Name: Chemda and Adira Shapiro
Gender: both are female
Age: 17 each (they are twins)
Height: 5'7"
Appearance: They actually have the same tanned skin tone and brown color to both their eyes and hair. Both even share the same build: slender, yet athletic. From there, however, the similarities in appearance end.
Chemda sports long enough hair that it would fall down a third of her back. The Benjlakki Republic Navy has insisted that it be cut to a more manageable size for safety reasons, but she has not complied, so far. Therefore, the most they can get her to do is pull it back into a ponytail when in action. Add that to her civilian clothing of beige shirts and skirts of the same color that reach down to her knees, and you have a simple-yet-elegant young lady with a charm of her own. She is not typically seen outside her blue uniforms unless docked somewhere for supplies and such.
Adira's hair is short to where it is above her shoulders, as she understands the need for practicality. When not in uniform, she sports all-black clothing, typically a sleeveless shirt and pants. Do not let her more innocent-looking face (which still looks like a young adult's, by the way) fool you: as stated in the personality section, Adira is one serious lady.
Role: Navy Pilots, Brown wing Team
Rank (currently): They are both the rank of Private.
Fighting Style (applies to military personnel): Chemda and Adira are both graceful in movement, both inside and outside a mech. They were previously gymnasts, so that is why they know how to maneuver so well. since being drafted, they put the same care into their mechs (their father is a mechanic). The Shapiro twins are almost always seen overcoming the obstacles of war's battles together. Seeing them separate is a rare occurrence. Chemda handles the ranged portion, Adira executes the melee.
Strengths: A deadly force to be reckoned with as a pair working together. They balance each other quite swimmingly in terms of ranged and melee.
Weaknesses: The twins work best as a team. Separate them from each other, and their chances of survival are incredibly lower, as neither one is as efficient flying solo.
Personality: Chemda is the more cheerful and energetic of the twins, not to mention more sociable. She is one of those girls whom is relatively easy to get along with. On the other hand, Adira is a bit more... serious... in demeanor. By serious, I mean so much so that it borderlines no-nonsense, part of the time. There are times when something meant as a joke will be taken seriously. It can also be said that Adira is the more level-headed, since Chemda does tend to overreact in different ways.
History: Chemda and Adira are, oddly enough, unsure of their own place of birth. They only have partial memories of their childhoods, which involve a mother and father who seemed to have been more protective than you would typically see in parents. Although, they do remember a lab of sorts that they and their parents came out of and instantly came to the surface and saw wildlife and plants as far as the eye could see. The lab, as far as they could tell from their few memories of their childhood pasts before living more "normal" lives, appeared completely deserted. From the moment the forest is seen in all its beauty from where they were, everything is completely hazy.
The memories only resume from when Chemda and Adira are a couple years older, on their first day of kindergarten in the region of Southeastern Fertaninn. From the start, they were different from their peers physically. They were faster, stronger, and more nimble. While the specified physical attributes were only slightly to moderately higher than the average child their age at the time it was found out, it was enough to cause fear in both kid and parent during the initial days of school. Eventually, Chemda managed to calm down those fears with her sweet and sociable persona.
Adira, on the other hand, kept to herself due to her own fears. Something within her memories, which her sister lacked, has caused her to wonder if she is definitely human, a question she asked herself to this day. In spite of this longtime question she asked herself, she dared not tell her twin what all she was remembering, lest she worry her to the brim. Adira decided to have the two of them live as "normal" a life as possible. To distract the two twins, Adira decided early on to sign the both of them up for gymnastics wherever possible, where at least they would be doing something with their above-average abilities.
Their beauty and skill as gymnasts earned them the adoration of many a male fan that came to watch them. Unfortunately, this came with attention from not just the more innocent sort of fans that had high school crushes on them, but also that of stalkers whom did not have the best of intentions. Eventually, this culminated in an event where the twins' true fighting capabilities on foot were revealed. So long as they remained close to one another in the encounter, they were able to fend off would-be rapists. It was instinct, horrible instinct that nearly killed someone without either girl intending it. Thankfully, no lethal blows were dealt and the attackers got away, leaving the young ladies with their dignity intact. At first, Chemda and Adira were relieved it was over, yet the one dilemma resulted in another: law enforcement and reserve military personnel witnessed firsthand the twins' deadliness in combat. The report coming from that was the deciding factor in them winding up drafted to fend off the Metargo invasion, not even realizing their genes were altered for this purpose.
Nationality (Benjlakki or Metargo): Benjlakki (
Chemda: "Well, we've been living here as long as we can remember, right?" Adira: "It is the most logical assumption of what our heritage is.")
