Personality
Hannah Parker is a woman with an assertive mind, a short temper, and some even say two faces. She knows what she wants and she will never hesitate to get it, even if it means knocking someone else down in order to do so. She tends to live by her own self-made motto, 'do anything to get everything,' and she lives by it seriously. If she wants money, she'll do what it takes to get it, be it knocking others down to get to the top spot in a job, or going 'gold digging.' As long as something is done her way, she is satisfied. And that means that more often than not, she can appear to be two-faced, bossy, and bitchy. She will suck up to those she just met, get them to bend her way, and if they aren't as supple as she likes them to be, she'll take no time to snap them in half.

History
Hannah grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, to a wealthy estate owner and strict businesswoman. She had three siblings, An older brother and sister, and a younger brother. She was brought up on the basis of 'you can get anything you want, but you just have to work for it.' However, Hannah was also often told, 'you gotta do things your way.' She took this with her through her whole life, using 'her way' to fashion how she presented herself and how her life functioned. She was often with spare money until she was in college, so when she was low on money for the first time in her life, and she had just bumped into an up-and-coming musician, Jayme Lockwood, she knew just what to do. She got close to him and eventually got what she had wanted, but she had also gotten something she hadn't asked for. She seemed to actually fall in love with Jayme, something she had specifically always avoided in her life. After they had had their first child, and Hannah had realized what she had gotten into, she acted fast to back out. Bored one night, she set up a 'date' with someone she saw that she had been interested in for a while, and put on a show. After Jayme had seen her little 'mistake,' she took no time to grab their daughter -- with full custody, of course -- and get the hell out. Now she's living on her own again after a few more gold-dug attempts... And what if she's starting to get 'interested' in Jayme again?

So begins...

Her mornings were dull at best. She was a late sleeper and her boyfriend took care of early morning appointments while she took care of late night ones. She woke to an empty bed every morning. She stretched her hand out to feel his spot in the bed. It was cool so he had left about an hour or so ago. She sat up, her hair messy after she had slept. She pulled herself out of bed literally and sat herself in her wheelchair. She rolled over to her closet, sliding an easy outfit on then heading into the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. She went to fixing her hair, pulling her bangs over and then pulling her hair into a loose pony tail to the side.

She pulled out of the bathroom then looked out the window. They lived above their recording company so that Rowan didn't have to travel far. She went into the kitchen, grabbed a granola bar then headed towards the elevator. It was time for her to start working. She went to floor number 3, where Jayme and her met to talk about the morning then switched duties. She clicked the button and when the door opened she rolled out and saw her worst fear. There Jayme was, but he wasn't alone.

A blonde woman had her hands all over him, trying to seduce him and he looked as if it didn't matter. She was on the brink of tears. Another woman, on her boyfriend. They had been dating for long and the slamming of doors was getting to be a lot but she never expected her beloved to stoop so low to actually cheat on her. She was ready to fall out of her wheelchair and just never move again because she felt worthless now. Jayme was the only one that could tell her that she was beautiful.

Jayme Lockwood

~Earlier That Morning~

Jayme awoke with a start from yet another nightmare. As he slowed his breathing and came to, he glanced down at Rowan still fast asleep, curled perfectly into his side. He swallowed hard and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his free arm. He kept having nightmares about his daughter, Hailey. He longed to tell Rowan about how these had been troubling him, but she didn't even know he had a daughter. God, I need a cigarette. Jayme thought to himself as he gingerly moved Rowan off of him and got up. He slipped into his suit pants Rowan had laid out for him to wear today and grabbed his cigarettes and lighter off of the large cherrywood desk against the wall across from their bed. He turned to quietly open the patio door near their closet and slipped outside into the cool, crisp morning air. He could see the sun just beginning to rise as he lit his cigarette and knew it was at least an hour or two before he normally awoke. Jayme also knew he wasn't likely to be going back to sleep anytime soon after that dream.

He kept having these nightmares about his daughter being in trouble and him finding out either too late to be able to do anything or after the fact. Normally he only had these when he was under heavy stress or really missing her and thinking back, things have definitely been stressful lately. He often works harder and more efficiently than needed in hopes to spend more time with Rowan, but usually much of that time ends up being spent by fighting. He took a long pull of his cigarette and thought about how much he longed to have Rowan be in the know about these nightmares. After all, they're a big reason why he's been so on edge lately. He has no means of contacting his daughter because Hannah made a point to change her number and contact information when she left with her four years ago. Besides with all the fighting lately, it would likely just make things worse. Having a seven year old child your significant other knows nothing about isn't exactly something you can just slip into conversation.

Jayme finished his second cigarette and sighed. No, he definitely would not be able to get more sleep now. He finished getting dressed in what Rowan had set out and smiled slightly at the fact that she still did this every night for me despite their rocky relationship as of late. Once he was looking sharp as ever, he paused next to her sleeping form on the bed. She looked so beautiful and happy laying there, thinking he was still next to her. If only he could still make her that happy to be next to him. They used to be so in love and happy and now the business has become priority over that. It was never Jayme's intention and in fact, Rowan still means far more to him than the company, but he has trouble showing that to her. That's why he works so hard, so that maybe eventually the work will be done and they'll have more time together.

"And maybe not," Jayme murmured out loud as he stroked her cheek. Mending their relationship would take far more than a lack of work. He wanted to do whatever it took, the problem was showing that to her. He'd think of something, he had to. Now is not the time, though. He might as well get some work done and e-mails responded to before his morning meetings. He leaned down to gently kiss her goodbye and was on his way.

The day passed at its usual pace, but Jayme was happy for the extra work he was able to put in this morning. It was already after lunch and he was on his way to the third floor conference room where he and Rowan usually met to talk about how the morning went and what she had on her plate for the afternoon and into the evening. When he arrived, he was still twenty minutes early, so he opened his laptop and got to work responding to e-mails and focusing on his answers more than usual so his thoughts wouldn't wander to his nightmares he'd been having. He was focusing so hard, in fact, that he didn't even hear her come into the conference room.

Hannah Parker

Hannah checked her phone, scrolling down lists of contacts, all labeled either 'no good', 'a possibility', or 'set it UP!' as she walked into an empty conference room, not caring to see who was occupying it. She didn't know or care why she was in this big skyscraper-company in New York -- she was pretty sure it was a music label -- she only cared who was in it. Hannah was getting low on money to play around with, and she needed extra to take care of her daughter Hailey, whom she had left home with a neighbor to take care of her, and the South sometimes wasn't the best place to go 'digging', as she called it. So the last time she checked her bank account -- only $500,000, what a drag -- she had booked a flight up to the Big City. She was bound to strike gold up there.

And so now, Hannah was pushing open the heavy glass door to an important looking conference room, one that looked sure to be occupied by the greatest, richest -- and because of that, best looking -- people in the area within the next four hours. That, to Hannah, was a sure short amount of time, and based on the glossed mahogany table; clear, wide windows giving out a perfect view to the buzzing city below; and soundproof, surely expensive walls; Hannah could definitely wait.

She took a seat, still looking at her phone, across the table from someone -- she couldn't care enough to look up, obviously he wasn't big enough to be included in a conference, if her was sitting here all alone -- absorbed in his laptop. After she finished updating her contact list -- now three more had been debunked from 'set it UP!' to 'no good' -- she rummaged in her tote for her handheld mirror. Once she obtained it Hannah flipped it up to see her face and started brushing at her eyebrows, cheeks and lips, perfecting the symmetrical look she had spent the morning on leaning on a hotel sink to get as close to a mirror as possible. Her lips were plumped, and she made a specific mixture of different shades of pink and red to give her cheeks the perfect rosy glow. Her eyes were accented by a warm shade of shadow, and her brown eyeliner winged out perfectly. Her long, thick lashed were curled and had two layers of mascara on each side, and her hair was in an immaculate bun, braided and then twisted, then pinned tightly. To her, she looked glowing and spectacular -- the only thing holding her back from pure symmetry being the beauty mark on the right side of her nose. Looks were the one thing Hannah cared about most, aside from money and of course her daughter -- how else could she have gotten both?

After she had finished touching up and put the mirror back, Hannah finally looked up; and what she saw could have sent her attempts of perfection this morning flying down. There he was, the first love of her life, the last love of her life, the father of her daughter.

Despicable.

Hannah stared at him with a mixture of wonder, disgust and surprise. It was him, the one person who had tripped her up, the only person who had gotten deleted from her long contact list, the only one who had managed to make the rosiness on her cheeks something other than make-up. Hannah blinked and gathered her things up quickly, breaking away from her gaze and standing up, starting to walk towards the door. She wanted to leave without a second glance at him.

But of course, she had to see just how expensive that suit was.

Hannah turned around, to gaze upon him again, and her eyes glazed over as she inspected the suit.

Is that... Westwood?

Suddenly, Hannah became quite interested in catching up with him, a gleam in her eyes, she fully pivoted to face him, put on a show-stopping smile, and let her sweet Southern Belle accent ring out into the sanitized air.

'Jayme Lockwood, is that you?'

Jayme Lockwood

"Jayme Lockwood, is that you?" An all too familiar voice Jayme thought he'd never hear again asked him from startlingly close by. He jumped in his seat and looked up to lock eyes with the beautiful, cruel first love of his life.

"I think you know it is," Jayme replied evenly, though he was feeling a chaotic mix of anger, pain, and confusion deep within him, "Where's Hailey?" He asked, eager to get the topic off of him. What was Hannah doing here? How did she even know where he was? And more importantly, why was she here alone acting like she owned the place?

Jayme had so many questions and so many things he wanted to spew out at her, cruel things and pained things alike. She'd disappeared from his life four years ago after cheating on him and he'd been forbidden contact with her and her daughter ever since. Now suddenly she just appears in a conference room in his company fifteen minutes before Rowan is coming to this very room to meet with him? This couldn't be more strange, or in worse timing.

Hannah smirked at Jayme's question. She wasn't surprised that that was the first thing he had asked. If anything, it was a confirmation that it was, in fact, him sitting in that Westwood suit. She walked casually over and pulled out a chair next to him, sitting down and crossing her legs, leaning towards him in a friendly way.

'Hail is back down South. I'm up here on a business trip,' she lied, 'and she needed to stay down to finish school. She's also going to Summer Camp, and she's quite excited. I'm up here by myself.' She looked him up and down and loved what she saw. Jayme was no longer the college guy she once knew. What she saw now -- was that a Rolex? -- was gorgeous... and she hated to say it, but it made her remember her days with him. She swallowed, pushing the memories down, and smiled generously.

'So how are you doing?' Hannah gave a pretty laugh, 'I see you've definitely gotten along quite well with your music!' It was amazing she remembered that -- she tried to push him out of her thoughts when she left him.

Jayme Lockwood

Jayme watched her flash him her signature smirk and sit across from him with tight composure. He couldn't believe this was happening now of all times and she was telling him about their daughter. It was the first news he'd heard of her since she left when she was just a toddler. Now thinking of her old enough to be in school and go to Summer camp made his heart hurt. She probably didn't have any memories of him at all.

"Does she even know who I am?" Jayme demanded after she went on to ask how he was and commented on his music. Like hell she even wanted to know. If he knew anything, Hannah always had a motive. She was always an expert at one thing: manipulating him and others and he wasn't about to let that happen again. "I've got on fine with my life and career, as you can see. I'm co-owner of this company and I'm in a perfectly happy committed relationship." Jayme added with more venom than he intended to.

He'd played seeing Hannah again over and over in his head in any situation possible but somehow he wasn't prepared for this and he was taken back by how bitter and angry it made him. His relationship wasn't exactly happy right now, but it was committed and Hannah needed to know that. He wanted to stand firm on not letting her back in, but her smile was already chipping away at his hard exterior.

Hannah Parker

A committed and happy relationship...?

Hannah darted her eyes to his left hand, and licked her lips when she she saw no ring.

Not too sure about the happy part...

Hannah flicked her eyes back up to his and smiled. 'Well I'm sure glad you've found yourself a pretty girl. I hope it goes well.' By it, she meant the inevitable break-up between Jayme and his current Damsel, and by well she meant absolutely terrible. She smiled a bit at the thought of the break-up, and beamed at Jayme. It was bound to happen soon, based on the defensive tone in his voice, so she'd better start warming up to him now. Hannah flipped her hair and chuckled at his question about their daughter, like it was a silly thing to ask.

'Of course Hailey knows about you!' She put her hand on his knee, pleasantly feeding a white lie through her just-as-white teeth, 'I tell her about you all the time!' After that short excuse, Hannah was going to stand up and leave Jayme to wondering just what she'd meant by 'it going well' and 'all of the time,' leaving him thinking about HER... But that fabric she was feeling was so high-end... she just had to make sure it was really a real deal suit. She rubbed her thumb on his knee, feeling the fabric.

'Oooh, Jayme! What type of suit is this?'

Jayme Lockwood

Jayme narrowed his eyes at her, not sure he could trust her. She'd given him no reason to, coming out of the woodwork out of nowhere like this, but her addictive personality made him want to talk to her despite Rowan's presence being expected in the room in mere minutes.

"Westwood. What have you told her, eh? If I can't see or talk to her why would you waste your breath?" He challenged, ever aware of her hand on his knee and the way it still shot electricity through him. He'd saw her check for a wedding ring and it made him even more bitter that he'd been too blind and busy to propose to Rowan in the years they've been together. She won't wait for him forever, what's he been waiting for? Certainly not this...right?

Hannah let out a hearty laugh and shook her head.

'Why Jayme, she asks about you all the time! I tell her stories about how we met before she goes to bed, it was so much like a fairytale that she eats it right up!' She moves closer to him, putting more dainty pressure on his knee. 'Almost after every story, she looks at me and says 'I want to have a fairytale prince like that.' What an angel, she adores you!'

Now that Hannah knew that the suit was indeed Westwood, she maybe wanted to stay around for a while today. She certainly had nothing to do, and that super important conference was in four hours. What a long time that was... She flashed her pearly white teeth again leaned closer to him.

'So really Jaime, tell me how your music is going. I'm genuinely curious!' Well, with shoes like that, she certainly was.

Jayme Lockwood

Jayme eased back a bit; he wanted to believe her, even though she very well could be lying. He chose to take her word for it, for now. His heart picked up a beat or two with the increased pressure on his leg and he found himself holding back something new entirely; his self-control.

"It's got me here, hasn't it?" Jayme pointed out, gesturing around the room with a proud smile; he was co-owner of this company, and not just because he was with Rowan. He truly did have talent, and part of him really wanted to rub it in Hannah's face like an over-privileged child. Jayme didn't come from riches, though and both he and Hannah knew he'd come from the ground up, which made him even more proud. He sobered up a little and smiled genuinely at her with a slight sadness in his eyes, "It's been what's brought me where I am. My talent's got me the life I always dreamed of, H...now why are you really here, talking to me? You've avoided me like the plague since you left." If she was really on a business trip, why in the world would she want to see him?"
