"Shall we get moving then, my body guards..?" she asked in a quieter, softer voice than her normal one. "I must get to a town before sunset, you two know this..."
Sion stares, surprised at the change, before nodding, his normal cheerful expression gone, and replaced with one more serious and calm. A kind smile plays at his lips and he nods. "Of course, How could we forget." Sion replied "obviously" "We are your body guards after all, dont you agree...?" He looks at the brunette who still holds his ever so serious expression. Yet he nods. "Yes, now lets hurry, the town is close by..." He looked around and quickened his pace, watching as the town got closer and closer.
Talon adjusted the sack and shook it a bit, hearing the sound of coins hitting one another. They defiantly got money so not a problem on a place to stay. Though...they might get their way with things... Sion sighs happily. "The sound of money, music to my ears~" He did an imitation of evil laughter, which was very quiet, yet his power hungry face was quite amusement. Talon merely elbowed his hips, and within seconds did he go back to composure. Stepping near the town, people started to stare, and two officers came towards them suspiciously. "Whats your business here...?"
Talon stepped near Xylia, and so did Sion. "We are merely traveling, and decided to rest for the night..." He peers around, and Sion stepped in. "We have been traveling for months because of this girls pilgrimage in training, and we were hired to serve her. So please let us stay for a while..." Sion's voice was gently and kind, easily persuading the two men. The officers scanned them once more before waving them off. "Fine, but if there is any commotion for the three of you, or the bit of trouble...-" The officers rang his finger across his neck as a warning, before walking off.
Sion watched amused. "Scary one isnt he..." He murmurs to the two, and shrugs. "Well lets go find a place to stay..." Talon nods, and looks around spotting a hotel. "there..."
"And it seems you underestimate me," the girl hissed at Drakk, hairs raising on her tail. "I am not some plump, fuzzy house-cat," she practically spat the last word, but her anger was more directed to the term itself rather than at Drakk. "I've survived this long, what makes you think I have not encountered those flea bags before? And no matter that they blend into the environment as animals do. If you have not noticed," she growled "we are animals! do you not know the manners of your own kind?"
"My nose doesn't improve much with my Anima so I don't care about those things, I got rid of it just in case, if you care so much you shouldn't go leaving traces of food and also unless I'm mistaken you wanted to stay here, in the forest hunters have caught you easily."
Karina narrowed her eyes, waving an arm for emphasis. "And you say I underestimate the Hunters? Just because you have incompetent senses does not mean they don't. You need to think in their shoes." Goodness, what an odd expression, she paused to muse again, wondering why people wore shoes so much. She shook that off, scoffing lightly at his comment. "They will not care much for scrap meal remains. Blood, however, is very strong. Good lead. If you had half a nose, you would know that." She finished the last sentence very quietly, watching the forest in front of them for a while until Drakk spoke again.
"I vote for speed the things, you can start running if you want, but keep in mind that I'm slower than you."
She sighed softly, and thought to herself Kari, Kari, do not get your tail in a knot. You may yet need this boy beside you, and he you. When she spoke again, her past annoyance had seemed to mostly subside.
"No, I will stay with you. You do not know how to get to the Town, do you not?" She looked on through the trees ahead, blinking to adjust her vision as it got steadily darker. If they could but speed up just a little more...
To keep herself busy, Karina turned to the nearest tree and scampered up it, easily weaving herself between the branches and if close enough, leaping from branch to branch to continue into the next tree, hair flowing behind her and tail flicking to and fro to keep her balanced. All the while keeping an eye on Drakk below.
When Talon found the hotel, she sighed almost quietly. She hated sleeping indoors. She hated indoor in general. But she had to stay in character. "That works..." she whispered to him as more people watched them. Xylia felt the stares, her worry increasing. "Come..." she told them, before she practically bolted into the lobby of the hotel, where there weren't as many people. Her heart rate began to slow back down to normal as she waited for the boys to get their room.
