Lana glanced over and saw his grin. Lana gave him a weird look. She knew that he and Veron were getting close over the past month or two, but he seemed awful excited. She never would understand guy time though, so she brushed the thought away. She slowed down at a stop sign and looked both ways, twice, before speeding up again. "No, I don't care. I have some things to tell Jolie anyway." Lana said. She was going to tell her about her mom and everything. She was hoping Jolie would invite her to spend the night at her house, but if not, she would just pack up her things and head over to Triston's. They drove in silence, but it wasn't awkward. Triston was sitting there, grinning like an idiot, and Lana was chewing on her lip. Every so often she would glance over at her best friend and couldn't help but smile. Maybe he was getting hyped for the Resort, because Lana could just not fathom guy time was that great. She rolled her eyes as they pulled into the mall parking lot. Lana carefully parked her Camaro diagonally across two parking spots. She saw Jolie and Veron standing on the side walk. She smiled and got out of the car. she waved and walked over to Jolie, giving her friend a soft hug. "Hey, I have a lot to tell you." She whispered in her ear. Not that she was worried about Veron hearing, she just liked being that close to Jolie. When she pulled away, she glanced at Veron and gave him a small smile and a wave. "Hey." She said shortly. "Me and Tris didn't get to eat, so do you mind if we stop somewhere and get something?" Lana asked, hearing her stomach growl.

Veron waited silently until Lana and Triston showed up, and before he would go off with Triston, he gave Jolie a quick kiss on the cheek. He waved to Lana sweetly and ran off to Triston. "Where are we going to go?" He asked him, walking off. Veron hoped it wasn't a long walk for whatever reason. He just wanted to hangout with Triston. Maybe they'd go to his house. Veron's house was always filled with his older sisters or parents, so no privacy there. Veron turned to see Jolie and Lana gone inside, and so Veron took Triston's hand into his and said, "Sorry."

"Alright, just remember to call first if you are going to spend the night," he said, Triston remembered the last time she'd come over unexpectedly. He and Veron had been having a heavy make out session and they were so into it that he almost hadn't heard Lana coming up the stairs shouting his name. It was some quick thinking on Ver's part that they turned on his Wii and started a game of Mario Crash Carts just before she came bursting in the door and they were able to play it off as being too wrapped up in the game to have heard her. Ever since that close encounter he'd always asked that she called when she came over.

The rest of the ride to the mall was quiet, but it was a comfortabe silence and it gave him time to think of what he and Ver were going to do. As soon as they got there he calmly got out of the car and closed it behind him as he watched his best friend bound over to Jolie and start leading her away. Today he wanted Ver to lead things so he leaned against the car and just watched as things unfolded as he waited for his boyfriend to come to him. 'He really is too cute sometimes,' Triston thought to himself as he walked next to the boy. "Anywhere you want, so long as there's some food," he answered, then a perverted grin graced his features and he leaned down some to whisper, "Unless of course, I get to eat you."

His heart tightened slightly when Ver turned to check if they were alone before taking his hand and then said that he was 'sorry'. This random apology confused him more than anything at the moment, as far as he knew he hadn't done anything that warrented it. "What are you apologizing for?" he asked.

"I don't care. Somewhere with fries. Steak n' Shake? They have the BEST fries." Lana said as her stomach growled. There was one right around the corner of the mall, so they could just walk there. "I got in another fight with my mom. I umm.. I told her about the affair my dad is having, cause she was being really mean about Triston." Lana said. She wasn't going to tell her about kissing Triston. If it ever came up, of course she would ell her, but for now, she was just going to stick with storming out of the house. As they exited the mall again, (one where they wouldn't be able to see the guys,) They began walking towards Steak n' Shake. When they got there, they were seated and Lana began telling Jolie the entire story, starting from when they walked downstairs. She left the kiss out and her last comment 'How's that for whore,' and said she ran out of the house. "So yeah, that's what happened. Let's just say this Miami REsort trip might be a bit awkward for them," Lana said and tried to laugh.

Lana was engrossed in the large order of fries that had just arrived at the table. Her eyes shot up to look at Jolie when she made the boys liking boys and girls liking girls.. What was she getting at? She could have only said the part about boys.. for Triston's sake.. Lana smiled. Maybe Jolie would be interested in a girl after all. She nodded along, agreeing that life was too short. She was extremely happy that'd she'd be staying with Jolie, maybe that would give Triston and Veron more man time. More than 8 hours, so that Veron wouldn't come running back to Jolie at the end. "Okay," Lana smiled. "Face masks too! We need to start making ourselves look good for the trip. Oh! I'll have to run by my house though, get my things. It won't take me that long. Then we can go to your house," Lana concluded. She imagined them watching movies together and holding hands and cuddling, and the though sent butterflies to her stomach. She loved the feeling of Jolie's hand holding hers, and she hoped that she wouldn't move it. "Thanks Jo. You're amazing," Lana said, admiring the pretty girl in front of her.

Lana smiled brightly at her. "I can move in with you?" She asked softly as Jolie continued talking. She went over it in her head. She was 18.. And living with Jolie would be amazing. Of course there was Triston too. Jolie offered to help her pack and asked her once more if she would like to be roomies. She smiled. “Yeah, let’s be roomies.” She conclude that as wonderful as it would be, living with Triston, they wouldn’t be able to stay together forever. Tris’s boyfriend would eventually move in. At least Lana hoped that he would leave his girlfriend for Triston. He was a great guy. But living with Jolie would be better because of all the girl things they could do together. Even though Triston was gay, showers would still be a problem and she was sure that it wouldn’t be a problem with Jolie. Lana bit the inside of her cheek when Jolie said they’d be sharing a bed. They’d slept in the same bed together before, lots of times. “I can’t wait, let’s get some milkshakes to go, then head on over to my house to get my stuff. Prepare for awkwardness,” Lana ordered a cookies and cream shake. After Jolie would order hers, they would walk back to her car and drive back to the warzone that was currently her home. Not for long, though she thought and smiled.

As Lana stepped out of her car, Jolie wrapped her in a hug. She was a bit shorter than her, but the hug still felt perfect. Her best friend reassured her that she would get through this, and that helped a lot. She inwardly decided that she was going to handle this in the more mature way, the way that she should. Lately, she had been letting her emotions control the way she acted, and that wasn't acceptable. She smiled at her friend. "Thanks, for everything," she said as she looked at her friend. Jolie's hands were on her shoulder, and Lana felt like pulling her close and-- She blinked and pushed the thought away. She needed to stop focusing on her emotions so much. She took a deep breath and walked in the front door. She walked straight up the stairs, ignoring her fathers questioning calls.

"Lana? Lana, babe is that you?" He asked and quickly walked to the stairs. He watched her go up and she lazily replied to him.

"Hi father." The she turned the hallway and walked to her room.

"Hi, Jolie." Mr. Kiner said, nodding awkwardly to the girl. He was sure she knew. They had always been comfortable, friends even, but now he knew it would never be the same.

As Lana entered her room, she noticed her mother was snooping through her things. She bit back a yell, a mean comment and an insult. "Mom, please leave my things alone. I've asked before not to go in my room," Lana said, calmly.

"You're forgetting who bought you these things, and this is my house," Her mother curtly returned. Just as Lana predicted she would.

"Well then, it sounds like I'm no longer welcome in your house anymore. I'll be gone soon. Now, if you could leave, please." Lana said and turned away from her. She opened the door for her and walked to her closet and started rummaging around for a big duffle bag. Her mother simply rolled her eyes and stalked out of the room. She was calling Lana's bluff, she didn't think she'd leave. Lana pulled out the bag and sneezed once from the dusty smell. She sprayed it with perfume and shook it out. Then, she began to pull her clothes out of drawers and neatly arrange them inside. She bag laying out the things she would need for the night. Lana planned on returning the next day to get the rest of the things she needed for the Miami trip. It was almost time to leave, she couldn't believe it! Just a week and a half.

Jolie nodded quickly to Mr. Kiner and followed Lana upstairs. Lana and Her mother had a quick argument and her mother left. Jolie closed the door and helped her pack her things. She sighed as she folded Lana's clothes. Why did her mother think she dressed like a whore when at the same time, She just went on about how she bought the clothes. It was ridiculous. Jolie didn't know her mother but she hoped that she was nothing like this woman. Soon they were finished. " Hey, you doing okay?" She asked softly.

As Lana put the last things she needed into the duffle bag she let out a satisfied sigh. "Hmm? Of course, I'm fine," Lana smiled at her. Even though Jolie was her best friend, she didn't feel much like talking about it. And besides, she was trying to control her emotions. "Thanks for helping me pack, Jolie." Lana said and gave her a hug. Maybe this whole situation was a good thing. She got to spend time with Jolie, and got lots more hugs that normal, which was great. She grabbed her bag and wobbled a bit under it's weight, but when she crossed it over her shoulders, it evened out a bit. She walked down the hall and out the front door. She opened the drivers side door and flipped the feet up, so she could shove the large duffle bag into the back seat. She pushed the seat back and slid into her car. Once Jolie got situated, she started driving to Jolie's house.

Lana giggled and cut the engine. She was about to reach for her bags, but Jolie beat her to it. "Alright, Roomie!" She giggled and followed her into the house. "Yes, let's having a Channing Tatum day!" She agreed with her friend. Just because she had a crush on a girl, didn't mean she didn't appreciate the male body anymore. She still liked boys.. Maybe she was bisexual... No, I like boys.. Except for Jolie... She shook her head and follow the girl up to her room. She laid down on her bed and let out a huge sigh. "This is going to be... amazing," Lana smiled once more.

Lana squealed and jumped off the bed when her friend returned. Moving in together didn't seem completely real until now. "I am so happy. Okay, let's make some food, I'll do your nails and we'll start some movies!" She got up and headed for the kitchen. Searching the pantry she food a popcorn bag and popped it in the microwave. While she waited for it to be done, she pulled out her cell and typed a quick message to Triston. Hey, change of plans. Jolie invited me over for the night. Keep Veron all night. See you tomorrow. Love you, xoxo - L She hit send and returned her phone to her pocket, just in time for the popcorn to be ready. She searched the cab nits for a bowl and poured the buttery goodness into it. "What movie first?" she asked her friend as she settled into the couch.

Lana didn't mind scary movies at all. Her (most of the time) logical thinking allowed her to look past the scary costumes and understand that it was just a movie. She didn't buy into the whole 'ghost' thing, but she didn't have anything against the movies. "Okay," she said and grabbed a blanket while Jolie scrolled to find the movie. She sat down next to Jolie and snuggled up next to her. "Scared yet?" she teased, knowing full well how scared the girl got. "Channing before bed sounds good. I can do your nails after this one, I don't feel like getting nail polish everywhere when you have a spaz attack," Lana said. She smiled, but she was completely serious, and she would think Jo would agree. She laced her fingers in Jolie's and gave her a squeeze as the movie began. She swallowed a smile and tried to calm the butterflies in her stomach. They drove her crazy. She always got them when she was with Jolie, even more so when they were touching. She wanted nothing more than to curl up with Jolie and kiss her until the sun came up. Lana's face fell slightly, remembering what Triston had said about telling his boyfriend about the kiss. Would Jo tell Veron? That would make for an awkward vacation. Not that it wasn't going to be already, considering her parents. They had rented out the rooms, so of course they would be going still. Lana's eyes were glazed over for the first 20 minutes of the movie, lost in her thoughts.

Lana was watching the movie, mentally picking it apart and refraining from pointing out things they could have done better. She had to admit she liked that Jolie was snuggling so close into her shoulder/neck area. Since she was wearing a tank, Jo's soft face was on her skin, and it made her face hot. She hope Jolie was too absorbed into the movie to noticed Lana's heart was beating faster. She clenched her jaw and wondered if she would be able to wait any longer before she exploded. She had felt this way for.. well she wasn't sure. She knew ever since she met Jo, that she had been unusually physically attracted to her, but she figured it was because Jolie was unusually pretty. She was Hispanic and Japanese, creating an exotic result. They become best friends, and Lana was addicted to hanging out with her, and Jolie seemed to return the feeling. They were inseparable. Lana couldn't figure out why she felt so strongly for this girl, but she figured it out when she got a boyfriend. L was filled with jealousy, and it was the first time she ever lost control of her actions. Veron had accidentally spilled her pop, and she went of on him. That was one week after he and Jo started dating. That's when she first told Triston she liked someone in a relationship, and the information kept spilling from there. Lana brought her other hand up and put it on Jolie's head, and she began idly playing with her hair. Whenever she would look up, her hand would slide to her cheek. Jolie looked at the screen with horror, while Lana looked at her face with admiration.

Lana let out a nervous laugh along with Jolie when the movie ended. Jo rubbed her neck and asked if she had hurt her, and Lana shook her head softly, biting her lip. As Jolie rubbed her shoulder, Lana knew she wouldn't be able to contain herself any longer. Jolie was looking at Lana with longing eyes, and she couldn't figure it out. When she removed her hand, Lana's heart sank, but something inside of her screamed that now was the time. She took a deep breath and turned over, grabbing Jolie's face and pressing her lips to hers. She was almost straddling her, and as she depend the kiss, not necessarily even waiting for Jolie to respond, she put her leg over her lap and kissed the girl like she had never kissed anyone before. Her face was hot, and her heart was pounding in her throat, but she wasn't nervous, this felt right. More right than anything had ever felt before. She pulled back and put her forehead to Jolie's, looking down at their laps. "Jolie.. I.." She started.

Lana could have sworn her heart stopped when Jolie kissed her back. Her tongue tickled her lip, inviting Lana's into Jolie's mouth. She ran her fingers through Jolie's hair, pulling her closer to her, if that was possible. Jolie's mouth tasted sweet and her touch was warm. Lana ran her hands down Jo's sides and onto her hips. Her fingers played with the top of her shorts before sliding under her shirt. Lana's hands slid all up and down her sides, and back. She tugged on Jolie's shirt, and maneuvered them so they were laying down, Lana still on top. Lana gently bit Jolie's lip, pulling it until it escaped the grasps of her teeth. She quickly returned her mouth to Jo's and slipped her tongue inside, tasting every part of it. She couldn't control herself, one taste of Jolie would never be enough, but she was only focusing on now.

Lana blinked at her and began to put her clothes back on. When she looked again, Jolie was sobbing into her hands. Lana's face fell, "Oh honey, it will be alright. He won't hate us," Lana soothed. She cupped Jolie's face in her hands and looked into her eyes, "Listen, just tell him I kissed you, and you didn't have any control over it. Then explain that you have feelings for me, and it's not fair to do that to him, so you think it's best to break up. Then, once it settles in a bit, you and I can go public.." Lana trailed off. The first part of what she had said happened earlier that day, and she felt slightly guilty about it. She didn't feel the need to tell Jolie though, because at that point, her feelings weren't out in the open. She pulled the girl to her and wrapped her arms around her. "It will be okay. Come on. This is supposed to be a girls night. Let's have some fun," Lana smiled at her and kissed her forehead softly. She wasn't much worried about Ver, hopefully he would be in a good mood after having some guy time with Triston. Last she heard, it'd been a while since they hung out. Triston's been so clingy with his boyfriend, that Lana was beginning to worry the friendship would fall apart. They always managed to make it through though, and Lana admired even Veron for that, she had to admit. She figured now, if Jolie dumped him, she wouldn't have to worry at all because clearly Jolie had the same strong feelings as her. She had never even gone all the way with Veron. Lana smiled once more and reached for the nail polish.

Lana wasn't expecting the kiss because Jolie was upset, but it felt good none the less. She returned it with a smile. "Okay, I'll take that as you're going to break up with him," Her grinned widened, then a sudden blush swept across her face. "Do you think we woke your grandma?" She giggled a bit, hoping they hadn't. She grabbed the remote and flipped through some shows on netflix. She settled on mean girls and hit play. It was one they'd seen a million times, so she'd be able to concentrate on doing Jolie's nails, if she still wanted them done. "What colors? No girlfriend of mine is going with her nails naked," Lana said and raised her eyebrows.

Lana nodded at her girlfriend. Her mom had been texting her nonstop, but she ignored every one. Her father had called her, and she picked up. Her parents were divorcing, and her mom wasn't going to the resort. Instead, she was moving to Arizona, to be closer to her family. She wanted Lana to go with her, but Lana wasn't speaking to her. Lana also wasn't speaking to Triston. She knew that he couldn't have told her it was Veron, but she was still pissed that he didn't. She had no idea it was a mutual friend, and she had even mentioned it before, and he laughed it off. That was the part that was bugging her the most. Despite the fact that she was ignoring him, she still missed him. She had been spending all her time with Jolie, and hadn't seen him since they studied together.

"Let's go," she smiled, pulling her bag behind her.

Veron didn't expect to see Triston just out the door. He tensed, knowing his sisters would enjoy the fact that Triston had grabbed his butt and then kissed him. The sisters giggled seeing Triston join the spectacle right on time. "Speak of the devil." Sarah grinned at Triston, making Veron quite uncomfortable.
"You aren't as ugly as I thought." Jasper said, walking over to him. "Kind of hot."
"If Veron doesn't feel comfortable telling you I don't mind answering your questions. Just so long as it doesn't get me into any trouble. I do have some sense of self-preservation." Triston told them. Veron turned bright red and hit Triston lightly. "Saying that got you in trouble!" He shouted at him. Veron pushed Triston away from his sisters before they could start asking questions. They always knew how to make the situation uncomfortable and he hated it.
"By sweet hearts!" Jasper called out, peeking into the hallway. Sarah stepped into the hall and smirked.
"Don't get too naughty together." She shouted.
"But if you do, video tape it!!!" Jasper screamed, suddenly incredibly excited.
"They are perverted pedos I tell you." Veron sighed, finally loosing sight of them. He felt his phone vibrate and pulled it out as he continued to walk away from his room. He read the message with anticipation. It was from Jolie, whose name on his phone was still 'JoJo <3'. He missed her. 'Hey, I was wondering if we could do lunch or something. I know I was really angry before but I'm over that now. I still wanna be friends. If you don't want that's fine, I'll understand'
He gladly replied,
Just tell me when and where =)

Veron squirmed in Triston's arms as his voice sent shivers down his spine. "You know that I'm 18 and by law I really shouldn't be doing any of the things that you love so much." Triston said, licking his ear and making him blush. Veron, still blushing, gave Triston a smug grin and replied, "No one needs to know. The fact that it's illegal is kind of exhilarating." Veron was a good boy and never did wrong or against the rules, so to him, this was just so amazing. He quickly replied to Jolie telling her it was fine. "I'm going to meet Jolie in 20 minutes for lunch. Just me and her. You can go play with my sisters, or go talk to Lana. I recommend the latter. But until then, what do you want to do?" Veron asked smirking at him.
