Brienne Showalter

Plainest of Harpies

0 · 860 views · located in Monstrum, 666 Devil Road Transylvania

a character in “Monstrum's Asylum for Developing Monsters”, as played by DerpWolf

Description

Name: Brienne Showalter
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Harpy

Can use magic: Yes. Brienne possesses innate ability to control wind magic. The pure potential for her spells and magical power is astonishing, no doubt capable of great feats of wind manipulation - a tornado, for example. However, she hasn't had any training in using it, and as of yet doesn't have the discipline required to begin on that path. At most, she can create a stiff breeze with her magic, equal to about the same breeze she could create by flapping her wings.

Racial Abilities: Flight, hollow bones, keen eyesight

Appearance: Image
Dark, feathery wings usually put this friendly harpy on other people's radars. If that doesn't, her height certainly does - she measures a startling 5'10 with ease. Two spindly, scaly bird legs with sharp black talons at the feet support a slim upper body. For such thin things, they hold enough strength to support the harpy's body, but don't seem strong enough to allow her to participate in anything like a deadlift competition. The muscleature of her shoulders is well-defined, sharpened by endless days of flying aloft. Twinkling, friendly brown eyes sit above a mouth that always curves into an equally amicable smile. For clothing, Brienne prefers rip-resistant clothing. Finer fabrics rip on her scaled legs, talons, or going over her voluminous feathers. That need for simplicity reflects itself in her style as well; she prefers to wear clothes of a simple cut with one or two colours at most. Often visibly frustrated about her lack of hands.
Student or teacher: Student

Backstory: If queried about her origins, Brienne's first instinct is to shrug and say there's nothing special about her. Brienne's mother, Layla Calixto lived with Brienne's aunts in a sort of communal nest. The harpy mothers raised their children together. The only thing separating the black-feathered harpy from the rest of her cousins was the fact that she knew her father - a human by the name of David Showalter. Though Brienne had older half-siblings, only her father meshed well enough with her mother that they stayed together after her conception. Unfortunately, Layla fell ill during the pregnancy. Though the illness didn't kill her or harm the child, Layla's weakened immune system couldn't fight it off, and even after Brienne's birth she never fully recovered. Around the time Brienne turned ten, Layla begged her husband to take her daughter away from their nest so she wouldn't have to see the death of her own mother. David reluctantly agreed, unwilling to leave his beloved behind to face the unknown alone. In the end, he acquiesced to her request.

The story from there proves equally uneventful. David blew the majority of his life savings on a Sunseeker RV. The basic education Brienne recieved from her aunts proved to be the standard for her education. While traveling cross-country with her father, she learned a lot of practical knowledge (including how to tie a knot without hands) but fell behind in areas like magical control or other kinds of book learning. Her relative ignorance never bothered her, and Brienne enjoyed every moment with her father on the road. Mountain-climbing (or flying, in Brienne's case) ended up one of their favourite past-times. Though David eventually came clean about why they left Brienne's mother, the harpy never shamed him or her mother for their decisions.

For a brief time, they traveled with a friend of David's, an elf named Zarcanos. He attempted to teach Brienne how to harness her more innate monstrous abilities, but didn't get very far. It was his urging that convinced David to ship his daughter off to school. Her lack of formal education landed her in remedial academics, but her knowledge of extra-carricular subjects like nature, gem-finding, spelunking, and first-aid proved she was more than a dumb chicken.

So begins...

Waylen Monstrum

The Headmaster waited for everyone to filter out of the auditorium, hiding his heavy breathing as he turned and leaned against the podium, pretending to look over notes. After everyone evacuated, he took some time to compose himself.
As he calmed down, he stood straight, making sure his hat fit, and turned on his heel, heading for the staff exit and down the hall towards his office. Things had to be ran, after all.

The man went through a mental checklist, slowly running through everything that needed to be taken care of. He needed people for student council and dance committee, as well as dorm leaders. The introduction of co-ed dorms had been something he had been against for centuries, but when the kings say jump, you don't stop to ask how high.
It could be dangerous, and lead to a lot of issues...

As Waylen reached out for his office door, his phone vibrated, causing the immortal to jump. Clearing his throat and making sure that no one was around to notice, he took it out and examined the text message.
"He's arriving today. You will watch him. No ifs, ands, or buts. Take care of him, mister."
He grumbled quietly and spoke his thoughts. "it's a good thing that I don't understand this technology, or you'd have a very stern message."

The headmaster turned the knob to his office and entered, causing a fireplace to jump to life. as he crossed the room, stepping onto the werewolf skin rug, violins filled the air, playing a piece that - from the melody - could be played near the early 19th century. He fell into his high-back, winged chair and leaned into his desk as the door shut with a soft click, pressing a button on the intercom. "Would anyone interested in taking part in the student council report to my office in half an hour?"

You are not, late Brienne. You're just... unfashionably not-on-time. Right. The harpy's father jokingly demanded she write him an old-fashioned letter every week to inform him of her progress. Flapping through the Asylum's hallways with a tattered map in her talons, she tsk'd unhappily. The only map she'd found of the facility and it wasn't even laminated. Wandering half-lost through the halls didn't appeal to Ms. Showalter at all. Frowning at the punctured map in her talons, she landed, shrugging her shoulders backwards.

If only Zarc hadn't spent so much time trying to give her all the fatherly advice her dad gave her almost a week before. Of course her real dad couldn't drop her off anywhere near Monstrum's, so the good-natured elf stood in for him. Yes, she would remember to write. Yes, she would remember to change her sheets every two weeks. Yes, she would remember what he said about harpies and preying mantises. Ew. By the time she'd wriggled out of his bear hug, the speech ended.

Taking a few click-clacking steps across the floor on her thin bird legs, Brienne followed the most noise. Even if she hadn't seen where everyone dismissed to, it couldn't be too hard to slip into one class and then borrow a map from someone else to end up at the second one on time. Content with her plan, the harpy nodded to herself and took to the air once again, far more confident on-wing than hopping along the ground.

Poking her head into a room that had quite a few people gathering in it, she cast her gaze this way and that. Shouldering the door open, she set her eyes on a large Cerberus-creature in the corner. A few other people stood out - was that a man with cat ears? - but Brienne hesitated on fully entering into the room. Luckily, a voice over the intercom helped her make a decision. Something about a student council? With a cursory wave just in case someone had caught sight of her abrupt entrance, the harpy backed out of the room. A single one of her midnight-hue feathers floated to the ground as she flitted down the halls. Knowing full well she would get turned around once or twice on the way, Ms. Showalter headed for the direction she thought the head office would be.

No Brienne, you're not unfashionably not-on-time. You're late.

A jaunty tune whisked past the harpy's lips as she meandered through the hallways. The flapping of her sable wings provided a sharp counterpoint to the peaks and valleys of her cheerful whistling, giving her the persona of a songbird. The halls of the school somewhat reminded Brienne of a cave she'd spelunked through with her father a year ago. Tunnels of stone crossed high-vaulted pockets untouched by sunlight. Dark fingers of ancient stalactites curled down, casting strange shadows across water-rippled walls. The soft trickling of eternal draining water countered David's steps and the occasional rustle of Brienne's feathers. Even drawing a map while they traveled, the pair eventually had to leave a visible trail to return to the entrance.

Though her mind wandered quasi-real landscapes of damp rock and underwater rivers, her body floated aimlessly through the halls, switching direction at random. By the time her brain returned to the present, the harpy realized she had no clue where she ended up. Like that maze of a cave, the school turned her around effectively. Either that, or she accidentally ended up in the most boring limbo of all time while she wasn't looking. Brienne never attended school before today and she already knew that flying through school halls for the rest of eternity was a worse punishment than death.

Deciding to pick up the pace, she swerved around a corner and nearly ran into someone. Halting her headlong flight nearly propelled her into a wall, blowing a rather large gust over the unfortunate person. Dropping onto her taloned feet, Brienne hopped back on her thin bird legs and tilted her head. Sharp, chocolate-coloured eyes examined the other person - no wait, there was someone else too? - in the hall. The man she'd nearly hit looked a bit older than her, and strange horns protruded from his head. Her mind immediately tried to measure them up to an elephant's ivory or a bull's sharp horns, both in form and strength. Not that she'd seen an elephant in person, but she'd read about them. His height impressed her somewhat, as did the stature of his form. Intimidate, however? Not a bit.

Her nearly unblinking eyes fixated on the other form moments later. It definitely looked mostly human, but something seemed... off about her. The unnatural height, for one. That, and the strange eyes. If she was trying to pass as pure human, the creature needed far more practise than that. The tall woman's lips vaguely reminded the harpy of blood sausages pressed together, while the star on her cheek brought up memories of a glam rock star. The mental image of the lady bedecked in a leather outfit from the 70s and a heavily modified guitar sprang to mind.

Blinking slowly, Brienne finally realized she nearly ran over two people and proceeded to quietly stare at them for a good thirty seconds. Coughing awkwardly, she offered a tentative wave with one wing. "Erm, sorry about that. Didn't look where I was going. My name is Brienne, who are you?" She glanced at the man first, then the glam rock lady, looking between the two as she awaited an answer.

Sen was thinking of ways to make his father pay for sending him to the school. It was really playing on his mind how his father thought it was a good idea, how was sending him to this place a good idea? Sen felt he didn't need any correcting in his ways or attitude so he couldn't understand why he was sent to the Monstrum Asylum.

Still brooding and not really wanting to talk to anyone just yet, he thought he heard someone speaking, to him? He began to think, who in the world would randomly want to speak to him? He turned to see the face of a female who was obviously not human, to no surprise. He had never seen anyone like her though and her appearance was intriguing, even if she did look similar to a human. She had a rather strong and mysterious aura about her. It was just a feeling he got. Perhaps she was a teacher? Or maybe her height gave off the strong impression. Having a woman taller than himself did make him feel a bit belittled, it irritated him slightly.

After a while of staring at her, puzzled and impatient, she spoke once more. She spoke of how she had not seen him at the intro ceremony. He raised a brow with slightly narrowed eyes, almost glaring at her. "Is that a problem?" He replied, almost challenging her. Whether it was a problem or not didn't matter to him though, he needed to leave his high-and-mighty attitude behind him because it most certainly would not work here. He'd learn the hard way.

A sudden gust of wind hit him and his long, black hair blew forward creating a mess of strands in places they shouldn't be. Furrowing his brow, he fixed his hair and turned to see what in the world caused wind indoors. "What the bloody hell is it now?" A clumsy Harpy that's what. Although, she was beautiful. That wouldn't stop him from keeping up his I hate everything attitude. He stared back at her as she was silently starring back for roughly thirty seconds and he was confused. Was there something on his face? What was wrong with her? Until finally she spoke. Apologising and stating she wasn't looking where she was going. "Ya think?" Then she introduced herself and expected himself and the taller woman beside him to reply with their name's. He wasn't used to this, random people approaching him like he was your everyday common folk. He disliked the lacking feeling of importance. "I'm Sen Jumin and I should be the Prince of hell right now but nooo." The rest of his sentence was muttered cursing of his father and annoyed sighs. He stopped himself from complaining any further however, he had somewhere to go. "Anyway. Real nice meeting you both, have to go do something important now. On my way to lead the student council." He was being sarcastic about the first part and overly confident about being head of the student council, as if it were already planned for him to be in charge. Even though he had no idea how to get to the headmaster's office, he believed he would somehow get there with no problems.

Brienne brushed her hair out of her face again with her wing. Its plush feathers tickled her nose during the sweeping motion, almost causing her to sneeze. Sniffing to contain the reflex, the harpy rustled her plumage to cover up the sound. Good job, Bri. You're doing so well already. Though the man's first words to her were rather blunt, bordering on rude, she couldn't fault him for it. She did nearly plow straight into his back. Instead, she kept her amicable smile. No reason to start the year with any bad blood, right?

The next thing Sen said caught her off-guard. Prince... of Hell? Strange that a prince wouldn't go to his own special school for royals or the social elite. Instead he plopped down among a band of students and teachers that ran the gamut from semi-normal to that strange Cerberus-creature. Plus they even let her in, and she hadn't attended any school before. Really though, she didn't care about his status. Brienne didn't live in Hell, after all. Furthermore, if they were both students, he didn't hold any rank over her that way either.

Flapping her inky wings, the harpy took off once again, filling the hallway with an occasional breeze. The... was he a devil or a daemon? Was there a difference? Probably. Making a mental note to ask someone about it later, she listened to the last statement Sen made. He planned to be the leader of the student council? Fair enough. Brienne herself had no designs on a specific spot, she simply wanted to participate in something.

"Wait! I'm headed that way too, we should go together." Plus there was someone right here to ask for directions! Adventurous though she was, Ms. Showalter had no intention of wandering around until the time limit was up. Turning her attention to the glam rock lady, she queried, "Do you know where the headmaster's office is? I, erm... accidentally tore my map."

Bellatroix simply chuckles at the somewhat blustering attitude of the demon prince. She took no offense, and why would she? It took something more significant than mild disrespect to rile her. In fact, it may have had the exact opposite effect. As she begins to respond to Sen she is cut short by a sudden gust and the sound of flapping of wings. Her long stringy black hair managing to cover her eyes. As she uncovers them and looks over to the source of the wind she finds yet another student. A harpy no less, and seeming be rather lost.

"Worry not, child... accidents, they happen even to the best of us." She says, simply amused at the girl's clumsy entrance, then realizes that she has yet to introduce herself. "Oh dear, so rude of me, I am Beau Geste Bellatroix, but any shortening of it is acceptable."

She takes a courteous bow, like an archaic noble, a habit learned when studying human customs back home. As the poignant prince and haphazard harpy made short conversation they began heading off for the headmaster. She smirked thinking how amusing this may become, such contrasting personalities intermingling. The boy had already claimed leadership after only recently taken foot in the halls. This is going to be a fun year.

"Oh, I will be teaching botany by the way, I promise it will be funducational! Perhaps even a bit... humbling... for some." Her tone is jovially sing-song at this point, then droning into cryptic, a look of guile upon her face. "Anyways, take care children, try not to get into any trouble."

There was always one student who questioned the value of the sparring class. This year it just so happened to be the headmaster's boy, bringing an evil grin to Kaen's face. He gestured to the ring and watched as many of the students made a path for Randal to move through.

"Be the first to enter the ring and find out." The ring itself was enchanted by Karen to erase any and all fatal damage that is done inside the ring. If (and when) someone would die in the ring they are knocked out instead, but with the full appearance of harm. Pain was still present and minor wounds wouldn't be stopped, but that was all part of the fun.

As Randal entered the ring Kaen tossed him a school training sword then held one sword up for the class to see. Anyone want to challenge him to a friendly brawl? The winner of this match gets 1 Silver star and a free magica act from yours truely."

He made the same offer every year he has been a teacher, and helping the winner was always fun. Last year the student saved her act until hallows eve and asked Kaen to conjure up a party, which in the end shut out that nights dance. Monstrum wasn't happy with that but got over it shortly after.

Shame looked over from the boy to the warlock. She saw a student enter the ring and smiled. She rose her hand as markings appeared on her skin. "I will challenge Randel to a brawl..." She stood from her seat and walked over to the warlock and held out her hand as he set the sword in her hand.

She gripped it tightly, closing her red eye as she entered the ring. She could smell his aura, which only made her smile, her canines poking over her lips. She pulled her hair up in a high ponytail, leaving down her bangs and got into a stance, her feet promptly side by side, both hands on the sword and faced her opponent.

She hopes that the sand and flames don't go out of control...

Amelia StuartImage
The boredom she suffered within the class was proving to take it's toll on Amelia, she stood at the back of the crowd watching and listening silently as the teacher picked out the necromancer, and asked the class for an opponent. The shady-looking girl bravely stepped up to the challenge, and that's where Amelia lost interest. It clearly wasn't going to be a fair fight. In the cover of the hype from the other students, Amelia slipped into the shadows and made her exit, putting her parasol up once she was outside the class and roaming the halls to block the suns rays from her delicate skin.

The hallways were just as boring as the sparring classroom, lined with antiques and classic paintings - Amelia had seen such decor many, many times before coming to Monstrum. Regardless, she just kept walking and walking until she'd eventually come across the dormitory block, to which she entered in order to look around and find her assigned dorm room. Amelia took the key given to her at the front desk from her pocket and fitted it into the lock, turned the key and went inside, slamming the door behind her with a heavily sigh as she put down her parasol and grabbed the nearest sheet she could find, stringing it up over the windows to give her some shade before she sank back onto her chosen bed and closed her eyes, hoping to sleep until nightfall.

ImageAiko Nozaki
Once out of the basement, clutching the two requested items tightly to her chest though making very sure not to damage or even scuff them as she scurried down the hallways and back to the office area. As she made her way back, Aiko passed a considerable amount of students which all seemed to be heading to the office, the thought of so many students heading that way made her somewhat nervous - but then she remembered that the demon science teacher, Imdius was put in charge of the student council, and so her worries were eased a little.

Yet still, she wanted to help however she could, which meant putting the items down for a mere moment so she could set up a blank sign-in sheet labelled 'Student Council Members, Sign Here' and placed it down on the front desk, making sure it was visible to anyone entering before picking the items back up again and giving a small knock on the Headmaster's door before entering, "I found the items, Sir" she hurries over to the desk and carefully places each item down, stepping back and resting her arms behind her back with a polite posture as she waited for feedback.

Sen had to admit, the Harpy's little sneeze was quite, cute. Usually the Demon was one to be quite flirtatious with all species and genders. It was more of a game to him than actual attraction or love. If he wanted to sleep with someone he had to be attracted to them though, he himself being quite vain only allowed the best looking to lay a hand on him in that way. But at the moment, he was still trying to get over the fact he was at the school in the first place. Being a bit of a whiny baby would surely annoy someone eventually enough to kick his ass. "Brienne and Beau." Sen muttered to himself, making a mental note of the two females name.

He couldn't help but roll his eyes at what seemed to be the Botanist teacher's remark on how great her class would be. We'll see. He thought to himself. Well at least he now knew he was right about Beau being a teacher. Despite her quite laid back attitude he could sense that authority vibe she probably unintentionally gave off. Maybe that was just her height again? Nonetheless he continued down the hallway, looking at the signs and navigating his way around.

Until the Harpy could be heard calling out from behind him, followed by another gust of wind, messing up his hair once again. His face turned sour and it was clear he was annoyed. Letting out an irritated sigh, he fixed up his hair once more, and turned slightly to look at the Harpy. God she was so dopey he thought. The teacher had already left for her question to reach her and now he was stuck with her. "Alright alright, just enough with your flapping if possible. You keep messing up my hair." At this point, Sen was too bothered to be mean to the Harpy, exhausted perhaps? When they get to the office, his energy will be back up again.

He walked silently, slightly glancing down at the Harpy from time to time but that was about it. The Demon was concentrating on the signs and how to get to the Headmaster's office. He was growing more annoyed however as he noticed he had passed a certain classroom twice already. He could already imagine the Harpy suggesting they ask someone for directions which he'd reply with I'd rather claw my eyes out. However, surprisingly he was lucky enough to overhear a conversation between to male's; all he heard was something to do with the council or something relevant. And so his brilliant plan was to follow them, and so he did. "Ha ha! That wasn't so hard, if you stick with me you'll never get lost-" He cut himself short from bragging as he realised he pretty much told Brienne that she could hang around him? Or at least that's how he saw it. He just shut up completely, cocky smile fading, and kept looking forward.

The two stopped at a door, one of them quickly opened it and everyone was inside. "Damn, three people here before me." Sen cursed to himself. He wanted to be the first but he wouldn't have made it in the first place is it weren't for the two other students.

Sen felt a bit uneasy as he could already sense the mixed species and the vibes they gave off. Their aura's were all different and he had never been in an environment like this before. The other Demon in the room caught his attention first is it was something he was used to being around. Sen wondered if perhaps this Demon would remember him or know of his status. Hopefully he would, it would be nice to get some royal treatment after being without it for roughly twenty minutes. "I just wanted to start off by saying that I think I would be the best option to lead the student council." It was far too quiet for his liking, everyone was just staring at one another, being weird and stuff. Besides, he wanted everyone to know how confident he was. Sen was getting a bit excited now, he was pretty pumped about the student council idea and there were a lot of attractive faces in the room, even more fun.

Running a little behind after being distracted by a squirrel, Jodhal ran through the hallways. The two heads, Jodac and Dae, argued with each other about going in the wrong direction as they did so. Vhal, on the other hand, was too occupied with the dead squirrel held in his mouth.
Finally, they had made it, the doorway labelled 'headmaster' was in their sights. Hopefully they weren't too late. Believing they had no time, Jodhal ran straight through the door, bursting into the room, skidding to a stop perfectly in line with the other students. "We're here for the student council sign up thingy!" Dae stated, not realising that it hadn't even started yet. "Oh, cool we made it." he smiled with realization.

Finally, the aspiring council members has appeared, and what a variety there was. All of them ranged in morphologies from a harpy to a demon, this could lead on to an amazing student council. If they all had the ability to do it. The worst case scenario would include all of them being incompetent fools, which could be a high possibility when it came to Imdius' consideration. Sadly, there were more than three, which would make this even more annoying, Imdius happily agreed to this because he thought it would be a simple job to do, after all, who would want to be in the student council? Apparently these guys...

Wait. Imdius thought as his mind fell back to think about the narration some more. Demon? Looking straight over towards the source of the demonic energy, Imdius instantly recognised the familiar figure. Sen Jumin... A sudden smile spread across his mischievous face as the demon prince heir made his egotistical statement. Ahh! What an amazing time to be a teacher! I was gonna give up teaching and go start world war three by convincing Putin to press the big red button! But that can wait! This little shit is here! How amazing! As a teacher, I can order this little shit around, I can scold the bastard if he starts acting like a dick! As Imdius was thinking all of this, he was already moving quickly through the room, seemingly dancing as random objects came into appearance around him. A desk, computer, phone, it was as if he was making plans and working on some kind of administration in such speed, typing away faster than anyone could, talking on the phone in some sped up voice. I'll have to put Putin on hold. Oh, but I don't want to loose such a great customer, I want him to summon me again. I'll just tell him to collect the seven dragonballs and wish for immortality in case it takes too long. That'll do! Oh, but I wanted to go back to hell to see my wife and three kids, it's been such a while... Imdius continued thinking to himself as he played with the strange floating equipment.
Suddenly, he stopped. The equipment quickly disappeared into a puff of smoke which mixed in with the smoke from Imdius' cigarette as he continued smoking away. "Wait, I don't even have a wife and three kids... He spoke out loud, not realizing it as his mind came back to reality, his smile returning to his face, this act threw Imdius into some strange pose; Leaning back on nothing, fingers pressed against his forehead as his other hand cupped around his elbow. Everyone could even see the SFX 'COOL MODE ACTIVATE' appear over his head as a small giggle was emitted.

"Now now, little boy. That kind of attitude is not that attitude of a successful leader. After all, we need to take all participants into consideration; I am Imdius! PhD in whatever-the-fuck-I-want. I'll be in charge of the student council and your science teacher."

Brienne dropped to the floor, her talons clacking softly against the laminated tiles. She hadn't meant to irritate Sen with her flapping, but it was her fastest mode of movement. Her grounded gait looked strange, something between a lope and a hop, a bastardization of a human's walk and the tiny bouncing of songbirds. Her long, peppy strides kept up with the demon rather easily, but she still felt uncomfortable about it. Plus the cool tile against her feet sent an occasional chill up her slim legs.

Measuring the time by the quiet click of her claws, the harpy wondered why her request for directions went unanswered earlier. Sen seemed just as lost as she'd been earlier. Brienne heard the voices a split second before her companion started following them. Stalking behind two other people to find the headmaster's office seemed creepy, but whatever worked. Better to seem creepy and get going than wander the halls until they both died of old age. Wait... could he even die of old age? The harpy didn't know much about the internal biology of other magical beings. She decided to stop thinking about it too hard, nothing much she could do either way.

"...Stick with me and you'll never get lost..." Brienne internally raised an eyebrow at that statement. From the way he acted, she got the feeling he wasn't one to make or have friends. He simply gave off the air of someone who didn't have the empathy to care about anyone but himself. She didn't say anything about it to him, but it made her curious. Could her feeling be wrong? She'd wait and see.

Squeezing into the headmaster's office behind the young man who led her here, Brienne cast her sharp chocolate eyes over everyone assembled. A red-headed man with strange red eyes lounged in the room before they'd arrived. Something about him struck the harpy as... odd. She couldn't place it. Beyond that, he stank of cigarette smoke. Brienne scrunched up her nose to try and force the pervading scent away from her nostrils. The next person she noticed as one of the two they followed in. He looked human to her, only his lavender eyes standing out. Perhaps he was a mage? She made a note to ask him later. The other of the two gave her a sort of monochrome feeling. White hair and eyes that hovered between ice blue and a pale green, accompanied by white and black clothes made her wonder where he came from. Certainly not anywhere she'd been. He too appeared human. Strange.

The area felt suddenly... incredibly claustrophobic. Resisting the urge to throw out her wings and make space for herself, she settled with ruffling and fluffing out the feathers on her wings, rubbing them together in front of her for a moment. Enclosed spaces didn't usually bother her, but so many people in such a relatively small space bothered one of the older, more animal spots of her brain. If something went wrong, there wouldn't be much room to maneuver. Not that she expected anything to go wrong, but the feeling lingered with her still. Sen spoke first, claiming his intent to lead the council. Behind her, she noticed the Cerberid-creature shove its way into the room, making her even more uncomfortable with the squeeze.

Swifter than a falcon, she used his simple statement to springboard into her own pitch. "I don't care about being in charge of the council, but I feel I'd make a great addition. I'm Brienne Showalter." She turned towards the taller red-head, who she assumed was a staff member. "I don't have as much academic experience as some people, but I have other kinds of practical knowledge, including but not limited to: counting and assigning supplies, navigation, financial math, assigning tasks, checking inventories, teamwork, and foresting." She studiously avoided mentioning anything about physical or magical prowess, neither of which she'd ever been particularly good at. In fact, she'd only ever been in one fight in her life, and she still had the scars from the draw. "Anything else I can probably learn with some training." Her amicable smile faded on the walk to the headmaster's office, but it returned in all its brilliant glory as she finished her statements.

Despite her relative confidence in her statement, a twinge of nervousness thrummed through the harpy's body. Maybe she'd come on too strong? Her feathers fluffed up again and she nervously pushed her hair behind her left ear with her wing. Maybe they were supposed to wait for the red-head man to ask for their pitch. Too late to take it back now. Brienne's mountaineer spirit flared. So be it. Whatever happened, happened, and she wouldn't be sorry for it.

Image Gem slid into the office along with Xue and the rest of the students that arrived around the same time. He could feel his mind gradually seething in annoyance as arrogant characters such as Imidius and Sen Jumin, demons...of course, made themselves apparent. They Flaunted their demonic natures like a pair of sweaty jocks swinging their manhood around trying to see which had it bigger. Gem meanwhile had no trouble disappearing in the background arms clenching his satchel his vague harmless gaze frozen in place like some sort of badly made plastic mask. He relaxed after a moment of adjusting and his gaze took on a more cool and calculative nature. Making Student counsel with this lot was going to be a challenge. However there wasn't a single problem he couldn't study his way through. He spoke up clearly, addressing Imidius, offering a hand to shake his sudden movement contradictory to his previously invisible stature.

"Sir, I am Gem Kenji, I've completed up to 11 grades of education with A levels in all general education classes as well as completing several electives including musical education and the fine arts. I've participated in Student council at human schools since the start of Highschool and am very familiar with the processes involved in establishing school clubs, organizing class treasury, and have managed to sucessfully pull off a trip for 500 students to travel across state to Florida without a single hitch. I'm probably more familiar with humans and their culture than anyone in this school and though I don't know much about monsters of any kind I assure you I'm a quick learner on ALL subjects, supernatural or no. Leader or not I hope you find me a necessary addition to the student council here."

Gem spoke with a strange kind of passion, his delicate violet gaze sharp and laser-like with the determined passion only a true nerd like him could achieve. He pushed his glasses up with a slender finger, only increasing the image, waiting for Imidius to grasp his hand and complete the shake. In times like these it was necessary to be abnoxiously arrogant, if only just to be seen. Imidius was looking for a leader, he would be that leader at all costs.

If all else fails....I could eat them all. He thought. He smiled, the corners of his mouth curling into a grin giving him a creepy, knowing look. "Let's face it, demon. You don't care about who runs this mess, you just want it to be entertaining, don't you?"
He hissed the words under his breath, barely audible but his eyes said it all quite clearly. Demons where very simple creatures when you got down to it. They all just wanted a good time after all. Their idea of a good time wasn't all that unlike his own.

Rook smiled as more entered the Headmasters office and he comfortably sat back and seemingly invisible from the rest of the group. They were all very interesting and no one seemed to be related at all by species or other wise, they were all strangers. Really this seems like the beginning of a game or a action movie of some sort but of course to a human it would be the beginning of a fantasy. His gaze gravitated around to the louder men and then on to the rest as he soaked in the sight of them all, this is who he maybe meeting the most. The people he will know for the school year, maybe even more than that if he stays and if they do. But first they have to go through with figuring out who will do what on this council if they dont all kill or eat each other first. With a raise of his hand he spoke in a sturdy baritone "I will volunteer to be the Secretary."

As people entered the office, Xue only got more and more tense; the place was getting crowded, and Xue wasn't necessarily the most accepting of strangers. The boy who smelled strongly of lizard, the girl who smelled of death, and the two adults were only the beginning though, it seemed. The first arrivals entered as the black-haired girl left, catching the door before it swung shut.

The first to arrive after them was a boy and girl. The girl smelt of a summer day and, well, birds; which judging from the wings she had instead of arms, was probably normal. He vaguely wondered if the purple hair was natural for her kind. With the supernatural, you really never could tell if it was natural or if they had dyed it, either as some attempt to fit in or out of rebelliousness in an attempt to be more human. She looked uncomfortable in the tight quarters, even more than Xue was, her wings twitching every now and then as if she wanted to fly away from this place. To her, he realized, it must be like a cage with so many people. She probably preferred nature, just as he did.

The boy though, he raised Gem's hackles with the way he scanned the room, as if not seeing them, but not because he was unable; he was dismissing their presence as if they weren't worth consideration. "I just wanted to start off by saying that I think I would be the best option to lead the student council." He stated.

Xue couldn't help it. He almost... laughed. Just because one was a strong fighter, did not mean they were a great leader, as this boy seemed to assume, though it was obvious from such a statement that he fully expected to be such. To be an Alpha was far more than ordering others around; it was taking their lives onto your own shoulders, no matter their burdens. It was a dark and weighty thing; not something to flaunt. One who could be so outwardly sure of himself as being named leader could never be a good Alpha, most likely didn't even understand what it was to actually be a leader. And then this guy comes in here like they were beneath him and instantly declares himself Alpha, unaware of how ignorant that portrayed him as; it truly was laughable that such a person even thought he was Alpha material.

Nonetheless, Xue could tell he would be a strong opponent if they were to battle. Being strongest of the pack was certainly a large part of being leader, as the Alpha was the one the pack looked to for guidance, and to save them in times of trouble; but it was not everything. Even if they were to have a dominance battle, something he assumed the school wished to avoid, Xue would never accept this person as his Alpha. However, more to the present situation, the room was small and there were a lot of weaker people, whom Xue would rather avoid harming; it was not the time or place, should the other attempt to challenge his fellow Alpha. Thus, with narrowed eyes, he edged backwards even more, preferring to watch happenings from the outside and allowing the wall to protect his back, observing from the shadows, as was a normal preference for foxes.

The girl spoke up next. "I don't care about being in charge of the council, but I feel I'd make a great addition. I'm Brienne Showalter." She stated, and then paused as she looked around at the gathered students once more before turning back to the teachers before continuing. "I don't have as much academic experience as some people, but I have other kinds of practical knowledge, including but not limited to: counting and assigning supplies, navigation, financial math, assigning tasks, checking inventories, teamwork, and foresting. Anything else I can probably learn with some training."

The girl, now dubbed Brienne, once more glanced around the room, her feathers rising as she met each gaze, and shifted nervously, her head dipping a bit in a bird-like way. Then as if something occurred to her, she straightened, head held high. Xue let her presence slip to the back of his mind; she had identified herself as both not much of a threat, but also spirited, the kind of person he could get along with. There was no need to be wary of her presence, so he let her presence slip into the same place Gem's was, the stage right above background noise and focused on the thing that was more important right now; observing, critiquing the other strangers with those critical eyes. Deciding who was friend and foe. He noted with a glance that the was a careful look in Gem's eyes, despite the vagueness of his expression, revealing to those who knew how to look that despite seeming as if he was spacing out, the was very much paying attention. Gem was worried about he other presences himself; as if Xue would allow a fight to break out with ones such as he and the Brienne girl in the room. He turned his eyes back to the strangers again, this time with traces of malice for those who would cause subordinate types to worry; it was seen as low to not inform others of your status when one first meets in the ways of the Kitsune. Yet another reason to not like the human world.

The door burst open again, revealing... a three headed dog. Alright then. Xue tipped his head curiously at the creature, as it went over to the group of students and sat down. "We're here for the student council sign up thingy!... Oh, cool we made it." The creature informed happily. Xue blinked couple times, staring, before his eyes cut to a red-headed man as he stepped forward to address the crowd of students speaking first to the arrogant black-haired demon boy.

"Now now, little boy. That kind of attitude is not that attitude of a successful leader. After all, we need to take all participants into consideration; I am Imdius! PhD in whatever-the-fuck-I-want. I'll be in charge of the student council and your science teacher." He introduced, smirking at the overconfident demon boy. Xue decided that he and this man would most likely get along; he seemed to understand, at least to some extent, what it was to be an Alpha - and his attitude even seemed to be similar on some ways to Xue's own, thus they would probably be able to see eye-to-eye on many things.

And them Gem took a step forward out of the crowd, a determined light in his eyes, and began to speak. Leader or not I hope you find me a necessary addition to the student council here."He illustrated at length, in a clear tone, offering his hand to Idmus, which the teacher accepted. Gem smiled. "Let's face it, demon. You don't care about who runs this mess, you just want it to be entertaining, don't you?"

Xue allowed himself a tiny smile; he had judged Gem's strength of character correctly, despite the front he put up.

"I volunteer to be secretary." The white-haired boy whose scent was of lizard followed up, raising his hand and then putting it down again.

Xue took another glance around, and then reviewed what information he had in his head as the group waited for another to speak up, then reluctantly realized that it would have to be him that was next. "I suppose it's my turn then." He sighed, taking a step away from the wall to address the teachers, gaze steady. "I am Xue, the Alpha Pup of the Western Kitsune Tribe. I'm not applying for the leader's position, though. I was not sent to this school to learn of my abilities; I was sent here to learn the ways of humans, and how other kinds interact with them. As such, I think a position on the Student Council would best serve my education, as a way to see past the surface of things, a behind-the-scenes place if you will. That is why I'm not applying for the leader's position; however, I do have experience leading, much more than any other student in this room in would seem. I can offer the leader my support through advice and long experience, explain things about leadership the one elected probably wouldn't even realize about such things otherwise. As such, I volunteer for one of the other two positions, and I vote for Gem and the Harpy, Brienne to be elected leader and other member." He bid at length, and then stepped back to the wall, word quota of the day completely overtaxed, and looked to the students to see which one would be brave enough to step forward next.

Imdius nodded profusely to the students words, each of them working hard to sell themselves in order to gain a place in the student council. His arms were crossed with one hand on the chin, he stood on one leg with the over crossed over, resting the toes on the floor as the rest of his body still leaned back on nothing, yet another extravagant pose. Of course, he was listening but his thoughts were still on the ignorant horned demon heir which stood in front of him, simply planning on how to mess with him even further...

What grabbed Imdius' attention was Gem's small remark, thinking that he wouldn't be heard as he smiled a little. What a cheeky little bastard. Imdius thought as his face suddenly appeared in front of Gem's, staring deeply into his purple eyes. Without a single word, he stared, the rest of his body was in the same pose, just bent over to reach Gem's height. After a few moments, Imdius smiled a smile of malice as he backed up, straightening his body to reach the some pose once again.

Looking over the group of students, Imdius lowered his hands to his waist, ready to call out his decision;
"Listening to all of your stupid remarks, I've made my decision. It seems Mister Gem and Miss Brienne have gained one vote more than the rest of you. And so, according to a democracy, they win!" He narrowed his eyes towards Sen once more, throwing a cocky smile over to him before returning to the group, "Mister Gem wins the position as Leader, Miss Brienne wins the position as Treasurer/secretary!" He paused once again, looking over the group with only one more student to grab. "The rest of you should have thought more about real world politics, think of this as a learning experience. Especially when it comes to getting a job, those who speak better, earn better... The position of Co-leader is to be Xue. We want this school is be a good school, so the council should also be good. Those with experience get more." Imdius explained, clapping a little as a small celebration of the new council before waving his arms to the side, shrugging, "I know the rest of you may have experience in other things. But without explaining, we won't know. It's nice to have a 'cool' personality -or at least attempt to- but the real world doesn't care for that crap."

"You're all little shits in the eyes of those higher. If you tell them your experience and skills, instead of ignorant claims, they will view you as 'useful little shits'." With a little pause as his arms are folded once more, Imdius gestured his head towards the door. "Those of you who won the council position stay to meet the headmaster. Everyone else... get lost."

"Wait, we didn't even have a chance to say anything!" All three heads of Jodhal called out in unison, causing them to each growl at each other with disapproval,
"I don't care, you're a dog." Imdius dismissed, not even glancing over.
The three heads directed their growling towards the red demon, crouching down as if to pounce. Suddenly, Vhal's head poked up, his growl turning back to a derpy face as Imdius held up a dead rat. Dae had lost control of the body as Vhal's mentality came around to be stronger, despite his personality. Imdius opened a nearby window with his powers, allowing him to toss the rat outside. This quickly caused Vhal to react, running as fast as the body could, shrinking a little in order to fit through the window before growing back to normal after jumping through, chasing the dead rat as it somehow flew off into the distance.

ImageAiko Nozaki
Waiting by the door of the Headmaster's office with the two items laid across her outstretched arms, one on top of another, Aiko stood patiently as she waited for her cue to enter. However, standing around with such a mass of people quickly entering the room made her nervous and thus she was a little less patient, giving the door another quick tap of her glass knuckles, just incase the Headmaster didn't hear her the first time. Whilst she stood, waiting, Aiko overheard the various introductions from the new student council members, and from what she gathered the group were..quite different to one another. A demon, a harpy, a kitsune, a three-headed dog, a human-looking boy and another, slightly less human-looking boy. She learned each of their names in turn and listened to their aspirations, the demon, Sen seemed like he wanted to take control which made Aiko wonder just how powerful the demon was. She'd shudder at the thought, if she could, though fortunately Imdius seemed perfectly capable, if not a bit too capable of handling the group.

The door of the Headmaster's opening caught Aiko's attention, and she was just about to open her mouth to speak when she found herself yanked inside by the collar of her uniform. Aiko gave a soft "Eep!" as she tried not to drop the items, and then gave herself a quick once-over to make sure nothing was broken, "S-Sir, please be careful." she reminded him, knowing he could be a bit rough at times when handling her.

Image 'Heheheh I got it'. A victorious snarl curled from Gem's thoughts becoming a satisfied smile shown on his face. Of course he got it. He was bound to after all he carried more with him than fluff and a cocky attitude. Gem was a genius. His greatest achievement this round was playing nice with Xue. "He decided it this time around. If anyone else had met him first I'd have lost."

Gem turned towards Xue, finding it appropriate to show his appreciation towards his vote only to be hit with a blast of icy air. Glass exploded violently, followed quickly by the burst of the light bulb flinging glass into Gem's fragile all too human-like flesh. Gem flinched and staggered back feeling frost form on minute hairs along his arm as he covered his face. Blood trickled from points at which tiny shards buried themselves into his skin. "Fuck!" He cursed.

Veins popped out at his temples and around his eyes as his ghoulish nature switched to self defense at the drop of a hat. The color seemed to have been drained from his face and hair giving both a dull dead look while his eyes became black marbles painted with small maddened looking red pupils. He grimaced bearing a row of jagged shark-like teeth that seemed to fit together like a puzzle when he chomped down and became flesh tearing saw blades when ground together. Glass glittered in the air as it fell from his skin like sparkle dust powder, shoved out of his skin as it healed. He shook his head, the bones in his neck crackling like firewood as he glared sidelong at Xue a playful grin on his lips. He very clearly wasn't the same Gem that gave him friendly tips on greeting before.

"Oi oi oi, that's dangerous, Xue you could hurt somebody." He said in a quiet, taunting tone. "Such power, you might blow half the school away." He swayed on his feet before squeezing his eyes shut as if trying to remember something at the tip of his tongue. Gradually the color came back to his face and he shook his head. Gem took a breath still looking a bit pale and resigned to staring into space for the moment, not bothering to explain his sudden switch. "Such a pain." He muttered to no one, making no sense to anyone but himself. In his head replayed a moment that never occured, the moment when he'd leapt across the room to bury his teeth into Xue's throat, snarling threats and insults as he burrowed his fingers into the open wounds, clinging to him like a giant spider feeling his very fingers grow stiff as near instant frostbite crawled from their tips.

After a moment passed he spoke up. "Is everyone alright?" By then another teacher seemed to have made their appearance drawn in by burst that had come from Xue. He stared nonplussed by her appearance that the strange barbed tail she used to catch the falling light fixture that had previously blown glass into Gem's face.

Rook was a bit sad that he didnt make it on the council, his impression had always been that it usually consisted of quite a few people and not just three. But never the less at least he could still use this as a reason on why he was late and not because he was true to his nature and looking at his nicely organized hoard in his dorm room. Honestly it was just now occurring to him that there had been another bed there and he probably had a roommate. He would need to go back soon to move his things or just leave them there and see how the other felt. He would fight for the wardrobe though, fight to the death over it really since it was a lot nicer looking than the closet. While some of the others displayed reactions to the very sudden decision about who made it and who didnt he had been lost in thought about maybe redecorating. So his reaction to the sudden glass of death attack was one more of annoyance than that of fear or surprise.

The cold he hadnt even noticed, he was a silver dragon, his kind relished in the cold and technically were more powerful in it. It was something that always felt nice, relaxing, and made his blood swim with call from his ancestors. It really had been a long time since he had been nice and cold since everywhere was just always warming up so easily. But the smell of fear from one of the others had the blood from his mothers side of the family race loudly in his ears. He couldnt help it, Rooks eyes started to look like his natural eyes as he started to transform back. He smelled delicious, he smelled so warm, and it smelled like prey ready for the taking with little fight. Rook stood and started to make his way to "Gem" or whatever when he was snapped back by the appearance of what seemed to be another teacher. It surprised him enough to calm himself enough to look more human again, the scales on the back of his neck and his eyes turning back to how he liked them. Looking around from a moment Rook shrugged before softly putting his hand on Gem's shoulder. With a smile he said "Congratulations on getting Leader, I hope you find it fun.

Academically, Sen wasn't really that strong. Physically though he was a quite powerful demon with much hidden talent waiting to be unlocked. Because of his I don't care unless it's fun attitude, he wasn't very smart or battle smart either. It was why he was sent to the school in the first place, his father was disappointed in how far Sen hadn't come. He was a spoiled brat really who could get what ever he wanted. Well, not anymore, his father had really just thrown him into the deep end, thrown him into an environment he had never experienced before.

Randomly, a three headed dog beast entered the room which caught him off guard. Compared to Cerberus these three seemed like pups to him. They were an interesting trio. And now it seemed the meeting on deciding the student council members, could start.

Sen stood there, letting all eyes fall on him from his statement which he found nothing wrong with. He stood up straight, arms crossed, it was obvious he was very confident, too confident. Very cocky and rude. Thinking leading the student council would be a quick way out of the school seeing as how he knew his dad would be checking on him from his home. If his dad saw how well he could lead, he thought he'd pull him out of this dump. The Demon watched the red haired Demon, waiting for his response. He seemed like a smart ass really, a wise guy, someone who loved to joke and tease others and Sen at the moment hated that. He raised a brow at the Demon, wondering when he was going to stop showing off. Until he finally spoke, to Sen. So his name was Imdius. "Little boy??" Sen muttered. That was quite belittling and annoying. He had been called something belittling twice now today and it was getting on his nerves. He simply glared at Imdius. He knew if he acted his usual self right now, his dad would send someone to privately kick his ass. However it wouldn't be hard for Sen to forget this and do something stupid.

The Harpy, Brienne then spoke up and attempted to impress the teacher. He was quite surprised by her courage to speak out in front of everyone, she didn't seem like the type. Then again she had no trouble speaking to himself earlier. A smile almost formed on his face with admiration, as if he was the cause of her selling herself like that. Or perhaps it was something else that made him want to smile? Wait no, Sen you are a broody brat. Yes, he furrowed his brow, a bit intimidated by how much Brienne had to offer. He was starting to re-think how he opened himself. He didn't think it would be that hard really, he certainly underestimated everyone. Sen noticed however, that the Harpy's feathers were now fluffed up; so she was nervous after all, but she certainly hid it well.

Another student spoke up, one he hadn't paid much attention to when he first entered the room. Well hadn't paid attention to really anyone really but anyway. He looked very human but Sen's senses said otherwise. There was more behind that composed mask he wore. And those purple eyes, how alluring they were. He watched him carefully as he stood up, shook Imdius's hand and that last part. That was what Sen was looking for. Of course he could hear what he said clearly. But it was true, he had to admit being a Demon himself, all he wanted to do was be entertained and have fun. Which is why his father threw him at the school. Yeah it would be a while before he got over that. Sen couldn't take his eyes off the male, Gem Kenji he introduced himself as. But he also hated how much he talked himself up. Even more than the Harpy. "Show off.." He muttered under his breath, looking at the guy now with a bit of a snarl. It was obvious that Sen was growing quite jealous of the students around him and he didn't know how to socialise really and win the love or interest of others. He really didn't know what to do with all these different kinds of people besides act like a dick to them unless they were kissing his ass. Anyway, Imdius didn't react aggressively like he had thought he would, he simply stared into the male's eyes with a bit of a creepy smile then sat back up without a word. He was probably used to it.

Another spoke up with a statement simple like his own. Volunteering to be secretary. He was an interesting looking guy, he was quiet and straight forward it seemed; he kept to himself but seemed quite happy. Sen didn't know what to think of him, he was quite mysterious really and he hadn't mentioned his name yet either. Come to think of it neither had Sen.

Just when he had thought everyone had spoken, another spoke up. He had kept himself hidden in the shadows until now; he had striking features that were quite attractive in his opinion. His snow white hair and crystal blue eyes, it was hard not to stare. Sen turned slightly where he stood to get a better look of him and watched him as he spoke. Xue the Alpha Pup of the Western Kitsune Tribe? He didn't know whether he should feel intimidated by the fact there was someone of similar social status to himself. Or if he should feel relieved that there was someone who would understand him and his situation. The more he spoke though the more Sen learned of how he felt about this guy. Why wouldn't someone of his status not want to be the leader? Was he being humble or did he think he was too good to be leader of something so little as the student council? Sen was confused a lot when it came to others intentions, he had to remember not everyone was as cold as himself.

He now found that Xue was an intimidating character in the sense he was a threat to Sen. And he had to admit it struck a nerve when he bluntly put out his opinion on who he thought should be the other members. Sen simply glared at him. How could he not think Sen would be the best option to be part of the student council?

Sen randomly could smell something quite foul, alcohol and eggs? That had been fossilised then brought back from the dead. A very distasteful smell. He wrinkled his nose, unaware of the strange thing that caused the smell and once it slipped away the smell was gone. How odd, he thought, too distracted by the situation at hand to pay it any more attention.

And then, finally, what Sen had been waiting for. Imdius started speaking and announced who would have what position and was part of the student council. "What?!" Sen exclaimed, surprised that someone of his class wouldn't be the leader of the council. "He's going to be the leader??" He simply looked from Imdius then to Gem, simply shocked and surprised. And very annoyed. Although he hadn't to admit them three were the better choice, he was still bummed about not getting what he wanted. It really punch a hole through his pride. Sen didn't really know what else to say, he still couldn't believe a fellow Demon would choose them over the soon to be Prince. All he could do was give everyone dirty looks.

Sen felt something pat him on the shoulder which pulled him out of his vicious thoughts for a moment. He looked to his side and noticed the Harpy was trying to comfort him. He didn't care about any other position of the council, he just wanted to be the leader, so he wasn't cross with Brienne, mainly Gem. And the teacher. He let a short, slight smile slip through before feeling a bit belittled by the fact he needed comforting from a Harpy. It was difficult for Sen not to look down on others. His smile faded, he didn't say anything in reply for a moment, he was just silent. Until Imdius caused the three headed dog to leap out the window. "I'm surrounded by idiots..." He said out loud to himself, feeling the need to face palm at the dogs well, dog like behaviour. He shouldn't have thought highly of the beast to begin with considering its appearance and obvious qualities, the way it spoke and acted, it really was like a big pup. In reaction to the beast however, he felt something suddenly smack him in the face. The Harpy's wing lowered and a quite frozen expression was revealed. He wasn't expecting that and it surprised him; wide eyed as his expression slowly changed to very annoyed. "God dammit Brienne!" It was a bit humorous he had to admit, although he didn't show he was amused. Sen once more fixed up his hair, removing strands that had gotten caught in his mouth and entangled around his set of horns. He calmed himself then grinned at the Harpy. "It's alright, guess I should get used to it." He didn't exactly want her to think he was a complete grump.

It was then that Sen felt a sudden change in temperature. The following events happened so quickly he honestly didn't know how to react to it. He wasn't afraid nor hurt, even if he had been struck by glass or zapped slightly with electricity, simple things like that didn't really hurt him as much as others. Perhaps all the action happening around him distracted him from any true pain, adrenalin kicking in. He was in a defensive mode as he looked around the room to see the cause. His eyes landed on Xue who managed to quickly get control of his abilities, is powerful outburst. Sen looked around at the others, curious of their reaction and condition; most were shocked while Gem was changing to something he hadn't expected of him. So that was what was hidden behind that delicate human-like face. Sen smirked at the male as he too held himself back, letting out words unnatural for what everyone thought of him. The other quiet male in the room suddenly approached Gem with quite hungry eyes. Sen watched, interested in what he was going to do, seeing how he was interested in the blood coming from Gem's face. However to Sen's surprised, he simply congratulated him, composing himself. The Demon raised a brow until he noticed the teacher he had spoken to earlier comforting Xue and also stopping quite the hazard with her long tail. He always saw her as quite the strong figure when he first met her and even more so now as she was not fazed by the hazard, keeping eye contact with Xue.

Everything died down and everyone seemed calm once more. Sen simply stood there with his arms crossed. "Wow. I thought I had problems. No wonder my dad sent me here." He said out loud to no one in particular. Letting out a sigh he followed Beau's words and left the room. "What ever. I'm going to my dorm." And with that he was gone. Uncertain if he really wanted to go to his dorm or to class, he didn't know where either were so, it depended on which he found first.
