Setting

This cave is huge; the entrance is easily large enough for a medium sized dragon to turn around in without brushing either side, and plenty large enough for a huge King's lizard to walk through. Inside, it is even more spacious.

The first room is where the Great Dragon himself sleeps, and where the eggs are kept until they hatch. At the back of this large room, where anyone who wished to enter or exit would have to pass the huge guardian of the Marked, is another door covered with a curtain.

This door leads to a hallway. Though this hallway is not as large as the entrance, it is still big enough for a King's Lizard to squeeze through without difficulty. The hallway branches off into eight different hallways, at the end of each of these is a room spacious enough to house the bondeds.

Ryuu's attention went quickly from his scattered thoughts and back to the little yellow dragon as he felt it stiffen, following its gaze and seeing the larger, deeply black colored hatchling. Making a mildly amused sound in his throat, he watched its half aggressive, half playful movements. This could be.... Entertaining.

"...Seems like...you're kinda...popular...with the dragons..." Ryuu glanced at his traveling companion with a grin. "Guess so." He really wanted to ask if her hesitant speech was genetic or just out of nervousness, but wasn't in the mood to start a fight or make someone cry. A question for later, perhaps, when he felt like causing trouble. He was also a bit amused that the hatchlings seemed to like him; he wasn't known for being good with animals. Oh, well, no use pondering it. It was how it was, and that's as complicated as life needed to be. His focus went to the hatchlings again.

As the black one lunged forward, Ryuu grinned and watched its maneuvers. A strong little dragon indeed. Settling back into a more relaxed position, he surveyed the young dragon's antics with quiet amusement and interest.

"Faquel..." The tiny hatchling seemed to struggle with getting his name to sound correctly. "Arrow bite Faquel hard?"

"You...could say that," Faquel said, a hint of pain lacing through his voice. He didn't want to dwell on the more painful memories from earlier that day. What mattered now was what lay infront of him. Again, the hatchling's lack of knowledge bemused him. If this hatchling was going to be his bonded, he had a long way to go with him.

A thought accured to Faquel as he lowered himself to the cave floor, folding his legs and resting his hands on his knees. His right wing folded over his shoulder, giving him the appearance of wearing a cloak. "Hey, I don't know your name yet! What do you call yourself? I can't call you 'hatchling', now can I?"

"Don't rush yourself," The hero said with a slight chuckle, amused by the young dragon's attempt to pronounce complicated words right off the bat. "As for my power over water, I don't really see why not, I suppose..." Flicking her wrist, she called forth a small amount of water which hovered in a disc shape around her palm, spinning through the air in a wondrous fashion. After a few moments, it faded back into the air.

"It has many more uses than controlling a bunch of water, but, I digress. I'm not exactly one to brag about my own abilities." She trailed off, glancing down at the young dragon to gauge its - no, her. It seemed the dragon was female - reaction. Judging by the young creature's naivete and curiosity, she was expecting an astounded expression, perhaps a little bit of awe. Well, it was best to establish herself as a figure of power early on, she supposed.

Almost immediatly after his question for the hatchling's name left his lips, another, smaller chirp announcing "Hello! What your names?" came from nearby. From his spot on the floor, Faquel didn't have to look very hard before his eyes spotted what produced the greeting. And what a surprise Faquel was in for! This second dragon was even smaller than the serpent, maybe only two inches in height! Fron it's voice, it was a female, but her size? The only dragon that small is a pocket dragon! Faquel had often played with the few pocket dragons that lived outside of the village, so seeing one here was a welcome surprise.

Smiling brightly, Faquel lowered his hand, offering a place for the tiny dragon to perch,"Hello, I'm Faquel. He was just about to tell me his name." He waved his other hand at the serpent dragon next to him.

The dragon said his name wrong..Oh, it was annoying, but he knew he could not get angry from that so he remained calm.As he thought, the dragon told him that he do not know how to smell. He rolled his eyes, but smiled when he heard that he had a short temper like him.Ok, Damien was more interested to know him now.Just a little thing: his name, he did not know his name...He was prepared to ask him about that , when the dragon opened his wings and told him to bare with him...What he wanted to do? To start a fight?Anyway he got backward a few steps, because the wings were too big.He was prepared for everything because he did not know what the dragon was doing.

”You want to fight?? But...why?

It was so much noise inside the cave so he raised his voice that the dragon could hear him.He tried to look into his eyes, but it was so much dust from his wings...Damien waited with a grin on his face. This will be....interesting.

"Thanks, but bragging isn't exactly my style. I find that it's rather easy to make enemies, and that's something I don't really feel any particular desire to do, even if I am skilled," The hero said stoically, leaning back against the wall and watching the unusual dragon make her way over to another group around Faquel - it seemed he was quite the curiosity to these beasts, who had lived only so far in tiny worlds of their own where they were the only creatures with wings and powers untold.

The look in Inanna's eyes as she shot a glance at Aquaea told her full well that this was going to be trouble. The little dragon seemed to have quite the ego, and, given that it was a sentient, if childish beast, the hero couldn't exactly chain it up outside in a kennel to teach it a lesson if it started acting up. That was another thing dogs had over dragons - they were easier to control. Aquaea wasn't particularly looking forward to raising a creature with such a dispensation toward and propensity for pride. Dragons didn't get their legendary reputation for being haughty, greedy, self-centered creatures for nothing, she supposed. She just hoped that some experience with the grim, real world outside of the cave would teach Inanna to view the bigger picture rather than trying to imitate the dignity of a centuries-old, and therefore wise, elder. Such dignity was not something she had any right to pretend to, having only just been born into the world.

"Hello." Again, another quiet murmur came from ANOTHER dragon that had decided to approuch Faquel, though his hatchling stood with a sense of pride and a puffed out chest, trying to make herself as large as possible. "Excuse me. I hope I didn't cut in here."

"U-Um...no, your fine. Nice to m-meet you. I'm Faquel." Faquel rubbed the back of his head shyly, becoming slightly unsettled by all the eyes on him. Only a few minutes ago, he had been worried if he would be noticed!

"I'm Inanna. Nice to meet you." Inanna, as her name was, looked incredibly proud of itself, standing as tall as her little body would allow, her feathered and fluffy wings compressed against her body to give off the impression that she was much larger than Inanna actually was.

Though Faquel couldn't help admiring Inanna's pride in herself, Nuraki didn't get the same impress from how she had tensed up and let her ears flatten against her skull. She did reply in a similar manner,"Nice to meet you too. I Nuraki." Inanna's grasp of language was also slightly more developed as well.

Sensing the tension, Faquel scooped up Nuraki in his hands and quickly set her on his left shoulder, patting her head lightly with his finger. "The cave floor is pretty cold, hu? My shoulder is much better to sit on." He gave her a reassuring smile.

"I am Najade!" The Serpent chirped to both the Angel and the little dragon who had approached them. "Najade is a Serpent." After saying this, he paused. Was it good to say he was a Serpent? It was obvious, really.... Wingless, eight legs, snakelike body... All of these were features unique to his breed. What if he offended the feathery two leg and tiny dragon?

After these thoughts ran through his mind, he quickly added, "You can see," to his previous statement, the blue skin on his face turning a slightly deeper shade of blue. His equivalent of blushing. Unlike most dragons, his scales did not hide his skin completely, only made it harder to see clearly. In any case, it was not a very obvious darkening of color, and most people would miss it completely.

When another dragon came over to the group, Najade eyed her with blatant curiosity. "Innana. Nice to meet you, too." Oooh... A feathery dragon.... Without really thinking about what he was doing, the little green hatchling reached out a curious paw to touch the Scaled Horse's wing, curious about how the oddly shaped scales felt.

Faquel lifted Nuraki up and put her on his shoulder. The little dragon felt no alarm in being held in his hands as he transported her to the new perch. She wasn't sure why, it just seemed more right than the other two leg holding her. She looked about from her new vantage point. It was so high up! It was exciting. No wonder Inanna wanted to stand tall! Nuraki saw a blue dragon talking to Larissa. It seemed the first two leg she had talked to was claimed. It seemed like most of the dragons were being quick about choosing. Was she the odd one out? Then again, it seemed like the Serpent hadn't chosen yet either.

"I am Najade!" the serpent said. "Najade is a Serpent." Nuraki bobbed her head in agreement at this. It puzzled her a little why Najade had announced his breed, as it was quite recognizable he was a Serpent. It wasn't like she went around declaring she was a pocket dragon. It seemed obvious to her what breed she was since she was so small. "You can see," the Serpent added after a thought.

Nuraki turned her attention back to Faquel. She crawled onto one of his wings and felt the softness of the feathers. It was nice. She contemplated pulling one out, but decided against this, thinking it would hurt the angel. Instead she climbed back to his shoulder next to his neck. What would a two leg taste like? Curious, she licked his neck. It was warm and a little salty, probably from sweat. She rubbed his skin with her head, deciding he liked how this young two leg smelled. He was kind too. After some consideration she said to the angel, "I am Nuraki. You are Faquel. We are one and you are my bonded." She chirped, birdlike, at the end of her sentence for emphasis.

Xanath wasn't impressed by the other's half-hearted attempts. Dodging around the playful swipes with excess movement, circling his opponent. He let out a slight snarl, although it wasn't particularly aggressive. He struck back, darting forward and attempting to nip the Cloudskimmer before vaulting over him. again on the other side with less of a struggle to circle back. This was already boring the energetic Chaos Wraith and he upped the stakes. With a low crouch he shuffled his balance, whipping his tail to and fro. He tensed his leg muscles, preparing to bound. Yellow eyes watching any movements from the yellow dragon. Moments later he released himself, dashing forward and into the other. He closed for a violent yet playful wrestle careful to account for any movements from Solaris. Xanath was not quite aware that others were as willing to put so much effort into the mock fight as he was. Naturally he avoided his claws and teeth to scrape against the chitinous scales but he spared no expense with the amount of force he used. The wiry black creature attempted to use all the strength within his limbs and serpentine body to bully the other onto the ground and take victory on top.
