Lanuya Delida Acelet

"If life is as multicolored as the rainbow, then what's as multicolored as a box of crayons?"

0 · 1,215 views · located in Fantasy

a character in “Mental Implosion”, as played by Vanillasugar41

Description

Full Name: Lanuya Delida Acelet

Name Meaning: Special Intelligence / Divine Maiden / of Noble Birth

Nickname: N/A

Type of Supernatural Being: Mind Worker

Powers:
Legilimency - magically navigating through a person's mind. A person who practices this art is known as a Legilimens. More simply referred to as "mind-reading," practicers of this art disapprove of this term, labeling it as naive. If one is skilled enough, they can be able to implant thoughts or speak in another person's mind.

Occlumency - The opposite of Legilimency, better known as to shield one's mind from the invasion and influence of a Legilimens. This makes others unable to enter or read the practicer's mind. Lanuya does this naturally.

Telekinesis/Psychokinesis - moving physical objects by pure willpower. Often Lanuya will use this ability to do multiple things at once (ex: clean her room and make her dinner while she does her homework)

Empathy - the ability to sense another's emotional state. Lanuya does this constantly and does not know how to stop it. This makes her very good at communicating with people and solving problems.

Personality

Personality:
Lanuya is a pleasant, proper girl. Born and raised in a wealthy French family who taught her manors and made her into the "perfect child" she is. She's a very intelligent girl too with straight A's in all her classes, thought of fondly by both her peers and teachers. Lanuya is very quiet though, hardly speaking unless spoken to or if she has something important to say. Not a very athletic person but still very trim and sweet.

She can often be found reading a book or doing homework/extra credit work. Otherwise she'll be in her room playing the violin, cello, harp, piano or flute. And if she's not playing an instrument she's more than likely on the outskirts of the forest, working in her garden. Her two kittens, Velvet and Sugar, were her almost-constant companions before they perished.

Though she masks it very well, Lanuya suffers from extreme loneliness and isolates herself when the problem becomes apparent. The fact she can hear and sense other's thoughts and emotions terrifies her, as she doesn’t wish to know about all the things humanity has ever done. Of course, she keeps that fear bottled up inside and does her best to keep herself convinced that they are grand gifts. Lanuya only confides her inner thoughts and feelings in her kittens, but keeps a mask in the face of everyone else, acting completely fine. Now that they have died, she has been keeping her problems to herself.

Good Traits: Kind, loving, caring, problem solver, intelligent

Bad Traits: Lonely, masked, shy, prefers to be alone, not courageous

Likes: music, gardening, politeness, complements

Dislikes: foul language, headaches, reading other people’s minds, constant and exceedingly loud noises

Fears: drowning, losing a loved one, killing someone with her built up powers

Sexual Orientation: straight

Crush: N/A

Equipment

Image

Physical Description:
Lanuya's eyes are honey colored and her hair is golden blonde, reaching just past mid-back. Her skin is sort of pale with no freckles and she has a slender body build. Hourglass curves and wears a generous B cup. She has no tattoos or piercings so she had to wear clip-on earrings. Her hair regularly smells of honey as that’s the scent of her shampoo/conditioner (also her favorite smell).

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Birthday: January 14th

Height: 5’ 1”

Weight: 110 lbs

History

History:
Lanuya was born into a wealthy French family. Her mother and father owned a luxurious hotel that was very successful. She grew up being friendly, polite, proper and pleasant like a good girl ought to be. The hotel was a place of events where parties, fundraisers and concerts were often held. From the moment Lanuya heard music, she wished to play an instrument and has so far learned five. Often she’ll play for fundraisers or complementary entertainment purposes. In school Lanuya is a prized student and has received many awards and scholarships. Also she enjoys gardening and keeps her own separate garden on the roof alongside her parent’s prized plants.

But behind the mask of the perfect life, Lanuya has been hiding a great many secrets. She does not truly know when her powers first developed. All she knows is she has had them since she can remember. Being able to read people’s thoughts without trying proved to be abnormal, so Lanuya had to put a muzzle on herself and filter through her words carefully. This caused her to grow up quickly, and have a need to find other things to occupy her time so her mind would not wander to her secrets. Fearful that she would disappoint her parents, she kept her powers a secret and tried to live a normal life (more or less).

There had only once ever been a problem and that happened when Lanuya was 13 years old. An elderly man was staying at the hotel for a short time. He was particularly unpleasant and rude to Lanuya, apparently choosing her to pick on and berate. Though she tried her best to compose herself, Lanuya couldn’t handle the torment on top of the secret she was keeping. She began to feel a pocket of energy forming in her mind like a throbbing, hot headache that wouldn’t go away. She tried to ignore it but it got worse and worse until finally, the man said something particularly nasty and Lanuya lost it.

She began to cry softly on the outside and the knot of power shattered. She felt almost like a wave of built up energy go flying directly at the man and she felt his mind shatter then go completely blank. All other people in the room suddenly experienced a paralyzing migraine and Lanuya just stood there in shock. The man had gone insane, like her suddenly wasn’t home anymore, and died minutes later whilst the other guest who had been near had to be taken to their rooms until they recovered from the episode. Lanuya fled the scene and never spoke of it to anyone.

A few days after the explosion of Lanuya’s powers, two kittens were found in a basket on the grand steps of the hotel. The kittens were brought to the managers, Lanuya’s parents, and they decided to comfort their daughter and take her mind of the tragedy, they would give her these kittens. Lanuya and the kittens took to each other immediately. They've been her constant companions, sometimes even sneaking into her knapsack and going to class with her. Sugar and Velvet had a mental link to each other, just as Lanuya seems to have a mental link with them.

Recently Lanuya has felt the same knot of unused power growing in her head and fears that it will be a repeat of what happened before. One day she can across a poster for a mansion and thought that would be a perfect place to go to get away from the stress of her life. Hopefully there she could unwind the pocket of power before anyone got hurt. She held out until the school year ended before asking her parents if she could go, saying she wanted to take the summertime off so she could relax, make some new friends and just have a nice time.

Her parents thought this was a great idea, knowing how demanding the hotel could be sometimes, and thought that a peacefully spent summertime would be good for their daughter’s health. So they bought her the plane tickets and she promised to write/call them when she got the chance to let them know how she was doing before setting off with her kittens. Her parents send her a monthly allowance of $200 to spend on where ever she wants and Lanuya writes/calls them weekly.

After a short time at Nixie's house for the Supernatural, Lanuya contacted home and told them she was homesick and wished to return. She did not inform them of the trouble she had have there, the death of her kittens or the fact that she was bringing her friends along. Now Lanuya and her friends; David and Samil, are staying on this island for the summer.

So begins...

Lanuya stepped out of the car and recoiled from the movement. She had been greatly injuried a few days back and she couldn't for the life of her recall why. Neighter Samil nor David would tell her, insisting it had been a bad car accident. That didn't make sense because when Lanuya has awoken she'd be in a field without a single vehicle around. But at the time she had been too exhausted to point this fact out, and now didn't seem like a good time. Whatever had happened; happened, and now she was trying to recover from it. Still her body was sore and it all hurt alot, but she was slowly getting better. Turning away from the car which had taken her and her friends to the island, she found herself looking at the lovely house infront of them. As the cab driver took out all the things from the trunk, all their luggage and such, Lanuya walked up to the house, openning the door. It was very nice inside; the kitchen fully stocked, the house fully furnished and cleaned to near perfection: it was all lovely. Turning to Samil and David she smiled, holding her hands together, "It's this fantastic?" she laughed.

Samil woke from a long travel to find himself with Lanuya... and that Nephilim, David. Growling, he walked inside, freeing his hands from his pockets. He watched Lanuya closely, the memory of what had happened a few days back became fresh in his mind once again. "It's this fantastic?" She asked, and he nodded in agreement. "It's a beautiful home." He said, ripping his eyes from her and looking around. It's interior was amazing, well designed and furnished.

David remained awake for the whole trip to the house. He did not want a repeat incident of what happened before arriving in France. The memories were fresh in his mind as if they had happened sooner. As he heard Samil growl, the Arch-Nephilim rolled his eyes. Some summer, huh? Well, at least one of us is enjoying this moment!

"It's this fantastic?" Lanuya was laughing as she made that query.

David took a mental survey of the house only when she asked the question, after which the Arch-Nephilim responded with. "Yeah... It's lovely... and practical... a step up from our previous place of residence... You sure you don't want me to try to get rid of more of the pain?" His demeanor was calm, yet his inner thoughts were of regret, the regret of failure. He blamed himself for not being there in time to save Lanuya from certain death, for not doing enough to keep her safe. Despite the fact she was alive again, the remorse remained, and it slowly embittered him.

Lanuya smiled at David, but her smile faultered a little. Though she tried to hide it well, and her recovery was coming along (however slowly) David still knew how much she suffered sometimes. She stepped towards him and gave him a hug of comforting, as that usually made him feel better. "It's okay David. I have to get through it all on my own. Besides, I don't want you wasting anymore of your energy. You almost fainted trying to keep me from hurting on the plane, remember?" Lanuya sighed, letting go of him again. "Don't worry," she said reassuringly with one of her brilliant smiles, "I'll tell you if it ever gets unbareable."

Looking between the two she smiled, waving as the the cab driver zoomed away, leaving all of their luggage on the cobblestone pathway leading to the house. Lanuya walked over and picked up her out bag, pulling the handle out of one of her suitcases. "Well, we're not going to get anything done standing around here!" she chirped, taking her things inside, whistling a tiny tune she'd heard on the radio.

David blushed as Lanuya hugged him, leaving him with a small grin. Aw, no fair! She knows that is my one weakness when I'm down! As he hugged her back, the Arch-Nephilim sighed and said, "I know, darling! I remember!" He got his backpack from the pathway and took it to one of the rooms, using the key he had to open it. It was not a bad room, with a bed that seemed comfortable and storage areas with more than enough room for his few belongings. He always traveled light, only taking what he knew he would use. David placed his bible on one of the shelves before heading outside the room and locking it. He stood in the living room in case anyone needed him.

Samil let out a sound of disgust at the two hugging, and trailed after Lanuya as she walked inside. He brought his luggage along, and walked to his room. http://cdn.home-designing.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/23.jpg It was a cozy little room, with a mixture of soft, pale colors. He smiled and unpacked his clothes into the drawers, plus his new laptop. After working so long as a bartender, he'd earned enough to pay Nixie rent and buy a few new things.

When he was finished, he went back downstairs and walked into the same room as Lanuya. Wincing at the music she'd turned on, he scowled, and pulled out some cleaning supplies. "Is this what you meant by getting something done?" He asked, arching an eyebrow.

Lanuya giggled at Samil's comment. "Hey, music makes things move faster." she defended her actions playfully, "Besides, I like this song!" Then she brought all the stuff up to her room. She sighed happily, pleased as her parents had made it look almost exactly like her room at home. Unpacking her things and putting them all way, Lanuya took off her shoes and set them aside. She always had prefered to walk around barefoot as it just felt... easier, and as an added bonus it felt a lt more comfortable. Trailing back downstairs, Lanuya jumped the last step and hummed to the song that was on again. "Are you guys hungry?" she asked, looking through that pantry, thinking about what she could cook. After all, it had been a long trip and someone (besides Lanuya) was bound to be hungry.

Samil watched her skip away like a happy little bunny. He brought a hand to his face and dragged it back down in exaustion. He followed her slowly, but parted ways when she want into her room, going to his own instead. "I would normally assume that the rooms are clean.... but I'll just check the windows and such...." He trailed off as he walked over to the window, staring out.

The island was beautiful, a great scene. His jaw dropped in awe, and let his green eyes scan over the place.

"I guess I am a little hungry. I'll go ahead and fix up some pretzels to go along with whatever else is being made." David took out whatever dry ingredients he knew he could use from the pantry, leaving room for Lanuya to move around. He then proceeded to make the dough for the pretzels. Since It was sort of the same procedure with yeast breads, he had no trouble with the recipe. The Arch-Nephilim knew exactly how to make them, and executed the recipe perfectly before putting the six pretzels in the oven. "There are two for each of us, so you know!"

((If it's okay I'm gonna start of the plot line :3))

Lanuya smiled, "Great! Ham and cheese go very well with pretzels! I'll slice some ham and..." she trailed off, mttering mostly to herself the entire recipe. It was short and simple and wouldn't upset the three's stomachs after such extensive travel. Getting out the cheese she laid them neatly in an array on a platter, then sliced up some ham and laid that out too. Just as she was setting it out, Lanuya heard the doorbel ring. Now I wonder who on earth that could be...' Lanuya thought, then announced, "I'll get it~" Skipping to the door, Lanuya opened it to find (to her great surprise) Tamar Hagar there. She smiled, "Hello Lanuya. May I speak with Samil please?" Lanuya was a little stunned but mantained a smile and opened the door wider. "Sure! Come on in, make yourself at home. Oh Samil~" she called as Tamar Hagar came inside, shutting the door behind her, "Someone is here to talk to you!"

David picked up a familiar DNA strand. "Tamar Hagar?" He went into the living room and saw his assumption was correct. He laughed a little as he sat on one of the couches. "We never seem to catch a break, do we?"

Tamar Hagar shook her head while still smiling. "Apparantly not. I'm here to talk to you and Samil, but Samil will have to hear his message, first."

David looked at Lanuya with a smile on his face. "I haven't seen her this happy in days!" He felt a little better, though he still could not get over what happened before the arrival in France. Tamar Hagar knew of his guilt better than anyone.

(God, Sorry I'm so late >.<)

Samil was in the middle of who knows what when he heard Lanuya call him. He slowly made his way to where the voice had come from. He stopped infron of the character he knew as Tamar Hagar. "Salut." He said, looking at the Angelic being with a confused look on his face. "Who came to see me?" Assuming that the being was here for the Nephilim, and not himself. Samil's green eyes scanned their faces for the same look of confusion he knew was pasted on his own face.

Lanuya looked between the three then remembered she had been cooking in a different room and hurried off to finish that. Tamar Hagar watched the blonde girl leave and smiled a little bit, nodding at David. "Good work David. I'm glad to know she is recovering from the incident." She didn't bother to specify; they knew full well that 'the incident' refered to Lanuya's death and resurrection back at Nixie's house for the supernatural. "I came here for a greater reason than a housewarming chat. I came here because I have a reward and a proposition for you Samil." Tamar Hagar turned and looked directly into Samil's confused, wandering green eyes. "For giving up your powers and status as a demon for the greater good, you have been rewarded with minor powers though as you can see you are still a mortal. My offer, sent directly from the High Angel Coucil which I myself partake in, is that you become more than a mere mortal." She extended her hand and opened it, palm up, and in it hovered a strange essence. It was white with tints of dark, flashy silver and from it eminated what seemed to be a Holy form of Death. "This is the essence of the Death Angel. If you accept it, you will become an angel. A Fallen Angel, because you have not yet completed your services, but when you do you will become the Angel of Death." Tamar Hagar smiled slightly, holding the glowing misty orb out towards Samil. "Well Samil? Do you accept?"

Samil watched, still confused. He'd wanted to leave the room with Kanuya, feeling a strange aura swarming around him.

"I came here for a greater reason than a housewarming chat. I came here because I have a reward and a proposition for you Samil. For giving up your powers and status as a demon for the greater good, you have been rewarded with minor powers though as you can see you are still a mortal. If you accept it, you will become an angel. A Fallen Angel, because you have not yet completed your services, but when you do you will become the Angel of Death. Well Samil? Do you accept?"

During this speech, Tamar Hagar brought out a strange little object, containing his former stance. "A...Fallen? Again? But- I was... I let go of...." He was in awe and took the item from her hand, rolling it around in his own. "So, we meet again, my demonic form." He said, turning from Tamar Hagar and spinning the orb. Looking over his shoulder in delight, Samil nodded to Tamar Hagar.

"Oh Hell yes I accept."

Tamar Hagar then spoke to David. "And as for you, David..." She walked over and place a hand on his shoulder. "You keep him in line! He will have to learn to use his powers not for amusement, but with responsibility! Only then will he become the Angel of Death! I happen to know of a particular event in the future that will be the critical moment for him, though I am confident you two can handle it when it comes!"

David nodded. "If I must!" He went in the kitchen to check on the pretzels, seeing they still needed time and walked back in the living room. "You hear that, Samil?" The Arch-Nephilim was now displaying some of his bitterness. "She placed me in charge of watching you, which means you're not off the hook, yet!"

Samil laughed hysterically. "And? That doesn't make you the boss of me. Just someone who tries to keep me out of trouble. Though, I doubt that'll happen." He chuckled, placing his hands behind his head. "And what would you be able to do anyways? Hurt me with your healing powers?" He laughed again, knowing on the inside that this was a sirious matter.

David smirked. "Have you read about how two angels destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? You'd be surprised what anyone with angel in them is capable of!"

Tamar Hagar chimed in with a smirk of her own. "I don't usually tell anyone this, but I was one of the two angels involved in that destruction! You didn't think I had a masculine form, did you? To tell you the truth, I am genderless!" She patted Samil on the shoulder. "Now, let's think rationally! If I am capable of the destruction of an entire town, You have not yet seen how deadly David can be! You'd do well not to test him!"

Samil furrowed his brow, accepting the fact that the Angels were partially correct. "Whatever, all I'm saying is I'm not some child to babysit, so lay off." He snapped, eyes narrowing. He turned abrupty and walked to the kitchen, not sure why. He stood back, and watched her with keen eyes, noting how swift her hands were and how nimbly she was able to whip something up. He wasn't sure if she'd noticed him; It seemed like not. He observed her a little more before snapping his fingers, lighint them with a little green flame. He rolled it around in his hands and let it crawl inbetween his fingers.

Tamar Hagar laughed a little. "Samil reminds me so much of Azazel before he rebelled! He was always a rather angry individual!" She turned towards the door. "Well, it looks like I said what I had to, so I best be off!" Once outside and the door closed, she masked her angelic scent and turned into a siamese cat. I'm not the Archangel of Secrets for no reason! I know some tricks which keep me from being identified while I go on covert assignments! Do your stuff, David! The pressure is great, but you can handle it!

David checked on the pretzels a second time, and found they were done. He pulled them out and said, "Okay! They are ready! Two pretzels for each of us!" His recipe made the pretzels have a crisp exterier while the inside was rather chewy. "Careful! They're hot!"

Lanuya looked up as the two boys entered the room and smiled, looking around. "Oh, did Tamar Hagar leave? Pity. I was going to offer so ordervies to our first guest. Oh bein, there is always next time." Lanuya giggled before getting out three plates and loading them with ham and cheese sliced before placing them near Davidi for him to put pretzels on. "We'd better eat quickly; there's so much to do and so little time! If we get done with all the jobs, maybe we can drop by the beach and if it's not to late we could even go swimming!" Humming softly Lanuya looked up and saw on the counter infront of her was an orb. It was the one Tamar Hagar had been holding moments after Lanuya left. Timidly she reatched foreward and picked it up, staring deep into the misty depths. "Samil?" she said quietly, approaching him, "I think... I think this is yours." Lanuya reatched out, offering up the sphere of Samil's power to him like a peace offering.
