The knock at the door wasn't unsettling in the least. She was ready, and had to be ready. "Voy a contestar la puerta," or 'I'll answer the door,' she said evenly before going to get it.

There were two locks on the door that she had to get unlocked before opening to the man that stood on the other side. As soon as the door had been opened, she saw he was definitely not the man he was expecting and smirked. Emma was getting tired of being all buddy-buddy with the drug addicts anyway.

The woman who had opened the door was smirking, as if she knew who he was. She seemed... off. He eyed her for a moment, her posture and stance belied training of some kind, though he couldn't be sure which. He couldn't help wondering just who she was and why she was in the room of the man that he'd been sent to kill. She didn't look like a hooker or drug addict. She might have been there to buy weapons but Salvador was here to sell drugs. He looked past her to confirm a fleeting glimpse of the Mexican man that was his mark, before speaking.

"Hello miss. I seem to have gotten the wrong room. I didn't mean to disturb you."

She simply stared at the man for a moment while throwing around some thoughts. She'd known her agency wasn't the only one after the drug dealer, but still couldn't determine much about the man by just looking at him. She'd managed to catch him glimpse inside the room, making her feel a bit stronger in her conviction as she loosened up a bit to show no signs of danger to the man behind her, who now felt closer. It wouldn't help if he ran away.

"Not to worry, it happens to everyone," she said nonchalantly.

Mason nodded and turned to walk down the hall towards the elevators. He mumbled something about wrong floors just loud enough for the woman to hear. He'd need to come at this from a different angle. If guns weren't an option he'd need to find a better way to dispose of Salvador without his little bodyguard getting in the way.

Once he was out of sight and earshot he tapped his ear. "Looks like Salvador has company. I need to know who this chick works for. Blonde, about 5 1/2 feet, brown eyes. I know she's not one of ours."

"We'll check what other agencies are out for Salvador. In the meantime, try and find him alone."

"Roger."

Emma shrugged and turned to explain that it was simply someone that got the wrong room. She felt there was something going on, but had to find some time alone to investigate. There wasn't much time alone when it came to a drug dealer. It seemed he was extremely cautious about who left and when, the man probably didn't want to have his precious information leaked. She had to get out of there, and soon.

After a bit of thought, Emma picked up her bag and informed the man she was leaving for a bit. She'd gained privileges after some time, and it worked to her advantage in situations like these. She entered the back hall then spoke. "No deal yet," she whispered while looking around.

"Keep watch on who enters and exits the room. We need you to keep track of everything."

She returned to the room after several minutes and knocked on the door.

Just as Mason finished setting up his sound gear, he heard a knock at his door. He quickly grabbed his silenced pistol and looked through the peephole. There was the woman that had been with Salvador! He hid the pistol behind his back and opened the door slowly. Making sure that she wouldn't surprise him. He smiled. "Oh hey, it's you. I found my room after all."

Her eyes narrowed as soon as she saw him. Friendly. Too friendly perhaps. He seemed too suspicious to the woman. She stared him down for a few sexonds, trying to examine his surroundings. Emma really doubted he was an enemy, or at least wasn't a drug dealer. "Oh, is that so? I'm sorry, I'll be going now," she said in monotone before stepping sway catiously.

Mason eyed the woman. She had come to his room for something, probably trying to spy on him, she seemed to be growing suspicious of him. She was starting to act more cautiously and her monotone showed that she was unnerved by his smile. Figures, he was never all that good at smiling. He decided to press her a little, see how she would respond.

"Why the rush to leave? You knocked for something, right? What's up?"

Emma didn't turn to look at him at first. She would've much rather him let her have a smooth leave. After a few moments, she turned around and smiled in a friendly manner.

"You look at me like I'm an enemy. Am I not supposed to desire to question it?" It was the only thing she'd said that was her true thoughts in a while. She was pretty good with looking into people's expressions for suspicion or question.

Was she dropping her facade? Mason cocked his head, wondering. If she knew about him, she might be a threat. He silently made sure the safety was off on his pistol behind his back. He decided that if she was dropping her act, he might want to as well. His smile faded immediately.

"Look. Regardless of whether you're my enemy or not doesn't matter. I've got a job to do, and you happen to be in my way."

"No one is ever in your way if you don't wish it to be so. People are rather simple." She swiftly returned to her almost stiff position and turned away from him once more. She was, of course, still on duty.

"Been trained to see and hear things most don't. Adieu." She quickly walked away towards another hallway.

Mason raised an eyebrow and watched her leave. When she got out of sight, he closed the door and began to move quickly. He gabbed the hypodermic needle and his lock-picking set and got to work opening the bathroom door that the two rooms shared. If she stayed gone long enough, he'd be able to kill Salvador and be back in his room before she knew it. She'd be suspicious but Salvador would be dead of an overdose and he could get on to his next mission.

She'd left for half an hour, not paying mind to what would happen in the process. It wasn't really her job to protect the stupid man. It was only an alias she'd built in order to perform her job, though pretending could be rather fun. She took a deep breath and walked back inside the building, stopping at the door of the room Salvador was supposed to be in for a second, then unlocking the door and a stepping inside. She found w just what she'd expected.

The man was dead, seemingly of overdose. He had a needle in his arm and the room had been messed up a little. If there had been a fight, it was short and one-sided. The man's stash had been rifled through and it looked as though Salvador got carried away and burned through it himself. Anyone who knew better, however, would know that it had probably been confiscated by Salvdor's killer.

Mason had just finished checking in with his command and packing up when he heard the door to the room next door open up. Despite himself, he was curious about what the woman would do.

"Subject deceased." She said the words before closing the door and leaving it to the proper authorities to handle the dead body. This mission was complete, and there was nothing that left her there besides curiosity. It wasn't something that seemed too professional, so she adjusted her posture before leaving once more and taking a few minutes to herself outside. Her job was something she took too seriously, perhaps, but she enjoyed the times in between assignments.

"Subject deceased." Mason heard the woman say before leaving. She was definitely a spy, or something along those lines. He tapped his ear again.

"Anything on the girl?"

"We've looked into her but the description you gave wasn't enough. The other agencies aren't giving us anything."

"Hrm. Think she might be rogue?"

"That's up to you to find out. She's your next assignment."

"You've gotta be kidding me."

"Get close to her, find out who she works for and if she's a threat."

Mason sighed, "Roger."

I was tired, though I didn't really feel like going to sleep in some hotel room. I almost wished I had some occupation like a teacher. After a while, an idea popped into my mind. A drink couldn't hurt, right? But, before doing anything about it, I shook my head and got rid of the thought. I was a lightweight, and it would probably be pretty disastrous if I spilled anything on accident.

Mason finished packing his gear but left it in the room. He looked out to see if the girl was still nearby. If so, he'd walk out to meet her, maybe ask her for a drink. If not, he'd have to take up a search for her. He'd rather not take her in by force if he didn't have to.

Emma paced at a slow, calm pace, considering her options. She finally came to the conclusion that she should probably go ahead and go get some sleep. Before long, she heard footsteps behind her, and she stiffened before relaxing and turning to see who it was--after all, she was just a regular person at the moment, so it wouldn't be ideal to go around pointing guns at people.

Mason saw the woman turn around to look and him and he put up his hands in a non-threatening gesture as he approached. He tried to seem as friendly as possible, which was extremely hard to do. He stopped a respectful distance from her and nodded.

"I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted earlier. I...also wanted to thank you. Maybe I could get you a drink?"

It was the man from earlier, and she became suspiscious. She found his words hard to believe, but went along with the whole thing for the sake of it. It wasn't like she would have anything to do until she was called in once more.

"Why would you thank me? And that'd be nice." It certainly would not, she thought. She went against what she'd thought about earlier, but she was curious about this man.

"I wanted to thank you for making my job easier." Mason said as he led her down the hallway towards the elevators. Even in a casual situation like this, he proudly found himself constantly checking his corners and staying alert to any small noise, ordinary or not. "When I had never given you any reason to do so." He pressed the button for the door. "Name's Mason, by the way. Nice to meet you, miss..." He held out his hand, waiting.

She nodded slightly as he stated her reason for thanking her. She didn't exactly see it as something to be thanked for, but she didn't object. Seeing his extended hand, she shook it firmly. "I'm Emma. It is a pleasure to meet you as well." There was an attentive look in his eyes that she quickly recognized, and decided to call him out on it. "You seem a bit watchful," she said, wondering why that was so, before stepping out of elevator.
