Personality

Likes
Basketball, skateboarding, guitar, burgers, working out, and music. She loves making music, although she barely lets anyone hear it.
Dislikes
Staying home, her dad, bullying, being treated like an idiot, and people talking about her last championship game. She also hates talking about her emotions and hates describing why basketball is so important to her.
Personality
Rylie acts extremely cocky, a jokester, flirty with girls, and charming. She tends to show off during basketball and skateboarding, and would rather confront her problems physically. She hates talking about her home life or why she does what she does. Ry uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism, along with getting into fights. She's rebellious and reckless most of the time, and basketball is the only thing she ever seems to be serious about. Her love for skateboarding is only matched by her love for making music; however, despite these being her passions, she is a fantastic basketball player. Rylie knows that most of the teachers will give her a break since she's the star point guard for the girl's basketball team, so she isn't too worried about getting in trouble for the pranks she pulls at school. Despite her cocky attitude, Rylie is actually extremely sincere and caring for her friends. She doesn't say it, but it shows in her actions and the fact that she'll often take the fall for her friends if they're about to get caught. Rylie also has a reputation for being a bit of a player, finding it easy to talk to girls and isn't afraid of rejection, because Ry never really looks for anything serious. If she actually really likes a girl though, she loses her suave behavior and sounds like a stuttering idiot most of the time.

History
Rylie was born in Chicago and lived there until she was four with her mom and dad. Her dad's career really took off and he was beginning to hit gold with some of his clients (he's an NBA Agent), so they moved to LA. Her mother at the time was really depressed, and when Rylie was six, her mother killed herself. Her dad was at work and Rylie was the one to find her. Ever since then, something inside her dad broke. He blamed Rylie whole-heartedly for the death of his wife, and he abused Rylie for the first time right after the funeral. After that, her dad hired a nanny to watch Rylie while he worked, always firing them in a couple of months so they wouldn't be suspicious of the abuse. Rylie grew up learning to avoid him while he was home and especially if he was drunk. When she was thirteen, they moved again. This time they lived in Tampa, and Rylie was old enough that her father didn't bother with a nanny. From the age of eight, Rylie played basketball and skateboarded. While her dad said that music and skateboarding was a waste of time, he encouraged the basketball. She found that if she did well, he wouldn't be as angry at her. Pretty soon, he would send her off to basketball camps and traveling teams, and Rylie knew she'd be safe for at least a little while.

When she was a freshman, Rylie was the starting point guard for the Tampa Lions. She took her team all the way to the state championship game, but they lost in the second quarter by seven points. Rylie had fouled out in the second quarter of that game, and her dad was furious. Immediately after the medals were passed out and Rylie had both her second place medal and the MVP award she was given around her neck, she was trembling. She could see her dad on the sidelines, his face red with fury and disappointment. Her coach at the time told her she did good and it was alright, they played their best. He didn't realize that Rylie wasn't shaking from just losing the game, but from fear. Before she could open her mouth to respond to her coach, her dad grabbed her by the arm of her warm up jacket and yanked her behind him all the way to the car. The car ride was silent and Rylie leaned as far against the door as possible, trying to put distance between her and her fuming father. When they arrived home, Rylie endured the worst night of her life. She'd broken two ribs, her right arm, and suffered a concussion. The next day, her father drove her to the emergency room saying that she got beat up from some skater punks she hung out with. And her father being the rich, powerful man that he is, had the doctors and nurses nodding in agreement.

Her friends asked her about the injuries, but she just shrugged it off, too ashamed by the fact that she lost the championship game for her team. Parts of her believed her father when he was telling her that everything was her fault and that she was weak and a coward. They moved again when Rylie was fifteen, this time she attended Manor Hill High School. The season of basketball, Ry earned her spot as starting point guard, and they won regional championship, but unable to advance further. She's been going there for about a year now, and from her stats, everyone was expecting her to lead the Tigers to state this year. Her friends are mainly the rebel crowd, though she loves skateboarding and music. The jocks mostly think she's either too alternative for them, or hate the fact that she's practically obsessed with winning in basketball.

Other
Rylie has scars all across her back from that night her dad used a leather belt. She also has a tattoo on her left forearm that says: "I am Invincible" It's in cursive and black ink.

It was the second week of school. Basketball is still a ways away... She thought to herself as she lazily walked through the nearly empty halls. It was alright though, since she was seen as the rebel crowd. She reached her locker, keying in the combination and giving it a swift hit. Her locker had always been sticky, and wouldn't open without some force. As it popped open, she shoved her skateboard inside and pulled out a notebook and pen. She might at least pretend to care. Rylie yawned as she walked into her first period late. U.S. History was probably her least favorite class ever. She physically couldn't stay awake, but that didn't matter much since the teacher didn't care.

"Rylie, you're late again. This is your last warning." The teacher huffed, but everyone knew it was a bluff. Rylie may be a rebel, but she was the school's best point guard for girl's basketball. With the season they had last year, everyone was expecting them to make it to state this year... and win. A lot of the teachers gave her leeway for being a jock, even if she refused to admit it.

"Whatever." She shrugged, smirking at a pretty girl that was sitting in her class. Taking a seat at the very back, Rylie promptly began her nap. It was peaceful until the bell rang. Rylie jumped awake, knocking her black and white snapback off her head. Groggily, Ry scratched the back of her neck as she picked up her hat and headed out of the classroom. People were scrambling between classes, afraid of being late or getting trampled. Rylie spotted a few of the popular girls, smirking as she threw a wink every once in a while. Everyone in the school knew Rylie was a lesbian, and Ry was never typically too short of girls being interested. The main problem was that a lot of guys hated the fact that their girlfriends usually suffered a girl crush on Ry. With her dark blue and black plaid shirt over her black tank, it was easy to see her tight abs and Damn, am I proud of my abs. Just as Rylie turned a corner, some girl bumped into her, but Rylie didn't budge. The girl however was sent sprawling to the floor and her notebooks scattered. The girl was cute, and by her red face, Rylie could tell she was embarrassed.

"Hey, you alright, sweetheart?" Rylie asked charmingly, offering a hand to help the girl up. However, the girl only nodded dumbly up at her, staring at the dark haired rebel. As the bell rang, the girl seemed to snap back to her senses, quickly accepting the helping hand. "Didn't hit you're head, right?" Ry chuckled, referring to her spacing out.

"N-No..." She blushed brightly, ducking her head as she mumbled a 'thank you' and something about being late for class. Rylie laughed, scratching her neck with a content smirk. A little ego boost every day never hurt anyone. As she wandered to her next class, Rylie half imagined skipping again... but she did skip last Friday, so she'd just have to suck it up for now. Entering her Algebra II, Rylie sat at the back again, ignoring the glare from the teacher. She was actually extremely good with math, and the class was just a breeze for her so far. Kicking her feet up on the chair directly in front of her, Rylie smirked as the girl in front rolled her eyes. Glancing around, she was hoping to have a more entertaining morning...

With a yawn, Rylie perked up as people were working on their assignments. Spotting Christina in the middle row, Ry casually stood up with her book and slid into the desk next to Christina. Rylie knew the other girl from the basketball team, and from around the school being that they were in the same grade. The other girl always held a special spot for Ry after seeing practices and being in games where the girl had the same drive to win as Rylie herself had. It was a trait that Rylie constantly found herself drawn to subconsciously. Ignoring the irritated glare from the teacher behind the desk, Rylie leaned over to glance at Christina's work. Quickly swiping the calculator off the desk and typing "hello" with the numbers, Rylie tossed the device right in the middle of Christina's work before sporting a huge smirk.

"Hope you weren't missing me too much." Leaning in, whispered confidently to Christina with a signature grin. Rylie quirked an eyebrow with a smirk as she pretended to open her book and work on the homework problems. "You're looking hot as usual by the way." She muttered offhandedly, checking the other girl out.

Christina was deep in concentration as banged out the math problems one by one. She wanted to have all the problems completed before class ended so that she wouldn't have homework tonight. At least so she wouldn't have math homework. She was so involved in her own work that she hadn't even noticed Rylie glancing at her work. She was in the middle of writing out a solution when her calculator plopped down in the middle of her work. Hello? Looking up she finally noticed Rylie in her presence with a huge smirk on her face.

As much as she didn't want to she couldn't help but smile. "Ciao Ry." Moving the calculator aside as she went back to doing the remaining math problems in the textbook. "Hope you weren't missing me too much." Christina giggled as Rylie's voice came through in a whisper in her ear. "Missing you?! Am not the one whispering in your ear now am I." Christina said looking up at that signature grin that she knew well written across Rylie's face.

Taking a seat beside her Rylie for the first time all period pretended to do some work. "You're looking hot as usual by the way." Christina noticed the teacher eying to the two girls and waited for her to look away before she replied. "Tell me something I don't know." She spoke jokingly with a smirk on her face. "Ms.Torres!" Looking up to the front of the room she saw the teacher sitting at her desk in the front of the room with her eyes deadlocked on her. "Solve the equation on the board!" With a simple nod she got up from her seat and walked to the front of the room.

Image

It only took a minute or so for her to solve the problem written on the white board. When she finished she looked over her shoulder at the teacher who gave her a nod with a smile, "Correct!" Smiling Christina sat down the marker and returned to her seat. As the next student was called up to do the next problem Christina started doing her the final homework problem she had left to do. "By the way, your not looking half bad yourself." She spoke without looking up from her work.

Rylie watched in a bit of amazement as Christina walked up to answer the problem on the board. It wasn't that Rylie didn't know how to solve it, but she certainly hadn't been paying enough attention to have finished it up so quickly. With a grin, Ry leaned back in her chair, tipping her hat low to hide the admiration in her navy irises. "Correct!" The teacher's satisfied expression made Rylie roll her eyes, even though she fought her own smile. Christina sat down again, finishing up her homework. Just when Rylie thought their conversation was going to die out, the other girl spoke again.

"By the way, you're not looking too bad yourself." Christina didn't glance up from her work, but Rylie's smirk sparked wide. That was definitely enough encouragement.

"I had to look good enough so I could sit next to you." Ry tipped her hat up this time, checking the clock quickly. Jumping up, Ry leaned over Christina's shoulder and murmured in her ear again. "And we both know you love it when I whisper in your ear." She left with her book under her arm just as the bell rang, much to the teacher's annoyance. She had gym to get to, and that was one of her favorite classes.

"Aaliyah do me a favor and calm the fuck down chica! No need to go opening the depths of hell over a damn note. We don't even know what the thing says. Will talk to her later about it." Aaliyah groaned loudly in annoyance. If anyone else had suppose to her like that she would already been a work scheming of ways to destroy them. Or in the least they would have gotten bitch slapped. However, this was Mikaela who was speaking to her so all she could do was shut up and wait, but just because she wasn't talking about it didn't mean she wasn't still thinking about it.

If it turned out that the note was what she thought it was being so kind of date. Then they would do things Mikaela's way. At first. Of course when the ways of words ultimately failed then she would get to do things her way. That way being the way that she preferred things as it was always a thousand times more fun. The bell rung moments later and the second it did Aaliyah got up out of her seat and walked over to Lillian. "Hey Brandon! Lil we need to talk."

Tristan observed Ashley's work as he jotted down her notes into his notebook. He was glad that he had pretty much the exact same schedule as so many of his friends. Everyone knew that he wasn't the smartest book wise and instead of making fun of him about it they'd help him. By help most of the time that just meant giving him the answers but there were a couple of hard asses who always wanted to do things the hard way by actually trying to teach him the material. He went to those people last.

"You know me well. After all the work I put in just to get you out the door today. I would have definitely been right back at your house dragging you out by your ankles." Tristan laughed as he pushed her book back to her, "Thank you." The bell sounded a couple of minutes after and Tristan took the completely lab up to the front of the room. "See you in history!" Tristan needed to stop by his locker before his next class and transfer books. Plus Ashley didn't really do his usual passing mingle.

"I had to look good enough so I could sit next to you." Christina replied with a simple giggle as she finished what was going to be tonight's homework. Looking up at the clock the bell was seconds from ringing so she started packing up her stuff. Rylie standing up leaned over her shoulder and whispered into her ear again. "And we both know you love it when I whisper in your ear." Laughing Christina just shook her head as the bell rang and Rylie was out the door.

Getting up from her desk she walked to the front of the room and handed her teacher the homework. "Nice work today Christina. Maybe next time you can refrain from sitting next to certain students." Christina knew exactly who the teacher was referring to and simply nodded in understanding. "Yes ma'am." Exiting the classroom Christina walked through the halls until she reached her locker. She stuffed her entire bag into the locker not needing anything in it for gym class.

Locking her lock back she turned around and was startled to see her brother standing behind her. "Jesus Tris!" She punched him in his shoulder which just made him laugh. "Scusi. Non volevo spaventarti." Both Christina and Tristan were fluent bilinguals speaking both English and Italian. It was uncommon for them to go back and forth between the two languages when having a conversation. "What do you have next?" Tristan asked as he looped his arm around Christina's shoulder and pulled her in as they began walking down the hall. "I've got gym. You?" Tristan groaned, "History. God I miss having gym! It was best subject." Christina laughed, "Il tuo tale jock!"

Tristan rolled his eyes as they stopped in front of the girls locker room. "I'll see you at lunch." He said playful nudging her towards the door. "Alrighty." Partially pushing opening the locker room door she eyed her brother trying to seek a peek through the crack. "Get out of here! Cosa striscia!" Tristan chuckled as he backed away slowly with his hands raised before turning around and running off to get to the class that he was now late for.

Italian to English translations

Scusi. Non volevo spaventarti. - Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you.
Il vostro un tale jock! - Your such a jock!
Cosa striscia! - Creeper

Rylie wasn't deaf, she'd heard about the blowout in physics with the popular girls and some poor guy. Of course, by the time it reached the girl's locker room at the beginning of the period, things were blown way out of proportion, at least that's in Rylie's opinion. With a roll of her eyes, Rylie changed into some black basketball shorts and a white tank top, careful to keep her back to the lockers to avoid people staring at the scars on her back. Hanging her hat onto the hook in the locker, Rylie sighed wishing she could still work out with the hat but knowing better. She liked to get some push ups and crunches in before the class started. Dropping down and doing thirty push ups, she jumped up immediately and did some abdominal crunches on the bench. Ry noticed a couple of the girls watching her as she finished up, her muscles warm and ready for class. Throwing a wink, she sat up and headed out to the gym. The gym teacher also happened to be the girl's basketball coach, Mr. Craig Daniels.

"You getting ready for the season, Scout?" His gruff voice caught the rebel's attention.

"Of course coach, I'm always ready." Rylie grinned, glancing around the court. She really just wanted to get back out there and forget everything.

"Stay out of trouble. We have state this year... and as the Captain, you're supposed to set a good example." Rylie frowned at the lecture he seemed to be giving her. She knew she was one of his favorites, but that didn't mean he ever went easy on her. Rylie was just glad that Christina would be in this class. Someone who knew what Coach Daniels was like. "You should warm up. Go start on some laps." He pointed to the court when he realized she wasn't going to respond. "Now, Scout!" He blew the whistle. Rylie ducked her head, still remaining silent as she began running around the court.

Gossip in high school spread faster than a cheetah running across the Savanna, especially the juicy gossip. It hadn’t even been a full period later and people already knew and were talking what had happened during Ms. Composto Physics class last period. From what Christina got out of the locker room chatter Aaliyah and some dude who no one seemed to know the name of got into some kind of verbal showdown. Giving the fact that no one knew who the guy was Christina chalked him off to be so kind of irrelevant nobody on the social ladder so she couldn’t imagine Aaliyah taking anything he said to seriously. Then again this was Aaliyah and giving up the opportunity to make someone’s life hell wasn’t in her nature.

Christina would get the full details during lunch when she saw her brother and the rest of the gang. For the time being she cut out the chatter and changed into her gym clothes.  Putting her hair up into a messy bun she exited the locker room and jogged to the gym.  The second her foot stepped into the gym she was spotted by the girl’s basketball coach. “Torres!” He blew into the whistle as if she had missed the sound of his booming voice.  Jogging over to her coach she came to a halt in front of the man, “Morning coach!”

“You getting pumped for the season? And when I say the season I mean our season not that damn softball - ”

“Am ready and pumped for both coach.” She didn’t know what the deal was between her basketball coach and her softball coach but whatever the problem was the two hated each other. They had been that way since she met them and probably before she even attended Manor Hill.  She always felt like the monkey in the middle when it came to the two coaches and they both made she to push her like crazy. Wanting to make sure that she was always prepared for their season.

“Go warm up than join Scout out on the court doing laps.” Christina wasn’t waiting around for him to blow that damn whistle again and she went on the sidelines and did a quick warm up to make sure she don’t pull anything during class. When she finished she ran across the court to where Rylie was and started running at the girl’s pace.

As the three popular girls exited their Physics class with arms linked like chains Aaliyah rolled her eyes in annoyance when she saw Akira waiting outside the classroom. She didn’t care if he did play on the football team the guy was no true jock and was annoying as hell. Gravitating to Lillian’s side he apologized for his cousin temper as if anyone cared. "Yoshio can overreact, sometimes. I could have intervened, but knowing him, it would not have worked. Perhaps reverse therapy is what he needs in order to learn to keep his cool. That temper of his is going to get him into trouble, one of these days. It's a wonder he hasn't received a black eye, by now." Rolling her eyes she glanced over at Mikaela who appeared to be just as annoyed with this jerk off as she was.

“Well that black eye could always be arranged.” While setting someone up for a beat down wasn’t really Aaliyah’s style she did have the power to make it happen and if pushed she wasn’t above it. "Yep, I heard the whole conversation. Nothing new, concerning the petty insults. Doesn't even bother me." This made Aaliyah laugh as she yet again rolled her eyes.  “Congrats on that. Maybe you should consider teaching your cousin the same trait. Or at least how to mind his own damn business when things don’t concern him.”, she added after Mikaela spoke. "Ladies first.", Akira spoke as they reached the Economics class room.

Entering the classroom behind Lillian Mr. Sobel wasted no time opening his mouth.  She rolled her eyes as Akira apologized like a polite Christian God taught him to be.  Of course Sobel being the obnoxious asshole that he was an apology just wasn’t good enough for the man and he sentenced the four teens to a day of after-school detention. Mikaela scoffed to which Mr. Sobel was not to please to hear.

"You have something you want to say Ms. Taylor?!" Mikalea was obviously at the end of her rope and Mr. Sobel just kept tugging. "As a matter of fact I do. ¡Adiós!" Turning to her and Lillian she spoke again, "I'll see you gals in English. Will talk about the whole note thing during lunch." Aaliyah nodded as Mikaela took her leave.

“Well Ms. Jordan do you plan on standing there the entire class or are you to take a seat?!” Aaliyah glared at her teacher for a moment before taking a seat with a couple of the jocks towards the back of the class. She hadn’t stopped by her locker so she didn’t have her books needed for the class. Not wanting to hear Mr. Sobel mouth again she took out her notebook from last period and had one of the boys copy their notes into her book for her. She would transfer the paper into the right book later.

Image
Image

Tristan watched Mikaela’s blow up and felt bad as she stormed out of the class. She was clearly not having a good Monday. He hoped that things would settle down by next period. He knew high school was all about drama but that didn’t mean he liked it. Ashley laugh got his attention as he just shook his head taking her notebook out of her lap and placing it on his desk.  Coping the notes he just couldn’t wait for this and next period to end so he could finally get to lunch.

"Funny how self-centered coaches are." Rylie laughed easily as Christina jogged along side now. "But then again, who am I to talk. Basketball is my only reason to exist." Ry gave her best smirk and shrugged as she continued to run, but she couldn't stop the bit of sarcasm that leaked into her words. Even with her smirk, Rylie couldn't help but continue her rant in her head. It really did bother her how the coaches acted like nothing else mattered, like the sport was the only reason to live...

Rylie's grin had dropped into a pensive expression, which suddenly turned frustrated. Out of habit, Rylie began to unconsciously sprint her laps instead of just jogging, pushing herself harder and faster to expend her pent up frustrations. Grinding her teeth, Rylie bit back the anger she felt, letting it flow to her legs to fuel her on. Faintly, Ry heard the whistle blow in the background of her mind and she blanked out a bit on where Christina even was, or what she thought of the sudden explosion of speed.

"Funny how self-centered coaches are." Christina laughed as she kept pace with Rylie. The girl wasn't lying the coaches in this school all had egos that could use a bit of deflating. She couldn't blame them though, Manor High was one of the top schools sport wise and every year its teams always seemed to bring back championships. Or in the least make it to finals which was the case with the girls basketball team last year.

While the lost was a big blow to the team and the school as a whole Christina didn't think it hit anyone the way it probably hit Rylie. Obviously coach Daniels had been pissed but she felt that was more because the softball had brought home the trophy and his team didn't. When it came to Rylie it seemed different though. No one one their team was as dedicated as she was not even Christina herself. So to have come so close just to lose must have really devastated the young rebel.

"But then again, who am I to talk. Basketball is my only reason to exist." Christina could hear the sarcasm in Rylie's words but all joking aside it couldn't be closer to the truth. "I can't say if that's admirable or just sad." Christina was all for commitment and doing her best but she didn't really live for either of the sports that she played. To her basketball and softball were just fun hobbies of her that she was good at and enjoyed. Plus on the bonus side she got a good workout from doing both which giving the fact that she wasn't really the treadmill and weights sort of girl.

Out of nowhere Rylie went for jogging to sprinting around the gym. Christina wasn't sure if it was what she had said or if Rylie was just lost in her own head. Whatever was going on with the girl Christina didn't attempt to keep pace as she continued jogging watching Rylie run off in the distance. When the whistle blew Christina came to a halt. She hadn't even realized how fast the period had went by. She had finished closed to the door and was one of the first girls out as she made her way to the showers.

Rylie knew she was running late to fourth period. The bell had already rang, signalling the end of third period. Rylie had her jeans on, just peeling her tank over her head. Sprinting out of the locker room, Ry stuffed her plaid button up shirt into her backpack, slinging it over her shoulder in her rush to make it to her Speech/Debate class. "Scout!" The gym teacher called out just before Rylie managed to escape. "Great work today. Keep improving and I know we can make it all the way this year. Counting on you kid! Now get to class." Throwing a smile, Ry nodded to her coach. As she exited the gym, she saw the halls thinning and knew the bell was about to ring. She heard a couple of girls giggling as she passed, offering little waves.

"Hey ladies, plenty of this to go around." Rylie smirked, walking backwards as she lifted her tank top a little to show her abdominal muscles. Without caring for their reactions, Ry turned to her locker and grabbed out her speech book. The bell rang, and Rylie groaned, leaning her forehead against the cold metal in exasperation. Her pocket buzzed.

*Your father will be in LA closing a business deal with a client. He'll be back next Tuesday. -Lucile* Of course, Lucile was her father's assistant and occasional fuck-buddy. The woman tried to pretend that she wasn't getting in the older Scout's pants, but Rylie knew better. With a wicked grin, Ry had a plan. She marched to her Speech/Debate class, opening the door with a cocky smirk. As she entered, the teacher Mrs. Nelson glared.

"Well since you decided to make such a big production of your entrance Rylie, how about you be our first volunteer. And your... tank top should cover your shoulders." The woman pushed her thick rimmed glasses up her nose, motioning for Ry to stand in the front of class. A few of the students snickered, and Rylie decided to join them. "We're just going to do an exercise... a short improv speech to help get everyone in the mood for class. Your topic is: I Could Never." Rylie only nodded, biting her lip a bit as she bit back a laugh. Tossing her bag on a chair, she stood in the front of the class. A few of the students knew to expect something from Rylie Scout, and swiftly pulled their phones out to tape it, hiding the devices from the teacher.

"I could never show up late for Speech class." Rylie grinned, staring right at the teacher for a second. "I could never kiss a girl." Winking at some of the girls in class, earning a bunch of laughs. Everyone knew Ry was gay. "I could never stand up here and tell you all that Friday night is going to be epic.... I could never do that, because I could never have an empty house this weekend. And I definitely could NEVER EVER expect to see you all there at say, around 10? Because you all know, I could never throw some sort wild get together. I just could never do that." Ry winked at the teacher before walking up to one of the phones she saw video taping her, whispering right into it. "See you all there. Bring some party favors." With that, she took a seat in her chair, folding her arms and ignoring the teacher's heated glare. Instantly, the video was sent through texts and passed around. Everyone knew about it, and everyone was invited.

Just like every sixteen year old girl in the world Christina wanted nothing more than to get a car and get her license. Of course before she could get either of the two she need to at first get her permit. She could do like Tristan and just keep taking the test until she finally passed but in her mind that was a lot of wasted shopping money in the case that it took her as many attempts as it took him. So when she was offered the driver's ed class she jumped on the opportunity. It was better than going to the DMV and paying to take driving lessons and plus she got school credit. So it was a win-win situation.

For today's class they were all outside doing the taking turns driving over the practice course. Christina had managed to do well at everything expect for the parallel parking which she was bummed about but her teacher had made her feel better saying that everyone had issues with parallel parking. As another student stood up to take a crack at the course Christina rejoined her friends who were busy either looking at their own or each others phones.

"What's going on?", she asked with curiosity figuring some guy had gotten panted in halls again. "Party!" Her friend Anna said pulling Christina down to sit beside her as she handed Christina her cell phone. "Check it out." Taking the phone she saw that he friend had been watching a video that had been uploaded to facebook. Reloading the video she bursted out laughing when she saw it was Rylie. She watched the entire video before handing the phone back to Anna, "Well if I couldn't wait for Friday to get here before I definitely can't wait now. First party of year!"

Aaliyah waited by their lockers for Mikaela to show. Economics had been a bore which she knew it was going to be after Mikaela left her to go vent to her daddy. Aaliyah wasn't in the mood for English but knew after skipping Mr. Sobel class Mikaela wouldn't cut even if she wanted to. Thankfully lunch was right around the corner and she could finally get to the bottom of this thing Lillian had for the Jesus freak. In truth that last name alone should have been enough to drive any respectable girl away. Like who in the hell would ever want to be Mrs. Apostolos.

The pinging sound of a notification hit her ears and instinctually pulled out her cell phone to see what is was about. There was a video going viral on facebook and of course Aaliyah being Aaliyah had to check it out. Going onto facebook she clicked on the video and when it loaded she saw some girl who's face looked familiar to her on her screen. Viewing the video Aaliyah was elated to her someone was throwing a party but wasn't a hundred percent sure if she was going to be attending.

There were no proper invitations being given which meant everyone and anything would be making an appearance. The idea of the first party of the new year involving losers put a bad taste in her mouth. Sticking her phone back in her bag she decided she would attend if nothing better came up through the week. When Mikaela arrived the two girls linked arms and went to their English class together.

Where the hell is she? Tristan asked himself as he stared up at the clock in the classroom. Ashley had left before him and she usually always made it to class before him. Even when she was late she wasn't this late. It was halfway through the period and she was still missing in action. He wondered if she had decided to cut anyway and had just went back home. If that was the case he had lunch next and would have no problem going back to her house and dragging her ass back to school.

"Yo! Dude check this out." Tristan was handed a phone by one of his football teammates sitting behind him. Holding the phone underneath the desk so that he could see it but the teacher couldn't he saw there was a video. He couldn't watch it without alerting the teacher put he read the comments posted underneath the video and saw that there was a party going on this friday at Rylie Scout's place. He knew the girl in question as she and Christina both played on the school basketball team. He would without a doubt be showing up to that.

English was probably he's best subject outside of gym which he no longer had the pleasure of taking because he was a senior. He didn't need Ashley's notes or have her explain things to him in this class which actually made him feel proud himself. Like while he wasn't the smartest person in the world he wasn't a complete idiot. Just as he was starting to expect that his friend would never shown she came waltzing in and she wasn't alone.

"Look who's alive!" Tristan said as Nicholas entered the class behind Ashley. He hadn't seen the guy all day which seeing as the had almost the exact same schedule should not be. It looked like Ashley's house wasn't the only place he should be making pit stops to in the morning. He waited for the two to take their sits before announcing "There's a party going on down this friday. You guys in?"

The bell rang. William jumped in surprise. William left the classroom to put his supplies away. Remembering that is was gym, he groaned his most despised class. He was fine working out at home, but just what he had to do in school. He really didn't like it. So, deciding to skip the class entirely, William started walking through the halls. The next bell went, and he just kept on going. Grabbing his hat from his head, William slipped his headphones over and onto his ears. He grabbed his iPod, his main music device, unlocked, and pressed the shuffle. Turning it up, he found he was listening to Sail by Awolnation. Awesome.

Looking around to see that the hall was empty, William thought, Why not some rhyme-less poetry? He whispered, "He was walking down a road. No destination. No rest. He didn't know why he kept on walking. He didn't know where to go. He didn't have any clue. So he kept on walking with no destination. No rest. He couldn't stop."

Spotting a door to a classroom, he started to want to wreak some type of havoc. So, walking casually towards the door, he opened it. He heard a feminine voice, "Bring some party favours." Then shuffling. He looked forward to see the teacher look at him. She asked, "And you are?"

"Hmmm...William Cipher Jones, at your service," William said with a touch of sarcasm.

"Are you in my class?" the teacher said, looking at her attendance sheet, "Because it's says you aren't in Public Speech and Debate."

Looking at her like she was crazy, William said in fake disbelief, "Of course I'm in this class! There must've been a mix-up somewhere."

Believing it, the teacher ordered, "Then, for you being late, you will have to speak."

"What subject?"

"Why not Miss Scout's subject of 'I would never.' But please, keep it more professional than what she did."

Nodding, William walked up to the front of the class, "Hello. My name is William Cipher Jones and I would never try to fail at anything. To me, who is 25% win, it's pretty important. I try to give everything my all. I would never intentionally hurt somebody. I've been bullied and hurt before I grew, and it was terrible. I would never kill-wait yes I would...in self defense. So, I would never intentionally kill someone. I would never get intoxicated, or be under the influence of anything. I'd rather have my body movements under my control then make a mistake. I would never take anything for granted. The things that we have...they are just wants. In some countries, people barely get any food. So I am thankful for living in places that let me have these things. I would never not try to save the world."

"Please elaborate, Mr. Jones," the teacher said from her desk.

"Elaborate, eh?" William then thought for a few seconds, "I mean I would try to save the world. It's our home, and people, namely us, are destroying it. With all the pollution, all the war and overpopulation, we are all screwed. Maybe not in our life time, maybe not in our child's child's life time, but we are screwed if we don't do anything. It makes me irritated to see kids, teenagers, on their phones all the time. We don't need that. What we need is an education. Maybe not to save the world, but to at least have a future. There are the people who do this, but there are also those on the opposite side of the spectrum. I just want to save Earth. It's to important to die. Before anything else, I have a something to ask. In one word, what would you describe yourself as?"

Heard mutters of "Sexy," and "Awesome," and other things. One of the student asked, "What about you?"

William smirked, "Me? I would describe myself as human, through and through. To call yourself sexy and awesome is just human nature. And we make mistakes. We do things that make us who we are. So, human. Human. Remember my name, William Cipher Jones. I'm somewhat of a realist. I am a music-man. And I would never lie about a class in school...just kidding, I would"

William saluted the class, turned towards the teacher, bowed, then left the room. In the hallways, he ran. "Why did he walk that road?" the tall teen said under his breath, "It was because he wanted to. What other reason did he need?"

Rylie had to laugh as William did his speech and promptly left the class room. To say the teacher had been pissed off that her class was acting so unorderly today would be an understatement. But it was almost lunch time, and Ry actually turned off her phone from her newfeeds blowing up with the video. She'd be a liar if she didn't admit to be extremely proud of it. With the remaining students going up and giving little speeches, Rylie felt pretty relaxed and leaned back in her chair. Her feet were on the desk now, pushing the chair back as she yawned in boredom. She really did want to just get to lunch. Finally, the bell rang and Ry popped up from her seat so fast the teacher didn't even have time to scold her for the slamming sound her chair made as all four legs reconnected with the tile. In the hallway, she was immediately greeted by some high fives and whistles. Practically running to her locker, she opened it and shoved her minimal belongings into the metal contraption. In a rush, she almost knocked into Nicholas.

"My bad." She smirked, patting his shoulder. Tristan and Ashley were there too, and her grin grew. "Okay, so I don't know if you heard, but I might be tearing my house apart Friday night. I'm expecting to see you all there. Especially you." Rylie said pointedly to Nicholas. He was a heavy partier, and Rylie liked having other people she knew could match her craziness at a party. "But if I don't eat in two minutes, I'm not going to survive 'til Friday." She groaned.

As the bell rang the room erupted as people jumped up out of their seats and made a beeline for the door. School lunch was far from a four star meal but the school lunch was pretty good considering it was no home cooked meal. The band of three waited till most of the room had cleared out before rising to their feet and throwing their bags over their arms. Turning to face his two friends he walked with his back to the traffic rushing by, "I know that you're doubtful but I have a good feeling about this party. I think your gonna have a kick-ass time and in the end your gonna think us for dragging you along. And even if am wrong and the party does suck we can all get shitfaced to the point that we won't even remember anyway. So the way I see it this is a win-win situ-" Nicholas felt something nudge him as he stopped mid-sentence and spun around to see their soon to be host standing before him.

"My bad." She apologized with a smirk and a pat to his shoulder. "All good Ry." Nicholas said sending a friendly smile right back."Okay, so I don't know if you heard, but I might be tearing my house apart Friday night. I'm expecting to see you all there. Especially you." Nicholas couldn't helped but laugh as her last words and pointed finger was directed at him. "Of course we've heard. The whole damn school is buzzing about your little extravaganza. As far coming goes have you ever known me to miss a party. Hell have any of you known me to skip a party? Especially one that I've actually been invited to." He spoke to the small group as Tristan's little sister appeared. "Speaking of Rylie's party you better be coming." He said wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into a friendly hug. He squeezed her tightly as he lifted her a couple inches off the ground and laughed before placing her safely back on the ground.

"But if I don't eat in two minutes, I'm not going to survive 'til Friday." Nicholas turned his attention back to his fellow rebel as she spoke. "Well we can't have that now keep we. Onward and upwards my good man .. and ladies." Looping his arm around Ashley's shoulder he smiled, "I am fucking starving. Which considering the fact I puked up my insides around a half an hour or so go shouldn't really be all that surprising." He lead the way to the cafeteria genuinely shocked that he actually had an appetite. Normally when he was dealing with a hangover he couldn't even stomach the whiff of food but as that moment he could devouring the entire cafe.

There was no point in going to class as the period was just about over. Instead the girls went to the attendance office were they had their attendance altered from absent in English to late. Than from the office they walked to the lunch room talking about the party on friday. They had already begun planning out what they wanted to wear and how they would wear their hair and all that good stuff. When they reached the cafeteria the first bell rang. It wouldn't be long before the cafe would be full of hungry students so the girls got on the line being the first to get their meals. Choosing a random vacant table the two sat down still talking about random things as they waited for their friends to arrive. The person who Aaliyah really wanted to see was Lillian. A discussion still had be had regarding her choices in the opposite sex. They were in high school and things such as association and dating could make or break someones rep and at this moment Lillian was going down the path of ruining her social reputation. Which may not be something she was personally concerned about but as one of her friends Aaliyah was fine doing all the worrying and damage control for the both of them.

Her class had just re-entered the school building from one of the many side entrances as the sound of the bell ringing hit her ears. It was finally time for lunch a period that the entire student body prayed for. One of the few things the students had in common no matter which clique you were apart of. Whether you used the time to actually eat, socialize, catch up on some z's or do something bookie like read or study. Everyone enjoyed lunch. Christina hadn't need any her books since gym so she had no reason to go to the locker as she had nothing to pick up or drop off. So she walked the halls heading to the cafe where she would meet up with her brother and friends.

Tristan walked down the hall with Nicholas and Ashley finally looking forward to one of his periods. Nicholas was doing his best to reassure Ashley that friday's party was going to be a good and fun time. After Ash's dad died she had spent the weeks after the news reeling in booze and drugs. She had closed herself off to the friends along with the rest of the world and the only time she ever expressed the pain she was feeling was when she was blackout drunk. Which was either a time of sadness, anger or a mixture of the two. She had pulled herself together towards the end of the summer but she had stopped going to parties and having fun altogether which was funk Tristan and Nicholas had made it their personal mission to get her out of. Which was why Nicholas was a hundred percent right in everything he was saying. No matter what happened Ashley would have fun this friday. At least this friday night anyways he couldn't promise anything in the morning seeing as they would all still as school.

As Nicholas and Rylie avoided a full on collision due to Nicholas backwards walking and Rylie appearing to be in another world the two started up conversation. "Okay, so I don't know if you heard, but I might be tearing my house apart Friday night. I'm expecting to see you all there. Especially you." Nicholas laughed replying by saying, "Of course we've heard. The whole damn school is buzzing about your little extravaganza. As far coming goes have you ever known me to miss a party. Hell have any of you known me to skip a party? Especially one that I've actually been invited to." That's when Tristan laughed because in truth he had never known Nicholas to skip a party. Invite or no invite. Day or night. Sunshine or rain. If there was a party going on Nicholas Ryder Wilde would be there.

"Speaking of Rylie's party you better be coming." Christina smiled as his arms wrapped around her and squeezed her as he lifted her up off the ground. "Okay ouch. Niko I hurting me and can't breathe. Put me down. Now." The two laughed as she was placed back on the solid ground. The guy was strong. Wrapping her arms around Tristan's waist her head fell on her side as she looked at their three friends. "I wouldn't miss it." She said agreeing to go to Rylie's party that Nicholas had questioned her about when she first arrived. "Your going too right Ash?" She looked at Ashley but the girl didn't have time to respond as Tristan answered, "Oh yeah, she's coming." Christina knew how hard the past couple of months had been for Ashley and knew that her brother and Niko were doing what the could to get her back into the swing of things. She just hoped they didn't push to hard.

"But if I don't eat in two minutes, I'm not going to survive 'til Friday." The siblings laughed as Tristan put his hand on his stomach that agreed with a growl. "I heard that." Looping his arm around Ashley's shoulder Nicholas spoke, "Well we can't have that now keep we. Onward and upwards my good man .. and ladies. I am fucking starving. Which considering the fact I puked up my insides around a half an hour or so go shouldn't really be all that surprising." Christina's face twisted into a look of disgust. "Niko. Really?! Where about to eat. Too much information." Pulling herself off her Tristan she took a step behind him and jumped onto his back. "Now you heard the man. Onward and upwards." Tristan rolled his eyes as he chuckled complying with his sister obvious wish to be carried to the cafe. Walking beside the Nicholas the group made there way to the cafeteria.

"Dude, I should be completely disgusted by that info." Rylie laughed at Nicholas when he informed them all that he'd just puked an hour ago. "But I'm too hungry." She watched Tristan carrying Christina on his back, chuckling at the siblings. The rebel wasn't exactly stealthy as she stared after Christina for a moment before following the group. It was a nice view. Ry was glad they'd be at the party, the group was always a lot of fun and could make sure that the party wasn't dull. They all seemed pretty pumped except Ashley, who was considerably reserved about the party. Ry wasn't insulted, she'd seen how crazy Ashley had been during the summer and heard around the rumor mill as to why, not that she took much stock into what others had said. All Ry wanted was for the older girl to have a good time. So Rylie grinned, glancing sideways at her with an attempt to be reassuring. "I'll make sure you have fun, Daniels. It shall be my life mission!" Rylie put one fist in the air, a look of determination staining her face before it broke into a wicked smirk. "If that doesn't work, I'll order a stripper and get you a lap dance. Sound fair?"

As they entered the cafeteria, Ry could feel the stares from the student body. Some people were still watching the video that went viral, and the rebel shrugged off the excitement that radiated from most of them. A party this Friday seemed to be what everyone really needed to unwind with. Her stomach roared, and she had the decency to at least look a little miffed by the sound. Lifting her tank top slightly so her abs were visible. "Will you shut up? I'll feed you in a few minutes." Talking to her stomach as if it were its own monster wasn't entirely a lie, because the growling from there was pretty fierce. Releasing her shirt, and oblivious to some hungry stares, Rylie sighed heavily as she threw her hands up. "It's not like a didn't eat two bowls of cereal, a poptart, and three apples for breakfast. Maybe I should have had bacon too..." She muttered offhandedly, thinking aloud. The smell of food was only making her more ravenous. As they passed the 'popular' clique, Rylie couldn't help herself. Sure, some might say she was being stupid, but it was fun.

"I hope you ladies are going to the party this Friday." Rylie sat on the table next to Mikaela Taylor, the principal's daughter. She smirked at them both, her feet on the seat and her hand behind her as she leaned back on the table. "Consider this a personal invite. I promise there to be plenty of body shots." Ry chuckled, seeing a teacher begin to walk over. "Shit." She muttered, jumping off the table and holding her hands up in surrender. "Down, Cujo." With a smirk, Rylie spun on the heel of her skate shoes, sending a last wink before she rejoined Nicholas and the gang.

Ashley gave a weak smile as Nicholas looped his arm around her shoulder pulling her into him as the group made there way to the cafe for lunch. "I'll make sure you have fun, Daniels. It shall be my life mission!" Rylie punched a fist in the air with a look of determination and a wicked smirk that made Ashley have to smile. "It seems this is because everyone's mission." She stated matter-of-factly as she glanced up at Nicholas. She appreciated the fact that everyone wanted to make sure she still allowed herself to have some fun in her now that her father had pasted. While she couldn't wait to be done with high school she wondered what would happen to her band of friends when it came to take for them to take that final step into adulthood. Both Christina and Rylie would have another year to complete come next year but as for the rest of them, they were all on their final laps. She really hoped that once they all got their diplomas they would manage to keep in touch and stay friends. "If that doesn't work, I'll order a stripper and get you a lap dance. Sound fair?" Ashley bursted out laughing at this and nodded, "As if I could turn that down."

To get to the lunch line you had to go pass reigning queen bees Aaliyah and Mikaela. Ashley hadn't spoken much to either girl since the whole thing with her ex had gone down. After her father died both Ali and Mickey had both reached out and had spent an entire week at her home despite Ashley begging them to go home. While she would never admit it to either of them she had been really had they had forced themselves on in her in her time of need. Since that week thought she had spoken two words to either of them as she wasn't really sure where they were suppose to go from there. She wasn't sure if she was suppose to just forgive and forget and hold onto her grudge. If it were up to Tristan, Christina and Nicholas things would have been buried between the trio a long time ago. Passing Rylie as she stopped to conversate before getting her lunch Ashley walked onto the lunch line.

"I hope you ladies are going to the party this Friday." Mikaela looked up from her food as the junior rebel approached the two popular girls sitting atop of the table on the side of her. "Consider this a personal invite. I promise there to be plenty of body shots." Mikaela swallowed her food as she muffled a giggle. "As if we could miss out on the first party of the year. Besides with my birthday being next Saturday I've got to see what kind of competition am facing." Mikaela had said that last part as a joke but she did plan on throwing one of the best parties Manor Hill had ever seen. I mean it wasn't everyday a girl turned eighteen. This was a milestone birthday. Just like her sixteenth had been and her twenty first would be.

She caught sight of the teacher approaching them at the same time Rylie did. She could hear Rylie mumble a curse word she couldn't make out as she jumped up off the table. "Down, Cujo." The teacher just glared as she muttered something under her breath as she retreated back to where she had been observing the student body. Winking at the girls Rylie ran off to join up with the others getting their lunches. Lillian was still missing in action and she didn't see Blair either. Aaliyah had said they would discuss the details of the photo shoot Blair had wanted the girls to participate in during lunch but a last the rebel was nowhere in sight. It was unfortunate seeing as Mikaela had actually started looking forward to the photo opt. With a low sigh she just went back to eating her lunch.

Aaliyah was involved in her phone when a voice directed at her and Mikaela made her look up from what she was doing. "I hope you ladies are going to the party this Friday." Aaliyah had been on the fence about it earlier but Mikaela had made it clear that there was no way they were going to miss out of this party so she had reluctantly agreed. Despite still being fairly disappointed in Rylie's choice to invite the entire school to her affair. Whatever. It wasn't her party and with Mickey's birthday being right around the corner they would be sure to do this party right.

"As if we could miss out on the first party of the year. Besides with my birthday being next Saturday I've got to see what kind of competition am facing.", came Mikaela's reply for both girls. "We wouldn't miss it." Aaliyah spoke as she went back to social networking via her phone. She was texting a couple of the cheerleaders to see who was available to go with her and Mikaela shopping after school. With a party on the horizon they would need some new outfits to be seen in.

Entering the cafeteria Christina slide down off his back. "Thanks for the lift." She spoke as she fixed her clothes on her body. "Nessun problema." He said nonchalantly as the two step-siblings got on the line behind Ashley. "You don't have to wait here. I'll get the food you can go join your gal pals at the table. "Whatcha want?" Christina smiled "Doesn't matter. Am to hungry to be picky." With a simple nod of okay Christina smiled and left her brother and friends as she went to join Aaliyah and Mikaela at the table.

"You okay?" Tristan asked Ashley as the line moved up. She seemed to be spacing at the moment and Tristan had a habit of always making sure she was doing okay. Especially since everything that went down with her father dying and all. Over the summer both Aaliyah and Mikaela had reached out to Ashley after her father's passing and Tristan as well as Christina and Nicholas had all hoped the death would bring the three girls back together. It had worked for a week before the girls disbanded. There hadn't been any words between the girls since that week had passed in the summer so Tristan wasn't exactly sure what the status of the relationship was between the trio.

"Ally! Mickey!" Christina squealed as she ran up behind the two girls hugging them both. "I've been waiting for fifth period all day. This day is dragging. Than again what would you expect of monday." Sitting down in between the her two popular friends she saw that her brother and the others had finally reached the front of the lunch line. Her stomach growled which made her roll her eyes as she placed a hand on her grumbling tummy. "So are we all excited for Rylie's party?", she asked distracting herself from her ravenous appetite.

Ry had made her way back to the group, hearing Tristan tell Christina to go sit down with her friends and that he'd grab her food. So getting in line, Rylie saw Christina sit down with her very popular friends. Tristan was a very good brother, and a caring friend. That was demonstrated further as he asked Ashley if she was okay. Groaning loudly, not caring about the looks she received, Ry sighed in defeat at having the aroma of food wafting through her senses, yet not actually having the substance on a plate, or better yet, in her stomach. Just about to complain about being bored, she heard a very grand "Hello!" from someone and she immediately recognized the guy.

"No way dude, you're that guy that broke into my speech class. That was impressive shit." Rylie laughed with a huge grin on her face. "To say the teacher was pissed would be an understatement." Ry's smirk only crooked to the side as she crossed her arms to look him up and down. "William, I think this could work. I've been looking for someone to aid me in some completely random, nonsensical, and often times blatantly dangerous stunts. Interested?" Rylie didn't hide her devious expression, although her gaze lingered as a girl walked by them, her and her friends not so subtly checking both Rylie and William out with hungry eyes. Rylie winked at her, only to have the girl wave her cellphone screen at the rebel that happened to have Rylie's video on the screen. "I could sign it if you'd like." Rylie shrugged smugly, and the girl and her friends laughed as they took a seat at a table. Directing her attention back to William, Rylie held out a fist bump for the new guy. "Rylie Scout. "Now way dude, you're that guy that broke into my speech class," Rylie started saying as William kept munching on his pizza. She then said how the teacher was more than pissed, which made William smirk, "William, I think this could work." She then went on about how he could aid her in her activities. He saw her gaze shift, but thought nothing of it. She then said, "I could sign it if you like."

That was when he turned his head. William was curious of what she was talking about. He saw a video of Rylie Scout. Must've been before he crashed her class. He then raised his eyebrows when he noticed one of the girls look at him. Turning his head back to look at Rylie she said, "Rylie Scout. Pleasure to meet you acquaintance."

William smiled and met her fist with his own, and with a grand voice, "William Cipher Jones, please, do not stare long, my awesomeness might burn your eyes..." then, with thought in his voice, "Your offer...I could say yes, I could say no. But what is the answer we're all looking for? I could weigh the negatives, which are...the dangerous stunts. Danger!!! And I could weigh the positives, which are me making friends, because I'd probably not make friends while here, hanging out with you, you seem cool, and you're hot. And I could have fun this probably boring school year...So, what should I answer with? Yes, no...? Yes, I will aid you in your stunts."
