┘
"When we don't know who to hate, we hate ourselves." Humility is a trait familiar with those of Orenda House, and Fee reflects the quality just as one would suspect. She is not fond of the spotlight, and is the type to prefer behind-the-scenes work to starring center stage. She seldom puts herself first, and is instilled with a strong sense of compassion and consideration for others. She likes supporting others, providing comfort and protection rather than being helped and protected herself. She is not afraid of asking questions or expressing doubt, for whilst her pride does spring with occasional fire and spark when too carelessly tempered, she is typically on board with the idea that not knowing something and acting like one knows something are too completely different things. She is usually quick to admit to her mistakes, and in truth, she is often harsh with herself. Her 'humility' can easily veer into self-deprecation, and also she tends to maintain her brightness, her self-regard is typically fragile at best. In this sense, her humility is arguable, for instead of possessing the expected modesty, she instead reveals something a little sadder; an overt tendency to criticize herself, and seldom recognize her greater aspects.
"Courage is being afraid and saddling up anyway." Another definitive trait of an Orenda is a strong sense of courage. Fee is odd in that whilst she is far from a fan of conflict, she is fiercely protective and recklessly brave. She acts on impulse and emotion as opposed to forethought and logic. She is very protective of those she cares about, and even those she doesn't. She is intense in her value of life, and sees it as precious beyond compare. She'd never dream of taking another's life, no matter the consequences, and perhaps that makes her naive, considering the turmoil that is undoubtedly on the horizon. She is brave in that she is self-sacrificing and strong-willed, never bowing down from what she thinks is right. She is stubborn, and has an strong sense of justice.
"Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you." Despite being in possession of a certain level of clumsiness and awkwardness, Ophelia has also always enjoyed a clever wit. Her sense of humor is omnipresent in her behavior, and she injects a sense of lightness into her day-to-day behavior with a natural ease and seeming lack of effort. Her wit delves less into sarcasm and more into a wry sort of dryness that depends on her acumen and quick-mindedness. She thinks on her feet, with quick reactions and speedy retorts, and this tends to help her especially with both her humor and with her magical abilities, particularly the likes of dueling and defense against the dark arts.
"I am both happy and sad at the same time, and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be." Sunny and bright, Ophelia is a typically enjoyable person to be around. In the same vein as her idealistic tendencies, she tends to exude a natural exuberance, a passion for life that often turns itself addictive to those around her. She is the sort that speaks for the silver linings and the rainbow after the rain, the one constantly enforcing a sense of buoyancy, even when there seems very little felicity to go around. Truth be told, this does hinder her a little, for she oft finds herself so determined to ensure the comfort of others that she lays her own darker amounts at the back of her mind, and the very last in her list of priorities. It is strange that she can be both a terrible liar and an excellent actress, able to plaster on a smile, crack a witty joke, force a believable smile, even at her most insecure of moments. She is troubled by a fear of burdening others, and of bothering them with her own troubles, particularly due to her own self-admitted fortunes -how many halfbloods can claim to be a part of a sanguine household? How many people with even a shred of mundane in their family boast such material possessions as she does? She does not acknowledge her own darker troubles openly, simply because she doesn't deem them on par with those that face so many others. Instead, she opts to shrug off her worries, and write them off as insignificant, all whilst maintaining an image of cheer and humor.

HISTORY
Nathaniel Lee, why, he just pushed her over the edge.
A muggleborn wizard who was forced to live in servitude of the Hahn family, Nathaniel Lee met Juliet after a fight with her mother that resulted in her storming out of the house. Suffice to say, they found they were similar in spite of their backgrounds, and at the mutual age of seventeen, they fell in love. A year later, Juliet witnessed her mother performing the cruciatus curse on a muggle servant that had accidentally broken one of the mantelpiece decorations. The sight was enough to convince her to leave the toxic household, and with Nathaniel in tow, she ran away, never to return. Like Sirius Black, her face was burned from the family tapestry, and her name became taboo in the Hahn household.
Two years later, Juliet and Nathaniel had a baby girl, who they named Ophelia. The pair had found refuge with other rebels, and had deftly joined the cause. The three lived rather unconventionally, but happily, for the first seven years of Ophelia's life. However, tragedy struck in a non-violent protest stationed outside The White House (a place which now resides several powerful wizard politicians). Despite the lack of violence on the side of the protesters, the security was ordered to "Get rid of them. All of them." The first spell that was thrown was the killing curse, and suddenly, green flashes lit up the sky. By the time the protesters had time to react, they had already begin to fall like dominoes. By the end of the massacre, bodies painted the steps and covered the grass, and the White House Massacre entered the history books (tweaked to make the protesters sound like belligerent, drunken hooligans, naturally).
This turn of events left Ophelia without a home, and after the Hahn's learnt that their daughter was dead... they were relieved. No longer would their wayward daughter taint their reputation. However, their only son, Carlisle, felt very differently. As a child, he'd been closer to Juliet than he was to Veronica, and he himself lived awkwardly in a world where he wasn't a major supporter of what his family was renowned for supporting. He demanded that Ophelia be allowed into their household, and initially, the Hahn's refused. However, soon Carlisle threatened to leave himself, and considering his position as the heir of the Hahn family head, they grudgingly agreed to his terms.
And thus, Ophelia was given a home. Well, a home of sorts. She was still treated cruelly, with passive-aggressive comments and a constant cold shoulder by the majority of her relatives, but her uncle treated her like his own, and her aunt-in-law... well, she accepted Ophelia whilst holding a clear and obvious favoritism towards her own son, Dominic. Ophelia learnt to ignore the hostility surrounding her, or at least act as though it did not bother her, and at the age of eleven, she was sent to attend Remington, and sorted into Orenda.
