Talon's Story

Xylia sat up and looked around. She was in the forest with Talon or Sion no where in sight. She pulled the blanket closer around her as her eyes darted around the clearing they had claimed as their camp for now. She felt her bones pop and creak from sleeping awkwardly on the ground. She got up and with the blanket sit around her, she began to softly call for her companions.

"Tally..? Si-si..?" she whimpered out. She pushed herself against a tree. "Talon... Where are you..? Sion..? Are you out there..?" she sniffled somewhat pathetically. But she was scared. "What if someone caught them..? O-or they're hurt out there..? O-or..." Just then she heard a rustle in the bushes. "H-hello..?"

Talon walked through the forest, a sack of fruit in one hand, and a knife in the other. He was just out to get some food for his little group, and it turned out to be a successful task. Sion was making his way back as well, only he had a net of fish. The two agreed to share the work,so Talon would get the fruit while Sion got the fish. Simple and a quick way to get breakfast. 'I wonder if Xylia woke up yet...?' He thought, suddenly worried. Talon knew Xylia's little..worrying problem, and if she was awake, she was probably rambling on right now. '...' Wings sprang from his back and within seconds he was up in the air, flying..well like a bird. He decided the quicker he got there, the better, and flight would have been the only way. 'Now where is Sion...' Talon wonders, circling the area, his eyes sharp and glistening with focus.

Sion ran quietly through the forest, his feet only making a soft thumping noise. He just came from the river, which ran down near the outskirts of the forest and caught a lot of fish. 'Won't the others be pleased~' He grins, dodging trees with ease. Soon enough the camp came to view and he slow himself down. His furry ears twitched at the noise of whimpering. He blinks, was that Xylia? Quickly, Sion ran up to a bush and quietly cursed when he accidently brushed against the bush. Slowly he emerged from his little hide out and put his hands up in the air in defeat. "Its me Xylia~" He purrs out reassuringly, making his way towards her. "sorry to have worried you~ Talon should be coming any moment now~" He glanced up at the sky, noticing a flying figure above. A soft smile played at his lips. "See.." He adds thoughtfully

Xylia ran at Sion, her little fists pounding at his chest. "You stupid cat dog thing..." she rubbed her eyes and sniffled. "I was worried and you scared me..." she looked up and yelled. "Talon! Get down here right now!" she went back to her blanket, folded it up and stuck it back into the bag. "I'm so mad at you two right now... I was worried, you jerks..! Why didn't you write me a note or something..? Or one stay behind..?" she huffed before her stomach growled loudly and something hit to forest floor.

"Huh..? What was that..?" She ignored the two other Anima to follow the noise. She spotted a boy laying on the leaf litter. He was bleeding. "Sion! Talon! Come here quick! We have to help him! Please!" she knelt beside him and began looking him over.

Sion chuckles at the girl's reaction. This is one of the many things he enjoys about Xylia, her cute yet bossy-like nature. "Sorry Sorry It was Talons Idea, not mine~" He smirks, and added. "Besides who knows how to write between the two of us. I know talon doesnt, nor Do I." Sion made his way to a tall tree, and began to tie the net around the branch, letting it hang. "Sion! Talon! Come here quick! We have to help him! Please!" "Hm..?" The Anima turned towards Xylia curiously. "Him..?" HE tightened the rope, and walked cautiously over, wondering what she was talking about.

"Talon! Get down here right now!" Talon's keen ears caught the yelling of the girl. HE just snorts, not bothering to listen to her frantic command. He had to make sure the area was clear.. So he circled the area once more, and when he arrived to the same exact spot, he noticed Sion and Xylia focusing on something. 'Government people?!' He wonders, diving down, and landing beside Xylia his wing outstretch to protect her from...whoever it was. "Like Hell I'll let him kill you Xylia.." He mutters, listening to her whimpering and begging. Talon began to examine the anima before him. 'A reptile...' He took note of his claws and spikes, glad he came in time. Even if he was hurt, he can still kill. "Now, who are you..." Talon growled out. Rumors said that foolish Anima were helping some part of the government, so they can be saved...so its better safe then sorry.

Sion blinks, noticing Talon diving in, stretching his wing protectively around Xylia. A little grin came to his face, and he chuckles. "Protective now are we..?" He placed a hand on his shoulder, before looking down at the male. Even though, Sion's face shined with joy and excitement, he was secretly worried. This man was hurt badly and he needed some medical attention. Squeezing Talon's shoulder, he spoke. "Talon Its alright, I doubt that this man, no any man, could hurt someone as cute as Xylia..." Sion grins, elbowing him gently. "Besides we both are here, so what can go wrong~?" Talon sighs at his partner's childish nature, and peers at the cat/dog thing. "Anything.." Was his calm reply, before he slowly let down his wing, waiting for an answer.

"X-Xylia..." she said and before his eyes she grew gills and a tail "I-I'm an Anima just like you so please don't kill me..!" Drakk wasn't sure what to think about this, he knew that they had to be other people like him, otherwise the hunters wouldn't exist but even so the he can't be completely sure that the girl posed no danger to him.
Before deciding what to do two more guys showed up, one winged and with a clearly hostile attitude and the one of a strange breed on the other hand seemed to smile, both were close to the terrified girl, "Now, who are you ..." asked the bird-like Anima and then exchange a word with the smiling boy, words that Drakk couldn't hear. At least now he was sure that they weren't from the government otherwise they would have attacked without asking anything, but he still didn't like the situation, even if they weren't from the government that wouldn't guarantee that they weren't planning attack him, but because of his injury he had no way to win over the group or even flee from them so he choose to think that they weren't a threat, "You shouldn't show these, the world isn't a friendly place for people like us," he said, returning to human form as he pressed the wound on his chest to stop the bleeding "I'm Drakk, Now you can go, don't worry about me" he has decided to rest a bit before searching for a way to treat the injury, his physical condition was on the limit, if he tried to do something now he'll just end passing out again.

"You shouldn't show these, the world isn't a friendly place for people like us," he said, returning to human form as he pressed the wound on his chest to stop the bleeding "I'm Drakk, Now you can go, don't worry about me"

Xylia stood up and very carefully walked over to Drakk, her Anima retracting. "I can't... I won't leave a fellow Anima bleeding..." she carefully took out a roll of bandages and slowly began wrapping his wounds. "You can rest with us until you're healed... But we're all being hunted around here... We need to stick together..." she showed a random bout of courage and she even surprised herself. But she couldn't leave him. Not in this state. When she finished, she smiled shyly at him. "You know I'm Xylia, this is Talon and Sion... We're all traveling together..."

"I can't... I won't leave a fellow Anima bleeding..." she carefully took out a roll of bandages and slowly began wrapping his wounds. "You can rest with us until you're healed... But we're all being hunted around here... We need to stick together..." she showed a random bout of courage and she even surprised herself. But she couldn't leave him. Not in this state. When she finished, she smiled shyly at him. "You know I'm Xylia, this is Talon and Sion... We're all traveling together..."

Sion's ears twitched at her little speech, he grins. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he purrs. "Aww, Xylia is so cute when she is so caring..and brave" He chuckles, resting his head on her shoulder. "I agree with her though, its best that we Anima stick together...right Talon?" He looks up and met up with a heated glare, literally screaming "Stay-away-from-here". Sion rolled his eyes, before letting go of the little girl. Talon then stares at the man with an unreadable expression. He remained quiet for a second, taking in the possibilities of how bad the idea was. He sighs heavily. "..." The bird anima took out an apple from his sack, and swiftly threw it towards the man. "Fine...I agree with Xylia..." Talon scanned the new member once more. "Anyways, Sion start a fire, Im going to do look out for a bit..." He turns his attention towards Xylia, giving off a rare smile. "Xylia look after Drakk." Talon pats her head gently, before giving a knowing look at Sion and a warning towards Drakk. Soon his wings opened wide, and he was up in the air, circling the area for any intruders.

Sion salutes playfully, understanding Talon's look well. 'Look after Xylia.'
"Roger~" He smiles, and quickly jumped to his feet. "I hope you two like fish!" He spoke, leaving no room for argument as he started a small fire. Sions eyes narrowed in thought. Starting a fire might be a risk, seeing how it might give away their position to nearing people. But then again, he didnt really care! 'I guess ill make a small one' He hums, picking at the starting fire.

The girl made him recalled vaguely the young woman who was kind to him in his hometown so didnt make any attempt to reject the treatment "Although I appreciate it your concern this is unnecessary" he said with the intention of turn down the offer although it was true that his wound would never heal if he moves too much, his past experiencies taught him to trust no one, no matter if they were of the same kind "If you too are being hunted then in my condition I'll only will be a burden" Drakk said without taking the apple, one of his principles was found his own food and he didn't want to cause problems for the person who helped him.
He tried to get up but his legs failed so he remained seated on the floor, "I'll stay in this forest a few days if you think of some way in what I can repay you let me know"

Xylia let Sion and Talon argue or whatever. It was a common occurrence in her life now. When Talon patted her head and smiled, she did the same in return. Then she turned to Drakk, who was talking.

"If you too are being hunted then in my condition I'll only will be a burden"

"I'll stay in this forest a few days if you think of some way in what I can repay you let me know"

She frowned and turned a very stern stare at him. "There is and that's accepting my help. Our help. Now eat that apple or I'll make you..!" she said, making little fists and frowning, though it looked more like a pout. "I'm helping you cause I wanna, not cause we're all being hunted. I'm not a cruel person, you know..." she took the apple and put in his hands. "Please, eat something... It'd make me feel better knowing you made it out with us against your will than not at all..." she smiled softly again and went to help Sion with the fish.

Sion hums a little tune, while he cooks the fish he just caught. The smell of fish would soon surround the area, causing Sion to purr in delight. He absolutely loved fish, no matter on what kind, he would eat it. The sound of foot steps came to his ears, and he turns to see Xylia. He blinks. "Wheres the reptile?" He asked curiously, wondering what could have happened between the two. As he waited for her answer, he grabbed a cooked fish which was stabbed with a stick, and took a bite. He chewed slowly, before nodding pleased. "Here try some~" Sion urged, holding out a piece of fish.

Talon hovered for awhile, staring at the old city which was at the outskirts of the forest. He considered traveling there with Xylia and Sion, in disguise of course, and reside there until any problems arise. It may even come to be a good temporary home, maybe even permanent. 'I doubt it..' He sighs, before folding his wings, and dived down to the ground below. No one was around, well none that seemed worth while. As he made his way to the camp, he stops suddenly, and looks over his shoulder. Nothing "...hm.." Talon walked quickly to the camp, before jumping onto a tree branch to keep watch.

"Wheres the reptile?"

"Sion, he has a name, it's Drakk, please use it. And I just hope he eats... I tried..." she looked down and sighed before shaking her head. "But I did alot for him so maybe he'll get better..!" she nodded, assuring herself. She sat beside Sion, pulling the blanket to her pale skin. She was reaching for an apple when she had a piece of fish in her face.

"Here try some~"

"Alright." she took the piece and popped it into her mouth. "Mm~ That's good! Thank you-"

"What do you mean you just wanted food?! You ate less than an hour ago! I swear to god, you are always hungry! What is your problem?"

Xylia quickly ducked behind Sion, the angry exclamation had scared her witless. "W-wah!" she curled up under the blanket before peeking out. She relaxed a bit when she saw two boys, one with wings and one with cat ears and tail. "S-Sion... I-Invite them over for me, please..?" she tugged on her protector's shirt, her voice shaking with fresh fear. Her breath still came out in uneven pants as she tried to calm her scared heart.

"Sion, he has a name, it's Drakk, please use it. And I just hope he eats... I tried..." she looked down and sighed before shaking her head. "But I did alot for him so maybe he'll get better..!" she nodded, assuring herself.

"Alright." she took the piece and popped it into her mouth. "Mm~ That's good! Thank you-"

Sion smiles softly watching her chew on the piece of fish. "Well I assume he can care for himself...but at least you tried~" He ruffles her hair up a bit, but stopped at a sudden noise in the distance.

"What do you mean you just wanted food?! You ate less than an hour ago! I swear to god, you are always hungry! What is your problem?"

"Hm..?" He hums, watching Xylia duck in fear, a little grin played at his lips. He rested a hand on her person in reassurance. "S-Sion... I-Invite them over for me, please..?"
"Who's there!?" He roared and then saw that Xylia was close to Sion, he diverted his gaze a little embarrassed but he stood firm this time looking in the direction of the two unknown individuals. Sion merely blinks, before his grin reached ear to ear. "Heh.." He chuckles, peering at Drakk with a strange, teasing look. " protective are we..?~ Well-" The trees shook a bit. A nervous smile replaced his care-free grin. "Actually I think Talon got it..." As if on cue, Talon jumped from a high tree branch, and landed near the two strangers.

Talon's eyes narrowed at the sight of the newcomers. Where were they all coming from?! He wonders, but almost fell at Xylia's innocent request. 'She is far too naive..' He sighs, jumping down to the floor below. He stood and scanned the two new Anima, checking for any weapons or any danger at all. None in sight. "......." He ran his fingers through his hair in thought, before sighing once more. Talon stares at them and merely points towards the fire. "Have some..." He said quietly, surprised that he actually approved of Xylia's request. First Drakk now these two. He heard Sion laugh hysterically, "Xylia really got you on a leash or should I say cage!" Talon cringed in irritation, before sending a heated glare towards Sion.

"Who's there!?" Roared an Anima. He looked like a reptile of some sort, but Azul couldn't be sure. He also noticed the fact that his Anima was out, so he jumped up quickly, using his wings as a shield from Nyeusi. Nyeusi, however, had other plans and jumped on Azul's back, getting his claws out. "Nyeusi, get off. That hurts." he said calmly as Nyeusi's claws started sinking into Azul's shoulders. Nyeusi laughed awkwardly and apologised.

 As Azul heard some wings from above, he folded his wings slowly, noticing his brother's carefree attitude. Nyeusi's tail swayed slightly as his ears twitched. "Have some..." said the bird Anima, though rather quietly. Azul glanced around silently, before shaking his head. Nyeusi, however, cheered and started walking.

"Nyeusi! You just ate! Stop taking others' food when you don't need it!"

"But Azulli!" Nyeusi whined, before suddenly getting struck with an idea. "Please?"

Azul's eyes flickered something, nostalgia maybe, as he kept quiet. Nyeusi cheered again, taking a smaller bit off food while Azul sat next to him quietly, biting his lip.

Xylia peeked at their new camp mates over Sion's shoulder before turning to Drakk. "Thank you, Drakk... I knew they posed no threat but the yelling scared me..." Tugging Sion with her as protection she smiled shyly at the other Anima. "H-hi... I'm Xylia... This is Sion... The bird in the tree is Talon... That's Drakk over there... Sorry, you just startled me, that's all..." she tugged on her blanket a bit before holding out a hand. "What's your names..?" Her tail curled and uncurled around Sion's leg, a sign that she was alright with the current situation and that both Talon and Sion could calm down and relax.

Talon was surprised seeing how their was another Bird Anima. 'Blue wings...Blue jay?' He guessed, watching the amusing sight before him. It reminded him of someone. "hm.." He made his way to the fire, and sat cross-legged near Sion and Xylia. "..." Talon then peers at Xylia with a depressed look, and sighs. He always knew that Xylia had a strange power, she was like a magnet to all people, make it the cruel or even the wicked. But he never expected it to be this powerful. "oh well.." He mumbles, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. Though he unnoticeable scooted near Xylia, just to reassure himself. Maybe he was a tinsy winsy more protective then he should be, but Xylia was his first friend, so he couldnt help it. And he would never admit, but he had feelings for her as well. Feeling frustrated with himself, he grabs a nearby apple, and begins to chomp down on it slowly.

Sion glanced down at her tail, and got the message quickly. "Anything Startles her." He adds on, a sly smile forming on his lips. "Though I find it awfully cute, and I don't mind sharing~" He purrs, eyeing every male there, including Talon. The Golden Eagle Anima scoffs, and stares him down. "It sounds like your saying she's yours.." Sion shrugs,and grins. "No need to be jealous Talon, you can be mine too~" Talon's face twisted in disgust. "Just no..." Sion pouts but quickly brightens up. "Well at least Xylia still likes me..right?" He drawls out in a purr, as he wraps his arms around her shoulders. When he does so, he looks at each and everyone of the strangers, but focused on a Cat Anima. Sion's eyes twinkled with interest. 'Someone the same as me, eh...? Oh and talon too~ This might be funnier then I expected..' He looks at Azul noticing how he didnt dig in. "Help yourself." Sion purrs, nodding his head towards the fish suggestively. "We have plenty more."

Talon glares, before sighing. He looks up at the three, Drakk, Azul, and Nyesui. "Are You running from the government as well...?" He asked calmly, not expecting them to answer, his eyes darted from one person to the next. People would find his eyes and appearance quite intimidating, though he assumed these three were different. They were Anima after all, and they had reasons why they became one. Their past probably hardened them, just like it did to him.

"H-hi... I'm Xylia... This is Sion... The bird in the tree is Talon... That's Drakk over there... Sorry, you just startled me, that's all..." said the girl- Xylia. She seemed to be at ease with them now. That was good. Azul didn't really want to be on anyone's blacklist. "What's your names..?" she said, and Nyeusi's ears perked up. "I'm Nyeusi! He's Azul, but you can call him Azulli!" he said excitedly, turning to his brother.

"No. No, I'm sorry, you may not." he said quietly, almost inaudibly, before searching through the satchel slung over his shoulder, apparently searching for something. Nyeusi sighed and made a face at his brother, but Azul didn't miss a thing and glared at Nyeusi slightly before returning to his search with a small smile on his face.

The cat, or dog, spoke. His name was Sion, apparently. "Help yourself. We have plenty more." Azul shook his head and Nyeusi jumped on his brother, pulling his cheeks. Hard. "He's just being overly polite and all that." Azul winced but continued to stare at his younger brother. "Come on, eat! Nyeusi said, drawing out his words for emphasis. He looked at Azul, who had an annoyed look on his face. "You used to be fun." Nyeusi said, before getting cut off.

"You used to be tolerable." Azul said, setting his brother into a pout. Azul ruffled his hair. "I'm joking. You've never been tolerable." he said simply, getting a string of complaints from Nyeusi as he tried to claw at his brother. However, Azul kept him at a safe distance. Azul grinned, probably for the first time that day. "Aww, the little kittykins is upset!" he teased, earning himself a deep scratch along his collarbone. Nyeusi looked instantly regretful, but Azul laughed even more, quickly treating the wound with a small pack of supplied in his bag.

"Please eat something." Nyeusi said finally, his tail swishing behind him, showing he was slightly angry. Azul frowned, considering his options, before picking up a fish and taking a bite. 'There! Now he won't be in such a bad mood for the rest of the day!' Nyeusi thought, smiling blissfully.

Xylia huffed at Talon and Sion. "Both of you stop. You two fight like two little kids... Brothers even..." she continued eating her fish, watching the two brothers she had met interact. It was a bit like Si-si and Tally but they didn't threaten each other daily. She began to clean around the camp and smiled at all her companions. "I'm gonna go for a swim in a nearby lake..." she told them, laying her blanket on her pack and began towards the small lake, more pond, she saw earlier when she helped Drakk. She hummed softly as she walked, her ears picking up on the others talking at camp.

Then she heard footsteps, very heavy footsteps, not footsteps an Anima would make. She froze and looked around. She spotted the glint of metal and took off back towards the camp, looking over her shoulder a points. She quickly ran to Talon and curled up in his lap. "I... I think there are hunters... Out there..." she panted out, her face buried in his shirt. "I... I was walking and I saw the metal glint, Tally... They've found us, or at least they're close enough to..."

"They aren't hunters, if they were they would already be over us" Drakk speak watching the group gathered around the fire "They probably are scouts, small fry, disposable pawns. They send them to places were could have some +Anima and if they lose contact with them to send real ones" he devoured the apple that still had in his hand and walked in the same direction from where the girl returned "At least now I know how to repay the favor that I owe you" looked at Xylia "You should leave this place quickly, the real hunters will be here in an hour or two at most" he said and began to run, he saw three men in suits not far from where were the others, Drakk release his +Anima and swooped on them holding one with both hands and hitting the others with his tail, he continued to run while the struggling human was hurting himself with the spikes that came out of Drakk's body and stopped at what appeared to be a clear the sound told him that there was a river close so here was perfect, he threw the man who was unconscious or something worse and began to roar with all his strength, He didn't know how many men the government had in the woods so his idea was to attract them to clear and afeter beating some of them run away using the current of the river before the real hunters arrive.

It wasn't the smarter plan but it should work, after all, what are the chances that in this small forest were more than 6 +Anima?

Lexia went over to the edge with Embel and looked around she then spotted Chael and the guy from earlier and pointed to them "lo..ok Embel th...their rig..right th...there" she said. Then she heard some noises twitching her ears a little, getting distracted by the noise, she went into the forest looking around. She then heard a loud roar sound and Lexi's eyes went wide. She looked over to Embel still having the girl in her line of sight and walked a bit further into the forest. She saw the light from a fire nearby and twitched her ears walking a little closer then hid behind a tree. Peaking out from the tree she saw what looked like to her a few other animas, a couple of them with wings like Embel. She sniffed and could smell the food as she was going to leave to tell Embel she stepped on a brach which made a loud snapping sound. She froze "o..oh nnn..no".
