Dôs moi pâ stô, kaì tàn gân kīnā́sō. It means: Give me somewhere to stand, and I will move the Earth.
Nicknames: Most people call me Aria. I think it's the easiest one. My roommate calls me Ari. No one else can.
Age: 22 I am of legal drinking age
[b]Role: The Maid Such a...demeaning name. 'Cause I don't do the whole really short, tight dress with the head thing. I'd like to say...the Help. And trust me, some of these rich folk need it.
Birthday: November 7th
Hometown: I was born in Norfolk, Virginia. But I wouldn't remember that - I left before I even turned three weeks. My first family moved me to Pennsylvania and then another moved me to New York. I have a lot of hometowns, so I'll just claim Norfolk.
Sexuality: Heterosexual I think we all experimented at some point. But...guys are it for me. And that whole, I'm attracted to intelligence thing? He can be as intelligent as he wants to be and if it turns you on, whatever. But if his intelligence outweighs his manners, I could care less if he found the cure for the cancer. He's not my type.
Occupation: Again, I'm a maid at Hotel Colony. But, on the side, I'm completing my senior year at University of Miami. On the weekends, I perform at the nightclub as a singer.

Personality: Aria is that girl that when you look at her, you wonder why she's in the job that she's in. She dresses nicely, she's never appeared unkept, and she is seemingly sweet. She doesn't cause problems. But she works and she works hard. She knows what it's like not to have anything and how hard it is in the world. She was that child that somebody left in the hospital and never looked back. She knows the struggles and she doesn't take things for granted. Life is far too precious to waste your time being a petulant child thinking that everyone should give you whatever whenever you want. So, she works at the Hotel not because she actually needs the money, but because she wants to make the money.
Her roommate is also her best friend and pretty much owns a flat that they live in. And despite the fact that Aria has been told countless times that she doesn't need to pay for anything, she does. She works and she brings back money. And if the money isn't needed, she puts it to her education. She's worked her ass off for school and has a full ride at the University of Miami, so any money she gets is for food, clothes and books for school. She never wastes anything. She's hardly - if ever - spent time to just spoil herself. She doesn't think she deserves it.
She hasn't let her struggles with adoption and being an orphan affect her and make her insecure or anything. But it has humbled her. She won't spend money on herself and somewhere deep down, she wants to. And at the same time, she hates when people do things for her. It's not that she doesn't feel flattered or anything, but because not a lot of people have and who is she to take from people when there are others that need help more? She's extremely generous and will actually give someone on the street $5 dollars that she could've spent on herself. On a deeper level, she's also not ready to accept people or their affection much because she's been disappointed. Again, she's been abandoned. Not just by the mother she never knew, but by six families that just decided to give her away. Only two explained themselves, one she understood, and the others just left. She fears that and she's only been in one real relationship and even then her heart was too heavy for all her kindness to be as free and in love. But she longs to be and maybe, one day, she will. But for now, she'll focus on getting through school, working and performing.
History
Ariadne Helena Karalis was born twenty-two years ago to a half-Grecian man and woman. The man was involved with gangs and drugs and died a few months before her birth. Her mother never wanted to be pregnant and only went on with the pregnancy because her boyfriend promised to care for the baby. Aria doesn't know that part of the story. She was born and the woman left two days later, not even flinching or even feeling somewhat guilty for abandoning her baby. To this day, despite the fact that she does not know this woman, Aria has yet to forgive the woman.
Aria stayed with her first family until she turned five. They had only adopted her because they couldn't conceive, but then when they could, they couldn't support two children. So, they chose to give up Aria. She barely can remember them, but the mother smelled like cherries. It's the scent Aria is known for now. The second family adopted her and gave her up when she was seven. She and the son had never gotten along. He was violent towards her and at a young age, Aria learned how to fight. When she made him hit his head on the coffee table, they blamed the issue on her and just dropped her off at the orphanage. She understood and shrugged it off. There would always be another, she told herself.
The next two families adopted her and left her in the dust. By the time Aria turned fourteen, she was pretty much done with families. She focused on school. The orphanage made sure she received an education and while browsing through the music room, she started singing. She joined the local choir and before long, Aria found her calling. Dancing had been in her life before then. The last two families passed by her in a blur and Aria couldn't tell you even if she wanted to. One did explain their reasoning. After all, they had three other adopted children and then their own. That was too much drama and Aria wouldn't have wanted to deal with them for long anyway. But she remained positive in her life, burying her pain and feeling of abandonment. After all, at least people at the orphanage cared. They fed her, clothed her, and sent her to school. And she had a plan for life. She was going to be an amazing writer and when she graduated from high school with a full ride to the University of Miami, she took it.
She's in her senior year now and has been working at the Hotel for a year. She's seen a few things at this hotel and not a lot of things impresses her anymore. She's just trying to get through college, take care of herself, and accomplish her goals. And maybe, if it's in the cards, she'll find love. But she lives by one code: "Dôs moi pâ stô, kaì tàn gân kīnā́sō." "Give me somewhere to stand, and I will move the Earth." And she will - with her voice.
