Physical Description
Standing at 6 feet 2 with big shoulders and healthy body weight, Hideaki is a young man that not many want to mess with. His skin is slightly tan and rough, almost always has some types of wounds, from bruises to scratches or something more serious than that because of his job. His body isn't by any means muscular but it is well-toned and lean. His movements are quick and decisive, never hesitant except in some special occasions. His face is slightly feminine though there are still boyish features such as his hard eyes. His eyes are violet, often shine with unmistakable greed, sometimes mischief and other times sadness that doesn't quite suit a boy his age - an age where he is supposed to enjoy his life and party with his friends. His hair has a darker shade of violet than his eyes and he likes to leave it untamed, the purple locks stick out everywhere. His hair just barely touches his shoulder blades. His lips are frequently seen curling into a mischievous smile or a devious smirk. Another special thing about Hideaki is that... he paints his nails the same color as his eyes and hair - violet. Unashamed of his 'gayness' as some of his peers like to call him, the young man is rather proud of his nails and likes to show them whenever he can. Hideaki's voice, though not sweet or warm, is smooth and velvet, carries just a slight melodic touch in it. Even though Hideaki does not care much about clothing, he does, in fact, have a fashion sense. His clothes, which consist of a purple t-shirt and a black waistcoat combined with black, white or purple jeans. On rare occasions, Hideaki can be spotted wearing a white button-up shirt with brown or white pants. It should be also noted that he always wraps a layer of white cloth around both his arms. On his right pant-pocket, he carries a knife...just in case
Personality
If there was a single word that could describe Hideaki, it would be...greedy. There is nothing in this life that Hideaki loves more than money. He does almost absolutely anything to earn it from finding someone's cat to killing a certain target, just name it and give him your money, the job will be done with no further word. However, there are still boundaries that even he doesn't step on it. He has three 'no' - three type of thing that will make him refuse a mission even if someone gives him millions of dollars. The first rule is 'No harm will befall children under the age of 11'. The second rule is 'Body will not be sold at any costs'. The last and most important rule is 'No question or doubt about my ability to perform a mission'. If even one of rules are stepped on, Hideaki will not do it. But aside from that, the teenager can even sell his soul to the devil to have more money. His favorite sentence is 'Money is the best lawyer in Hell'. Beside money, Hideaki loves and likes many other things such as: mangas, video games, new things, better things...etc. Till this day, Hideaki has yet to find the limit of his own greediness. He hasn't found a thing that he doesn't like or want.
Hideaki is also very distanced. He rarely opens himself to others and even so, Hideaki hates anything that has to do with his personal life that is not directly involved his school life or his missions. Even though his voice is beautiful and Hideaki usually uses his voice to weasel his way into others' hearts, he doesn't allow himself to grow closed to anyone. His relationship at school is purely on the level of acquaintances. He has several friends and he considers none of them as his best friend. The facade he puts on to show everyone is of a sociable boy, studies well in many subjects, has a silver tongue and is the ideal boyfriend for a lot of girls...and some boys. However, anyone who he has thought as his enemies has already known that he is merciless and evil when it comes to revenge. He will not stop until his opponents are either broken, begged to be released or forced to join him unwillingly. His opponents think of him as a person without a sense of pride but why should Hideaki care about that? If they cough up money and give it to him, Hideaki can be just as honorable as anyone else.
Not many people know but Hideaki has a soft, very soft spot for children - especially children or more specifically, orphans under the age of 11. A very obvious example will be one of his three rules: 'No harm will befall children under the age of 11.' For him, when they are about that tender age, they are children and therefore, innocent without a doubt. He protects them and shields them from the dark edge of everything. For them, he is the kind brother that they can rely on, someone that will go through Hell and back just to see them smile. Though there is no doubt that Hideaki earns a lot of money everyday, more than a half of it goes straight to the orphanage to help funding it. If anyone asks why Hideaki is so greedy and yet, he is willing to share the money that he has to work hard to earn for some kids he doesn't even know, Hideaki will certainly answer that 'Well, I like to see new things and that orphanage is just so old so I pour just a tiny bit of my money to improve it. I hate ugly things'
Hideaki's loyalty toward Itex is still questionable. At worst, he probably only follows its goals because of the money he can earn out of his mission. At best, he approves of its idea about the Grace stone and is loyal to the organization...sort of. He admits to himself and to everyone else that he has no pride, Itex gives him money and he will continue to do his job as long as he still has money. However, if he is on a mission and someone gives him a lot of money to...say, abandon Itex to work for them then Hideaki will, if he is in a good mood, refuse the money until he has completed his mission and then he will abandon Itex but if he is in a bad mood, well, there is no guarantee what he will do. Sometimes, humans are too prideful for their own good. For Hideaki, money is good but a lot of money is better.
Hideaki also likes to avoid questions about his family. It is a touchy subject for him and it makes him angry very easily if someone pushes this button. Usually, the teenager can keep his cool and think several moves ahead. However, there are two things that no one, and that means no one can do in front of him without making him lose it completely. First of all, people, no matter how old or powerful they are, cannot, in any circumstances, harm a child in front of Hideaki. The teenager reacts very strongly if such thing really happens. His usual reactions often are rescuing the child and finding a way to kill said person. And the other thing is, never ever insult his parents in his face. If someone has done so, their death will really be a release rather than a punishment because Hideaki will not forgive them until they die. And believe me when I say this, violence is something that Hideaki isn't afraid of.
Skill(s)/Abilities
āØ Survival skills and sharp instincts: Since Hideaki has and is still doing many jobs to earn money, he has to learn many skills so that he won't die when he's doing his job. He has horned his instincts to the level that he can trust his gut 80% percents of the time and it is mostly true. He can also survive alone in a wild forest without food or water because like his instincts, survival skills are something high in Hideaki's list of 'things that must be learnt'
āØ Martial Art: This is also in Hideaki's list of 'things that might save my ass in the future' list and he is very proficient with it. He likes to use hand-to-hand combat but still, the young man has the habit of keeping a knife close to his body. After all, better safe than sorry, correct?
āØ Manipulating skills: Hideaki doesn't like manipulating other people but sometimes, he will have to do it anyway because it is his mission to do so. With his charming smiles and his voice, he can easily make people believe him or think that he is harmless. Of course, this skill is mostly useless to those that have known him well but consider that the number of people that know him personally aren't that big, he still thinks this skill is pretty useful
āØ Electric Guitar - playing skill: It is not something that worth mentioning compared to other skills but when Hideaki is stressful, he plays electric guitar to release some of his stress. People say that he plays very well but Hideaki isn't too sure about that. He doesn't play it quite often and in front of everyone, prefers to do it alone inside his room.
History
As the hints above have suggested, Hideaki has a soft spot for orphans and children for a reason. The teenager used to be an orphan himself. Hideaki was born in a poor family, so poor that his elder sister actually had to become a prostitute just to earn some money to support his family. His Father was always sicked, a strange disease that would surely kill him if he just worked too hard. His Mother used to be a beautiful woman, though her beauty had been destroyed since she started living with her husband - the stress had soon marked its presence on her face. Despite all the hardships Hideaki's family had gone through, his family was happy. Everyday, Hideaki would stay up really late, waiting for his sister to come back from her work and to say with a cheerful smile 'Welcome Home!' That was the happiest time of the day for him because even though his sister was dead tired, she would wipe the tiredness out of her face and hugged him, smiling at him. It made all the waiting worth its weight in gold. Wanting to help his family, Hideaki tried to do everything a child at the age of 5 could and even beyond that. He tried to go to dark alleys, pick-pocketed people and became a conman and everything in between. Of course, being a small child, he barely had any experiences let alone being able to fool an adult. No, it was mostly the adults pitied him that he had some money to give to his Mother and Father.
When Hideaki turned seven, a terrible thing had happened to his family. His Father, generally was a very forgetful person, forget to turn off the oven. His house had been burnt down to ashes, along with his family and his happiness. His parents and sister were dead because of it while Hideaki himself had severe injuries. After that, a young Hideaki was put into the orphanage because he had no living relative that he could rely on and those that his parents knew all denied having any connections with his family. He stayed there for two whole years, a time that had changed him mentally and made him more matured in a way. In the first year, Hideaki was generally distanced and would lash out at everyone who tried to become closed with him, still grieving and mourning for his lost. In the second year, Hideaki became slightly more friendly, mentally wanted to become the protector of the children there after he had seen a bully picked on an orphan because she had no parent. He would allow himself to relax slightly when he spent time with the other orphans and sometimes even smiled. After two years, Hideaki was adopted. It marked another significant stone in Hideaki's development in later years.
Luckily, Hideaki was adopted by a family that was not poor by any means though they were not filthy rich. His newly adopted Father and Mother clearly loved him dearly and treasured him like he was the child that they could never have. They gave him everything he could wish for and then some more. He was grateful and yet, at the same time, he couldn't fully accept that they were his parents. He thought of them as his aunt and uncle though. He tried to study as hard as he could in hope of being able not to make them regret taking him in. Unfortunately for him, the neighborhood he lived was not, by any means, ideal. He had to deal with gang members, conman and other kinds of people that children should never meet. Hideaki had learnt to pick up a few things from them, slowly but surely becoming a bad influence for other children. His main purpose of learning how to be like them was to earn more money by doing odd jobs for the gang and other people who were willing to pay for a child like him . Seeing what was happening to their adopted son, Hideaki's adopted parents tried to do everything they could to prevent him from becoming a criminal. Hideaki was anything but stupid and he had finally realized what his adopted parents were trying to do.
In an attempt to prevent himself from being moved away from the neighborhood that he had grown to love over the years, Hideaki had created a mask to hide his true self. Starting to take his study more seriously, the teenager learnt how to become the best in his class while at the same time, being able to do his 'part-time' jobs. At first, Hideaki was constantly under pressure but as time went on, he began to get used to it and could actually keep his mask on. Since his marks appeared to be excellent and he was praised by the teachers, his parents were blissfully unaware that their son was becoming exactly what they had feared. When Hideaki turned 15, he joined a gang leaded by Harumitsu Rakugaki. Unfortunately for him, only a year later, his leader was caught and sent to prison because he had stolen something valuable. When Hideaki was 17, he had asked for permission from his parents to live alone in Throme City - where he knew had an excellent education system as well as a perfect environment to do his 'job' because he knew, hiding beneath the peaceful facade, Throme was a very interesting city. His parents agreed and shortly after that, Hideaki moved to where he was currently living. He still kept in touch with his parents, calling them almost every night so that they wouldn't become worried and check himself.
About a year ago, he was approached by a strange man wearing a mask while doing his jobs. Giving him a mask and a lot of money, the man then asked him to do jobs for his organization. Of course, with the money he had been given, Hideaki easily accepted it. The man then proceeded to tell him everything he needed to know about Itex, the mask organization and what he must do. To say at first, Hideaki found their ideas ridiculous was an understatement. He had almost tempted to call the man crazy but after he had been given a mask, and did what the man had told him to do, Hideaki had changed his mind. Well, he could have a job that earned him a lot of money, interesting adventures that suited him just fine. Who was he to refuse the temptation and the money?
Attitudes
ā Harumitsu Rakugaki: 'He's a good gang leader... Unfortunately, fate doesn't seem to like him. I consider him one of my very few friends. I heard that he is released this year... I wonder if I can join his gang again'
(I will talk to the others to decide what my character's relationships with them will be)
Other
Hideaki actually hates to transform from Hermit back to himself since at that moment, he can at least catch a glimpse of the limit of his own greediness and truth to be told, it terrifies him since he can feel a strange thirst for more and more. Even though he has already known that he is greedy, the fact that he is that sicked and twisted sometimes makes him even afraid of himself.
