a character in “Monster Daze!”, as played by NewKidOnTheBlock

Description

Name: K'kilk Zah'torak Ka'krin
Nicknames: K
Age: Near the time of Kan'rak [Earth-age unknown; maturity level is at that of a young adult]
Race: Kan'naorian [an alien race from amongst the stars, buglike in shape and goals]
Position: Suitor

Build: K'kilk, like all Kan'naorians, is what humans would call "bug-like" in shape. His entire body is covered in what is currently a dull mud-brown exoskeleton, his four claw-like arms used like human hands, though not as supple. Each 'hand' has a total of four digits, which is in the nature of the human hand excluding the pinky. His head is relative in size to his slim body, his mouth sectioned into an "X", his eyes black and beady.
Hair Color: N/a, although his still-young form is a dull mud-brown, his hard exoskeleton slightly fuzzy to the touch. However, as soon as he approaches into Kan'rak, he will molt this skin to have an exoskeleton that his a beautiful black or dark violet color and that is slick to the touch.
-Type: n/a
-Length: n/a
Eyes: Black and beady, like that of an insect
Other: As explained in [History], due to years of nutritional deficiency, his exoskeleton is softer than it should be, and, along with being slightly fuzzy [at the present], it also has a much more flesh-like feel to it.

Sexuality: Hetrosexual
Occupation: K'kal'kilian Va'horan [that is, his race's version of a scientist]

Likes: Science, to experiment, to learn about new things and cultural aspects, and surprisingly enough, Earthlings. And oranges.
Dislikes: the racism put against him, being misunderstood, not understanding. And not having oranges.

Fears: failing his mission to save his race; never discovering the cause of the human ailment 'love' that fascinates him so.

Goals: save his race, by whatever means necessary...

Favorite-
Food: Oranges [Vitamin C, a nutrient not found on what had been his own planet, has had an addicting effect on him, and he has therefore grown addicted to the Earth-fruit "orange".]
Color: Black/Dark Violets
Animal: All Earthling creatures fascinate K'klik

Least Favorite-
Food: N/a; though prefers to keep away from rotten or spoiled things
Color: Brown [reminds him that he is not yet in Kan'rak]
Animal: Spider [reminds him too much of an old Kan'naorian tale to frighten Pupa.]

Left or Right Handed: Quadambidextrious [use of all four non-walking appendages equally]

Personality: K'kilk is a creature of intense intelligence and curiosity. He is normally very scientific and calculating, and doesn't understand the meaning of "fun", "happiness", or "love", though he is quite willing to learn. His ethics, though existent, are very different than that of humans, and therefore makes him a large misunderstanding to races of all kinds. He is often confused by earthling technology and culture.

History: K'kilk's race is dying, their planet destroyed centuries ago. In accord to this, the planet's nutrient base of iron was depleted, forcing them to exodus from their planet to find another that can supply this base need for the Kan'naorians. But years of iron deficiency have taken their toll on them; even if they are to find iron, their larvae have been growing weaker and weaker...soon, the Kan'naorians would not be able to multiply. This is where K'kilk comes in: not only to find out a steady source of iron, but to find alternative way to either strengthen the larvae or reproduce so that the Kan'naorians can live forevermore.

So begins...

A clicking noise came from the forest, K'klik observing the going-ons of the two humanoids. Their scent patterns were very similar, and so it was apparent that the two were of the same sex. But they were different, too. One had a pair of 'wings' while the other did not. The Winged One additionally carried a scent of a bio-organic engine. Peculiar. The Unwinged One...her scent was of...oranges? K'klik's mouth salivated a little, the scent reminding him of the delicious, addicting Earth-fruit.

Deciding not to waste the opportunity, K'klik came out of the forest onto the path, giving out a noise of salutations, which to the mortal ear would sound very much like the clicking of a beetle, but with an emotion of friendliness set behind it. His intentions were to make contact with the creatures and attempt to communicate; he had learned several languages of the Earthlings, but had never had the opportunity to attempt actual communication.

"H...hello!" The word was heavily accented by a clicking undertone, again said with much mustered friendliness and enthusiasm. Asking if he was correct in his greeting, he added, "'Hello'...isk good?"

Momo was confused by the girl's reaction. Her face was burning red, goose bumps apparent as they dotted her delicate skin. She flutter's her wings in curiosity, a few soft, pink feathers falling loose and floating to the grassy ground below. Folding her wings back, they were much more compact now, and out of the way of sight. Normally, Momo would have asked the girl if she was in some sort of distress, but she figured the reason for such behavior was simply for the fact that she was lost...After a few more moments of silent thinking, Momo parts her lips to speak. "I guess you could come with me...But it's dangerous...you'll have to stay close...I walk through all the towns around here and spend my days protecting the creatures that live there...It's my job...and sometimes it gets a bit hairy...Think you can handle that?..." Momo asks, quizzically, hoping the girl was fully prepared.

It was at that moment a strange clicking sound could be heard. In surprise, a large mechanical gun transformed, splitting from the arm of her armor, and seperating off so that she could hold it in her hands. Quickly spinning to face the creature, Momo points the gun towards it, the metal shining against the beaming rays of sun from above. Her eyes were now a deep red color, strange computer like 1's and 0's crossing the surface of them, as if she were calculating in her head. As her eyes gazed over the alien-like creature, though, her body, once tense, soon relaxed. Momo threw the gun up, and it transformed back into it's normal appearance, with loud metal slapping against metal, as it clicked back into place on her arm. "K'kilk Zah'torak..." Momo says, adding a little of his own language's accent to it.

Being that Momo was mostly a mechanical being, she was able to store all of her memories, like a filing cabinet. She could access any which one she pleased, and therefor, names and other information was not hard to recall. This also made it easy to memorize other languages. She had seen this creature only a few times before, and knew at once he was not a threat. Being that her job was to protect the innocent, she had memorized all of their names, being sure to know which was friend, and which was foe. "You shouldn't sneak up on me like that...What are you doing here?.." She asks, curious to know as to why he was not in his town.

Kotone yelped and flushed darker when part of Momo's arm armor became a very scary looking gun. Shi-shi had already retreated back into the bag, shaking like a leaf. She herself was scared but not of Momo, she was scared of what made Momo react like that.

When a bug like creature walked over, she notice he didn't look evil or bad. Sure, he was a bug, but Kotone liked bugs, often keeping a small beetle or butterfly as a temporary pet. So when Momo's gun became armor again, she felt her body relax. She didn't want to see someone get hurt, she wasn't that kind of person.

"Momo-chan?" She asked hesitantly, not sure if the winged robot would turn on her. "Who is this?" She didn't bother with the name she had heard the other girl say. She didn't want to offend the alien creature in front of her, especially if he was a suitor of hers. That happened too often and she would feel a bit hurt by it, as if the person actually was real. But here, they were. And could, if they wanted to, attack her.

K'klik gave a small hiss at the Angeloid as she pointed the gun at him, obviously not amused. He remembered the scent now; the biomachine had claimed its mission to be that of protection of innocent creatures. Distaste still in his voice at being threatened, he spake in his native tongue to answer the Winged One Momo. I am here as I am everywhere--to observe, to study. The language was composed entirely of different ranges of clicking sounds and noises, and had a slight melodic tone to it. Noting the confusion of the Orange-smelling Unwinged One, he attempted to speak in the human language. He had difficulty translating his meaning, and struggled to speak it, his clicking accent intruding at points.

"Kkome...to...to see."

Hearing the Unwinged One's question, he again struggled to communicate. He pointed to himself. "Isk K'klik." The name was in the native tongue of his, which he realized would be impossible for the Earthling to replicate. "Kkall 'K'klik'." He pronounced it 'Keh-click'. "Or 'K'. K gkood also."

He then pointed toward the Unwinged One. "Who isk you?"

Kotone smiled at K'kilk. She pointed to herself. "I'm Kotone Yukimura! My friends call me Tone!" She pulled out the small deer and held him out. "This is Shi-shi! He's a stuffed animal." She walked over to him and held her hand out. "Let's be good friends, m'kay?" She giggled while Shi-shi watched both creatures with the utmost distrust. He didn't like the way the brown one watched his owner.

Then she turned to Momo. "I'd love to come with you, but I'm very tired... I traveled quite a bit to get here. Plus it's getting dark around here..." She murmured, pulling the white doll closer to her chest. It wasn't that she didn't like the dark, just the things that lived it. She looked around nervously. She really didn't like these forests. They didn't seem right at all. She subconsciously scooted closer to both K and Momo. She wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Momo blinks, taking the time to translate his native tongue into her own language. What he said wasn't much of a surprise. His type was always worried about science. that was what they always seemed to be doing. If they were walking down a road, it was for science. If they were eating something, it was for science...She didn't often know why she bothered to ask when, most likely, she knew what the answer was...Hearing the gentle, shaky voice behind her, Momo remembered suddenly that the girl was still there. In her mode of protection, she had forgotten...Momo turns towards her, in a more friendly manner, with a soft smile. "Oh...this is just one of the many scientists around here...I mistook him for a threat..." She explains, watching as they introduced themselves to one another.

When Kotone spoke of being tired, Momo realized the girl may need some place to sleep for the night. She didn't really have a house, because she simply traveled around. Not only that, but being mechanical, she had no need for sleep, being that her brain received the energy it needed with the mechanical parts of her body. But, still being human in a way, she did need to eat. So, Momo turns towards K, tilting her head slightly as strands of pink hair fall over one of her hazel eyes. "K...I have no shelter for this girl...She seems scared...take her to your home and let her rest there, would you?..." She asks, in his language. To Kotone, it simply sounded as various clicks and hums.

Kotone would be able to rest there, hopefully, if K wasn't to loud with his experiments. While she did so, Momo would do her rounds, and come to check up on her later in the night....

K'klik gave a blink as well, looking to the Earthing, then to the Angeloid. He thought for a moment, then gave a nod. Yes, that should be no problem. K looked to Kotone, giving a moment to observe. He wasn't sure how this Earthling would react to the Kan'naorians, and how they would react to her, but it seemed that she did not mind him. If anything, she seemed as curious about him as he was to her. He doubted there would be a problem.

"You kkome to home." K gave a nod to Kotone, inwardly cursing his inability to be proficient in speaking the Earthling language. He wasn't trying to make a command, nor did realize that the sentence he spoke might have seemed that way. He continued, nonetheless, further clarifying that it was more of a request. "Kan'naorian, isk kkuriousk. Wekkome you."

Kotone thought about what Momo said, which didn't sound like English or any other language she knew. Frowning slightly, she wanted to know what was being said. She really didn't like being left out. It happened too often in the real world. But before she could ask what either was saying, K began talking to her.

"You are curious about me? I'm honored. No one has ever taken an interest in me. I'd also like to know more about your kind, if that's okay, I mean..." The last part was muttered but she was sure both could hear her perfectly. But she really did want to learn more. Maybe even learn a couple words in her language. Shaking herself from those thoughts, she walked closer to K and smiled.

"Lead the way? I tend to get lost easy..." She muttered, wringing her hands and looking down. It was true, she had no sense of direction whatsoever. She got lost going down a straight hallway once. She also kind of wanted an excuse to hold someone's hand. The forest was still really scary and she defiantly did not want to get lost here. No telling who- or what- would find her and what it would do to her.

K gave a clicking noise, but it sounded like that of a lulling purr--as if a cat's purr were translated to a click. "Isk okay." He wondered what she meant about others not taking interest--it did not cross his mind that she meant in the stead of potential Mates. He did not wonder long, though. "Kan'naorian likke kkuriousk. Kkotone...kkurious...isk good." K mentally used the name of the Eternal Queen in vain at his inability to speak the language of the Earthling clearly, adding several curses for good measure.

Looking to the horizon, K saw that the sun indeed was low. Nighttime was coming. K gave another noise, this one sounding like the protective worry of a dog's growl. "Sun isk not yellow. Dark kkome." He made a motion, which was to point out his point, but could have very easily been mistaking as offering his 'hand'. "Dark isk not good out of Kan'vara. Kkome. We go."

Kotone smiled at K. He seemed very nice, even through the apparent language barrier. It soothed her, made her feel safe. She felt much safer after the protective growl though and slid next the the alien. "Let's get out of here then. I really don't like these forests." She muttered, carefully grasping his "hand" in her own. She blushed slightly, something she had been doing a lot of lately. She hoped that K didn't mind. She had never really held anyone's hand before so she was hesitant about even reaching out and grabbing it.

"It's so I don't get lost... U-unless you don't like it! T-then you c-can let go..." she stuttered out, looking down at the ground. When she said no one had taken any interest in her, she meant it. At school or her old house, no one bothered to look at her. She would rather been bullied than ignored. At least then she knew that she was acknowledged.

K was a bit surprised at the sudden motion to come closer to him and grab the extended 'hand'. He did not understand, giving a blink to her explanation. He gave a nod, allowing it to sink in; it made sense. It was certainly a way to not get lost if you were in physical contact with your guide. "Isk good." He wondered why she looked to the the ground, her face becoming redder. He wasn't exactly sure why, and was a bit worried. Was she sick? "Isk you good?" With his other hand on the same side, he motioned her reddened cheeks. "You red...isk sikk?"

He gave a moment for thought. If she was indeed sick, it could not be due to him. She had just met him, and therefore any sickness transverse between them would take more time to develop. He additionally doubted that anything she had he could catch, though the Kan'naorians could possibly find a way to help her heal. It would certainly be a good opportunity to study the Earthling...

In either case, sickness or not, he saw as the sun sped in its decent, realizing that it would be faster for him to carry her. Without so much as a thought to ask, he scooped her up in a pair of his arms, carrying her bridal style. "K kkarry. Isk faskter." He set off toward a direction of the forest, a mixture of scents and instinct guiding him toward his home.

Cooincidentaly, or perhaps it was fate or perhaps it was the programming of the game none of them but Kotone were aware of, Cynreial son of Cintorel was walking through the forest on a well-traveled deerpath. His robes seemed entirely unsuited for his current occupation of traveling bard and historian. They were rich and fragile looking and seemed as though they would become caught on every branch passed by. However, this was not the case, they were made of a strong elvish fabric that slid harmlessly past branches and flowed just so, they were of no special price if you got it from the source though at the same time it also protected from the cold and other elements.

"Canirella ya foenta canellio uwanna goccino ebirella," A deep musical voice sang as the strings of his gallichone were strummed in a smooth melody very much suited for aimless wandering. A small, fluffy bird pearched itself on his shoulder and he gave it a soft smile, something that would be completely out of character if it were anything but an animal. The bird fluffed itself up some more in pride and decided to stay with this elf in his travels for perhaps some time to come, for he had a particularly soothing voice and his smooth gait was just enough to lull it to sleep... Another smile for the now sleeping bird on his shoulder and his walking slowed ever so slightly in an attempt to not wake up the little creature fastened on his shoulder.

"Hn," His voice was low and held a hidden power, it spoke of years of learning and a wiseness that betrayed his youthful face. Many people of many races were drawn in by it only to be stung by the harshness of his cold words and colder demeanor, "I think I might call you Lier, young one. It means 'flying melody' in my language and I have a feeling you will be a songbird once you wake..." He chuckled quietly to himself and kept strumming his gallichone and walking sedately at a leuisure pace.

Cynreial didn't know where he was going and didn't particularly care either. In the future he would settle down again for some time, then move on, just as he always did. It was his own personal cycle that he enjoyed very much. Wandering, settling, then wandering again. It suited him and he always learned the most facinating things in his many travels. Stories, lore, histories, languages, customs and cultures, sciences, politics, and all sorts of other interesting things. By now he truly was a walking history book, this fact was not helped by his age either... though that was something he never dwelled on for very long- though he was young for his race, being away from them for so long and now with shorter-living races he's seen the ever ongoing cycle of life and death fulfill and repeat itself far too many times.

Sliding through a copse of trees he came across an odd scene. A young Human female holding one of the apendages of a young Kan'naorian male... that was a sight, in all of his travels, he had never come across. His quiet strumming stopped for a moment in his surprise, though his face never changed from it's usual icy mask, but picked up again, louder this time. Not noticeably so, to Human ears, but enough to alert superior hearing to his preasence. He was curious, something that he usually never bothered to reign in. That is not to say he couldn't, just that he found more satisfaction in sating it than he did starving it of the knowledge it so craved for. Besides, he liked to keep learning things, even if they ended up being entirely useless in the long run. Sometimes knowledge for knowledge's sake was the best and most satisfying kind...

"What ho." He greeted softly, almost like a deep whisper of the wind if one didn't listen carefully.

Kotone smiled at K's words but inwardly she berated herself. "Not even here a day and you're already blushing! You're pathetic!" Her subconscious mocked. She hated how it sounded like her mother's voice. Outwardly, she fought to keep the smile on her face. "Thank you, K. I'm quite alrigh- Eep!" She squeaked quite cutely as she was lifted off the ground. She looked up at K, the blush on her face even more apparent. This was when she cursed her milky white skin.

Shi-shi poked his head out of her bag at the sound of another voice. The small doll clamored onto his owner's chest and watched in mild amusement as she squirmed in the bug alien's arms. He let out a small snort and pointed his nose in the direction of the voice. "Shi!" This caused her to spot the beautiful male and faint. Shi-shi merely shook his head and sighed. His owner was such a trouble magnet.

K pondered if she really was sick as her red furthered in color. Hm. That would not be good; he needed to get her to the Kan'vara quickly. This especially hit him so when the little animal that followed her gave a bleat, pointing in a direction, to which Kotone fainted. K looked up to see the strange, long-haired humanoid, to whom he at first blinked, then gave a slight clicking growl, protective in tone. The pale-skinned being reminded K of an old tale to scare Pupa, but had been based on uncertain events. The Pointy Ones. The K'na'ko. Said to creep into the Nests and feed upon Pupa and Larva alike, leaving nothing but withered husks.

Who are you? What are your intentions? K reverted to his native language by mistake, forgetting the humanoids spoke a language all of their own. He muttered a curse as he remembered so. "You isk who? Isk good...Isk not good?" As he spoke, he still moved slowly, not wanting to compromise time of the slowly-setting sun.

Momo smiles softly, glad that they seemed to be getting along well...With that, she spread her large, pink wings, and leaped into the air. They flapped heavily, sending small gusts of winds against the two, as she soared into the sky.... Momo spent the night gliding over the dark skies. She enjoyed flying at night. It felt as if she were flying with those shiny stars that dangled within the darkness. Sometimes, she reaches up with those slender fingers of hers, wanting to just touch one. Although, in all actuality, she knew that was quite impossible. Her pink hair fluttered in the wind, being thrown every which way, but it did not bother her...Everything in the towns seemed well, for what she had seen....There had been a few robberies, but those were only small problems; problems in which she easily, and swiftly, took care of. Her large, pink wings, flapped every once in a while to stay draft on the waves of the wind, keeping her high in the air.

It had only been about ten minutes, but she worked fast...And, already, she was becoming slightly worried for Kotone. Although they had seemed to work well together, she wondered if they were still okay..But Momo still had a job to do, whether she liked it or not, and couldn't neglect it for the sake of the girl...She would make another around through the towns, checking to see that the innocent were okay, and then would come to check on Kotone again...Maybe she would already be sleeping, anyways...Momo didn't want to bother her...The girl had seemed quite tired when she had left...."I'm sure I could just check in a little...It wouldn't hurt anybody.." Momo mutters to herself, turning in air to fly towards the spot in the forest they had once been, in case they had yet to leave....

The Human female had fainted at the sight of him, and while he had to admit it was a rare sight in all of his years it wasn't entirely unusual for it to happen once a woman caught sight of his appearance. He wasn't particularly vain, no more than he was raised to be, and simply attributed it to the fact that no one had seen an elf outside of his country-city Liuel for more than one of his races lifetimes. They had quietly slipped into myth and legend, so to see one would undoubtedly be a shock.

"My intentions?" He could understand the language but made no effort to try to replicate it in the slightest, it was better to seem ignorant than offensive, he found. "I have not intentions, either good or bad. For you or her. I am simply passing through." He had stopped his playing and began rummaging through his sleeves and cloaks and many layers of fabric, all with hundreds of pockets each containing something else gathered from his travels.

"Here 'tis," He murmured, low enough it was more a vibration of the chest than an actual sound. A glass tube of smelling salts. The first time it had happened he had been concerned for the woman, thinking she was sick. The second time it was a bit odd. The third time he was prepared to take responsibility, or to at least wake the woman up from her sudden slumber.

Cynreial approached slowly, not wanting to scare the Kan'naorian into running or attacking. Uncoarking the glass vial he blatantly showed the other male what he was planning, he was sure that it could be smelled from where he was easily. He waved the strong, but beautifully scented, salts under the female's nose, wafting the poignant smell towards her.

Kotone lay in her mindscape, happily ignoring the events outside of her. She really didn't want to wake back up. She was perfectly happy laying here, in the surprisingly warm arms of K. That elf scared her a bit. and her only coping mechanism is to faint. She's had it for quite some time, around the time her actual parents died.

When she smelt something fragrant, she wanted to investigate. It was a nice smell. She knew it wasn't K. Maybe the elf came up close to them. She had to wake up at some point. Why worry K more? It would do her no good.

Fluttering eyelids opened to dazed brown eyes. She glanced around the forest before looking at the three faces looking at her. "Oh, good morning." She smiled at the deer on her chest., obviously still reeling slightly from waking up in a weird manner. She looked at the elf. "I'm sorry, my good sir. Your sudden appearance startled me and seeing as how I was tired from everything else today, I believe it was not entirely your fault I fainted. More a joint effort by fatigue, hunger and slight shock. K, I believe I can be put down now. I'm not sick, I assure you..." She always sounded more knowledgeable when she first woke up. It didn't helped her at all that her mind thought faster half asleep than fully awake.

As Momo fluttered over the area in which they had once been, she spots K and Kotone, but yet, someone else...And something seemed to be..wrong...It sent butterflies in her chest and she suddenly began to panic slightly. She quickly lands, flapping her wings hard and sending gusts of winds against the three of them. "K-Kotone! What's wrong?" Momo asks, finally landing and folding her large, pink wings behind her back. She could see she was beginning to wake up, and the strange elf man, which she had never remembered seeing before, strangely, was holding something over her nose....

"Did you do this to her?" She asks, her tone suddenly becoming hard and rigid like a jagged rock. Her eyes faded to a dark red, computer like symbols calculating over their surface, as she glared towards the man. "I thought you were going to take her somewhere to sleep, K..." She mumbles, then gazing over towards him. Why was she still here? Had she passed out from exhaustion? Had they hurt her? She wanted answers, and she wanted them quickly...

K did not like the tone in Momo's voice. Calm yourself before your reactor overheats. K said in his native tongue, distaste apparent, but still melodic. I was taking Kotone to Kan'vara when this...stranger...appeared. Kotone fainted; this stranger revived her with these minerals. She claims she is not sick, but... K looked to Kotone. ...I would like to be sure.

K then offered his hand to Kotone, hearing another howl. "Kkome. Go to Kan'vara." He looked at the stranger, giving a moment to think. "You kkan kkome. Darkk isk not good. Skay only walkk, but darkk walkk isk not good. Darkk walkk isk dead walkk." K could have been wrong to say that, but to many creatures of the night, the Kan'naorians were nothing but oversized bugs, rich in protien; weak in singularity, strong in numbers. Hence why K felt the Nest, or Kan'vara, was safe. He wasn't sure what this man truly intended, but if it was anything bad, his Brothers and Sisters could take care of him.

K then turned to Momo. I would request you come as well...while I have the equipment to check for illnesses, I have literally no knowledge of Kotone's philology. You have more knowledge than I do.

The bird on his shoulder woke up as he bent over and, while made no noise, was very curious of these people his new elf was associating with. This elf was quite entertaining so far and the bird was quite happy with his current situation. He had a feeling he wouldn't be bored for a long time to come in the company of his new elf... Meanwhile the elf in question was affronted by the accusations to his person, not that he would show it of course.

"I can assure you," He began in that low, melodic voice of his, "That I have not caused any harm, lasting or otherwise, to this female Human. I revealed my presence and she fainted, I can only assume it was because elves are assumed to be only lore and legend and this is the first time she has seen one. It has happened before so I carry these salts." He would really rather not talk so much if he wasn't being paid for it, but he supposed it couldn't be helped.

"I will come. I know of healing so I will be of aide as well. I have healing herbs as well that work for Humans if you feel need be." Cynreial made no move to try to take the female from the Kan'naorian or otherwise 'take responsibility' for the incident. He felt no need to, that and he never particularly liked touching anyone.

"I am Cynreial son of Cintorel, may the sun shine gently upon your paths and the leaves forever shine golden." It was a customary greeting that was usually shortened to 'sun paths and golden leaves' but he had found that no other culture had greetings like this, not really, and no one understood what he was talking about when shortened so he was forced to say the entire thing unless he wanted to explain it, which only took longer. The thought of not saying it at all never even crossed his mind, that was one of the ultimate rudenesses in his culture, and though he knew himself to be an icy bastard (not literally, of course) he was polite, if nothing else.

Kotone stood in her daze as Momo flew over. She smiled sleepily at the girl. "Hello Momo-chan... I'm quite alright, actually. Just a bit tired that's all. K was taking me home when this nice elf startled me. I fainted but he woke me up soon after. Don't harm either one. It was more my fault than anyone else's..."

Then she turned to the elf. "And it wasn't the fact you were an elf that startled me. Merely your sudden appearance. Never have I heard, or in this case, not heard someone move so silently. You really are quiet..." she muttered, her eyes slowly becoming more focused as she spoke, though her speech was still very analytical.

When both of his friends started talking, she began thinking about everything, where she was, who was near her, what was going on. She was in the game, in the forest, with K, Momo and a weird elf Cynreial. She was reawakening, still, from her daze, when the elf scared her. Shi-shi was on her head, worried. She turned to where K had been moving was and started walking. She really didn't know where she was going but it was away from the forests. Those howls were unsettling her deer friend. She hoped back in the awake part of her mind that she was heading to K's house or somewhere else safe.

Momo's body slowly relaxes, her eyes fading back to their normal hue of hazel. She gazes over towards K, with a gentle sigh. "You are right...I was simply worried...I will gladly come with you to help you care for the girl.." She mumbles, in English, forgetting to change towards his language so that it may be easier for him. She had already been around the towns, and didn't sense any further danger. Surely taking a break for a short while wouldn't cause too much trouble...It was then that she heard the elf speak his name..."elf?" She hadn't really heard that around here before. They must have been rare, because she had never even seen one before...

Usually, she knew everyone which lived around here...How had she not seen him before?...With a raised eye brow, she listens intently to his greeting and name, being sure to place his name in the millions that were stored in her data. "Alright..." She agrees, deciding it would be best for the elf to come. She didn't know much about him, and if what he said was true, he would be valuable...Not only this, but she needed to gain more information on this race which she seemed to know nothing about...With the sound of Kotone's gentle, dazed voice, seeming still to be tired, Momo calmed even more. As long as she was okay...

Nudging her thoughts aside, Momo begins to follow the group towards K's living space...Wherever he lived...She wasn't even sure.

K led the group to his home, which looked like nothing but a green spot among the trees, void of anything but a few black structures. The small buildings were domed in shape, seemingly composed of a material not unlike that of K's exoskeleton, but with a higher density. A few clicks were exchanged as the group approached, K explaining to his Brethren what was going on. There was a slight heated debate for a moment between the Kan'naorians before they hesitantly welcomed the Humanoids.

"Kan'naorian welkkome," K explained, the group giving a unison series of clicks, harmonious in sound. He then motioned the group into one of the domes. The inside was more confusing than the outside; rather than a black gleam like the outside, there was a dull glaze, like the skin of an embryo, with cordage of some sort running through like veins, occasionally pulsating. In the center of the dome was a metal table; but, like the walls, the table had a film that seemed to be partially organic, as if the dome itself were a living being of its own in a way. "Kkome," K motioned for Kotone to lay down on the relatively flat surface. "We find sikk."

K then turned to Momo, giving a clicked command, the side of the table opening a small port for electronic connectivity. If you would please. The K'k'hara will translate the information you give it, and if I am to find if Kotone is ill, I must have your knowledge on her species physiology.

Kotone let the other two lead her to the Nest. She had Shi-shi around her neck, like the way lambs were carried by shepherds. she nodded at the many bugs around her, holding back the need to stroke their exoskeletons. They looked so soft and fuzzy. Like the little beetles in her books. She inwardly giggled at that. No need to disrespect these nice aliens.

She laid out on the table K presented and relaxed. She giggled slightly. This was like the sci-fi books she read. The aliens befriended the humans and laid them on operating tables. Then began dissecting them. It was a good book. She wondered if K would let her read some of his, if he had any.

"Hey, K? How will this thing find something wrong with me? I've never met an alien before, so it's all new to me." She asked, looking at him with expectant eyes. She knew that this was new knowledge, something she soaked up and processed. She loved learning new things about the good and the bad. Information was information, who cares if it could kill? Well, she did but that's why it was kept to herself.

He was interested in the Human female, or rather, the animal she had with her. Though, he would never say it aloud. It seemed that it was odd for a male to like animals out here in the world, and one of the first things he had learned, the hard way that is, was that you never seemed un-manly. Not if you could help it. That only invited trouble and gave it a nice welcome on the way in.

Cynreial followed, only very slightly worried (well, worried wasn't the word, more so aware than anything) over the howling from before. It didn't seem like there were many altogether, though sometimes one alone was worse, they were more desperate that way often enough.

Following blandly he kept on strumming his instrument and the little bird cheeped happily along with it. His pace never changed from his usual long, sweeping steps that gave him the appearance of gliding across the surface of the ground. It was something all his kind did, they were an extraordinarily graceful and elegant race. His flowing clothes didn't help dissuade this impression either, in fact, the more you looked at him, the harder it was to convince yourself otherwise...

So, he followed the Kan'naorian to his nest and watched and waited silently with eyes almost like that of a predator, though he had no wish to exploit or eat any of these creatures, he was simply used to being on his guard and taking in each and every weakness and cataloging it. For his own safety, of course. That was another lesson hard learned.

"Do not worry, it will not hurt, to my knowledge. They are not a race that takes pleasure from the pain of their subjects." Cynreial spoke softly though his tone was bored. His voice really was something, often lulling people into a quiet, happy place. Even his sharp words and sharper tongue seemed to have that effect, though cold it was.
