"I haven't had a nickname for years now..."

"Even if you couldn't tell... you should of just kept it to yourself..."

"I have my preferences... seeing as I am to be married to a man soon."

"I am not a monster..."

⌈Face Claim⌋
Kikyo | InuYasha

⌈Height & Weight⌋
5'2"/158cm & 108lbs/48kg
"Does this concern you?"

⌈Hair color/Length/Quality⌋
Chiyoko's hair is a naturally jet black colour. It is thick and shiny, reaching down to her hips. She mostly keeps it tied back so it doesn't get in her way. Her bangs are short and cut out to lay across her forehead.
"Can you not see for yourself?"

⌈Eye color⌋
A dark, dull chocolate brown colour. It seems to just be completely brown, no hints of other colours in there. They are considered looking dull coloured and calm to others.
"Well, it is not my best feature..."

⌈Distinguishable Facial Features⌋
There are no freckles or moles of any sort on her face and neck due to her pale face usually hidden from the sun, but she does have a few freckles on her stomach and arms. A mole? Well, let's keep that one a secret...

She does not have any birthmarks, tattoos or piercings but of course she has scars. One particularly noticeable and large one on her back. It looks like large scratch mark from a big cats claws, but it is, in fact, from a demon. She doesn't remember who did it or how it happened, but she knows she almost bled to death from it. She has other small scars here and there, as well...
"That is none of your business!"

⌈Physical Description⌋

A very pleasant sight, indeed. Gasps can be heard from her youthful beauty and she'll take you away in her soft eyes. Her shining eyes fit her heart-shaped face almost perfectly. Her eyes are a dull and plain brown colour, but they seem to instantly make you a little calmer. She has long, thick eyelashes that caress her cheeks whenever she closes her eyes. The natural black haired girl has thin, arched eyebrows resting above her eyes. Her lips are a pale red colour that seem to always be pursed. Chiyoko's nose is thin and smooth while her ears are as small and delicate to loud noises.

Her skin is smooth and well-cared for. It is a pale peach colour, but can easily become sun-burned since she spends most of her time outside. Her hands are small and thin, with a small palm and long, slender fingers. She keeps her nails at a reasonable length, only cutting them if they get too long for her liking and start bothering her. Her feet are the same way, small and delicate.

However, underneath her silk and fine clothing, she has a few nasty, ugly scars on the small of her back. She does not remember where she had gotten them, indicating that she probably got them when she was a child. She does know that it was from a demon. She is never seen wearing anything backless.

Moving on to her hair, it can be quite a mess sometimes. She usually keeps her hair in a loose ponytail so the black strands don't get in her face and bother her. Her hair is smooth and thick, all the more reason why it gets so tangled so easily. You may see dark brown strands glisten in the sunlight whenever she is outside, only making her naturally black hair looking brighter and dark brown.

Her body is molded to resemble that of an hourglass.... what most women hope for and want. She has a rather average bust and a narrow waist that comes out a little to form hips. She is considered curvy but slim in many ways... seeing as she is quite short is stature.

Do not get fooled by her feminine looks though. She possesses the strength of any man... Her arms have hardly noticeable muscles that she uses to straighten her bow and aim. Her legs are molded so she can kick high and hard.

Her clothing style usually consists of the normal priestess attire. Loose clothing which involves a long-sleeved white shirt and long red pants. She usually wears very colourful thin gowns. She can also sometimes have accessories in her hair, like flowers and plants.

Always tucks hair on her right behind her ear when she is lying || Chiyoko isn't one for touching her hair at all throughout the day, so if you know her pretty well, you'd be able to pick up on this. She tucks her hair behind her ear whenever she is telling a lie.
Looking up at the sky || She regularly looks up at the sky to check the position of the sun/moon and comments on it.
Double-jointed || She is double-jointed in her left wrist, meaning that she has to pay attention to how she is holding her bow and make sure she is holding it comfortable so her wrist doesn't pop out when she shoots.

"I guess everyone is an individual."

♥Animals (leaving her sometimes fall victim to demons who can shape-shift into animals).
♥Trying out different flavours of tea

"Is this going to be a problem?"

Archery || If you couldn't tell already, Chiyoko is extremely talented with the bow. She is one of the best out there. She almost never misses... almost...
Singing || She sometimes hums a tone here and there, but it is nothing compared to her singing voice
Hand-to-Hand fighting skills || True, she can lay a punch from time to time if she needs to...

".... I was raised as a child not to brag."

Practicing her archery skills || She sometimes sneaks away out into the dangerous forest to take a few hits to a tree.
Doing other peoples hair || Although she is not very good at doing her own, she likes to play around with some long hair and do a couple braids and things.
Sitting in a silent room and thinking || She does this from time to time and stares outside just to think. She could sometimes be spotted doing this for a long period of time.

"Didn't I say everyone's an individual?"

✖Any type or form of a demon
✖Having to use a sword or any other weapon aside from her bow

Demons winning the battle || It may be a fear every human has, but it is one of her greatest. She sometimes begins to shake and tremble just at the thought of it. As the leader, she cannot let this happen. Ever.
Being killed || What would the humans do without her then?
Being kidnapped or held hostage || Whether that's by the demons or whoever, she hates the thought of it.

"Do not use these against me now..."

Stubborn as can be || Whether she knows she is going too far and she must stop, she will always push herself and not listen to anyone or their opinions. She listens to herself and herself only when it comes to the demons and their ways.
Can sometimes have a mental breakdown when she thinks about the demons succeeding or if they come one step closer to it || She does not take these things lightly, and if the demons are even just one inch closer to winning this damned battle, she can sometimes push her thoughts too far and begin trembling and panicking.
Cannot use swords or blades || She grew up using a bow, and that is how it shall be.

"I don't understand why you need to know all of this..."

⌛She can kill a demon without a second thought. Some people may hesitate because it can "feel like you're killing a human, someone who has a family and life." but Chiyoko kills them instantly. She mostly tells people that she does think before she does so, but she doesn't
⌛She is only marrying the eldest son of the Higurashi clan out of protection since he is wealthy and brings along more men to fight. She tells everyone that she does love him, but she isn't so sure.
⌛She is somewhat afraid of thunderstorms. She does not like the loud noises and flashing lights it brings.

"These are secrets. Why must you know them?"

|| Reserved || Quiet || Stubborn || Confident ||
|| Loyal || Narrow-Minded || Opinionated || Determined ||

Stubborn and narrow-minded can easily be the two words to describe Chiyoko's cold personality and outer shell. She wont accept anyone's opinions if they are the complete opposite of her own. She likes everything to be organized how she likes it for a reason. All though she was never the "hero" type of person, she's still not afraid to speak up.

She hates being told what to do. Hates it. Unless you are one of her elders, you might as well keep your mouth shut when it comes to bossing Chiyoko around. She did not take the leader role for no reason. She wont tolerate it at all...even if you just want her to get something for you. She'll choose what she wants to do when she wants to do it. You boss her around, she'll likely ignore you or tell you to shut up. Make her angry enough, you might as well say goodbye to your soul.

Although, Chiyoko isn't one to get angry, unless you bother her enough. She is quiet and reserved and can keep her cool more then you think. She can be calm while somebody is basically screaming in her face. She usually just crosses her arms and let's people have a hissy-fit at her, then she speaks her own opinion, trying to sound much wiser in a calm and soothing voice. But you can only push someone so far...

She isn't one for "horsing around". Even if everyone is laid back and having fun, she'll be in the corner alone thinking about what she has yet to accomplish and/or get done. She doesn't take jokes at all even though she understands them. She's always scowling and keeping her arms crossed. Although, at times she will use a bit of sarcasm and jokes for her own laugh. She hardly ever smiles though. Everything is serious business to her.

Although, being raised in a proper and polite family, she can come off as quite polite for someone with the type of attitude she has. She usually doesn't talk at all unless she is spoken too, but that's just if it is her elders or someone who is in a higher rank then her, and stands up straight with a confident look on her face at all times. She makes sure not to back talk her elders and to always agree with them, even if she disagrees. She can be polite and kind to people she first meets, but then they will see what she's really like. She's cold...and doesn't like to speak at all. She will raise her voice and fight when she has to though.

The only time Chiyoko is seemed to be more playful is when she is in a fight. She can crack a joke at her opponent in a fight and try to get them angry and try to push their buttons. With close friends (which is very rare that she even has close friends), well, she just likes to tease and make them uncomfortable. She only laughs when not much stress is on her shoulders though, and that hardly ever happens.

Even though Chiyoko has a very inflexible and opinionated mind, she can sometimes get emotional when ever she thinks or sees bloody fights and hurt going on in her territory to her human allies. She hates the though of really anything getting killed. Men, women, children, animals. All of it. She can get emotional and even start crying when in a fight that she doesn't feel comfortable in, but she reminds herself to keep in check at all times. She even gets emotional when it comes to demons winning in her deadliest nightmares, but let's not talk about that. She sees this as a period where you cant go off sobbing your eyes out because nobody has time for that and nobody wants to deal with that. The world is a living hell for all she knows, and cant afford to think emotionally.

"Funny, I still do not know who you are."

⌈Romantic Interest & Relationship History⌋
Kinjou Higurashi
She is to be marrying him soon, anyways. Soon she'll be Mrs. Higurashi. But feelings wise... she isn't quite sure she loves him like a normal wife would love her husband. She keeps this a secret though, but most people know of this already. Otherwise, she has not had any other relationships with anyone else.

⌈Most Precious Person⌋
Akio Kimura
"Oh, how I miss him..."

Akio Kimura || 42 years of age when he died || Father || He was the only family I grew up with... then he was taken away from me...
Hitomi Kimura || 23 years of age when she died || Mother || She died when she gave birth to me. All I have is old paintings of her...

~ June 13th; Birth ~
"Master Kimura! Please come quick! She's losing a lot of blood..."

The dark-haired man, Master Kimura, stood up quickly just at the frantic sound of the maids voice. He had been sitting on a wood bench, listening to the pouring rain from outside the large temple. The rain blurred out the cries of the new baby that had just arrived in the other room, but he still heard it clear as a bell. He had stood up that time, ready to meet his new child, but the mid-wives had told him to stay put as his wife, Hitomi, was losing a lot of blood from the birth. Panic had crossed his face as he demanded to see his wife, but they wouldn't let him in.

"Master Kimura! Are you alright? We need you! She needs you..."

With that the man ran over into the next room with the maid following closely behind him. He opened the door to see his wife laying in a bed, holding a squirming little thing hiding in blankets. Hitomi looked up at him with the slightest smile, one that looked sad and happy at the same time. He rushed over to her side and came down to his knees as he looked at his new child resting in its mothers arms.

"It's a girl." Hitomi said quietly as tears started welling up in her soft eyes and coming down her red cheeks. The new father smiled in amazement. "She's going to grow up to look just like you then, my love." He said quietly. Before he knew it, his wife's arms were slowly going limp and her body was slowly shutting down.

"Chiyoko, okay? Her name shall be Chiyoko." She said with the saddest of smiles as she looked up at her husband. The man wrapped his arms around the child and looked up at his wife with worry and concern in his eyes.

"Hitomi? Where are you going!? No, please wait! Don't leave me~!"

~ Early Years ~

Later on, after the sudden death of her mother at birth, the child grew up with the name Chiyoko. Now at the age of seven, she had short black hair and soft brown eyes like her mother once had. She reminds her father of his wife everyday... and that gives him the strength to carry on with his daughter.

Her father was the leader of a largely known clan called the Kōaki Clan. This clan was made up of the strongest of human warriors that give up their lives to protect others. They protect them from the things lurking around in the forest. The tiny village had grown fives times larger since the death of Chiyoko's mother, giving the village more space and people and giving the demons less. In order to make the village bigger, workers would go out and cut down trees and such, damaging the demons homes and making new homes for the humans. The people of the village already knew the demons were mad...

Her father would go out and fight wars in the village as Chiyoko sat alone in the temple. Most children her age would of averted their eyes and choose not to watch the horrible things that were going on outside, but Chiyoko watched all of it. Staring out the window, praying that her father would make it home safely. Most of the times he would, but others he came home with severe injuries that needed to be helped and checked. She would sometimes even practice her archery skills at the temple, making her become better and better at the skill.

~ 10 Years Later; 17 Years Old ~

"Chiyoko, please stay here." Her father begged as he looked down at his daughter. Chiyoko had now grown up into a young woman. One with long, flowing black hair... but her soft brown eyes still remained. She was rumoured to be quite beautiful from the people who had yet to have seen her, but she was indeed, a fragile beauty. She looked up at her father in worry but nodded her head, agreeing to stay put at the temple as she always did while her father went out and fought. At the time, she really just wanted to pick up her bow and finally go fight along side her father, but she would never disobey his orders.

"Please come home to me, father." She said softly with pleading eyes.

"I always do, don't I?" He smiled back at her and then he was gone out the door.

And then she waited and waited, sitting down and staring out the window at yet another war against the demons that had invaded the village. Her mind was mostly blank during these times, usually not thinking about what was happening. She had always wished she could go and fight. She knew she was ready... and her father did as well. But he didn't want to lose his daughter as he had lost his wife. So there she stayed in the temple, and there she stayed for a long time.

Awhile had passed, and there Chiyoko still sat. She had suspected it was around noon time, but her father had yet to return.

"Excuse me, but what time might it be?" Chiyoko asked the lady who was pouring her another cup of warm tea.

"I guess it shall be about mid-noon, miss. Has your father returned yet?" She replied and Chiyoko's eyes only widened. Her father had always made it back by noon for lunch with his daughter, unless...

With that Chiyoko was up and rushing to the front door, soon outside. The lady had called after her but Chiyoko chose not to reply. She rushed over to where the dead bodies of men were usually laid out in the middle of the village. People usually went back into the forest to find the remaining bodies of dead warriors and brought them back...

She suddenly turned around as she heard a mans voice, and with that she saw a family friend standing behind her with saddened eyes. She had known this man for years, and her father and herself had put their trust in him.

"Please, Kyou, my father... where might he be...?" She said in a hurried voice while staring at the man. This man fought along side her father in plenty of wars... and the man only shook his head and looked down.

And Chiyoko began sobbing and pleading with him but he didn't say a word, but she already knew from just looking at him.

Her father wasn't coming home.

"This is none of your business!"

So begins...

~ Flashback ~

"My lady, would you like some tea?"

The soft and quiet voice came from behind the person the girl was speaking to. The girl who was speaking had her head bowed down, showing off her brown hair in an up-do. Her clothes were nothing put pure white, like many of the other people wore in the large temple. The girl was older... so she was more a woman then a girl. This woman had known the Lady's father, as well. The woman was always there to offer the Lady some tea or other bits of food, which she would almost always accept. But this time it was different. The younger woman just sat and looked out the window while remaining silent.

It was just then that an explosion of fire shook the whole village for about five seconds. Everybody in the temple flinched and some yelped, while the people outside screamed and ran away... as they had been doing for a long time. There was, indeed, another war outside and demons had invaded. It was different this time, though. With Chiyoko's father gone, she was now the leading lady in charge.... and this was the first time she had seen such an awful war going on right outside her window while being the leader... and she was frozen in place, not knowing what to do.

Tears welled up in her eyes (which was unusual for her) as she continued to watch the fire burning away homes and burning away memories. Yet, she was still frozen. How did she go through life before with her father and watch these wars and not feel anything? She did not know, but today she felt something. Sadness and despair.

"Is the..." Chiyoko started off saying quietly before she stopped to swallow the lump in her throat and dry away her tears. "Is the Kōaki Clan out there right now?"

"Yes, miss. They are fighting as we speak." The woman replied quietly. Chiyoko only nodded and continued to watch the wreckage going on outside her window. She somehow couldn't bring herself to get up and go out there and fight with them. It was a horrible feeling, and it made her feel sick to her stomach.

"Miss! Miss!" A mans voice called out at her as he ran down the hallway to meet up with her. Chiyoko quickly turned her head towards the man and brought her attention to him. She looked up into his panicked eyes with her sad ones.

"T-T-There's a m-man out there asking f-for you!" The man sad in a worried voice while he pointed towards the front door. "A man? What does he want? This isn't the time!" She protested as she glared up at the panicked guy. He had sweat slowly forming on his forehead and he was still panting his lungs out.

"I-It looks like a d-demon!" He whispered quietly, but loud enough for everyone in the room to here. Everyone in the room gasped and some started to run out of the room to safety. Chiyoko's eyes widened as she stood up quickly. She smoothed her purple coloured kimono out swiftly and started heading towards the front door without another word. Her black hair moved along as she did and the red ribbon in her hair did as well. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she approached the door and suddenly felt like she was choking on something. She kept her chin up though and slowly opened the front door. She could hear whispers from behind her from the people probably spotting her down and watching her every move. It wasn't everyday that a demon comes to a humans front door.

As she opened the door, she saw this demon man. Yes, he was indeed a demon. A demon who towered over her in height and had long red hair. She took a breath before she stepped outside and faced him. The temperature was hot from the fires around her and she could still here the screams of the villagers...

"You better have a damn good reason why you are here." She said sternly before the demon started explaining. Chiyoko kept her face blank as she listened to him closely and before she knew it, a piece of paper was being handed over to her. A Peace Contract. Humans haven't seen these things in years... and now that she was holding one in her hands, she didn't really know what to think or do. So, she read the thing out.

It was, indeed, asking for peace. For no more wars or fights. But then again, it was saying that if she agreed to this, the demons would be allowed to tear down some of the village and grow new trees in it's place for their homes. Chiyoko shook her head and looked up at the demon facing her.

And with a smirk now on her face, she took the piece of paper and tore it up bit by bit, all while remaining eye contact with the demon. Once she was done that, she threw the little pieces of paper on the ground in front of her and turned away. She knew she probably just disagreed with a deal of a lifetime, but she sure as hell wasn't about to bow down to a bunch of monsters.

~ End of Flashback ~

It was a busy day in the village. It was now the beginning of the week and the workers were all getting back to work to start a new week of business. It was almost noon and the sun was shining down upon the village and it's neighbors, the forest. It wasn't usually this warm out at this time in the month, so most people were taking it in and spending the day outside and placing out new markets and opening old ones along the street.

And Chiyoko herself was glad to be in the middle of it. She was there, walking down the busy road. She received a few waves from people and waved back with a smile. She was wearing another kimono, one that was dark red and had golden dragon designs all over it. Her hair was up in a traditional geisha kind of style.

She had left early in the morning to go walk around. Usually she would be required to go out with some kind of protection or guard, but she sometimes likes to take walks on her own from time to time. The company from the villagers is plenty of company for her.

She did, however, leave her bow back at the temple where everybody stayed and called home. Usually, members of the clan were required to go out with some sort of protection or weapon just in case anything were to happen, but... well... Chiyoko sometimes didn't listen. She just liked to go out on her own and enjoy a day. Especially a hot, sunny day like today.

"Hey, Chiyoko! Nice to see you out of your hiding place!" A mans voice called out to her. She recognized the voice immediately. An old friend. Well... not really a friend to her. She found the guy annoying but still continued to talk to him. He was starting work early, as he did everyday, to go cut down trees along with the other men. Chiyoko rolled her eyes and continued on walking, pretending as if she didn't hear him. But the guy knew she heard him. Almost everybody heard him...

"Hey! Wait up! Where's your husband at?" He asked loudly as he caught up with her. He now stood at her side and walked along with her pace as he looked at her. Chiyoko, however, didn't look back.

"He's not my husband, yet. Why don't you continue on with your day, okay?" She said with an annoyed voice as she refused to look at him and continued walking. The guy just shrugged... and just when Chiyoko thought he was thinking about turning away and going back to his job, he started up with telling her some amazing story. Chiyoko continued walking and tried to block him out, but it was hard to when he was practically shouting in your ear. She sighed. He'll probably be gone soon... so she had to put up with him for the time being.
