Subject shows high gastrointestinal activity.

Subject expressed a state of total mental alertness unconscious. High brain activity compensates for physical weakness.

Subject attracts metals of low density. Magnetism is being further explored.

Subject expressed a severe form of colorblindness. White is a necessity for vision.

Subject does not show much potential. Was clocked at high speeds, but does not seem to display any other mutations.

Subject’s heart rate has decreased to an alarming amount. However, body’s slow metabolism seems to compensate for the lack of nutrients received by vitals. Understood to be able to survive in these conditions.

Monster,” a rough, young voice accused from behind Jeb, who had so briskly read through the documents, skimming only to make sure the flock was alive. It seems the scientists had not yet discerned Max’s and Angle’s true individual potential, nor found Fang’s ability to disappear. Every report tickled his curiosity as he watched the Itex scientist finally unravel the mysteries of their own creations.

“Science is not a monstrosity, Dylan,” Jeb said, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose with his forefinger, “Science is a savior.”

Dylan snorted, falling into the warm, sunbathed leather couch in the cool air conditioned room of the Florida Itex office “You tricked them. I think they were even beginning to like you. To trust you again. Even Max.”

“Don’t say her name,” the madman snapped, throwing the papers into a messy pile on his desk, “Besides, they agreed to help save the world. They’ve done their part. The labs can have them back. Now we need to focus on creating more who are better than them.”

The blonde boy frowned, unconvinced with Jeb’s reasoning. The past year had proved futile to Dylan; being only eighteen months had made it difficult to quickly absorb and understand the mechanisms of the world.

He understood this, though. He knew it was wrong. Max and the Flock had the right to be free. So why were they behind bars for the umpteenth time?

He bit his lower lip, stretching his arm out to reach for the cold glass of lemonade Jeb had offered when they had arrived. Jeb. Insane didn’t even begin to breech his case. But Dylan felt his gut telling him not to push this man. That this man would kill him if given enough incentive.

“Soon enough this will all be a bad memory. And look, you might even get your own flock.” Jeb said, breaking the silence and smiling at his own reflection in the window.

Twenty-one long, hard years have passed since the six soaring miracles disappeared from media. Practically ripped right out of heaven, they were a sensation in their time, making headlines everywhere. Then, one day, they just disappeared.

Almost immediately, media outlets began labeling their disappearance a government initiative. Claimed that the little freaks were just the result of some poor U.S. formulated experiment off the coast of Cuba. It’s questionable, how the media so quickly materialized these stories, but their unreliability quickly dissolved any tension between Americans and the government. By the time a year passed, the “mutants” were history.

But the mutants weren’t gone.

Itex had reclaimed what was rightfully theirs. In a cruel and twisted experiment, they had simply tested the children’s ability to survive in a harsh environment in order to more perfectly create a new generation of mutants.

Now, is the time of that generation.

“Sabotage!”

You’ve never heard that word screamed so many times in your entire life.

But then again, you’ve never really been out of your cell either.

The lab is complete and total chaos. Chairs, desks, and whitecoats are being flung everywhere; sharp shards of glass are sprawled across the floor and you wince when you feel a stinging cut on the sole of your feet. Mutants of every size and shape are trying to make a break for it, before they're caught. You can see them ramming bolted doors down, amazing the scientists, who had created and underestimated them. A few flying ones had rushed for the glass sunrooves; an apt explanation for the wrecked remains of glass all over the floor.

“Release the Hunters!” Someone screeches through the chaos.

The Hunters. The Hunters are coming. You can already hear their hisses slither through the hallways sending chills down your spine. The Hunters are ruthless. They will apprehend whatever they can and kill what they can’t.

You must escape with your life. You must escape for your freedom.

This is an MR rp that will follow the lives of two groups of mutants:

The Flock: A group made up of eight young Avian-Human hybrids.

And

The Liberators: A group made up of five young mutants, none of which are avian human hybrids.

Your character was born and raised as a test subject. They tested your intelligence by teaching you reading, writing, and basic math. They tested your emotions by allowing brief and controlled interaction with scientists and even other test subjects. But more than anything, they tested you physically. Endurance tests, life or death situations, countless escapes from the Hunters. Never allowing you to actually fly, but they let you get as close as possible.

Now, after many long, hard, years of endurance, bravery, and hope, two groups’ of young mutants will start a long journey beginning with their escape from a huge Colorado lab, a result of mutiny from within the lab. From there on out, each group will form (separately), and then create one main goal: To end the antics of Itex.

While the two groups will go about it differently, there will be instances where they team up. For the most part, however, they will travel separately and go about ending Itex their own ways (possibly leading to confrontations between the groups when the two don’t agree.).

They will often be tracked by

The Hunters: A group of genetically modified, Half Bat, Half Human mutants that do the bidding of the whitcoats. They serve the same purpose that the Erasers did.

This is a direct sequel to the original MR series; the rp takes place in the same world, and may even possibly see the appearance of characters from the books.

Throughout the story, the characters will evolve in terms of characterization, and there will be arcs to help steer the plot along.

Enemies and Terms you need to know.

Itex
Itex is an underground facility that runs illegally conducted experiments on various life forms. While the bulk of their "lab rats", so to speak, are humans, they have been known to use domestic animals, such as dogs and cats. Experimentation usually commences from the fetal stage, where the fetus is either removed from the mother before birth, and becomes and test tube baby, or is carried throughout the gestation period but declared stillborn at birth, and taken from the parent. From then on out the newborn is grown and experimented upon in one of Itex's various worldwide Labs. While the majority of Itex's laboratories are situated in the United States, they've been known to have a stray lab or two in other countries. A synonym used by experiments for the lab is "The School".

The Hunters
Itex's latest form of mutant slaves. The Hunters are half-bat half-human mutants with the unfortunate ability to track stray mutants. Their speed in the air is on par with those of the bird-kids, and, coupled with an incomprehensible amount of strength and stamina, these are mean mutant hunting machines.

Whitecoats
Scientist. They’re basically a big group of brains who make sure to keep out of the government radar. Their major goal is to produce an army of bird-kid mutants to serve under them.

Biology

General Mutant Biology
Mutants are a life form (usually a human or some other mammal in the case of Itex), whose genes have been altered in unnatural ways to give them powers most normal subjects of their species would not have. Sometimes the changes are completely obscure, and have to do with the inner mechanisms of the subject. Other times, the powers manifest in the form of physically altered outer appearances.

Bird Kid Biology
Avian Homo Sapiens are humanized birds with 95% human DNA and 2% generalized avian DNA. The similarities they have to birds have all come into being in order to adjust their bodies to flight. They are equipped with a full pair of feathered wings that usually measure several feet more than twice their height and are colored with tones that reflect their natural hair colors. Their bones are hollow and porous, and their human lungs are accompanied by bird-like air sacs. There are slight indentations on either side of their spine that allow their wings to properly fold in. They have eagle sharp vision during the day, but are as blind as humans at night. Because flight takes an immense amount of energy, the children’s bodies have a high metabolism rate, and a faster-than-normal heartbeat. Their healing rate is also noticeably faster than the average humans, and their body temperatures run a few degrees higher than normal. They are skinny, tall, and extremely light in terms of weight (In the 100 lb range). However, despite the apparent visual drawbacks, enhanced musculature means they are usually able to overpower the average man.

Hunter Biology
Hunters are half-bat half-human mutants. Their main ability is the ability to morph into a terrifying bat like creature, with razor sharp fangs, and fur that varies from dark brown to black. Large ears, and specialize vocal cords assist in echolocation. While they are able to morph most of their body, their wings are unable to be morphed away. As humans, their defining features are unnaturally sharp teeth. For the most part, however, they are human. Their hair colors are usually brown to black, so the children are wary of most people they meet.

After passing the bajillionth trashcan, Storm decided to take a quick peek inside. Empty and flawlessly clean.

"A clean trashcan? Definitely something wrong with this place," He muttered to himself, trying to see the humor in the situation. It worked a little bit.

Of course being giddy from an adrenaline high might have also helped. It was just weird to feel giddy when he was running for his life, and starving on top of that. If that trashcan had had food in it he probably would've ate it. Scratch that, he definitely would've ate it, even though the thought of it made him grimace.

What a glamorous life a mutant escapee had. Maybe he'd write a book and that would be the title. A Mutant Escapee's Glamorous Life. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts; hunger or exhaustion was making them wander erratically and he needed to focus. He trotted steadily down the street and concentrated hard on listening and looking and generally being attentive.

He failed spectacularly at it.

He didn't see the girl until she was in his face, and even then it was just a white and tan blur coming at him at a dangerous speed. In that endless millisecond his instincts screamed at him to attack, to knock that thing back before it got too close and then beat the crap out of it, but his eyes and brain slowed everything down and he saw a girl with panic on her face, wings out behind her, flailing helpless against her own speed as she headed straight for him. No danger, no attack. He froze -a comically surprised look on his face- and she slammed into him.

They both crashed to the ground hard and though he managed to yank his hands out of his pockets in a last minute panic, he landed on his back anyway, and hard at that. He grunted in pain with the impact as the air was knocked out of him. It was silent and still for a moment while he gasped quietly for breath, waiting for the pain from his fairly minor injuries to recede to a dull throb.

"Ow," he said, voice strained. He'd live. He grimaced as the girl's wings drooped on either side of him, blocking his vision.

Oh right...the girl.

The reason he was down here on the ground having a heart attack and seeing stars. He felt a flash of irritation and then anger, completely unreasonable but it was there. He was silent for a moment while he told himself it was stupid, then it melted away and he started to lever himself up onto his elbows, careful not to shove the girl off of him. That wouldn't be nice.

"You okay?" He finally asked, tone hesitant and guarded.. but strangely relieved. From what he could see, she was young, at least five years younger than him. Something about her was familiar... he'd probably seen her at some point in the labs, but he had no memories and no name to attach to the vague sense of familiarity. Point of the matter was, that she was another person... in fact, another bird kid. The hard knot of unease in his chest loosened up and he started to feel giddy again, but this time it was probably just from pure relief.

Faint heard his thoughts the second her own fear and panic left her. Sarcastic pain and a flash of irritation mixed with anger was all she could really make out in her own confused state. She couldn't feel emotions, but she could sense them laced through thoughts.

The moment he moved under her, pushing on his elbows, she jumped back, falling into a sitting position not even a foot away from him. She could see the question form on his lips, and she nodded a little too quickly. Her wrist felt sprained, and both palms and a knee had nice little scrapes on them.

She wiped the back of her hand over her forehead, only smearing more blood around. Nothing hurt due to adrenaline, but she knew the blood coming from her hairline had been from a hunter back at the school, not from this little adventure.

The longer they sat there, the more relaxed he became. She could sense the thoughts flash through his mind, and she didn't blame him from being guarded. She was too. And scared. And then he thought of something that made her perk up: bird kid. In fact, if she tilted just the right way, she could see his wings hidden behind a large jacket.

The sight reminded her of her own wings, which she quickly snapped up and folded closely to her back. The movement made her wince, they were clipped from buildings and cut from glass and she'd taken a total of three grand falls from her escape that had pressed them in odd shapes.

She reached out one shaky hand, very slowly, and touched her fingers to where she guessed his wings would be right behind his shoulders. She could only imagine how bad that had hurt.

"Sorry."

She'd mouthed the word. No sound ever came out of her mouth. She knew how to work her vocal cords, she just didn't like too. It was to know what it sounded like.

Cye was exhausted. He'd been running way too much for his body. He was used to physically pushing himself but he'd already been forced to work hours before everything had happened...and then to run like that? It just wasn't plausible.

When he finally made it into the city, sheltered by tall buildings, he stumbled his way onto a park bench and just crashed there, looking up at the sky and breathing deeply. It took him about ten entire minutes to figure out what was so wrong with the whole thing.

It was too damn quiet.

He sat up slowly and looked around. He couldn't remember a lot about cities before he had been taken, but he had recurring dreams about them. This...was wrong. Where were all the people? All the cars? Where was all the noise?

Cye pushed himself up slowly and started walking. There was a cold breeze, but Cye didn't feel it. Even after losing his shirt from his bones ripping it to shreds he couldn't feel cold.

He walked quietly down the street, every fiber in his being completely on alert. There was no possible way he had stumbled into a city that was completely empty.

Storm pushed himself up all the way as the girl literally jumped away from him, and gulped in several breaths of wonderful air. He glanced over in time to see her nodding at him almost at the same moment he spoke. Weird. He dismissed it and studied her, noting the small scrapes and abrasions, the blood on her face, the careful way she held her wrist. She had a few injuries, but nothing seemed broken and she wasn't bleeding to death.

"Yep, that's me, the amazing Doctor Storm," He muttered self-mockingly, gaze jerking up when the girl snapped her wings in. "Well," he began, but stopped when the girl reached out and pointed somewhere near his shoulder... presumably at his wings. She mouthed an apology and his eyebrows shot up.

"No big deal," He said, tone and expression nonchalant, as if she hadn't just knocked him flat on his back. He reluctantly pushed himself to his feet, brushed the dirt off of his clothes, and offered the girl a hand, pulling her carefully to her feet if she took it. He stretched briefly, trying to relax his sore muscles, and glanced around, scanning windows of shops and buildings for signs of life.

Nope, nothing. Well, there was that blaring alarm he'd been trying to tune out for the past ten minutes. He turned back to the girl.

"This place creeps me out," He told the girl matter of factly. He paused, frowning and looking at her. Then he blurted the inevitable. "You can't talk?"

Those crackpot scientists had probably tried to replace her vocal chords with lasers or something. Wait. Prioritize, idiot. What kind of question was that to ask at a time like this?

He grimaced at himself and rubbed his hand over his face, then through his hair. "Nevermind, that question isn't even important right now. We should get out of here." He started forward a couple steps, then stopped suddenly and glanced back at her, as if it had just occurred to him that she might not want to go anywhere with him. Which it had.

"Uh. If you want to," He added, expression chagrined.

Nope. Not awkward at all.

Shade grinned at Static’s hello comment. He didn’t see why a hello was so important. It was a waste of breath and he announced his presence well enough with his warning. From the way she and her brother tensed, he could tell they appreciated that well enough. He preferred warning over useless words any day. Now he just wished he could actually see the threat, if it was truly a threat. Was it a mutant like him, someone able to vanish in plain sight? Was she a chameleon or were their conditions? There certainly weren’t many shadows in the direction he had seen the other mutant vanish so he or she wasn’t dependent on them.

He looked over at Static when she began to call for peace. He straightened a little so he didn’t look ready to pounce on anyone and leaned against a wall as he continued to scan the area. Huh, did the other mutant run away by now? “Jayson, Static, Jabberjay,” he greeted, “I am Shadow, but you can call me Shade,” he answered. “I have no ill will towards any of you.”

Shade saw a blur then and quickly snapped his attention to the girl that had leaped out of the alley. He tensed and crouched low again and winced at the pain in his injured arm. He reached up to clutch it and try to ease its ache. This girl didn’t have wings, but she did have a cool looking tail. It looked so soft. He almost wanted to go over to her and touch her tail. Almost. He gave her a nod in greeting as well and eyed her. He didn’t like those sudden movements. They made him kinda jumpy and he was already anxious as it was about this people-less city.

“I think we should all get out of here. This place gives me an uneasy vibe,” he warned. He was sure the others felt it to.

Faint had seen his lips move, but she was never very good at reading mutters, and her eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to focus. It didn't really matter though, his thoughts were clear. He was assessing her injuries just as she had done, and a smile tugged at her lips as she heard his sarcastic doctor comment.

She was cautious when he offered her a hand, but for the first time in her life she didn't particularly feel afraid. The only dark undertones she could find in his head came from the same place her own did. He seemed trustworthy. A lot like her. SO he took it, and he pulled her up carefully.

As he scanned the area she was reminded of the fact that the place was scarily empty, but of course she had no idea what alarm had gone off. Was still going off? She nodded along to his thoughts unintentionally, agreeing that she was just as creep-ed out as she was.

Then he looked at her, and by the quick thought that filtered across his mind, she knew what he said he hadn't really meant to. "You can't talk?"

A smile appeared on her face, a dark and humorless smile. He was right on some level, the crazy scientist had jacked her up, but not in the way he was thinking. And while she agreed that the question wasn't important at the moment...she didn't mind answering.

He moved past it before she got the chance, and then he was moving. If his thoughts hadn't been so open she would have never figured out why, and then he looked back at her.

She weighed her options for just a moment. Follow the seemingly trustworthy mutant bird kid, or stay in the creepy, empty, city all alone.

She nodded her head much too quickly and jogged a couple of steps to catch up to him.

"I can talk," she murmured, forcing her vocal cords to work. Her voice came out more monotone than normal, and her words weren't pronounced right. "I can't hear."

Storm unconsciously let go of the breath he'd been holding as she nodded and caught up with him. He waited for her and then turned and started to walk quickly down the street, almost fast enough to be a trot but not quite. He glanced over to make sure she was able to keep up and she spoke as he did so, the words oddly flat and uneven.

"I can't hear."

"Oh," He replied eloquently, processing that and it's implications. She must have been reading his lips this entire time... it'd be harder to communicate unless she could see him. He could think of many, many situations where a constant visual would be impossible... most of them unpleasant. His gears started turning faster, going back to a couple brief moments when she'd reacted to him when he hadn't said a thing and to the fact that half the time he hadn't been looking at her when he spoke to her.

"You have some kind of power that helps you with it?" He guessed. He couldn't begin to wonder what, but so far he was pretty sure he was right. Or it had all been coincidence. "I figured it's better to ask these questions now rather than later. In case something happens." Which he was almost 200% positive that it would. That it was already happening in fact.

"And I guess while I'm questioning you to death I should ask your name," He said, jokingly and apologetic at the same time. "Mine's Storm."

He stopped to let her get a word in and glanced around warily as he did so. The city was definitely empty of normal people, but he fully expected to see flashes of dark leathery wings between buildings or overhead. He glanced up while he was at it, but it was dark, and unless something was about 20 feet above him, he wouldn't be able to see it. The thought of an ambush from above made him feel vulnerable and somehow claustrophobic.

They -they, what a wonderful word- would need food and maybe shelter. She would need different clothes. Shelter long enough to rest and then they would be on the run -or fly- again. Something, maybe a primitive instinct, maybe pure common sense, told him that hiding somewhere and waiting to be found would be a horrible idea. He didn't bother thinking long term, for reasons he was realistically aware of but did his best not to think about.

And while he was thinking short term... he stopped and turned to face Faint. "The store I got these clothes from is just down the block," He said with a frown. "We'll have to go back but it's not far. It's probably better to get your clothes there than go into a populated town here it will be harder."

He didn't like the idea of going back - especially if it meant running into a pursuer. But it would only take a couple minutes.

Once he'd gotten the girl's consent, he wheeled around and lead the way back down the block at a nearly impatient pace.

JABBERJAY POV

"I'm Jayson. I was running and found myself here. I have no plans of harming you if you do not harm me." Jabberjay’s lips formed a grin when he heard the brown-haired girl’s name. Surely, any nicknames were bound to cause confusion among the group. But, putting that at the back of his mind, his eyes squinted into the darkness, trying to look for whatever it is the white-haired one had been talking about.

It was pitch black in the direction Jay was staring. He couldn’t see, or hear anything. And then abruptly, a vaguely humanoid shape, dark and featureless, seemed to have zapped in front of the boy…Shade. As quickly as it had appeared, it had disappeared, and Jabberjay felt an uneasy feeling boiling over in his stomach. Before he could address what he’d seen, the mutant from behind the dumpster hopped over their head landing in threatening pose in front of them.

She was a tiny little thing (compared to Jabberjay), with blonde hair, ice blue eyes, and a long fluffy tail that was impossible not to notice. Jabberjay snorted as she puffed out her chest and, rather rudely, asked, “What are you doing?”

Jay was sure if this had been a better time Static would have face-palmed by now.

STATIC POV

If Static could have slapped her brother right there and then, she would have. He was being a rude arse. And the whole point, at the moment, was to make friends, not enemies. Not even frenemies.

“I think we should all get out of here. This place gives me an uneasy vibe.”

And apprehensive feeling pervaded Statics chest when she realized that she and Shade were most probably the oldest among the group. She grimaced; while she agreed with Shade, there was no saying the younger mutants would follow suit. In fact, if she was one of them, she knew now was about the time that she would very rebelliously start questioning the, because hey, who’s to say they were trustable.

Static straightened her back, and looked over the group. Tense, hungry, beaten, faces stared back at her. For a minute of mental pain, the memories of the school flashed into her mind. The picture were vivid. Why wouldn’t they be? Their escape had only been about two hours ago. Gaunt faces, emaciated bodies, hopelessly, desolate eyes, all blankly staring out of their cages, waiting for some whitecoat to come and perform more experiments on them, or yell at them yet again for not passing a test.

Static flinched. The pain felt almost real. Taking a deep breath, she sighed. Right now, the best choice seemed to be sticking together. Safety in numbers.

“Okay,” she said slowly, turning her head to meet the eyes of everyone she could see, “I think the first thing we need to do if find out where we are. And for that to happen, I think we need a computer,” she pronounced the word carefully. Static had never used a computer. Of course the Whitecoats would never allow them to use something that could assist in their possible escape. But she knew what one was. From reading the skimpy articles they had thrown at her, to improve her cognitive skills, and from observing Whitecoats tapping away on the keyboards of their various laptops. Computer seemed to be a reasonably helpful thing in this situation.

“This city is huge. Huge, but empty. I’m sure, if we scavenge enough we can find some kind of computer store,” she shrugged. Where were computers sold? In fact where was anything sold? How the outside world worked was an enigma to Static. Before now, she’d never in her life, even seen a basic store. That sold anything. Except for that market, when they’d first arrived.

Huffing she looked down at her ripped up clothing, noticing that Shade had clothes remarkably different from the standard dirty and beat clothes they were usually offered at the School.

“But first, I think we should find a clothing store…” She looked up at Shade apologetically, “You mind taking us to where you found those clothes? Oh! And you’re all welcome to come along.” Static called out, in what she hoped sounded like a friendly tone, “We, me and my brother, don’t have anyone else here…so well…safety in number…”

It was the first time Static had stuttered or clammed up since the group had gotten together. The adrenaline rush that had her going from before was all out of her system now. But either way, this whole group thing was beneficial. And it was be an opportune moment for them to get to know each other.

He was fast. She figured because he was taller, but she wasn't going to let herself fall behind. She kept her steps quick and right on his heels. She listened as his thoughts processed what she told him. He caught on fast, knowing that she was reading his lips. It was hard to communicate without vision...and even though she could be in peoples heads that didn't always help.

Thoughts were erratic. They moved from one stream of information to another and rarely met what a person was actually saying. They rarely lined up right, because once words were falling out of a persons mouth their thoughts were moving on to something else.

Her chest tightened painfully as he went over the times that her presence would be dangers. Not being able to hear...it was a huge handicap. She was reminded of waking up int he lab...with seemingly no idea what had been going on around her. But as his thoughts kept moving, a guilty smile appeared on her face. He was quick.

"I can hear your thoughts," she answered, louder than she meant to given the expression on her face that would have normally belonged to a low, embarrassed murmur. She hated talking. With a passion. It didn't help that she knew her voice didn't sound right--she could tell from his thoughts on it. So she tried to enunciate and speak slowly. She wished she could sign--but she highly doubted he would understand it.

She stopped just behind him. Storm. His name was Storm. It fit, she thought. He looked like a Storm. She followed his lead in looking around. She had good eyesight, but she'd gotten too comfortable for a girl who just barely escaped with her life. She was reminded suddenly of how wrong the situation around them was. There should be people.

As the short mention of food filtered across his mind, her stomach gave an uncomfortable lurch. She'd had her last meal taken away from her for bad behavior the night before...she hadn't eaten anything in more hours than she could count. Shelter sounded like a good idea too...something to close off the sky. It would kill her after all this open air but...they weren't the only ones that could fly.

She agreed with him though...any long term hiding wouldn't be good. They needed to keep moving. Hopefully they could find some place much less creepy than where they currently were.

She dropped her eyes to his mouth the moment she realized he was talking again, and followed his words instead of his thoughts. She nodded quickly with what he said and looked down at her bare feet. She needed shoes too. She'd scraped them pretty good on the branches and glass that covering them would probably do some good.

And then he was moving again, an she walked at a slow sprint to keep up with him. "Thank you," she whispered. "For not leaving me behind."

For someone who had trust issues the way she did...she never thought she'd be happy to have company.

Percei was disoriented when she woke. After running all through the night, she decided it was smart for her to nap during the day. As much as she hated letting her guard down, the sleep was necessary. It had gotten harder and harder to keep her eyes open for the long hours. Exhaustion eased its way into her mind, and surely she was out as soon as her head landed on the rough bark of a tall tree.

When her eyes opened, she listened. More. In the city? Where else would a bunch of ragtag mutants go? She scrunched up her face, thinking harder. Slowly, power meandered into her. Not enough to use, but it was a sign. It was a conscious feeling not powerful enough to cause any damage. Leaping down from the tree, Percei landed on the balls of her feet. In the distance she could see the city lights. Taking a deep breath, she ran towards the city.

Jayson stood quietly but was still on alert for the other mutant. Whoever it was could pose a threat and she was willing to defend herself despite her exhaustion. She sighed lightly. All she wanted was her freedom and now she had to worry about something that should've been given to her at birth if she even was born or actually in her case it should have been gifted to her by her creation in a test tube right? She shook her head not wanting to entertain that thought anymore. Only now her thoguhts traveled elsewhere.

'We'll see how many confusions our nicknames cause between me and Jabberjay.' she thought but wanted to slap herself for thinking so. Why should she think of something like that now? He was cute yes but as of right now another dire situation like freedom. She ran away though exhausted she ran away and made it this far so she wasn't about to just give it up without a fight.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

I think I am imaginative as well and I like that vampire description XD. As long as you don't mind me not being able to respond right away, I am done with anything. :3 Life gets in the way of the fun things sometimes. XP

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Well if you guys think anything up shoot me a PM. I like to think I'm pretty creative...but I have a very low chance of ever disappearing on anyone so...yeah count me in

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

@ Fadded
Thanks ^.^ We'll be sure to pm you if we think anything up.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

I had an idea, one that I wouldn't put into effect for possibly a year or more, involving a supernatural apocalypse or something supernatural related, but I would have to make sure there were creative people who wouldn't draw inspiration from tired old cliches. For example, instead of having a vampire that was bitten and is like Edward Cullen, maybe have a vampire that is a corpse animated with a piece of soul that a person left behind, maybe because some sorrow or injustice kept part of them rooted to the earth. Or even people who would take inspiration from the Dresden Files. I find everything about that series is unique, refreshing, and interesting.

If you haven't read it, it's a terrific read by the way. There are about 12 books out so far.

But yeah, something like that. Something well thought out and something I can take months to create. But I'm also worried about doing it because I don't know how many creative people are on this site. I would hate to spend a year planning an RP and then have newbs and Twilight wannabes filling it up.

But yeah, as for MR, I'd like for it to continue but I think Ichigo is right. Not enough love for the series. It's just like Kingdom Hearts and DC Comics. I started so many RPs using those two universes only to have maybe five people join. :(

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Awwww... Well if you guys want to do a smaller scale mutant rp, You guys can always pm me. :3 I'd be down for it.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

What Abridged says is true. I just got back from vacation today and am pretty worn out. I think the other problem is that there isn't enough love for MR anymore anyway, which kind of sucks. I don't think this could continue; too many people have left. Though perhaps we could start another mutant rp, diverged from this, I feel like there's not enough MR love anymore.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

It seems that we got too excited about this RP and started it earlier than we should have. I already knew I was moving soon but I figured I would have plenty of time to still post. Although I probably could still participate, there is the fact that no one has posted in a while and some people seem to have left the RP. Ichigo is also busy with real life stuff, so I'm not sure if we will be continuing or not.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Sorry guys, I've been pretty busy recently. I haven't really had much free time to myself. >.<

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Well I'm still around...that's all I can say lol

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Has anyone heard from Ichigo? I'm trying to figure out who is still here so we can get this rolling again.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Alright, I'm back guys. We are moved in and I -obviously- have internet again. :D I am ready to get this show on the road.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Okay, once again because apparently the first post didn't go through. Sorry for my absence guys. I have family visiting, and so for the past few weeks have barely had any time to myself, and probably won't have time till Sunday, when they leave. So till then...well I dunno. We'll just see when I come back, I guess :/ I'll try to see if I can make some more time today and tomorrow, cause hopefully they shouldn't be doing much that would involve me in some way.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

I am still here. Sorry for my off and on appearance as well. Work has been kicking my butt as of late. Towards the end of this month, I'll also be moving lol.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Hmmm, unless Ichigo comes back, this is going to be postponed for another week. I'm moving in a few days and I'm going to be busy. I hope everyone is still here, because by next week, we are definitely going to pick this back up.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

We may or may not have to skip them. Ichigo seems to have disappeared too. o_o

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

I posted a little while ago. Sorry I was busy with work and a new dog we rescued for the past few days. I thought someone would have posted while I was away. :/ I think we are waiting on two more people before we go around posting again.

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

I was going to wait until you guys got to the store to post again, don't more people need to post?

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted

Sorry for the absence guys. what's going on? I figured someone would have posted in my absence?

Re: Maximum Ride: The Hunted
