After lord Seylum's death and the disappearance of Princess Riven, the remnants of the Seylum clan was taken in as vassals to the son of Lord Ezekiel, Lord Garion, who was plotting to rebel against his father. Under the Ezekiel family they waited, loyally serving Lord Garion as best as they could as he lead conquests and wars to try to gain territory and power against the Ezekiel clan. The war waged on for a long time, a painfully long time, with neither Garion nor Ezekiel getting the upper hand. 400 years of conflict, 400 years of slavery when they were meant to be strong, meant to stand powerfully on their own two feet.

Gavyn, Luke, and Jaden were Iflet's were cousins visiting when the vampires attacked. The four children were taken in by the remnants of the Seylum family, turned into vampires. Iflet was an infant at the time, with no memories of the incident. Lord Garion took great interest in Iflet in particular, praising her for her keen intellect and her hostility even in the face of being a vassal. As such, once Iflet was half grown, at twelve years of age, she was taken in as a concubine to one of the higher ranking family members, separated from the rest of her family. Once invited to a part of the main Garion family, Iflet's had to endure all sorts of... horrible tortures of both a mental and physical nature. Forced to device war strategies for Lord Garion and bear his child, she developed plans for the Garion clan to gain a decisive advantage against the Ezekiel clan, and an end to the war was in sight. The only silver lining in Iflet's life was meeting the vampire maid, Sowaka, who treated her nicely and tried to ease her pains.

Eventually the abuse was discovered, however, so Lord Ezekiel had her sent back to her family and back to Gavyn. However, even with the extensive torture, it wasn't enough to break Iflet's spirit and slowly, over the next few years she plotted and stewed, waiting for the perfect moment, with Gavyn and the twins as key roles in the strategy. Once victory was in hand, years later, and Lord Garion was about to finally kill off Lord Ezekiel, at Iflet's urging, the Seylum family struck back, killing Lord Garion. Iflet placed her cousin Gavyn on the throne, renewing the Seylum Family once more.

Once the Seylum Family was renewed, Iflet quickly became the brains behind Gavyn's rule, doing what she excelled in: strategy and administration. She also managed to keep a little trinket from her days under Lord Garion's thumb, pocketing his weapon for herself to use in times of war. Iflet stands firm as the right hand behind Gavyn's rule, loyally serving and making plans to ensure the family's continued success in the future. She's bogged down in complicated stratagems and political games with the other Vampire Kings and Queens, being basically considered a Queen herself, when the hunters attacked and Iflet, seeing an opportunity to gain an advantage in the war, had Gavyn and the twins relocated to the hotel for the time being, waiting, always waiting.
