What happens when you have a bunch of old high school friends meeting up for the third year in a row for a winter vacation at a ski resort? Lots and lots of drama, naturally! This group of friends have known one another for quite a long time and upon graduating high school, went their separate ways as friends naturally do. Some have lost the closeness they once shared, others did not. Some even found themselves drawn to those they never thought they could share a significant bond with. Whichever way the wind took them, however, they all manage to keep in contact in some form or another and the longtime couple decided to put that bond to good use.
Every year, either on the evening of Christmas or the morning after, everyone boards a plan, train, or even drives to their favorite ski resort in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. They stay together in a large and luxurious space belonging to one of their own and reside in the home for about two weeks, sometimes longer depending on everyone's work schedules. In that time, they reconnect - they drink, eat, laugh, talk, cry, and fall in love with their friendship all over again. They ski, snowboard, ride tubes, and even ice skate with one another - they do whatever they can in that short amount of time. But don't think for a second that all is perfect. Friends or not, they are only human and not every human being in this group get along.
In fact, like any group of people who haven't seen one another in a long time, they all have their own secrets - dark truths that they don't want to share with one another. Some have come in pairs, others as singles. Some have forgotten why they fell in love or are friends with each other, others are trying to hold on to whatever tentative bonds they do have. There are even those who out-rightly can't get along and even others who have held on to longtime resentments. While the idea has always been to keep outside drama where it belongs, how long do you think the peace will remain until what has been done in the dark comes to the light? How badly will relationships be tested now that they are in close quarters? Will they be able to survive the lies and the secrets? Or, when the dust settles, will there be nothing left to hold on to?

There is no true objective in this roleplay other than to make it to that final day of their stay at the estate. As you can see, it is more character and relationship-driven, so communication with one another and collaboration is key in making this in an enjoyable roleplay. The story begins December 26, 2017 and the characters return home January 10, 2018. Base birthdays off of this time frame.}

Melanie Ekwensi-Hart || Age: 24 || Face Claim: Leigh Anne Pinnock || Taken by Girl2Fine2
{She had always been the group's baby, the one to be looked out for as she was always the one inserting herself into the spaces the older ones found comfort in, dragging her best friend along to parties she knew her brother never wanted her to be at, even with him nearby. Or, at least, that's the way her brother tried to make it. The baby sister of Guy II, Lanie spent a good portion of her high school career under the watchful eye of her big brother and his best friend, Guy V. Once away from them, however, she ended up and is still dating the one guy her brother never wanted her to be with, Guy I. She used to be close friends with Girl III, but after the latter tried to break up her brother's longtime relationship, she called it quits. Her best friend is Guy VI, but she is confused about what their relationship really is. Well, she's always been confused, but it was easier in high school to pretend that she didn't feel jealous when he would go out with someone else. Now...not so much, which is a problem considering that she's taken. She's also good friends with Girl II and recently has become practically best friends with Girl IV.}
Girl II || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Alexandra Breckenridge || OPEN
{A mother hen of sorts, she married at the age of eighteen to Guy II and has never regretted that decision. They had been in love, basically, since their sophomore year of high school. She stood beside him, even when he went away for the army, and while she has never seen her future without being married to him, not everything is as perfect on the marriage front as they would have everyone to believe. She has endured about three miscarriages and seems to be weaker after each one, and she is pretty sure that her husband has not forgotten her tryst with Guy III. Not that many would since, if you fight with your husband, you shouldn't be quick to give it up to a man that is definitely not him - least of all, his now former best friend. Girl III once was her good friend, but now they only try to be civil since it's hard to forgive a woman who seemed adamant to break up your marriage. She is close friends, practically sisters since the whole in-laws thing, with Girl I and her best friend is Guy VII.}
Girl III || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Jude Demorest || OPEN
{Is probably considered the most flirtatious and most eccentric of them all, she and Girl I were once the best of friends and to be completely honest, she has been in love with Guy II since she even knew what love was. However, her pursuit of him despite his marriage led to the demise of both of those relationships and since then, she has become just a tad bit more reckless. As an act of revenge against her former bestie, she dated and broke the heart of Guy VI, reveling in the very obvious-but-the-dumb-bitch-would-never-admit-it jealousy from Girl I (whom she also won't admit she misses). However, this trail of broken hearts that she has left behind might have just cost her a chance to be with Girl VI, whom she had been having feelings for since the beginning of last year and who she is close friends with. She is also childhood friends with Guy V. }
Girl IV || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Asami Zdrenka || OPEN
{With the rise of her career in Hollywood came the distance she has put between herself and the girl that she used to be. Oh, she had always been an entertainer and that was one of the reasons why she had been so well-liked, particularly by Girl I, whom she has become best friends with in recent years. It surprised everyone when she said that she would make it this year and no one was more surprised than her ex-boyfriend, Guy VII. He had been ready to propose about three years back and while she does, in fact, love him, their paths were going in two separate directions and she couldn't hold him back. Which sucked because it wasn't like she handled the break-up any better than she heard he did. Even now, however, she wonders how much of her pushing him - pushing everyone - away was a mistake and what it might have cost her. She is good friends with Guy II and friends with Guy III.}
Girl V || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Aja Naomi King || OPEN
{You remember that self-proclaimed queen bee figure that you hoped would grow up and realize that the world does not revolve around her, and that she is not that hot? Well, this is her, and no, she has not changed. If you ask the others. In fact, she's probably gotten worse, if you ask the others (and again, this is probably coming from a bit of bias since well, not everyone was her biggest fan). Still a bit demanding and still rather...well, snobby, her most beloved trait and the one reason why she sticks around is because...well, friendship. Okay, friendship and that's the end of that. She has, however, been having a few issues in the last year. Longtime boyfriend broke up with her, her friendship with Guy V has deteriorated, and to make matters worse, he is still friends with the one chick in the whole group that she cannot stand - Girl III She also ended up sleeping with Girl VI a few months ago, but neither know what to do about it and she damn sure doesn't since...last time she checked, she was straight...right?.}
Girl VI || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Halsey || OPEN
{After so many failed relationships, she practically contended herself in this "relationship" with Guy VII, and neither of them are as happy with one another as they would like to be. They're friends, yes, and that's one thing that will never change. They were practically inseparable after graduation. They're definitely attracted to one another, sure. Sex can be a bit dull if there's no attraction. But when it comes down to it, she gave her heart to her friend, Girl V years ago and the prom queen never realized it until a few months ago and that was only a drunken night. Which was awesome, thank you for asking. She wants to take this further, but isn't sure if Girl V is willing to put everything on the line like she is. Well, there's always Girl III, but what's the point of trying with someone who has never really tried a day in her life? Her step-brother is Guy IV. }
Girl VII || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Jade Thirlwall || OPEN
{To be completely honest, she has been a little lost in life ever since she came out to her parents that she was bisexual at the age of thirteen and brought her first girlfriend home. She had originally dated Guy I and while she likes to say that she has moved on (since modeling and partying with socialites who would have never given the high school her the time of day are great ways to move on), old feelings resurface every time they are around each other. In fact, they have slept together a few times despite his involvement with Girl I. The only one who knows about the affair is her best friend, Girl V, and her best friend is also the only one who knows about her sexuality. She is close friends with Guy IV, though even that is questionable since she ended up kissing him at a party in what was supposed to be an attempt to make a then girlfriend jealous. She didn't expect it to make her forget about both the girl and Guy I, if only for one night.}
Guy I || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Godfrey Goa || OPEN
{His relationship with Girl I had been more about a conquest than anything else initially, a way to make Guy II mad. The other man had always been super protective of his baby sister, got on his last damn nerve when they were in school, didn't want anyone with the girl who was practically begging to get laid (at least, she was in his mind), and that included the high school womanizer. And before anyone judges him, yes, he does in fact love his girlfriend. He really does. However, he and Girl VII never really got over one another and well, temptation is a thing to be feared. He felt bad every time he slept with the other woman - he felt bad about the cheating part, not about actually being with her. And now that both women will be under the same roof, he doesn't know how to handle the situation. Not to mention how he's supposed to handle the very obvious attraction between his girlfriend and her "best friend," Guy VI.}

{The big man on campus surprised everyone when he got himself legally emancipated when he was seventeen and then married Girl II at eighteen. He and his parents had always disagreed when it came to his life, which led to his emancipation, but it never infringed upon his relationship with his baby sister, Girl I. They are extremely close despite her moving away from their family. He was once very good friends with Guy III, but when the man slept with his wife during a time a bad point in their marriage, he lost all respect for him. Which is why he's gonna be pissed when he finds out that his current best friend, Guy V is dating the same person who served as a threat to his marriage. He absolutely despises Guy I, which has always put a strain on his sister's relationship with the man, and is good friends with Girl IV.}
Guy III || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Devran Taskesen || OPEN
{Known for being a bit of a flirt himself, he and Guy V have been going steady for nearly a year now and he has considered proposing, but hasn't exactly worked up the courage. First thing's first, however, he wants to try to rebuild whatever relationship he once had with Guy II, his lover's best friend. It was an accident, really, him sleeping with Girl II. He had been comforting the man's wife after a really bad argument, had too many drinks, and it turned into something neither could undo. They didn't even choose to keep it a secret, they talked to him the day after it occurred. And try as he might to apologize, his former friend is not hearing any of it. He is good friends wit Girl IV despite the distance she put between herself and everyone.}
Guy IV || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Sam Claflin || OPEN
{He had always been the distant one of the entire group and his main connection still is his step-sister, Girl VI. He didn't really connect with everyone as much back in high school, though it wasn't that he didn't get along with them. He just liked moving through. However, his main relationship has been with Girl VII, who is his closest friend. He had feelings for her back in high school, but never thought she would return said feelings, especially when she was with Guy I, his old partner-in-crime who he has recently lost contact with. But then she kissed him and well, things are a tad bit confusing.}
Guy V || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Zach Roerig || OPEN
{He had always been a bit of the good guy, never one to get in trouble or do anything outside the constraints of his very religious parents' beliefs. So, imagine their surprise when he confessed that he was gay. Yeah, they didn't take it so well and he ended up moving in with his longtime friend, Girl III. Not that that relationship isn't strained since she tried to break up his best friend's marriage with Girl II. He has been dating Guy III for a year now, but he can't help but feel like his boyfriend has been more anxious as of lately and doesn't seem to know why. It could be the fact that he hasn't told his best friend, Guy II that he's in a relationship with the same guy they were once both friends with - the same one that slept with the man's wife. Who knows, at this point? He just hopes that everyone finding out doesn't cost him his friendship.}
Guy VI || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Jared Padalecki || OPEN
{It seems like everyone knows that he is in love with Girl I except the one person who should know - the girl. Even her current boyfriend, Guy I, knows. Not that the two of them are close or anything, they can barely stand each other and only act civil when she's around. And maybe..just maybe...some part of her is aware, but she's not exactly ready to confront what they could be, he doesn't really know. What he does know that in order to attempt to get over his best friend, he slept with Girl III which led them dating, but then she broke his heart. He had told himself that it wouldn't work from the beginning, but still managed to be disappointed. Even then, however, he never got over his best friend and doesn't think he will. He is good friends with Guy VII.}
Guy VII || Age (25-32) || Face Claim: Skylar Astin || OPEN
{It had always surprised him that a girl like Girl IV would have wanted him. Not that he has some image issues or anything, or, if he did, he wouldn't admit it - but she just had always seemed...unattainable. Yet and still, she found something about him that was attractive for she had been the pursuer in this relationship, reeling him in with her hook. And he was in love with her - still is. However, she left before he could propose and while they text to check in on one another occasionally, it's not the same as it used to be. His best friend, Girl II, says that now might be the chance to work things out and try again, but he's not so sure. He never fathomed why she could want him back then and at this point, why would she want him now? That's also him pretending like his "relationship" with Girl VI, one of his friends, doesn't exist.}

I am telling you guys now. This needs to be taken seriously. No, I do not believe paragraphs consist of anything less than seven sentences. I'm sorry, it's my being an English major and that being drilled in my head. No, I don't believe in your personality section being a short paragraph because it does not fully quantify the full depth of your character. Who is this individual? How flawed are they? I expect two - three paragraphs for this section, nothing less. Your sheet can be the prettiest picture ever, but that won't mean a thing if this and the history section aren't jam-packed with flavor.
