinx took in his brother's words by heart and nodded with renewed vigor. “I do!" Aeon nodded in satisfaction and soon, they reached the main gardens. Brinx immediately went to the impressive koi pond and began to look at the fishes. This place does bring memories close to Aeon. It was one of his mother's favorite spot as to speak.

“Aeon-sama, may I ask? Was the message from Oujo-sama (Cassiopeia)?" Andrew had noticed the light expression his Master had upon reading the text message. There are very few people who could elicit such a response and currently, it could only be done by three in total, His Master's mother, Sophia, his brother, Brinx, and his betrothed, Cassiopeia. Aeon did not glance at Andrew and simply maintained his focus on Brinx who was by the pond. “Yes. She asked me to tell you and Brinx hi." Andrew had a small smile on his lips in understanding. “The engagement party will be held next week." Aeon continued as he finally glanced at Andrew. It was to be expected that the party will be attended by highest people in society and without doubt they will come. After all, it is a party hosted by the Shirokami and the Argyris. It would be a great opportunity to establish rapport with such prominent families.

“I will handle the invited guests." Andrew knew that his Master does not want anyone from the Airdalen to know about his identity as a Shirokami, by principle. But, it would be a bit hard to do so as some of Airdalen's students are from the upper echelons. Regardless, he will do his best to maintain his Master's anonymity. Aeon gave a curt nod and added an unrelated matter. “Do brush up on your skills at Go-Fish." After saying that, Aeon went closer to Brinx. Earlier, they played a card game and the greatest loser was no more than Andrew. As for Andrew, he had a very remorseful look. Moreover, his face was currently drawn with various markings from a black marker. It was his penalty, moreover, his Master had noticed that he was not losing deliberately. He completely sucked at it.

“Oniichan, can I feed a koi?" The innocent question of presented to Aeon who was now by his brother's side. It is true that he would have to put appearances again even more so at the engagement party. However, he does not mind as long as Brinx was spared. “Of course, Andrew." Hearing his name, Andrew immediately stepped forward gathering the feed in a hurry. “Coming!" Well, this had turned out into a relaxing day at the very least... This is of course, Aeon's opinion.

Akira had an amused look on her face as she awaited his response. The fact that he slept in the library at least put her somewhat at ease. He wasn't going to be a total ass like some of the tutors she'd had in younger grades. She leaned back in her chair as she let him wake up fully and she shrugged a bit, "You must be really busy to be that tired." She commented with a small smile.

"Right, sorry."

She tilted her head confused as he apologized. He's saying he's sorry for falling asleep. It wasn't like she had been waiting on him or anything. Besides he woke up the first time she tried to wake him up. She couldn't fault him for anything. Besides who gave free trials anyway? Most people wanted paid upfront the first session. She noticed his almost Doctor-level organization, writing things down almost like her psychologist did back in Britain. She nodded at him, chewing on the inside of her cheek. She toyed around with the sleeves of her sweater as she awaited something studying related to be said. She wasn't really sure what to do or say, despite having several tutors before this. Most of them just snatched her homework and put the answers in for her, others were just really condescending and cruel when she decided to ask questions they deemed "pointless" or "stupid". Though he didn't seem as cocky or rude as her previous tutors. Though she didn't want to interrupt... whatever it was he was writing.

"Raiden. As you know, I'll be your tutor this session. Thanks for coming."

She was a bit surprised after he accepted her handshake, seeing as she realized afterwards it wasn't as common in Japan. She facepalmed right afterwards, "Sorry about that.. I just moved here last year from Britain.. I'm still adjusting." She mentally scolded herself, seeing as her sudden handshake probably made him uncomfortable. Western culture was far more invasive than eastern cultures.. But Akira wasn't exactly studious when it came to customs, "I'm such a prat.." the last part was whispered, and not intentionally spoken. It wasn't so quiet that it was impossible to hear, but she was hoping his attention was divided enough to have missed her moment of bullying herself. Her brown eyes raised to the desk however and she continued to fiddle with the sleeves of her purple sweater. It was a distraction from how awkward the situation was, but when she truly thought about it, there wasn't really a real reason she could come up with for it to be so... weird. They were just studying. What was so weird about trying to better one's education? She saw a lot strange about it as a teenager, but in all honesty she wouldn't mind being one of those snobbish doctors who were always painfully right about everything.

"Do you know which of these topics you'll be covering this semester in advance? These are the usual in each school I assume... Also, any chance you brought sample homework? Just so I have a better understanding of areas you need help with. Otherwise, just let me know and I'll do my best to assist you."

Akira's rationalization went to hell the moment the actual "tutoring" began. A sweat bead fell down her face as she listened to Raiden prepare for the first lesson. Sample homework was the only thing she actually was prepared for. She did have her class schedule.. but she wasn't sure if that was helpful information or useless in this case.. Their classes hadn't been entirely educational as of yet what with the elections, the senior-junior events, and the field trips.. Hopefully what she took pictures of with her phone would be helpful enough. She quickly dug her phone out of her pocket once more. Phone here

"I have pictures of homework I did towards the end of last year... We haven't really gotten much done since it's the first week of school.. I also have a picture of my class schedule... If any of that helps." If there was any homework given the first week, Akira sure as hell didn't remember it.. aside from the homework she'd done for herself and Silas.. and that was still ungraded.

"You're an Airdalen student, correct? I hear their entrance exams are tough..."

She nodded her head at his question, handing him her phone so he could look over the pictures of past homework and her current schedule, kind of embarrassed about the little penguin charm connected to it now that she thought about others seeing it. He probably thought she was weird for having it, but she loved penguins. Ever since her first trip at the zoo with her.. She instantly shook the thought, replying back to Raiden before she got thoughts that would be too painful, "Yeah. I barely scraped enough to earn a scholarship, but here I am. I'm still not sure how I managed it."

"I'm going to be studying there myself come Monday... To clarify, by then I'll have a better idea of what you're studying or going to study if you're not a senior yet and I'll be able to help more."

Her eyes widened a bit, biting her bottom lip after he confessed. You passed the exams, that's how you know how difficult they are. She stared a few moments, a childish pout forming on her face. Though her pout was forgotten shortly after, when she realized she hadn't mentioned her grade, "I'm a senior there. I guess we'll be having the same classes." His nervousness was clearly going over her head. She was entirely oblivious to his discomfort. After her initial mental response to his attractiveness, she reminded herself, albeit several times in her head, that this was simply business to ease her mindset. So far it was working rather well, she wasn't going to screw it up by thinking too hard on anything in the conversations.. She had enough going on in her head already.

Mai

Tilting her head upwards Mai risked looking at him in the eye. Upon doing so it seemed like she was startled from such a simple action but it could also be from the sudden child-like voice calling out. "Nii-chan! Nii-chan!" Ryou turned around immediately while Mai peered around him to see a child springing towards them. Frightened at the incoming body Mai stepped back slightly but it seemed she needn’t worry in the least bit. The small girl heard a name being muttered but she didn’t quite catch it. The boy latched himself to Ryou’s leg "Nii-chan! I'm so happy to see you! Did you come and see us? the boy pestered Ryou with questions. Considering Ryou was being called Nii-chan Mai guessed that the two were siblings unless Ryou was simply like a brother figure to the smaller boy.

When she thought about it she really couldn’t call him a smaller boy since she wasn’t much taller than he was. The two looked very similar to one another so she ditched the idea of Ryou being a brother-figure. The only difference between the two of them was that the boy had golden eyes unlike his brothers grey ones. I wonder if he’ll become just as tall. The very idea made Mai’s head hurt, she certainly wouldn’t want to look up at another Ryou. Then again if she grew height wise as well as body then Mai assumed she wouldn’t have to worry too much about looking up. Realizing her train of thought made it seem like she and Ryou would see each other beyond today. Of course that was unlikely in her view.

Then another child latched onto Ryou’s legs but it was a young girl with blonde hair and green eyes. Tilting her head slightly Mai wasn’t sure what her connection was to Ryou as they didn’t look very much alike. This is a surprise, Ryou-kun. Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Glancing at Ryou she felt bad again for having taken him away from his work. He could get fired for all I know. Looking to the source of the voice Mai couldn’t help but stare in awe of the woman’s beauty. Mai then realized the blonde girl looked very much like the one who had just spoken. "Oh, who is this lovely friend of yours?"

Knowing that the attention was now centered on her Mai ducked her head allowing for her hair to fall over her face. A light blush covered her cheeks at the praise in the woman’s curiosity. I’m getting all sorts of compliments today. Mai thought it a bit ironic really considering just the other night she criticized her scrawny body. To the older woman it seemed like Ryou and her were friends but Mai wasn’t so sure. Friends weren’t easy to come by for Mai but then she remembered Cassiopeia and how the similarly white haired girl called Mai her friend. Aunt Margarette, I just took a break. This is Mai. She got lost in front of the shop, so I offered my help. Nodding her head along to his words Mai seemed lost again but it was more so the lost kind that occurred when a conversation was going on around you.

Ryou then introduced the three new people to her. Aunt Margarette greeted Mai while his brother gave her a nod. When he got to his cousin, Trixie stepped over to Mai who in response stepped back slightly at the bright greeting. “H-Hell-o.” offering them a shy smile and a small wave. After the greetings Mai didn’t pay much attention to the conversation but then it was centered on her again. Ryou-kun, sweetie why don't you help Mai here with her bags to her house? Would it cause you problems at work though? Once again Mai was startled this time by the idea of having to take a guy to her home, or more precisely Raiden’s home. What if he’s still there? The small girl began to panic a bit but forced herself to calm down by nibbling on her finger. Ryou wasn’t against the idea and Mai certainly didn’t have the courage to say no, she never had in the past but she was working on it.

"So, where are we off to?" Looking away for a moment Mai pointed in the direction of her home. All they needed to do was head in the same direction she came through. Putting the grocery bags down Mai wrung her hands for a brief moment before picking them up again and walking towards home. It looked a bit awkward for Mai to carry so many bags but the girl herself was used to it. “Ah t-th-is w-way.” she mumbled quietly to Ryou. Mai wasn’t quite aware of the fact that he may not have heard her but that was fine. She mumbled a few more times as they walked but it was quietly. Finally they reached the entrance to the apartments.

Mai stood where she was glancing around as she tried to figure out whether to take Ryou to the apartment door or if she should just take the bags now. With her back to him Mai’s face scrunched up in thought. Suddenly turning to face Ryou Mai stumbled back a bit but managed to stay on her feet. “Ah I-I c-can t-take i-it fr-om h-here.” Not once did she look at Ryou but before she could reach for the bags he carried a voice called out along with the appearance of an old woman. Looking up through her bangs Mai saw that it was the old woman who lived one floor down from her and Raiden. A look of worry crossed her face for Mai did not want to interact with people any further. That and this woman often had stuck her nose in her business from time to time. When she first moved in with Raiden the old lady thought he had gotten himself a girlfriend and Mai nearly had a nervous breakdown or so that’s how she felt from the embarrassment of it all.

Today was no different from back then or any of the other times. It seemed the old woman had a knack for doing so at just the wrong moments. Seeing Ryou with bags and Mai with bags she quickly came to the conclusion that Ryou was someone close to Mai but wasn’t family nor friend. A playful smile appeared on the old lady’s face along with a blush at the thoughts going through her head. Mai groaned inwardly dreading the words that were to be spoken by the old lad. [b] “Oh how cute having your man go shopping with you. Oh I remember the good ‘ol days with my man. Say handsome be a gentlemen and help this young lady to her apartment, keep her company if you’d like.” Her tone of voice hinted towards other things and after the old lady went on her way Mai was shaking. Not out of anger, well maybe a bit, but out of embarrassment.

It was like her childhood years after she moved away from Raiden were occurring all over again. A furious blush covered her skin and it seemed Mai was on the verge of tears. Biting her lip hard Mai looked away from Ryou. “Um I-I’ll t-take t-those b-bags n-now.” She wasn’t sure if Ryou was feeling embarrassed or differently but the old ladys words would have hinted towards Mai’s actual age. Mai didn’t want to look at Ryou for fear of what would occur but she hoped he’d take it all as a joke. In a way Mai liked the fact that he thought she was just a kid, it made things a bit easier knowing he didn’t see her as a woman, not that she looked much like one. Oh what have I gotten myself into? I just had to get lost.

"It always goes that way, don't they get tired of it?"

Ryou heard Mai without much of a hindrance. He had always been the kind to hear everything that a person he is with. "We'll be going then." It was much like, he always pays attention to them. He then turned his back on them but not before giving them a small wave. "Be careful you two!" Aunt Margarette called after them while HIkaru and Trixie waved their hands with such energy. Ryou looked over his shoulder as a form of saying see you later and then, they were retracing their steps to Mai's house.

The walk was mostly silent. She did mumble which sometimes he could notice by the way she acts. He would ask her what's wrong. Their conversation usually starts from that. It was fine by him. This was a nice change from the busy flower shop where everything starts with Kyaa! Kyaaa!. It was downright annoying and damaging to the eardrums, so an escape from that was a welcome thing. Time passed by and they were soon at her house which is actually an apartment. They stopped at the entrance and he glanced at her. He could tell that she was thinking about something. He does have an idea what it could be as she opted to end their shopping trip with her taking the bags in his possession.

It was stopped mid-way as an elderly woman assumed and piped in between them. She believed that he was Mai's boyfriend or something along those lines. Does this lady have cataracts or something? It would be a crime for him to do that. It would be considered pedophilia and that is a crime. He does admit that he does reckless things which would be warrant illegal but not to the point of those kind of things. He was about to say something but decided against it as he noticed that Mai was more bothered about it than him and the old lady was soon out of their sights. It was better not to make a bigger scene about it. "Mai, I'll take these bags to your door." He stated as he did not relent his hold on the bags and really it would not be that hard against her.

"See it as my apologies for letting you be put on spot like that." He was either naturally dense or he was truly certain that Mai was just a kid and the old lady was just that, old with blurry eyesight. He followed Mai to her apartment door where he placed it at the foyer when the door was opened. He then stepped away from the door. This was as far as he would go. He was not the kind to intrude and seeing that she had reached her limit for interaction due her introvert qualities, this was fine. "I'll be going now." He prepared himself to leave but not before remembering something. "If you need anything, just drop by at Paradiso." He noted with his casual air. His features softened a bit, but just a bit. "You did good today, Mai." He sincerely said that as praise should be given when it's due. This was more of about her interactions than the actual grocery shopping but it could also be interpreted that way.

"See you around then." He then took his leave and was soon out of the area as he returned to his work at the Flower Shop.

Mai

"Mai, I'll take these bags to your door.” Mai flinched just the slightest and gave him a meek no of the head. Picking up her bags Mai quickly went to the door of their apartment and set her bags back on the floor. Digging into her pocket Mai pulled out the house key and with a small jingle of the lock the door swung open to the reveal a small foyer. Stepping inside Mai walked in a short distance past the foyer and placed her bags down. Looking over her shoulder she saw that Ryou had stopped in the foyer and was placing his bags down. Turning to face him Mai dropped the key back into her pocket as she stared at him not sure of what to do. "I'll be going now.” Even if Ryou wasn’t aware of it something those words made things awkward but chose to ignore the feeling and nodded to his words.

Just as he was to leave Ryou spoke again making her turn back around to listen. "If you need anything, just drop by at Paradiso.” A light blush came to her cheeks. It was safe to say she had made a friend but it was unlikely that she’d ever go to him for help. Then again once could never tell until the moment arose. Looking up at him she saw that his features had softened slightly and she wonder if he was thinking of his brother when he looked at her. "You did good today, Mai." Mai’s head tilted slightly to the left a bit suspicious of his words. She wasn’t sure why he was praising her and she assumed it was because in his eyes she was just a kid who went shopping more or less on her own. Still despite the praise Mai said nothing. Once he left Mai wondered if she would ever come across him again. The idea was highly unlikely as she’d most likely just pass by Paradiso every time she went shopping. Plus Raiden would be with her the next time or so she hoped.

She didn’t like inconveniencing people, especially strangers, but since it was also Raiden’s food she didn’t think of it as inconveniencing him. With a tired sigh Mai set about to putting the groceries away and wondered what she’d make for dinner. Glancing at the clock she saw that it was nearly one in the afternoon. Was I gone for that long? After the groceries were put away she noticed Raiden wasn’t home which meant he was tutoring that girl he had been talking to the night before. Shrugging her shoulders Mai went back to the kitchen for the leftover from last night to eat for lunch. With all the walking she had done Mai hadn’t realized she had worked up quite the appetite.

After lunch Mai washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Once she was done with that she found herself standing in the center of the apartment wondering where in the apartment she’d clean first. Deciding the living room to be the best choice Mai got the cleaning supplies and got to work. Eventually she got around to the majority of the apartment and every now and then she had trouble due to her short stature. The small girl glanced at the clock wondering when her cousin would be back. She wanted to get the apartment clean and there were places she could reach and areas, or rather an area, she could not venture in which was Raiden’s room.

Frowning Mai put away the cleaning supplies and peeked into his room. Upon doing so she immediately stepped back and scurried to her room. I’ll just leave it to him to clean. Looking around her room Mai realized she didn’t have much stuff inside that really made it hers. Going to her desk Mai shuffled through the doors and thought about maybe writing a letter to her mother. Happy with this she took what she needed and went to the living room to work. After the majority of the letter was done her hand was cramping and she was tired. Yawning Mai leaned back from where she sat and climbed into the small sofa they had. Hugging once of the decorative pillows close to chest Mai closed her eyes and was soon sound asleep.

Raiden had an uneasy look on his face as soon as his newest pupil Akira shared that she was a foreigner. It was pretty obvious from her appearance alone, but it was different being told so especially now that he was wide awake. It also explained her unique accent. I haven’t tried tutoring a foreigner before but on a positive note, that kind of excuses her from whatever difficulties she’s experiencing studying here. It can’t be easy to adjust to a whole new language and culture. What made the situation more humorous was when he noticed Akira sweating a bit at about the same time he started looking uneasy.
"I have pictures of homework I did towards the end of last year... We haven't really gotten much done since it's the first week of school.. I also have a picture of my class schedule... If any of that helps."
Raiden nodded, glancing to the side for a moment to avoid eye contact while rubbing the back of his head. Maintaining eye contact with a female for extended periods of time eventually felt uncomfortable for him. “Yeah sure, that’s understandable. I can work with that.” He returned his attention to the task at hand when she handed him her cellphone, reaching out slowly to make sure he only touched the phone alone. When he sat back down properly to look it over, he couldn’t help but stare at the dangling charm for a while. It looked awfully familiar but he couldn’t figure it out for the life of him. Setting the thought aside, he raised no comment to Akira about it. Raiden reasoned it was normal for girls to have cute charms on their phones. It made him wonder if Mai had one actually since he hadn’t seen her take out a phone at all during her stay at his household.

"Yeah. I barely scraped enough to earn a scholarship, but here I am. I'm still not sure how I managed it." He scrolled down the phone screen to read some of her homework answers only to feel a sense of hopelessness. It just seemed to be getting worse the further he read downwards. Akira wasn’t kidding or being modest when she used the word ‘scraped’. “Ah, alright. Well, algebra is a definite problem but most people I tutor experience difficulty in that area too so don’t fret.” Even though I am really fretting that this may be a hopeless endeavour and for fuck’s sake, did she really get an answer of 457.8 instead of 7 on this question?
He kept his thoughts to himself but on the outside, his emotionless gaze was slowly crumbling and giving way that something was wrong. It became pretty noticeable when he dropped the phone on the table and his lips started twitching as he tried to control himself from saying anything. If Akira was a male, he would have voiced out his concerns right then and there but he was dealing with a female who he believed to be more of the emotional sort. He couldn’t just burst out as he would with his buddies. Instead of saying anything, he resorted to placing his elbow on the desk and facepalming. At the very least, she was a senior. She had to have gotten that far somehow. She’s a girl and a foreigner. At least, she’s a foreigner. Maybe that’s why she’s so bad at Maths…

“That’s great, really great. I don’t know anyone at Airdalen besides Mai, my cousin but she’s in junior year.” Raiden spoke in a strained tone before finally retracting his palm from his face and resuming being his normal self. He sighed and just had to warn her, “I’m not sure how to put this… but at this rate, I don’t think you’ll be able to pass the senior finals.” Before allowing her room to respond in case what he said could be considered harsh, he continued. “So, you’re going to really have to work hard for this and try not to skip classes. Have you been skipping any?” It was a hunch.
His cellphone started vibrating in the middle of their conversation on the desk but he ignored it, hoping that she would admit to having skipped classes because it would account for her homework's effort.

"Yeah sure, that’s understandable. I can work with that.”

She ran a hand through her short, messy hair as a comforting mechanism and chewed on the inside of her cheek. She didn't notice his attempts at keeping an unspoken 'no touch policy', but Akira was always pretty oblivious with advances. Sure she made herself fairly forward at the beach excursion, but she was suffering the consequences now. The more she thought about her flirty, abrasive behavior, the more she felt like hiding her face in a book and never emerging. The great part, Raiden wasn't present. He wasn't aware of any of the horrors of that event, yet. He didn't know anything about her besides the fact she was, stupid. Incredibly stupid, academically speaking.

Thud.

"Sorry about the penguin... It was a gift..", Akira had begun to space out a bit, but the drop of the phone brought her back to reality. She was just so busy, thinking about work, sports, and school and the drama Devone brought to the table, not to mention her own mistakes. She had a lot to balance.. and she was fired from one of her jobs, because she was late yesterday. It wasn't going to break her financially, she was only working there three days out of the week.. but she wasn't going to have too much spending money to spare after Raiden's tutoring fee was taken from her remaining paycheck. Guess recreation is out of my agenda.. Studying, Sports, and School... If only 'work' started with an S... then I could call it the Quad-S.. She hesitantly grabbed her phone, used to his response by now. She was surprised that he didn't get up and leave, or shout. She could tell he was holding it in, mainly by the twitch of facial features.

“Ah, alright. Well, algebra is a definite problem but most people I tutor experience difficulty in that area too so don’t fret. That’s great, really great. I don’t know anyone at Airdalen besides Mai, my cousin but she’s in junior year.”

She smiled a bit, "I had a rough time in school after my parents died... But on a more positive note, Most everyone at Airdalen is nice.. but there are those who like to tear others down for their own amusement.." She was mostly speaking about Devone, but she didn't want to name any names. She'd let him figure it out on his own. She wasn't going to warn anyone else... Kei never believed her so what was the point? She wasn't going to waste her breath on deaf ears.

“I’m not sure how to put this… but at this rate, I don’t think you’ll be able to pass the senior finals.”

The words stung, and she closed her eyes as she took them in. Sure she knew it deep down, but hearing the words spoken aloud definitely made everything a little more concrete. She took a quiet breath before opening her eyes again, nodding her head. She didn't cry, and she didn't get offended. It was her own fault she was sitting here. All of her bad choices after the accident were finally adding up, stockpiling themselves in front of her. She got so behind in her best subject and now she couldn't even understand how to approach it. Sure the accident was years ago, but it took four years just to locate her grandmother whom was living here, in Japan. She was living with her step-brother in Britain while he attempted to contact their grandmother. Meanwhile Akira was busy letting her life slip between her fingers. She felt like everything was going in slow motion since her fears became reality, but his next words were definitely played fast-forward in her head.

“So, you’re going to really have to work hard for this and try not to skip classes. Have you been skipping any?”

All motions stopped after it registered with her. She'd never even explained her behavior to Silas, let alone the guy standing before her. Though if he was going to tutor her, if he was going to help her pass her senior year she couldn't keep lying. He was already gracious enough to give her a free session. Her fingers gripped at the table as she kept her head down. How was she supposed to come clean to an absolute stranger? She hesitated, mostly because her voice wasn't complying with what her brain knew she had to do.

"If I tell you.. this has to remain a secret between us.." She said in a soft voice. It wasn't quite a whisper, but it was a little shaken. She finally made eye contact, chewing on her bottom lip, "I have a low immune system.. I get sick pretty easy and I don't want anyone to know. I'm in Track and also Gymnastics.. I didn't give my current doctor all of my medical records.. I removed everything that mentioned my low immune system and tendencies to get sick.. I want to be in sports and I still might switch to soccer or basketball in place of gymnastics.. I don't want to worry my friends any more than I already do.."

She released the table from her grip and kept her eyes low, "Not to mention there is a girl at the school hell bent on destroying me any way she can..." She mumbled, unsure if he could make out that part or not. Devone was the last person she wanted to know about her likeliness to get sick. She'd probably gnaw her own leg off to get her hands on items infected with the black plague and lock me in an empty classroom with them... She shivered at the thought, not well versed in the black death, obviously.

"Hey! Momo, are you going to Varther's funeral?"

Momo turned her attention to a familiar sounding voice and smiled instantly when she noticed it was her fellow classmate, Bishop. "Oh, hey Bishop!" She got up from the bus stop seat to run to his car window, preferring not to yell out the entire conversation. "Yes, that's right.." She bent over at the window slightly to be on eye-level, with her hands positioned on her knees. Being closer to the car, she glanced at the driver's seat too and waved politely. Looking over at Bishop again, her smile hadn't faded. He was looking pretty classy in a black suit.

"Lookin' good."

She complimented him, just as she felt her inside pocket where her phone was kept vibrate.

"Oh, hold on a tick."

Momo raised her index finger as if to say '1 minute' before taking out her phone to read the message, another from Kaoru.

"Glad to have you on board. I'm headed there too.. My cousin insisted I buy flowers, but I don't find the gift appropriate.. ._. See you there."

She sighed with an uneasy look on her face thinking over Kaoru's words. Thinking about it more, Kaoru did seem sort of close to Varthur. Those two were hanging out like peas in a pod during the beach excursion even though it looked funny with one boy being really tall and the other quite short in comparison. Momo wasn't sure what to message back and decided to give Kaoru some peace as she could always catch up with him at the funeral or afterwards anyway. She pocketed her phone again and as Bishop had offered a ride, her mother ran up to them.

"Ah Momo, there you are! I got quite a fright when I didn't see you--"

Her mother paused as she exchanged glances with her daughter before they both turned around to look at Bishop.

"Oh hello! I'm Momo's mother. You must be a classmate of hers? It's so comforting to know my daughter has settled into Airdalen well."

Momo started shifting her gaze uncomfortably, not because she thought or found her mother embarrassing though. She felt uncomfortable thinking over the words 'has settled into Airdalen well'. It just brought back memories of her past schooling that wasn't as pleasant at all.

"Is it okay if my mother and I both get a lift? Hehe..."

Momo asked nervously, not sure if Bishop's car had enough seats. It was hard to see who else was inside. Momo's mother and Momo herself, both smiled in a way that was almost identical.

Bishop Trander

Bishop perked up when his good friend Momo approached his car scooting closer to the window. When she arrived he smiled more seeing her lean so that they were eye level. "Yes, that's right. . . Lookin good." Bishop's face would get red as she complimented him. "Aahh, thank you." He glanced to his aunt giggling in the driver's seat of the car watching the two of them. Before he got a chance to invite her for a ride she had to answer her phone. "Oh, hold on a tick."

He would wait politely for her to be done his smile returning in full bloom when she looked to him. "Ah Momo, there you are! I got quite a fright when I didn't see you-- Oh hello! I'm Momo's mother. You must be a classmate of hers? It's so comforting to know my daughter has settled into Airdalen well." Bishop smiled to the older woman automatically assuming it was her mother, but maybe her sister? It was kinda hard to tell in Japan sometimes. "Hello! I'm Bishop, a classmate of Momo's. This is my Aunt, Musubi." "Hello~ a pleasure!" The dark haired woman waved to them with a happy smile. "And yes, me and Momo are good friends." His speech was genuine, although his Japanese had an accent to it. "My little nephew, perfecting his Japanese. He use to be much worse, it was so cute!" his aunt confided to Momo's mother. "MUSUBI~~!" Bishop groaned and blushed deeply glaring daggers at her. "Is it okay if my mother and I both get a lift? Hehe..." Bishop looked to Momo in the eyes and nodded. "I'd be happy to!" His aunt nodded with him and smiled. "Of course we are, it wouldn't be very gentlemanly of my nephew to say no~" "What? Why do you have to make it all about me?" He blinked and scooted over to allow Momo room to enter. "Oh nothing~." She would divert the conversation and begin to drive.

As soon as she took off Bishop's phone began to ring. "Oh, excuse me." He would turn to answer his phone finding Daniel's number on the screen. "Hello?" He would answer in English. During this time his aunt would begin to talk to Momo and her mother being friendly and getting to know them. If Bishop was paying attention he would be nervous however. His mother, aunt and grandmother loved fishing for information and finding out which girls he was talking to (or guys). No matter how many times he asked, they just wouldn't stop. They wouldn't suspect a thing, his aunt being an expert on keeping information about Bishop.

Daniel waited on the phone. Looking out the window, he could see the buildings of stores and restaurants passing by and merging into a single blur. "Hello?" Bishops voice jolted him out of his trance as his tongue scrambled to find a reply. "Ah Bishop! How are you doing this fine morning?" he waited for his cousin's (Bishop Trander) response before firing again. "Are you by chance occupied today?"

A smile had taken over the aristocrat's face, just like whenever he met someone in person. It was something his father had always taught him to do. Apparently smiling makes you look kinder, and also obliges the other to be nicer as well. Daniel had always taken interest in those sort of things, psychological facts and such. He had also found profiling rather fun as well, deducing how much a person makes annually or finding a personality trait with the glance at a man's watch. Caleb was rather good at that, maybe he should ask him about it sometime.

"I'll explain the directions. Are all three of us going?"

She quickly texted back, asking Kaoru for his location due to Jonathan mentioning he had his own way to the funeral. (OOC: Best thing I could come up with to excuse him from the conversation.)

While she waited for Kaoru's reply, Arietta proceeded in calling her family's driver, whom she wasn't quite fond of. He was never inappropriate with her, in fact it was quite the opposite, which is why she couldn't stand him. Despite her attempts since childhood, he's never once called her by her name. Hiroshi was far too formal with her, and saw through every bit of her deceit. Perhaps because he was always there to pick her up at her worst, or maybe it was because he served the family since before she was born, but everything about him irked her. She was the only one he was so professional around, other than her grandfather, and it bothered her to the point that she almost hated him.

When Hiroshi arrived, Arietta gave a weak smile before opening her own door as quickly as possible. She crawled inside and shut the door behind her, before Hiroshi had the chance to even remove his seat belt which earned her a frown from the blonde american. She rolled her eyes, reading Kaoru's next text with a sigh, "He's outside of a shop called 'Suit & Tie'.." She stated flatly, ushering for Hiroshi to drive off. He smirked, rolling the window down because Mr. Hakushiro hated smoking. It was the only taboo trait he revealed to Arietta, and a dangerous one at that. If she were to slip and tell her grandfather, Hiroshi would surely be fired. Why the little liar hadn't was beyond even her own understanding. She'd be rid of him within the blink of an eye, but for some reason it never crossed her lips.

It didn't take long for them to arrive outside the shop, and since she found a comfortable position against the window opposite of the door facing Kaoru, she allowed Hiroshi to do his job, and the blonde opened the door for the blue haired child, "How old are you kid? Are you even old enough to be in high school?" Hiroshi asked with a loud laugh and cocky grin, his American accent seeping through. Kaoru frowned at this and got up from the spot he was resting at, entering the car while muttering a few choice words. Of course they were incoherent, but still his anger was almost palpable.

Arietta smiled a bit, before running a hand through her hair, staring out the left side window in the back seat, "I know it is awkward, but please try to relax.. I'm not interested in you in the slightest... Kaoru." She sighed whimsically, "Also, don't mind Hiroshi. He's quite rude." She informed him, letting out a pleasant smile. Though this behavior was exhausting. The bubbly nature, her carefree attitude, none of it was truly the real Arietta. In fact, she'd been pretending so long, she was certain that she'd forgotten the girl who she truly used to be. By now she couldn't remember a time where lies didn't dominate her life.

...It's true that around that boy she didn't feel the need to tell her lies, but even so during school she still kept her safeguard of tales. She couldn't break the habit entirely, not even for him. Besides, he turned out to be like everyone else. He was using her, he stole that irreplaceable object, the last thing she had of her mother's. It was unforgivable and she'd never trust someone that way ever again. Even if she had to build her invisible social barriers a mile high... a thousand miles... she would never allow herself to be hurt that way, ever again.

"So were you close..? You and the Laurence boy?" She asked, handing the note Kaoru handed her to Hiroshi. The man read it for a moment, about to reply before Arietta interrupted him, refusing him another chance to speak freely, "The directions are all there Hiroshi. That will be all.."

She didn't speak again for the entire trip, and for some reason neither did Kaoru. Perhaps her cheerful behavior was out of place. I guess he was close to Varthur.. I bet my question was pretty invasive and insensitive.. but if I apologize now I might end up making things worse..

"My parents died before I was even a month old. They both were murdered in our house. It was pretty gruesome actually. I'm not good with funerals, so please excuse me if I've offended you." It was mostly true, but their cause of death was a lie. No one ever revealed how her parents met their untimely end. She just wanted to make Kaoru feel more awkward than she did, perhaps then he'd accept her apology. Just as she put Kaoru in the odd spot that her lie brought about, Hiroshi suddenly swerved, but thankfully it was right outside Varthur's house. His eyes lingered on Arietta through the rear-view mirror, glaring at the blonde. He knew the truth, he knew she was lying for her own benefit, but it wasn't his place to speak up about it.

"We're here. I'm sorry for your loss, Mr. Inoue." he spoke in a sharp tone, obviously irritated by something.

pcolor=#00BFFF]"Ready? Or do you need a moment to compose yourself?" She inquired as Hiroshi opened the door to her side of the car. She stepped out, adjusting her dress before staring at Varthur's home. The decorations gave it away, along with the crowd of people, "Sugoi.. Your friend was definitely living on the finer side of Japan's economy...." She breathed out before placing her phone in Hiroshi's hands, "It's too rude for me to carry that around inside. Wait outside for us, right here, Hiroshi." she demanded, before walking over to the sidewalk as Hiroshi opened Kaoru's door. She could tell from the look in Kaoru's uncertain eyes that this would be a long day.

It had been a rather quiet and smooth drive. This was to be expected with Hotaru manning the car. She had been born here and was well-versed with the roads in this country. Cassie, on the other hand, had looked at her phone when it played a tune indicating she received a text message. It was from Aeon and even if it was short and very much like him, this was enough to give her comfort. A faint blush was present on her cheeks which Hotaru noticed from the rear-view mirror. "Master Aeon certainly knows what to say, doesn't he?" Cassie heard this as she raised her head to meet Hotaru's gaze through the mirror. She happily nodded. “Yes! He really is a warm person.”

The conversation ended there and a more peaceful and comfortable atmosphere settled inside the car. This time she looked out the window and gazed at the scenery. Cassie could notice some of the people looking at the car since it would be impossible to her through the glass. Hotaru told her that it was a one-way mirror. It made her wonder if there was something special about the car (Rolls-Royce Phantom) she was riding. This was rather common for her as they had plenty back at her homeland. "We're here Elle." Her thoughts interrupted as she looked to the other side when the car finally came to a full stop. “So, this is where Varthur Laurence lived...”

Her comment was more to the fact she had never been here before than the amazement of mansion. She is after all used to such grandeur on various levels. "Are you ready?" Hotaru asked her gently to ensure she was prepared emotionally for such an event. Cassie took a deep breath and had a determined expression on her face. “I'm ready.” She must be strong since Aeon had even encouraged her. Hotaru smiled warmly at this and went out of the car. Then, she opened the one where Cassie could come out. “Thank you.” Hotaru nodded as Cassie stepped out. She wore a rather fashionable black victorian coat and black fabric ankle boots with wedge heels which sharply contrasted against her silver white hair and porcelain white skin. It makes her natural features stand out more and her beauty pronounced.

"Mr. Laurence had been informed of your attendance in advance. He has done business with the Duke before. So, you will be representing the Argyris Family not only as a fellow Senior at Airdalen." Cassie looked at Hotaru oddly as she doesn't understand why that should be done. Is that supposed to be a requirement or something? "I believed you might feel more at ease if you went with a reason. Since, you told me that you have not met or known Mr. Varthur personally." Cassie slowly caught on and slowly smiled in thanks. Hotaru was looking out for her again. “Thank you, Hotaru. You're the best.” Then, she finally remembered the flowers she had bought. “Oh, the flowers!” Hotaru stopped her from doing this. "It should be fine with this." Cassie looked at the silver and black envelope. “What's this?” She looked at it curiously as she took it.

"It is a custom here in Japan, condolence money." Cassie nodded in understanding as she is not familiar with the culture of this country despite studying. There are still some things she is unaware of. “What about the flowers?” She looked at Hotaru with her ruby red eyes. "They will be given another time." Cassie was not completely satisfied with that answer but let it be for now. “Okay.” Hotaru closed the door of the vehicle and made sure that everything was secured. "Shall we go?" Cassie's grip on the black and silver envelope tightened a bit before giving a stern nod. “Yes, let's go.”

The two of them began to walk towards the entrance as they passed by other two new arrivals. (Kaoru and Arietta) Cassie's appearance immediately stood out from the crowd of people and some recognizing her white hair and red eyes even offered polite greetings as she is one of the top elites in the society. But, she is seriously here to share in the grief of someone too soon to die.

"How old are you kid? Are you even old enough to be in high school?"

"Sixteen. What is your IQ, sir? Are you even smart enough to drive a car?" He shot back before sliding into the car beside Arietta, remaining silent until the blonde chose to unfortunately try to hold conversation with him. He closed his eyes to avoid offending her, but it was almost impossible due to her arrogance and ignorance towards his feelings.

"I know it is awkward, but please try to relax.. I'm not interested in you in the slightest... Kaoru. Also, don't mind Hiroshi. He's quite rude."

He twitched at this and instantly regretted getting in the car with her. How was Jonathan holding a conversation with such a conceited and naive girl? "I wasn't worried about that in the slightest. If you forgot, we're headed to a funeral. I've met ruder people in my life, I assure you.." He was referring to her, but attempted to keep it subtle..

"So were you close..? You and the Laurence boy?"

"We were friends. It wasn't a very long friendship, but we seemed to click rather fast. At least I hope he saw me in the same light as I saw him.." Kaoru responded in a damaged tone. He wanted to cry, but not in front of a girl like Arietta. He wouldn't give her the satisfaction of seeing him for what he was at the moment; a broken man.

My parents died before I was even a month old. They both were murdered in our house. It was pretty gruesome actually. I'm not good with funerals, so please excuse me if I've offended you."

"My mother and father died when I was eight, and my Grandmother died last winter." Kaoru responded, not really affected by her story. It wasn't much different than her own, other than the fact she still had family to run to, wealthy family at that. He didn't exactly accept the apology or decline it, mostly because he felt she was trying to manipulate him somehow and it enraged him. Does she play with people everywhere she goes? I'm not a doll and she can't use her sad story to coax me into treating her nice.

"We're here. I'm sorry for your loss, Mr. Inoue."

"Are you truly? Regardless, thank's for the ride, Hiroshi." He responded in a flat tone, his blue eyes staring into the sunglasses the blonde driver wore. He really didn't feel like putting up with either of the car's other occupants right now.

"Ready? Or do you need a moment to compose yourself?"

"I think I'll manage just fine." He replied in an exhausted tone. She didn't know Varthur so she wasn't in the same mood as everyone else and he honestly found it annoying. He only agreed to ride with her because it was a long walk from the store he was at... Honestly he would have took a taxi if he knew how horrible the car ride was going to be.

"Sugoi.. Your friend was definitely living on the finer side of Japan's economy...."

"That's a little insensitive don't you think, Arietta?" His voice was irritated and it was easy to tell he was growing tired of the blonde girl's antics. Everything about her was beginning to piss him off and he typically enjoyed the company of all girls. Something about this one made him want to break his hand punching one of the nearby walls. He didn't believe in hitting women, but if anyone deserved it, it was girls like Arietta. She was really pushing his patience.

"It's too rude for me to carry that around inside. Wait outside for us, right here, Hiroshi."

"How considerate of you.." Kaoru responded in a sarcastic tone, ready to escape the blonde. He would find his own way home, he wasn't about to get back in that car with her. Not in a million years. Kaoru mumbled curses under his breath, rolling his eyes that some people were more concerned with the rich woman that passed by rather than the fact that this was Varthur's funeral. He didn't blame the girl, but he found it pretty lame of the guests to be crowding another guest instead of offering the family their condolences. He went inside, somehow making it there before the white haired woman (Cassiopeia). He recognized the family immediately and offered the envelope of condolence money he'd brought not to Varthur's father, but to his younger brother who was sobbing uncontrollably. He then stood upright and handed the flowers to Mr. Laurence.

I knew your brother, and I'm sorry for your loss, Chibi-chan... I'll never forget him, and if you ever need someone to talk to about the loss, you can contact me on Facebook... I lost both of my parents and my grandmother... I understand what you're going through."
