Kuma

so much noise was coming from block1 area 'those idiots trying to escape again, they make too much noise'she thought to herself as she tried to shift her position. though this did little as Kuma was chained quite tightly, her hands were tied together then chained twice over her head. her abdomen was chained to the wall as were her thighs but to the floor. her feet were tied together and chained to the ground, 'so many chains' Kuma looked at herself noting her chaft and bleed skin where the metal bit into her skin even if she didnt move.

Kuma let out a sigh and closed her eyes for a nap only to be stabbed a couple times in her stomach. she wasnt even fazed by the pain no more, Kuma's entire life was full of pain she doesnt know of the outside world as she pretty much lived here all her life. "get up girl time for some tests" a menacing smile on his face as he looked her body over. Kuma simply stared at him with her unnerving mismatched eye, the two seemed to be having a stare down and the first to look away was the scientist. he then pressed a lever that released her chains and Kuma stood up slowly towering over everyone by a good foot and a few inches.

she yawned her enlarged canines showing as her ears went back against her head. then something jabbed her in the back that sent a wave of electricity coursing theough her body which made her yelp but not from the pain but because she was surprised 'but why be surprised you should be expecting anything by now' shaking her head softly Kuma followed the scientist and was flanked on all sides by guards. her hands were chained together and held in the front of her. each guard held the chain to the collar on her neck, so six in total to ensure she wont break free or try anything funny.

Kuma walked in utter silence her made no sound, the only sounds that one could hear were the chains shifting and the tapping of the Tocuri's and guard's shoes against the cold dank floor. she passed Block1 and glanced at the cells occupants briefly summing them up for who and what they were. then she looked around herself and she noticed the exit door was slightly ajar, anybody with senses as strong as hers would have heard the light cold draft that came from outside. 'the Tocuri dont know about it do they' she sighed as they entered a large white room, they unchained her and pashed her forwards, they left closing the seal tight door behind them. and so the experiments began, if one was to pass by the door and place their ear against its thick surface you would be able to faintly hear the buzz of electricity and many other things.

after the experiments Kuma was extremly tired, her body ached but she disnt make a sound not even during the experiments despite the fact that it was worse than usual. they threw her into the cell only bothering to chain her hands to the wall, Kumas head slumped forwards and her body began to shake a little but soon stopped as her body relaxed and she was asleep.

Kuma

she sighed once more as she heard the guards mess with Jonas again, a low growl escaped her throat but she kept her eyes closed as she turned slightly in an attempt to face his general directions. "are you alright Jonas?" she asked her voice echoed through out her cell before it reached his own ears. Kuma shifted again trying to find a more comfortable position but then decided it was best to stand on her knees so her hands were leveled with her waist.

Amayu finally woke from her capture with a splitting headache, and by the scent of her own blood which was stagnant in the air she had come to the conclusion of they just threw her onto the floor and left, after chaining her to the wall of course. Soon she heard doors opening with footsteps and then a growl, which made her instinctively growl to defend herself. Then she heard a voice, it sounded unfamiliar but didn't exactly make her unsettled, she calmed a little and soon fell asleep for a little bit. After a while Amayu woke again and looked around a little, she wanted to get the hell out, but she didn't know how. Soon though a guard entered her cell which threw her on high alert and soon, she started to growl with the intention of if the guard came closer, she'd tear him apart.

Astrid's world slowly came in and out of focus she gently brushed her fingers across her brusies and needle injections. She winced at the throbbing pain that numbed her whole body. She heard a small klangs coming closer and closer to her, she went on high alert mode preparing for the worst. A bald guard came into her cell she pressed her back into the cell wall. He held a small needle in his hand that held a clear blue liquid he strudded to her grining "Stay away from me!" She said her voice shaking "no it's time for medicine." He replied evilly. He leaned toward her placing the needle on her arm. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath

She opened her eyes feeling full of energy she quickly punched the man in the nose and sank the needle into his flesh she kicked him and grabbed his keys she was heading for the end of the hallway she turned around and saw the sad hurt eyes of strangers. She stood mesmertised by the time she shook her self from the trance two guards were after her she didn't struggle as the picked her up slammed her on the cell floor and started beating her. Right before she passed out she thought 'should I try to save them? Even if I cant save myself....' she heard the faint clang of the cell door as darkness engulfed her.

Jonas opened one eye enough to look at his neighbor who had spoken to him, her voice still echoing throughout the cement cells. "Are you alright, Jonas?" She had asked, a hint of concern in her voice. Jonas couldn't help but smile, alright? There's no such thing as 'alright' in this hellhole. He wanted to sneer, but he held his tongue and closed his eye, again.

"I'm fine." He muttered, unwrapping the scarf from around his hands and rewrapping it around his neck. Jonas peered down at the bright blisters on his hands and sighed, "As fine as I'll ever be, at least." He went over to his bed, satisfied that the scientists were done tormenting him for the day, and tried to get comfortable despite his aching head and hands.

Both Jonas and Kuma had known each other for a long time, both of which had been in the Magic Facility longer than they could remember. He liked Kuma and it was somewhat comforting to know that there was someone who could sympathize with him in the fact that they'd always been tortured in this infernal place.

He leaned over and looked at the wall that divided their cells, his piercing green eyes catching her gold ones. "Kuma, do you think we'll ever get out?" He asked, sighing. He knew that it probably wasn't going to happen, he had lost hope long ago, but he liked to ask. Hearing the words out loud made them seem almost...possible.

Kuma

she looked back at him and for a moment her left eye looked gold before returning back to its green hue and she blinked. shaking her head a little Kuma looked back at her door and sighed before answering " i dont think so, i know so you have to trust me on this, we will get out of here remember our promise?" Kuma knew Jonas for a long time and she liked him very much, he was the closest thing she could call family. they had made a promise a few years back that they would escape together, along with whoever wanted to join them.

"like hell I'm going to stay here you bastards, cant keep us locked up forever" Kuma was upset and she smelled blood but it wasn't hers but she recognized it to be the girl who lived near Jonas and her, and her blood was coming from her left 'is she inside Jonas's cell'. she cocked her head listening to what the girl said next "my dear I don't think its wise to stay there if they find out you in Jonas's cell, your going to get him in trouble" the guards finally regained their senses and were looking for the girl, they were just about to pass her cell and if they did they would find the girl in Jonas's cell and they would both be punished. 'well its now or never' and with that last thought she yelled at the guards "hey uglies did you really just get outsmarted by us freaks, how sad" mocking them, in hopes they will turn their attention to her and forget about the girl if long enough for her to go back to her cell.

and it did work a bit too much as they turned their attention to her "shut up you freak" as one jabbed her with an electric stick, the voltage was higher than anytime before, Kuma tried to keep it in but it hurt to much as she let out a roar full of pain that or they stabbed her or hit her.

the guards kept this up for a few minutes, the entire time they laughed at Kuma, thankfully they stopped, one jabbed her one last time but with something sharp as it bite into the skin of her stomach. Kuma managed to keep her mouth shut despite the fact that the guard was purposly pushing the blade deeper into her skin making it all the more painful. finally the guard grew tired of this and left her, and Kuma finally let out a small growl full of pain, her eye's flashed with fury and she glared at the wall of her cell trying to stop her shaking. after they were well out of view Kuma lifted her head to look over at Jonas and the girl a smile on her bloodied face "I think their gone, now hurry back to your cell little one before they come back" Kuma's voice cracked as pain over took her and she began to lose conscious "well it looks like its lights out for me" joking a little before her eyes closed and she was unconscious.

"I dont think so, I know so. You have to trust me on this, we will get out of here. Remember our promise?" Kuma said, looking at him with her knowing eyes.

Yes, Jonas remembered the promise. He remembered them both getting dragged to a test where they were tied to each other and thrown into a pool. Both of them almost died during that test and afterwards they had sworn that they wouldn't put up with the Magic Facility's tyranny for their whole lives.

He took a deep breath, that was a long time ago. The Tacuri had worn him down, he was starting to lose his will. If it wasn't for Kuma, Jonas didn't know where he would be. I'd probably be about as sane as Joker. He thought with a shudder. He was glad he had someone like Kuma to keep him sane and her assurance that they'd escape and her faith in their promise made him feel as if it was possible. "Of course I remember," he said softly, eyeing a guard coldly as they walked past before looking back to Kuma. For the first time in a long time, Jonas smiled, "Between the two of us, I think we could find a way out."

A crash in his cell caused Jonas to jump, thinking the Tacuri had returned for another torture session. Jonas sat up in his bed and looked towards the corner where he thought he heard some shuffling. His green eyes caught site of a girl, cowering in the corner of his cell. He narrowed his eyes at her and was about to tell her to leave but was interrupted.

"I...I'm so sorry I didn't know anyone was in here" The girl says frantically before her voice drops to a whisper,"just please let me stay here until they pass....."

Jonas looked at her skeptically, then shrugged and leaned back in his cot again, shrugging. "Fine, but if we get caught it's on your head." He said impassively. He couldn't just kick her out, she seemed so desperate and scared, he looked at her out of the corner of his eye and wondered what they had been doing to her to get her that way.

"My dear I don't think its wise to stay there if they find out you in Jonas's cell, your going to get him in trouble." Kuma said, her voice echoing in Jonas's cell from where she sat in her own cell. He looked over at his friend as she began to distract the guards. He smiled and mouthed the words 'thank you' to her, then turned to the other girl.

"You need to get to your cell," Jonas instructed, "If you don't, they'll just punish both of us more severely." He looked at her body, she was severely injured, and he couldn't help but feel the need to help her. He took a deep breath and motioned for her to come closer to him. "Before you leave, though, come here. I'm a healer, I won't let them hurt a girl like that. He said, his eyes flashing angrily but his tone soft.

The guards finally left, leaving Kuma bloodied and seriously injured. Jonas looked to his friend as she slowly lost conciousness and clenched his fists. He would not let the Tacuri get away with doing these things to anyone anymore. It was inhumane and no one deserved that kind of pain.

He finally tore his eyes away from his bloodied friend, he'd see what he could do to help her when she woke up but for now he needed to heal the girl. "Come on, we need to do this quickly, before they come back." He hissed, reaching out more impatiently.

He was relieved to see that the burns were already beginning to heal. He was grateful that he healed faster than others, it made it hurt just a bit less when he was taking on the pain and injuries of someone else.

Finally, he grabbed the girls wrist and closed his eyes tightly, preparing himself for the pain.

The first thing he felt was a searing pain in his neck where the girl had been shocked, then the rest seemed to come in, more electricity burns and stab wounds. Blood blossomed on his shirt as the new wounds opened up. Finally, they stopped coming and he opened his eyes, the life drained quite a bit from the green orbs, their light dulled. He gasped and held his chest, forgetting to let go of the girl's arm, the pain so severe.

He remembered her presence and his eyes shot to her face, glowing with health and life after Jonas's 'healing session'. It almost made him feel better seeing her looking so healthy. He released her wrist and pushed her towards the door, wincing at the pain that shot through his newly torn and burned arm. "Go! Now!" He hissed through clenched teeth. He felt himself losing himself to a blanket of darkness and laid back, more than happy to give himself away to the sweet, painless sleep of unconsciousness.

Kuma

she woke up to an ear splitting headache and she let out a low groan that eventually turned to a growl, baring her teeth as Kuma tried to sit up but found she couldn't. while she had been knocked out the guards must have come in because she was now chained just as severely as she had been before.

the chains hurt like hell, cutting into her skin especially where her wounds were, which were still bleeding some. "I wonder how much blood I lost, Jonas how long have I been out for?".

Jonas Kaoulisk

When Jonas awoke, groggy and sore, he saw that the girl had gone. The lack of noise told him that Kuma hadn't woken up yet and he slowly sat up to check on her through the window. Her chest rose and fell somewhat evenly and her paws twitched as she slept.

He breathed out a sigh of relief and went to check on his own wounds. The pain after he had healed the girl earlier had been severe because he got it all at once and his skin burnt itself and split open, but after his nice nap the pan had begun to subside and he was feeling much better than he had before.

It seemed that Jonas had some extra time on his hands, so he trudged over to the small sink in the corner of his cell and began working the dried blood out of his hair and off of his face and body. He cleansed the wounds that still hadn't healed yet and used his scarf to dry off his newly clean blonde hair.

A long groan that quickly morphed into a low growl diverted Jonas's attention away from himself. He looked towards Kuma's cell and saw she was slowly coming to her senses.

"I wonder how much blood I lost, Jonas how long have I been out for?"

He walked as close to the window as the heavy chains around his ankles would allow him to and looked in to Kuma. She was in such a sorry state and the green eyes boy wished with all of his heart that he could help ease her pain. The damn chains! The damn Tacuri! Scrupulous bastards, the lot of them!

Jonas shook his head, "Kuma, I don't know. I was out, too. I healed the girl and passed out, I only just woke up a few minutes ago." He answered, solemnly.

Kuma

the moment he mentioned healing the girl her eyes mere slits that pierced the darkness.. This time Kuma really looked at him, she could smell old blood that hadn’t been there before; "Jonas are you alright now" concern laced her voice. Kuma knew he was a healer but sometimes taking on the pain of others could be too much, she had seen it before and the very thought of Jonas dying sickened her. Tears began to well up but she refused to cry not in front of him, Kuma strained to get a better view of Jonas but couldn’t because of the chains that kept her pretty much immobilize.

"Damn theses chains, damn all of them to hell" she growled to no one in particular but then she whimpered from the sudden pounding in her head. Kuma began to shake in pain her eye closed tight to suppress her tears, her lip began to bleed from biting it so hard. Eventually Kuma stopped and let out a pain huff, her chest rose and fell quickly with each strained breathe.

"Jonas i think i have found a way out of this place but we must act quickly for it is bound to be noticed by the Tocuri" she whispered quickly so any guards nearby couldn’t hear her. Kuma looked at Jonas her eyes full of hope "i could felt a cold wind so it’s possible that it could be what the Tocuri call winter" slowly Kuma became excited at the possibility of there being snow. She always wanted to see snow it was her dream, it was her drive to keep living.

"Jonas are you all right now?" Kuma's voice penetrated the silence that had ensued after Jonas had mentioned healing the mysterious girl. His lips tugged up in a smile, it was nice to know that someone in the hellhole that was the Magic Facility actually cared. It was a fact that was very easy to forget amidst the torture the Tacuri inflicted upon them all.

"I'm fine," Jonas reassured her. "You can't forget that I heal a lot faster than the normal human, too." That detail was always nice, especially after a bad beating, but it always left him feeling guilty. After all, Kuma got abused too, sometimes worse than he did.

Slowly, Jonas made his way back to his cot and plopped himself down on it. The chains on his ankles were heavy and uncomfortable, but he was grateful the Tacuri never really cuffed his wrists anymore. After a while, they began to see him as less and less of a threat as they wore down on his resolve over the years. To them, Jonas Kaoulisk was just the harmless healer. He gave cold glares, but that was pretty much the brunt of it, they didn't understand the extent of a healer's power. He hoped that maybe one day they would remove the shackles completely. Maybe then he'd be able to heal Kuma when she got beaten.

"Damn theses chains, damn all of them to hell."

Jonas smiled a bit, he had been thinking the same thing just a minute or so earlier. "Kuma, cursing the chains won't loosen them any more," he joked. His voice grew serious when he heard her whimper. "Be careful, I don't want you hurting yourself any more, you need to rest."

"Jonas I think I have found a way out of this place but we must act quickly for it is bound to be noticed by the Tocuri." Jonas sat up abruptly, the sudden determined rush of words from his friend catching him off guard. His green eyes found hers, they were so full of hope. She continued eagerly, her voice hushed so the guards wouldn't hear, "I could feel a cold wind so it’s possible that it could be what the Tocuri call winter."

Jonas was fully aware of Kuma's dream to see snow and wished with all of his heart that he'd one day be able to help her achieve that dream, however he couldn't help but be skeptical. "Kuma I-" Jonas wracked his brain for the right words, "-I want to believe that we can escape, and I really want to help you see snow and become truly happy but... I don't want you to get hurt. If it fails..."

Kuma

she blinked at him, surprised he would say such things but she smiled warmly at him when he said he just didnt want her to get hurt. "Jonas no one has ever said that to me before and i thank you for caring so much about my safety" her voice calm and gentle before turning serious once more "but we will get out i have plan, remember those fellows from earlier who managed to get out of there cells. well why not do the same, surprise our captors, take them out quickly and we simply make a run for it" she breathed heavily in all the excitment Kumas voice rose a pitch but thankfully no one heard her. "well what do you think we or rather you will have to save up on clothes or blankets from the cold draft from outside indicates that it mist be cold outside. but with my genes it wont be a problem. so what do you say Jonas will you come with me?" her eyes were full of hope and also a deep lovw for this person who has been by her side for so long to think he wouldnt join her was a thought best left unheard.

Jonas saw Kuma's smile through the window and relaxed considerably. She was so full of life and warmth even after all of the years of pain she had gone through. He was grateful he had a friend like her, otherwise he wondered if he'd be as sane as he was. Kuma thanked him for being worried for her. He smiled back, they worried for each other, that was their job. It was the way it always worked when they were together.

She quickly began speaking again. Her voice was still hushed but it was full of excitement and hope. "We will get out, I have plan. Remember those fellows from earlier who managed to get out of their cells? Well, why not do the same; surprise our captors, take them out quickly, and we simply make a run for it." Jonas fell silent, his heart thudding in his chest and his brain working at a mile a minute, trying to think. There were so many risks involved but he wondered if it wasn't worth it. He didn't want to get his hopes up, and he definitely didn't want to get Kuma's up. If they failed, it would break her heart.

"Well, what do you think? We, or rather, you will have to save up on clothes or blankets. The cold draft from outside indicates that it must be cold outside but with my genes it won't be a problem. So, what do you say, Jonas, will you come with me?"

"Kuma! You can't just put something this big on me!" He snapped at her, sticking his head in his hands. He felt torn, he didn't know if it would be worth trying to escape. So many people had tried but, in all of his time there, none had succeeded. This decision that he made might cost Kuma her life. He gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut. Suddenly, a wave of calm came over him and he laid back, his decision made.

"Okay, we'll do it," he said, keeping his voice quiet as he stood and got as close to the wall as he could. "I have a plan. My next text is in a few minutes. While they are taking off my shackles, I want you to get the attention of one of the other guards and tell them your chains feel too loose and are hurting your paws. The kind of cuffs they use need to be removed before they can be readjusted. As soon as they are off, make a run for it, go toward the north exit, the guards usually change around that time so there's a good chance it will be unguarded. Don't wait for me, run as fast as you can, I believe I've heard of a small town nearby, get there and I'll meet your there as soon as I can." He took a deep breath and ran his hands through his hair, he had been thinking of ways to escape all of his life, he just never saw the opportunity. "Do you hear me, Kuma? No matter what, I don't want you looking back, just keep running. I promise on my life that I will be right behind you."

Kuma

she flinched at his reaction not exactly expecting him to snap at her. Kuma was about to protest about her leaving him behind but Jonas cut her off. Her ears laid back against her head at his sharp tone and it took her awhile to answer him after much thinking on both their parts.

"Alright Jonas I’ll do it, your plan sounds a lot better than mine did" she smiled hoping to lighten the tension between them. "But Jonas do be careful, please but remember i can’t run for very long so you need to meet me at the town in say an hour after i leave. That’s when i usually begin to overheat, hopefully the cold will help prevent it from happening sooner" she said hopefully her ears then pricked forwards at the sound of footsteps.

A couple guards came down the hall headed straight for Jonas. Kuma felt butterflies in her stomach a feeling she wasn’t quite used to as was apparent on her face before it was steeled away by a look of determination. They went inside and begun to take off Jonas chains and grabbed him and were about to leave when Kuma stepped in to fulfill her role.

"hey excuse Mr. guard but these chains are too loose, and are hurting my paws could you adjust them" one f to the guards grunted a reply before speaking "and why should i do that freak?" he sneered at her. Kuma gulped and knew that her next words had to be careful not only that but what she was going to say next disgusted her to her very core.

"If-if you do I’ll give something in return that you will very much like" looking away. Kuma adjusted her body a little more to show off her curves at this incentive the guard stared at her before glancing at the others and chuckled to himself. Kuma felt her face burn with shame at offering such a thing but she knew it wasn’t going to happen when she escaped. The guard came in and started to take off her cuffs but groped her a little. Kuma whimpered in shame but the moment he took the rest of them off and started to go further with his plan she leaned forwards and lashed out with her arm, her claws sliced across his face and he fell back screaming obscenities to her and clutching his face.

Using this moment Kuma stood up albeit a bit shakily and ran, but not before she attacked the other two guards who tried to come after her. Kuma ran as hard as she could but already her body had begun to overheat. She passed by a few cages and clawed at the locks letting the few who weren’t chained a chance to make a run for it. But they were only distractions as she ran down the hall to the north exit. Kuma finally reached it, the sirens turned on signifying an escapee but it was already too late Kuma pushed the door open and ran for all she was worth.

She stopped if only for a moment by the bright light and frigid air, her breath appeared white in the air and she smiled before running again once her eyes adjusted a little better. Kuma only looked over her shoulder once but she didn’t see Jonas not yet then she dropped to all fours to cover greater distance. Kuma could hear the guards running after her then she heard that dreaded sound. 'They released the tracker hounds' she growled and ran faster than before. Kuma crossed a river, using what little knowledge she had on hiding her scent, she ran back out and climbed a nearby tree and waited. thankfully it did seem to work when they passed by her, Kuma held her breath until they were out of sight and decided to get comfortable until Jonas met up with her. Kuma knew she was near the outskirts of a small town, though she had no idea how far out she was. But one thing she did know was the fact that she wasn’t going to welcomed if she just gallantly came in, at least not without Jonas.

Jonas found himself worrying about what Kuma said about overheating. If she were to after they got outside, the guards would get her and kill her for sure. He wasn't left with much time, though, when the sound of footsteps began towards them. Jonas's guards who were coming to torture him some more.

He closed his eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm his nerves. The guards opened his cage door and began towards him, grabbing him roughly and beginning to remove his chains. He counted silently in his head with each passing second being one more closer to freedom. As the guards dragged him out of his cell, he looked into Kuma's and saw her with the guard. He watched at he groped her while he removed her shackles.

While Jonas wasn't part animal in the least bit, he couldn't help but growl at the sight. He wanted to spring free of the guard's grips and punish the man for doing such a thing to Kuma.

He couldn't, though, and only waited for the moment when Kuma sprung out of her captor's grasps and liberated herself from the cell that had held her all of her life. It was beautiful to watch, she looked so free in that moment, despite the fact that she hadn't escaped quite yet.

It was now or never for Jonas, there was no going back after this point.

The distraction caused by Kuma's escape was more than enough for Jonas. He took the opportunity and placed his hands on the necks of the two guards who were holding him, they passed out quickly and he made a run for the door.

He met the dogs as he was escaping into the snow. Jonas sped up considerably, adrenaline pumping through his body and quickly arrived at the town, leaving the dogs behind him. It still hadn't seemed to register to him that he was free, or that a dog had nipped a good chunk out of his leg, his thoughts were focused on finding Kuma. The sound of dogs returned and he spotted a door in the snow that seemed to lead down into a cellar. He checked it and found that it was unlocked.

Without hesitating, he climbed in and shut and locked it behind him. Sighing with relief, he plopped down on the steps to wait until the dogs passed. After what seemed like forever, he heard the guards walking passed the cellar. He caught something that sounded like, "what's two lost freaks, anyway? Less mouths to feed, they'll probably die out here any-", the voices died as they got further away, heading back towards the prison.

A smile spread across the boy's face and after waiting for a few minutes, he scrambled out of the cellar and began to look around for Kuma. He was surprised at how quickly he found her, lounging up in a tree just outside of the town. "Kuma!" He shouted, "We're finally free!"

Kuma

she laughed but quickly covered her mouth so as not to alert the guards that she was in the tree above them. had they looked up she would have been done for sure and her chance at freedom gone. Jonas ran into a cellar the dogs close behind i guess they must have lost his smell among the snow she thought to herself. Kuma watched on in silence the suspense was killing her but finally the guards left heading back towards tthe direction they had come from.

Jonas left the cellar and found pretty quick and yelled up at her. a grin broke across her face as she jumped down landing in front of Jonas despite how high she was and seemed to be unhurt just proved further how inhuman she was. standing up right jncredibly fast Kuma used her momentum forwards and hugged Jonas tightly in a bear hug, and because of that momentum the two fell over into the cold ground.

she nuzzeled his chest for a moment before sitting back up smiling down at him "yeah we are. we'er finally free Jonas just like we promised" a beaming smile on her face. Kuma scooted off of him but still sat on the ground her brain had yet to fully comprehend what had just happened and at that moment it had begun to snow.

Kuma looked around her in awe as the thick snowflakes fluttered to the ground. she laughed and smiled raising her hands to catch the snowflakes in her hands. "Jonas its snow its actually snow!" she said excitedly a flake fell on her nose and she stared at where it landed going cross eyed for a moement. Kuma laughed some more looking atound her as the snow quickly began to blanket the ground in pure white.

but it was stained in red around where Jonas sat, and for the first time Kuma noticed his leg and gasphed. "Jonas your leg, your hurt we have to stop the bleeding soon" her expression of bliss changed to that of worry. her hand outstretched towards his leg to prepare to examine it but not before Jonas gave her the go.

Kuma leaped from the tree and, before Jonas had the chance to react, she put all of her momentum into a hug, pushing him onto the ground. He laughed. A real, true laugh, the first one of the kind that Jonas had ever had the chance to laugh in all of his laugh. The cold from the ground seeped into Jonas's back but he gave it no thought as he wrapped his arms tightly around Kuma. He blushed furiously but closed his eyes and smiled, trying to calm his racing heart beat.

She nuzzled his chest and he peeked open an emerald eye to look down at her. She sat up and looked down at him, a huge grin spread across her face. "Yeah we are. We're finally free, Jonas, just like we promised." He opened his other eye, the realization of it all hitting him. They were free. They weren't going to be tortured anymore. He wanted to sit up like Kuma, but the intense feeling of relief he felt stole all of the strength from him so he only sighed and smiled. "Jonas it's snow, it's actually snow!"

Jonas laughed as she looked cross eyed at a flake that landed on her nose before melting. He didn't think he'd ever felt happier than he did in that moment. He took the time to actually look at Kuma for the first time. In the dark of their cell blocks, Jonas never really saw her that well and could only guess at what she truly looked like. Her hair was short and as white as the snow around them. Her eyes were shining, one blue and one gold. Her skin was smooth and the color of chocolate, marred only by the scars, burns, and bruises that had been inflicted upon her. There were two red colored triangular markings on her face on both sides. Her ears were pointed and she had white paws as well as a fluffy tail protruding from under her clothes. She looked both strong and very beautiful. So this is the girl I've spent all of my life with, he thought, blushing and looking down at himself, wondering how bad he looked.

Jonas definitely wasn't without his share of scars, his were less prominent due to his healing powers. He wore a long, tan jacket that he had traded with a guard for a healing session after another prisoner had bitten him so deep that it touched the bone. Jonas hadn't been able to use his hand for a week after that, but he wasn't cold during the nights anymore. Around his neck was his light scarf that he had gotten when he was young, though he doesn't remember how. He still wore the grey prison pants and the boots that they were given.

Something suddenly registered in his mind, pulling him out of his thoughts. A light tugging in his gut told him to look down. He sat up and looked to his leg and froze, his face paling in horror.

Beneath him, a crimson liquid blossomed in the snow. His eyes widened as the pain came on all at once, a searing, burning feeling that shot up his leg and throughout his body. Not knowing what to do, he only stared. Kuma turned to him and saw it, gasping audibly.

"Jonas your leg! You're hurt, we have to stop the bleeding soon!" Her face contorted in fear and worry, her hand hovering in the air above his leg, waiting for his consent.

"It hurts.." He muttered, his voice weak. He turned his eyes to her and nodded, pulling his torn and bloodied pant leg up, revealing the wound in full. It was deep, his flesh torn and gushing blood. The sight made him sick to his stomach and he looked away, wincing. "Please do something quick."

Kuma

Kuma nodded and gentely moved his bloodied pants away. the snow had begun to collect around them and already an inch of white covered the ground around them. grabbing a fistful of the snow she dropped it onto his wound making it numb as she placed more and more snow on his leg. "sorry if it hurts but its best we make it numb before doing anything else" giving him an apologetic smile.

then reaching for the hem of her shirt Kuma tore of a long strip pretty much taking the whole shirt with it but left enkugh to cover herself. she was a bit clumsy with her paws but managed to wrap the strip of clothe around his wound making sure it was snug. she tied it a little tighter at the top to slow down the bleeding but it became a little looser as it went down.

but soon enough blood blossomed onto the makeshift bandage and she frowned trying to come up with a way to stop it. then she had an idea but she wasnt sure if Jonas would agree, "Jonas thats the best i can do for now but its bleeding to much and it will only get colder. your leg will get frotsbite thats even worse, your gonna have to transfer some if the wound to me Jonas its the only way that i can think of that will lessen the bleeding. but dont worry ill be fine just transffer it to my arm so that way we can still make a quick getaway if need be" her tone serious as she looked at Jonas.

Kuma quickly got to work. Jonas could feel cold snow getting pressed to his skin and then could feel Kuma wrap something around his leg but only faintly, his mind fading in and out of reality, not paying much attention. His head was aware of the pain and he could hear her talking to him but it sounded far off and he didn't bother trying to figure out what she was saying. He tried to focus on a tree in the distance next to the house whose cellar he had hidden in not too long ago. A bit further away he could see the town, lights glowing as the sky around them slowly darkened.

"...you're gonna have to transfer some if the wound to me, Jonas, it's the only way that i can think of that will lessen the bleeding. Jonas turned his head sharply to look at Kuma, her eyes blazing,"...don't worry. I'll be fine, just transfer it to my arm so that way we can still make a quick getaway if need be." He frowned and knitted his eyebrows together, he knew she knew about his feelings about using his powers in such a way, especially to her.

His leg throbbed, though, and an intense pain shot through his body, making him shudder. "Kuma, I don't want to hurt you." He hissed through gritted teeth. She looked at him, her face set and determined. "Please don't think low of me." He pleaded, giving in. He grabbed her wrists and held on tightly, the pain in his leg not allowing him to be gentle. Her hands were stained with his blood and he felt terrible that he had to do this to her just after their liberation. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. "Brace yourself.." Jonas whispered, leaning down and kissing her arm gingerly before forcing part of the injury out of himself and onto her arm. The outline of a canine bite mark formed on her arm in the spot he had kissed. Blood began escaping through the breaks in the skin and he let go of her arm and removed the scarf from around his neck, wrapping it around the injury.

Already the pain was almost gone from his leg. With half of the wound gone, it was easier for his powers to kick in and begin healing it. He turned his eyes to Kuma and then to the blood coming through the thin scarf. "I'm so sorry." He apologized, wrapping his arms around her, "if it gets to be too much I'll take it back."

Kuma

"i dont think low of you Jonas" she gritted her teeth but knew that if she tensed her mucsles it would hurt more so Kuma relaxed as best she could for what was to happen next.

then pain shot up her arm, centered arlund the spot where Jonas had kissed and soon enough her newly aquired wound began to bleed. Jonas took off his scarf wrapping it around her arm tight but blood had already begun to seep through ableit slower than when she had banadaged Jonas's leg. Kuma shook her head "there is no need to apologize Jonas i wanted this. i should be the one to say sorry since i made you do this" letting Jonas hug her. she leaned in wrapping her good arm around him before pushing away now serious "now then we should find shelter soon this snow might get worse and it would be bad if we were caught in it especially for you." looking around.

Kuma then got up offering Jonas her good side to lean on. "up we go" smiling despite the temperature dropping Kuma seemed perfectly fine, her body radiated warmth already used to worse temperatures. she lead Jonas back to the cellar sniffing the air for any signs of life other than their own. "good theres no one here" she set him down on a crate that looked stable and looked around for anything that would serve as a cup. funding a rusty old tin cup she quickly walked back outside and filled it with snow using her claws to scrape out as much rust as possible from the outside. thankfully there wasnt any on the inside and she refilled it with snow, which quickly melted and she went back to the cellar placing the cup in his hands. "here drink up, unlike you i can go a few days without any real food so water will have to do for now" giving him a weak smile.
