He was still in his suit and as he landed with Athena in tow and didn’t miss a step. It was as though he had transited in mid stride and even as he landed he continued his step without interruption whereas most of were probably still having trouble getting their bearings after a transit. He had in one hand a cane that held a glass orb at the top held by an elegant eagle which he didn’t bother using like a cane but merely carried at his side. His suit coat was unbuttoned and his tie was already removed leaving his collar open and his vest revealed. “Sorry I’m late…”
He glanced at Poseidon and nodded in greeting to him and Hades who were standing off to the side as he headed over to the edge. The area had a circle of stone in the centre that at first seemed like it might be a patio or something for hikers yet this high in the mountains it was still a strange item, the truth of it was that this was where Zeus typically trained in combat. He came to stop near a bench ad tapped the cane to the ground, though it was obviously tapped hard by his great strength as the cane was stuck into the ground and stayed upright as he removed his coat and gripped the top of the cane. With a twist he revealed a cane sword which he drew out before placing his coat to hand on the standing cane and turning to the others, “So… who’s first?”
Jordan sighed and moved forward cracking his neck and looking at the man, “Don’t you think that you should demonstrate first?” he said as he took a fighting stance after slipping some metal plated gloves onto his fists and smirking at Zeus.
“Are you volunteering, Jordan?”
The man didn’t answer but instead rushed forward at a greater speed than any human would be capable of. Zeus didn’t flinch as the two collided, sword to fist and a cloud of dust was kicked up. Jordan rolled from the cloud first and was shifting his weight back as Zeus moved from the cloud casually slashing at the man. Jordan blocked with a gloved hand grabbing the blade though he was unable to resist all the force and was thrown back as he had presumably been beforehand though this time over and off the circle, almost tumbling into Poseidon.
Zeus relaxed, as did Jordan as he regained his stance and glanced at his left hand which was bleeding. Yet still he smiled, and perhaps that was because of the blood on his right hand’s knuckle plates, blood that was flowing from a small cut across Zeus’ face. Zeus smiled as he wiped some free blue away with his handkerchief and then proceeded to clean his blade, “Not bad, for a demi-god.”
“Please Zeus, I prefer the term coder…”
“I’m sure you would…” he glanced at the others and realized he may have some explaining to do though they would have to ask.
