Ailbhe O'Neill

Ailbhe sat threw the opening speech as everyone else did. Her long clock covered her face as she listened closely to the headmaster words. This time was the first time she ever listened to a speech. As it ended, she filed out with the rest of the students to class, but she had no sense of where her's was.
Ailbhe walked down the hallways of Montrum's completely lost. She knew that her first class was sparring, or something like that, but had not clue where it was. As she walked, she ran her fingers against the wall thinking some may it may give her a sign to where she was. Sadly it did not.
As the announcement can over the speakers, Ailbhe can to a complete stop. She did not understand at all what a student council was and what they did. She thought about finding out what it was for a second, but then decided that she would need to find her class before anything else. So like before, Ailbhe ran her fingers on the walls and she walked aimlessly down the hallways.

Bellatroix quietly slunk down the hall after the orientation. It would be some time until her class started so she had time to go over the faces of the many students attending. She could sense the feelings of abandonment radiating from several students, only natural given the circumstances. She fed upon it, however, but she also empathized, a crossroads of nurture and nature as it were that makes the culmination of her eldritch being. She ponders who will come to seek comfort on her shoulder, twisting her mouth into a wide smile.

She pauses to adjust her dress, a black dress uniform she had thrown on just to appease a certain sensibility that people seem to prefer. She would do so until told otherwise, even if it did feel incredibly restrictive for a being of her... caliber. Just as she does so she feels a sudden presence, a feeling of discontentment and perhaps, abandonment. As she scans the hallway with her bright violet eyes she locks her gaze on Sen as he walks by, in the direction of the headmaster no less. She did not recognize his face among the students in the auditorium so... latecomer? It matters not... he's got problems, and she's here to fee... ahem, help with issues.

"Greetings child, headed to volunteer for student council, I see." She says with a deep southern accent, a slight purr in her tone. "Initiative is good, but I'm 'fraid I've not caught your face at the... induction ceremony."

She was aiming to be cordial, perhaps such would take off some edge. First impressions are important after all, even to a potentially millenia-old shape-shifting primordial entity. Or maybe it is especially important in her case? Either way, nature and nurture being an intermingled drive to reach out as usual.

Xue fought the urge to cover his ears when the intercom crackled, his ears ringing from the overload to his sensitive hearing. Wasn't this supposed to be a school of the supernatural? Why couldn't they have a bit of consideration for the differences between species? Honestly. As if the assembly before hadn't been bad enough, all those people packed together, the scents mixing into an overwhelming, unidentifiable, horrible wave of body odor, unknown species, and suspiciously of some kind of animal and sex. It was disturbing and took him a full three hours to clear his nose out, the process involving a hair tie, a window, several stories of free fall, and several ribbons to distract the teacher.

But at last, fresh air! Xue wasn't quite sure how he was to be expected to survive in a place like this. Were there even any who obeyed the same cultural laws as him? Or were they all just a bunch of human-raised societally privileged imperceptible hemophobiacs? For the scents in that stupid cafeteria, he would bet on the second one.

Xue frowned up at the loudspeaker, wondering why he had chosen to come back in at all.

"YOU!" Someone suddenly yelled, and Xue twitched before turning to face the man, who smelled very oddly of a mix between human and something else, similar to how the air smelled right before a lightning strike. Xue arched a brow at him, eyeing the weapons strapped absolutely everywhere.

Hm. Maybe there were those who followed wild pack customs after all, from the way the person had challenged him so suddenly. Most likely, they behaved among themselves as their nature dictated, but left the other species out of it... he hoped the school board didn't interfere with such things, as after all, students could get seriously injured in a dominance battle. Foxes especially were fierce in their battles, their hierarchy even more clearly defined than wolves at times. This one didn't have the scent of Kitsune blood though, so the school would probably be angry if he hurt the person too badly - he obviously wasn't a student after all, and they might be angry if he hurt some random civilian.

Meeting the others' look with a steady gaze, Xue made his way quickly over, narrowing his eyes to show he wasn't going to back down and holding his head high even though it exposed his throat slightly, as the person was taller than he. Did this person think so highly of himself he thought he could take on a Snow Kitsune? Ridiculous, no one could look down on his kind. Xue almost hoped that this was the highest Alpha - at least he could prove his kinds strength right off the bat. On the other hand, he hoped this guy wasn't. Other than the scent of energy, Xue could not perceive anything all that special in his movements that would say he could match a wild Kitsune in a spar, though simply the way he stood could at least tell Xue that he was far above any of those weak little humans, so he might be quite interesting to play with after all. Thus, the only thing Xue would have to really watch out for is whatever that scent of energy entailed. If he could control lightning or something, he may have to be careful; lightning caused fire, and fire melted ice.

Xue shifted his stance ever so slightly, preparing to spring into action, allowing the challenger to have the first move when- "You two head to the nurse's office if you feel like you're about to collapse. If not, keep on doing whatever you were doing." The man said.

... What?

Collapse? Just how overconfident was this guy?

I'm going to crush him, Xue decided. Screw what the rules might say, how dare this human challenge an Alpha! How dare he think of my kind as so weak!

"I'm a maintenance technician among the staff. If all goes well you won't ever see me in action. Here, take these." The man said, a cheerfully tossed a couple of weapons from his belt, one to him, and one to the other student. Xue blinked, only just now really registering there was someone else there, having passed the kid over in favor of the challenger. This one smelled too human to be anything more than subordinate level, so Xue had naturally passed over him, only vaguely registering that there was another there. However, the man's words drew his attention to the boy a bit. With the sudden challenge, Xue had assumed the other scent must be the man's pack, forgetting for a moment that humans didn't run by the same pack principles. For Kitsune, it is a commonly accepted rule that an Alpha fight is to be left alone, only watched from a distance to observe the fight. Both their customs and instincts demanded they keep clear.

Do humans not do that? He had handed us weapons. For humans, is it that the Alphas have their subordinates fight to the death before ever joining the fight themselves?! That's horrible! Absolutely sickening!!! How could they?! Their own families...!

Xue looked down at the gun, the same kind of weapon that hunted his kind for nothing more than sport, and curled his lip back from his teeth in a snarl, knowing that if he were in his true form, his fur would be bushed out so far it would feel tingly as air hit his bare skin. I should kill him. I should kill him right now...

And then the man turned his back and walked away, back down the dark basement stairs.

"It's not every day a random adult gives you a firearm is it." Xue heard the other boy speak up, and raised his brilliant teal eyes to stare at the boy. His scent was strange, the heavy scent of death laced into it and the scent of blood a bit more powerful marking him as mostly carnivorous kind, but unmistakably human in nature, the boy was no forest creature disguised to fit in, that was certain.

Was he not the man's pack? Then why had he stayed to observe the Alpha challenge? Why hadn't he run? He had heard humans had far duller senses than foxes, but was it really so far that the boy hadn't detected the scent of his anger?

The boy put the gun in his bag and looked up at him with a friendly smile. "Best put them in here. I'll give them to the headmaster, I'm off to sign up for Student Council anyhow. This place is enough of a powder keg without weapons, don't you think?"

Xue stared owlishly.

"I'm Gem by the way. You really don't have to walk me to the nurse I'm fine. It takes a lot more than that to hurt me, despite how I look."

Xue tipped his head quizzically at the boy, replying purely because of that teacher earlier who yelled at him to make more of an effort to be human, knowing that humans would reply with some kind of comment, and he might get in trouble if he didn't.

Besides, he didn't mind indulging the boy a bit. His obliviousness kind of reminded Xue of one of his little siblings, and he was an Alpha. The younger and subordinates were the Alpha's to take care of, so yes, he must respond to the lower ranked one. But what the heck would a human say in a situation like this? Hm... some kind of reassurance that he was not harmed either, and that the challenge had not phased him, as he was an Alpha... "I wasn't even the one run into, yet he thought I would pass out. Damn idiot." Xue replied hesitantly.

The slightly surprised look on the boy's face made Xue think he had thought wrong. Maybe he truly hadn't scented that Xue was an Alpha, and only just realized?

Humans were so goddamn weird.

A jaunty tune whisked past the harpy's lips as she meandered through the hallways. The flapping of her sable wings provided a sharp counterpoint to the peaks and valleys of her cheerful whistling, giving her the persona of a songbird. The halls of the school somewhat reminded Brienne of a cave she'd spelunked through with her father a year ago. Tunnels of stone crossed high-vaulted pockets untouched by sunlight. Dark fingers of ancient stalactites curled down, casting strange shadows across water-rippled walls. The soft trickling of eternal draining water countered David's steps and the occasional rustle of Brienne's feathers. Even drawing a map while they traveled, the pair eventually had to leave a visible trail to return to the entrance.

Though her mind wandered quasi-real landscapes of damp rock and underwater rivers, her body floated aimlessly through the halls, switching direction at random. By the time her brain returned to the present, the harpy realized she had no clue where she ended up. Like that maze of a cave, the school turned her around effectively. Either that, or she accidentally ended up in the most boring limbo of all time while she wasn't looking. Brienne never attended school before today and she already knew that flying through school halls for the rest of eternity was a worse punishment than death.

Deciding to pick up the pace, she swerved around a corner and nearly ran into someone. Halting her headlong flight nearly propelled her into a wall, blowing a rather large gust over the unfortunate person. Dropping onto her taloned feet, Brienne hopped back on her thin bird legs and tilted her head. Sharp, chocolate-coloured eyes examined the other person - no wait, there was someone else too? - in the hall. The man she'd nearly hit looked a bit older than her, and strange horns protruded from his head. Her mind immediately tried to measure them up to an elephant's ivory or a bull's sharp horns, both in form and strength. Not that she'd seen an elephant in person, but she'd read about them. His height impressed her somewhat, as did the stature of his form. Intimidate, however? Not a bit.

Her nearly unblinking eyes fixated on the other form moments later. It definitely looked mostly human, but something seemed... off about her. The unnatural height, for one. That, and the strange eyes. If she was trying to pass as pure human, the creature needed far more practise than that. The tall woman's lips vaguely reminded the harpy of blood sausages pressed together, while the star on her cheek brought up memories of a glam rock star. The mental image of the lady bedecked in a leather outfit from the 70s and a heavily modified guitar sprang to mind.

Blinking slowly, Brienne finally realized she nearly ran over two people and proceeded to quietly stare at them for a good thirty seconds. Coughing awkwardly, she offered a tentative wave with one wing. "Erm, sorry about that. Didn't look where I was going. My name is Brienne, who are you?" She glanced at the man first, then the glam rock lady, looking between the two as she awaited an answer.

ImageThomas took the moment to let his gaze wander through the group of students that remained in the sparring class. That one boy that had glanced in looked and even felt like a human. His soul that was. Thomas wondered what he was, he couldn't have been human since he was there. He shrugged it off inwardly and observed the introduction to the sparring room. As he listened his gaze strayed to the other students that remained. Thomas, although he spent his life in the thick of humans he hadn't really come into contact with other people of supernatural nature. He took notice of the ghost wondering how something with no physical manifestation would fight in Sparring. He stared at her momentarily. Thomas was a minor god whose specialty was the manipulation and care of spirits and he'd never seen a spirit take form like that. 'Perhaps human souls are different in some way.' He thought. His mind wandered to the little boy whose soul he'd touched 18 years ago. It would have been nice to have him linger for a while. Tom didn't get a chance to thank him after all. The boy had given him a purpose that meant something.

Thomas snapped out of his reminiscence to observe the rest of the class. He dove his hands into the pockets of his fake fur lined coat. There was a female with an aura that seemed to draw on him like the scent of catnip. He twitched his nose at the sight of her delicate china doll like features and her vibrant red hair. A delicate coppery iron scent came from her. Whatever she was required a significant amount of blood he assumed. Not too far from her was a guy with an obnoxiously confident look on his face. He didn't have any horns on him or anything but Tom had a feeling that he wasn't one to be fucked with either. He averted his gaze. The other girl there with them seemed to have a hostile air around her, she reminded him of those people forced into the same room as cats who would almost seem to fold into themselves whilst attempting, uselessly to shoo the cat away. He smirked at the thought. Cats had a different standard for who is acceptable and who isn't. Not being incredibly social cats will cling to the one who is least clingy, or the one who wants them around the least. He smiled warmly towards Shame and waved, the tip of his tail twitching this way and that.

Gem meanwhile took a closer look at the student he was with, bewildered by his response. He let his hand drop feeling as if he'd stumbled into a new country and done his greeting terribly wrong. He couldn't help but think that this person operated on a completely different wavelength than he did. He thought about this momentarily and took in the student before him he adjusted his glasses needlessly. White hair, a distinct ozone scent like the scent before a storm, a winter storm specifically. Gem assumed it was due to some sort of snow related power. His shape was utterly human like himself yet he gave off. Ah...that's it. I completely overlooked it.

"I apologize, having lived with humans all my life I've yet to identify and understand other supernatural beings. You're a kitsune aren't you? I've read all about your kind but I've had yet to meet one in person." He explained, bowing in apology. "I'm a ghoul. Not particularly strong by your standards, probably but incredibly durable and very hard to kill. Thank you for finding it worth your while to speak to me."

It pained him to stoop like this. Inwardly he gritted his teeth, a more bloody ruthless nature writhing in thoughtless annoyance. It wasn't as if he could eat him so it bewildered him a bit to feel such a reaction. That side rarely stirred when he wasn't hungry. He may not taste good but imagine what his insides would look splayed across the floor!

"Well, I must get on, Student council and all....ah....where are you headed?" He asked, ignoring the thoughts seeping from the dark corner of his mind. On the outside he maintained his innocent weak looking nature, a delicate smile on his lips.

Xue blinked, finally seeing a gesture he recognized; the boy, Gem, was sizing him up, classifying him, deciding where he stood.

"I apologize, having lived with humans all my life I've yet to identify and understand other supernatural beings. You're a kitsune aren't you? I've read all about your kind but I've had yet to meet one in person." Gem began. Xue tipped his head ever so slightly; the boy didn't know his supernaturals well, and yet could tell by what he did know, and apparently by scent if the little tip of the head that Xue knew was to go by, that he was a Kitsune. He gave a small bow that Xue determined must be a human form of recognition.

"I'm a ghoul. Not particularly strong by your standards, probably but incredibly durable and very hard to kill. Thank you for finding it worth your while to speak to me." Gem continued.

Xue returned the greeting with a nod, as he didn't exactly have ears or a tail in this form to communicate with as he usually would, which at the moment felt incredibly strange as his body gave the command for his tail to flick. "Xue of the Snow Kitsune." He responded, again tipping his head. Gem's body language was stiff; he didn't like having to submit, like a young dog fox encountering the territory of another elder Alpha, but the rabbit was right there, just within the territory lines... that situation had been so annoying.

The scent of blood and death in the boy's scent wavered slightly, flickering stronger for a moment. Xue opened his mouth ever so slightly to draw in the scent, wondering at the change. All living creatures had the scent of blood and death, but it was much stronger in this boy than other humans. Was that because he was a ghoul? And interesting effect of his kind, to change the very scent. Was it particular to him for those scents to become stronger? If so, how was he supposed to differentiate between Ghoul and Human, if the scent could change? Xue's mother had once said he had a bit less fox in his scent than most Kitsune, replaced with a slight increase in the scent of cold, but snow after all didn't really have a scent, merely made the air cleaner and cooled it. Xue kept his ice abilities firmly reigned in while inside the school, to prevent freezing the other students, so it wouldn't have to cooling effect just then, leaving only the crisp inflection. Like mint, perhaps. But his scent had never wavered. It was interesting that it was possible to do so. Emotion could make slight changes in a scent, but the base scent would always stay the same.

"Well, I must get on, Student council and all....ah....where are you headed?" Gem inquired of him.

"Nowhere really. Just... wandering." He replied vaguely.

Gem hiked up his school bag a bit, glancing down at it, where it contained the gun. Which reminded Xue...

Xue walked over to the nearest window, and opened it as wide as it would go, and then took a three steps back, glancing at the gun in his own hand one last time. Then he lunged forward, and leaned into the stance to the point of almost loosing his balance as he threw the gun out the window just as hard as he could, making sure to direct it upwards a bit so that it would be enough to break the metal when it came down to earth, and allowed himself a small satisfied smile as he saw it cut through the air like a bird and sail far enough out that it would fall all the way off the steep drop of the mountain into the dip below. After a moment or two it disappeared from even his advanced sight.

The tiny smile dropped when he turned away from the window and into a curious look again as he saw that Gem was staring at him. "I... don't like guns?" Xue attempted, looking from the window back to Gem again.

Rook had been messing with his room since he had arrived, it has to look perfect for some place he was going to stay for knows how long. Everything from his home was stuffed into the room with all of his walls covered with shelves full jewelry too bewitching for them to be anywhere but in maximum security. Whatever space was left was covered in beautiful rugs and fabric made from only the finest weavers and dyers, some older than man. All in all it was a crowded but colorful room and Rook had spent the whole morning staring at the perfection of his decorating skills before an announcement for student council or something along the lines of it. It broke his admiring and helped him realize he might be a bit late for his first day. Really he wasnt bothered by it since he is an adult by more than just human standards and he really didnt need to be in school anymore, but there was a reason. He had made a promise to give it a try and he really cant go back against it.

Hurrying to get out he double checked himself in the mirror, smoothing down invisible lines in the sides of his shirt before running out the door. The outside was hot, at least to him and the air was too thick for what he had been use to until recently. Hell everything is different but not compared to when he is shifted to his real form, as beautiful and mighty as it is. After thinking about some possible excuses to why hed be late without embarrassing his family, Rook decided it was best just to run off to the student council thing, least then he can say he was there.

Sen was thinking of ways to make his father pay for sending him to the school. It was really playing on his mind how his father thought it was a good idea, how was sending him to this place a good idea? Sen felt he didn't need any correcting in his ways or attitude so he couldn't understand why he was sent to the Monstrum Asylum.

Still brooding and not really wanting to talk to anyone just yet, he thought he heard someone speaking, to him? He began to think, who in the world would randomly want to speak to him? He turned to see the face of a female who was obviously not human, to no surprise. He had never seen anyone like her though and her appearance was intriguing, even if she did look similar to a human. She had a rather strong and mysterious aura about her. It was just a feeling he got. Perhaps she was a teacher? Or maybe her height gave off the strong impression. Having a woman taller than himself did make him feel a bit belittled, it irritated him slightly.

After a while of staring at her, puzzled and impatient, she spoke once more. She spoke of how she had not seen him at the intro ceremony. He raised a brow with slightly narrowed eyes, almost glaring at her. "Is that a problem?" He replied, almost challenging her. Whether it was a problem or not didn't matter to him though, he needed to leave his high-and-mighty attitude behind him because it most certainly would not work here. He'd learn the hard way.

A sudden gust of wind hit him and his long, black hair blew forward creating a mess of strands in places they shouldn't be. Furrowing his brow, he fixed his hair and turned to see what in the world caused wind indoors. "What the bloody hell is it now?" A clumsy Harpy that's what. Although, she was beautiful. That wouldn't stop him from keeping up his I hate everything attitude. He stared back at her as she was silently starring back for roughly thirty seconds and he was confused. Was there something on his face? What was wrong with her? Until finally she spoke. Apologising and stating she wasn't looking where she was going. "Ya think?" Then she introduced herself and expected himself and the taller woman beside him to reply with their name's. He wasn't used to this, random people approaching him like he was your everyday common folk. He disliked the lacking feeling of importance. "I'm Sen Jumin and I should be the Prince of hell right now but nooo." The rest of his sentence was muttered cursing of his father and annoyed sighs. He stopped himself from complaining any further however, he had somewhere to go. "Anyway. Real nice meeting you both, have to go do something important now. On my way to lead the student council." He was being sarcastic about the first part and overly confident about being head of the student council, as if it were already planned for him to be in charge. Even though he had no idea how to get to the headmaster's office, he believed he would somehow get there with no problems.

Brienne brushed her hair out of her face again with her wing. Its plush feathers tickled her nose during the sweeping motion, almost causing her to sneeze. Sniffing to contain the reflex, the harpy rustled her plumage to cover up the sound. Good job, Bri. You're doing so well already. Though the man's first words to her were rather blunt, bordering on rude, she couldn't fault him for it. She did nearly plow straight into his back. Instead, she kept her amicable smile. No reason to start the year with any bad blood, right?

The next thing Sen said caught her off-guard. Prince... of Hell? Strange that a prince wouldn't go to his own special school for royals or the social elite. Instead he plopped down among a band of students and teachers that ran the gamut from semi-normal to that strange Cerberus-creature. Plus they even let her in, and she hadn't attended any school before. Really though, she didn't care about his status. Brienne didn't live in Hell, after all. Furthermore, if they were both students, he didn't hold any rank over her that way either.

Flapping her inky wings, the harpy took off once again, filling the hallway with an occasional breeze. The... was he a devil or a daemon? Was there a difference? Probably. Making a mental note to ask someone about it later, she listened to the last statement Sen made. He planned to be the leader of the student council? Fair enough. Brienne herself had no designs on a specific spot, she simply wanted to participate in something.

"Wait! I'm headed that way too, we should go together." Plus there was someone right here to ask for directions! Adventurous though she was, Ms. Showalter had no intention of wandering around until the time limit was up. Turning her attention to the glam rock lady, she queried, "Do you know where the headmaster's office is? I, erm... accidentally tore my map."

Amelia StuartImage
Once the class had seemingly settled down and the tutor because talking, Amelia gave a heavy sigh, wondering just how many more years of dull education she'd have to repeat over and over again. Being around the age of 18 when she was bitten meant Amelia has already sat through countless repeat years of highschool, and Monstrum - though it had it's quirks - didn't seem to be quite different.

Amelia considered getting up and leaving the room, it seemed a good handful of students already had, possibly with the same motive as her; boredom. Sparring wasn't much use to Amelia anyway, she already knew how to attack and how to defend, fighting for a meal was all she ever really did, of course she did have a few hobbies such as reading, but 152 years had given her plenty of time to finish reading an entire library or two, so now most books seemed rather dull to her.

As the teacher lead the class through to a separate room, Amelia paused by her desk for a moment as she fought within her mind on whether she should use now as an excuse to leave or not, but she only had a brief moment to think as the classroom was emptying through the portrait rather quickly - "Bother.." she bit her lip and sighed, following the other through the painting and into the apparent 'physical activity' room.

ImageAiko Nozaki
Being one of the only secretaries at Monstrum, and also being the main Librarian, Aiko was forced to sit alongside the other teachers and facility staff as the headmaster gave his welcoming speech which Aiko had heard oh so many times before - infact she could even repeat it word for word if she wanted to, though luckily for the sake of anyone who didn't want a word-for-word repeat of the headmaster's speech, Aiko didn't talk much.

As soon as the assembly was over, Aiko darted her way back to the main office just outside of the Headmaster's, and sat at the desk she had proudly claimed hers after having proven to be a worthy secretary of the leading head Monstrum himself. Aiko sat and waited silently at her desk, her porcelain fingers making a dangerous sound as the tapped against the keyboard keys of the computer she'd been provided in order to sort all of the needed files so Mr.Monstrum knew where to find them. Mr.Monstrum was a very busy man, running a school was difficult, especially when the students were all non-human beings with special needs to be taken care of.

Aiko had just finished typing up the names of all the students who required 'fresh meat' for their meals when the arrival of the Headmaster made her jump. Aiko quickly scurried from her seat and stood by the office door to bow in greeting and see if the Headmaster required anything of her, though strangely he didn't say a word and simply strode through to his office, Aiko too returning to her post at the desk. She heard the Headmaster's phone buzz within his pocket, and from the corner of her eye she'd seen him jump visibly, clearly he was on-edge over something, Aiko assumed it was down to it being a new year with more and newer student joining, meaning lots of work to be doing. Aiko gave a soft sigh, slouching back in her seat slightly for a moment as she looked over her checklist of forms and other such things to complete before the first week of the year is over, lessons and accommodation had been sorted, but there were still various other necessities that had yet to be completed.

The familiar crackle of the intercom which sounded just before whatever the Headmaster was going to say told her that he'd already been thinking about the workload too, "Would anyone interested in taking part in the student council report to my office in half an hour?" the Headmaster said over the intercom, leaving it at that. The student council! Of course! How could Aiko have forgotten the Headmaster's plans for forming a student council? Quickly, Aiko jumped up from her seat and hurried to the Headmaster's door, giving it a quick tap of her knuckles before entering.

"M-Mr. Monstrum, I..!" the girl sputtered out, but was cut short when she noticed another presence in the room- Imdius, the science teacher, "M-my apologies.." she mumbled in embarrassment, giving a bow of respect before backing out of the room and closing the office door behind her, stopping outside the door for a moment to take a deep breath to calm herself, "Student council.." she mumbled to herself, heading back to her desk to frantically look for an empty register and a few other things she could set up for the student council members-to-be could sign.

Bellatroix simply chuckles at the somewhat blustering attitude of the demon prince. She took no offense, and why would she? It took something more significant than mild disrespect to rile her. In fact, it may have had the exact opposite effect. As she begins to respond to Sen she is cut short by a sudden gust and the sound of flapping of wings. Her long stringy black hair managing to cover her eyes. As she uncovers them and looks over to the source of the wind she finds yet another student. A harpy no less, and seeming be rather lost.

"Worry not, child... accidents, they happen even to the best of us." She says, simply amused at the girl's clumsy entrance, then realizes that she has yet to introduce herself. "Oh dear, so rude of me, I am Beau Geste Bellatroix, but any shortening of it is acceptable."

She takes a courteous bow, like an archaic noble, a habit learned when studying human customs back home. As the poignant prince and haphazard harpy made short conversation they began heading off for the headmaster. She smirked thinking how amusing this may become, such contrasting personalities intermingling. The boy had already claimed leadership after only recently taken foot in the halls. This is going to be a fun year.

"Oh, I will be teaching botany by the way, I promise it will be funducational! Perhaps even a bit... humbling... for some." Her tone is jovially sing-song at this point, then droning into cryptic, a look of guile upon her face. "Anyways, take care children, try not to get into any trouble."

The Headmaster leaned back and slid a cabinet open on his desk, taking out a large bottle of rich alcohol, ignoring Imdius for the time being. He poured four glasses. scooting one towards the demon and shotgunning... the entire bottle, tossing it back into the drawer and letting the shot glasses sit. "What do you need, Imdius? Any issues today? Something causing your skin to crawl?" As his trusted maintenance man, adorned in tools and weapons, entered the room, he rose and set a shot glass on the other side of the desk. "Is everything in order beneath us, Strelok? No leaks? No seals busted? The gate is stable? This year your job will be ever more important. My son is here, and you know what that means. Oh, Aiko, come back in here. I have need of you." As he called his secretary in, he set down yet another shot.
"A demon prince's spawn, my son, and a godling among other things this year. Remind me to retire after this, please." He took his own shot glass and held it up. "I don't remember who we're protecting anymore. Humanity from our kind, or our kind from humanity. Be that as it may... I toast, to another year of disappointment, stress, and saving the world.
Image

The tall immortal stood slowly and began to pace behind his desk. "There are many things that I require everyone here to do in the coming week. First things first, make sure that there is no fighting. Keep the vampires away from the werewolves and visa versa. On the subject of vampires, make sure that they are well fed before they get close to Sanguin. I don't want another incident. Strelok, I need you to run a few errands outside of just your usual work. If you can find the time, I need you to procure a displacer beast and three unicorns. Don't ask. He circled the desk and put his hands on Aiko's shoulders, smiling warmly at her "Aiko, my gorgeous, trusted secretary. I need you to pick up a few things. The necronomicon and the mask of nyarlethotep. Strelok can show you where the vault is. He knows his way around the sub basement. He kissed her on the cheek before turning and facing the demon. "Now... Imdius... can I trust you to look over the student council? The children will be arriving any minute, and as such I need you to help me choose the best candidates. We need three positions filled. Can you handle that?"
Image

Waylen turned and leaned against his desk, looking at the four assembled around him. "Now. You have your jobs. Go do them."

Randal "Flags" Monstrum

Image

Flags stood from his chair in the auditorium and shrugged at the two dispondant girls, choosing to find a new stage instead of being ignored. He brought up his schedule on his tablet and read over it, noting that "Sparring" was first on the list. It didn't take him long to find the class, and enter the painting with the rest of them.
Image

He really didn't need this class. He knew how to fight. He knew the magic to get him out of situations if he couldn't fight. In the end, even if he couldn't fight, it's not like he couldn't die.

so, seeing as he had nothing really to risk, Flags decided that it was time to get this show on the road. "So, teach... What's this class for again? Seems pretty silly considering most races are naturally gifted at fighting" The boy stretched, popping his back and sighing as he turned and punched the student next to him in the face.

ImageAiko Nozaki
(void the part where Aiko returns to her desk)
To her surprise, the Headmaster called her back into the office just as she was halfway out the door. Aiko nodded sheepishly and re-entered the room, only then did she notice that the janitor, Strelok, was also in the room alongside Imdius. In all honesty, the two scared her quite a bit, Imdius' overall menacing looks and the fact that Aiko hadn't ever seen Strelok's face was enough to give her the chills each time she saw either of them. Regardless, she stood obediently by the desk and awaited her orders, shaking her head shortly to politely decline the drink poured out for her, unable to take in any form of substance due to her internal anatomy, or therefor lack of - Aiko's porcelain shell contained nothing but her soul, not even an exit point, so if she was to drink the liquid the only way out would be back through her mouth again.

Once the Headmaster had finished speaking with the janitor, it seemed to be Aiko's turn to receive instructions. The doll's porcelain frame couldn't help but flinch as her shoulders were touched, but the warm smile from the Headmaster that followed seemed to put her somewhat at ease, at least for the time it took for the Headmaster to explain what he wanted of her. Aiko gave a nod to show her understanding and once again jumped quite visibly as she felt a kiss land upon her cold, glossy cheek. In response Aiko mumbled something almost inaudible which sounded along the lines of "Yes Sir", her eyes flickering back and forth from the floor to the Headmaster, not wanting to seem rude but unable to hold eye-contact for long after what seemed like such an intimate act (to her). If she could blush, she would have, but her body movement quite obviously showed her embarrassment just as well as any discolouring of the cheeks could.

Aiko was released from her squirming as the Headmaster turned around to then address Imdius, her relief was obvious by the fact that she'd stopped shaking and could actually form proper sentences again. The doll turned on her heel to face Strelok, "Would you mind uhm.. taking me to the sub basement? W-when you have time, of course.." her voice still hadn't recovered from the stumbling and mumbling, but her tone was usually quiet anyway.

"What do you need, Imdius? Any issues today? Something causing your skin to crawl?" The words from the headmaster were slightly offensive to the egotistical demon, there's no way his skin would ever crawl.
"PAH!" Imdius replied, "Like fuck would my skin be crawling, I'm just bored and you look like you're shitting razorblades." He laughed once more as he caught the shot glass as it moved across the desk, nodding as a sign of thanks as he took another puff on his cigarette before holding the shot glass up with the headmaster.

"I don't remember who we're protecting anymore. Humanity from our kind, or our kind from humanity. Be that as it may... I toast, to another year of disappointment, stress, and saving the world." The headmaster stated before taking his shot, the rest of the people in the room quickly followed. Imdius gave off a large sigh of relief as he lowered the glass back to the desk. "Damn, this shit's good." He called out as he noticed he was the only one sitting down. This caused him to quickly stand, just to fit in, taking more puffs on his cigarette as he did so. One hand was pushed into his pocket as his whole body was leaning backwards and to the side slightly, redefining swag in the most natural way possible.
After basking in his whole glory, Imdius was pulled back to reality by the headmaster as he turned to give his order;
"Now... Imdius... can I trust you to look over the student council? The children will be arriving any minute, and as such I need you to help me choose the best candidates. We need three positions filled. Can you handle that?"
"Pfft. Of course I can do that. Gives me something to do after all, I need more little shits to insult." Again, he laughed at his own words...

Strelok didn't ask questions. He never did. It was because, frankly speaking, he didn't care about the whys and wherefores. Come hell or high water; a larger, uglier version of the bastard child Randy or the end of the world, he would do his job the same way he always did - the way that worked. So really, unicorns and a displacer beast didn't phase him in the slightest. He'd just take a helicopter to what remained of the Schwarzwald at some point and capture three of the most endangered and dangerous magical creatures so jealously guarded by the elves of the area. A shame they'd be hostile to him, too; they made the most fantastic bratwürst and beer. If only he could ignore that small detail where they ate humans which were killed upon going too deep into their woods.

His reply to his employer was short and curt as was the nature of discussions of the Business. It was written in the contract, after all, that only the Headmaster was permitted to divulge any details of the sub-basement complex. Strelok read that as 'don't speak to others of what you work on'. Which was a thing he'd do gladly. Trade Secrets and all that were to be kept.

"Nothing is amiss down there. I'll get on it." Six words and he turned before the man had finished drinking down his refined fermented potato juice of calmness.

His old friend and boss Waylan was tall, jaded as balls and drinking to drown his sorrows. Tuesday five-oclock as usual, it seemed. He had yet to teach the man - Or was he God? Beast King? Magician? Jewish mysticist? He never worried anymore - about the drinking ways of the hill-folk, and it seemed like he never had the time to. Too bad, so sad. Not his problem to deal with right now.

He gave a nod to the Headmaster, recognizing the pregnant nature of the minute and deigning to leave, as student-related things he loathed with a passion. He turned, the not so well known member - well, to him anyway - among the staff by name of Imdius falling into his field of view for a second. The redhead was rude and brash, as those of the hair color were wont to be. Not Strelok's business, so he didn't care.

Upon the completion of his turn, he turned his masked head to look at the other figure in the office who had asked him a question, the one much more known and affectionately remembered by him. Aiko the Doll, secretary and general paperwork warrior that he shunted off all of his reports to Waylan to.

When she finished her nervous question, though, Strelok got even leerier than he usually did. Gesturing her forward outside the headmaster's office with a tilt of his head, he walked out the doors, leaned to close them behind her and then fixed her with a worried stare. Not that she could tell, as his face was masked, but the gesture was there. For his peace of mind rather than her own, but still.

"Aiko, what's this? Why do you want to know of my workspace so readily?" he asked of her. Of course, he couldn't actually bring her down to the deep parts. But the man tried to keep the working friendliness up, for courtesy's sake if nothing else.

She mumbled something. Strelok had to strain to hear it over the sound of the school's bell alert system ringing. She started again, telling him about something along the lines of "want to know more about my colleagues". Strelok put a hand to his mask and behind it he discreetly rubbed his face against the edgy plastic interior.

Truth was, he wasn't going to show her to the sub-basement. Not the true depths of it where the lights often failed, water leaked, anomalies arose and mutants prowled...

Not for the first time, Strelok was thankful for this mask which concealed his face. It hid the dead-eyed stare that crept up onto his face at that moment in time, it might have unnerved even the porcelain secretary. It wasn't like the whole thing was unsanctioned, though; if Walyan had something to say against it, he probably would have said it. To call him a sharp operator would be a gross understatement - Strelok had never seen the man falter, in either battle or business. In fact, Strelok indeed personally believed that Waylan Monstrum was one of the last remaining pillars of the old world.

"Aiko." he began. "The underground complex is restricted to the majority of staff and students alike. Do you mean to tell me our boss-" he gave a jerk to the direction of the office, where something loud made a noise. "Hasn't told you of the things our workplace holds?"

Her shy shaking of the head answered in the negative. Strelok gave a sigh, before taking on a cheery attitude.

"Very well. I can't show you anything more than the first level where I sleep and keep my gear, but I'll take you down."

Strelok gave a nod, turning on his heel and walking out the office blocks, and to the tower's elevator before pressing the ground floor button and leaning against the wall. While the elevator went down - and Strelok had the nagging suspicion that Aiko was looking at him the entire time - he was gazing in the direction of the screws holding the roof mounting together, as if looking through them to see the elevator's mechanisms above to see whether or not they needed maintenance. To that, he sincerely hoped not. He replaced the damn things only two years ago - the certification on them was for four times that number, and the warranty guaranteed at least twelve years of operation. Then again, perhaps extra preventative maintenance on them was what he deserved for purchasing the things out of Helsinki & Son Smeltries instead of Ügenbörst-Halvella Foundryworks.

He had put his contacts he acquired over the years to good use. Granted, it might be a little petty to call in life debts for something as small as precision-machine fastenings or elevator cables or titanium powerline protective coverings, but Strelok maintained the notion that it was all worth it.

A short, silent walk out of the elevator of their boss's Tower and into the main building, then down through one of the hatch doors. Now, when you come up against these things, it's often good to recognize them on sight, and have the strength of an ox to lift the things. Six feet by two and a half, set into the ground, had to be lifted vertically. The two went down the hatch and the ladder with little fuss, Strelok closing it with a boom above them and re-locking the blood seal on it with a little of his own. These monsters weren't the piddly staircases leading to the underground storage rooms that the majority of the facility's basements were.

In truth, each tunnel that wasn't an emergency elevator to the places above would all converge to one walkway in an attempt to choke whatever might be coming up out of the underground complex. A side-room from this walkway led them through another, smaller, tunnel which lit up at Strelok's activation of a light switch and showed a few side-rooms.

"This is my equipment room. Stay out or some of it might activate on you." Strelok commented as he opened one of the smaller, lighter doors on the left and gave Aiko enough time to peer confusedly at shelves and shelves and shelves' worth of tools and equipment, as well as workbenches of the wooden, metal and welding variety, as well as a lathe, milling machine, bandsaw and table saw and guillotine before closing and stepping forward and along, forcing Aiko to step away from him and go down along the hallway. She looked confused.

"This is my weapons room. Same deal. And I know if some of it goes missing." Strelok said, giving much the same deal with the room - allowing a brief glimpse of it before shutting the door and moving forward. She appeared to be as confused by that as she was with the previous.

Next room was where he relaxed, lived and slept when not on duty. Before he could open the door, though, a very light pressure fell on his shoulder. In earlier years he would have reflexively flinched, drawn his knife and tried to cut off the fingers of whoever it was that tried. Nowadays he just glanced up in surprise.

Aiko was holding his shoulder. And she wasn't able to go tomato red, but she certainly went through the facial expressions for it.

"Strelok..." And after all these years, his name still sounded weird being spoken by her, "I do not believe you should keep me from our Headmaster's request any longer."

"What request would that be?" Strelok asked, suspicious of the Japanese doll.

"I was ordered to the vault. I am sure you know which one. I cannot tell you the reason behind my going there." she stated in a way that would have seemed emotionless and abrupt, but Strelok knew this was her equivalent of speaking a million words a minute and at a high-pitched tone of embarrassment.

It was then that Strelok knew he had misheard orders from his boss.

He shut his mouth with a near inaudible click of his teeth, closed the door and indicated for her to follow him. The door at the end of the hall had nine keypads on it. Strelok pressed out a combination across all of them with the fast pace of long practice. Eventually, the - wooden - door opened.

Directly behind the wooden door was a haphazard - if devastatingly effective - device consisting of an automated anti-tank cannon on a gimballed mount aiming directly at the door. It was because he entered the code correctly that he was not blown to pieces. Spelled in tape on the gunmetal grey shield of the cannon - the part that was curved, facing forwards, generally deflecting shrapnel and small arms fire - were the words "DON'T JUST STAND THERE, COME IN".

Strelok led Aiko through the doorway and around the cannon. Past it was yet another door, which led into yet another - if smaller - hallway. He led her to the third entryway on the left, keying in a code which opened the sturdy blast door, leading directly into the vault that Walyan ordered both of them to go to. Or rather, the "vault".

The maintenance technician nodded, closing the door behind the doll and heading back. An echoing snarl from around the corner told Strelok that the mutants were due another culling.

Some time later, the secretary emerged from the sub-basement tunnels, without Strelok. Nobody worried, though. He'd come up when he was done.

Image Gem stared, astonished as he watched Xue pitch the firearm out the nearest window with a strength and velocity he'd never quite seen before. Ghouls did have their own brand of strength derived almost completely by the maddened rage that comes with the desire to feed. It wasn't really a kind of strength you could control with reason or training for that matter. "Nice pitch." he muttered watching the gun disappear with a glint of metal.

He should have asked Xue to throw his gun away as well, so that it would simply be destroyed but something in the back of Gem's mind told him to keep it in his bag. He couldn't have explained it if he wanted to. "If you like you can come to Student counsel with me. It beats going to class. Those who make student counsel will get to determine some of the main activities for the grade, as well as organizing clubs....if this is similar to a human school that is. I'm not entirely sure what the rules here are. Or you can head off to Sparring. I doubt you need to be taught how to fight though."

Gem gave Xue a half smile then turned to head on towards the Headmaster's office. If Xue wanted to follow and join him he would. He was a little curious about Xue. His mannerisms where different, no doubt he learned interactions differently. Kitsune had other forms after all perhaps he communicated like a wild fox did. Gem mentally pictured Xue with a cartoon pair of fox ears, a tail, and a pair of exaggeratedly large pair of paws panting and waving his tail back and forth like a pleased puppy. A quiet chuckle snuck it's way out of him at the thought. Decidedly Xue would look comically adorable as a fox neko. Gem doubted Xue would appreciate the thought and decided to keep it to himself.

Xue watched as the gun disappeared with a dramatic twinkle of sun against metal.

"Nice pitch." He heard Gem murmur, and merely shrugged in return.

Gem turned to leave, and after a moment of deliberation Xue followed. Despite his love for testing out his strength against opponents, being in a room with a whole bunch of other people and outright fighting them, even if it was not with intention to kill, did not sound enjoyable. Despite common rumor, foxes were not vicious by nature; they didn't like spilling blood and preferred avoiding encounters with stranger packs rather than fighting. It wasn't that they had an aversion to it, they would not back down if challenged; they just preferred not to unless there was an actual reason. Playfighting among packmates was one thing. Testing your skills against another simply for the sake of it in an outright fight was another.

Xue would prefer to have time to observe his classmates before he would fight against them. Going into a battle against strangers, no matter how minor, was something to be careful about. He would watch the others fight before he would ever join that class. Gem said a good way to decide ones activities was to join this council thing; perhaps going to this meeting thing would be best, regardless of following this curiosity of a human... ish... person... creature.

With that in mind, he trotted after, with his natural short, quick gait, and noticing the tap of shoes against floor was far softer when he walked than when the human did, wondering why they walked in such long steps, as it was something he noticed most humans did. "No, I don't partially need to be taught anything on that particular front. Humans however, now that is another matter. What does a bow mean in human culture? It looks strange." He responded with a faint, nearly unnoticeable note of amusement.

Shame shuddered, covering her red eye with her palm, fear coursing through her. She turned back to the cat boy. Her eyes relaxed calmly with a slightly shy smile, her canines poking over her lip with the shy smile. She looked down at the shadow circle, watching it stand and fall like it was attracted to something or someone. She felt a chill crawl up her spine when the boy waved. Her purple eye locked with his flickering tail as the shadows acted up again. The cat? Really Shame? She said to herself as she waved back, pulling her hand below her desk and opened her palm, shadow-like sand traveling down her arm in a spiral motion, leaving her fingertips as she concentrated it on Thomas. She could feel something strange about him. She would move her bangs to get a better look, but that would be only for an opponent. The sand traveled along the floor, stopping itself nearly a yard away from him. Shame's eyes widened as the sand shadows (who has an annoying mind of its own) arched back, curving into a deformed "c" with ragged edges. Shame lifted her eyes to Thomas, her eyes still wide. She could smell the aura coming off him. She might need to befriend him. But there is a part of her that she will not like about him. But she will take that risk.... She was just hoping that he would.

Shame snapped her fingers to call the sand back as it shot back as if in fear, crawling up her arm and disappears into her pale skin. She sat upright, placing her hand over her aching eye as it wants to be revealed, to shoot fear and hatred into others. But she denied its begging. She turned away from Thomas and faced towards the teacher, slightly hoping she is able to spar with him. Just to see what it would be like...

Just to see what it would be like...

Rook made it to what looked like the Headmasters office after ten or fifteen minutes, the halls in the building would probably put Hogwarts to shame. If of course it wasnt so small or at least thats what it looked like to him. Regardless Rook wasnt sure he was even going to be here long, he can only stand not being around humans for so long, its just in his species nature. His family, the silver dragons, were one of the only to really like humans. So many of them transform into human form and spend most of their life in it that others believe that theyre instinct. Recently there hadnt been any sightings of a silver dragon in its original form because of modern times and their homes not as isolated since the humans like to climb mountains for sport or entertainment. In fact his species love humans so much its not uncommon for them to watch over a family for multiple generations, protecting and helping prosper.

Rook wants to actually be a human with problems and hardships but also friends and maybe even a human family. Until then he decided he may want to stay at this little school a bit to make sure that he can live along with them and not accidentally kill them instead. Student counsel could be fun though, with different people even if they are monster and probably some of them a bit unseemly.

There was always one student who questioned the value of the sparring class. This year it just so happened to be the headmaster's boy, bringing an evil grin to Kaen's face. He gestured to the ring and watched as many of the students made a path for Randal to move through.

"Be the first to enter the ring and find out." The ring itself was enchanted by Karen to erase any and all fatal damage that is done inside the ring. If (and when) someone would die in the ring they are knocked out instead, but with the full appearance of harm. Pain was still present and minor wounds wouldn't be stopped, but that was all part of the fun.

As Randal entered the ring Kaen tossed him a school training sword then held one sword up for the class to see. Anyone want to challenge him to a friendly brawl? The winner of this match gets 1 Silver star and a free magica act from yours truely."

He made the same offer every year he has been a teacher, and helping the winner was always fun. Last year the student saved her act until hallows eve and asked Kaen to conjure up a party, which in the end shut out that nights dance. Monstrum wasn't happy with that but got over it shortly after.

Shame looked over from the boy to the warlock. She saw a student enter the ring and smiled. She rose her hand as markings appeared on her skin. "I will challenge Randel to a brawl..." She stood from her seat and walked over to the warlock and held out her hand as he set the sword in her hand.

She gripped it tightly, closing her red eye as she entered the ring. She could smell his aura, which only made her smile, her canines poking over her lips. She pulled her hair up in a high ponytail, leaving down her bangs and got into a stance, her feet promptly side by side, both hands on the sword and faced her opponent.

She hopes that the sand and flames don't go out of control...

Image Gem smiled gently as his assumptions were confirmed. Xue really wasn't familiar with human culture. "It's a form of respect." He stated simply glancing over at him as they made their way towards the headmaster's office. "Although the specific meaning differs depending on where you are. In western countries bowing is reserved for royalty and is generally an outdated thing to do. For westerners bowing was done to kings and queens by common men and women curtsied to show respect. Eastern asian countries still bow to show respect for elders and people of higher status, bosses and teachers. It's more of a greeting yet still a sign of respect, like shaking hands. I bowed to you because from what I read about kitsune you hold value to pack mentality and the ideal that superiority lies in strength both physically and in the blood. If one were to compare us strength wise I'm sure you would win simply by control alone. I may have the confidence that I could tear you apart but that doesn't change the fact that you probably have more experience and control over what strength you do have. You are superior in that. Also I wanted to be sure you knew I didn't want to fight you. Bowing is a quick and easy way to show all that in one motion I guess. I probably wouldn't bow to most others, I'd shake their hands or simply introduce myself but that all depends on how familiar they are with humans."

At that point they where down the hall from the Main office. Feet from where the headmaster told the students for Student Council were told to go. "I was raised as a human, human culture is second nature to me, if ever you have questions feel free to talk to me about it, alright? I'd be happy to explain anything." Gem smiled warmly towards Xue, his sweet, innocent, terribly nearsighted pale violet eyes contradicting the subtle scent of bloodlust radiating from his petite form. His very existence seemed to be nature's greatest oxymoron.

Image Thomas was taken aback ever so slightly by the girl’s reaction to his near meaningless action. For a split second he thought he caught a look of disgust cross her violet eyes but it could well have been his imagination. Whatever magic she had control over seemed to be in motion almost constantly around her, it made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end.

It seemed some cocky student had decided to throw up a challenge. Thomas watched with vague interest. He had absolutely no motivation towards taking the challenge himself. He was just a cat what could he do? He could barely hold a single cat soul in his current form and knew nothing of the human fighting techniques people primarily used in spars like this. He did come there to learn after all.

His interest peaked however, when the young girl with violet eyes answered the challenge. ‘Frankly I hope she wins. The guy’s a bit of an asshat.’ He thought to himself. “Good luck.” He murmured to her just for her to hear before she went to answer the challenge in the ring. His tail flicked to the other side but he stayed in his casual stance, hands buried in the pockets of his fur lined jacket.

Amelia StuartImage
The boredom she suffered within the class was proving to take it's toll on Amelia, she stood at the back of the crowd watching and listening silently as the teacher picked out the necromancer, and asked the class for an opponent. The shady-looking girl bravely stepped up to the challenge, and that's where Amelia lost interest. It clearly wasn't going to be a fair fight. In the cover of the hype from the other students, Amelia slipped into the shadows and made her exit, putting her parasol up once she was outside the class and roaming the halls to block the suns rays from her delicate skin.

The hallways were just as boring as the sparring classroom, lined with antiques and classic paintings - Amelia had seen such decor many, many times before coming to Monstrum. Regardless, she just kept walking and walking until she'd eventually come across the dormitory block, to which she entered in order to look around and find her assigned dorm room. Amelia took the key given to her at the front desk from her pocket and fitted it into the lock, turned the key and went inside, slamming the door behind her with a heavily sigh as she put down her parasol and grabbed the nearest sheet she could find, stringing it up over the windows to give her some shade before she sank back onto her chosen bed and closed her eyes, hoping to sleep until nightfall.

Once out of the basement, clutching the two requested items tightly to her chest though making very sure not to damage or even scuff them as she scurried down the hallways and back to the office area. As she made her way back, Aiko passed a considerable amount of students which all seemed to be heading to the office, the thought of so many students heading that way made her somewhat nervous - but then she remembered that the demon science teacher, Imdius was put in charge of the student council, and so her worries were eased a little.

Yet still, she wanted to help however she could, which meant putting the items down for a mere moment so she could set up a blank sign-in sheet labelled 'Student Council Members, Sign Here' and placed it down on the front desk, making sure it was visible to anyone entering before picking the items back up again and giving a small knock on the Headmaster's door before entering, "I found the items, Sir" she hurries over to the desk and carefully places each item down, stepping back and resting her arms behind her back with a polite posture as she waited for feedback.

Xue remained quiet as Gem explained another of the various sides to human ways; why did they always have to overcomplicate things for no apparent reason? "I was raised as a human, human culture is second nature to me, if ever you have questions feel free to talk to me about it, alright? I'd be happy to explain anything." He heard Gem offer, and gave a slight nod, a toy bit distracted by the constant scent fluxes of the Ghoul, before suddenly another wave of scent met his nose - alongside the other scents he recognized was the scent of death, but different from the Ghoul scent - it lacked any blood.

Even corpses had the scent of blood, though it turned heavy and bitter; this had no scent of blood at all, just the scent of death. Xue slowed and stopped, noticing the sign above the door; Headmaster's Office. And the scent of death was coming from this room. A faint growl rumbled in his throat. "Just how many of the student body are dead?! It's ridiculous." Xue huffed, and then felt the air directly around him drop in temperature, causing the air to shiver as cold met warm. He instantly withdrew into himself, expression going blank and cutting off his musings, deciding he must see what this scent was.

In one quick motion he opened the door, remaining standing still for a moment as he judged his surroundings, taking in the several people in the office including the man, Strelok Xue thought he had said, a red-headed man, a young girl who was the source of the scent of death, another boy with the scent of charcoal and poison, and who he supposed to be the Headmaster.

Xue narrowed his eyes as he took a glance around, and then sidled over to the side of the door a bit both to let Gem pass him and stay close to the wall, observing the strangers with sharp teal eyes.

Rook was glad that others arrived soon after himself and really he isnt sure how he had been the first one there at all when he was sure since he was in the dorms that his location had been the furthest. Maybe there had been a shortcut? It was from speed since dragons were fairly lazy by nature, even though there are now very few left and even less of silver, and he was certainly no exception. Each person seemed very interesting and very quiet too. The air felt a bit awkward but also tense, likely because all of them probably were cautious about one anther. It made sense when theyre all monsters and even their community had wars, rumors, and harsh judgments about each species. Even dragons had a species they saw as low, mermaids. Rook had no idea why, maybe something to do with never even being on land or their smell but many dragons were prejudice about them. Either way Rook was NOT going to be the one to instigate a conversation when he honestly had little charm with anything non-human. Instead he went ahead and signed his name on the paper the woman had brought earlier, and sat down in a nice cushioned chair and criss-crossed his legs so both his knees were resting on the arms with hands in his lap.
