History: Raen’Rilas, originally nar Teslaya, grew up like the Quarians before the Reaper invasion, suited up and in the same ship that bore his family and families before him. His parents on the Teslaya, a small patrol craft, were both part of the security team onboard the vessel, which influenced how he was raised greatly. He was trained as part of the security team in preperation for after his Pilgrimage, something his family also had history in doing. By the time his Pilgrimige, he was prepared to defend himself and complete his task. The Patrol fleet, the fleet that the Teslaya was part of, had prepared him well. He left for the edge of the galaxy in search for resources untapped by the rest of the galaxy. A combination of luck and determination found what appeared to be nothing more than a field of asteroids, that in fact had a deposit of heavy metals.
Returning to the fleet, at the time the Myni, the ship he had interest in joining, was going through the preperations to redeploy. It had taken nearly two years for Raen’Rilis to find and return with the metals, and his gift was accepted gladly, helping reinforce the hull and structural workings of the Myni. The Myni was a frigate that had been salvaged from a failed pirate attack on the Civilian Fleet, when it had flown, and was ancient by modern standards. Even so, Raen had encountered many technical problems and, despite his Marine training, had opted for the arts of working with machines, due to the amount of work done to keep the vessels he travelled on operating. The very one he arrived in had been salvaged and scrapped, too far gone to be saved as another vessel. His training from his family before Pilgrimage often had him attached to the Fleet Marines as technical support, heavily stretching the abilities of his tech. The Myni was badly damaged while on escorting several civilian vessels while trying to scavange supplies, and Turian vessels in the area helped save the ship from destruction by the ships, later identified as Cerberus craft. Raen volunteered to assist the N7 Spec Ops team the Turians were transferring, and rapidly was assigned wherever tech support was needed, especially after the Admirality Board approved the transfer request.
