Introduction
But things did not stay peaceful. Humans began to take more land than they needed to, cutting down the trees and not replanting new ones as they once had done. They also began killing more animals than they needed, for things like trophies and clothes, and so on. Soon the elves all but hated them, and they began to lose their ability to use magic. Because of this they began making weapons to hunt with, and over time they methods evolved. Sticks became spears, then bows, then crossbows, and eventually guns. Science overtook their respect for nature, and they completely lost their magic and the help of the elves.
However, the elves were not as innocent as you would think. The elves were set and stubborn in their ways. They believed in no gods, only magic and nature, and when the humans lost those and took up gods, the elves mocked them. When the humans began taking more from nature the elves stopped protecting them, allowing wild beasts to attack them, and letting them find the poisonous foods of the forest. Their spells became more complicated. A spell for finding water became a spell for moving water, then for controling it, then for creating it.
And then, like a mystical sign, a meteorite fell from the sky and split their homes apart. It wasn't all that massive, but it hit a fault line and split their once Pangera like continent into two seperate ones, seperated by one large, swift flowing river. Due to this they were at first completely isolated from one another, and so they each sort of evolved along their own paths.
The humans went on to build grand cities of stone and metal. They created a place very similar to our own modern day cities, and raised a military that was similar as well. They weren't exactly the same, but you get the idea. The developed their religion and government and started wondering why the elves even needed their land when they never did anything with the natural resources.
The elves developed more magic and created new forms of life. Instead of actually making their homes, they grew them. Tending certain species of trees with magic they changed them so that they created a sort of natural home. They had no real government, however those with more knowledge of magic and nature were more highly reguarded. They learned to store their magic inside the unique type of crystal which they could actually grow, like plants, in gardens.
Eventually the two races tried to make a treaty. An island had appeared in the center of the river and they decided to meet there for the peace talks. Everything was going very well, and an agreement was almost reached, when something went horribly wrong. A military test went terribly wrong and a prototype missle went off by accident with no specified coordinates. It struch the island, killing everyone. Of course the elves blamed the humans, claiming that they wiped out their own men just to take care of the elves there as well. And, of course, the humans blamed the elves magic for the malfunction.
The simply truth is that it was just an accident.
War broke out between the two of them because of this. but there was a problem. During the few years when things were looking better, the two races got together, and children were born. These children were half-breeds, and now, with the war, neither side accepted them. Because of this, they became outcast and were forced to live in the areas where no one else wanted. The northen swamps, the islands surrounded by whirlpools to the south, and so on.
These half-breeds had new abilities. Because they were half human, they could not use magic, however they could generate magical energy and store it in the special crystals. And because they couldn't actually use magic, but had no qualms with technology, they developed new ways to use this stored magical energy. This new science has been called Alchemy. With Alchemy, human weapons, such as guns, can be modified to house and use magic crystals, allowing them to fire simple spells. A gun equiped with a red crystal can use fire spells like ammo, shooting fire balls, or a jet of flames, for as long as the energy lasts.
While most humans and elves hate each other, some do not, and they have joined with the half-breeds, which has helped expand the knowledge of both technology and magic. All together these people only want peace, for the most part, and they will do what they have to to achieve such a thing.
-=-=-
So it all boils down to a few simple things. Greed, pride, hate, war. The path you choose may change the future of Zinnex.
Here's what you need for your characters, add it into the character app as you like.
Name:
Age:
Race: (human, elf, helf-breed)
Skills: (anything your character may be good at, this includes magic spells and abilities for elves)
Goals: (do you want war, or peace? or something else?)
Side: (are you with the human military, the elven spellguard, or the halfbreed rebels?)
Weapons: (remember, humans and half-breeds can't use magic, but they can use guns and alchemy weapons, and elves don't use guns and don't need alchemy weapons)
And in your history section put in how you got involved in the war, why you're on which side you're on, and why your goal is what it is
Here are some race details-
Humans: basically the same as you or me, although if they are in the military they are assigned a number that is tattooed on the back of their necks, which is a series of numbers in this fashion- 00-000-0. They cannot use magic at all, however some can still detect when magic is being used nearby, and they are very good with technology, from everything having to do with weapons to vehicles to, well, most everything.
Elves: normally elves are slightly taller than the average human, with pointed ears and bright eyes. Sometimes they will have special tattoos of beautiful symbols and patterens or something like that. They refuse to have anything to do with technology, instead they use magic by casting spells and enchanting their weapons and armor. As far as armor goes they use light metal and varying thicknesses of leather, however they never kill animals. Animals will actually come to them when they are about to die and they will take their skin and bones and bury the rest. As for weapons, they use staves, spears, swords, and so on, however usually only metal weapons encrusted with gems are enchanted, but that's not a garuentee.
There are more to elves though, as there are actually 3 sub-races;
Noble Elves- these elves are fair of skin and light of hair, with bright eyes, normally blue, but sometimes green, never brown. These elves have a high amount of magical energy but have begun loosing their connection with nature
Natural Elves- these elves can vary as much as humans in the color of hair and eye, but their skin is usually darker, as they spend much of their time in the woods. They have become more intimate with nature, yet their magical abilities have remained unchanged. They are often seen with pets, and can speak to any animal
Hollow Elves- these elves have dark skin, usually a blueish or purpleish color, with either dark or white hair and dark eyes. They have nearly completely lost their connection with nature, lising in places other than tree homes or even the forests, things like the ruins of old human cities, caves, even underground. They have very strong and dark magics, and can never be trusted, as they are very likely to kill you either way
Half-breeds: this race varies depending on the parents, but basically they can be tall or short, light or dark, but they always have bright eyes no matter what color, and at least slightly pointed ears. Some bare tattoos like the elves but some don't, it depends on how and if they want to blend in, or their beliefs. They cannot use magic, but they can generate magical energy, which can be stored in the crystals and converted into simple spells with the use of Alchemic Technologies. They have no problems with useing technologies, and some can still speak with animals or even understand plants. Their abilities usually vary by what type of elf one of their parents were
another note to remember- Alchemy is a term used when talking about human weapons that have been modified so that they can transform magical energy stored in crystals into ammo. There are four common crystals that can sometimes be bought in rebel shops. the color equals an element. Red = Fire, blue= water, white= wind, brown= earth. Usually only guns are modified, however other weapons, even on rare occasion swords, can have this done to them.
I hope this coveres most everything, but if no, just ask me anything you like in the OOC, or through PM, and i'll answer it as best I can

Looking around, the place was full. There were a few locals throwing darts and playing some card games at the tables further back. Baurus was at his place behind the bar, serving drinks, talking up the customers, cleaning the bar up as he did it all.
"There's my favorite Hellion whisperer!" Alan says, walking over and slapping Vyndran on the back. "How's it going? can I buy you a brew?"
"Fair enough I suppose, and only if you want to old buddy." Vyndran answered with a laugh, signaling Baurus over. "So, got any news for me from the old man?"
"Yeah, actually," Alan's voice dropped a little, but he managed to keep up the false happy tone in front of his darkly toned words. "He's letting the carrions fly at dawn, or near to it anyway, and they're going after the turltle to the west. They got some sharp talons too, I tell ya what!"
What all that actually meant was this; the general, or old man, was sending out a troop of men known as Reapers, code carrions, who were going to try and wipe out the cashe of crystals, the tuttle in the west, located in a cave on the northwest coast of the elves land, hiddend in a cave. And, as you might have guessed, sharp claws meant big guns.
"No problem, don't worry about it. Just have a drink and get home on time, otherwise the old man will worry himself to death." Vyndran said, takinghis mug of brew with him as he stood up, "If you excuse me, I'm headed south." Going into the basement.

As he journeyed deeper into the forest he saw trees that had oak doorways that led inside beautiful houses that he could only imagine had all sorts of magic enchanted items, such as a never ending fire that burned from eternal logs or how high the staircases led up to until it became pure wood, he saw many perches out of the tree where people could look out and just think about the world they lived in.
He entered a beautiful room made purely out of ice he looked down to see himself, a man with bright green eyes and brown hair and wearing his almost leather looking like clothes, but it wasn't this get up was to strike fear in his enemies hearts. Unfortunately it was the only clothes he had so when he entered the town he looked terrifying, not that his appearances here mattered he was still regarded as a beast. at the end of the passage way he saw a room made purely out of crystal with a officer and his two grunts there with him, the two grunts seemed to be wearing "Official" Police clothes but caragel knew that the officer made them wear it to look stupid, making them wear human officer clothes. the officer himself wore a shirt that was weaved in blue crystal. his trousers and gloves were weaved with the same material.
The officer looked and with a frown spoke "What do you want creature". Caragel looked him in the eye ignoring his comment "Payment" he said pulling out two faces that had been completely drained of blood all that was left was the skin tissues. "Sometimes I think you enjoy what you do too much" The officer spoke taking the tissues and throwing them in a dump and then said "I'll inform the people of your service here today. You have two hours to stay then get out or you will be the next one in that dump". Walking away caragel spoke in a stern manner "I'll be gone soon enough"

"Captain, we're didn't train our asses of for nothing, we know the drill," one of the snipers said, smirking, and then the group moved out.
First the snipers moved into position, taking their aim and then fired their weapons at the guards on the towers. In the meantime the main group had split up and were now moving in at different directions, attacking from the north, east and west of the elven base, all armed with weapons and had silencers on them. With the sentries taken out, the soldiers began to climb over the walls and entered the elven fort.
On the walls, the soldiers knew that there were patrols inside the fort and they opened fire on the paroling elven warriors, making quick work of them before they descended down and into the center of the fort from where they quickly moved from cover to cover.
A grenade was thrown into one of the houses, and those that came out due to the commodity, only to find themselves facing a hail of bullets. With record time and precision, the soldiers moved through the fort. Blowing the doors up, the soldiers stormed in, shooting the royal elven guards, and then moved up to the noble elf, " Captain Holt...And you, sire, is coming with us!" Holt said, pointed his gun at the elven noble and fired, shooting a single shot at the elf, hitting him with a single shot that sending a sleeping compound through the creature's body and making him unable to move.
A bell went off and the supposedly killed elves stood up and began to moan, "Damn it Holt...Why the hell do you need to be so fucking quick? I barely hit the floor before i had five bullets in my bulletproof vest," one the elves said and then began to take off the ears, clothes and other features that the elves had.
"Toughen up soldier," Holt commented, "You need to be able to take a few bullets when you are facing the elves. Those bastards aren't as easy, and you need to be smart, mobile, and most of all..be able to improvise at any time."
With that said the men turned around and began to walk back to the military base.
"What's the matter Hans? Can't you take a hit anymore?"
"I can, so shut up...You come before planned, and none of our scouts found you, how did-"
"That's cuz we killed them before any of them managed to spot us. How else do you think that we managed to get this close?"
"Damn bastard!"
"That's enough...Remember why we do this!" Holt called back as they approached the military base.
The group was approached by a lieutenant general who saluted Captain Holt and then said, "This cold war just got hell of a lot hot. We're on for a real war, and you, and your platoon is one of the first that will be send off to find more information about the elves."
"Sir?"
"Orbital pictures aren't enough for this army. We know a lot through their structure through that, yes, however we do not have sufficient information from the elves themselves, their society and their way of fighting. Can we count on you?"
"Sir, yes sir. Sir, doesn't the Field Marshal have captives from previous operations?"
"Captain...Some things are not said out load, understood?"
"sir, yes sir."
"Good. Now have your men ready, for any missions that will send you behind enemy lines, understood?"
"Sir, yes sir!"

Kanade stood up and saluted the officer as he walked off the stage. She rubbed the back of her neck where they had recently tattooed her number in the back of her neck. It was weird but she felt a sense of pride at having that number there. 83-246-8. She headed towards the door of the briefing room hoping to get back before all the shower's were taken when a young officer approached her. "Private First class Kanade, You are to report to the Captain's office immediately. "Yes sir" she said before changing directions and heading to the staff office.
Upon arriving to the captains office, kanade knocked on the door and responded with a gruff "come in." She walked in the room and saluted. "Private First Class Kanade reporting, Sir" The officer looked her over for a second before asking her to sit down. "Private" he said "You will not be joining your comrades on the border. A few generals have taken a special interest in you. Instead you will be transferred into a small Special Operations team under the command of Captain Henreich Holt. The men refer to his platoon as "The Green Bastards" Indeed she had heard of them, they were on of the best teams out there with a near spotless record. They were legends among the camp. "Your helicopter leaves at 1600. I expect you ready to ship out two hours before that."
"Yes sir" and she walked out the door. Three hours later she was dressed, packed and on the chopper.

"Why are you asking? We are ready to blow this camp up on your orders," Holt's sergeant said. The sergeant was the 'Anti-Elf' unit, specialized in dealing with elves and their society. He knew what there was to know when dealing with elves, it was a standard unit that all platoons had to have when they were off to fight the elves.
"I'll go over the plan, once again. We will go on this stealth plane, drop down behind enemy lines at 05:15 hours, parachutes folks. Followed by that, we will head North-West for thirteen clicks, so get ready for a hell of a march. Once we come within reach of the cave where the enemy is located, we will observe their defenses, that means you five scouts, understood? I hope you brought thermal scopes this time," Holt said and there was a small laughter amongst the troops. "That's good, now...Since there are no orbital pictures of the cave or how it is structured is beyound the entrance...so, what do we do?"
"Improvise!" all the men responded, and then they turned and walked towards the stealth plane that would carry them to the elven lands. On the way, a major approached Holt, saluted and then gave him a sheet of paper, saying, "change in plans, captain. You will have assigned some of the better soldier that you could wish for, amongst your ranks."
"what? A new medic?" Holt asked as he opened the papers and read them. "Sir, Permission to speak freely?"
"Granted."
"This is fucking bullshit! You are giving me a freak, a fucking half-breed! This monster should have been shot when it joined us, what does this bastard think he can do that my men can't? You tell me, sir?"
"She, captain, is an alchemist and she will assist you...whether you like it or not. Its from the Field Marshal's, and members of the Pentagon. Refuse this, you, and your hole damned platoon faces a firing squad. Have a good journey and get to know this new friend of yours," with that the major turned and walked off. "Fucking cunts!...Well, they haven't altered everything from the original plan."
Holt turned and walked over to the stealth air plan and then called, "Everyone get out, and off with the parachutes! Change in plans." Although the men were surprised with the sudden change in plans, they obeyed, took off their parachutes and then left the stealth aircraft and followed their captain. "Sir, what's the matter?"
"Bureaucrats, that's what's wrong."
"I see. So...What now?"
"we will have an alchemist attached to our platoon, and we use black hawks instead of the new stealth plane. Sucks...I was looking forward to that jump."
"We all were."
The platoon approached the readied black hawks were Holt could see there stood someone was waiting for them. Approaching the figure, Holt stopped when he saw the figure up close. It wasn't much bigger than a child, hell, it was a child! If this was a joke, then it was a very poor one, indeed.
"Captain Heinrich Holt, leader of the 3rd platoon in the 7th infantry regiment. And you must be...Private Kanade. The alchemist attached to my platoon. My apologies, but i find it hard to believe that a child would be in the army, yet of all...A Half bred one. What qualified you to be with the The Green Bastards? Can you go three days without food? Can you fire a gun under suppressive fire of the enemies? Do you have any experience with real battles? I doubt it, so listen up. I'm the captain of this platoon, and you better do what me and my sergeant says, do what we order you to do, and stay out of our way, understood?"
Holt wasn't treating Kanade unfairly, he had treated every single member of his squad similarly, and they had all turned out to be some of the best soldiers he could ever hope to get, now...He had to use these methods on a child. It seemed so unethical to do, however...Who was Holt to judge, alchemists could be skillful at an early age or at a later age, so he would have to wait and see.
"The men are on board sir!" one of the sergeants called.
"You can answer my questions on the tour, and I'll answers yours," Holt said and then went into the black hawk helicopter.

"We're leaving out, wanna come along Alan?" Vyndran asks, walking over and laying his money on the counter before finishing off his brew.
"No, sorry, I gotta get back home, it's gotten late, and the old man will begin wondering where I am..." Alan says with a sigh, laying his money down as well. "But, I'll be back tomorrow so you can tell me about it, what really happened anyway. You know my father, when it goes bad he tries to cover it up..."
The two of them shook hands, clasping each others forearms, then both headed for the door. Alan climbed onto a standard issue military motorcycle with a sidecar, which he'd painted matte black, and donned his helmet. In second the engine revved and he was gone, back down the road towards the small 'all friendly' dock where the ferrymen would give anyone a ride anywhere for the right price.
Vyndran watched his friend go, then sighed as he climbed onto the back of his Hellion, Raze. "Come on boy, we got a long way to go before dawn. The humans will be on their way there already. I just hope the men are in place and ready. Otherwise, we may have to go with Plan B, and just blow the place up with a spell... I'd really hate to lose all those crystals though, and think of the damage it's cause, a huge crater, lots of dead bodies...it's be a big mess..."

At the cave itself the guards were on alert for anything coming into the area of the cave. There were a couple of Natural Elves hidden in trees a few miles out, their pets roaming the ground level. Between those posts and the cave were varying booby traps set up on the spot. Snares, pit falls, those sort of things, and all of them blended in seemlessly because it was all done by natural materials.
Sin'rel, a sort of general among the half-breeds, stood inside the cave, blanding into the shadows thanks to his Hollow Elf mother. In his arms he carried a modified military issue assult rifle, filled with storm spell rounds which would do two things. One, it would be loud as well, and two, aside from the bullets, it would fire static electricity into the air, and anyone who got close enough as it went off would get a shock.
"Everything is in place sir. I don't know of anything else we can do at this point." said one of the younger human rebels, who held a similar weapon. "We aren't prepared for this assult, why not just move the crystals, or go ahead and blow the place?"
With a stern look Sen'rel spoke to the boy, "Do you know how many crystals we have here? Or how many different types os spells are contained with in? There are over five thousand stockpiled in this one cave base. Yes, we are moving some of the rarer one out by boat, north towards the swamps, but even so, we don't have the man power to move them in such a short amount of time. And on top of that, where would we put them?" he went quiet for a moment, allowing this to sink in, then, when he saw the frown, he continued, "And, if we were to blow this place now, none of us would survive. But, if it comes to that, to PLan B, we wait. We await until they get close to the cave, and take out as many of them as possible..."

He got closer and she began to pick out individual pieces of his description, memorizing his looks for future reference. She felt almost like a giddy little girl meeting this legend in person, though she knew what to expect of him. He actually looked slightly amused at having what he must think, a child, in his platoon. She stood at attention and gave him a salute as he came by and readied herself for a mouthful.
"Captain Heinrich Holt, leader of the 3rd platoon in the 7th infantry regiment. And you must be...Private Kanade. The alchemist attached to my platoon. "Sir yes sir" She said still standing at attention. in front of him. Truth is she could answer all of his questions really easily, on top of that three days without food was nothing, try two and a half weeks with only some bread and a little soup at the end.
"You can answer my questions on the tour, and I'll answers yours"
That was interesting. He had questions about her. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as she thought. She climbed into the blackhawk after him and took her place. The squad members stared at her, she could feel their eyes digging into her, some were questioning, most were hateful though. They were all looking down on her but she was looking straight ahead and meeting the gaze.

"Positive! Those bastards doesn't even know what the hell a gun is. Intelligence suggests that the rebels we will attack is a mixture of...Halves and elves, so there will most likely be guns at wherever we are headed," the sergeant replied confidently and Holt nodded.
"Very well."
"Hey, Captain, you know a lot about the secret ops that the military does...Is it true that the military has planted orbital stations armed with nukes in space? Why the heck have soldiers when we can nuke them all?" one of the soldiers asked.
"The elves has more resources than we do, and as you know a bit too well, we need them more than the elves does; if we nuke the hell out of the elves we win, big time...However we also loose something which we could have gained," Holt explained and the soldier said a 'Oh...Right,' as he realized that.
"Alright men...05:10. Here we go!" Holt said, and the door was opened and the black hawks landed on the ground, a good deal past the beach, the soldiers jumped out and quickly surveyed the area with their thermal scopes and then made it for the forests.
"Pick up in at 18:30. The beach, don't be late!" the pilot called to Holt before he jumped out as well.
"Into the forest," Holt ordered and the men made their way towards the forest, one or two soldiers running besides Kanade, to make sure she too came along with the soldiers.
"Alright, men, listen we-" Holt said, however he stopped as he stepped in a large puddle of water and then began to survey this 'forest' he had directed his men into. "Where the hell is the forest?" It was true, there was no forest, the thing that Holt had led his men into was more like a swamp, with small paths, and loads of water.
Holt turned and looked at the anti-elf unit, who was equally silent. "Well? What is this James?"
"I have read that the elves could manipulate the nature, but I had no idea that...This was possible."
"How old were those orbital pictures anyway?"
"A few weeks old. Seems like the elves knew we were coming...Well, lets not disappoint them," Holt said and then quickly barked a single order that all the soldiers knew, "Adapt!"
The soldiers' former uniform that was designed to deal with forests were quickly made muddy as the soldiers smudged out the colors with the mud there was, they planted a few plants on their body so they could mix in with their new terrain. Soon the colors of their former green uniform was replaced with a muddy gray color that canceled out the green.
"North-West. Thirteen clicks, or thirteen kilometers, lets get going boys!" Holt ordered, and two of the scouts ran ahead of the main platoon, while the main army formed a single line file that marched at a good pace, armed and ready.
Kanade was led up to the front with Holt and his two sergeants. "so alchemist, lets see what you can do," Holt said.
The march wasn't particular brutal, with the scouts ahead of them and a clear link between them they had a clear signal for where they were suppose to go, and since James, their anti-elf soldier insisted that the elves didn't have any form of way to hack into their lines, they didn't have to worry about their lines being listened, or tapped. It was awkward for Holt to have so much freedom when it came to the elves, as he had been trained knowing that the enemy was able to do similar things to the humans.
"What about the rebels? Didn't you say they could have guns? Why not something similar?" Holt asked.
"Point proven...Though I doubt it," sergeant James said.
"I'm glad I'm the leader..I think, unlike you...You and your specialization with elves...You don't know shit."
"I love you too captain."
"Captain....We have engaged...Scouts. Elves. Neutralized, half a click from your current position, over," one of the scouts called over the radio.
"Stay put, we will be there shortly. Stay sharp," Holt answered, and shortly after the conversation, they met up with the two scouts who looked down on an elf with a hole of a small soccer ball in it's chest.
"Good thing we had silencers on. Else the hole swamp would have heard us," one of the scouts said.
"Were there any animals nearby?"
"None that we saw," the scout answered.
"Why?" Holt asked
"Some reports suggests that animals and elves work together, in fact it is a standard procedure to ask this."
"Very well. Alchemist, prepare to roast any bird you see swarming above us," Holt ordered and then they continued to the march.
"Cave spotted. We have the needed information, captain," it sounded over the radio, after another good hour's march, and Holt ordered his men for a hold, before they would attack the cave. As the scouts returned they briefed about the defenses of the cave.
"Alright...There are a few more scouts around the cave, some have cats, others have birds. None of them has seen us. At the mouth of the cave, there are half-breeds, they have set up a good defense, however they had a flaw in their plan.
They stacked up bags of sand and created a good bunker, however, they haven't made a single form of protection for their chest and above...So, they would most likely survive a direct assault, however, sniper fire would take them out. One shot, one kill. There was one human officer, obviously an exile, so that's where they have gotten this idea of defense. Besides that, we can't see much more, captain, the rest is underground, and we will have to be careful."
Holt nodded as he looked down on there very, very rough sketch the scouts gave him, through using a stick and the muddy ground, "Here's the plan. We take out their scouts, all soldiers from now on silence their weapons-" Holt ordered and the soldiers placed silencers on their weapons-"Followed by that, you five will take out their major defense at the mouth of the cave. Once that is done, we will enter the cave, there will be no connection, so no point in trying to have com down there, so one com unit and four scouts stay behind and guard the mouth. No retreat men.
We will enter the cave and start our original plan. Search and destroy. What weapons these rebels have in store, we do not know, however...Remember, we are against half-breeds, so there could be some magic, and most likely loud gun fire. Neutralize at will, and Kanade...For the full destruction of the cave, we will need some of your powers. I doubt we have enough explosives with us to blast a hole cave back to the stone age. Any questions?"

The captains plan was brilliant, quick and effective. "Sir" she said "We won't need many explosives if intel is right. The crystals are somewhat explosive in nature. "Scouts have reported a disturbance to the south. We're waiting for them to move closer before we let our positions be known, but-" Sin'rel was cut off by a clap of thunder.
One of the rebels had stumbled onto the humans by accident, as far as Vyndran could guess, and let off a shot. This shot probably didn't manage to kill anyone, just scare them maybe, and alert them to where the poor fellow was. There was a good chance that now, only seconds later, he was already dead. The humans hated half-breeds and would show them no mercy. Just in case the attack was about to happen Vyndran drew one of his Alchemic revolvers with his left hand and reached into a small pack he carried with him, taking out what looked like a glass grenade with a small flame inside.
"Is that what I think it is?" Sin'rel asked, a little in awe.
"Yep. This is an Alchemic napalm grenade. Just pull the pin and toss it, and by the time it gets over the target, boom! the fire spell goes off, creating napalm, which comes down in a rain over the enemy." Vyndran says with a smile. "I got others, here, keep em safe till you have to use em. And don't hesitate to do so."

"My queen, I have recieved reports of human activity to the north." one of the sentinal Noble Elves said, nowing to his queen. "Should we take action against them?"
"Why are they there?" Queen Alyss asks curiously, "Do we know why? The rebels must be involved. If not, the only thing I could think they'd be doing is setting up a base of them own, but they should know by now that we can very easily change our landscape."
"Yes my queen..."
"Hm...very well, send a small group up to check on things. A group of ten should do, with at least three rangers, although more would be better." Alyss says, thinking. "And send a few Spellguard, just to be case.

"No...I knew the elves had crystals and things like that, but...Never that they were explosive. Must be alchemy then," James said as he shook his head.
"Very well...Timed bombs then, do we have any?" Holt asked out amongst his troops, and they went through their gear. "No...Not here...I've got some grenades and some string...I have a XM 230 and a detonator, it might work," it came from the soldiers, and Holt nodded, "Bomb and detonator it is then. Lets get moving."
With that, the scouts returned to face the mouth of the cave, and opened fire. Their silencers suppressed the majority of the noise that their powerful sniping rifles made. The heavy team was quickly shot down, followed by a surprise attack from the majority of the group, who made easy work of the remaining of the defenders, "Alright, you know who you are, so stay here and guard the mouth of the cave!" Holt ordered and then motioned for the rest of the team to put on their night vision goggles and then move through the dark caves.
The soldiers moved quickly through the tunnels. There were some form of light that occurred both from natural plants, mushrooms and other wildlife creations, and then there were oil lamps and other form of primitive ways to get light. Holt and his men had fallen completely silent as they were moving through the tunnels of the caves, they used some form of silent language to communicate with each other.
As they made a turn, a pair of rebels were walking down the tunnel. Taken by surprise of the human soldiers, they didn't manage to react till their chests had at least four bullets in them, however, this time their silencers didn't was as effectively as they were up on the surface, so they had to be more silent.
The group made it to one of the storage rooms, Holt, Kanade and three other soldiers entered the room where there were both human and elven weapons, plus a lot of harvested crystals, "Alright get the bomb strapped here, where the crystals are, and then lets hope that the explosion will seal both the entrances and destroy their weapon stash here."

Slowly her hands roamed over her body, double checking to make sure she had everything. Her two daggers where in their rightful spots, one in her right boot and the other on her lower back. Strapped to her back was a black leather bag that held the supplies she would need to survive traveling, though she didnโt really need them able to fend for herself she took it because her guards made her. Around her neck was the only jewellery she wore and the only sign of her position was a deep black jewel that changed colors depending on her mood with the hallow elf insignia in silver sketched on top of it. Sure she had everything she started on her journey out of the Hallow Elf territory and into the forest.
Now sure where she was going, having never really left her territory is a long time, in no time she was completely lost. Shrugging she shoulders she wasnโt really worried. Instead she started to sing, a haunting melody that all of her people knew about how the first Hallow Elf came to be. It was moving, in a scary, sad kind of way. Her voice rang out clear in the forest, the birds silent as they listened to her before signing along with her. Smiling as she walked Sinfira looked up at the think canopy of the forest, a bounce in her step. She kind of feltโฆhappy. It was something she hadnโt felt in a long time and it was refreshing. What ever laid ahead of her she was sure she could handle it because of this one moment of happiness.

"These are detonators, The elf controlling them will attack me in a moment, for control. NO matter how much I scream, do not take these crystals out of my hand." She could feel the elf probing her magic, like needles piercing her skin and then it began. Like a knife the elf's magic hit her's and she sucked her breath in. This would be a fight to see who's magic would be depleted first, to the death.. She could feel tears coming down her eyes and then a second stab came at her and she screamed. She was writhing on the floor screaming, this elf was stronger then the others. He was better at fighting this way then the servants. Her magic was like a snake striking his and biting trying to strangle the other. She could see the others watching her some in shock and some in horror. The pain was excruciating and struck to her very soul. This went on for what seemed like hours and it felt like her skin was being torn off the sharpest of razorblades. One of the knifes pulled out and made a motion to hit again but it dissipated. She bit her arm till it was bleeding to stay conscious through it and ended up screaming as the magic struck again. And then it stopped. The other elf's connection had broken. Her head was foggy and she seemed to be in and out of consciousness. She looked at her hand to see it burnt badly from the crystals but they were out, empty. She slumped over and lost consciousness.

There stood two soldiers ready to carry Kanade, the rest had left the cave under Holt's orders and Holt had a bit more distance from Kanade, both so he could run for the exit.
Holt didn't like leaving a man behind, although an alchemist was hard to train and Kanade was so young, she didn't deserve to die like this, though what impressed Holt the most about Kanade was her very mature behavior. For one that young to be so brave was very striking to Holt.
Then Kanade lost consciousness. This was not expected, by neither Holt nor his soldiers as none of them understood how alchemy and magic worked. Acting fast, the soldiers picked Kanade up and ran with whatever speed their legs could muster, through the cave; moments later they had picked her up, the magical detonators exploded, making the earth rumble and shake violently and a shock wave send the soldiers, Holt and Kanade flying through the air. Getting back on their feet, the managed to sprint the last few meters before they reached the end of the cave, one soldier getting hit by a large stone on his angle, breaking it and then a good deal of dust and rocks flying after them.
The cave collapsed inside and the soldiers outside experienced some of the water from the swamp began to overflow and made their shoes wet. "Just what I needed!" Holt roared after having spat out a mouthful of mud and water. Holt had landed with his face first on the ground, and even with open mouth. did it get any better?
"Make a sound if you are alive!" Holt called out, and the soldiers reported back with groans, jokes and comments, such as, "I think there's a bug sucking my blood!...Who is sitting on me!...I think I broke a nail!"
"Good to hear, somebody, give Kanade some water, fresh water for that sake, and then lets get out of here!" Holt called and the wounded soldier was given treatment for his broken angle, and then supported by one of his friends.
Holt had the soldier to march a relatively easier march back than the time when they were walking towards the the cave, so there were more pauses and time to make sure that the wounded soldier was given a more careful treatment. Kanade was also given some treatment, however the soldiers wouldn't force her awake as they weren't sure if she could take it at such an young age.

Re: [OOC] Magic, Metal, and something between
Anyways, since you say that, you know what it means?...Timed bombs! All the time you need to get your arse out of there...Just need to make sure that any of the men got a bomb with them...if that doesn't work, then a trail of gas should do the trick.
