Story:
We’ve all heard the story about King Arthur and how he was a brave and wonderful warrior and King. But how many of us focused on what happened before Arthur was king? How he and Merlin became friends and how Morgana came to hate Arthur Pendragon and his father Uther Pendragon.

Plot:
King Uther Pendragon rules Camelot with an iron fist, magic is not allowed. If you are caught using magic, you are immediately sentenced to death. Even with his hatred of magic, under the castle, King Uther has captured the last dragon, keeping him there where – as King Uther believes – he can do no harm.
Merlin, a young and budding wizard, travels to Camelot to study under Galus, the Court Physician. Soon enough, Galus finds out about Merlin’s powers and secretly teaches Merlin magic.
One day as Merlin is going out to gather herbs and other supplies for Galus, Prince Arthur is out in the town, messing with a commoner. Merlin, who doesn’t know that this is Prince Arthur, confronts Arthur about his treatment of the commoner. Arthur lets it go, figuring he’ll be able to get him back later.
That night, the King has a large feast with a rival kingdom, to celebrate their peace treaty. The rival King presents King Uther and Prince Arthur with goblets as a peace gift. Unbeknownst to any of them, the goblet that was presented to Arthur was poisoned. Merlin finds out about this fact and jumps in to save Arthur. Not believing him when he told them, the King decides that if the goblet was poisoned as Merlin said, then Merlin should drink from the goblet to prove it. Merlin does so, and at first it doesn’t seem like it is poisoned, but a minute or so later, Merlin falls to the ground, poisoned……

Our story will start with Merlin arriving at the castle and work into the plot, so that it doesn’t move too fast. The above is just so we have a basic plot to follow and we know where the story is going to head sort of ish.
