-Age: 21

-Gender: Male

-Species: Demon/Mage

-Class: Assasin( An adventurer would be a more proper term)

-Role: Other

-Description: Fergus is tall but not towering, and underneath his robes you will find crimson flesh of well practiced muscles, though not anywhere near the shear of mass of the barbarian in the far north. Though obviously making good first impressions is nearly impossible due to his outward appearance, Fergus rarely carries an intimidating demeanour that isnā€™t intentional. Take away the red skin, and demonic horns, keep the dark hair, and he could almost be called handsome. Almost

-Height: 5ā€™11 (not counting horns0

-Weight: 162 lb

-Hair Color: Black

-Eye Color: Gold

-Weapons: Zathrian (An enchanted sword, effects explained in Skills/Abilities)

-Skill(s)/Ability(s): Being part Mage and part demon youā€™d expect Fergus to be exceptionally powerful, youā€™d however be wrong in assuming that.
While Fergus does possess magical ability and his own reserve of manna, the infernal energies within him donā€™t react well to arcane energy, whenever he attempts any spell both energies try to leave at once, effectively cancelling each other out leaving a fizzled out spell. In order to cast anything Fergus would need to concentrate completely upon that spell, suppressing the demonic to allow only the natural arcane energy to flow through. Becuase of this, he was never able to master complex or large scale spells without losing control of the demon energy that would cancel the spell. Simpler spells he was able to grasp quite well, especially enchantments, which became his specialty.

Enchantment- Fergus is proficient in enchanting just about any piece of equipment, however he cannot add and enchantment to an item that already has one, though he can remove it. He also cannot put more than one enchantment into one item.

Zathrian- If you were to give this blade to anyone claiming it was enchanted, they might call you a liar, because it has no apparent power of its own. That is because the enchantment itself is to take on a variety of enchantments easily. It was designed specifically so that he would have the greatest ease in giving it different effects. Usually these effects are simple elemental charges such as fire, lightning etc. It can only hold one effect at a time, and the sword must be maintained by physical contact with the caster.

Arcane shield- Fergus can erect a mystical barrier around himself and his allies that can withstand most physical and magical attacks, however the larger barrier the harder it is for him to hold it. On top of that it is the most complex and difficult spell for him to perform, one he cannot hold for more than a few short minutes provided he can even concentrate.

Blacksmithing- A skill he excelled at through the training of his (adopted) mother as he can craft quality armaments, however not a master craftsman.

Swordsmanship- His (adopted) mother also instructed him a great deal in combat which, combined with is own experience as an adventurer has given him a proficient and aggressive style of swordplay, not fancy twirls and spins, fast hard hitting strikes.

Demonic sensory- Fergus learned in a few encounters heā€™s had with demonic presences that he could in a way sense them. The sensation comes in the form a vibration in the back of his skull. It is vague however, as he cannot pinpoint a location, and requires the demonic presence to be within 20 meters.

Infernal Wrath- By forcing down his manna and letting his demonic energy to rise it can give him enhanced strength and fighting ferocity, but this change can cloud his mind, putting him in a berserk state, so it is rare for him to use this power unless there are no bystanders around.

-Personality: Fergus is surprisingly reserved and non-malicious as one would assume from first glance and carries a thoughtful look about him most times. Not anti-social, but you wonā€™t often see him starting a conversation, only participating in them when asked. Though heā€™ll never say so, as he is not one to gloat but he has an above average intellect and is able to easily grasp complex and abstract ideas as well as formulate intuitive plans.

He also distastes leaving a task undone when started, and will often finish something just for the sake of finishing it. Rarely does he leave a job half-assed without good reason, and is rather stubborn that way.

Fergus does however have an inborn ā€œwill to dominate natureā€ that he suppresses using his logistical side. This part of him has been with him all of his life and attributes it to his demon blood. For this reason he allows few people to come emotionally close to him, but those who do are often people whom he greatly respects and admires, helping to suppress those dominating urges.

-Bio: Quite obviously the circumstances of Fergusā€™ conception were anything but natural. Father Zathrian, an adventuring mage was visited by what at the time he thought was and impossibly beautiful woman, which he would later discovered to be a demon that only used him to bear a child. Once aware of her plot he and his adventuring companions tracked her down for months until they finally found her preparing a ritual with a newborn babe screaming its head off at a sacrificial alter. When asked the demon woman explained that child of both mage and demon was needed to complete the ritual, but Zathrian and his team decided to end it before she could finish what it was for. Killing her minions as well as her they halted whatever profanity she planned to unleash, leaving only the half-breed newborn.
There was debate on what to do with the child among the company, many opposed to the idea of letting it live for both natural fear, and the possibility that others would come to complete the ritual. In the end however Zathrian took pity on the child and decided to be the father that it would have been denied. Zathrian would later marry one of his adventuring company, Isloda the barbarian of the north, whom became the child now named Fergusā€™ adoptive mother. She and Zathrian would also have a child of their own; Martinus, Fergusā€™ half brother.

Fergus became aware of his heritage at a very young age, mostly due to the townsfolk including the children often avoiding his presence, some would sneer and even spit at him, though having a loving family made the prejudices bearable and prevented him from becoming embittered, though he did long to not be looked at with scorn, disgust or fear. His father and mother taught him and Martinus the ways of the mages and warriors, though because Martinus didnā€™t have demonic energy interfering with his spells he excelled in that area much faster that Fergus could, which was frustrating for him at times. Though it took many years the village they lived in came to accept Fergus as one of their own, not to say there still werenā€™t hecklers now and then.

On his eighteenth birthday his parents forged an enchanted sword for his own personal use. The same year Zathrian died of a brain tumour, so to honour his memory he named the sword after him, and began his own adventures in the world.

-Other:

-Sample Post: Cold air rushed into his lungs as he snapped upright from his s position of slumber, which up until this moment had been peaceful and un-perverted by the sensation emanating from the back of his skull. A low rumbling that he only felt in the presence of a very specific form being. One that was always demonic in nature, and the mere fact that he could feel it meant the it was close, ungodly close.

His golden eyes shifted, franticly scanning for the source of the presence. There! In the trees!

The first thing he noticed was the tattered crimson cloak draped over its forehead and backside. Its skin was a burned corpse like brownish hue, with folds that were segmented by centimeter on each part of its visible body. Not only that, the body itself was emaciated and rotting in certain areas like the stomach and forearms; so much so that Fergus could even see files and maggots in the exposed flesh, the only thing missing would be a repugnant stench that was somehow absent of the demon. It was in a crouching animal stance, the phantomā€™s lidless slitted golden visual organs met directly with Fergusā€™ in way that almost seemed as if it was peering into his very essence.

It sneered and hissed at him, and by the second he knew it was closer to pouncing on him, likely to feast upon his halfing flesh. He went for Zathrian unsheathing it and readied a stance. The disgusting beast dove at him screeching like a crazed banshee, claws ready to rip and tear in violent pleasure and without inhibition. Fergus had concentrated suppressing his demonic energy and let his manna pour into weapon; it ignited in arcane flames, and as soon as the creature closed in on him Fergus swung his blade with great might and the beast fell to the ground.

At fist it seemed the filthy thing was burning form contact with his blade, but rose completely undeterred from the fire as it dimmed into nothing on his already scorched flesh. Realizing its immunity to fire and that his blow might as well had been a strike from a club, Fergus cut off his connection to his blade, and made a new one, this time the blade bristled with sparks flickering and discharging across the length of steel.

The demon lunged at Fergus again as he simultaneously brought down his blade on mighty stroke, ready end this encounter in either death or victory.

So begins...
