Upon entering the shuttle Roran, noticed he was the only organic there, not even a pilot. "Shuttle departing hanger bay." the voice was disembodied but very familiar, Geth. The shuttle then departed and made a quick beeline for the Bailey's hanger. Once landed the Geth voice spoke again, "Shuttle has landed at NES Dreadnaught Armando Bailey. Have a nice day." Shuttle door opened to revile a female human holding a data pad with a large armed Krogan in full armor. In a soft yet annoyed voice the human said, "Welcome to the Bailey, I'm Dock Officer Lt. Natasha Heal and this is LCDR Gro'od Jerulek head of security. As you are the only one on this shuttle I already looked you up, and I see you were brought to the fleet to fix a gun before we left. Now your looking to leave, well sorry but that is far out of the question. LT Gro'od will escort you to the main hall. It serves as the main large group briefing room and our makeshift council hall. The captain and representatives will answer what questions they can, after that you can go from there." She taped the data pad a few times, then scanned Roran with her Omni tool. After a nod to the Krogan she about-faced and walked to a console on the wall. Gro'od motioned with his head and a grunt to a door, then started walking in that direction.

As Gro'od escorted Roran to the lift, "Ha ha, what doesn't this ship have. Mass accelerator cannon, two duel Thanix cannons, of course a the GARDIAN system and a few other toys I cant talk about." He pulled up his Omni tools vidcom, "Ensign Montgomery meet me in the main hall. You got baby-sitting duty." Then turned is Omni tool off as they entered the lift. "I think you'll like it here, whether you join the crew or not. Most heads of department are vets even before the war, and we have not one but two geth AI. So what do you think of this whole mess?"

Location:Shuttle/Hangar Bay
Jacoopi was being assigned fixing technical problems on shuttles and other ships for a way to earn money.

"I came aboard this damn ship to fly military missions, not be some 'maintenance man' who goes around and tightens loose bolts and nuts. But for now that is what I am going to have to do. I'll find a way around it at sometime." That was the only thing currently on his mind at the time.

The first spacecraft he needed to repair was UT-47 drop shuttle whose cooling system for the thrusters was ruptured. He knew basic repairs such as fixing a hull breach or replacing reactive armor but he has never done any internal systems work for small ships. He only thought it was just a hole in one of the coolant tanks or pumps but then discovered the pump jammed, overheated and then exploded making it so he has to replace the whole thing. It was a bad start to his day.

Gro'od laughed and slapped Roran on the back playfuly, "You worry to much, the fleet hasn't been heard or seen in 15 years. Beside if they do show up, just tell them that you are helping your allies till you could get back to them. And as far as dying, we survived Geth, Collectors, Reapers and Rachni to top it all off. Just relax and live alittle." Just as he had finished saying that, the doors to the lift open to a crowed hallway. Full of members of every race, shouting and arguing. He pulls up his omi tool and pulls up his vidcom, on everyone's omi tool but Rorans, "RRRRRRRR!! QUUUUIIIIIEEEEET!! RELAX EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL AND THE CAPTAIN WILL ANSWER WHAT HE CAN SOON!! AND GET OUT OF MY WAY OR FACE AN ANGRY KROGAN IN CLOSE CROWDED CORRDIERS!!" The crowd parts and quiets down to a low roar. Gro'od looked at Roran, "Sorry about that. Main halls this way." He motioned down the hall.

Gro'od started walking down the hallway, and looked back at Roran, "As far as your species representative, no one, at less not yet. We broke it by ship, and as far as the civilians here they all share one." Over his helmets com, "Captain security is in place and I'm on my way to the hall now sir." He continued walking as he looked back at Roran, "Don't worry so much. You are part of this fleet now, and as such you are under my protection. Plus if you do join this ship as crew, the captain and commander will stand with you. As for anything else you can ask the captain in his briefing." As soon as he got done saying that he got a call on his helmcom, "Gro'od here, go ahead LT." "Ok, I'll have my men direct him to the hall and he can go from there. Gro'od out."

Gro'od looked at Roran, "No I'm going to escort you to the hall and turn you over to one of my men. Who will watch you till we get you straightened out." As he finished saying that he got a call on his helmet com, "When?...Were?...Are you sure?...Ok let the captain know, but we keep going. Put the ship on alert and lockdown all key areas." Turned to Roran as he motioned to a near by Turian guard, "This man will take care of you from now on. I have to take care of something." Looked at the guard, "Escort him to the hall and get one of our Quarian officers up here to take him." Nodded at both of them and took off towards the bow.

The guard looked at the Quarian, "Ok follow me." Started walking towards the hall. "Let me guess, you want to make sure your not in any trouble with your fleet. And you don't want to be here, well would you rather be back on Earth under that dictatorship? Don't worry the captain will take care of everything. Once his briefing is over and you talk to some of our Quarians, I'm sure you'll see everything will be ok. keelah se'lai."

Walking quickly to the elevator Jacoopi pulled up his Omni-Tool to check when the main briefing started.
"Damn it is about to start," he muttered to himself, "If I miss that there is no way I'm going to get assigned to a flight mission."

He rapidly moved into the elevator, pressed the button for main hall, but he noticed a female Drell headed to the elevator. He punched the 'Keep doors Open' button seeing if she needed to ride up. She appeared out of place in the hangar but that said he was a pilot who was not in briefing at this time so he was just as out of place so he did not question her.
Asking her, "You need to get a ride up?" He mentioned with his head to hurry up and get on if she needed to.

Othesat hurries onto the lift with Jacoopi, thinking she will just stick with him and people should not notice her as much. Othesat talks with a very soft soothing voice, much like what you would expect to hear from a mother to her almost sleeping child. "Thank you sir." She stands next to him, but half a set behind. Watching the door close she tries to make plans knowing she can not stay unnoticed on such a busy ship for to long.

A Krogan guard near the lift, "Oh hello pilot. If your here for the briefing, its in the main hall." he called on his helmcom, "We got two more on there way. One of our fighter pilots and it looks like his girl." He then typed on his Omni tool, a moment later Jacoopi's Omni tool flashes ones. "There you go. There is the updated layout, I know you fighter type don't get up to this deck to much. But you better hurry captain wants to start soon. My the sprits guide you. Ma'am have a good day and stay together." As he finish two humans started pushing each other. The guard hurried over and pulled the two apart. He started to talk it over with both of them.

Neeha'Shiro, smiled, "Yes I am. This mean you want to join my team? I'm always looking for help, and it would be nice having a guy of my own species around. Its either more women or male humans, turians, a geth, and we even got a Krogan." Enigma simply nodded at him, "Sorry got to fix this projector, nice to meet you."

All of a sudden over the PA system, "All hands in bound ship. Standby to receive. Engineers, techs and medical to portside airlock." Neeha'Shiro under her breath just loud enough for Roran to hear, "bosh'tet." To Roran, "Sorry I got to go. Hope to see you again. keelah se'lai" She nodded to Roran then Enigma as they both ran out the door. Dr. Valova followed them out.

As Irogol moved into range his sensors pickup four of the Turian frigates had moved between him and the fleet with their weapons powered up. Over the com to Irgol, "Unknown ship this is the Dreadnought Armando Bailey. State your intent." Two of the York class Cruisers power up their weapons and get ready to support the frigates.

Neeha, "Not likely, captain says she is barley space worthy. Besides, got to wait for her to dock. That is if she gets passed our frigates. We're here just incase. Besides even if they have that many commandos this section is already sealed. With a push of a button or a command this section get spaced then their ship gets blasted by the fleet. But you'll learn all that if you join." She then pulled up her Omni tool and started typing on it.

Over the com, "This is Captain Theryrus Siethis, formerly of the Turian Hierarchy. It is good to hear from a the Salarian Union, even if it is from a former officer. Please proceed to these coordinates. Do you require assistance of any kind?" With that the captain sent coordinates for the portside airlock along with docking procedures.

At this time Commander Elana Selani walked into the Main Hall. "Krogan, you are from clan Urdnot? Your with me. Sister Asari..." nodded at Valarirae, "Lieutenant, on me." Then she left the room and headed to the airlock. Upon arrival at the airlock the crew snapped to attention, "As you were. Techs, mechanics bow side, medical stern side. Security both sides. The two of you flanking behind me." Without a moments pause the crew moved as ordered.

Neeha nudged Roran, at a whisper "Come on for now you can standby me as part of my team. At less till we can get you officially assigned some were. By the way I've been looking over your file. Looks good. You were on the fleet to help fix weapons, but your good at fixing many things. Were would you like to be placed?"

"What's that you're eating?"

A pause.

"Oh, this? It's a sandwich."

"... sand. Which. What's it got to do with sand?"

"Nothing."

"Where does the sand factor in?"

"Nowhere."

"Is it crunchy like sand?"

"... not really."

"Is it... is it a part of the food?"

"No, it's... flour."

"That's kind of a sand, right?"

"... no, not really."

"Well, it was worth a shot."

Dr. Hennessey let out a laugh through her nose as she shook her head. "Very funny," she drawled back brightly, rolling her eyes upward as she leaned back straight up from the open doorframe, turning around to walk to the small clean counter inside the kitchenette unit. With a quick roll of a nearby vibroknife, she easily sliced the little rectangle of bread in half and stuck part back into the food storage unit before rubbing her hands together and striding back out into the main room.

The doctor had made it a point to keep things light in the clinic during her shifts. Dr. Valova took care to run a smooth operation in the Armando Bailey's medical bay, but if he was displeased with her relatively soft-handed approach at receiving intakes, then he would have vocalized his disapproval long, long ago. Besides, it was often difficult for other medical officers on shift to find someone to give quick breaks to do simple things, like eat something, or watch the desk for five minutes to catch up on filing post-treatment reports on the designated terminal... and, of course it was the one in the second chamber inside the facility. And if there was one thing that Dr. Valova was surely firm about, it was that eyes were on the front desk at all times when not treating a patient.

The small brunette offered the quarter section of the sandwich to the turian sergeant who'd volunteered to give her a ten-minute break. "Here. If it contained anything deadly to you, I wouldn't have it here in the clinic. Want to try it?"

The gray avian beak-like mouth turned up with a laugh. "Oh. Well, fine." He stood, towering over Dr. Hennessey as he accepted the "new" food. "Why do you make this when there are perfectly good rations out there?"

"Sometimes I like doing things the old way," she sighed quietly with a grin and a shrug. The truth was, she rather liked them. Rations sometimes made her sick to her stomach, anyhow. "Besides. Maybe you'll like it."

The turian laughed a little before stepping respectably around the side of the desk and toward the front entrance of the clinic, pulling his clutched hand up to his mouth to chew exploratively. Dr. Hennessey smiled as she smoothed the front of her white tunic and settled down in her chair, then cupped her hands beneath a sanitizing dispenser before settling down in her light ergonomic chair. "Hmm," the sergeant grumbled through his closed mandibles as they mulled over the small bite. "It's... what is this? Pudding?"

"Turkey, actually," Dr. Hennessey corrected gently.

The turian laughed again. "I don't know a thing about human food," he scoffed self-deprecatively.

"Well, the two aren't often confused," she answered sweetly. She smiled, then nodded gratefully. "Thank you for your assistance, Sergeant," she politely acknowledged. "It's helpful to have breaks."

The alien saluted respectfully. "Of course, Ma'am," he responded before he turned about on his heels to exit.

... until the intercom toned out a warning.

"ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP! ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP! FALL BACK TO THE FRIGATE."

The tones and bells continued to ring out jarringly. "Dammit," the turian zapped out bitterly before nodding his head at the doctor. "Ma'am, you'll have to grab your kit. Follow me," he ordered politely, making a mad dash to continue toward the doorway.

Dr. Hennessey promptly stood and grabbed her pack, cringing as she thought of the scant personal belongings left in her cabin, but felt a moment's relief when she remembered--her most valuable item was always in her bag. She couldn't think of that now, anyhow.

"Come on!" the marine barked, prompting her to give the desk one last look-over before she reached down to clutch her worn leather surgeon's pack, slinging it over her white-sleeved arm and taking off toward the door. Before disappearing through it, she took one last look at the row of metal beds behind the semi-opaque partition behind the desk, eyeing what had been a first good clinic to work in during her career. Fighting back a tear of nostalgia--despite the fact that she was trained to understand that moments like this could happen anytime--she slapped the illuminary panel and let the room go dark before bolting after the turian.
