Description

Image

Name: Chemda and Adira Shapiro
Gender: both are female
Age: 17 each (they are twins)
Height: 5'7"
Appearance: They actually have the same tanned skin tone and brown color to both their eyes and hair. Both even share the same build: slender, yet athletic. From there, however, the similarities in appearance end.

Chemda sports long enough hair that it would fall down a third of her back. The Benjlakki Republic Navy has insisted that it be cut to a more manageable size for safety reasons, but she has not complied, so far. Therefore, the most they can get her to do is pull it back into a ponytail when in action. Add that to her civilian clothing of beige shirts and skirts of the same color that reach down to her knees, and you have a simple-yet-elegant young lady with a charm of her own. She is not typically seen outside her blue uniforms unless docked somewhere for supplies and such.

Adira's hair is short to where it is above her shoulders, as she understands the need for practicality. When not in uniform, she sports all-black clothing, typically a sleeveless shirt and pants. Do not let her more innocent-looking face (which still looks like a young adult's, by the way) fool you: as stated in the personality section, Adira is one serious lady.

Role: Navy Pilots, Brown wing Team

Rank (currently): They are both the rank of Private.

Fighting Style (applies to military personnel): Chemda and Adira are both graceful in movement, both inside and outside a mech. They were previously gymnasts, so that is why they know how to maneuver so well. since being drafted, they put the same care into their mechs (their father is a mechanic). The Shapiro twins are almost always seen overcoming the obstacles of war's battles together. Seeing them separate is a rare occurrence. Chemda handles the ranged portion, Adira executes the melee.

Strengths: A deadly force to be reckoned with as a pair working together. They balance each other quite swimmingly in terms of ranged and melee.

Weaknesses: The twins work best as a team. Separate them from each other, and their chances of survival are incredibly lower, as neither one is as efficient flying solo.

Personality: Chemda is the more cheerful and energetic of the twins, not to mention more sociable. She is one of those girls whom is relatively easy to get along with. On the other hand, Adira is a bit more... serious... in demeanor. By serious, I mean so much so that it borderlines no-nonsense, part of the time. There are times when something meant as a joke will be taken seriously. It can also be said that Adira is the more level-headed, since Chemda does tend to overreact in different ways.

History: Chemda and Adira are, oddly enough, unsure of their own place of birth. They only have partial memories of their childhoods, which involve a mother and father who seemed to have been more protective than you would typically see in parents. Although, they do remember a lab of sorts that they and their parents came out of and instantly came to the surface and saw wildlife and plants as far as the eye could see. The lab, as far as they could tell from their few memories of their childhood pasts before living more "normal" lives, appeared completely deserted. From the moment the forest is seen in all its beauty from where they were, everything is completely hazy.

The memories only resume from when Chemda and Adira are a couple years older, on their first day of kindergarten in the region of Southeastern Fertaninn. From the start, they were different from their peers physically. They were faster, stronger, and more nimble. While the specified physical attributes were only slightly to moderately higher than the average child their age at the time it was found out, it was enough to cause fear in both kid and parent during the initial days of school. Eventually, Chemda managed to calm down those fears with her sweet and sociable persona.

Adira, on the other hand, kept to herself due to her own fears. Something within her memories, which her sister lacked, has caused her to wonder if she is definitely human, a question she asked herself to this day. In spite of this longtime question she asked herself, she dared not tell her twin what all she was remembering, lest she worry her to the brim. Adira decided to have the two of them live as "normal" a life as possible. To distract the two twins, Adira decided early on to sign the both of them up for gymnastics wherever possible, where at least they would be doing something with their above-average abilities.

Their beauty and skill as gymnasts earned them the adoration of many a male fan that came to watch them. Unfortunately, this came with attention from not just the more innocent sort of fans that had high school crushes on them, but also that of stalkers whom did not have the best of intentions. Eventually, this culminated in an event where the twins' true fighting capabilities on foot were revealed. So long as they remained close to one another in the encounter, they were able to fend off would-be rapists. It was instinct, horrible instinct that nearly killed someone without either girl intending it. Thankfully, no lethal blows were dealt and the attackers got away, leaving the young ladies with their dignity intact. At first, Chemda and Adira were relieved it was over, yet the one dilemma resulted in another: law enforcement and reserve military personnel witnessed firsthand the twins' deadliness in combat. The report coming from that was the deciding factor in them winding up drafted to fend off the Metargo invasion, not even realizing their genes were altered for this purpose.

Nationality (Benjlakki or Metargo): Benjlakki (Chemda: "Well, we've been living here as long as we can remember, right?" Adira: "It is the most logical assumption of what our heritage is.")

So begins...

Chemda and Adira finally managed to defeat a formidable Falcon together. When they the other Eagles heading towards the Titan, they figured they ought to help out until they saw the fighting on the other side of the battle. Turning their mech's heads towards each other and having them nodding in agreement, the twins flew towards the scene of heavy fire. Without even communicating through words, they worked as a team and gracefully fought their way to the scene. Actually being in the midst of the intense fighting caused some worry. One hit from the sonic canon would surely be in the end of one of them. Of course, with the mech dogfighting so intense in the area, their primary focus was to wade it out until the moment they can strike at the canon.

--

Field Marshal Constantini observed from the holographic map the battle between the fleets, which was getting more intense by the moment. Once he heard communications with the 101st Fleet were completely cut, he finally had enough. thankfully, the long-range artillery was relatively intact. "Aim the guided missiles at the enemy ships, and don't hit any of our own forces!" From miles away, the artillery fired, guided missiles making their way towards the Metargo ships. The actual damaged would be known, later.

--

One of the other squadrons escorted Laurence Vance back to the mech bay, where he was ordered to stand by in another Praetorian until the situation calls for his assistance, again. Fro now, all anyone in the bunker could do was wait.

--

Saul saw the scenario and told Admiral Preston, "This may be a the time to launch. Be careful: enemy artillery has fired upon our fleet. from the ground, several miles away from the coast. Your priority is to protect the ships and stay close to the fleet." Contacting Scoar, he told him, "Son, we need you in one of the available mechs. Take command of whatever pilots you can and fend off the enemy mechs. At this rate, we may have to retreat and find a way around the garrison. Let us hope it does not come to that."

Admiral Lionel stood on the bridge as she surveyed the scene it appeared the Titan was going to make no move to surrender. She opened a comm to Captain Mckenzie. "Captain you are cleared for an attack, I'm ordering the taskforce to attack as well and it appears Brownwing team is engaging Lion team near by."

"Stalker Force is clear to attack" Sandra ordered and from the depths of the ocean the small taskforce turned off silent protocols and moved to battlestations as the cruisers and other ships fired an array of torpedoes and underwater weaponry at the Metargo fleet and the retreating Titan.

"By your orders Admiral" replied Leopold to Sandra. The Dominator flew mere feet above the ocean and then shifted its form to the amphibious mode and sank beneath the waves.
Had the Special Naval Service been here Leopold would have been confident of their chances however with only regular amphibious naval crews and some KLS Cu 2's and 3's; the Dominator's obsolete predecessors, Leopold was worried.

The secret code arrived and thus began a hailstorm of fire.

Leopold launched two of his Torpedo's along with the rest of the force; The Titan was dealt a serious blow however she was by no means lost to her fleet.
A gunfight developed between the small fleet and the Titan, no matter the fire they pounded into her the Titan held up and began to slip away, Leopold could not allow that to happen.

He pushed the throttle to full power and utilized the secondary engines in his Mech's arms to build up a substantial power of propulsion. Leopold caught up with the Titan and approached her, once he had made range Leopold fire his two remaining Torpedo's hoping to score a direct strike on the ship's engines however both Torpedo's where intercepted by defensive turret fire and blew up before reaching their mark.

Leopold activated the comm and bitterly repeated to the Admiral what had occurred; they, he had failed to score a decisive strike at the Titan.

"Awaiting further orders Ma'am" said Leopold as calmly as he could though he could not disguise his barley restrained fury.

"I want you to pursue the vessel at a range captain and support brownwing team the ship is reading a lot of damage but I want this thing out of commission Captain you saw what she could do." Sandra said over the comm.

"Understood, I shall forward the order to all available Mech's here to begin the pursuit" Said Leopold as he patched in the rest of the assault force and issued the new directive.

The Titan gathered speed and departed the ocean before the Mech's could launch a strafing run. Leopold had his Mech enter the flight mod again and the rest of the Mech's followed suite, despite their inadequate armament the group began attacking the titan but caused little damage.

A few strikes at the Titan's wings may have helped bring the monster down faster then she would have under the circumstances but, they could not pin in a decisive strike.

When the Titan curled up in the sands of the land below it seemed like the opportune time to finish her off and Leopold made arrangements to that effect with the rest of the assault group. Just as they split up for the attack run a tremendous blast sent shock waves swirling into the air, many Mech's lost control and crashed landed while others where hit by comet like "fire balls" which brought those unfortunate down within seconds.

Leopold was fortunate enough to have had the distance from the explosion to switch into his redeployment mod and land safely on the ground however this was at the time the least of his worries. Leopold's Hastily assembled attack force was almost entirely populated by obsolete amphibious Mech's not designed to participate in a full blown Mech battle such as this but like it or not Leopold and the reminder of his force where now in the heart of the battle.

Leopold charged up his cannons and prepared to give covering fire to his pilots...
--------
The bridge of the Benjlakki capital ship turned an eerie red and a tactical officer began to shout something. "Admiral Nuclear weaponry detected! Looks like it might have been a mech fired weapon still waiting on reports of damages and yield." The officer said.

Sandra's face seemed to loose a bit of color upon hearing this. War and missiles were one thing but who in the world would authorize a nuclear weapon. "Fleet wide, Code orange protocols put me on fleet wide comm and have this copied and delivered to the ground forces as well."

"Attention 101st Fleet, This is Admiral Lionel issuing a code orange, I repeat a nuclear weapon has been used and all forces are at apply safety protocols until further notice this is not a drill." Sandra then closed the comm in front of her the bridges blast shields shut and were replaced by camera mounted images.

"Get me a secure line to president Anderson" Sandra said to a tactical officer who nodded when she was patched through.

"Mr. President I have reports of a nuclear weapon being fired and we are operating under protocols. I'm still waiting on preliminary reports of the attack it could be small scale but I don't think we should take any chances here sir. Our defense is holding but if this is a precursor to an enemy nuclear bombardment our defenses will not hold." Sandra said in her recorded message to the admiral.

Sandra knew Brown Wing was near that blast so she opened a comm to Zechariah "Private Malachi, this is Admiral Lionel is your team doing alright? Your guys were close to the blast how are you hanging in there? I'm working on getting support for your team."

Sandra began to order movements of more troops and sent in a fighter squadron to support brown wing team.

"Major Johnson this is Admiral Lionel, I've taken over the bridge in Captain Mckenzie's stead, I know we took some damage but are we going to be alright for anti-radiation procedures? Also on a secondary note our communications with the ground are cut has our communications array taken any damage or is this a jamming effect?"

"Captain Mckenzie, I need you to report back to the ship and take command. It's getting messy up here." She said with a sigh this was already a stressful day and it only looked like it was going to get worse.

"Mam the enemy ship has beached!" Sandra heard from an officer.

Cain started descending from the air into a desolated part of the area to give his mech time to recharge another shot. His goal was to give Metargo back the winning place in the field but it failed thanks to his brothers counter. Seriously. Out of all sides to be fighting on, why would he betray Metargo and fight with Benjlakk? It really made no sense to Cain. Still, it didn't matter anymore. If his brother posed a threat to Metargo, Cain would have to handle him. He soon realized his systems were being hacked and power was slowly deteriorating from the Near Shadow.

''Apologizes sir but I am going to hack you. If you experience malfunctions it might be down to the fact that I am currently at this moment clearing your nano byte viruses and using the connection to power up Axl's mech up further. I am also learning about your large entity ship, called Titan.'' A person called over his speakers.

Oh no you don't.

Cain realized that if he activated the anti-hacking system it would take a majority of his power if not all of it. Still, he was ready to deal with that chance. He pressed a button that projected a keyboard with more than a hundred keys. Typing at a highly fast pace he directed the nano-bytes into a server that blocked the intel and instead pushed their powers to the Titan. It wasn't long until the Titan became invisible.

Going over to his intercom he messeged both King Saul and Queen Lunaria. "I've spent all my mechs power to insure the Titan become invisible. I hate to overstep my bounds but I think it is safe to say that we have to do a tactical retreat for the time being to regroup and change out mechs. Casualty possibility is high otherwise. Also, I am stranded for the time being. I don't mind staying behind as decoy but if you were to send me recovery, my coordinates are 5 Alpha 2.3.45.32.4.433."
................................................................................................................................................
Axl looked steadily as the Titan seemed to disappear from sight. His frown appeared once again on his face. "Damn Metargo. I didn't even know the Near Shadow system was capable of shielding other devices. Vika, send word to Brown wing, telling them to be careful. It looks like Metargo might retreat but if they fired now, we wouldn't be able to hit a blind target."
................................................................................................................................................
In all the commotion, Scoar found himself following Captain Raiyn Ire. She along with him and a man named Laurance Howe went to the only available mechs area. Before they launched Scoar asked Bibi to have all the heavy artillery taken from the mech. He wanted to be as fast as possible. "I know what the Captain said, but I need only a rifle and a beam saber. Come on. Let's do this quickly."
From the treble that happened earlier he knew that Cain was probably close or out of power. For the next 10 to 20 minutes he wouldn't be able to fly.
He waited for the Captain to leave first and then followed, giving her cover fire with his mechs standard rifle. He wasn't amused with the mechs speed at all. After being in the Near Shadow, flying in lower grade mechs felt like he was sitting still. However, the loss of some of the heavy art. was a good boost. He was able to maneuver at an acceptable rate. Once the ground he gave cover fire until they reached the Lion team. Once there he said, "Okay, this is where we separate. I'm going to catch up to Cain and make sure he's safe. Contact my father for further orders."

He then zoomed backwards to where Cain had landed, keeping close to the ground so that he wouldn't be an easy target.
................................................................................................................................................
Cain sat inside of his mech waiting for the recover time to finish. '1 hour' is what was displayed on his screen. He didn't know if that was exactly accurate because the time hadn't changed in the last 15 minutes. Giving a sigh his eyes traveled to the scouter. It was picking up 2 duplicate Benjlakki mechs. He groaned a little and opened the cockpit. He jumped down and hid behind the the Near Shadows under. If there really were two Benjlakki's coming, he was going to be ready.

"Your going to need to launch in the next 30 seconds sir"
Jin-giro with a quick nod of the head to the flight operator who had just prepped his mech for departure quickly climbed into his pilot cabin flipping several switches initiating cabin pressurization along with the flight prep sequence.

"This is the real deal Jin, not a simulation." He thought to himself with the commanding officer's voice playing over his cockpits PA system as he rose to flight deck

"Your objective is to fly in and assist the Titan along with the remaining soldiers who accompany it in their retreat. You will be using the Lighting Striker mod for this mission, and remember pilot failure is not an option"

"Never is..." were the last words Jin-giro spoke before throwing the thruster controls forward and activating the overdrive function which violently threw his body back into his seat but launched his mech from 0 to mach 1 speeds in a matter of seconds.
60 seconds later Lighting Striker Champ's external boosters were completely drained and fell off into the crystal blue water that he now found himself hovering over. A few 100 meters before him lay the fruits of the battle that was still in full swing.

After taking in the horrific sight of death and destruction before his eyes Jin opened a private channel to the Titan warship "Titan, come in this is GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger, I am approximately 370 meters east of your position, I request that all units move toward this direction for evac. I will be covering your escape with two type 70-31 Electromagnetic Cannons" during his transmission he had already begun charging up his cannons to temporarily neutralize the enemy infantry beach units which seemed to be converging on the beached Titan war ship.

With a loud whirring sound the cannons reached full charge and Jin released two massive EMP blasts targeted toward the inbound enemy units, completely short circuiting most of the lesser units and causing total system reboot in the other units.
"That should give them enough time to take off " he thought after evaluating his handy work

"Who else wants some" No sooner before Jin finished his rhetorical question did a a squadron of Benjlakki fighters begin closing in on his position and with a quick targeting adjustment and another whirring blast of EMP energy the powerless aircraft were sent nosediving into the ocean below.

A small flashing icon appeared across Jin's HUD display "Warning! two shots remaining before mandatory cool down sequence"
"Good to know " He thought to himself as he began charging for his next shot.

((This post was coordinated between Damioa and I. I'll get to other characters once someone else posts.))

Chemda and Adira made progress on a breakthrough for a full-out attack on the Sonic Cannon when they saw a huge flash of light coming from the beach. The two of them fought their way towards the beach, only to notice the cockpit was empty.

Cain kept himself hidden under the Near Shadow waiting to see what these intruders next motives would be. He used his enhance hearing to pick up on thier conversation.

Chemda spoke up. "Well, sis, looks like he won't be coming back to that mech."

"Don't be so sure," Adira retorted. "It could be a trap."

"I say we spring it."

Adira sighed. "Let's go on foot. First, we should take these Eagles of ours underwater. They can handle it until we come back for them."

'Damn.' Cain cursed to himself. He didn't want them to set foot in the Near Shadow, but had to wait for the opportuned time to strike.

Their ocean blue Eagle were submersed into the water to avoid their notice, right before turning off all systems and taking built-in underwater exits (which were requested by them) to come out of their mechs before resurfacing themselves and set foot on the beach.

Adira motioned for Chemda to follow her. Soon enough, they got to the Near Shadow and began searching the cockpit for anything. Chemda gave a thumbs up while saying, "Nothing to indicate a trap."

With them out of their mechs, Cain thought it would be easy for him to move in and silence them. He took out his combat knife and jumped on the cockpit.

Adira nodded. "We can probably bring it back to the Seraphim for examination." Just then, they heard something. "Get behind me, Chemda, and pull out your pistol."

Whereas Adira brought out her handmade katanna, Chemda brought out and readied her handguns. Once whoever it was came out, Adira held him off with her melee, while Chemda got behind the opponent to try to shoot him in the back. They were both so agile and fast, making their moves look like a lethal dance.

Quickly analyzing their moves Cain held his knife in a reverse grip going for the one with the sword in zig zag movements to evade the bullets. Having a shot barely miss him, he jumped over the girl with the sword and landed on the ground. Open terrain would help him win this fight.

The woman with the sword was fast. Too fast for a human. She quickly found her way to Cain who barely blocked her slash with his knife. Hearing the click of the gun he quickly spun himself to use the sword-girl as a sheild. The girl with the sword backfliped leaving Cain open to be shot. He quickly adjusted his grip on the knife to throw it and threw it at the girl with the gun. With a shot fired the knife pushed right through the bullet, splitting it in two and sending each peace pass Cains face, and continued to the gun the girld had in hand braking it and causing her to loose her grip. Wincing at the pain he gave a smurk. The girl was a good shot. She would've got his head if he didn't throw his knive.

Quickly however the other girl recovered herself from her jump and lunged once again towards Cain, who, without a weapon, had to go on the hard defensive. He dodged left and right continuously and looked for the opportuned moment to strike. However, it seemed like the girls swordsmanship left very little openings that Cain couldn't counter on. He backed up until he reached a tree. Being pinned against it was not in his favor. As the girl thrust her sword towards his mid section it seemed she might have connected. Thinking quickly Cain backflipped and held onto the tree, arms and legs stretched and now upsidedown. The blade barely missed the top of his head and peirced the tree. Now was his chance. The girl stood their trying to pull out her sword and Cain jumped forward off the tree and kicked her away from it. Now that everyone was free handed, Cain thought he had the upper hand and spread out his arms in different directions, with one had edging them to come on.

Looking closely at them he saw that the two girls resembled one another. Maybe they were even twins. It didn't matter to him but he still thought it would be good to note the possibility for later events.

Both girls were standing next to each other and lunged at him side by side. No. They were quickly switching sides with each other, leaving Cain to wonder wich side each was going to come from. When they finally approached him one seemed to be slightly bentm, punching his abdomen, while the other kicked him in his face. He tried to move back but he hit the swords handle. It wasn't body peircing but he could feel the bruise on his back.

The girl that was knelled down spun and rose to punch him in his face, while the other one went low to kick him in his leg. This time he was able to react quickly, raising his leg to block the kick and gaurding his face with his arms. It seemed that these two females were use to fighting along side each other and even had a little routine. However, Cain had the sense that they weren't blood thirsty enough to take him on. He had it noted that they were both stronger, accurate, and faster than most humans, but without bloodlust he knew that they didn't stand a chance.

Pushing both of them in seperate direction he charged at the closer girl. It was the girl that had the gun. It seemed she was ready to counter him and he expected the other one was going to try to get him from behind. He quickly spun around and let his right leg fly. It was always a gamble trying to guess an attacker thats behind you motives, but it was obne Cain was well adjusted to if his kick missed he would just round it to the other girl. Like he expected the girl that had the sword was trying to come from behind him and his kick landed on his ribs. He held nothing back in that kick which would crack a few ribs on any normal person. He also decided not to stop their.

Using the force from the kick he turned in the oppisite direction and let his leg fly once again. this time almost attaching itself to the other girls face. She was lucky enough to have blocked it. Retracing his movements he once again got in his battle stance. This fight was actually exciting for him. He hadn't had a person or a group of people last long with him when he was fighting seriously. Reaching into his poket, he took out a tranquilizer needle and kept it hidden in hsi palm. With the other girl slowly getting up holding her side, he had enough time to attack the one that was still standing. Hunching over, he quickly dashed toward the girl stepping back right before tackling her, avoiding an incomming kick. The girl known as Chemda. From this little scuffle Cain could tell that her kicks were pretty good, but it seemed that her shooting was better than her melee. The other one, who's name he didn't get, seemed to have good melee but just got unlucky attacking him from behind. He counted himself lucky he left the better one alone for now. He put forth his own kick that hit the girls leg which she blocked. He recharged to hit her mid section which seemed to catch her off gaurd and his last kick went straight for her face. Connection with a full follow through Cain proceeded to tackle her to the ground, forcing the needle into her neck. She would be okay, just out for a couple hours due to the needles poison. The three way kick he used was goo for getting people open, but he still didn't expect it to work on her. As he rose up to his feet he sucked his teeth in disapproval.

---

"Chemda!" Adira shouted her sister's name in shock and fear. Did this man intend to use Chemda as part of some sort of experiment or laboratory specimen? The thought of it enraged her as just much as seeing her sister defeated.

---

Cain then turned his head to the other girl who didn't seem to happy about him knocking out her sister. Cain lundged toward her and tried to use the same move on her, but it seemed she was a little betting at blocking fast moves on time. No matter, Cain still had more moves up his sleeve. He threw a couple punches to the girl trying to keep him on the defensive, not expecting her to parry his arm away, leaving his chest open for a hit. She punched him in the stomach hard, pushing him back a few feet, then jumped on top of his head. She spun around to twirl him towards the ground. This was a big mistake for her to do this to Cain who had the upper body stregnth to counter. He held out his hands to catch himself from the ground and continued in a front flip like motion until he was back on his feet.

Adira could not believe it! Any other man she came across would have been out cold by that move! Could he be one of those genetically-altered people from the lab on an island not far from the current battlefield? She did not even have time to process what she just witnessed during the fight.

Still attached to him, Cain grabbed the girl by the arms and slammed her on the ground. Holding still for a second, Cain realized that the girl was out cold and her grip soon loosened.

Falling backwards he gave an out of breath sigh. "Heh. Heh. Maybe in a couple years and with better training, you girls might stand a better chance. I wasn't holding back but I still didn't want to break you girls." Laughing softly to himself he overheard an oncoming mech and stood up again at the ready to run. He was releived to see that it was Scoar who was coming to pick him up and take him back to the titan.

"Hold on." Cain said, grabbing the girl he stuck with the needle. "Let's take this girl in and question her."
"Alright." Scoar nodded.
With them at the ready, Scoar had his mech carry the Near Shadow and the two headed back to the titan.

Looking at Cain fly away with the help of another mech, Axl glared angrily at his monitor. He sat there for awhile unitil he was ready to shrug the whole thing off. Giving a sigh he listened to Vika's analysis of the whole thing that went down.

"I told you it was a waste of time to try to hack the Near Shadow. You could've gotten hurt or something. It's not a good idea to chase the enemy at this time. Let's just regroup with the Brown Wingers and see what their next move is. Maybe they might retreat too."

Axl piloted the Beta Shadow over to the Brown Wing teams position on the field. He changed his comm command to target one of the crews mechs.

"Zechariah ... Is this Zechariah s comm link. Whatever. Listen. What are we going to do now that Metargo has started to retreat? Are we gonna chase them or regroup?"

He laid back in his chair tapping his fingers on the side of the arm rest. "Haaaaaa." He let out an overdone sigh. "Vika I wish you had message programming. My back hurts." He said grumpily. "You do have your uses. Hacking into the Near Shadow caused it to go offline for a while, but still..." He looked to his side. "I wish I had a masseuse or something right now."

Once they were back on the Titan, Cain took the unconscious girl over his arms and brought her off the ship.

"What should I do with her?" He asked, looking at Scoar with question on his face.

"Hmm." Scoar shrugged. "Just take her to the infirmary for now. It's small enough so you can guard her there. I, on the other hand, am going to call my father with the report."
"Gotcha." Cain said heading back to the elevator.

Once he was out of sight, Scoar went to the nearest comm receiver and called his dad. "Dad, we lost the Titan's captain in that last collision. Other than that, everyone seems to be safe.... for the most part I guess. In other news, Cain captured a soldier from Benjlakks side. From what he tells me, she may have an alteration in her Genetic makeup. What should we do with her now? Cain injected her with the sleeping chemical but I'm not sure how long she'll be in that state for."
................................................................................................................................................

Cain walked into the infirmary room and saw that Barnett was up.

"Oh. Miss Barnett. I'm sorry if I woke you. I just have to put this girl in here." He said thinking that he'd woke her.

Cain gently put the Benjlakki woman's body on the empty bed in the room and sat down on a chair in between both beds.
"So." He said quietly. "Are you feeling better?"

Aaron heard Howe mention Captain Raiyn Ire having been killed in action, which infuriated him after a wave of shock hit him. He then proceeded to go slice some enemy mechs trying to breach the Titan in a rage. That same magnitude of rage released was part of the reason he was known all over Metargo as the Falcon of Fury; there were very few people who did not know of him and his reputation for applying deep ferocity when slaying opponents in melee combat. The artillery bombardment on the 96th Royal Fleet was over, by then, meaning all that was left to do was ensure the retreat be carried out.

---

Bibi was about to give out the orders for the switch on the newer mech, but the pilot beat her to it. Whoever was in there obviously did not know who was in charge of the mechanics on the Titan. "Who does that guy think he is? [I]I'm in charge of this ship's mechanics!" Despite her anger at someone doing her job, she figured she would just roll with it until the battle was over. Working quickly, she contributed to the switch and watched as the new pilot launched and took down two Benjlakki mechs while he was at it.

---

Saul became even more stressed out the more the battle went on. He knew fighting Benjlakk would not be easy, but this went beyond his expectations for a country with few men with much experience. He heard his son mention the loss of Captain Ire, as well as the capture of a woman whom allegedly had her genetic makeup altered. "I heard from Howe about losing the Captain. He was all over the fleet's channel. As for the woman, I would like a medic to go and check her genetic structure, to be sure. If it is true, and her genes were altered, one question rises in my mind, it would confirm my fears concerning what Benjlakki news said on an unorthodox laboratory on an island close to this battlefield during an attack there by mercenaries with an unknown employer. That would also raise the Why was a group of Benjlakki doing such experiments, knowing it was illegal in their country? Could whoever it was that conducted the alteration of the woman's genetic structure know something that we do not?"

---

Zechariah Was unable to respond to Sandra's query, at first, because he was preoccupied with an enemy mech's next move. Now that he was able, he said to the Admiral, "Sorry for the delay in responding, ma'am. The only casualties so far were Sergeant Harrison, Privates Jones and Robinson, and Corporals Johnson and Mercutio. Harrison's Eagle was shot down by a stray blast before we even engaged Lion Team. The other confirmed deaths I mentioned died during the dogfight with the enemy squadron. The Shapiro Twins' status is unclear. I can't pick up their Eagles' heat signatures. They may landed them underwater and went to investigate something, possibly that downed mech that used a nuclear weapon. I can't pinpoint where they are, right now."

He next heard a person, whom he assumed was Axl, mention the retreat and ask what to do. In his Eagle's current state, Zechariah could not withstand more damage. Other pilots in Brown Wing were in similar situations. It certainly proved how tough the Lion Team was. "All Brown Wings, regroup and head back to the Seraphim. We're in no state to continue the fight as we are, right now."

Benjamin heard that and groaned. On the open channel, he said to the opposing mech, "All right! I'm letting you off easy, this time! Don't be so sure about next time!"

---

Adira was still unconscious as Zechariah said for the others in the squadron to regroup. When she finally woke up, she noticed both the man and her sister were missing from the scene. Tears came down her eyes, her grief turning into renewed anger. She was not going back to the Seraphim without Chemda. Bringing out a spy probe, she activated it and had programmed to follow the Titan and record its movements. Then, she went underwater and swam back into her Eagle, waiting for the right moment to pursue. The mech's electronic systems were still off, meaning her heat signature would minimum, with neither Benjlakk nor Metargo able to see where she was.

Zane fought hard to protect the Sonic Cannon from further damage. The fleet was retreating and Zane could see that Minmei and Kyle had successfully rescued several allied mechs from harm’s way. Zane patched himself into the com device of the Sonic Cannon. “Sonic Cannon this is Admiral Preston of the Hyaku Shiki. You’re clear to cease Operation Azaka and head home. I’ll remain and cove your retreat. Oh, and operator please make sure Azaka doesn’t do anything rash and follow me out here in an attempt to help me alright.” Zane said with a wink to the Sonic Cannon Operator.

Zane received a transmission "Admiral Preston this is the pilot of the GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger Jin-Giro on special assignment to help coordinate and facilitate an immediate retreat, Im sure you've heard of Captain Ire's unfortunate death but it is my duty to inform you that you are now the commanding officer who must lead the soldiers back to friendly soil, I am currently on route to the titan for a weapons swap and I will forward you my coordinate when I touch down on board." Jin’s voice was stern and that of commanding officer even though the Admiral also out ranked him.

Zane cringed at the thought of Captain Ire's passing. It was unfortunate to loose such a good captain like this. After a small moment of hesitation he was ready to respond, “GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger Jin-“ he said as an enemy mech fired on the Hyaku Shiki with heavy cannon fire. “Shit… I guess a response will have t wait until my hasty new playmate is quelled.” Zane said as he returned cannon fire. He moved swiftly to the right and flew downward and ascended in front of the enemy mech and cut it in half with his beam sword. The enemy mech exploded with a bright flash. “An eye for an eye. That was for Captain Ire.” Zane said solemnly.

"All Metargo forces in the immediate area this is junior command tactician Jin-giro, pilot of the DGAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger I have orders for you all to convene on the Titan for immediate evac. I repeat do not pursue the enemy forces." His voice rang over the Metargo private channel.

Zane let out a sigh, “Gosh who’s the dumb blonde today?” He said to himself sarcastically. Zane opened his com link and responded. “Sorry about that delay Slaughter Dagger, I ran into a spot of trouble as I was about to respond. Follow through with the retreat. I want this executed in no more than ten minutes. And good call Jin.” Zane said with a smile.

Azaka Oikawa

Azaka watched from the sonic cannon monitors as the Hyaku Shiki took the cannon fire and then destroyed the attacking mech. He couldn’t help but to hold his breath in anticipation. He was hoping that there was something more he could do for Zane but he knew he’d only make things worse by trying to help. In the end Zane got himself out of trouble anyway. This fact was much to Azaka’s relief.

"All Metargo forces in the immediate area this is junior command tactician Jin-giro, pilot of the GAT-01A2R Slaughter Dagger I have orders for you all to convene on the Titan for immediate evac. I repeat do not pursue the enemy forces." His voice rang over the Metargo private channel.

Azaka heard the transmission and turned to the rest of the Sonic Cannon’s crew. “Great job everyone! We put on a stellar performance out there! The enemy didn’t know what hit them. Let head home.”

Karen Lunaria Metargo

Karen used her mech’s shielding to cover the retreating mechs so that they wouldn’t sustain any further enemy fire. She was glad that this battle was drawing to an end. It seemed that Metargo learned a valuable lesson in the results of pushing one’s weight around. “This is Queen Karen Lunaria Metargo aboard the Red Moon. My shields are covering the escape route. I shall return to the Titan in just a few moments. Minmei has confirmed that most allied units have returned.” With that the queen headed back to the Titan.

Barnett Belvedere

Barnett watched as the door had opened to the infirmary and in walked Cain with a sleeping woman. Barnett blushed a little as she saw Cain, she always thought Cain was attractive. However her blushing ceased when she saw the woman. “Who the heck is she?” Barnett thought to herself.

"Oh. Miss Barnett. I'm sorry if I woke you. I just have to put this girl in here." Cain said thinking that he'd woke her.

Cain gently put the Benjlakki woman's body on the empty bed in the room and sat down on a chair in between both beds.
"So." He said quietly. "Are you feeling better?"

Barnett smiled brightly. “Yes I am. At this point the doctor said that if I stick with the pain killers then I should be up and about in a day or so. What actually gotten me down is this lying in bed while the others are fighting out there. I just wish I could be doing something useful ya know.” Barnett brushed her bangs out of her face and looked up at Cain. “So Cain who is this woman you’ve brought here? I don’t recognize her at all, and I’m pretty good with faces.” Barnett asked while looking curiously.

Saul was relieved the battle was over. Of course, he knew that thousands of troops perished in the amphibious assault that ultimately ended in failure, something which placed him in a deeper internal depression. He hid such depression so well, only his wife, son, and daughter knew about it. To the rest of the Metargo Kingdom, he had a charismatic aura about him. Seeing Karen return back to the ship safely brought a soft smile to him as he walked up to her and hugged her. "Karen..."

---

Bibi saw the Champ model and realized right away it was the same pilot. She heard what she was going to be asked to do, so she simply walked up to the pilot during the conversation he was having after she told one of the mechanics to prepare a spot for the admiral. The mechanic in front of her next noticed that and then introduce her to him.

"Pilot of the Slaughter Dagger, here is the Head Mechanic, Ensign Durrans." Whispering, the man added, "Her full name is Bibiana Armine Durrans. She's the eldest daughter of and eventual successor to Duke Adelias Durrans of Lexcorvi. As you know, Dukes and Duchesses often act as advisors to the royal court. Anyway, whatever you do, don't refer to her by any titles referring to a noblewoman. She gets a bit touchy about her status. If not refer to her by her military rank, just call her 'Bibi', and you'll be fine." That same man next went over to Laurence Vincent Howe and whispered the same warning to him about Bibi.

Meanwhile, Bibi glared at Jin while saying, "So, you're the guy who's been doing my job when it comes to my mechanics division on this ship! I am familiar with that model, by the way! I kind of have to be! I'm the one who laid the schematics for the prototype and helped build it, too! Next time, just request the switch to the mode of your choice, and I'll take it from there, all right?"

After she got her answer and told him she already prepared a place for Zane Preston's mech, she next walked up to her fiancé and suddenly, her expression was a bit softer. She realized it was an arranged thing, so she could not exactly blame the boy. That is not to say she would suddenly warm up to him. That would take time. "Laurence, my office is this way." Her office was one typical for a military mechanic on a ship, which also acted as part of a living quarters for multiple people (of course, there were separate bunks in the adjacent room). "This is the two of us will be staying in between battles. I personally requested that from Captain Ire, before the now-over battle, that is. We're engaged, anyway, right? So, we might as well get used to that fact." She washed her hands before going up to the fridge, then brought out two vanilla protein shakes and shook them well before setting one on the table next to the desk. "You'll need the supplements, trust me. Being in the military really takes a lot out of you." Sitting down in one chair and waiting for him to sit in the other, she asked with an arched eyebrow, "Not so glamorous once you're actually in a fight for your life, is it?" Shrugging, she added, "Well, that's reality for ya."

---

While Aaron used colorful language to describe how he and Lion Team lost several good pilots to a bunch of rookies, Kyle walked beside Minmei with a clam, yet stressed-out demeanor. Placing a hand on his forehead with a disgruntled sigh, he said, "I could sure use a drink, about now. Still want to do that?"

---

Zechariah and Benjamin made it back to the Seraphim with the rest of the remaining Brown Wings that were accounted for. Still, there was no sign of Chemda nor Adira. What happened to them? When Zechariah spotted Captain McKenzie, a burning anger seethed in him. Walking up to him, Zech said in a clam, but stern voice, "Captain, that mech pilot was already out of the fight. If she did not intend what she said to me to be a bluff, I would have already been dead." Benjamin pulled Zechariah aside and shouted at him with, "Zech, this is a war! This is what we do, we destroy the enemy! Forget that, and you're a dead man!" Pushing Ben away, Zechariah asked him, "What makes you think I wanted to be a part of any war, to begin with? When was the last time you heard me express any interest in that?"

With that, he walked away to leave his older brother to his thoughts. Meanwhile, Ben noticed Catrina nearby and told her, "Don't worry about my brother. He's just stressed out, is all."

---

Back on the Titan, after letting go of Karen, Saul spotted Jin in the aftermath of Bibi talking to that pilot. The King went up to him and said, "Bibi is often like that. You get used to it, after a time." He then said to Karen with a soft smile, "Oh! I almost forgot that you had something to say to this young man. I better check on Scoar and tell Viki of the results of the battle."

First, he gave his message on the results to Viki, which went like this:

My daughter, while the whole family is safe, for the moment, the amphibious assault on the beaches of the Gatwashiim peninsula nearest our country ultimately failed. The amphibious troops were all but decimated by the enemy garrison, roughly totaling a number of 6555 foot soldiers, 210 pilots, and 15 ships. Elsewhere, such as the southern-most shorelines of Benjlakki territory, the weaker resistance resulted in advancement further inland, though not without reinforcements from different places within Benjlakk arriving to try to counter them. Progress in this war has been made, but for how long from now, I cannot say. These matters are never so simple. The fleet I am with still has 21 ships, despite the heavy losses. I suspect neither this fleet nor the enemy one we face will be capable of any fierce combat for a while, considering the damage most ships on both sides sustained. Repairs may take at least a week, if not more. After that, we shall plan an alternate route inland to continue the military campaign. I pray to Marlextov that this war end soon, lest internal problems within the kingdom become our downfall.

---

Adira took a risk and activated the electronic map for a brief moment. Once she saw that the battle was over, she realized that this was an opportune time to test her stealth while piloting a mech. She took a guess as to where the enemy would go and took an alternate route to get there. Metargo territory was not that far, and with the mountains in the nearest enemy territory on the other side of the sea, radars would have difficulty locating her if she flew in low. Next stop, Fort Ordimarga. I'm not going back to the Seraphim without my sister.

---

Speaking of whom, Chemda was slowly regaining consciousness, yet it was barely noticeable. She had yet to be able to move, though she could hear a couple people speaking in the Metargo language. Although the words were similar to those in the Benjlakki language, some she could not comprehend everything. What she could gather was the male voice apologized for possibly waking the female one's up, while the female said something about being down while everyone else was fighting. Were they talking about the aftermath of the battle?

---

Field Marhsal Constantini received word that the defensive was successful and also heard about Vance's success in taking out three Leo Vermilions by himself. Knowing that at least one squadron needed more pilots, he personally went on speakers to make an announcement:

Listen up, boys! We may have taken some significant losses during this defensive, but thanks to everyone involved, we managed to repel the enemy amphibious assault. I would personally like to congratulate Private 1st Class Vance in defeating three Leo Vermilions all by himself with a Praetorian. He is now two kills away from being a mech ace, and his skills as a pilot, I believe, the Benjlakki Republic Navy could use. Therefore, I am requesting a transport and escort be made ready for his trip to the Seraphim, where Rear Admiral Lionel of the 101st Fleet shall be informed of his achievement and requested transfer.

Scoar listened closely to his fathers orders when it came to the girl. "I believe that if there was such a project, it might have been held under wraps. Maybe the girls situation is the same as Cains and no one but her is aware of it. Maybe she herself doesn't even know that she's altered. Any way you think of it, in the long run we'll have to wait for the medical calculation and for her to wake up. I'll worry about the what if's and the questions. I'm sure you have your hands full on your end. I'll give you another call if I find out anything worth hearing." Hanging up he went towards the elevator to talk to one of the docs in the infirmary area.
................................................................................................................................................

"All Brown Wings, regroup and head back to the Seraphim. We're in no state to continue the fight as we are, right now." Zechariah ordered.

Axl gave a sigh of boredom. "Well, I guess it's true what they say about war. More than half of it is waiting and retreating. How boring. I'd rather just go into combat and die while killing a couple people. What do you think Vika?" He said glancing in her direction. Even though it hadn't been long, the time spent together had proven to him that she was more reserved than anything else. He'd love to see her lash out and kill someone. Thinking about it more as he followed the rest of the Brown Wing Team, he started to think that maybe his turn on's were getting a bit out of his control. He decided to blow it off as stress for not having his plans move fast enough.
................................................................................................................................................

Cain glanced over at the girl once Barnett mentioned her. He didn't seem to think much into her question but studied her face. He could tell something about the girl bothered her. He thought he'd be bothered too if one of his enemies was on the bed next to him.

"I don't know her name." He said plainly and smiled a bit. "Apparently she attacked me with another person who looked just like her, most likely her twin. They were pretty strong for...." He almost let it slip that he wasn't normal. Clearing his throat he then continued. "For Benjlakk soldiers. However, I disarmed both of them. I brought her here for Scoar to question. Don't worry though. If she wakes up, I'll make sure you're safe." He said looking at the door.

Scoar walked through just as Cain had stopped talking. Closing the door behind him he gave a tiresome sigh. "Oh." He said noticing Barnett. "Nice to see you're up. I hope you'll be able to join the battle tomorrow. We could really use you. Oh yeah, Cain, You're gonna have to stay here for about an hour. I'll try to keep you company for as long as possible but things are hectic out there. The Captain went down in battle."

"Oh. I see. That's too bad."
"Yeah. I suppose I'll go talk to my mom later but first I have to watch the nurse come in and draw blood from this girl. We suspect that something may be wrong with her. She may have the same 'cold' that you once had."

Cain's eyes narrowed a bit as he looked at the ceiling. "I see."

Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Prince Scoar. Can you tell me again how the girl became unconscious." The nurse said, poking her head into the room.
Scoar once again sighed and said, "I'll be back you two." as he left the room.

Barnett Belvedere

"I don't know her name." Cain said plainly and smiled a bit. "Apparently she attacked me with another person who looked just like her, most likely her twin. They were pretty strong for...." He hesitated for a moment. Barnett gave a curious look but decided not to ask about his hesitation. Clearing his throat Cain then continued. "For Benjlakk soldiers. However, I disarmed both of them. I brought her here for Scoar to question. Don't worry though. If she wakes up, I'll make sure you're safe." He said looking at the door.

Barnett smiled that was free of worry, and replied. “Thanks Cain, I’m in good hands with you here.”

Scoar walked through just as Cain had stopped talking. Closing the door behind him he gave a tiresome sigh. "Oh." He said noticing Barnett. "Nice to see you're up. I hope you'll be able to join the battle tomorrow. We could really use you.”

Barnett brushed a lock of blonde hair behind her ear and replied, “I should be off of bed rest by tomorrow but the doctor said that I’m only cleared for analyst duties until he gives the word. So it seems sailor multi might be idle for a short while. Thanks Prince Scoar.” Barnett thought it nice how the royal family of Metargo was so approachable.

Scoar continued, “Oh yeah, Cain, You're gonna have to stay here for about an hour. I'll try to keep you company for as long as possible but things are hectic out there. The Captain went down in battle."

"Oh. I see. That's too bad." Cain replied.

“I wonder who she is? If she does have a twin, I’m sure she’s really worried about her. I heard that twins can often be even closer than usual siblings.” Barnett said as she stared at the young woman. Barnett glanced over at the flowers that were gifted mysteriously to her earlier and thought they’d make for a more upbeat subject change. “So Cain, I’ve received these flowers earlier and I think they’re quite lovely. I mean gosh a girl has to literally be in a hospital bed to get a bouquet of flowers these days!” She joked with a giggle. “Minmei thinks they’re from a secret admirer. I told her, ‘yeah right, I thought the guys would stop admiring me when I took this load off my chest!” She joked again. After her laughter subsided she took a more thoughtful tone, “But seriously, it would be nice if they were from someone nice that showed interest in me. Someone nice in the middle of so much trouble.” She started at the flowers as if lost in thought.

Minmei Mindori

Kyle ordered a whiskey and waited with Minmei, whom discussed Benjlakk and possibly marrying politician. The thought of her settling down made him laugh and give her a playful punch. "You're not going to go back in your shell once he expresses interest in you, are you?" Calming down a bit and letting go of his mischievous grin, he added, "Seriously, though, you first need to work on not being so shy once it is clear a guy likes you." His face solemn, now, he spoke some more. "Of course, none of that will matter if Benjlakk wins this war."

Minmei rolled her eyes playfully, “I guess. Funny thing is that he doesn’t make me feel nervous, even when I’d imagine him being interested in me. I don’t know why that is.” Minmei replied.

His whisky now in his hand, he took a sip before saying, "Prime Minister Lopez was an idiot to have challenged the Benjlakki Republic at all, and I'm not saying this to be unpatriotic. There's a reason no other country in this day and age would have dared consider it: all that have attacked or threatened our new enemies in the millennia-long history of Benjlakk's existence lost their sovereignty, with the Benjlakki Armed Forces killing off both military and government. Granted, President Anderson promised to pull away from that dark reputation should war be upon them, which it is, but I doubt he can prevent history from repeating itself. He may end up giving in to the pressure, in the end, should we lose. If that were to be the case, neither you, me, nor that politician your mother introduced you to would live through being hunted down and shot. The civilians will be fine, it is the government and military personnel that would not survive under such a scenario. That is how serious this war is, right now. It's not like any war we fought before; our sovereignty is at stake, now. It matters not whether we grab even a mile of Fertaninn away from the Benjlakki Republic, at this point. If we lose and Howard Anderson fails to uphold his promise that he made upon election into Benjlakk's presidential office, Metargo will fall due to a lust for revenge on our enemy's part. Nothing else matters."

Turning his head sideways in sadness, he added with another sip, "It's just as the King himself said before we left to fight: we may have 'bitten off more than we can chew'. Regardless, we must continue what we started and hopefully hold out long enough that negotiations may begin. We have the offensive now, but once about a fifth of our population starts complaining about a lack of food from the imports we were receiving from Benjlakk, we will be vulnerable to retaliation. We're in a race against time, right now. We've got to beat the crisis before it beats us. It's the only way we can hope to keep our own nation independent, unless Anderson pulls it off and Benjlakk offers to negotiate a treaty, for the first time."

Minmei sighed, “It seems thing keep getting darker and darker. The Benjlakk sure seem merciless considering how you describe the possible outcome should we lose. So it sounds like either we leave them alone or conquer them, or they defeat us and subjugate us. Now they don’t seem as innocent as some like to paint them in that light. But I’ve heard and said enough about the enemy. Let’s talk about you. Any personal stake you’ve got in this war?”

Karen Lunaria

The queen smiled as she began to speak to Jin. He gave a slight bow and Introduced himself as Jin-Giro

“I am horrible with the military ranking system, please forgive me. May I call you Jin?” The queen asked politely.

"Why of course ma'am" Jin said slightly shocked at her politeness and sincerity.

She then continued, “My husband and I, as well as Admiral Preston have been monitoring your progress for some time now, and we thought to ask of your help in a greater capacity. You’re of a brilliant tactical mind it seems and I wanted to ask if you would receive the bestowing of the Tactician’s rank for the Metargo Fleets." a look of surprise took over Jin's face.

while Jin was still in disbelief Karen continued "Admiral Preston said he could use the assistance form someone such as yourself and you were the perfect choice for recommendation. I agreed and so does Saul. Will you accept my offer Sir Jin?” she asked with her dainty voice.

"I'd be honored" he announced with the look of shock still labeled on his face. "So will I be staying onboard the Titan and operating out the command room here? Jin asked hopefully

"Indeed, you shall. You should be allowed to move about freely as you see fit. You will need to be present at board meetings and even some parliament discussion that involve Metargo military movements. I am most glad that you’ve accepted the offer. This is an official document of promotion. My husband and I drafted it up in advance in the event that you’d take the position.” Karen handed Jin the beautifully decorated envelope with the royal seal stamped on it. “I an official will help you get settled and briefed. Thank you once again Sir Jin! I must be off now. We shall see each other soon.” Karen said with a smiled and a gentle nod and gracefully proceeded down the hallway.

(OOC: MrGr1nch you can write for the officials that help Jin get settled as you see fit.)

Axl stared grumpily outside the window of his quarters, moaning with anxiety as he thought about his brother. "Honestly. It would be easier if he joined me. No. That would be selfish of me. He deserves to die how he wants and if that's as a Metargo scumbag, then so shall it be." Along with that thought came the thought of distrust he was shown. It seemed everyone didn't trust him. Everyone besides Vika of course.
''Killing is easier than just being patient I see... I prefer to strike when least expected. But If I must run in then so be it. I am made to take more damage than others... Painful... But necessary.'' Vika said to him.
In response he let out a small grunt and blew his hanging bangs from his face. He flinched a bit as she touched him. "Hey. Watch where you're putting your...."
Realizing she was close past his comfort zone, his eyes started to form a glare before she said, ''Are you sick? You're core temperature is higher than usual..''

Axl blinked at her and felt his face. It did seem a little warmer than usual. "I see. Maybe I have a cold. I can't really tell. The genetic enhance I have prevents me from picking up traces for things like the common cold. It's a mechanism that stops my body from moving sluggishly if I'm sick or hurt. I guess I should thank you for telling me. Now I can take some medicine." He said while getting up. "Anyway. Put some clothes on. Women should be more conscious of their bodies."
................................................................................................................................................
Cain waved to Scoar as he proceeded to leave the room. It seemed he was really swamped when it came to the girl he decided to bring along with him. Thinking about it, he kind of felt bad for bringing her along. She would no doubt be experimented on like a lab rat if she did happened to be like him. Standing up he walked to the sink and got himself a cup of water.

“I wonder who she is? If she does have a twin, I’m sure she’s really worried about her. I heard that twins can often be even closer than usual siblings.” Barnett said.

Cain smiled while sipping on his glass. "Yeah. I suppose you're right. Twins do have a sort of way of feeling what the others going through. Almost like mind reading." He felt that at this moment, if he knew Axl, he was angry at the lack of confrontation. He sighed as he poured Barnett a glass too and went back to his seat, setting her glass on the stand beside her.

“So Cain, I’ve received these flowers earlier and I think they’re quite lovely. I mean gosh a girl has to literally be in a hospital bed to get a bouquet of flowers these days!” Barnett joked with a giggle.

Cain spit out the water that he had in his mouth choking a little bit on the remains inside his throat. "Hehe. Really. I'm sure you'd get flowers even if you weren't in the hospital." He said with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Someone nice in the middle of so much trouble.”

Cain didn't seem to notice, but it did seem her chest was a little smaller than before. However, he couldn't really tell why that would stop someone from giving her flowers. He remembered what Scoar said before about the situation but couldn't bring himself to confess that they were from him.

Wow. If Axl could see me like this he'd probably think I've grown weak.

He gave the girl a gentle smile and said, "Well I'm sure if someone really liked you then appearances wouldn't matter to them. Whoever sent you those flowers probably likes you for who you are, not what you look like."

Just then Scoar entered the room with the nurse and watched as she took a blood sample from the unconscious girl.
"Alright. Now let's go see what the results say." He eagerly suggested.
"You know this could take about an hour." The nurse said to him.
"No worries. Cain's here just so that if something goes wrong a ruckus wont be heard."

Scoar followed the lady out of the room before looking at the desk holding the flower set. "So how do you like the flowers Cain got for you. He actually left the Mech in order to pick them out."
Immediately, Cain's face heated up. "H-hey. You weren't suppose to tell her that."
"Oh. Sorry. I'll make it up to you later." Scoar said while giving a smooth smile. "Good luck. Hehehe."

Cain looked down, counting the fast beats of his heart.
Wow. Is this how friends treat each other?
He hoped that he wouldn't be shot down before he even made a move. Not that he knew how to make a move anyway. Sure it was true he was taught to talk to people in order to get them to trust him, but he didn't want to use any of those techniques on Barnett. In truth he wanted to be genuine and himself, but at the same time, he didn't even know how he should act. He really wanted to know what a genuine person would do in this situation.

Once Zecahriah calmed down and his mech steadied, he was able to register the poor girl's words. Her accent told him she was from Metargo, which put him on alert, somewhat. What if it was a trap? Then again, she seemed a bit ditzy. Plus, he had to admit, the girl was beautiful and adorable. She introduced herself as Viki Lunaria and mentioned she was a teleporter that was helping a medical shuttle. Could it have been one of the retreating Metargo vehicles, or possibly a transport from the Peninsula's own garrison on the Benjlakki side? He was utterly confused, at this point. If she accidentally teleported into the cockpit of his mech, it could mean anything.

During the whole conversation, Zechariah could feel Viki's chest against his, making it all the more awkward (there was not that much room in the cockpit, to begin with). He laughed a little nervously at the query of a food establishment. "Uh... ehehe... Not to be mean or anything, but the coastal towns in this part of the Gatwashiim Peninsula have kind of been evacuated before the battle, this morning."

Benjamin contacted Zechariah via comm link in a frustrated tone with, "Don't you realize who that is, little brother!? You're talking to Viki Lunaria Metargo, the very Princess of our enemies!"

Zechariah's eyes widened in shock. "Princess?" Taking off his pilot's helmet to reveal his dirty blonde hair and tanned faced with blue eyes, he turned his attention to Viki, "Y-your the Princess of Metargo?"

Benjamin then shouted, "Oh, come on! Do you ever keep up with the news!?

Zechariah faced the radio and answered plainly, "Nope. The news media is too depressing. It's hardly news, anyway; just a bunch of one-sided talk with little room for letting others think for themselves." Turning his attention back to Viki, he fell silent for a brief moment. Part of him wanted to question her, the other part flushed by her beauty and apparent innocence. He swiftly snapped out of it and told her, "To be brutally honest, my brother and I were searching for members of our squadron that went missing during the battle. But, seeing as there is no trace of them, we will have to list them as MIA. As for you, I hate to do this, but I am bringing you on board the Seraphim. A gentle smile entering his features, he added, "Don't worry, I promise I'll make sure they don't hurt you."

Benjamin, from within his own cockpit of his Eagle, faceplamed himself. I hope Zechariah knows what he is getting into. Word of this gets out, Congress will be in a hissy fit over the controversy of the whole thing.

Zechariah immediately contacted Rear Admiral Lionel via radio with, "Rear Admiral Lionel, this is Zechariah Malachi. A teleporter accidentally warped into the cockpit of this mech I am piloting, and I am bringing her aboard for humanitarian purposes. Her name is Viki Lunaria Metargo. I shall take full responsibility for her well-being while on board."

On board the Seraphim, Zechariah stood by Viki's side while heading towards the briefing room where he and the rest of Brown Wing Team were expected by the Rear Admiral. His gentle grin in the room was to reassure Viki everything would be all right. Turning his attention up front, he stood at attention with Benjamin and the others.

Back on the Titan, Chemda barely felt the needle. She did not know what was going on, exactly, but from what she gathered, some of it was romance while some had to do with someone. Some more listening, and she guessed they were referring to her. She woke up moments after a sample of her blood was taken and noticed a man and woman nearby. The man was the same one that ambushed Chemda and her sister! She immediately jolted from bed in fright and reached for her pistols, only to realize they were not on her person. This caused her to reacted even more frantically as she grabbed a scalpel and got into a combat knife stance she knew from military training.

All manner of fear could be traced from her movements and expressions as she demanded in Metargo, "Where's Adira!?" Glancing back and forth between the man and woman, she added with heavy breaths from all the shock, "My Metargo... is mediocre... but please... tell me where... my twin sister is..."

The moment after she said that, she felt a pain in her head, to which she winced, causing her to drop the scalpel. Oh, no.... please, no... Her eyes turned from brown to silver slowly while she struggled with her impulses painfully, gagging here and there. In a frenzied panic, holding her head, she shouted, "Run! Impulses coming! I can't hold them! Save yourselves!" She fell to her knees in agony before letting out a few shouts as the pain from resisting became worse.

Aaron was just walking past Scoar and the medical bay door, when he heard those screams and rushed in the room with his swords unsheathed. Once he caught sight of Chemda, he kicked her hard in the head and knocked her out. Once he was sure the girl was out cold, he turned his attention to Cain with an angry, "What happened over here, Specialist Numi, and where were you during the battle!? You were supposed to be in formation with the rest of Lion Team!"

Axl stared at Vika with a sly grin on her face as she bloodied the soldiers nose. He might not have been able to attack Benjlakk personel, but it was good to see that his partner could. "That's how you should act all the time." he commented.
Walking with Vika the two passed by where Zechariah was and he immediately back stepped to see if he was hallucinating or not. Sadly he wasn't. He gave a glare toward the man and the princess whom he didn't believe was on the ship. Looking in Vika's direction it seemed she had already picked up on their conversation and decided to give her two cents about the matter. He chuckled as he mentioned Zech's hormones heightening. He did so once more when the man responded by not being interested in sexual activities. That was either a lie, or he was homosexual. He could also be one of those celibate people. Axl shook away the thought and focused once again on the princess.

"Calm down Vika. You're contradicting yourself. He asked you what kind of scanner you were using. If you think about it, that's what a person would say to another person. Also, you just told them you weren't human, but your displaying mood swings and irational behavior like one. To sum it up, you're contradicting yourself when you tell someone you're not a person, but asked to be noticed like one. If I can come up with that conclusion, I'm sure you can too. Let's go. You need a time out." He said with a bored expression. It was violent and beautiful, but it stunk of emotion. Something he didn't like being around. Before leaving he turned to the princess and smile. It was an evil smile a predator gives to their prey before hunting them down. "Princess. I advise you go home. I don't know how long I can control myself. Since your family was good to us as children, I'll let it slide this time, but don't forget. Even if these people here treat you nicely, or even like a livable prisoner, as long as your near me your life is in danger. You are Metargo after all." He started to walk away and then stopped, chuckling to himself. "Oh and Zechariah. You might want to watch your hormones. Hahahaa." Giving his tease, he walked away from the seen, putting his hands in his pockets.

Maybe I'm weaker than I thought. I could've killed her easily and that would hurt Metargo's morale. Whatever. She's not what I'm after anyway.
................................................................................................................................................

Afraid of what Barnett would say about finding out that he was her secret admirer, Cain was relieved when the sleeping girl beside them woke up. Her words were scrambled and he was pretty sure she wasn't in fighting condition. Not only that but she wreaked of the smell of fear. He couldn't blame her though. "You should calm down. I'd hate to put you to sleep again." Cain said calmly, slowly standing up. "If you're smart, you'd get back in be...."

"What happened over here, Specialist Numi, and where were you during the battle!? You were supposed to be in formation with the rest of Lion Team!" Aaron stormed in.

Cain never really thought much of the guy. He was a person in Cains life who was shoved behind the people he actually cared about. To further explain, think of it like a game where you have your party and then the npc's. Although his timing couldn't be any better. Cain looked out him for a moment, waiting for the last piece in his plan.

Bingo

Scoar walked in looking tired and bored. "What the hell?" He said in surprise as the room seemed to be in chaos. "Wow. I miss something?"

"No. Me and the Sergeant were just about to talk about the Lion Teams next move. Can you take over this situation real quick. I should be back soon. Maybe not that soon. Maybe not at all." He said nudging Aaron, hoping he would get the hint. "You know how these planning things go."

Scoar noticed a rush in Cains normal slow mood, but ignored it and looked at what he would be left alone with. Knowing Cain, he avoided the topic after he left the room so Scoar might be asked about his feelings for Barnett. Not to mention he'd have to calm the Benjlakki woman down. He scratched his head and pouted. "You better be glad we're friends. I got this." He said realizing Cain had already started to drag the Sergeant away. With the two gone, he turned to the Benjlakki woman. "You seem a little woozy. It's probably from the effects of the drug Cain gave you. Do you want some water?"

Pulling on Aarons arm Cain finally let go when they were out of the room. "Damn. I'll never be able to win that type of battle." Recollecting his thoughts he adjusted his act to his usual cold one. "Sorry about that. As you can see, I was making sure that the titan wasn't attacked by enemy units while our forces were pushed out. I did show up though, in case you didn't see the explosion. I also kidnapped that woman in there that you saw. How's the rest of the members? Everyone alive?"

Aaron shook his head. "No. Some of us died." After a bit, he and Cain were summoned to the conference room.

--

Chemda seemed to not stay unconscious long from Aaron's kick, since she was able to hear Scoar ask if she wanted some water. It seemed the Prince understood her language. Slowly getting up off the floor, she nodded slowly, but then asked, "But, first, where's my sister? Is she okay? Her name is Adira." Turning her head, sideways, she told the Prince, "As for those... impulses... well, my twin and I kind of found out about those when some stalkers ambushed us after a high school gymnastics event we participated in. From the look those boys gave as they eyed us, well, you can guess what was coming up. We didn't let them, though, and that's where those impulses came in. Fighting skills we didn't think we had just suddenly came, and we nearly killed one of those guys because of those sudden impulses. I just can't explain it. We knew we were different in physical qualities from our peers, but to actually have a sort of killing instinct... it... it was a scary thing to think about after that incident. I don't know why it is there, but once it's triggered, usually when danger is near, it's hard to control it without major pain to the head... as this Cain guy witnessed. I'm just glad nobody was hurt by me, this time."

--

Zechariah now felt guilty for his outburst. That was the thing about Zech: he can be sweet and kind, but can also overreact. Still, Viola could have worded it differently. He made a mental note to apologize for his rude behavior, later. Benjamin, however, did not regret his choice of words. Both brothers glared at Axl as he spoke to both Viki and Zechariah. As Axl left with Viola, Zechariah continued to glare. "I swear, if Axl makes one move against Viki, I will personally shoot him to ashes!"

Ben whispered to Viki with, "This is the first time I've seen Zechariah express any form of malice. He must really be ticked by what Axl said to you."

Zechariah then realized they were still in Sandra's presence. "We better listen to what Rear Admiral Lionel has to say, so, we should stand at attention, again."

--

Kyle heard the call for all available Lion Team members to head tot he conference room. "We better continue this later. No point in bringing a whisky to that place." He quickly poured the contents of his glass into a nearby sink and sprinted to make it in time, the rest of Lion Team there to see the playback of the battle.

Sure, many of the remaining Lions were angry, but none showed it more than Aaron. After all, this was the first time he was ever bested in battle. He wanted to prove himself the best, he wanted to uphold his family legacy. To do that, he needed to get rid of the one obstacle in his way: Zechariah Malachi.

Once it was time for explanations, Aaron spoke up first, a deep fervor about him. "While it is true that arrogance and disorganization were part of the reason, one cannot deny Benjlakk planned in advance for repelling our attack! The King himself was not mistaken in telling us we'd be facing a foe unlike any other! As for Captain Ire's death, I know for a fact that in prime condition, she would never have fallen so easily! Have you all forgotten the Second Metargo-Mysticaran War!? Not even a Golem manned by an elf could defeat her so quickly! Could one, men?"

The members of Lion Team that were actually veterans of the Second Metargo-Mysticaran War shouted in unison, "No!"

From there, Aaron continued, his voice expressing more rage, "Damn right, 'No'!" Obviously, something happened which hindered her abilities while in her mech, and I guarantee it occurred during and after the confrontation between the Titan and the enemy flagship called the Seraphim! Furthermore, we have been plagued by inexperienced men in the Royal Navy, especially from among the so-called 'elite' that get it in their heads that because they are 'privileged', they can start out a couple ranks above the rest of us and not face the consequences! Had that not been the scenario, we would have had even more men of experience, thus Benjlakk would not have had it so easy! Bibi, our mechanic, is a shining example of someone from among the nobility who chose not to take such an erroneous route, but instead started from the bottom up in the ranks! And now, look at her: her skills and mechanical expertise have proven to be the lifeblood of our success in our war with Mysticara time and time again, which was before our conflict with Benjlakk we are facing!"

Lion Team gave the customary Metargo war chant of, "Struf ul Gluj! Struf ul Gluj!" ((It is an ancient Metargo phrase meaning, "Strength and Glory! Strength and Glory!"))

Aaron was now as fired up as he could be in his speech. "What's more, is that today, we, Lion Team, have faced rookies from Among Brown Wing Team, all of whom surpassed our expectations, especially one! When their sergeant died, as was shown to us, one[/I[ of the pilots within Brown Wing Team kept them together, resulting in the sonic missile barrage which forced us to confront them!" Playing back the face off Aaron had with the pilot he spoke of, he continued, "See for yourself, men, the maneuvers and technique of the man in question! There is only [I]one Benjlakki lineage's legacy that could ever hope to match that of Metargo's own Lextu lineage! Only a member of the legendary Malachi family could have pulled this off! Mech unit warfare may have only been around for seventy years out of the millennia-long history of the Malachis and Lextus, yet the reality stands! It has been confirmed when the man named Zechariah Malachi, whose emergence into the continuation of his family's legacy is shown here, in his first ever battle! Men! We are facing an enemy with the means to humiliate us, yet we must show them Metargo's resolve and prevent that from happening! To victory!"

Lion Team once again shouted in unison, "Struf ul gluj! Struf ul gluj!"

Azaka Oikawa and Zane Preston

As the two sat at the restaurant located in the Titan Ship, they conversed in a slightly flirty manner. They were enjoying spending time together without talks of war. Azaka always gained attention wherever he went, due to his celebrity status. People stared and tried not to get caught taking photographs of the two. Out of nowhere appeared a few of the Metargo operators who stood gossipy and starry eyed at Zane and Azaka. “It’s the Zanaka couple!!!” The three girls shouted as they ran over.

Before the group could reach the couple, Zane smirked at Azaka, “Well there goes our peaceful moment. Thanks superstar Azaka.” Zane said sarcastically.

“Oh hush. You’re just as popular with giggling girls and boys as I am. They probably want your autograph just as badly as they’d want mine.” Azaka said after rolling his eyes.

The three young ladies had reached the couple and began to talk a mile a minute. “Hi there Adimral Zane! OOPs! I meant Admiral Preston!! Oh…I’m such a ditz!! Sorry…” One of the girls said apologetically.

“It’s alright, you can call me Zane. But just this once okay. I wouldn’t want everyone around base forgetting that I’m their superior officer.” Zane replied with a flirty wink. Azaka simply snickered to himself. He knew Zane couldn’t help himself but to flirt with anyone.

The girls grew even more excited by Zane’s reply. The other people in the restaurant were becoming annoyed. “And Azaka your songs were awesome!! As usual! We almost forgot to work when Operation Azaka started! I felt like I was at your Banana Moon of Love holoconcert all over again!!” The Green haired squealed.

“BUT of Course we did our JOBS!! Right Popako??!!!” The red headed girl said forcefully as she hit the Green Haired girl in the arm for almost getting them in trouble.

Azaka smiled nervously. “Thanks a million girls. I’m glad you enjoyed the Sonic Cannon concert but It’s really supposed to Distract the enemy units not our own operators and pilots…” Azaka replied as he rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

Zane stared at Azaka rather plainly, “Perhaps we should discontinue Operation Azaka, seeing as that it could very well be more of a hindrance than a help.” Zane said joking in a serious tone. Azaka knew Zane very well and could tell when Zane was trying to get under someone’s skin.

“That’s not funny Zane…” Azaka said as he turned as way in a huff. Clearly he was upset.

“Lighten up songbird… I was only kidding with you.” Zane said in a smooth yet sincere tone.

The girls looked on and their faces blushed excitedly. “OOOHHH…. GIRLS I THINKE WE’RE WITNESSING A ZANAKA LOVE QUARRELL!! AHHH…” They bounced around. “You two make the cutest couple ya know!”

Both Zane and Azaka looked at them surprised. “Um, we do?” they both said innocently.

“Of course!! I’ve even seen guys that are jealous.” The green haired girl said.

“C-can we have your autographs? Pretty please Admiral Preston, Mr. Oikawa?” The more quiet blue haired girl asked shyly.

“Sure, what’re your names?” Azaka replied with a soft smile. He took the photo’s they had and signed them as they told the couple their names.

“I’m Popako.” The green haired girl spoke.

“I’m Matsuko.” The red haired girl said in a charged manner.

“And I’m Aiko. Thanks so much for your time. Sorry to have disturbed you two.” The polite blue haired girl said as she blushed.

After Zane signed the photos he replied, “It was our pleasure to spend these moments with you lovely ladies. Be sure to catch Azaka’s mini performance tonight at 7:00. You know to boost troop morale. He says he’s planned a lament for Captain Ire as well.”

“Yes please come.” Azaka added.

“OF COURSE WE’LL BE THERE!!” The three girls said in unison. Shortly afterwards the three girls scurried off.

Zane took another sip of wine and said casually, “If only more people learned to appreciate and get excited about the little things. They wouldn’t feel the need to subjugate other countries when there is plenty at their own fingertips.”

“The little but precious things, like love.” Azaka added. The two leaned in closely for a kiss however right before they could the blue haired operator returned.

“Umm… excuse me Admiral sir. I’m so sorry to have interrupted you two again. But I forgot to give you a message. The new tactician has ordered a meeting with the lion team to discuss today’s battle. Well then, I shall be going now sir.” With that the young lady tipped away.

“Well I guess love will have to wait no, won’t it. I guess I gotta go songbird.” Zane said as he stood from his seat. “Check please.” He called to the waiter.

“I may not be a soldier or a member of the Lion Team but I want to sit in on the meeting. I am a consultant to the military and I participated in the battles as the operator of the Sonic Cannon. Strategy is as important for me as it is for you all. Please Zane, let me come.” Azaka said as he stood to his feet as well.

“Alright Songbird, no need to present a court case to me. I’m always on your side. However I’m not so sure what the other guys will say. Their pride has already taken a beating today so they’re quite a touchy lot. Come on let’s go.” Zane replied with a reassuring smile.

As the meeting started and Aaron gave his remarks some of the Lion Team members momentarily shot glances at Azaka for being present in the meeting though he was not a member of the Lion Team nor the military. However he was a big participant in the recent battles thus it was grounds for him to sit in on them, though the pride of the soldiers ran thick and Azaka was sometimes unwelcomed by the prideful soldiers.

Zane stepped forward, “I take full responsibility for what happened today. I also take responsibility for Captain Irie’s death. That is on my head and the blood is on my hands. I was too comfortable in thinking that I could be more hands off in this battle. In my experience even a lackluster soldier can shine brightly under the proper guidance and leadership. I failed to step up to the plate and for that I am terribly sorry. I promise you all that THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.” Zane said in a serious tone.

Azaka grabbed Zane’s hand, “Zane you can’t take such blame upon yourself. It’s not fair.” Azaka said withconcern.

“Azaka, the day I start blaming my soldiers for my mistakes is the day I should quit lest I never look myself in the eyes again.” Zane replied in a deathly serious tone. He was bitterly upset by today’s events.

Viki Lunaria Metargo

Zechariah's eyes widened in shock. "Princess?" Taking off his pilot's helmet to reveal his dirty blonde hair and tanned faced with blue eyes, he turned his attention to Viki, "Y-your the Princess of Metargo?"

“Why yes I am. I guess I didn’t mention my last name. Oh right! Sir Hansel always tells me in case I teleport away in a situation like this that I should refrain from telling my last name. That way people who don’t recognize me will not hold me for ransom or something.” Viki replied in a chipper tone. She found his fussiness to be quite amusing.

Viki wasn’t too thrilled when Zechariah said he’d be taking her to his base. She was technically a prisoner to the enemy. However she wasn’t very worried. Viki knew that as soon as she ate enough food and gained enough strength, she could simply teleport home with ease. There was very little anyone could do to contain her. She quite surprise however to find that everyone was treating very nicely.

An android walked forth before others and stood in front of the princess, she stood tall at 6'2 foot, having to look down on the princess. ''Your vitals are nominal. Welcome to the Seraphim.'' She looked to Zecharich for a moment with a glare before looking back to the princess. ''Stay away from Zechariah. He is showing signs of wishing to mate with you.'' She next put her hand out. ''Greetings, I am Viola Jenova. I am the first bio mechanical android of Bennjakk. I specialize in computer interfaces, hacking, locating and hand to hand combat.'' She then actually smiled with warmth that didn't belong to a mere machine. ''But that is only the basics. I do not wish to bore you.''

Viki shook the android’s hand with a warm smile. “Why hello there! It’s a pleasure to meet such an interesting android.” Viki then glanced back at Zechariah. “He wants to mate with me??? Oh dear I’m not ready for such activities… We’ve only just met after all and I am not a woman of those morals.” Viki said as she placed her hand over her heart.

Zechariah heard Viola make that assumption about wanting to 'mate' with Viki and he shouted to Viola, "Idiot! I'm not interested in sex! Don't go making such assumptions without getting to know me, first! On top of that, she's got to be stressed out, as it is, without fretting over something like that!"

Benjamin joined in with, "That's right! My brother never was the kind of guy that was lustful! What kind of scanner are you using, anyway!?"

Viki said quietly, “Oh well that’s good to know. For a second there I almost thought I teleported into the craft of a predator… Glad to know you’re a good boy.” Viki said with an innocent smile.

Another young man entered the room and did a lot of glaring at Viki. He calmed Vika down.

Viki followed him out with her eyes. She stood pondering on his words. “Golly is he dark or what. However he does have a point there. I should be getting home. Sir Hansel must be really worried. I’d hate to cause trouble for everyone.”

Zechariah continued to glare. "I swear, if Axl makes one move against Viki, I will personally shoot him to ashes!"

Ben whispered to Viki with, "This is the first time I've seen Zechariah express any form of malice. He must really be ticked by what Axl said to you."

Viki looked puzzled, “Oh? Mr. Zechariah is so concerned about me? I barely met him. Wow he’s a sweet heart! Is he this caring about all girls?” Viki replied innocently. “Oh also I am still REALLY hungry… I’ve had an extremely long day. I had to address the Kingdom today… you don’t know how hard that is. Then I rescued a stranded medical shuttle and a very pretty noble woman named Amelia. She was very sweet. Then I got abducted… wow today was quite eventful indeed!” Viki gave an astonished smile.

Barnett Belvedere

Barnett was shocked that Cain was the sender of the flowers. She couldn’t help but smile very brightly. Cain’s shyness only made him further attractive to her. She had never seen him act in such a way. She wanted to tell him that it was alright but she couldn’t stop giggling to speak. She was most relieved that her mystery man was one that she very much liked.

Soon afterward the young woman awoke and she explained who she was. She was simply a teenager really. A girl that was a mystery to herself in a dangerous situation. Barnett began to feel sorry for the Benjlakki girl. “Poor dear. I hope they don’t treat her ruff. I don’t even care that she’s an enemy. I just want her to get home safe and sound.” She said softly.

Minmei listened to Kyle’s story. She realized that he was very different from some of the other soldiers she met. He had been through a lot in his life. He had to leave to attend the Lion Team conference. Minmei replied to Kyle, “I see you’ve gotta go. I’m not a member of the Lion Team so I guess I’m sparred the lashing you guys are probably gonna get. But I’m sure my superior will fuss at us operators as well. Good luck.” she took another sip from her Cosmo as Kyle left.

Aaron smirked in Jin's direction with, "I accept." After that, he lined up with the other Lions.

Kyle was not one of the Lion Team pilots that joined in on the antics of the others, but he listened carefully at what was said between Aaron and Jin. He would have said something, were it not for the admiral stating he would take full responsibility. Hearing that just made him feel worse. Finally, now that he had the opportunity, Kyle stepped up with an explanation.

"If I may, Tactical Commander, I believe there is a reason for how the Royal Navy is, as of right now: Our previous war was with the Mysticarans, whom did not have mechs. Instead, they manned Golems, the magical variant of a Mech in that riders of them are inside and use their knowledge of spells to have them fight in a similar manner to Mechs, yet not exactly the same. Most veterans in the Royal Navy and Royal Army never fought an opposing Mech, before, at least outside of training. The last war we had where mech-to-mech combat was seen was up against the Caninisian Empire for control over the Fortyyrk Archipelago, which is now divided between us and the Mysticaran Federation as of the Second Metargo-Mysticaran War. The War with Caninisia was when Saul first became King, and back then, our country was still struggling with the concept of mech unit warfare. Even now, the concept is something the Metargo Kingdom has yet to grasp completely due to relative inexperience fighting mech to mech. On top of that, the Mysticarans did not even use modern weapons against us, preferring swords, spears, archery, and other such weapons to go with their deadly spellcasting. With all this in mind, I can see why we would all be rusty and disorganized. Because the Benjlakki invented mechs, to begin with, they would most likely know more about them than we do. The point is, mech unit warfare is a relatively new concept which has yet to fully develop."

Adira already made it to Metargo territory and flew low in the mountains so not to be detected. She was determined to get her sister back no matter what. Now that she got to just beyond the outskirts of the fort she knew the 96th Royal would be by night, she hid her Eagle (in fighter jet mode) among the trees and got to working on infiltrating the port so she could get inside the Titan without a needless fight. All she had to do, now that she was in disguise, was wait. By the 96th Royal Fleet got to the territorial waters of Metargo, meaning the wait would not be that long.

Cains face dampened down as he heard even more of his comrades had died. He started to think that maybe he could've saved them, but took back those thoughts immediately. If he was one place, then he wouldn't be another and that only meant that someone else whom he saved today would have died in anothers stead. As both of them were called to debrief, Cain became lost in his thoughts until he saw someone he hadn't seen in a while. A man known as Jin-giro, a junior command tactician. Though Cain didn't know much about the man, he still felt that he was more worthy of his time than allot of people. His eyes had experience of pain in it. At first he felt he was just like him, but after "finding" files on his background he realized that even though they were alike in hardships, they weren't both forged the same way. Still, the man did earn Cains respect, mostly because he seems to be able to put his past behind him and live a normal live. This wasn't going to change his usual approach on meetings though. He decided to sit in the back close to enough people but far away from the majority, listening to only some of the words the two men were saying while also thinking of ways to better pilot the Near Shadow. Cain had a history of doing this. He usually put himself in situations that he wouldn't usually find himself in, and try to think of ways to get himself out of it. He stopped for a moment looking at Jin. He seemed really angry about the events that went on. Who could blame him though. People died. Still, Cain didn't think it was very helpful to disregard Aarons speech fully. Mostly because the first key to winning is teamwork and morale like speeches raises teamwork.

Cain listened as everyone else gave their side of the mission and waited for his turn to come. Of course he wasn't going to volunteer so he was instead called on. He didn't know what to say on his own thoughts so he scratched the back of his head trying to come up with something. "Well, I honestly don't have nothing to report on my end as far as thoughts on the battle. My main goal was to protect the Titan, which i did, sacrificing the life of my own unit to do it. Luckily I was recovered. I feel that the retreat doesn't mean loss or victory for anyone. After all, we're still in a war right. You can win and lose as many battles, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is first, how many people were lost in those battles, and second, who won the actual war. Allot of people seem to be in raised spirits because of today's events, but not me." Cains eyes were hollowed out and cold as he lost himself in his words. "No. I will learn from today and walk into the next battle with the same calm I'm displaying right now. For I believe if I let my emotions get to me, then I'm just drawing myself closer to death." Snapping out of it and looking to his right and left, he saw some of the soldiers staring at him. "That's just me however. I can't speak for anyone else." He said trying to save himself from peoples stares.
................................................................................................................................................

Axl stopped midway as he thought about Vika's sparring offer. "Nah. I'm already in top form. Sparring is for training, but the only thing I use these hands for is for hurting people. That and cooking. I love me some food. I'm sorry, but seeing as you're a female, I'm not going to spar against you. If I hurt you, I'll probably feel bad about it..... Probably." He said, trying to hide his worry. He turned his head to face her, his face was much more relaxed than his usual frown. "Listen. You don't need a mind wipe or any of that stuff. You're a living being and it's normal for us to get caught up in our emotions. Okay, how about this? I'll spar you, but only if you want to relieve stress. After all, humans get stressed out." He said, patting her on top of her head. Once he realized what he was doing he took his hand away and put them back in his pockets, again walking back to the room. For just a second their, it almost felt like he was talking to Cain again when they were kids. Even though the former was like he was, the latter had personality issues. Cain couldn't handle emotions at all, feeling as if they were in the way of him being perfect. Axl on the other hand, was striven by anger. It was an emotion that changed his life and is still changing it today.

"Oh an one more thing. I don't want to here you call anyone your owner ever again. Understood?"

Setting the glass of water on the counter, Scoar listened as the girl talked and explained her situation. He didn't know very well, but he was sure that whatever her and her sisters connection was, was also viable to their health. "Don't worry. As Metargo, we still have to perform test, but I'll return you to your sister somehow. Though I don't really know how, seeing as my powers of magic are no where close to my moms or sisters. Still, you'll be okay." He said in Benjlakk. Then switching to Metargo he said, "Don't worry Barnett. We wont hurt her. We aren't tyrants." He joked with a smile on his face. He leaned over to the girl, staring her in the face and placed his hand on her head. "Hmm." He hummed as he decided that he had a good idea. It wasn't until his lips were pressed against the girls forehead that he thought maybe it wasn't a good idea. "Sorry, but my mom used to kiss me on the forehead whenever I was feeling ill. Anyway, just drink some water. I'm sure you'll be fine."

Chemda listened to Scoar while she went back to the bed and sat down on it. Hearing him assure her that she would make it back to Adira, somehow, left her calm. She even smiled, but just a little. War was a funny thing; at one moment, a person may seem unthreatening, then another, they could take advantage of your lowered guard. Something about the man made her feel safe, though. The moment she was kissed on the forehead, caused her to blush and gasp softly in surprise. Upon hearing his apology, her soft smile returned, yet there was a bit more warmth to it. "It's okay, and thank you." After a sip of water, she became a little timid. "Y-You're Scoar, right? I-I've read newspapers with you in there." making short work of the water in anxiety, she calmed herself before saying, "I'm Chemda."

Back the location where the titan would soon be, in Metargo territory, Adira remained in disguise as a security officer and stuck to speaking Metargo, asking around about the Titan and the 96th Royal Fleet. She made sure to make it look like a casual conversation each time, so no suspicions would arise. She even heard in the local news about Princess Viki's address to Parliament. So, they kept a lid on the Sonic Cannon and the mech with the nuclear weapon? Typical. They always leave ot some vital details until quite some time after the fact. Viki seems sweet enough, though. Kind of reminds me of Chemda. She next overheard a feminine voice on the military radio of the naval base she infiltrated (that of Jin's assistant) requesting permission to use the nearby sparring island for a training session scheduled to take place at 0700 hours in the morning. This can't be good. If Chemda is on that ship, they may be planning on using her as a punching bag. I can't let that happen.

A small guard-bot, a Metabee model, was escorting the Queen. Ever since his AI was installed, he always possessed an attitude. It was comedic, in a way, partly because he was the size of a kid. The funniest part was, despite being a robot that ran on electricity, he absolutely loved melons!

Image

Along the way back to the hangar with Karen, the Metabee, named Julius, spotted the Sailor Multi mech and could not help but adore 'her' (it was a feminine model, so you could not exactly blame him). His digital eyes turned into hearts as he shouted, "Oh, man! You see that Sailor Multi, Queen Karen? It's just torture that I can only look at her! She doesn't even say anything back! Sure, she's only a mech, but still! If only we were the same size and she and I could interact!" Realizing he was losing his focus, Julius snapped out of it and apologized with, Eh... Sorry, your majesty... I got carried away. Anyway, where are we going, exactly?"

Just then, Saul showed up with a sad expression on his face, saying, "Thank you, Julius." Looking over in Karen's direction, he told her, "Fleets along the coasts of Southeastern Fertaninn have met some success, thanks to the diversion this fleet set by drawing many of the enemy forces away from their typical posts. We should be able to exploit one of the openings made after we have completed the repairs expected to take a week."

Axl through a disturbed glance at Viola. "I hope you're tamed." He said turning his look into a grin. "Wouldn't want you biting anyone like a lion." He looked down towards her hands. "Or scratch them."
Standing up he walked over to the window of the room and looked outside, as if wanting to go outside and walked to the in room refrigerator. It was small, just having enough space to carry water bottles. Taking a drink from it, he sighed. "So when do you think we'll be able to go back out there and combat Metargo?"
................................................................................................................................................

Scoar smiled at the girl who introduced herself as Chemda. "Hmm. Chemda is a nice name. You should be proud of it." He said. "It's true. I am Scoar. I'm surprised you heard of me through a newspaper. I wonder, what did those papers say about me?" He mused, turning his eyes to Barnett. He grinned menacingly, saying, "So... What did you and Cain talk about when I dropped the bomb? Was he nervous? You know I've known him for years. He was always the nervous type. If I remember correctly. Or maybe that was.... No. Never mind." Scoar said reminded of Cains brother. "I must have not been thinking straight."
................................................................................................................................................
Once the meeting was over, Cain wasted no time leaving the men around him. He not only didn't appreciate their harsh looks but he didn't want to be in their presence longer then he had to. He also had forgotten to tell Scoar about Axl. Maybe not forgotten, but decided to think about it. Seeing as things weren't going well for Metargo, or at least by the meetings standpoint, he really needed to release that information. Opening the room door he waved Scoar to talk to him outside.

"What's up? How was the meeting?" He asked, seemingly in a good mood.
Cain looked around for peeping ears. "He's alive." He whispered quietly.
"Who is?"
"Axl. . . My brother."

Scoar gasped and grabbed Cain taking him around the corner. "Are you sure? How can you be sure?"
"He was the one who interrupted my attack. He's back for revenge."
Scoar looked down thinking for a brief moment. "Damn..... Okay. You watch the girl. I'll get in contact with my father." He said leaving Cain.
Cain walked back to the room opening the door and sitting back down, sighing tiredly.
................................................................................................................................................
Scoar went to a quiet place in the ships basement and called his father via communicator. "Dad. It's me again. Listen. I didn't get to tell you this before, but it seems Axl is still alive. That's not all but he is on the side of Benjlakk. I think... I think it's time I get my own suit. The one they were making for me. I don't even know what this means for the war."
