Jack closed the large door behind him and left his things in the entrance and, with his kitten close behind him, started to explore the mansion. After exploring for about ten minutes jack found the smallest bedroom in the mansion and claimed it for himself. jack didn't bring a lot with him , just clothes and a few other things he needed from the room he had a home, so the smaller room worked perfectly for him. Once he had a few of his things set up he explored a little more, discovering a music room , a library, the rather large dining area, and the stable outside behind the mansion. He decide he had done enough exploring and returned to the main room, awaiting the arrival of the others.
" Hello, I'm jack Green. Whats your name?" He said sitting up straight in the chair he was in, the tiny white kitten kitten jumping off of his lap and wandering over to the woman's tiger, and sitting down in front of it, examining it while purring contently. Jack just shook his head at the kitten.
" Oh and thats Bella. " He said motioning to his animal companion. Bella just turned her head and let out a tiny meow at him, and then the woman, then went back to lazily examining the much larger cat in front of her.
Rose looked over at him and quietly said. "Rose Levesque." She looked at the kitten and the edge of her lip curled upwards. She reached her hand down and scratched the kitten's head gently. Rose's pet tiger, Khalla, got a bit jealous and rested her head on Rose's lap, asking for attention as well. Rose giggled a bit and began to scratch Khalla's head as well. She then looked back over at Jack. "This is Khalla. My snake is named Envy." She smiled slightly again. "I guess you can say I'm an animal lover."
" Im afraid not miss. But i'm Jack, its nice to meet you. " He said with a polite smile. Jack soon noticed that he was already out numbered, with made him a bit nervous, he was hoping another guy would arrive soon. And then maybe his bride to be would show up, though he wasn't too excited about getting married to a stranger he thought it would be nice to meet her sometime soon so that he could get the darn butterflies in his stomach to settle down.
Bella lept off Jacks lap and walked happily over to the woman names Samantha, purring and circling her, rubbing up against her leg and meowing as if to say hello.
"Is Valorian Castor here yet?"
Rose informally crossed her legs and held out her arm as her snake slithered out from under her sleeve and on top of her arm, heading towards her neck. She glared over at the annoying girl with short hair and shook her head then began petting Khalla again.
That definitely struck a nerve. As soon as the loud human said that, she walked in a different direction from her to go look for a room as well, while Khalla obediently followed. She opened a door that revealed a room with light pink colored walls that smelt like old ladies-- No. Rose slammed the door and walked towards another room and opened it. It was gorgeous. The walls were dark purple, it looked so beautiful, it seemed like it was almost silk. She walked around, barefoot as usual, with her long dress dragging across the clean beige rug. The double bed with actual silk material running down the sides and used as covers sent shivers up her spine. "This is... Perfect." She closed the silk curtains and clapped her hands together. Now how will I make sure nobody takes this one while I am away... She thought to herself then she snapped her fingers. I got it.
Rose gently closed the door behind her, leaving Khalla in the room. If anyone tries going in there, they will be greeted by a tiger. Rose smirked to herself and walked back towards the main room. She knew that Khalla was a loyal tiger, and that she wouldn't ruin the perfect, silky atmosphere that filled Rose's new room. She went to sit down on the couch and sat down crossing her legs, so that her feet weren't touching the ground. She looked over to Samantha who was sitting like a lady snorted to herself.
Garrett looked out the window of the car as he tried to distract himself by attempting to focus on objects as the car sped by. Alas, it was no use. He sighed and looked down at his fist. He irritably opened it and uncrumpled a torn piece of paper. He closed his eyes and shakily whispered the words,"Rose Levesque." The name sounded pretty. The car slowly decelerated to a stop, and Garrett opened his eyes abruptly, dismissing his last thoughts. The driver's loud voice abrupted his thoughts."We are here, Garrett! Enjoy your time and be good to your wife."Garrett simply nodded and stuffed the note into his pockets. Garrett gently opened the car door, closing it behind him. He looked up at the mansion that lay before him and took a small breath. Here we go.
He walked to the back of the car and grabbed his necessities. Garrett took a few steps away from the car and watched as the car sped away. He took a few breaths and took a last look at the world around him. Last moments of being, me. He clucked his tongue and turned on his heel, striding towards the door. Garrett slowly opened the large door to the mansion, and looked down at the ground, strands of his dark blue hair coming down on his eyes. He took a few steps forward and closed the door behind him. Alas, he finally looked up from the ground and scanned the small crowd. Two women and one man. Lucky fellow. Garrett noted the luggage beside the door and he too set it down there. He put his hands in his pockets and acted as casual as possible."Has Rose Levesque arrived yet...?",Garrett had said as he walked up towards the crowd. He had particularly focused on the other man. Nothing personal, he just naturally got along better with other men.
"Has Rose Levesque arrived yet...?"
Rose's eyes widened a little bit and looked back over at him and she suddenly felt very nervous. This is who I'm going to marry? Rose remembered back to what her father told her... Be polite he says. What do I do?! Rose uncrossed her legs and stood up, brushing off her long dark dress. She walked over to the new man and held her arm out, at an attempt to shake his hand until Envy, her snake, slithered out of her sleeve and onto Garrett's hand. Her eyes widened a bit in surprise when she finally said something. "She doesn't usually warm up to people so easily.. Especially men." Rose said delicately and quietly.
suddenly a new person walked through the doors of the mansion. A man this time. Jack was relieved that he wasn't just sitting with two women anymore as he found it incredibly nerve wracking seeing as women were one of his weaknesses. The man asked if Rose had arrived yet and Jack found himself glancing over at her for a second. The man didn't seem too interested in meeting anyone else at the moment so jack kept his mouth shut and just observed the situation silently.
The mansion was large, and incredibly beautiful, just as she would have thought it to be. The Arrangers, as she was calling them, had arranged a special place just for her within the building. The attic. High above the other guests, with many different cave like openings in the ceilings, hidden by paintings, lights or tapestries. Her room consisted of a pile of large pillows and blankets in one corner, a sky light that she could open and fly out of, a large marble fireplace, and a pile of books. On the west wall is a door that leads to a bedroom similar to the ones below her, decorated in sapphire blue and white. If she were to shrink down to size she could sleep in the four poster canopy bed in there, but she prefers sleeping under the skylight, so she can watch the stars.
Down below, she could hear the familiar sound of conversation. She slowly lifted her massive head from the floor, cocking her head to the right for a better listen to what was being said. One of the grooms were meeting their brides! Excited, she shrunk herself to the size of a full grown cat and padded over to one of the many holes in the floor of her room/ceiling of the building. Peeking down through one particular hole, she could catch glimpses of bodies if she tilted her head just so to avoid the chandelier. She purred quietly, watching with increasing delight at the exchange. How romantic! To meet the soon-to-be love of your life! Kyta was so happy for the beautiful brunette that she forgot to feel jealous.
Kyta, being the last dragon, often forgot that she would spend the rest of her days alone. The thought was incredibly sobering, so it was not surprising when she agreed to come take part in this age-old ritual. I wonder what they think about this, she thought to herself, tilting her head to the left to catch a glimpse of the male walking across the room to join the growing group of mortals. Intrigued, Kyta gently laid down onto her forepaws to watch the goings on of the mortals beneath her. She did not worry about any of the finding out about her up here, as there were no steps to reach her room. It was built specifically for her, to escape from the impending drama of the situation, should it become too much from her. For now, she decided to wait to make her self known and to simply watch. Perhaps she would fly down to say hello during dinner.
Shifting her head to get a look at the door, Kyta almost laughed. Why are they putting their bags at the door and not their rooms? Kyta shifted her head again, turning her attention back to the group. Surely they didn't expect to be waited on hand-and-foot.... did they? Mortals were strange, strange creatures. Capable of so much, and yet constantly discovering ways to be even more lazy. Still, mortals were fascinating creatures. So clever, and so stupid, all at the same time. For how tiny their brains are, they have an incredible web of emotional twists and boundaries. Kyta was excited to see the reactions of each of the Brides. The grooms were important, sure, but the Brides were really the main focus here. She supposed the grooms were here to try and prove themselves, although in reality it might be the other way around.
The thought gave Kyta pause. If they had no choice in the matter, then why would it matter if they got along or not? Why force them away from their friends and family for so long to spend with a person they were going to be forced to spend the rest of their life with? The thoughts gave Kyta a headache. Shaking the overwhelming desire to cry for the mortals away, she again returned her attention to the party below her.
Garrett widened his eyes when he had seen a single woman rise from her seat and walk towards him. He had sensed the woman hadn't been human either. She's Rose?,he thought to himself. He had actually wanted his fiancé to arrive later, that way he would be able to socialize with the others.
His suspicions had been confirmed when she had held out her arm in greeting. Nervousness fumed within his system, as he tried to control it. Just as he had been about to shake her hand, the snake, Envy, had slithered onto his hand. Oh, joy. He pursed his lips sealed and bit his tongue with his canines. Anger bubbled up within him. Garrett disliked pets. Always will. And it just wasn't any pet. It was a snake. One of the most dangerous reptiles in the world. At least to him they were. Garrett fought back the urge to slap the snake off his hand and walk off, far,far away from the scene and forget it ever happened. Forget. The thought of manipulating Rose's memory to do things at his leisure had briefly passed by his mind. Garrett mentally shook his head. He would have time to deal with that later. He looked down at the snake and back at Rose, smiling nervously."She doesn't warm up to people so easily...Especially men." He opened his mouth to speak in response, though the only thing he could utter was the simple uhh's and umm's. He had apparently failed this test to please the woman and glanced once at the other two for any sign of a distraction, though he doubted any would provide one. Dammit. Of all times to have a snake slither up your hand. Why now?Of course, they had all been here for one main reason. Get to know your life-long partner and learn to like 'em. And he could tell that they had been awaiting the arrival of their fiancés these past few moments.
Garrett's expression relaxed once the snake had left his contact. "I'm assuming your name is Garrett Mourn.. Right?",Rose asked. He nodded simply in response and muttered,"Garrett Mourn, at your service." The sudden remembrance of something important alerted Garrett, and he dug in the pockets of his jackets searching for it. His mother had said it is bound to please a woman, when she had claimed A diamond is a girl's best friend. Garrett hadn't noticed when Rose leaned in until she had said,"Nice to know there is another vampire in this mansion." Just the mention of his race and increased Garrett's alert level greatly. He looked at her curiously and tilted his head. How did she know? I thought I had been able to successfully hide my scent...Meh. Not a big deal anyway. They'll all find out eventually.
He narrowed his eyes for a brief moment and slowly presented a small red box. The cover was soft to the touch and had the initials GM on it. He opened the cover of it and inside lay a necklace. At the center of the necklace lay a simple rosebud, molded from silver. Inside the rosebud, lay a small diamond. Light from the sun had struck the diamond and it seemed to gleam perfectly. He held it out to her kindly. "A nice-to-meet-you gift.",Garrett kindly said. The hint of a smile lay within Garrett's expression.
"A nice-to-meet-you gift."
Rose actually had a slight blush on her cheeks but broke eye contact and looked back at the necklace. "Thank you, Garrett." Then she looked back at him again. "This means a lot to me." Rose exhaled and thought to herself, Why am I being so polite? I mean, sure father told me to act polite and ladylike... But this is just too much. Then again, that was really sweet of him. Rose stood there in silence for a few moments, just smiling until she realized... She didn't have anything for him. Rose had a mini panic attack and a worried expression covered her face. Oh crap! I didn't get anything for this guy... Rose cleared her throat. "I'll give you your gift later on... Okay? Rose tried to cover up the fact that she didn't get anything.

"Valorian Castor," he said with a flourish of his hand and a bow. "you may call me Lord Valorian," he looked around, feeling as though these people weren't really worth his time. "I'm retiring for the morning. Wake me when it's dark. A servant will be bringing my things shortly," and with that, Val turned on his heal and was gone with a blink.
Val found the largest, darkest room (he presumed it was an attic, but it had a bed and worked perfectly) and released ten to fifteen bats from his cloak. The servant arrived and after he'd had the man set up his room as it was at home, he made a meal of him. Then, he went to bed.

"Valorian Castor,"
...
"You may call me Lord Valorian."
Rose glared at him. I'm suddenly not so interested all of a sudden. She sighed and recognized his name and turned to Samantha, who was freaking out because he was an ass. She doesn't have to freak out about, she's just coming off as loud, annoying AND spazzy... When Samantha set the cupcakes down on the table, Rose sighed. She's upset. Rose turned back to Garrett and motioned him over towards the table. Rose sat down beside Samantha and cleared her throat. She opened her mouth, as if to say something, but quickly shut it again. I don't know how to comfort people.. It's been so long. Rose awkwardly brushed her dress from on her lap. She raised a finger and opened her mouth again, trying to speak once more, but lowered her finger and shut her mouth. Her face turned a bit red and she placed both hands on her lap. Why do I even bother? She's annoying anyways. Rose placed one hand on the table and started tapping the table when suddenly, "You don't have to get all upset over him. Vampires act like that. It's only natural.
