"I have to completely agree with you there." Leon nodded slightly with a small grin creeping across his usually harden face, as he folded his arms. "I actually don't mind the idea of marriage." He glanced his eyes to Jacelyn, but quickly darted them back forward. "After all we werewolves believe in once you can defend yourself, you take a mate and you begin your family." Leon then reached up adjust the collar trying his hardest not to pull the stupid thing off even though knowing it wouldn't come off. "Since family life is important to us. You work and stick together, after all the strength of the werewolf is within the pack." Once he finished his sentence he once again lifted his arm and covered his face with his hand rubbing his temples. Completely surprised at himself that he said such a thing. Leon felt himself go soft for that split second when he said his earlier sentence. "Damn! I can't be going soft. Especially when there's vampire here."

Jacelyn smiled. "Yeah. Famalies kind of important to me too. Zombies usually travel in hordes," she said, trying to contain her joy that she got him to grin. He didn't seem like the type to grin much, or the type to say the kind of things she just did. She was happy anyone was talking to her, even if he was a werewolf. By now, her smile was real. Who said dead people don't have feelings? she wondered, watching him and trying to figure out what he was thinking.

As the last potential husband arrived she turned around to greet him, but was brought up short, not by his looks but by his clothes. To say the least she was more than a bit envious that he was allowed to dress as he wanted, while she was stuck wearing at the bery least nice skirts or dresses all the time. That didn't mean that she didn't like the clothes, only that she wished that she could wear more casual things as well. For now she would keep a close eye on this guy, who knows, maybe being with him will be fun? Audrey gave the others a small polite smile as she manuvered passed them as she sat herself at the table across from the late boy and gave him a genuine amused smile at his terrible posture and was laughing on the inside of what her tutors would think if they ever saw him as he was. "I am Audrey Jamenson, it is nice to meet you," she introduced herself, trying to reign in her humor but a hint of it slipped into her tone, she hoped that he wouldn't take it the wrong way.

((Hey Arctic, your char is the human in this rpg right?))

When the human Audrey introduced herself, Meridian followed suit and curtseyed as well.

"It's nice to meet you Audrey. My name is Meridian Orcana, representative of the merpeople. I hope this night proves to be a good step in our kinds to work together in harmony." she replied.

It was then she spotted the last arrival and immediately knew he was a vampire. Vampires were naturally gorgeous, wether it be male or female. They gave her kind a run for their money when it came to physical appearances. It was hard to say who's kind was the vainest. Meridian herself took a lot of pride in her physical appearance. Unfortunately, that led to her being very picky when it came to taking care of herself. Deciding to introduce herself, she turned to Audrey one more time, only to see her approach the vampire. Deciding to follow her, she approached.

"Good evening sir. How are you this evening?" she asked.

As easygoing as she appeared, Meridian was very nervous. Years of training though taught her how to hide her inner feelings.

"Good evening sir. How are you this evening?" she asked.

Emil's attention was brought out from his small reveries, as he eyed the two that appeared before his place in the room. An automatic smile that came easily was brought to his face. "Evenings," he replied, keeping his greeting short. "It's lovely to meet you two," his slight accent laced each word. "Representative of the nightwalkers, better known to you as Vampires. Emilo von Layre." He held out his arms from their crossed positioning to allow a hand to be shook. His feet were still propped onto the table though.

He observed the two, each having their own pretty appearances, but he was fixed on their formal dresses. It had him pondering. "You're both quite prettied up. Were you hoping to make a lasting impression?" Despite how oddly put and rudely he worded it, he kept a friendly smile. "Oh, not to offend or anything." Emilo felt quite natural and casual as he spoke, seeing as these sorts of things were common, he perfected a tongue of silver that easily conversed when needed. He took his feet off the table, and then stood with a natural grace. Only to give respect to his new conversation partners, and possibly future wife.

Let the games begin.

Leon stopped rubbing his head and dropped arm down, but he cross them back together. "I remember seeing a zombie hoard once." He said with a light tilt to his head, unaware that he was doing such a gesture. "One minute they were on one side of our territory they next minute clear across the other side." His head straightened back up. "They were moving very fast usually they take there time. My guess something was chasing them or migrating." Finally Leon looked at Jaceyln, this time looking directly at her. He looked over her features his eyes were no longer glaring just normal look to them. "A very beautiful lady." He thought to himself "I can honestly say probably one of the nicest looking zombie."

"Zombies tend to dislike other species, we usually avoid conflict," Jacelyn said, looking at her feet then back at Leo. "But, I like all species. We're all basicly the same," she quickly added, not wanting to offend him. Biting her lip slightly, she smiled up at him again. He wasn't glaring at her now, which made her even happier. She looked him over again. He was cute, definatly. She wondered what he thought of her. She'd find out sooner of later. After all, within the next hour everyone would have an official fiance.

((yes Zodia I am the human))

Audrey looked down at what she was wearing and frowned slightly before looking back up at the vampire. "Not really, I wouldn't have made it out of the house in anything less, this was the most toned down that I could get from my parents. I wish I had something as casual to wear as you do," she sighed, not minding his tone. In fact the tone facinated her even more, she wasn't used to anyone being less than their very best around her, so this was actually very refreshing, it was almost as though she was a real person.

He laughed. It was a sort of amused chuckle though, rather than a laugh. "Is that so?" He pulled a curl of his hair back, though his fringe was still grazing the top of his glasses, slightly covering over the dull grayish blue of his eyes. "I was rather close to wearing a suit as formal as yours, had I not given it improvements." Emil included in a playful manner, letting his hands rest in the pockets of his pants, still maintaining a stance of grace and unquestioned presence as he kept the smile on his face, staring at both girls.

"Understandable." Leon said lowly. "Its hard to get along with other who are not similar to you." He gripped the collar once more and pulled on it this time hard enough to jerk his head down. "Stupid collar." He muttered to himself as he began to straighten himself up. Leon adjusted the collar once more making his neck feel all itchy and uncomfortable. "I will say this though." Leon avoided eye contact with Jacelyn. "And please excuse me if I am out of bounds, but you're one of the beautiful and charming zombie I've ever met. Though your the only zombie I've met." He quickly glance back to her unsure how she would take his compliment after all it was the first real time he talked to a female.

If JAcelyn would have been alive, she would have been blushing. Her naturual reaction was she looked down and tried not to look embarassed. "Thanks. Your the most handsome, charming werewolf I've met and I've met several of them," she said, looking back up at him for a moment and then looking down again. She grinned though, even though she wasn't expecting such a compliment.

"Now that's the first time I've ever heard someone give me a compliment." If Leon was in his werewolf form his tail would've slightly wagged for a whole minute and his ears would've been forward instead of back. "I bet all male of course." His voice was honest but not loud. "Males are born to fight, hunt, and kill. So I admit we are rough around the edges." This time he allowed his arm to fall to his side in a more relaxed manner. "Don't mind it though because we don't hurt females, even our enemies females we dare not hurt unless they kill one of our own."

"Everyone is rough around the edges. Zombies are barely social. And they barely show any emotion. Except some," Jacelyn said, looking him in the eyes again. She glanced at his now relaxed arm and grinned a little, happy he was getting comfortable. She appreciated comfortable people. He was becoming more open it seemed, also. He was becoming the male she was paying attention too. Keep Leo in mind.

Audrey shrugged in indifference to the statement but her eyes shone with curiosity and fasination. "Clothes don't make the person anyway, so they don't really matter much. I have a more interesting question, who are you?" she questioned then before he could question her or possibly think that she was an idiot she rushed to explain, "I don't mean your name, but you as a person. Care to share anything about yourself other than that you are a vampire." She wondered if she came off as strange to him, she knew that most humans would've run screaming by now instead of having a casual conversation. In fact she fear wasn't even something that had crossed her mind so far even though she knew that he could easily kill her if he wanted to. Then again that was the same for most males of any species so you go right back to where you started, a casual conversation of two people getting to know one another.

"That's ashame really." He said with a bit of thought. "I know the whole entire undead thing but it must be kind of boring not showing much emotion." Leon then nodded his head to the right. "Though most of male werewolves only show high aggression and anger to each other." He then thought about it for a moment. "And we still function well with each other its so strange." Leon then finally added. "Though the females really do keeps us together now that I think about it."

"I show a lot of emotion!" Jacelyn objected, smiling. "But, I'm sure you males show other emotion to eachother besides anger and aggresion. I mean, you have to," Jacelyn said, trying to find out more about werewolves, incase she'd be marrying one soon. Which, was a possibilty. Was it likely? She didn't know.

Emil tilted his head slightly, curiosity dancing in his eyes as an expression of child-like wonder and serious consideration appeared on his face. "Well, I am of many things, as a being should." His expression was wiped clean to become a more sadistic and sinister face, as his tone became more serious and cold. "But, frankly, something that describes myself as a person? Well," he paused to allow his head to become straightened again as he pulled another curl behind his ear, giving a moment to bring back the familiar friendly smile he had moments prior, his tone changing back as well. "I enjoy games and many forms of entertainment." His words hinted at something beyond the innocent expression.

"And what about you, Audrey?"

He glanced towards the mermaid whose scent he picked up and finally was able to identify, and searched throughout his mind as to what he picked up on, and matched memory to voice to person present. "Meridian?" He included, as so to not leave her out.

Meridian was clever enough to figure out that Emilio played the kind of 'games' that were not norm. This did not surprise her. Well, two could play at this game. It been awhile since anyone could stimulate her mind this way. Keeping an easygoing smile on her face, she decided to answer his question.

"Well, as you might guess, I have a great love for swimming. And I happen to enjoy 'fine things'. What sort of games do you like to play Mr. Emilio? I myself enjoy a little competition at times when I am in the mood. Alas, I am a poor loser though for I always play to win." she replied.

She glanced at the human again. The girl was holding her own in this group. Well, humans did tend to have some guts for it made up for their lack of special abilities like the rest of the groups on this planet.

Listening carefully to what they were saying she was easily able to pick up on the double meanings and partial evations making her smirk inside as the 'game' had just begun. "I find amusement in 'reading' and 'games' as well, 'fires' though I find extremely exciting," she answered with the same innocent smile as she wondered who would be the first to drop out and who would win this little game. So far she was not disappointed with meeting these different creatures for the first time and hoped that the entertainment would last.

He held a slight smirk. "The games that I play?"

He knew that he was enjoying this a bit too much. "Well, this usually calls for something along the lines of: 'we'll just see for ourselves', but seeing as I'm terribly amused as of this evening, I'll reveal for the sake of satisfying curiosity." Emil glanced towards the ceiling in a thoughtful glance in impression that he was carefully pondering over it. "You could say, a little bit of everything. Though, mostly games of the mind," his fingers on his left hand were raised to press against the side of his forehead, slightly bending. "Gambling like games, you could say?" He repeated. "With much at stake, of course." The vampire added as an after thought, chuckling in a wry manner, seeming to be thinking back on some 'pleasant' - he could justify, as it was his own opinion after all - memories, hand balled in a gentle fist near his mouth as a modest act, an attempt at covering up his dark amusement as his head tilted downward.

Emil glanced up towards the Mermaid. "Why? Are you challenging me to a round of a 'game'?" He teased, eyes unreadable, expression of sadistic amusement covered up by the same friendly smile he kept that showed tidbits of the hidden one beneath, as he sent an actual and silent challenge her way though eye contact.

"I find amusement in 'reading' and 'games' as well, 'fires' though I find extremely exciting," she answered with the same innocent smile as she wondered who would be the first to drop out and who would win this little game.

He broke the eye contact to look at Audrey, but the challenge was still lingering in the air between creatures. Emil allowed the friendly smile to shift to the amused one within. "Oh? It would seem that we all have a common interest."

It would seem that the pieces in this game weren't ones to be pushed around by his own piece. This was certainly becoming a most entertaining evening.

Damien sat down in his chair, the massive red velvet cushion practically absorbing his back. He felt at ease, noticing a small crack in the floor beneath the table. A few minutes later, he'd pulled platinum and a few rubies from the ground, sliver by sliver. The wine pitcher across the table seemed to gravitate towards him, the silver handle turning towards his hands. It slid across the table, directly into Damien's open palm. He poured himself a glass of red wine and slid the pitcher back to it's original place. He quickly drained the glass, the few rubies he had encased partially in the platinum, glinting in the light. They reflected what looked to be a piece of red paper taped to the wall behind him. "That's awkward." He placed the goblet on the table and stood up, pulling the note from the wall. On the front was intricate black lettering that read "For the representatives." He popped the note open and for once, showed something more than the statuesque expression. It was an expression of complete surprise. After reading the note, he slid it onto the middle of the table for the others to see. "The apparent pairings. Miss Meridian, it seems that you're stuck with me." He said, sitting back into the plush chair. He wasn't opposed to his pairing, in fact, he was content with it. But he kept the stone expression on his face as he refilled his goblet.

Meridian's attention was diverted from her conversation with Audrey and Emilio when she heard a cracking noise. She turned and couldn't hide her surprise as she saw a few raw minerals come up from the ground. How who could have done that? She looked back at Damien and could feel power radiating from him and figured he was responsible for that. Before she knew it, Damien had gotten up and retrieved what looked to be a letter of some sort. She heard what he had to say and felt a blush coming on for some reason, but quickly controlled it. Now wasn't the time to act like a silly teenager. She could handle this. Well that was easier said than done. She had loads of social experience, but as far as the art of flirtation or any other means of attracting a mate, she was still unpracticed. Oh sure, her mother taught her proper protocol, but it was totally different when doing it in real life.

"It seems the pairings have been made. Would you two like to go see who you are paired up with? Excuse me." Meridian said to Emilio and Audrey before approaching Damien.

"Damien, I know we just met, but I sure hope we'll get the chance to know each other and get along at the very least." she replied.

She figured in this situation, honesty was the best path.

"If I might be perfectly honest with you Miss Meridian, the idea of an arranged marriage does not exactly excite me. But seeing you here, dressed in formal attire like you are? Well it makes me think twice about it. Maybe things won't be so bad after all." He smirked at her taking her hands in one of his and holding the other behind his back. "And don't worry. I get the feeling that we'll have plenty of time." He pulled a strand of gold and a deep purple sapphire through the crack in the floor. Imagining a small golden band with a ring of sapphire embedded in it was all it took for it to become an actual ring. "I hope the size is right. It was a last second fitting." He held the ring out to her, the piece of jewelry seeming miniature in his hand.

Now there was definitely no chance of Meridian hiding her blush as Damien took her hand in his. Great, this was embarrassing! She tried to get a hold of herself, but all thought stopped when she saw the ring. This made the arrange marriage seem all too real. The ring itself was gorgeous. Now it was the time for Meridian to make her choice. Would she accept her fate, or fight it? A part of her was screaming no, she couldn't do this. However, her loyalty to her kind and a small little told to accept it. So with her free hand, Meridian took the ring from Damien's hand and placed it on her finger. A perfect fit.

"Thank you, it's lovely. Is there anything I can give you? I also will admit, I was against this idea too, but I will do what I must for the good of my people. And like you, I may have also changed my mind after meeting you." she replied with a smile, although it was a nervous one.
