Physical Desc.

Petite and wiry-looking, slight awkwardness in his posture. Messy dark brown hair that comes down to the nape of his neck, parted from the center. Round silver wire glasses with mixed light blue-grey eyes. Patchy stubble of a beard (if you can call it anything other than that), pale semi-sickly skin.
He wears a lab coat that comes down past his knees, a well pressed button-up with a green sweater vest pulled over underneath the coat. Dark grey dress pants with plain looking dress shoes (if not a little beaten up). A metal structure strapped on to his lower limbs to allow him the ability to walk are slightly clunky and noticeable.

Personality

Very absorbed in his work, often oblivious to his surroundings while deep in research. He seems meek, but in his comfort zone of Steel and Electric types he can be more assertive - especially battling as Gym Leader. He is still a very nervous guy, and can get confused under stress. Besides that, he has a good sense of wit which he uses almost as a coping and defense mechanism.
He loves his son Hal but his awkwardness and research often get in the way of him trying to connect with Hal. He personally thinks of Dr. Strangelove as a friend and co-worker in the Labs.

Equipment & Abilities

He is an expert in Steel and Electric types of pokemon, and even more so Steel/Electric types. His main focus Magnamite, which he breeds and studies their behavior and evolution. He also is paralyzed from the waist down, using mechanical legs that are strapped around his midriff and limbs to allow movement.

Historical Background

Before he became a Gym Leader, he was a field researcher with his fellow college Dr. Strangelove. Together, they cataloged and recorded breeding spots for pokemon. After discovering a Magnamite breeding ground and witnessing the evolution process of a Magnaton, he dedicated his life to studying them. He and Dr. Strangelove founded a research lab, which then turned into a gym. He has a secret project dubbed "PROJECT MOTHERSHIP" where he keeps his prized Magnazone "Bessy" who he raised from an egg. Bessy has only been seen by Dr. Strangelove and Huey, she remains a mystery to other gym leaders and even other family members.
