Description
Mack is a rather tall fellow, towering at about six feet with a slight muscular frame. His eyes are doe-brown and almost innocent while his short hair is jet black, spiking over his forehead. His skin is an olive complexion and bears the marks of his father's violent rages. He is a man that carries the look of a good man, however his father is attempting to morph him into the cruel man that he is.
"I dream of freedom..."
Personality
{Dreamer, Talented, Sweet, Trapped, Torn}
Makoto is a gentle spirit that is a firm believer in non-violence. He is a lover, not a fighter and finds his father's views twisted and wrong. He has a Buddhist mentality that causes him to find passive methods to solve his problems. Morally, Mack is the pinnacle of innocence because he has a tendency to merely see the best in people, even when it's not even there. This is also the main cause of his naive nature; his tragic flaw. He is a very spiritual person with his 'make love not war' outlook on life. He thinks that the world isn't a horrid place, but simply a bit lost.
Being a complete sweet heart, Makoto doesn't approve of his father's ideals. He believes that there is a simpler, more honest way to make a living. Mack is a dancer. He moves with a fluid grace that is to be admired, but due to his family's business, he is forced to cast away everything that he is to be someone else.
Tragically, Makoto's heart is too pure. Despite his father's caustic remarks, violent rages, and cruel tortures, Mack still loves him. It's that devotion and love that will end him one day. His is too selfless; risking his life to save another because the mere thought of doing such a good deed is enough to make it worth it. He can't stand to see anyone in pain, no matter who they are, he feels compelled to comfort them. He will throw away his problems in order to assist someone else, however this can be taxing on him because his concern will not falter. He will worry himself until he is positive that everything is okay. He does these things not only out of the kindness of his heart, but also to escape from his own troubles.

August 5th
History
Makoto's life has always been planned from the moment he was bought into the world. His father ran the Japanese mafia in New York City, teaching Mack to run the business when he finally reached his peak. Being the eldest, Makoto was next in line to carry out the legacy that his grandfathers set for him. However, during his childhood, Maki expressed signs of generosity and purity that his father dismissed. His mother taught him that kindness and love were golden; to not lead with your fist, but your heart. He embraced her lessons along with the piano, violin, and cello, but what really caught his attention were the ballroom dancing lessons that his mother enrolled him in when he was ten. He discovered his knack for dance and ventured out, honing his talent is multiple genres. He felt free when he was tap dancing, careless when he was break dancing, and graceful when he was foxtrotting. Makoto found his passion.
It wasn't until he was eighteen and his sister, Kazuki was thirteen that their father began to expect more from Makoto. He pushed him towards the business, criticizing his dancing and calling him a disgrace. He claimed that Maki was breaking tradition. Humble, Mack didn't argue, simply allowing his father to verbally abuse him and flinching whenever he raised his hand at him. He began to hide his talent, only dancing in the privacy of his bedroom. He hoped that one day, he'd be able to convince his father that his gift wasn't a waste of time. Sadly, the man refused to listen. He forced Maki to attend business deals, watch men get tortured for information, and oversee illegal transactions. Each event making Maki feel dirty.
When he turned twenty, Maki's mother gave birth to his youngest brother, Yuki, but died in the process. Her death led to his father's spiral. He took out the pain of his loss on Mack. Within that same year, his father took him to yet another torture session. Apparently, the man was rat and deserved to be punished, but Mack knew him personally and knew that at home, he had three kids and a wife to care for. He remained silent as the man was beaten within an inch of his life, but then his father commanded the goons to stop before turning to Maki and ordering him to finish the traitor off slowly and painfully. Maki hesitated, but refused. His father pointed the pistol to his head, declaring that Makoto was not his son because his son wouldn't defy him. Afraid for his life, Maki reluctantly torture the man then ended his life with a gruesome stab to the throat. After that day, the dancer was traumatized and filled with so much shame that he considered suicide. That's when the idea hit him. He'd fake his dead and escape the tyranny of his father's rule. Month went by and Makoto planned everything to the T.
One rainy night, Makoto was on his way home after closing a deal with a drug lord. He swerved off the road, crashing the car and getting out then used lighter fluid to set the car on fire. After faking his death, Maki made his way to freedom...until The Gift of Innocence recruit found him.

Happiest Memory
"My mom taught me how to ballroom dance. She'd pick twirl me around as classical music swirled around us. She was an amazing dancer and an amazing woman."
Saddest Memory
"I can't get his screams out of my head. My father instructed me, urging me forward as he pressed the gun to my head, 'slice off his ear,' or 'cut off two fingers'...he kept begging, talking about his wife and kids. He was so scared. I didn't want to do it, God, I didn't want to...I'm just so sorry."
Theme Song
So this is what you meant
When you said that you were spent
And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit
Right to the top
Don't hold back
Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check
I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night
It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am
So this is where you fell
And I am left to sell
The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell
Right to the top
Don't look back
Turning the rags and giving the commodities a rain check
I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night
It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am
It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am
This road never looked so lonely
This house doesn't burn down slowly
To ashes, to ashes
It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am
It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am
I believe it's time for me to be famous,
And out of place.
I believe it's time for me to move forward,
When I break through.
This time I'll, make you,
Proud to see me over, come on daylight.
Proud of, who you raised.
Your shelter, your peacefulness.
So this time I'll make you proud.
Proud of, who you raised up.
You know that I will,
Always be here 'til the end.
Come back so I can say thank you for this,
Home cooked meals and a place to rest,
My troubled head when you're away,
I've passed the test, I've earned an A,
Not just in school, but in life,
You'll always be right by my side.
To help me show, hope to all,
That are lost and sick in this dying world.
I'll use the love you left behind,
I'll change their minds, I'll change their minds.
I hope, I hope you smile,
When you look down on me.
I hope you smile.
This can't, we won't know.
I hope that I make you proud.
This is not what it is, only baby scars.
I need your love like a boy needs his mother's side.
This is not what it is, only baby scars.
I need your love like a boy needs his mother's side.
This is not what it is, only baby scars.
I need your love like a boy needs his mother's side, yeah.
