A loud alarm startled Harper awake. "Ack!" she squeaked and tumbled off the side of her bed, cracking her head on the side table while she was at it. On the bright side, she managed to shut the thing up on the fall down. She gingerly rubbed her head. It was almost time for her to get to work. "Dang it!" she said and shot to her feet. The girl speed dressed, just taking whatever she found off the top of her drawers. Honestly, she could care less how she looked. She grabbed some old shorts, silver flip flops, and a navy blue off the shoulder top and a black sports bra. She finished getting dressed and skipped to the bathroom, banging on the door for her cousin Gwen to get out.
"Hey! Gwen! Get outta the bathroom mate, I have to get ready!" she yelled.
"Wait a minute!"
...five minutes later.
"Gwen! Get your skinny butt out of that dang bathroom before I knock the door down!" she pounded on the door, blowing a strand of brown bed head hair from her face. Luckily, the blond haired cousin got out.
"Sheesh, calm down. Little angry Aussie we have here." she mumbled.
Harper's uncle, aunt, and cousin were American, but she was Australian, forced to move in with them after her family... she shuddered... passed.
She shook her head clear and rushed in, easily straightening her hair and applying minimal makeup. She didn't ever overdo it, and barely wore any. Just to make her chocolate brown eyes pop. Keys, keys... she thought and practically fell down the stairs, knocking into her uncle.
"Move it!" he yelled, shoving her aside.
"Sorry!" she yelped, her shoulder slamming into the wall. She moved even faster, snatching her keys off the counter and grabbing her phone. Then, she darted outside, climbing into her little red 1993 Chevy S10 pickup. She thrust the keys into the ignitions and turned on the radio. To calm herself down, the energetic 17 year old sang along quietly, her silky voice matching pitch. It was rather strong though. Then, as the car warmed up, she sped off.

Pulling into her usual parking space, Harper headed off into the Ontario Mills Mall. She hummed quietly and skipped to the doors, swinging them open, and then Jogging off to H&M. Her eyes trailed the other stores.. What sucked, it that she really didn't want to work at the clothing store... She'd rather work at a music store, or a sports store. She blew a stray strand of hair from her face and slowed to a brisk walk, looking around for any of her friends. They tend to wander around or just be opening up. Since she's moved about two months ago, she had made quiet a bunch of friends. Harper yawned and slowed more, looking about. She could see H&M a couple stores down, so she could relax a bit. Her flip flops made a faint slapping on the ground. The lights were dim, and the sun was bright int he morning, illuminating her naturally tan skin and chestnut brown hair. Her blue and white crackle painted nails as well. She sighed and grabbed the keys that unlocked the store, and slid them into the key hole, opening up.
